Starting point is 00:00:40 the playroom the boys are on the road right now yeah we're in Nashville Tennessee Lauren is not going to be part of this episode because we couldn't figure out how to get it to work it's really complex we said by the way we set all this up ourselves and I think we did a really good job We did a fucking bang-up job. Let me tell you. I just want to point out how much neater my bed is than Will's. It's not because Will's messy. I just got here last night and haven't slept in it yet.
Starting point is 00:01:11 You got here today. Today. Wow. I got to come clean. I'm currently on a chat support. We can't do that. To get my flight changed. We'll figure it out later.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Okay. Just close it, honestly. I mean, he's like about, it's like one. All right. we can tough it out we've got such a fun little show
Starting point is 00:01:31 for you guys today we are doing sayings for more sayings that don't exist just beating a dead horse we're gonna milk all the juice
Starting point is 00:01:41 out of that then we have wizards that don't exist and then we're gonna as as always do
Starting point is 00:01:49 our business pitches I'm excited for wizards personally I think this is the most fun I've had doing anything in months will and i were um will and i were sitting in our room like for a half an hour in silence writing down wizard names and just and just giggling being like that one's funny um okay can i tell you i've been excited can i i've been waiting all week i've been telling yeah
Starting point is 00:02:16 i texted you on friday i was like you're not gonna believe this i just gotta run you through I had like a wild 24 hours on Friday. So I went camping in Joshua Tree National Park on Thursday. We all know what happens there. It's nothing but fun. So we had a lot of fun. Fully, pretty, to this day, I think there was a bear outside of my tent the entire night. And could hear it.
Starting point is 00:02:42 And just like, it was kind of like, I'm not going to get up and look. Yeah. There's nothing you can do even if he is there. I'm taking these off. Yeah. Anyway, so I barely slept. Barely slept. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:59 All right. We're back. It was also funny. I was with two buddies, and in the morning, we were all like, dude, I couldn't sleep at all because I thought there was a bear outside. But none of us- Were you guys in three separate tents? No, we were all in the same tent.
Starting point is 00:03:13 And no one decided to be like, hey, boys, is there a bear? Nope. We were all so scared of talking. Do you think... But that's not even what happened. Can I... Yeah, sorry. I got to barrel through.
Starting point is 00:03:25 So I was really tired, and I was driving home. It was like a three-and-a-half-hour drive back home. And didn't even cross my mind to check the gas. And middle of... I'm in the left lane, the HOV lane on... HOV lane? The high-occupancy vehicle. you know like the hov lane no you've never been on a highway with like a carpool lane
Starting point is 00:03:51 yeah yeah okay but it's called it says don't you need another person though it's just yeah there were three of us yeah oh i thought you meant like occupancy potential like if you had like a like a big ass car like that sounds like counterproductive i go you're sick sorry continue i'm fucking hijacking this story i'm in the carpool gate and run out of gas never had that before how did you know six lane highway i know because i i was you know accelerating and suddenly like it wasn't accelerating and i remembered that like when we left the campsite i was like oh i gotta make sure we stop for gas and then it was just like yeah i was like i had barely slept and i you'd barely slept and it was like a three-hour drive i was like i just want to like zone out and
Starting point is 00:04:37 just get home yeah what were you guys listening to if you don't mind me asking well the fucked part is that my passenger uh it was her car actually she put on freaking out on the interstate right when it happened just to like like oh like how fitting is this meanwhile i couldn't get over i ran out of gas so abruptly and was all the way in the left lane of a six lane highway that i ended up completely stalling out in the middle lane like dead stop in the middle lane what do you do uh i put my hazards on and i called 9-1-1 you called 9-1-1 you're supposed to do for the record i took flack from it from this girl whose car i was in and she she called the highway patrol and they said you need to call 9-1-1 immediately
Starting point is 00:05:20 because really i would have called like triple a i wouldn't even gotten the law enforcement involved oh you look at this look at the data on car accidents like stalling out in the middle highways for just getting railed from behind in a car in a car way yeah yeah remind me remind me to stall out in the middle lane i guess anyway so this is this is the first crazy thing that happened okay so i'm stalled out in the middle of freeway which i don't i think that's the first time i said freeway i've been in california for a month do you guys do you sorry i just i'm trying to paint myself a word picture are you guys in the car do you like leave the car and go off to the side you have to stay yeah i actually somehow like knew what to do okay you you if you're on
Starting point is 00:06:01 those you stay in the car because you'll get hit or someone will hit the car into you if you're standing outside i meant like get just get off to the side there's there are two lanes on either side so it was oh there's nothing you could do yeah you would have to run across the highway it was packed it was like it was insanely scary actually we sat in the car yeah that doesn't sound fun at all waiting for 911 guy shows up it's like a tow truck he pulls in front of us backs up lifts up us up on the tow truck and he comes in he's like just two of you and i was like oh no there's three we have one in the back seat he's like oh i can only take two i was like well you can't leave us here that's not an option and he goes what's the problem again i was like i just
Starting point is 00:06:39 ran out of gas and he was oh i got some gas just comes back to the gas thing pours it in my gas tank and drives he's like he's good yep drives away never got nice guy no like incident report he never like never got my information yeah i was so certain maybe he was just like a rogue like vigilante he wasn't it was the government oh it's his car said something but i was like i was like oh my god i'm gonna have to pay eight hundred thousand dollars yeah whatever to get the gas and it was totally fine and it took the whole thing took 15 minutes so it was like weirdly not a big deal but it was so scary and then that's not even the crazy part this is an awesome story okay i hope so because i feel like i'm hiding no no this is great so then i we go home we lay down
Starting point is 00:07:25 for a little and then we i me and my buddy were going to this concert at the greek theater yep and it was started at 7 30 which is the worst time to have to go to the greek theater in los angeles it took an hour and a half yeah so we had to go so we're in an hour and a half long uber i could see the moment the uber driver like saw where he was going he was going he was like oh fucking i kind of felt bad but it's like what can you do yeah so we're on the way to the the turnpike troubadours concert and the those guys can't be real they're what kind of music do they sing they sing like it's like i was a young troubadour yeah it's kind of like it's got like a lot of fiddle oh it's like oh okay red dirt country yeah they're red dirt country that's
Starting point is 00:08:12 that is a buzzword that i've been seeing lately what's the difference between red dirt country and blue grass country oh i don't know i don't red dirt no i feel like red dirt's more like i'm a gritty and i went to the market and i got the cow and i went to the home and i don't know and then it's not like it's not pop country so yeah i guess i'm trying to red dirt it does pay it paints a vivid picture i don't know anyway it sounds like the lawn beginning of the law and order a theme song down down all right continue sorry anyway so we're going the uber drivers were like stuck in standstill traffic on the freeway the same day as our earlier incident and then the guy pulls off the highway and i'm like i'm like what the hell like we're we're like worried
Starting point is 00:08:58 about missing the first few songs at this point he just pulls off the highway and pulls into a gas station and he's like i just i just need to get some water and i was like okay okay uh it was an hour and a half long ride i guess that's like the least i don't know it does seem like kind of like you got a job you have a job to do yeah it felt a little a little weird but i was like okay well then he immediately like in a way that was like you're not fooling anybody here like opens up his glove box he's like oh man i forgot my wallet oh i really wanted that water and i'm like oh fuck okay i'll get you a water just the price after patio or the fucking yeah i just want to get back on the road i don't care i'll buy you water yeah you should have just been like fucking
Starting point is 00:09:42 tough titties dude let's fucking i didn't it okay it wasn't that big of a deal at this point so i get on the water we're at the checkout line and i look away for a second and what are you doing oh you're getting water i look away for a second and he tries to pull a fast one on me he grabs a pack of extra gum and hands it to the cashier while i wasn't looking and i like turned and caught him in the act and he just looked at me and he's like didn't say anything this guy sounds like a little shyster so i bought him gum what was all right let me guess let me guess uh spearmint it was originally i was thinking red hot but then you told me it was
Starting point is 00:10:25 sick okay so um i thought that that was it basically that was the craziest thing though i thought that it was a crazy move to try to try to sneak a fast one yeah i mean driver made me buy him gum it's yeah i mean that's pretty strange that's he's not i'm just so numb to bad uber drivers now especially after like the talladega guy yeah but pulling over and getting your passenger to buy you this guy pulled over and smoked a cigarette on the highway and was splashing his water splashing water in his face was telling me i couldn't go to sleep in the back of the car what i didn't tell you this story i think i told us on the pot already have i not i don't think so driving to talladega um he picks me up in in like like it's like you know the airport's across
Starting point is 00:11:15 state lines it's like a two-hour drive to to talladega florida i don't know we landed like atlanta yeah and he picks me up and it's one of those things where he doesn't see how long the drive was until he gets there right so like they like they don't see what trip they're taking until they literally pick you up yeah and so he thinks he's doing like a five minute drive home from the airport and it's two hours to talladega and he's like fuck this sucks it's like two in the morning i'm like i don't know what to tell you like i just i have to go and he's like all right let's do it and we got on the road and i fall asleep in the back seat and he fucking taps me and is like um hey man it's super hard to it's super hard to stay awake when you're sleeping
Starting point is 00:12:00 back there and i was just like okay all right i'll try it like i'll try my best but in my head i was just like fuck you i want to i want to like your your job is to be awake driving and uh he's splashing water on his face while he's driving he's smoking a cigarette while he's driving he like pulls over to do like jumping jacks and like the guy was clearly like i was supposed to be his last five second ride yeah that's terrifying and he did a two hour one we get to talladega and he's like um we can't find the entrance and like there's no one really there like operating it because it's it's two in the morning to what to like the park that we're staying in rvs like in the infield of the like track and uh and so he just drops me off i walked across
Starting point is 00:12:50 like it felt like i was like on the bank which i but i wasn't like i just remember walking being like like of the racetrack and i was walking being like am i on like i'm somewhere that i'm not supposed to be right now but i don't think i was um okay should we do should we should we start with wizards should we just do it it's never been done before before pitches i'm so oh oh yeah yeah we could do it though fuck it screw it yeah it is our it is our podcast we can uh um these actually changed my flight during i saw that that was that was impressive all right so i have like 10 and i'm just gonna on the fly pick my best five all right i like it All right, these are wizards that don't exist.
Starting point is 00:13:43 My first one, I'm going to go with Krasky the Impish. He's an imp from the high hills of somewhere, and he's just very... I think Impish is like a little devil. He's like a little devilish. Is that what that means? it's like it's like he's like mischievous and he's not not up to any good yeah impish or admirable what is that oh that's like the office uh oh impish or admiral is that that's for dwight's uh
Starting point is 00:14:17 christmas yeah what's it called again i think that that character is a big influence on like on like when you say krengis and or like krung like that's it's from it's of the same yeah Of the same thing. Krung. Okay, I have Garlith of Hazard. There we go. Of Hazard? Like he's from Hazard?
Starting point is 00:14:41 Yeah. I love it. Or he was born out of a hazard. Whatever. He was born in Hazard. In a gulf. He was born in a gulf hazard. A sand bunker.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Garlith of Hazard is a knight of many skills and a wizard by night. oh okay oh nice so he's like yep i get it stuff on the battlefield that's yeah i mean that's probably the last guy i would want to see across me especially like a hand-to-hand combat you just see a guy with like like where's his where's his armor you like get get closer you're like where's his where's that guy's sword get get even closer like is that garlish the garlic because that garleth of hazard and he just fucking he hits you with a fucking chest repellent spell on your inside let's just leave you that would really imagine being in more and that's when you find out magic's real yeah um the other guy has it all right i got sigrid nobadir he um like we both had
Starting point is 00:15:49 very similar trains of thought i told you earlier i think that i thought that we there was a chance we had overlap which is which is impossible and but but um yeah sigrid um sigrid's more of like a classic wizard um floppy hat wide brim the widest brim you've ever seen and stars on it um he yeah he used to rock that he kind of gets mad if you bring that up it was it was a dark point in his in his wardrobe but i think what we should do we should do for this this might be kind of a crazy curve ball to throw in the middle of this draft we have to say like what what's what their go-to spell is okay uh yeah sigrid sigrid nobodeer write these down no no no no no sigrid nobodeer his go-to spell is uh it's like a healing spell so so people come to him and with horrible
Starting point is 00:16:44 ailments he he he's usually using magic just strictly for good okay that's good i also don't like this spell thing i think we can say it if you have one but you don't need to all right i've got rindon coulter the wet he's soaking wet yep all the time okay and he why that's his does he not have a spell for that to like dry off no that's like his only ability that's like his only spell that's the only oh that's funny so super inconvenient yeah he's he's like um he's really good in cases where you need a guy to be soaking wet like let's try and find one um you need an excuse for why you were late yep and you're like wait what's his name again uh grindon halter fell in the river
Starting point is 00:17:40 grindon halton fell in the room oh grindon calton whatever you're like so you show up with him and you're like clearly it was raining yeah why else would why else would be rinden called to be fucking drenched right now um i got i got cosmic nebula he's this is so ridiculous i love it's my favorite draft i've ever done he's um he's obviously a space wizard okay um duh and um back-to-back episodes talking about the cosmos but that's he does he does travel through them um yeah that's cosmic nebula i like that i have such warg okay what's up with him
Starting point is 00:18:32 um such work you what you got any background on him no okay that guy i got a canon mystery i got whimsy protol he's uh sounds like a middle-aged woman whimsy protol no he's um he's actually like a hobbit okay that also does magic i like that i feel like the hot like calling someone a hobbit is kind of messed up um like why do they want to be called that i don't know i've actually never seen or read the hobbit i've seen the beginning of the first one i get bored every single time but which is crazy because you think it's a hobbit movies uh i'm talking like lord of the rings but like um it's crazy because you'd think it'd be right up my alley i know well it's me too we love world building yeah it's like what we do it's like our whole thing all right what
Starting point is 00:19:28 you got uh i have garrett the little baby boy wizard garrett the little baby i love garrett as a name but yeah that's good he's um do you want to know about him yeah he's he's a little baby boy that can conjure spells does he have like control over him yet or they kind of just like coming out of him yeah it's like cute it's like the incredibles baby oh okay yep like he like is but he's but he he's killed the man like on accident yeah so people are really scared of him yeah and they're like fucking garrett you gotta you gotta just you gotta wait until you're of age yes to be but he like he can't because he's a little baby it's like a fart it just like comes out exactly yes um i got i got hubris clerics i like that he is a very cocky wizard
Starting point is 00:20:24 and he's kind of been excommunicated from the community just because um of his hubris politics yeah it's a very just it's a clicky it's a clicky group of people all right i've got althonius crunch uh althonius crunch is a local businessman with a magic secret okay what's the secret that he knows magic oh oh okay althonius crunch operates like a normal guy by day yep but at night he flies around on a broomstick so it's like like wizards of waverly place type beat like he owns a sandwich shop and uh not a sandwich shop it's business it's like oh he's just doing like clerical work he's like um like one of those jobs that like someone's dad has that you don't really understand yeah he's like a hedge fund manager
Starting point is 00:21:17 yeah something like that he has like he wears a tie okay and he has slicked back sick slicked back hair awesome should we do some sayings or should we do pitches and then sayings Let's do I mean we could just do sayings right Sure We'll just switch the order of this episode I don't know why but It feels good
Starting point is 00:21:43 It does feel good It does feel really good We're not bound by the structure of No we are not Alright well We now have more Sayings that don't exist Start us off
Starting point is 00:21:59 Alright I will start us off trying to find the note in my notes app all right i got you ever seen a racehorse with clean hooves it's uh i get where i get where it's coming from i like it it's like you got to get a little dirty to get the job done i also think this one might actually apply more literally to like shoes like i oh i hate when you get a new pair of shoes and people are like stepping around puddles it's like you ever seen a racehorse with clean hooves like we got to get our shoes a little dirty yeah i think um i will say i feel like i've seen many racehorses with because i think like they're they're kept they're like taken such good care
Starting point is 00:22:41 of after the race yeah after the race they're pretty dirty i got uh i got don't let one stain ruin your whole outfit i like that you know what i mean a lot yes so you know if there's a small problem it's not going to take don't let it take down your entire day yeah you're you're whatever yeah i think that's great thank you uh i got are we doing three or five three okay we're only doing three this time okay because a budgetary budget because of yeah budget i've got to leave leave the trophy on the shelf yep it's like sometimes there's nice there's settings where it's not maybe the best decision to celebrate an achievement or brag about it and you just need to leave the trophy on the shelf and
Starting point is 00:23:27 move on yep i love it can i tell you can i interject real quick yes you are currently actually sorry this this um this is very similar but we're uh we're in my room and i have a i have a uh barbados flag hung up my room blue stripe yellow stripe blue stripe and there's a trident in the middle but it looks like the greek letter psi got it and bailey was in my room and goes uh hey close the yearbook thinking i like had my fraternity flag up as like a grown man and it just ruined my day that's a great line did she come up with that i think so i don't know she said it to me and it and i had to be like i it's just a it's just a country i like i like that a lot which also is equally i don't know well all my buddies like like this the basement that we
Starting point is 00:24:17 hung out in when we were growing up as kids like had this barbados flag in it and then when we went to like our separate ways everyone got the same flag and it's kind of just like made its way that's kind of here i do think i need to take it down though it looks i think flags are in any kind of flag is a little bit is childish it's very college uh close the ear works good though yeah but leave the trophy on the shelf yeah maybe we leave the trophy on the shelf for this leave the yeah it's also like a good diss like if someone keeps bragging around their achievements big all right hey yeah leave the trophy on the show i kind of like it as a way to like call yeah it's yeah it's a puppy race yeah um i'm i'm gonna go with don't challenge an octopus to a thumb war
Starting point is 00:24:56 um some sometimes you need to admit that some things that you're in over your head and you and you you can't take on that much work you're not going to be an octopus in a thumb war yeah you're not going to do it so just just don't i like that a lot uh it's it's i like the idea of like how that would go down yeah how would you even go about communicating that yeah you'd have to be underwater yeah you're already at a disadvantage if you're underwater or if it's on land you're if it's on land he's it fucked you just gotta outlast him all right i got don't ask the teacher for homework uh like you know don't bring something up that's just going to create more work yeah you can get away with not doing it okay i like it i
Starting point is 00:25:47 think it i think it there was it it happened in my life and someone and i said it and it was really applicable but i can't remember what it was but it was it's a great one i think it's good it's um yeah it's that yep um what am i gonna finish with i'm gonna finish with uh piss with the pecker you're born with that's i like that a lot that one i like that a lot yeah that one iteration piss with the pecker you're born with that one um i that one actually i i heard my dad say it but he called it in he called me and he said for this is for the pod okay he said that he's never heard anyone say it but he said it i like that a lot and uh basically he was saying when he uh when he's like at work sometimes like new people will be like
Starting point is 00:26:39 why don't we like why are we putting these constraints on ourself and he'll just be like sometimes you gotta piss with the peck we're born with i think that's awesome yep i love the all right that was that was sayings that don't exist sayings for we are milking it we are really milking it i actually i were those good i feel like mine sucked there a little i feel like i I feel like they were good. Okay. It gets harder for some reason to come up with them once you're trying too hard. I mean, I think what we've started to notice is coming up with like 10 or 15 things that don't exist each week.
Starting point is 00:27:18 That's a lot of things. Well, it's really cocky to be like every week I can come up with 15 things that no one's ever thought of before. Yeah, you're right. All right, let's pitch each other, Willie. Well, no, let's read. Oh, oh. I knew something about the order felt weird. Yeah, well, we did it all completely backwards.
Starting point is 00:27:40 All right, do you want to? I have them. You have them? Yeah, I also want to. I screenshotted a couple myself. Let's do like five today. Fuck it. Fuck it.
Starting point is 00:27:50 I'm just going to read it. Lauren's out here. We are going to go fucking crazy. We're going to do some. honestly we should just do some crazy shit on this will was saying um will was saying that we should do i like looking at the camera like it's like a third person in the room um will was saying to me earlier he said we if we filmed a 24-hour podcast today we'd have enough clips for the whole year which is so funny um all right it's like my you know my idea about brushing your
Starting point is 00:28:20 teeth 14 times on sunday so you're good for the whole week that's awesome i've never heard you say that but that's so funny do you think there's anyone who's ever tried that i don't know it's kind of genius though um did you see it was like angus's tweet he's like a a bar of soap that's seven times as large so you only have to shower once a week that doesn't make any sense i mean not that not that brushing your teeth at least like the there's there's some yeah have i showed you that video of i don't want to get sidetracked but there's a video i found this guy who he's the first dude that i'm that i'm it's the first time in my life that i'm confident um what are you doing i was my
Starting point is 00:29:06 pants were red enough um it's the first time in my life i'm confident that the man who's gonna crack time travel is alive like he posted a video and like i don't understand anything he's talking about but i've never seen anyone closer there's never been anyone closer he's it's he doesn't show his face it's him pacing around his house i'll have lauren put a lauren can you put that lauren put it right here can you put it right and um and it's him pacing around his house talking about like hyper space-time continuums and something like that and like warping space-time and uh the whole time he's talking it's just him walking through his house and they're it's legitimately a sea of empty two liter mountain dews that's the guy that's the guy who's who's
Starting point is 00:29:54 looked god in the face it is prepared to salt prepared to spit in it dude i feel like no one what's mountain dews like you only drink it if that's like your drink yeah no no like i i was told when i was when i was like eight that mountain dew reduced sperm count i just never became a mountain dew guy i was worried about it there was also that kid that died from drinking too much of it it was like i thought if i had a code red like my heart was gonna explode what's oh that's like the yeah moundu code red is like you don't want to fuck around with that yeah all right i got pitches you ready this is my favorite dm i've gotten in a while okay just the way it's worded is just like i'm so excited business pitch here from martin parentheses mort montgomery
Starting point is 00:30:37 there's a great way to start it uh i call it the roller box this will be an invention that will be able to take one or more people from one place to another in a very small amount of time they are basically giant metal contraptions with rolling circles on the bottom there's some that are powered by something y'all will have to figure that one out and they will come in all shapes sizes and colors is this the car is he pitching us the car i think he's pitching us the car awesome uh keep it going no that's i mean then he just then he just uh says some other stuff he said i need y'all to take this and run appreciate you all keep doing what you're doing okay can we just shout out martin
Starting point is 00:31:22 shout out martin more montgomery here there are two schools of thought when breaking this down one one it's just a car no no no here's what he's saying he is pitching the car but this is which is so funny but he doesn't know it's powered and it comes in all shapes and colors i haven't i haven't figured out
Starting point is 00:31:42 how it's powered yet um martin that sounds like a really good idea i i think what he's thinking is it's not a car it's like on like rails the train fuck okay no no like like you know what i mean like it's like a it's like a it's like a small cart
Starting point is 00:32:02 that like would just it would be quicker to go from like here to maybe it's in the sky i don't know it's an it is an in it is insane that i want to i mean i love we gotta we gotta we gotta pick this guy's brain respond to that after this i will i i'm i need more from this guy i need i want to hear we need to hear from that next music i figure out what could power it we're like what gas it's i okay here's my thing i googled it and i still don't fully understand it why does gas like why does gas power our cars it it burns you tell me there's nothing else that burns i think it it it's the most energy like there's other things that burns but you would have to have so much of it like you can burn a little gas and it creates it releases a ton of
Starting point is 00:32:53 energy so it's like the most people like what does that mean it releases energy and then how does like our fucking car harness that doesn't make any sense heats something and that spins the pistons something spins the business something with the pistons we're all right all right wait i got another one yeah read me another one all right this is from ava brand shout out ava brand it's called strip freeze what's sorry say it again strip freeze yeah strip freeze what's worse than taking a scooter to the ankle burning your mouth i like the way that's like set up what's worse what's worse than taking a scooter to the ankle burning your mouth it makes you think you have something to do with scooters but yeah it has nothing to do with your taste buds get inflamed
Starting point is 00:33:40 your tongue feels gross you can't enjoy eating or drinking anything for the next three days but that all goes away with strip freeze strip freeze are listerine like mouth strips that you put on a burnt slash inflamed tongue or anywhere in your mouth and the blisters are frozen gone immediately no more risking your taste buds when testing your soup this winter season and of course they can easily fit in your purse or pockets just ask your friend hey i need a strip freeze you got me that's so great i think that would be awesome i hate myself because my brain immediately went somewhere dirty that they would be so fun to do something with let your brain you guys figure that one out i think i i am too impatient with like hot stuff
Starting point is 00:34:23 yep like i will try my coffee every 10 seconds and i always end up burning my mouth uh so this would be huge i uh yeah i have no i have no like like like that the part of my brain that should remember that hot things burn yeah i forget everything i get one pizza roll in front of me and i goes have you ever had chick arena no it's a it's like a progresso soup that's like chicken soup but it also is like chicken meatballs in it and i would come home from school and i would microwave it for like two minutes every every time every day after school i would torch my mouth and like i remember like talking to my mom about it and she was just like well like how long are you cooking for i don't know like two three minutes should you just bring it down to like a
Starting point is 00:35:09 minute it's like oh oh okay that makes makes way more read the package it didn't like microwaving it was like kind of frowned upon they're like a they're like a stovetop brand got it chikorita chikorita yeah chikorita no chikorita chikorita is a chikorita is a different thing that's you do not want it really like i got the chick i got the i got the dirty chick oh it's not actually i'm just saying like that doesn't that sound oh i thought that sound like horrible yeah yeah i was gonna say chick arena sounds like something like like a weird dad would call like a girl that's in high school yeah like your friend your chick arena you oh i was i thought you were saying like your sister's friend comes over yeah and he's like what are you like her arena's up to oh oh oh it's like
Starting point is 00:35:59 a it's like a general descriptor i thought you meant like her nickname was like chick arena um i guess not like gabby d you know what's funny is that we've had a history channel documentary on i noticed that and i just didn't know what to do about it distracting me i gotta i gotta focus all right i'm in on strip freeze though that's a good yeah i'm in on strip freeze as well all right here this one's from oscar wolf okay running with your backpack is one of the most humbling experiences no it's true this is true my idea is magnets that clip on your shirt clip your shirt to your backpack only when you're running would make backpack secure somehow it would know when you're running so it can clip in yeah i think that's great yeah um oh oh oh here comes featherstone
Starting point is 00:36:46 with the hammer no no i i think what's his name again oscar wolf okay oscar i think here's what i'm gathering about oscars he's probably like a professional so his shirt's tucked in like for me it wouldn't do anything because i don't ever have my shirt tucked in or my shirts are so baggy that it's like yeah if anything it would make it like it would just expose my like lowered maybe it locks into your back maybe you get like some stuff you get some things installed yeah that'd be cool maybe that'd be a little weird you could also pick people up by their backs then yeah holy shit i just like that last sentence that just came out was like not me that was like from another planet zoned out all right um more i'm in y'all it's like five today okay uh all right i got god lord
Starting point is 00:37:37 send them they're like invisible ink texts can you click on them though i can't yeah why did she do that unscribble it though first all right ready yep this is from c kane colin kane there we uh business idea twice baked twice all right let me start over twice baked can i just sip your water yeah why don't you just like just start from the top you got it all right business idea from colin k twice baked a restaurant for leftovers you bring your own leftover food and have the chef cook you a meal with those ingredients say you have leftover chicken and rice freshly made chicken fried rice coming right up leftover hot dog you will probably get a pretty fire corn dog from it it is cheaper than a normal restaurant because you only pay for the chef's
Starting point is 00:38:24 labor you are supplying most of the ingredients that's so great i like how i like the way that he phrased it where it was like you you just give them the you give the ingredients and the chef just like does whatever he wants you're like you're probably gonna get a pretty sick corn dog i get a corn dog you you don't know though bring corn though then like your bread like how do you think a corn dog's made i don't know what the outside part is it's it's bread right it's like yeah i think it's like it's like corn it's corn bread it's corn bread what do you want to do for dinner tonight just side note i don't know chinese maybe cool back to the podcast um colin i love that colin colin kane colin kane baby yeah i love it too i'm just saying
Starting point is 00:39:11 what i think it's cornbread that's the outside of the corn dog but i think he's on to something here i think i kind of like the idea too that maybe it's like not even necessarily for leftovers and you could like if you grow plants yeah or like you're down to your last few things in your kitchen you don't want to waste them but you have no idea fuck it let's see what you can do with with worcestershire sauce and worcestershire sauce and half a pound of oregano yeah you go you it could also be fun to go and like fuck with the chef yeah see what he can do like you just bring him like kids love it toothpaste and orange juice go to town all right i love let's do one more and then we'll get into our pitches i'm trying i'm trying
Starting point is 00:39:59 What the heck What does this mean Alright We're doing two more Is that okay Yep This one I can't This makes no sense
Starting point is 00:40:14 So I'm just gonna read out loud If it doesn't make sense Why are we Wouldn't we just pick She thinks it's funny I don't know I don't know Business idea
Starting point is 00:40:22 By the way We've gotten a ton of these Yeah you guys have been killing it If you don't get yours red That's We're just kind of overwhelmed with yeah i think we might start doing like five but yeah this is yeah business idea sleep sponge okay we all know why we all know we wait way too wait stop the funniest part about these is
Starting point is 00:40:43 is they is i do it as well but it's like i don't know where we were all conditioned to pitch businesses in the same way but it's like we've all done it you know what i mean like where does this like we didn't all go to the same school is it all shot is it all from shark tank why do we all pitch businesses the same way i think it's shark tank i think it's like a setup where you try to establish like common ground and then you i really i really hope that the camera was on you when i just did that what did you do i was just picking like a fucking crazy like front wedgie now you're done pitching your fredgie i'm gonna tell you about it dude i can't it's so annoying that it's the invisible ink thing i have to like scrub it like a horse okay
Starting point is 00:41:28 i gotta scrub it like a you dude whatever you whatever you make up a saying it always is horse in it where you're like you're like uh you're like i gotta get i'm i'm i'm out of here like a horse in a train station or something the other day yeah that was in the video all right business idea sleep sponge we all know we wait way too long to clean our bed sheets comforter pillowcases top sheet blankets etc but with sleep sponge the days of stripping the bed and doing annoying loads of laundry are over with just one tarp like device simply drape it over your bed pillows and all and then enjoy that clean sheet feeling in no time yeah what does that mean it's a sponge for your sheets i don't get is it clean them um yeah yeah yes it's basically like
Starting point is 00:42:19 it just like it pulls all the dirt and grime and come out of your i don't know how do your sheets dirt and grime and come yeah no i hear you kind of wish i didn't go for that third ingredient i couldn't come i couldn't come up with that i couldn't come up with a good one um yeah damn we're kind of all over the place today i know i feel we've had a weird week yeah and it feels weird not being in our i know normal place all right should we pitch each other wait i have one more that we have to read okay this is from julia mentor oh okay if you guys aren't familiar she's a legend and she um she made uh book covers for us a while ago that were book unprompted by the way yeah very lovely lady i've been keeping up with her on instagram she's we actually we dm
Starting point is 00:43:10 like we talk probably once a week really yeah that's awesome yeah she's the man lovely lady new invention wrongful termination i've been mad at someone not like someone that all of your friends like now you can use the wrongful termination app or wrote that's cool uh to suddenly make all of your friends also not like them or want them around you don't need a reason why or a justification the app automatically makes your friends rethink all their conversations they've had with said villain and flavor them badly and sabotages all future texts with them what happened to that random girl from your friend's office oh i wrote him out i okay i love it yeah i'm fucking terrified of it let me tell you like that would be so
Starting point is 00:43:55 awful to have that happen to you dude if you got wrote it i know you just do you have to just go and make all new i guess like your friends wouldn't be doing it to you can you do it to like one of your boys like if you like got pissed at one of your friends yeah With him Is that just like Game over I guess Maybe it's only for like
Starting point is 00:44:15 Fringe people Yeah I hate that I used that Fringe term But I didn't You know fringe guy I like literally didn't know What else to call
Starting point is 00:44:22 Dude can I just say Fringe guy is so insane Dude what if fringe guy Oh I thought I unplugged My microphone Will and I Will and I one time
Starting point is 00:44:31 Were filming this video For a I don't know what We were filming a video For like a band Like a Like a very that you've heard of them a very famous musical artist for some reason their team wanted us to do
Starting point is 00:44:44 well they didn't they want originally they wanted yeah they wanted angus to play the play like fringe guy um on it and like he obviously didn't want to do it and in the script was written what if what if fringe guy got the girl yeah that was a real line and we said it oh yeah i don't know i think we did say all right there um all right can i actually i i'm gonna do one more is this am i getting carried away i mean you're going crazy but i love it okay you're a fucking madman i feel like we've done like seven i know but there's so many okay this one i told you about already but it was some it was in my personal dms and i felt like it okay i don't remember it was blackout back out oh yes this is awesome uh it's an anyway it's basically i'll just
Starting point is 00:45:36 describe it because he used a lot of words but i'll say who it was too it was max chartier or chartier maybe yeah and uh the idea is that it's like it's like a tinder like app for when you're hungover and you regret things you did last night it presents every like decision that you made the night before and you swipe right or left and if you swipe left it is completely erased from it says uh if you swipe left erased from history if you swipe left you remove that event from historically ever occurring um let me ask you a question will yeah what's worse doing it and not remembering or like remembering and being able to erase it because like i feel like the worst part is like not that you're worried about other people knowing it's like kind of like you know
Starting point is 00:46:24 like if i don't know there's a lot of stuff that i've done that's probably like so spooky but like i don't know about it so like to me it never happened that's true although i feel like as long as no one else knew then i'd be like okay yeah but it's like an insight into your into like the the the lowest of your lows like they're like to me in my head i'm a fairly good person yeah but i think like stuff happens when you're drunk where you're just like oh am i like a bad guy not a bad guy but like am i like a spooky human i feel the same way i feel the same way so not knowing might be better honestly yeah i guess you're right because you wouldn't well yeah i mean that's what the haters will say when that's what the haters will say
Starting point is 00:47:07 yeah that was the last one all right let's pitch each other yep you want to start us off willie yes i do i want to start us off i do i want to start us off all right first one i got we've got a pita chip silencer it is a device that you wear in your mouth and it makes it so when you chew pita chips or any other similarly crunchy snacks it doesn't make such a loud cry it's completely silent because i get really embarrassed when i eat pita chips in public why they're like if anyone else is imagine if i was eating right now yeah if you read them right now it'd be horrible yeah i also yeah you're right if people are sleeping do you ever try and like like
Starting point is 00:47:55 like go like slowly like yeah it's like make your way through it like like over like the span of five seconds like you suck on long enough so it's soggy oh i don't know i don't like that lauren clip clip that out of con clip clip just that sentence out of context and send it to me please don't no no um no no everyone's gonna think i everyone's gonna think i i said that um or am i um you doing okay dude no i feel i feel weird we had a weird we've had a weird couple i've been dude i haven't been home in almost three weeks i think yeah that's brutal insane um i'm gonna go with uh it's a booth at like a restaurant but it it uh can open up in the middle at the press of a button so when one person wants to get out the fucking whole
Starting point is 00:48:47 table doesn't have to get up wait how does it open up in the middle it just like splits down the middle and they're like it's on like tracks okay okay i see so if you're all the way in you're all the way and you can like you can like press it and it'll slide and you like get out what if you're like one guy down from that uh it just kind of knows where you are okay it can open it has it has four different slots i like that a lot yep that is good uh we were at this we were at this restaurant um and it was one of those booths that fit three guys aside okay which i think is too much i think booths should be two people per side i agree and uh and it was just like there was no waiter so you every time you wanted a beer you had to walk up to the bar and get it and it was
Starting point is 00:49:32 i probably sat down for a collective 45 seconds the entire day because one person out of the three of us wanted to get over the whole day we were there for probably four hours wow yeah yeah that's brutal all right what do you got all right i got uh wow these i feel like they're getting worse we've it's not an off week but but no no we're good there's some stuff going on we're good i got pre-dipped chicken nuggets because when you get chicken nuggets at the drive-thru and you're driving it's really annoying to try to open the dip and dip them so it's like oh it's like ketchup or barbecue whatever and it's just like it's like solid are you inventing are you inventing the tossed
Starting point is 00:50:21 chicken tender? Does that exist? It's just like you get your tenders tossed in sauce. Oh, I didn't even think of that. Oh, man. Did I just pitch it? I was picturing like coating more. That's like exactly
Starting point is 00:50:38 what that is. Hey, maybe yours is like it's only on half of it, so your finger you can still grab it with your fingers. Yeah. What? Oh, Will, what? I'm sorry. I shouldn't have burst your bubble like that. No, you're right. I don't know what I was thinking.
Starting point is 00:50:51 What if it's like in the – I feel like you can't get that at McDonald's. You can't. Maybe I'm just pitching that McDonald's lets you do that. What about – Here, let's try and make this into something that doesn't exist yet. It's the box that carries the nuggets has built-in open sauce things. That I kind of like.
Starting point is 00:51:15 Yeah. Yeah. All right. All right. What do we got? i got a i got bluetooth dog leash that's good that is awesome this is bits it's i haven't i haven't like figured it out it's kind of like i feel like it's similar technology to the lightsaber like similar science things this was bailey's idea by the way shout out
Starting point is 00:51:42 shout out bailey b-dog and b-dog b-dog and you haven't yeah you have in my car once oh yeah i did we were pretty drunk i wasn't driving for the record the way i phrased that made it made it seem like i was drunk driving which i do not do um and yeah so basically it's the the reason this came about is it seems like whatever side you want to walk your dog on they want to be on the other that is true and so the leaf the leash is always behind you yeah and then also you gotta switch hands a bunch you gotta switch hands a bunch but also like i you know what it does that thing where it gets under one of their legs and that leash is like in the middle of their shit it's like rubbing on their ass and everything and you're like i don't want to stop every five
Starting point is 00:52:28 seconds to like fix this for you but it looks really uncomfortable it's more for them than it is for me i think that makes sense yeah but it's also for you too it's i like it a lot so it's just It's, like, invisible, though. It's invisible and it's transparent. Yeah. Or not, like, not transparent. It's, like, a... It doesn't exist.
Starting point is 00:52:47 Yeah, it's... It's not on the elemental chart. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I got the grocery button. The grocery button. It's, like, it's right next to the garage door button on your car. Yep. And it's, like, when you're pulling up with groceries, you hit it, and it opens the front
Starting point is 00:53:03 door and the front... that's awesome that's also feasible you could make that yeah I guess oh yeah we could make that also shout out
Starting point is 00:53:13 to our buddy Seth I know we both just thought about that at the same time I know this guy Seth this is so fucked have we told him yet
Starting point is 00:53:21 yeah I DM'd him actually I think I need to reply back because I think he replied to us probably the worst thing that's ever happened ever
Starting point is 00:53:31 we feel pretty bad I feel Seth can't I was out of town, by the way. So was I. We were together in Madison. Yeah, but it got there on Friday, and we could have told Lauren, but we just didn't know it was there. I didn't realize we had the tracking info until Monday.
Starting point is 00:53:46 Yeah. Basically, this guy, Seth Kantz, the absolute man, he built prototypes of the Salsa Migo and SharePods from episode one. and he made them and he mailed them to us and they got delivered to our office and somebody swiped them off the street while we were at Zahra. Someone's going to open those up.
Starting point is 00:54:08 Yeah, there's a homeless guy in bed. I got to give a shout out to Seth for taking it like a champ. He goes, oh, that's tough, but no worries. Shit happens. It's very funny to think about, though. Somebody got home after stealing
Starting point is 00:54:20 what they think is a random Amazon package and it's just an empty jar of salsa and a science project looking set of headphones, which is hysterical. i'm i am like it was it was one of those phone calls where if you saw the way i looked it was probably like similar to when george bush's aid like tells him that like lauren that the board train center got hit lauren called me and it was like immediate panic in my hotel room and also tried to figure out how to break the news to our boy seth because he worked really
Starting point is 00:54:50 hard on those it looked like yeah i feel bad i feel really bad yeah i said we would send him some like merch yeah definitely not we don't have merch not play date merch but it's like said he'd still be down to make more which is so nice yeah we just need this we know what we should do we should just have him call later i think yeah give him a ring actually i'm calling him on instagram on the playdate account or on your account on the playdate account he's gonna be like where's the playdate pod
Starting point is 00:55:29 he's gonna be like what the heck what the heck my third favorite play what the heck he's not answering alright that was a blast our first ever non our first ever mobile episode mobile app
