Will & Rusty's Playdate - a special 2 year anniversary episode

Episode Date: September 17, 2025

On a very special 2 year anniversary episode of Playdate, the boys play a game to see if they can recall their first ever episode, Willy drops a dump in front of a girl, and Rusty talks all things GAP... jeans. The gang also discuss an alarm clock that sets the exact amount of sleep you need. Plus, the boys draft slang words that don’t exist and iMessage reactions that don’t exist. We then open mail from the Playmates and as always, we wrap up with Rusty’s song of the day. Starting point is 00:00:00 Calculating route to avoid seeing poverty. Turn left to bypass the unhoused youth sleeping on the street. Then keep right to skip by the lines of people waiting for food. Steer clear of the crowded shelter turning people away. Then take the next exit. Let's stop looking away and get in the way of rising poverty. Your donations help the United Way fight poverty in thousands of ways, like providing food, shelter and crisis prevention.
Starting point is 00:00:27 Donate today at UnitedWayGT.org. What does a sunny getaway with Air Canada sound like? Sunny Jamaica moves to its own rhythm. Rio comes alive long after the sun goes down. Philippines slows everything down. And just when you think you've heard it all, there's sunny Lima. However you imagine your sunny escape,
Starting point is 00:00:53 Air Canada can take you there. Book hot fares and vacation packages today. Nice travels. I got a, uh... You got a story to tell? Nasty fantasy teens here. No. I got a nasty story to tell.
Starting point is 00:01:14 I did something nasty this weekend. Y'all ain't gonna like it, I'm gonna tell you this. It hurts. I'll give you a hint, it's sticky and it hurts. And it smells. Guy who's bad at riddles. I'm sticky and I hurt. What am I?
Starting point is 00:01:31 Crumb. All right. Play date. Episode 41. 141. 141. Which is a great number. Which, of course, is the number worn by...
Starting point is 00:01:44 Derek Nowitzki. Oh, nice. Yep. Derek Nowitzki. Or Sergei Gonchar. Maybe. Who's that? He played hockey like 10 years ago.
Starting point is 00:01:54 but it's he's a good pull how are you guys i'm actually really good i'm actually really really good and i'm telling you the guys who say that usually i am doing really really good i'm doing really good too and it's our two-year play dateversary is it to the day andrew uh so this will come out on the 17th and the day is the 18th yeah it'll it'll move one because we we've stuck with wednesdays right yep wait so wouldn't it be two off google how leap years work no i'm just kidding uh pull up leap you pull up leap year compilation pull up best leap year moments pull up leap year moments that restored my face and faith in the calendar google top five guys who are born on a leap year so technically they're four
Starting point is 00:02:39 played it is brought to you by cash app cash app run me my check cash down this is for our two-year anniversary and we are going to look back on all the best moments of the last two years which i whoa that was crazy that was from two years ago that was a sound bite from two years ago give andrew a lot more words oh uber grab so i actually have a game if you want to do you really what yes this is why you're the play date go yeah so uh you still you got the job again i got the job uh do we have another confetti cannon or you know god that was truly i've made some horrible decisions in my life firing that confetti cannon proved to be one of the worst
Starting point is 00:03:39 decisions no i loved it i loved it it would get three pieces of confetti and the vacuum would break and i'd have to get a new vacuum how about how about all the memories we've made for two years how special is that it is beautiful stuff i never thought it would be two years i thought it would be three playmates comment down below your favorite playdate memory yeah and there's probably some people that have been either been here from the start or gone back and listened to every episode and that is terrifying that blows my mind that is absolutely terrifying you've like grown up with us i went to listen to the first episode one time and i'm not talking i'm not saying we're talking about groundbreaking stuff now but it was like what are we even doing here
Starting point is 00:04:15 the fact that the fact that anyone like 10 000 people were listening well not i think that's all retroactive okay we got like uh i mean i think it felt exactly the same re-listening to it really exactly the same as that sucks but it was like we've done we've done no maturing in two years yeah all right let's play the game i'm excited um okay so i re-listened to the first episode okay uh in honor of this and i want to see how much you guys remember okay i'm ready from the first episode so do you remember the first topic you opened with the first topic we opened with on the first gotta be plane related probably no i feel like it was like it was i'll give you a hint was it like the guys harassing me on abbott kinney meeting taste close that was a
Starting point is 00:05:02 topic but taste was in the first episode sorry me getting tased was in the first episode that yes oh that was a crazy really good memory wait both of those actually you mentioned two things right tased or harassed taste yes you were also harassed on a different occasion yes brutal day for you two years ago yeah all right what is it what was the first topic okay so it had to do with music particularly a song do you do you know what song or maybe what artist oh we were what would you were talking about a song and how it's got a it's like an adam levine song close yeah close adam levine adam levine has a song with this like the script or something or like maroon five no oh the man the man who can't be moved and i was talking about how that's like
Starting point is 00:05:51 weird behavior no it's close it's like one of those bands like the script or like yes break even is that the script uh was it a plain white song like owl city or something like it's like that tell us the band because we probably want to class heroes yeah yeah oh i was talking about how how uh in it's supposed to be like take a look at my girlfriend it's supposed to be like a sweet song yeah but he calls her he does this beautiful love ballad and then he calls her not much of a girlfriend and i thought that was weird ding ding ding well done well that is but that i feel like that gym class heroes adam levine the script yeah owl city you keep trying to group the script in i don't know any i don't know any of their songs heartbreak but it don't break even break even is
Starting point is 00:06:42 okay they can't be grouped in or stereo hearts right my heart's a stereo which is the adam which is with adam damn i kind of you were you were right there or is that that's gym class heroes though yeah yes but it's featuring adam yeah but break even is the script after watching the first episode andrew if i if one of us said something that we said in the first episode do you think the other person would respond exactly how they responded like do you think there's a world where we were like if i made a comment willie would make the same joke that's a good question but yeah i mean like the way you guys retell stories i think like what no people have said that before like we've had like exact back and forth that was all right keep playing i've
Starting point is 00:07:27 started uh when i know that rusty retold retold the story i've started cutting it really yeah you saved my ass which i did this last episode yeah there was what was this repeat it was a hearing aid story with my grandfather yeah it's a killer story yeah i've heard that one a few times really yeah why didn't you say anything i feel like it feels mean to interrupt someone it does it does feel rude oh really i feel like if you were telling what i would be like we've already heard it all right all right you just opened a can of worms you're gonna regret i cut it all right anyway all right next question okay um do you remember topic so well i am i am talking about the second topic do you you guys happen to remember
Starting point is 00:08:10 no no you guys are getting harassed on abbott kenny do you remember that story harassed on abbott kenny uh oh my god we were walking to my car and a guy pulled up in another in a car that had it was something to do with the license plate no oh what did he say i remember vividly he was in like a dodge truck he was like you have to go rank this bar like uh he almost like he almost caused like a three-car pileup and oh i do remember that he was like you have to rank this bar you have to rank like it was like something remember do you remember the name of the bar that's like some gross bar you went there yes yes yes i have been there fringalgans or something like playa oh um you're close i do remember the name fringalgans
Starting point is 00:09:05 mcgilligan's mcgilligan's huh mcgilligan's mcgilligan's no oh that's close it does start with an m mackles something with jungle you didn't wait so he like screeched into an intersection and stopped and was like you got a rank yeah yeah and it like like held up traffic yeah what was the bar what is it um is it wait let me give you another hint he said uh it had big butts and fishnets oh yes uh oh my apartment i'm joking dude i love you guys i love the memory wait yeah he was like it's girls with big butts and fishnets and i remember he just said no i know i'm i'm repeating he's repeating sorry uh didn't we go and it like was not that it was like a completely normal bar i don't know tell me
Starting point is 00:09:59 it was melodies oh i never i've never even heard that bar um okay do you remember your first pitch willies was uber grab what tinder for dogs no third base cop what's third base cop it's like you know how like when a batter swings in baseball and they can't they to decide whether he went or not they they point down to the third base right higher and he goes like it's like a cop uh if you go too far in the intersection and then try to roll back and they get pulled over it's like i didn't go and then he sends it down across the intersection there's a cop on the corner and he's like uh my first pitch was probably like something to do with time travel um no we're sucking at this i know tell me i don't blame you
Starting point is 00:10:56 for not knowing okay so rusty your pitch your first pitch was um it was a device that you put your underwear to make your farts smell like other people's farts so that they like them yeah i like that yeah yeah yeah yes uh yours was charge bed charge bed your phone charges anywhere in your bed so that you don't have to worry about plugging it in every night and you can fall asleep while scrolling god that was good i that might be one of my best pitches yeah same honestly i had uh i think the my first 15 were all like poop adjacent you know what's nice about charge bed and that i'm thinking about now is like two years later i'm like how much like how was that a problem i was you don't remember this every day you would come to
Starting point is 00:11:46 work and you had like two percent i know that's what i'm like i'm like it's like a sign of like i've grown up a little bit like i plug my phone in and set it to the side every night and then go to bed yep and uh you still fall asleep on your food sometimes yeah well i'm working like you know one thing at a time one thing at a time but i'm saying like that was like a huge problem for me dude i think yeah i'm so glad i sleep in my bed every night i didn't charge my phone do you do you see us as more mature now like the exact same sucks but i have like a crate like a whack haircut um it was shorter yeah for sure wait i have a question you do you look a lot older i will say in a good way like hotter like yeah mature hotter say it hotter if we if we recorded
Starting point is 00:12:30 that episode today would you do you think that anyone would notice that it was we were acting different i mean uh acting different no i mean obviously look different but i think you could i think you could redo the episode word for word post it and it would everyone would be like yeah this is which i don't think i don't think that's a bad i don't think that's a bad thing we haven't evolved i think i think it's like no i think it means like well you've added like bits and stuff like that but i think that like you guys are definitely like funnier now okay that's good but i think that means like you guys have stayed like high quality for a long time that's right i like that started high ended high that actually makes me feel good because i always am stressed
Starting point is 00:13:16 about the thought of someone whenever someone's like i started over and i watched from the beginning i want in my head those are really bad episodes so i would not want them to watch it but that makes me feel better yeah i think to be fair i feel like most podcasters like they'll be like oh my god our first episodes were so terrible and i'll go back and listen i'll be like this is still how you sound like not just you guys yeah interesting podcasters too interesting okay Let's keep going. I mean, the episodes are better, though, I think, now. Do you remember your second pitch?
Starting point is 00:13:48 We had two pitches back then? We did three, actually. Three each? Three each. Jesus. We were madmen. We were so young and bushy-tailed. Full of energy.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Young, spry, full of huge bushes. Where my bush was pouring down my leg and out of my socks. Yours was braided. Mine was braiding. mine was mine was brain dead i had a brain dead brain dead bush new band name i call it um yeah my i don't know what you can i feel like you won't remember any of these um so rusty your second pitch was uh allegations be gone you remember this one uh it was like a goo that you would rub yourself rub on yourself and it would get rid of any allegations that there were
Starting point is 00:14:38 there had to be more to it there's no it was for it was for only for the falsely accused i believe no wait like like criminal allegations i thought it was like it was like people would forget what you did last night so so that was originally what you guys debated was uh who rusty was like well willie said well what about like people that have done bad things yeah do you have like an example maybe like who would you think of that maybe r kelly oj simpson no i i said one on the pod yeah you said a person michael vick if you would remember what michael vick harvey weinstein no matt lauer crystalia crystalia what did he do oh he was like creeping that was two years ago wow yeah okay what was my second pitch baseball yours was uh toilet paper as a utility oh yes that is a
Starting point is 00:15:37 good one i stand by that which i thought was a great one i've come up with a few iterations of that i think you should i think there's a number and i'll and then i'll drop it but i think there are a number of things that we use every day that it's like if we utilize these things don't know if that's a word everyone right but it's like toilet paper hand soap olive oil like there are so many things around your house that it's like everyone has kind of the same industry standard like you don't right need anything fancy bay leaves the essentials toaster bay leaves refill my irish coffee it's just like why do you have to like why am i always running on toilet paper and paper towels when it's like just make it a utility and you pay monthly and there's
Starting point is 00:16:22 a huge role in the basement and the landlord has to deal with it speak a huge one huge role yeah it goes up to everyone's really wow oh oh oh oh oh i thought you meant like it's like a huge role you gotta be a piece of you have to you literally have to grab like one centimeter of it wait speaking of speaking of using too much toilet paper yeah i woke up at flan's on saturday morning and i was going okay all right yes yes come on and i was going golfing early so she was still like a little bit of sleep and i went into her bathroom yeah and i had a business call and the client was not happy and uh i just could not it was like it was the longest i've ever wiped in my entire life where it was just like oh my god how is this still going and then by the time i'd
Starting point is 00:17:13 cleaned it cleaned it up i realized like oh my god that's a ton of toilet paper in there like and i just kind of hoped for the best and i flushed it obviously clogged the toilet and i went in and was like hi sweetie i clogged your toilet i have to go go and she woke i was like it'll be good in a couple hours just try flushing it later and i was gone from 8 30 a.m she doesn't have a plunger 8 30 a.m until 6 30 p.m and she just couldn't use her toilet all day and uh and then uh she texted me when i was out on the golf course and kind of rubbed it a little bit and was like oh my god this looked like a huge blowout and i was like you know what whatever i had a i had kind of a funny situation too i uh i went to the bathroom i there's a girl also girl at my
Starting point is 00:18:05 house which is epic uh i've kind of seen a girl for a couple weeks now let's go got a good thing going yep uh but i went to the bathroom and i guess she decided to try to scare me when i came out of the bathroom and that was the one time i decided to take like a humongous dump so i was in there just i thought she was in the living room like i thought it was like finally like like i could like 30 i was literally in there for like 10 minutes like crapping a bunch and like like farting and like making noises and then i come out and she's like ah and i was like oh my god were you there that whole time she's like yeah what were you doing and i was like oh no oh shitting so yeah kind of uh was that your first fortunate luck was that your first poop
Starting point is 00:18:51 when she was over well yeah because i i honestly wouldn't have thought about it but then you were saying it and then i was like yeah i don't want to be stinky but she was over but i i was she i don't understand you wouldn't have pooped there but then you thought about what i said what did i say you were like you're like i'll never poop around a girl yeah so i've been more conscious about it now the problem is you were always you were always like what that's crazy just poop i know but i think you got in my head a little bit yeah i'm sorry but then in this context it was the night before my big 20 mile run so she was at my house but i was there were a bunch of people over and like her friends and stuff too so i was like i'm going to bed i'll see you tomorrow yep like
Starting point is 00:19:36 i had closed the door to my room my bathroom's in my room so i thought i was safe you know what i mean so it was like oh this was at night it was at nighttime and i i had said goodbye and was like i'm going to bed because i need to sleep and get good sleep for my race and she was out partying in the living room and decided to come in and scare me while i took a cosmic dump and so she she's like ah oh yeah i know it was like don't go in there like get out it was bad so i tried to sneak one right and i don't know what lesson i learned from that but i think i should just i should have stuck to my guns and just pooped normal what like you would have announced it and i should have announced it hey everyone i'm going to bed but before i do that i'm gonna take
Starting point is 00:20:18 a cosmic i'm gonna go take a gnarly trasher so yeah so that's the thing i did so that's where i'm at so do you guys fart in front of each other now no i think i subconsciously kind of hold my farts in and then yeah the moment they leave they leave the room i just yeah yeah it's really i need to rein it in a little bit because i originally was not farting around my girlfriend yeah and then i think i've gone too far in the other direction i've gone too far in the other direction because i told you i asked her yesterday because i really was putting on like a just a stinky clinic like just every every like 30 seconds like crazy fart and then i was like you know this is kind of weird and so i asked her i was like when when was the when did we fart in
Starting point is 00:21:12 front of each other for the first time because it's gotten to a point where clearly it wasn't recently and she reminded me i think i've told the story the first time i ever farted in front of her we were at her house and i she had apparently never heard of pull my finger and so i got her with pull my finger and that was the first time i farted in front of her and so i think that just completely blew the doors wide open where it was like yeah yeah i was letting him rip yesterday during the well i did not like not to not to be that guy but as i mentioned i ran 20 miles yesterday which was that is crazy at a blazing pace 8 i ran my 18 8 21 which i ran my my 18 mile run i ran at 857 and the new shoes new shoes new mojo what's the new mojo i'm just
Starting point is 00:22:00 swaggy lately i just got it lately i've just kind of been i just got it i've just kind of been like swagging around no i don't know what what it was it was the new shoes it was uh the it was really overcast which was nice because it's been really hot lately yeah and uh i just kind of pushed myself from the beginning and i just i just felt great did you have a beer after or was that a different photo yeah and i went to the bar after you're on sunday afternoon by myself and had a couple modellos oh you went to a bar by yourself well i went with scott but he wasn't drinking so i just went and had a few beers you've been you're on a tear i'm red hot but i was gonna say that i so then after that like my stomach that's you're like right i'm eating just eating like goos goos
Starting point is 00:22:40 and modellos and modellos and then uh shawty was like we're going to the see the conjuring so okay so while i'm on my three hour run this whole plan gets hatched when i get back and scott's like you you you missed everything but we're all going to the conjuring and you have a ticket is in the theaters in the movie there's a new conjuring oh okay so i got home and was told i had no choice i had already been purchased a ticket to see the conjuring with all my friends and aforementioned shawty and so scott friends with her like girlfriends yes everyone's kind of we're all kind of in the same we run in the same circles uh and uh we went to the movies and i was thankfully like every time there's a jump scare fart like but like you know horror movies
Starting point is 00:23:29 are it's like they're very like either very quiet or very loud so it was like my stomach is in shambles and it would be like like some creepy scene and they're like the moment i got the opportunity i would just let it rip you think there's gonna be a jump scare and there's not yeah it's one of those ones where it is a jump scare but it's dead silent everyone's like you just hear like there were a few like like they tease it sometimes we think there's gonna be a jumps here there's a point where they turn there she's play fidgeting with the garbage disposal yeah spoiler no yeah i mean i'm spoiling the new conjuring i guess hand down the thing she's like fidgeting with something in the garbage disposal and so it's like oh my god
Starting point is 00:24:09 her hands gonna get it actually doesn't yeah but oh i did not like the new conjuring movie for the record i'm watching watching a scary watching a scary movie with your lady that is that is what i hate it oh really i don't like scary movies this only happened because i was gone for three hours on my run like i would never have consented to nobody likes them but it's like when you're watching them together it's like i'll protect i'll protect you from yeah you feel like i was not like it was the opposite i was i was so scared i just look in the corner like sitting i was literally like i was like protect me from these demons oh she's holding you yeah i remember that was like like eighth grade and like freshman year when you first started hanging out with girls
Starting point is 00:24:54 that was like the thing that you did was scary movies and it was like i don't bless you add in a horror sound effect add in a jump scare right there if you don't mind no no wait when it goes to willie make his face make his face the um the that demon from uh what's the like he looks like darth maul i think that's a conjuring is that the conjuring like one of the og ones yeah make make willie's face the face from the conjuring when he farts demon the conjuring it's the red and black guy no like red and black demon oh you're talking like god those are horrifying i really didn't like the conjuring insidious that's what it is insidious make willie's make willie's face that when it cuts to him when he farts
Starting point is 00:25:50 is this guy not in the conjuring oh that guy's the same yeah that's the protagonist of the movie i yourself that's what confused me what else is he and he looks so familiar uh he's in girls that lena dunham show have you seen that gif with him no i think he just looks like bob odenkirk in the new one he looks like bob odenkirk a lot you know they say demons are supposed are supposedly very uh attractive and that angels are actually the scary ones what the hell does that mean in the body if the rose literally as satanist no in the bible oh they talk about how d uh angels are very scary looking to ward off bad things i guess i didn't really get that i kind of skimmed it but it was uh oh he's in the nun too and demons are apparently they made a nun
Starting point is 00:26:40 too uh i bet you know half the time when i'm like what is that guy in and then i look at the movies and i don't recognize it if you go to the filmography it's always like one episode of parks and rec he was like yeah or like one episode of the office he was the delivery man who's that guy that's he's an extra in like everything he is like kind of chubby and has rosy cheeks and curly hair paul giamatti google like patten google like chubby chubby guy rosy cheeks in extra is it patten oswald no he's like never been at a he's never been a credited actor but you'd recognize him because he's in like literally everything he's never been credited to my knowledge i don't think he's ever had like a line in a movie he's just in everything
Starting point is 00:27:23 oh man wait wait i think it's popped up on the ai thing though if you go back it's i just get pranked no uh yeah jesse heman hyman is in fucking everything in the background so like you'd recognize him from these movies but you've never heard him talk huh you remember this guy he's in the back yeah look he's like in the background of spider-man He's in the background of like... Was he from the GoDaddy commercial where he like mixed out with a girl? Yes, he did make out. He did, yes.
Starting point is 00:27:57 Yeah, GoDaddy. He made out with like a sexy lady. It was like a Super Bowl commercial. Yeah. Wait, can we watch it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just the way he looks is so funny. There are two sides to GoDaddy.
Starting point is 00:28:15 there's the sexy side represented by bar raffaelli and the smart side that creates a killer website for your small business represented by walter together they're perfect is that danica patrick calculating route to avoid seeing poverty turn left to bypass the unhoused youth sleeping on the street then keep right to skip by the lines of people waiting for food steer clear of the crowded shelter turning people away then take the next exit let's stop looking away and get in the way of rising poverty your donations help the united way fight poverty in thousands of ways like providing food shelter and crisis prevention donate today at unitedwaygt.org get your domain and website at godaddy.com
Starting point is 00:29:13 that's awesome shut your mouth before i fuck it yeah my jokes they sorry that's kid cuddy lyric yeah look he's in the he's in literally every movie just for like a second that's awesome he's in bones he's in the background wait that go back to the what's the one where he's dressed as a native american that's oh it's he's the mascot in 17 again that's where i fucking know i'm from he's in the social network and they asked yeah he's right that's crazy they asked him like why do you think why do you think you're in everything and he was like i think it's because i'm just like the most normal looking guy possible yeah and everyone was like okay why else do you think i fuck with his body so funny oh man

Starting point is 00:34:14 was that was just our first big clip i remember what about first viral clip was mine the thing that it's like that thing that goes under your door in your bathroom and it takes all the noises of you pooping and makes it sound like you're on a business call so that if someone's sitting in your bedroom no but it was like loud shitting it's like yelling at the client it was bathroom related shocking um now tell me it was the toilet paper banister toilet paper banister what is that oh my god you slide down it to wipe your ass and then you just peel it off yeah it was like yeah you get you get we walk out of the bathroom and then you slide down the railing and it wipes your butt
Starting point is 00:34:53 in one swipe. That was it. That's really funny. Okay, I'm in. Willie, I'm sure you don't remember yours. I don't know. It was an axe throwing place
Starting point is 00:35:05 for ex-convicts. Oh, yes. Yeah. It's for ex-convicts by ex-convicts, right? I think anyone could go. Oh, it's run by ex-convicts. But it was run by ex-convicts
Starting point is 00:35:18 in case they still had like a... It's like a way to let out their... yeah yeah exactly i like that i think that would work yeah um oh laser tag place run by like retired cops really intense uh do you remember the original name of this podcast podcast two i hope that that's funny that was our first i really wanted to be podcast too and they wouldn't let us do it and i'm really glad they didn't what was it gonna be seo of like people trying to search podcast yeah wait it was the perfect it wasn't play date it wasn't play episode one you guys hadn't even decided on it episode play date was the perfect name but i do remember
Starting point is 00:35:59 not being not being totally sold on it at first what was field trip no no it was a field day wait wait will and rusty school bus it was like will and rusty's time machine what was it it was good news oh really yeah that's a horrible name really well good good thing we settled on play it like the good news podcast i do remember that i think it was because we both liked that mac miller song called good news never heard that i got good news today that's my mac miller impression yeah um okay two more things I got good news Willie do you know whose concert you're going to
Starting point is 00:36:45 After the pod Matt Joy Gracie Abrams What I just heard for the first time Two years ago September I was going to see Future Birds
Starting point is 00:37:00 I was going to see Snatch Walton No Zach Bryan Dude Dude, what the... Wait, I have a question. We all saw that video of him.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Like, jumping over the fence? How did he not, like, shred his hands? I know, it's kind of badass, actually. What if that's, like, the barbed wire manufacturers? Like, no one had ever tried it, so they kind of just mailed it in, and then they saw this video, and everyone's like, oh, fuck. I just was thinking about how funny it would be if, like, if you were to see this video, it's like...
Starting point is 00:37:29 Do you see the video? Yeah. If you see this video, it's a guy who's, like, getting his pants caught on the barbed wire, and then his, like, ass caught on the barbed wire. Could you imagine? Yeah, that would be awesome. Chester sent me a video one time of a guy trying to get away from the cops
Starting point is 00:37:43 or whatever, and he goes around a corner, and then when they find him, he's upside down suspended by his pants snagged on the thing and then pantsed him, and so he's hanging literally at the ceiling but completely suspended by his pants on the fence. That would have been all time. That would have been a career ender for Zach Bryan. After all of this, that would have been what took him down. He was at that festival to, like, do a surprise pop-up during this Girl Gabrielle Roses set
Starting point is 00:38:14 who he has, like, a song with. Okay. And then in the middle of this, like, beautiful, like, love song that he surprises small artists on, like, a small stage to, like, do a nice thing, he yells, like, fuck Gavin Adcock, like, in the middle of it. It's like, way to make it about you. Yeah. I think I, I was, he was slowly getting back into My Good Graces.
Starting point is 00:38:32 Oh, really? I was just. I just think he's, I think. I just like his music. I honestly feel bad for him. he's clearly just a very troubled yeah they don't even think it's his fault i mean he's like just ill yeah do you see that you see his girlfriend looks identical to that was bad and then she has a she apparently has an engagement ring on oh she don't get that bag i was thinking like if i found
Starting point is 00:38:53 myself if there was a woman version of zach bryan and i was single and i knew it was gonna end poorly but i would get like 12 million dollars after i would just be like i'll just tough it out for like a year yeah yeah i yeah i want a million dollars we can do that we can get that figured out one day really yeah yeah okay andrew came to mj lenderman nice yeah it was so fun we had a great time i think honestly willie you're probably one of my favorite people to go to a concert with because you're like so fine with just chilling in the back i don't i get too anxious up front and it is so like so nice to just sit in the back not have to worry about like being touching someone being in someone's way blocking someone's view it was great sit back enjoy the music is
Starting point is 00:39:41 that mostly a thing it was it's a p thing it's just an overall crowd anxiety kind of thing that started during covid i just get like yeah i don't like being like in a crowd where it's like everyone's behind me kind of pushing it i don't know why but like ever since after covid i just started going to concerts and be like yeah i like i hate grocery stores now kind of like after covid you realize how gross like eating when you're bowling is yes that's so specific but yes well someone said that to me one time where they were like it never occurred to be how gross it is to be like eating chicken fingers and then like mashing your fingers into like a hole that everyone else has been that is a good point yeah but it was yeah it was it was perfect we were
Starting point is 00:40:17 sipping on ipas andrew's buying me ipas i know i wish i went and we were just chilling in the back and yeah it was really really it was nice i mean like uh you could just like go to the bar whenever you want yeah you know go to the bathroom whenever you want it was just like an amazing way to do a concert i've never done a concert like that it's just like yeah also like everyone's just like chill it's all like i saw tiktok the next day it was like uh in a room with all the hottest lesbian people in la and the most normal looking white dudes in all of la yeah it's like kind of true i uh that one oasis i've i've bailed on a handful of things in the last like month that i'm like oh i probably should i need to get better about just doing
Starting point is 00:41:05 stuff i get so tired after the week and i just go home and do nothing what's understandable i need to i need to i need to make an effort to do more it was a really fun too because we had like we had like 20 people yeah we had a big and scott had like invited people i didn't even realize it was really fun and we all met up and we all took the train and it was like kind of like a fun like the train looks fantastic yeah we all bought beers and yeah and then uh the funniest part of the night was we were taking the train back and i think one of the guys on the train was like tweaking or something and he had this backpack with him and as soon as we got off the train do you remember this wait on the way home on the way home yeah okay um yeah i mean i remember i don't
Starting point is 00:41:47 remember what he did after we got off the train so we got off the train he just throws his backpack like on the ground and like leaves it like maybe like oh i didn't notice that maybe like 20 feet away from us and the girls are like oh my god he just like left that backpack right there like should we like do something like and i was like no it's fine like our ubers are coming and so we're like waiting for our ubers for five minutes we turn around the backpack gone like not a single person has like walked by since this guy has dropped his backpack here and we turn around it's like gone wait was this after i had left no do you think it was still there device oh huh you think it was like a time travel device probably yeah that's probably that's
Starting point is 00:42:29 where my brain you think it was like dr brown or what's the guy doc brown yeah yeah doc brown told him by his government name but yeah they were just like oh my god the backpack's gone the backpack's gone where is it like who took it like nobody has like walked by there was like it's like literally like 2 a.m 3 a.m at this point yeah nobody's around and this backpack just like disappeared the moment we turned it back on it oh backpack on train kills me or uh scares me kills me bro that's just so funny backpacks on trains scare me after that netflix doc i watched on the train bombers. The Tinder swindler.
Starting point is 00:43:08 Dude, you guys gotta watch Unknown Number. Unknown Number. You spoiled the whole thing. You know, I got spoiled for me on TikTok and I watched it anyways. It was awesome. I watched the fucking summer. I turned pretty last night. How much of it?
Starting point is 00:43:24 The whole most recent episode. It's so bad. Yeah. It's horrible. It's not a good show. Yeah, it's horrible. Is your lady a fan? yeah yeah it was pretty rough it was this nothing happened was that the episode where uh she's in paris yeah she has a party she yeah yeah yeah and like she has like eight roommates in paris yeah and everyone's like yeah that makes sense and then yeah oh what's the one's name he
Starting point is 00:43:51 has a funny what's her roommate's name it's like core core oh i don't remember something cornfield wait can you look up belly's roommate name this isn't a prank sorry go ahead though clovis there it is you found it yeah clovis worth it wait you gotta see this guy clovis get out of here i think they're french oh they don't even show them wow well this guy like doesn't exist yeah the samurai turned pretty characters that don't exist clovis we just made someone up clovis he's gonna hook up with that other girl that he's crashing with though the other girl he's crashing with the the like shaggy hair guy
Starting point is 00:44:42 the one that she was engaged to what about him was it jerem jeremiah jeremiah he's gonna hook up with the girl that he's crashing on her couch. Yeah, Denise. What's her name? Calling it. Yeah, they had a little bit of chemistry there. What's the main girl's name again?
Starting point is 00:45:00 Belly Conklin. That actually might be funnier than Clovis. Belly Conklin? Is she hungry? You're clip farming. Are you proud of this? Belly Conklin? Why doesn't she just eat?
Starting point is 00:45:17 Oh my god. anyway what um belly conklin she have abs benny conklin did you oh you want to hear something crazy my favorite mj lenderman song is called left your smile and uh the night he hasn't played it since 2019 the night after the show we went to he played it for the first time since 2019 where in oakland oh left your smile i didn't know he's a democrat what does that mean well i don't know what i kind of mailed that one in belly belly conklin is there is there tummy grumbling do you roadmap it up um oh we gotta finish oh sorry sorry um i just you've been doing trivia
Starting point is 00:46:14 one more i have one more thing one more thing um do you remember the bar you reviewed after the first episode uh uh prince of wales nope the brig no uh rooster fish no hanano the whaler it's in satel it's in oh tiny's high dive tiny's high dive that's satel nice i like that bar i like that a lot it's a fun bar did you feel it when you yeah that was it nice happy two years happy two years you know two if two years from now here's my prediction two years from now that number says four
Starting point is 00:46:59 so two years ago we were doing our episodes did like 2,000 views I think it was less than that to start 1,000 views we now on YouTube do like
Starting point is 00:47:14 20 right or 10 we do a lot less we do total like 40 per episode so by that logic we will be
Starting point is 00:47:22 we'll have four four million views listeners in 40 oh yeah it'll be whatever 40 times 40 is 16 160 million 160 1600 all right we have a beautiful episode for you guys today we're gonna hear your pitches followed by our pitches then we're gonna do am i the asshole and then we're gonna do everyone's second favorite segment this guy rocks teach someone else something okay i feel bad one of the uh a playmate made a made a andrew told him to make like a dubstep jingle
Starting point is 00:48:00 for it and i thought it was just like a little too much on the ears for like audio listeners and andrew told him i hated it i did not i did not tell him that he hated can i hear it uh yeah so he made multiple ones i sent one in our group chat i didn't say that you hated it i said uh uh well so originally i thought it'd be funny to do like 2014 like dubstep and then which he nailed like if that was the if that was the which he nailed the direction yeah he nailed it also i didn't even talk about i didn't even finish talking about something i wanted to oh yeah what was it that i went to that um it's like pop-up show did you see it on my story at hanano that was the coolest thing i've ever been to in my life yeah wait so what was the football you threw him a
Starting point is 00:48:46 football so this band i like called rc drive put on their instagram story they're like well they had a show on friday night and scott wanted to go i was interested i know i'm not like die hard die hard but scott's really into them and i know a bunch of the songs and i like them and but the tickets were like 200 bucks and we're like we're not gonna do it 200 it was at the troubadours it's a pretty small venue and that for friday night and that but then they announced then they post saturday we're gonna do so we decided we weren't gonna pay the money because we weren't gonna blah then they know it's saturday we're going we're doing a pop-up at hanano we're like oh that's perfect for two guys who just were like yeah seems a little pricey so we just walked over
Starting point is 00:49:24 to hanano we're just throwing a football on the way there like we sometimes do when it's nice out so just had the football there and then the guy the one of the guys in the band austin is a guitarist or something like he i guess he saw us in the crowd or something and like before the show came down and was like yo what's up and i guess is a uh a detard if you will whoa that's crazy which is really cool and i was like i was like oh my god this is sick and he was like dude throw me that during the show and i was like okay all right uh and i was like i was really nervous then like the whole so they go up on the roof of hanano and played the set which was the coolest thing it was like it felt just like cool like old school venice or what maybe i like romanticized
Starting point is 00:50:10 venice to be yeah it was just like people out in the street there's like a liquor store there so everyone's just like buying beers at the liquor store filling up the street like cops didn't do anything like they had no permits to like be on the roof at one point they were like if you guys can figure out how to get up on the roof come on up and so people started like going up on the roof and then at one point i pointed at him and he was like i'm ready so i launched the football and i just i sailed it right over his head we have you you have practiced throwing only attempting to throw it over the roof and here yeah exactly kicked in but it was so it was just like cool it was like and then it was like someone was like crowd surfing they were like pouring pitchers of
Starting point is 00:50:44 beer into people's mouths off the roof it was just like cool rock and roll during the sunset on top of hanano and then at the end the guy was like lead singer's like all right i'm gonna go jump off the pier into the ocean if anyone wants to join me and i'm pretty sure i didn't go but i think he went down and jumped off the pier into the water that's awesome it was just like sick like i they need to do that more yeah but i don't think there was any like legality to any of it like i don't know if you're allowed to like have like all those people i don't know how that works but it was just cool that everyone's just like this is objectively cool we're not gonna like yeah make it weird and it was just fun are they a pretty big band yeah they're yeah yeah they're
Starting point is 00:51:21 big sick they're they're uh they have a few like pretty big songs and uh they're like so good yeah they sounded awesome and uh it looked it looked like out of a movie yeah it felt like well i feel like that's like what my i know your for you pages probably like stocks and stuff but mine is what you're you you're you're you get that break come on stocks and stuff i don't know what you went to business school right i know i went to regular college and took some business classes all right yours so yours is like portfolios and stuff mine could be cool stuff too no i'm joking but my that's like all i get on my 40 pages it's like bands i like doing like whenever there's like a cool like all american rejects pop up or like mount joy was doing pop-ups for a little and
Starting point is 00:52:11 like all those videos i'm always like damn i wish i could be there so to actually like get to be there for like something like that was like right down the street from your house yeah it was really really special we missed the benson boone one a couple months ago i'm well aware um losing sleep over it no this is kind of your thing now though like these rooftop shows because it's like your second one you've been to well yeah but like the one the one on my the one on my there was one that was literally my next door neighbor yeah and and i didn't even get it i didn't even get it getting a haircut i didn't even get an email i was with chester and he said he'd talk i would have come there with half my haircut but i mean yeah they're doing another one of those two in a few weeks but
Starting point is 00:52:50 but this was more like yeah this wasn't like a rooftop show like we were down below they were on the roof it was sick um but viral at texas a&m there's an apartment complex every year that would throw a rap concert once a year yeah and one year is dram you remember him yeah it's like the broccoli song you are very special what i know i know the broccoli yeah wait what special i don't i guess it's kind of an underground dram no have you yeah you know coloring book the album uh oh yeah there's a song on that album that's just dram sings special and it's just him singing this song and chance isn't even on it oh i guess i didn't even realize but yes i know brock ram play anyway dram played and while he's performing broccoli he came down off the stage
Starting point is 00:53:40 and walked to the convenience store across the street and bought like um like pre-rolls and then like lit up a blunt and was just like uh smoking it in the crowd that's all sounds awesome that's That sounds awesome. What? That sounds like you thought it sounded like so lame. No. That's awesome. That sounds awesome.
Starting point is 00:54:01 Oh, no. That does sound pretty awesome. I didn't mean it to sound that way. Maybe I just jumped down your throat because I was nervous and lashing out. Yeah, apparently Willie and I got that wrong. It's jumping at each other's throats, and we keep being like... Wait, really? We're jumping down each other's throats, which sounds like sexual.
Starting point is 00:54:18 I don't know. I was jumping down it. I guess they're jumping each other's bones right now. I'm jumping my bones. i saw like another my bones video that seemed like one of those uh uh like college apartment complexes you know where it's like the courtyard in the middle is like a pool where people like hang out and then the buildings like built around that yeah someone was having their wedding there which was kind of weird and there were just like other tenants like grilling and listening to music
Starting point is 00:54:41 there and and the video was suggesting like look at these assholes like ruining the wedding it's like no they live here and you're like for some reason doing your wedding okay still though they're doing their wedding there i'm not going to grill and listen to music i think they were like out there grilling i don't know it was like a it looked it looked they were far away all right y'all let's talk about seat geek because i am not kidding i've talked about on the pod today but i just bought tickets today on seat geek i'm going to see the giants and dodgers play this Sunday and uh I'm gonna be rooting for the Mets and uh no SeatGeek is is literally the it's the number one rated ticket act ticket app ticketing app and it's for a reason uh they have

Guys, we want to take a quick moment to talk about a new sponsor of the pod, Lucy. Lucy is intelligent nicotine for adults designed by scientists to deliver you the most satisfying nicotine experience and always tobacco free. Whether you use nicotine to enhance focus, boost your energy or relax, there is a Lucy for you. They offer products from hydrating breakers, which is what I use.
Starting point is 00:57:22 I got the eight milligram mint breakers. I probably went through three this episode. They offer pouches, lozenges, gum with individual servings ranging from 4 mg all the way up to 12 mg, ensuring satisfaction for even the most demanding nicotine routines. Like I said, my favorite product is the 8 mg Mint Breakers. They are my jam. And every time they deliver some to the office, I take two logs and I hide them in my office. Sometimes I steal them and ship them to my brother.
Starting point is 00:57:56 Is that true? No. I use them for focus, energy, to relax, all of the above. I like to use them on the golf course. I like to use them. Hey, I'll say it. I'll be the first one to say it. If I have a beer in my system, there is probably going to be 12 seconds between when that sweet, sweet Lucy touches my mouth and when I like to have them when I have a beer, too.
Starting point is 00:58:19 Give Lucy a shot today by going to Lucy.co slash Friday and use promo code Friday for 20% off your first order. again that's lucy.co slash friday and use promo code friday to save 20 off on your first order warning this product contains nicotine nicotine is an addictive chemical let's get back in the episode and then after this guy rocks we are going to do teach me something should i play the this guy rocks song oh yeah so there's two here it's from coop so shout out to coop for making these. Pull up the coop with the plop. I can play them.
Starting point is 00:58:56 I'll play both and we'll get the general opinion. Oh, this is the Playdate song. I thought you meant the This Guy Rocks song. This Guy Rocks song. There's rocks in my yard? That's not This Guy Rocks song. That was what it is. That's just like a play date.
Starting point is 00:59:26 This guy rocks. I love it. I just think it's personally, I think it's personally probably a little hard on the ears for audio listeners. And then I said like something a little bit more like jingly. Calculating route to avoid seeing poverty. Turn left to bypass the unhoused youth sleeping on the street. Then keep right to skip by the lines of people waiting for food.
Starting point is 00:59:52 Steer clear of the crowded shelter turning people away. Then take the next exit. Let's stop looking away and get in the way of rising poverty. Your donations help the United Way fight poverty in thousands of ways, like providing food, shelter, and crisis prevention. Donate today at unitedwaygt.org. this guy rocks there's rocks in my yard i mean i fucks with it but i'm confused about it's do we sing the
Starting point is 01:00:38 whole song or it's just a different version i think he's saying we would put we would play that in lieu of in lieu of the song yeah all right let's let's huddle uh and then after what is it after teach me something we're gonna willie and i are gonna do more slang words that don't exist and yeah you're due for some i didn't i don't i really really hate myself and then we are gonna do we're gonna finish up with iphone reactions that don't exist so there's like ha ha love it like stuff like that we're gonna do more for you yeah and then we'll wrap up with rusty's song of the day and maybe some mailbag if we have any mailbag zero at a time i had one i actually had one desk but i forgot 149 bay street santa monica california
Starting point is 01:01:27 oh yeah baby mailbag zero at a time mailbag not making it run we'll find the mailbag making me cry mailbag zero zero to open mailbags making me cry i gotta get my i gotta get my body like looked at but for science or something right i gotta get my body looked at for science or something yes that is exactly what i was thinking oh take me now take it for science my mom just got a new dog and we're voting on names for it do i get a vote yeah one eighth vote yeah what was it like snail snail my mom always tells a story about her my dad and my and her brother were on a road trip one time and i don't know what they were trying to decide like where to eat or something or whatever and they said on the road for whatever they were voting on for the
Starting point is 01:02:23 road trip my uncle tim my mom's brother got one eighth vote and he got apparently like they were like my mom and dad he's got one vote and he got one eighth vote and he got like really upset about it apparently it was like like that it was like mean or something disrespectful but they were telling me that certain time i was like in a three-person scenario one-eighth vote is equally valuable to a vote there's no scenario in which that doesn't hold the the same weight as a full vote yeah that's actually a good right yeah yeah that's wait why'd they settle on one-eighth vote i think they were just like fucking with him i don't know they're they're i don't know if they were together they were 50 your parents got together at 50 they're like they're 20 i don't
Starting point is 01:03:07 know dude they're freaking they're like i don't know they're like they're like they're like killer guys i think they're like 140 right now my parents are vampires all right let's hear a pitch all I was doing a thing. No, I liked it. Oh. Oh. Aw. I liked it.
Starting point is 01:03:29 Aw. Hey, Bippity, Boppity, and Boo. Boo. Bippity. I guess I'm Ann Boppity. What is the worst part about not having an alarm for the next day? Like not setting one? What?
Starting point is 01:03:47 Set one. Okay. uh you don't know how to set one what uh wait the worst part about not having an alarm for the rest of the day for the next day what does that mean is your word you're gonna wake up to i don't know maybe there's i don't know i don't have that issue waking up way too late in the day getting too much sleep and feeling groggy and sleepy okay i can actually get behind okay so maybe they're saying like if it's the weekend it's like you're not gonna set an alarm right okay yeah yeah you sleep in you miss half the day i present the eight hour alarm clock
Starting point is 01:04:24 so this high level alarm clock can sense when you've fully fallen asleep and set the alarm for eight hours past that time to get the optimal amount of sleep uh this can be adjusted to be uh if you believe your optimal time is seven or nine hours uh now you'll wake up at the best amount of sleep for you what if you woke up in the middle of night and couldn't fall back sleep for an hour it can sense that too and push your alarm back an hour no more feeling overtired and taking more naps than you need i like that so like on the weekends you go to bed at like you know one or two in the morning now it'll just gently wake you up at nine instead of letting you sleep until like noon i do i actually think this maybe could do that because it knows like when
Starting point is 01:05:10 when i fully fall asleep and stuff based on like my heart rate yeah like we will look into we're gonna call the good people at garmin and look into it i got seven hours last night what did you what did it say 45 though percent 45 out of 100 it's horrible i know i think it's it's like after the long runs like your body's like i don't know in shambles yeah all right but i gotta get wait i gotta get nine hours tonight now is that how that works eight hours and 40 minutes it tells me like how many i need to get all right i like that okay what is the worst part about drinking 10 pints of guinness uh yeah actually for the first time i think the answer is it it hurts in a multitude of ways one uh you're hammered which hurts yeah two when you wake up when i drink more
Starting point is 01:06:02 than a handful of guinness i wake up in the morning and my stomach feels like it is eating itself eating itself out eating itself from the first from the inside out sorry jesus when you have 12 years you get you get eaten out i wake up i'm like my stomach feels awesome uh no it's the it is the most pain most painful poop you've ever taken in the world yeah yeah sometimes dude i feel like guinness makes it guinness guinness makes it hurt yeah guinness goes make it hurt yeah you know what they say about guinness hurts it hurts stinks you know what they say about hertz guinness rental car yes were you super hungover on friday after mj linderman uh yeah i was a little yeah i was pretty hungover really were you yeah i was in
Starting point is 01:06:51 so much pain yeah like i guess i haven't been out on a thursday in a while because i was like i didn't even conceptualize the fact that i would have to like work today my biggest problem was like because of like we i guess took the train and we're kind of like goofing around we got home so late so late i didn't go to bed till like three yeah and then we had this like all hands company meeting at 10 a.m i could tell you were hungover because you had the you had the hungover giggles there there was like a lot of material to like punch at in this meeting but uh willie like for the first time ever was talking to me more than i was talking to him when we were usually it'd be like willie's trying to be serious and listen i would be distracting him i was just kind
Starting point is 01:07:34 of like tired and listening and willie would not stop making jokes just every you had a you had a really good one was the one about like if i went to the bathroom and that it was like we're having this like serious like all hands company meeting about like the state of our company and stuff which is good for the record that makes it sound scary but uh but there's a bathroom like right there and i was laughing i was like in the middle of this how if i just went in that bathroom and had like a like monstrous loud shit and then just walked out and acted like nothing happened you're like groaning i mean if it was me then it wouldn't be funny that beach gave me like like real like for the first time where you get like nervous to take your shirt off like when
Starting point is 01:08:18 you're in school because it was like i don't want to be i really wanted to go into the ocean because i had to pee but i was like i do not want to walk past all my co-workers shirtless right i did it And let's just say Ted's returning. You've been looking good. You've been looking real. You're looking damn good. Dude, you want to see something gross on my body? Yeah, you've shown me that.
Starting point is 01:08:37 That's like the fifth time. No, but that's new from yesterday. It had already healed. What is that? His shorts like eat into his belly. Am I chafing from my long runs? I think you got to just put Vaseline there. Yeah, I think I should too.
Starting point is 01:08:49 But I'm worried like if the Vaseline gets on my ding dong. It's going to feel too good. Yeah, feel too good. no but anyway what happened i was i was hung over definitely but i was also just yeah like it felt like an exhaustion yeah like when we went to the beach i was there for like a couple hours and then i was like i left her i think i was the first one to leave i left before you you irish yeah i thought i irished you now irish you fuck and uh i went home and i took a two-hour nap yeah well that was a funny thing i texted because we had talked about playing wingspan on friday and then i texted
Starting point is 01:09:21 andrew i was like yo wingspan and i had just woken up from a nap when i texted you that and then by the time you respond you're like sorry just woke up yeah i was exhausted but dude i dropped a 105 in wingspan what i don't know 105 points i don't know what that means it's good it's my personal record after the uh after the company beach day i had uh dinner with flan and her friends and their boyfriends and uh this was i told you a little bit about this because like andrew showed me this new gap commercial that's going around have you seen this it's like to the song milkshake oh i have seen this because this was a trivia question it's with like a dance crew right oh yeah the question was like what song is the new gap commercial to in our did you what did
Starting point is 01:10:03 you think about the music video i haven't seen it but i just my friend helena that was great but flan was in the bathroom and uh her and her friends were in there like you know powdering their noses or whatever ladies do and another like hammered older woman came in in like a really fancy dress and they were like it was out of a movie she was like what kind of jeans are you guys wearing and plan was like gap and she was like ew that's like and sort of like making fun of her for wearing gap jeans and then just left and i was like they came back and told us that we looked over and this like actually i think was the drunkest person i've ever seen not in a bar uh but yeah she was not a not a fan of gap jeans so maybe this commercial was probably go fuck
Starting point is 01:10:46 herself yeah it was funny when i was showing rusty the video this morning he like watched it the whole time with his face like the gap that i didn't like it and then and then he was like i was like i think the song is like kind of based on the doja cat song like moo or something and he was oh put that on and it was like have you seen that meme where the guy like locks in you know He's like chillin' sitting back here And then he like moves forward He was locked into Moo I was not locked into that
Starting point is 01:11:18 I was I don't listen to Moo Or I don't watch Moo I sit my white ass down and listen I just watched Moo for the first time recently Good The worst part about having 10 pints of Guinness Oh my god
Starting point is 01:11:33 We got so sidetracked there That was like 20 minutes ago If you said hangover you are flat out wrong it's the bubble guts that send you to the toilet every 30 minutes and leaves you farting up a storm yeah uh i i introduced to you guinness lavender exact replica of guinness uh available on draft or in a can with the help of the new revolutionary chemicals instead of blowing a hole through your pants you now uh you now slowly freshen the air through the office and put a
Starting point is 01:12:06 smile on everyone's face tastes and looks the exact same and is sold in identical cans and pine glass to the regular stuff before you know
Starting point is 01:12:17 it your boss will be begging you to throw back 15 pints before work there's no hangover cure yet I love that here's my only thing is
Starting point is 01:12:28 it once people caught on what was happening they would still they would still know that they're currently smelling your farts like if you're in the room and it just magically starts smelling better and you're visibly hung
Starting point is 01:12:40 over they're gonna eventually put two and two together or maybe they it is is there a part where no one knows about it oh oh yeah maybe we can make no one know about it maybe no one knows about it except you it's just for one guy and then no one else can know about it yeah it's like a single use thing yeah that's a good one all right yeah i'm in i'm in all these pitches are always about farts i know i think we said we set a dangerous precedent uh we're literal boys i am now realizing i hate my pitch so i'm gonna try and think of a new one when will you speaking of pitches yeah i'm going to the dodgers oh don't call him that oh you said pitches speaking of pitches my pit your pitch is like a new type of pitch yeah my yeah my pitch is the skorf ball
Starting point is 01:13:25 no i'm going to the i'm going to the i bought tickets today for the giants dodgers The San Francisco Giants are playing at the Dodgers on Sunday. Nice. And I'm going to go. And the Giants are who the Mets are going to race for the last wild card spot with. So I'm going to go in my Mets gear and then root for the Dodgers. I like that. People will think that's funny.
Starting point is 01:13:46 That's pretty funny. I like that a lot. But you want my actual pitch? Yes. It's the scorch ball. Scorch ball. Piping hot. Sorry, Emily Binder just sent me a weird photo.
Starting point is 01:13:57 like not like a not like a naughty photo emily binder just sent me a nude a photo of me when i had a crazy moment who's the weirdest person it would be to get a nude from gavin newsome gavin gavin nude soon gavin oh i got it skateboard too forgot about this it does all the tricks automatically you don't have to know how to do anything okay so like you can go you can pull up with a skateboard too and it's like an ai skateboard so you just have to jump and it'll do it just like does a kickflip i mean i feel like is the tech there maybe yeah there could be some like internal mechanism with like weights yeah that's what i'm saying like shifts it yeah okay it's really easy to look cool because i
Starting point is 01:14:39 want to go to the venice skate park and be like what up what up y'all what up bird up you're watching the worst show on television what the hell was that you never seen bird up no look up bird up i'm about to get bird up you've never seen bird up it's the worst show on television oh go to video just watch one second it's like a minute long hey you guys are watching bird up the worst show on television superman come on in what's your favorite what's your favorite movie all right talk to me like i'm osama bin laden no no they won't even see me it just looks like your shirt's lifting up all right talk to me like he stresses me out because i'm like i like feel you can stop it that's burda i like him a lot
Starting point is 01:15:32 i met him one time he's very nice but he oh yeah you had his birthday party i did yeah and i was on edge around him you're worried he's gonna like fuck with you well i was talking to skylar on the train i was like oh do you still work with eric andre some and he goes no i haven't in a while and he paused for a little bit and he goes how did you know i worked with eric andre and i go oh instagram and he goes oh okay and then i like totally realized i don't follow skylar on instagram like i fully just admitted that i've just like stalked him yeah that's and like it was like an old post too it was like from like skylar knows that you don't follow him probably i mean he was like really contemplating it it felt like that i was like okay yeah your follow-up question was
Starting point is 01:16:16 like are you still in eighth grade yeah wait are you that's where i'm at and i'm watching your instagram how's the rowing team um all right this is the word is probably the worst pitch i've ever had and i wish i could have come up with something better but this is where i'm at what is the what's the worst part about um what's the worst about a part about taking classes in school the teachers are too damn hot you ever had like a really hot teacher say really yeah is that what actually you were gonna say no have you ever i actually do want to talk about one of my hot teachers though if you guys have had one um we had one but she like played into it too much yeah and it became inauthentic yeah well because it's only hot when you're like they don't even know
Starting point is 01:17:00 they don't even know you don't even know what you're doing to us back here yeah i took a i i took a class i took a pill in an undisclosed year of my life because i don't want them to know that i thought this yeah but it was covid so it's just the close so oh my god i didn't even think about that okay it was covid so everyone was wearing masks and you know when you're like they gotta be hot under that mask because like what is exposed yeah chewed wear these like dresses and we would just drive me and my buddies nuts and because we had no hot teachers it was like but then after like a first couple days we were like you know what it's probably because of covid and we're like there are hot teachers but we just we've
Starting point is 01:17:43 seen their face so we know they're not so you don't even recognize and then we had an we had a virtual class one time and she was not wearing a mask because she was at home all of our suspicions were true this teacher could have been a model she was teaching whoa i was gonna say it's usually the opposite which like covid really made us realize how much students are hot no i feel like covid really made us realize how important like the nose and the mouth right yeah everybody's eyes are hot yeah everybody's got hot eyes mask fishing that's what people called it but i felt like every time i met someone with like a mask for the first time and then they took it off they immediately like dropped yeah yeah to me my teacher said that like when we when we came back
Starting point is 01:18:27 from not having to wear masks anymore he was like all of you guys just sit and like stare at me with your mouth open because we got used to like you could just do whatever you want under there yeah and now you do like didn't even have to remotely pretend you were looking interested okay the worst part about class taking classes is sometimes this subject is interesting but sometimes you're like i'm not really getting anything out of this i want to learn there are a lot of other things i want to learn about but i'm not going to do them in my free time everything class every day one student uh brings in something that they want to learn about and then you spend the whole class researching that thing and then like the last 10 minutes people will like give their findings so that you
Starting point is 01:19:09 could like learn about new things every day because i get i would i would be interested in a subject and then after like a couple weeks i'd be like i get it it's like show and tell class show and thank you show and tell class show and tell for college kids i kind of like that yeah you know what i mean you could be like i want to learn about andrew what do you want to learn about today uh pirates we would spend the whole day researching pirates how fun would that be next day willie what do you want to learn that was pain that was pan that was pandering sorry what do you want to learn about the first thing the french revolution and then we do that yeah and it's just round robin and then one kid would be like i want to learn about red robin red robin
Starting point is 01:19:45 we'd be like what makes that what makes that shit so damn tasty done how do you make the burger so damn big tell me your secrets we used to always ask about our teacher's divorce i love you guys oh man we used to always ask about our teacher's divorce because it would cut into class time so much talking about it and we just like learned nothing and then uh like finally by like the end of the year she was like no i'm on to you guys we're actually gonna learn today and we're like dude those were the best if you just got them sidetracked a little bit i think i never tell you about my i had the most interesting man ever teach us he was like a hot air balloon racer
Starting point is 01:20:29 what what kind of air balloon do you race what kind yeah what do you mean he's an air balloon racer hot air balloon racer okay sure but he what kind of air balloon like what model yeah i don't know what are you doing right now like he was a hot air balloon racer oh oh yes very nice very nice um and he would come in and just tell us these like awesome stories uh and we had a teacher we had two teachers that were married to each other yeah yeah what we have teachers that the husband cheated on his wife with the teacher and then they got married whoa the ike that like hot news i probably shouldn't i don't know it doesn't matter i don't know whatever he cheated on his wife he doesn't yeah there was like or that was like the rumor at least that they were both
Starting point is 01:21:15 teachers there while he was married to someone else and then they had an affair or something and he left his wife for her we had that too yeah when i was in middle school let's just say they had a lot of chemistry come on he was my chemistry teacher he was also a chemistry teacher for me yeah there were two teachers in my middle school that uh i guess were like secretly dating but like the other teachers knew but like they didn't want to tell the students and then one day he was backing out of her driveway and ran over her is that like a oh what no did you think i was like simpson oh no he ran over her cat and then one morning he backed over her cat i'm like oh
Starting point is 01:22:01 i want to hear about their private life out of her driveway and ran into her cat all right i'm a bad guy he was backing out of my driveway and he ran right into my cat it was awesome no he literally backed over her cat with his car and they broke up and because apparently she was like obsessed with this cat like the office that's like literally what happens at the office with angela and dwight yeah what happens if dwight kills her cat and how does he kill it i think he like doesn't give the meds or something or like yeah he was like that cat was on his way out yeah but uh there's a mercy killing they they like broke up and apparently i was never in one of her classes but apparently she was like a fucking menace for the rest of the year
Starting point is 01:22:56 because she was so mad about this that sucks i would love if i wish that was like a well-paying job i would love to be a high school teacher yeah that's i feel like that's your perception of adults when you grow up you're like oh every adult is just super immature and then you actually like meet the people that are like in education and college yeah and you're like oh it's just like the most immature people become high school teachers there are some really good ones but i will agree that they're they're kids that i was like you should not be a teacher my buddy liam is gonna be a teacher and he's gonna be a really good teacher nice what would you teach i would love to teach like government or history or you'd be a good ap gov teacher yeah i would have been
Starting point is 01:23:41 way better than mr murphy but all the history all the like guy history teachers like flirted with the girls dude mr hoffman used to put it was like well known and people like warn you like when you're going to his class first day he'd be like all right well i'm gonna put out the seating chart and he would just put all the hot girls right in the front and his he would be like well i want those taller people in the backs and the shorter people in front so i can see everyone which gave him like the pretense to put girls in the front and then he would just every time like there's one like smoke show seven foot girl though yeah except for monica yeah yeah my uh my history teacher won jeopardy actually whoa whoa isn't that crazy that is crazy mr clemens he was awesome
Starting point is 01:24:24 jeopardy's baby oh that's my pitch jeopardy for babies i i lost on jeopardy baby this is an mj letterman song no weird al yankovic uh all right should we do this guy rocks yeah yeah all right i am very very excited about this one i don't know i asked andrew if i'd done this yet just by showing him a screen grab of it and he said no but i think i may have done it but this is one of my favorite videos of all time pause this immediately and i mean it can give you one second to yeah you know who i got a follow from we should funny i think this would be a long shot or actually we already kind of talked to them about going on their podcast but i want them to come on ours now uh joe from the basement yard
Starting point is 01:25:15 oh yeah i got that too yes all you too yeah let's go okay are you bummed a little no that that makes it better because that means it's a playdate oh yeah that's true this is a guy go to the instagram yes local arsonist or local man takes down suspected arsonist so basically he goes in the woods and he finds this guy okay he's been setting shit on fire and he confronts him and maybe this is only funny to me but this i laughed so hard will you zoom in on this andrew yeah okay here we are start walking grab your stuff and start walking okay you about lit my place on fire go dude dude you better walk i don't know is that a knife i don't care what you got now i don't know what you got get the
Starting point is 01:26:14 away from me here he is now here he is now i'm getting busy yeah yeah somebody else did dude wait pause it for a second there were a handful of things in this that made me laugh really hard one you're holding a bag of fertilizer yeah you were dressed in army clothes are we gonna talk about his shoes wearing crazy like looks like fireproof shoes that you've already set on fire and he goes you you almost lit my place on fire and he goes somebody else did it was like like a nine-year-old no i didn't with his hand in the cookie jar somebody else did and then he pulls out a knife on this guy which the rational person would be like oh my god that guy's a knife i'm
Starting point is 01:27:07 gonna leave this guy alone he just goes there he is yeah what is that like did that guy have like a gun no and then he the video stops i'm assuming he just put his phone in his pocket and just immediately manhandle this guy how do you manhandle a guy with a knife that's kind of scary i think you're supposed to run away from a guy with the rule is run away from a guy with a knife run with run towards a guy with a gun but this guy i think disobeyed that i just like being on top of him yeah yeah there we go yeah there was a comment that made me laugh yeah if you pull out a knife and dude says here he is in a convoys you might as well be fighting batman yeah i'm getting busy i'm getting busy for the audio listeners i feel like it sounds
Starting point is 01:27:54 like porn because he's like yeah i'm going easy on you yeah i'm getting busy i'm getting busy all right what do you got mine's a guy who's auditioning to be on the savannah bananas okay this is gonna bump me out I just like the top comment yo it's me the banana you're in hello I am banana you're on the team he seems sweet
Starting point is 01:28:28 I know I didn't mean to make fun of him the dance move is just the funny part that's like a dance i would do like blacked out at the bar thinking thinking it looks awesome not if you did that it would be sick every time i see your moves are nuts you know that videos of me dance i went to a club on saturday a club like a legit club actually yeah here's the thing that here's what pisses me off about these little fucking la people everyone's too cool for school i was the only person dancing in there everyone was flat-footed he's like a like club flat-footed just like talking on their phones i was the only person dancing
Starting point is 01:29:10 talk there everyone's wrong on their phones they're talking or like on their phones everyone's like wait where i don't know why i picked picked the business meeting to be here it's so loud where was it it was in the it was uh we ho and it was like in the basement of a hotel so initially we went to like a hotel lobby and i was like this is whack there were like some there were some celebs there some people i recognized who i don't remember but i remember being like oh that's so and so was it off of uh sunset i think so i tried to get in there once and they charged me like 400 did you pay it uh no because they closed in like 15 minutes i think they just wanted us to leave i walked right in but that wasn't that wasn't because
Starting point is 01:29:57 there because of anything to do with me there just wasn't a lot we also tried to go in through like the side we didn't go through the lobby we went through the side as well so like i went into the hotel and i was like this isn't really my vibe went around the side of the building and went in there okay yeah i didn't go but i'm just i love just chatting with you guys all right should we do teach me something yeah teach me something okay you know how people are always like like 26 2015 2016 was like the best time ever yeah i agree i have evidence as to why why it actually may be the best year in history pokemon go you ready uh extreme poverty dropped below 10 globally for the first time in history child mortality rates
Starting point is 01:30:48 worldwide low record low life expectancy reached an all-time high ebola was declared under control polio was nearly eradicated uh there was like a climate agreement signed by 195 companies the un launched like sustainable stuff iran signed some good nuclear deal uh the u.s supreme court legalized same-sex same-sex marriage nationwide which seems late i thought that way earlier uh ireland became the first country to legalize gay marriage by popular vote uh smartphone usage went above 50 worldwide uh the apple watch came out smartphone usage going up 50 but is it good thing like i think like people in like impoverished areas had access to like the internet and like smartphones for the first time um uh unemployment dropped to
Starting point is 01:31:43 its lowest point since before 2008 uh and gas prices fell dramatically this list goes on forever i won my tennis tournament that year andrew won a tennis tournament uh i went to spain does it say that yeah wait it actually does say that instagram influencers and vine was out did you check upt like what was the best year ever and then it just happened to be 2015 wow wait why is that what is it i feel like everyone talks about how that was like the last good year then there's actually like science tobacco in 2016 like there's that guy that that sells air from he bagged air in 2016 he sells oh really i haven't seen that that's awesome i would pay for it i would i would oh yeah andrew do you guys want to get a bag tonight
Starting point is 01:32:29 this is the bag one podcast we just for wednesday's episode let's just all be like coked out i actually i actually think if we not that i do i swear to god i do not do cocaine if there was a video of us doing cocaine or even just talking after being on cocaine for two hours i think i would never want to do a podcast again all right well then it's just me and andrew i think all right welcome to the bag episode i think if i ever did coke i'd get like really into like the dow jones like his for you page bro yeah it's so weird that was like the weirdest insult of all time he was like kind of in the same way that yours is all about like stocks mine is about like cool music i didn't mean as an insult i thought i was trying to make a joke
Starting point is 01:33:16 like you're like like a sophisticated like you think i'm a sophisticated guy i was making a joke like like like i was trying to say it was like a compliment like you're like yes mine's all stocks and portfolios like when we were doing our when we were doing it wasn't a dig our uh when we were doing our like renegotiations for our contracts uh one of the people here told my lawyer she was like yeah bruce she's kind of the uh the capitalist of the bunch and it was like no he's just asked he's just like it hit the hit that was his response to like hey i would like to be paid fairly he's like he's just such a capitalist imagine you like open your for you page and It's like, here's the three monocles you need.
Starting point is 01:33:57 Yeah. These are the hottest, hottest bow ties of this era. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Three monocles? My For You page isn't that sophisticated. Here's the best monocles. I actually did buy a new bow tie. Mr. Peanut Style Guide.
Starting point is 01:34:10 Yeah. You bought what? I got a new bow tie the other day, but I don't want to talk about it. Oh, fun. Can you tell me something? I got a bow tie. Teach me something? Tell me, teach me something.
Starting point is 01:34:21 Tell me, teach me something. Biggest balloon ever. Size of the football field. what actually pull the biggest balloon ever besides the football field nasa did it and it's like a weather balloon 2018 wait what about the big 60 that's the one i was talking about 60 million cubic feet there's no specific widely known balloon no i think that was a ai dupe did you pick this because of the balloons on set today or Nope.
