Starting point is 00:00:00 Calculating route to avoid seeing poverty. Turn left to bypass the unhoused youth sleeping on the street. Then keep right to skip by the lines of people waiting for food. Steer clear of the crowded shelter turning people away. Then take the next exit. Let's stop looking away and get in the way of rising poverty. Your donations help the United Way fight poverty in thousands of ways, like providing food, shelter, and crisis prevention.
Starting point is 00:00:26 Donate today at UnitedWayGT.org. What does a sunny getaway with Air Canada sound like? Sunny Jamaica moves to its own rhythm. Rio comes alive long after the sun goes down. Philippines slows everything down. And just when you think you've heard it all, there's sunny Lima. However you imagine your sunny escape, Air Canada can take you there. Book hot fares and vacation packages today.
Starting point is 00:00:58 Nice travels. As always, Played It is brought to you by Triple, the original high seltzer, redefining the party landscape. You hear Jules coming back? Yeah. Is that real? Like, the flavored pods are back.
Starting point is 00:01:17 Oh, really? On July 27th, which seems like... Day before my parents' anniversary. Day before my birthday. Dude, you're going to be... We've talked about this. What I meant. Wait, your anniversary?
Starting point is 00:01:28 Day before my birthday. Her birthday is my parents' anniversary. Oh, nice. Yeah, you're going to be at your parents' anniversary jaded out of your fucking gore, dude. I'm going to be juping. Juping and pooping. Lauren, I was telling Will this yesterday,
Starting point is 00:01:42 but we were... I'm in the airport and... Don't tell a funny story. This is... We're going. This is perfect for the podcast. We're literally going. We're literally recording a podcast right now.
Starting point is 00:01:51 Why does this always happen? Wait, we're recording? Did you clap? Yes. Oh, shit. I thought you thought we were just hanging out in this room. I guess we are. I thought we were just hanging out in this room, and I was like, this is such a funny story.
Starting point is 00:02:02 No, we're going. Okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Okay. So, welcome to Playdate. Playdate episode 41, Dirk Nowitzki episode. Let's get into my killer story. Okay, let's jump right in.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Also, shout out to whatever guy was like, if it's not the Dirk Nowitzki episode next week, I'm going to lose my fucking marbles. Yeah. um okay so i'm it's not a plated episode if we don't start with an airport story i'm at i'm at my gate there's a guy like a very well-dressed like hip 60 year old man across from him uh i sat down we did kind of like the whatever like is it cool if i you know whatever doc rivers starts walking down doc rivers starts walking down like super famous basketball like The most famous, in my opinion, probably coach of our generation.
Starting point is 00:02:52 Of our generation. He coached the Celtics when they won. Fun fact, belongs to my cousin's country club. My cousin's golf club say Doc Rivers on them because they were really fast-growing kids. And my aunt had to keep buying them new sets, and Doc Rivers got a new set and gave his irons to my cousin, so they still say Doc Rivers on them.
Starting point is 00:03:12 That's killer. Semantics. Wait, I just want to see what he looks like. Yeah. Is he currently the coach of the Clippers? Of the Bucs? Bucs. did the celtics win the whatever we're up to oh so doc rivers is walking down the airport
Starting point is 00:03:25 stops at the guy who's sitting across from me and tells that guy that he's a big fan of his work and then so i look at the guy because i'm like that's fucking doc rivers but i don't know who this guy is doc rivers who i'm a big fan of is a big fan of the guy across from me and it's this weird fucking paradox that guy's probably a fan of you that guy's probably a playmate and so i looked at that guy and uh and then like the girl behind him and i was like was that doc rivers and then the guy who doc rivers recognized looked at me gave me a look of like oh you know fucking or this is what i took away from it but it was like he felt frustrated in my opinion that that i knew who doc was but i didn't know who he was and he grabbed his things and he left and i
Starting point is 00:04:13 didn't see him again you don't know who like no clue i texted will i was like and i only got two minutes away too i miss i love your work i wonder if he's in like film or like something like but what did he what was his vibe he was wearing like cool green cargo pants he had like blue airpod backs on had a hat on in hindsight he was clearly a famous looking guy like he had like kind of this look glasses like down like this yeah sunglasses hat and uh i might keep that on It's kind of a good vibe. And never figured out who it was. That's, yeah, I want to know so badly.
Starting point is 00:04:50 You were texting me. He was like, are you at the gate? I was like, I'm two minutes away. He was like, he texted me like, a guy, Doc Rivers just came up and said he's a fan of the guy next to me. And I just started booking it. I was like, I got to see this guy. I got to figure out who Doc Rivers is a fan of.
Starting point is 00:05:02 Yeah. Yeah. That's interesting. I feel like it was probably not a, I feel like the guy's reaction to you doing that probably wasn't like oh he knew doc but not me it was probably like oh fuck the jigs up yeah like my cover's blown my cover's blown because doc rivers i also said it way loud because like i obviously wasn't expecting doc rivers to show up so i was like was that was that doc rivers i think i probably why weren't you expecting doc rivers to show up it's the airport like literally
Starting point is 00:05:28 the last like probably the last guy i was expecting to see that is a funny one too because it's like i don't know what he's a fan of like i don't know what no i know almost nothing about what doc it's probably not a basketball related person because no i mean maybe he would know him personally he'd be like hey what's up they did know like i because i had my headphones playing i only caught the big fan of your work thing but it looked like they had already kind of had a rapport somehow because doc stopped and the guy was also like like it was a mutual thing he knew who doc rivers it was like clearly two celebrities yeah having an interaction is that that's must be sick to be famous enough where it's like other famous people will know who you are yeah i
Starting point is 00:06:12 guess doc rivers is a bad example but like yeah that is a funny one yeah but yeah if you were super famous you're now kind of buddies with every other super famous person you have just because we are in the same world yeah yeah that is that is an all-time story i really wish we not okay because it'd be such a good story too if we knew who the guy was yeah i bet it was better than it's mysterious i'm like it might just be a celebrity that like all of you guys would be like how did you not that's what i was hoping that i was going to show up and be like yeah sitting next to fucking like like i'm trying to think who it would be like i don't even know that many famous old guys robert downey jr how old was how old was he i would say 55 to 70 because i guess you can't
Starting point is 00:06:57 really like when they once they have white hair but he was like good looking you think it was like Clooney what if it was like but keep in mind he's also Jon Hamm older than Jon Hamm what's funny is like he's famous enough for Doc Rivers to see him but he's not famous enough to be flying like private and he's alone at the airport he was kicking it yeah yeah he's he's he's not famous enough to not kick it anymore yeah because like weird he wasn't in a different area he was just at the normal gate and so it's like how like i also feel like some celebrities just want to fly normal like they don't yeah i think so because of like the environment you think that they think it's like fun it's like when michael jackson like cosplays like the grocery store did he do that i
Starting point is 00:07:48 don't know you didn't hear about this like had a grocery store and you would just they were just like rented out so that he could like go and shop and he'd be like i'm a little guy wait michael jackson you guys haven't heard about this no i don't want to pull it up but yeah it's just it's exactly what i'm describing that was good um what was your airport story you were like i told you that and you were like oh i have a killer one too but i'm just gonna tell you tomorrow yeah yeah well it kind of cracked me up it's not it's definitely not in the same ballpark as that but i was going through tsa i i have pre-check there i go bragging again i get through like the line i show my id whatever uh they also now they take a picture of your face every time you know you can
Starting point is 00:08:29 say no really the guy in front of me did it they were like all right and time for the picture and he was like nope and they were like okay okay i'm gonna try that next time no i think he phrased it differently but he was like i don't want it's like no photo it was the same guy yeah anyway the uh i go through and then we get up to the part where it's like there's like you know the ones where it's like you're not going through in a line but there's like three stations that you so you're there with like two other people next to you wait like that most airports are like that i think oh where the tray comes out from under yeah yeah yeah like it's not like one at a time it's like three at a time kind of so we're like standing there and it's the guy's like all right take
Starting point is 00:09:05 your laptops out like laptops gotta come out and like that's kind of the whole point of pre-check is that yeah you don't have to take your laptops out or your shoes off yeah so like laptops out and so all three of us like freeze and we're all like laptops out and the lady next to me is like he's like yeah laptop's out and he's like isn't this pre-check are we yeah we really have to take our lap i'm sorry i thought this was fucking america yeah and he just goes he goes i don't know what and he's like he's like you guys are the first ones that have ever called me on that yeah it's pre-check i don't think we have to take our laptops out and he's like i listen i don't know so we all just look at each other like all right we're all putting our laptops through and
Starting point is 00:09:44 so we all just put our laptops there and then we watch him like walk over to another guy and he's like what's what's the deal with pre-check like i was like yeah they don't have to take their laptops out just like how did he get that how did he make it that far he had no idea where he was i ended up in the you know in in logan not to make this like fucking airport talk central but like that's kind of what your podcast is you know you know that's why people listen you know when you're at look yeah it's like it's like guys who listen to flight simulator podcast will also like play to it yeah um they're like yeah it's great if you want to just skip around like the drafts and stuff they mostly only talk about it
Starting point is 00:10:19 it's mostly airports but at Logan there's like you can just end up in the pre-check thing even if you went through the regular one it'll split you off into like five fucking lanes and the TSA agents that are so mad all the time so like if you're not filling a space
Starting point is 00:10:35 they'll be like no all the way down and I ended up in the pre-check thing and I thought I was like this is this I might be I might be an enemy of the state now ended up um oh my god you know who i'm really into now as of like this morning that sabrina carpenter oh yeah she came out with this new song called please please please and i listened to it 11 times
Starting point is 00:10:59 before i had to work for that did you watch the music video yeah it's what got me hooked yeah she hot in it yeah but barry keegan's like way hot like like i checked the comments because i was like i was kind of one of those guys that was like he's obviously a handsome guy but i didn't get it well not obviously not a lot of people would but like he's what yeah yeah and all the comments were in agreement being like oh i get why she like he was like hot as balls in this one yeah i'm gonna check it out um but basically for sabrina carp and i've been kind of doing the same thing but with chapel rome lately can you explain that to me so cool she's so cool she knew her old she's new she like put i thought it was you know i thought it was like a club i was obsessed with
Starting point is 00:11:43 like senior year of college wait what that album came out 20 i thought she was like from the 80s am i insane wait yeah pink pony club was out yeah i like was obsessed with that song senior year and then i forgot what have you done my pink pony girl yeah she she i read this briefly so i might be mistaken but i'm pretty sure she came out with that song and then her label or whoever she was working with dropped her because it didn't do well enough got it and it was like independent i and then once she had her album she put that on it yeah because that that's on the album rise and fall of the midwest princess which came out last year oh i didn't know this is all new yeah there's all stuff i'm learning like this week i've just been seeing these videos of her
Starting point is 00:12:26 like do you see the video of her gov ball yeah it would have there was like a fucking million there was like actually a million because isn't she like going back to college she was like this is the last thing i'm doing and then i'm going back to college what that's the tiktok i saw and And they showed the thing. It looked like when Oasis played Aston Martin. I didn't know about that. That feels crazy. I might have just made that up.
Starting point is 00:12:49 I read it, but I don't. I thought that, because the song was like, maybe it's a king bed, whatever. I thought that was from the 90s. No. Baby. This is changing my. But she's kind of bringing that sound back. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:06 She's killer. What's her deal? Doesn't she have a shtick? uh she's like very like kind of like lady gaga-esque with like crazy outfits yeah like do you ever see that video of a lady and um fuck who's the old guy she sings with he's like a legend bradley cooper they're like andre baccelli no like he's like he's like 90 he's like a jazz like legend lady gaga yeah and uh tony tony you know what i'm talking about he has like he has like he has like dementia now tony bennett tony bennett oh that's right tony bennett like i don't
Starting point is 00:13:40 know if he has alzheimer's or dementia or something but like doesn't really know where he is but for some reason can still perform like when he's out there he like he's like okay i know i'm i know i'm a killer guy whatever and so he goes out and does that and then at one point she comes out and he goes lady gaga and apparently he's never done that and she was like i had to keep it together because like her friend that's awesome who had forgotten who she was
Starting point is 00:14:03 remembered her but she's like we have a show to do so she couldn't like sit in that moment they just had to like move on oh so normally like
Starting point is 00:14:11 normally he has no fuck all he knows is that like people love watching what he does that'd be kind of fun oh that's cute
Starting point is 00:14:18 yeah it would be funny to just be like you're just like I don't know where the fuck I am but everyone's loving this everyone's fucking that's kind of how
Starting point is 00:14:27 I feel anytime we like increase viewership on this podcast yeah i don't know what the fuck's going on but um someone's listening this podcast is brought to you by triple triple is the original high seltzer with three milligrams of thc and just 15 to 20 calories triple offers a social buzz similar to that of your favorite hard seltzer light on calories high on life it's all natural gluten-free and again just 15 to 20 calories i actually have some triple with me right now um i'm still a big fan of the lime but the grapefruit
Starting point is 00:14:57 has been growing on me. I had a few, you know, every night this weekend. And the great news is you wake up, no hangover, 0% hangover, actually 100% social. And I like to drink a few, go on a walk. I drank a few and then went to brunch the other day. That was pretty lovely. So all around just a pretty fantastic experience. Starting point is 00:16:01 i was in wrigley and yeah i was in wrigley and then i went to the lake yesterday it felt really good to be back but i i don't know my friends kept being like you should move back i'm like i don't know the lake feels weird there because it's like in the correct me if i'm wrong the photo i saw of you it looked like you're like still in the city yeah it's like on the yeah yeah yeah there's that's is it clean the lake is lake michigan's really nice so big like it's like an ocean it might as well be an ocean i could dump gasoline in there for a day and it would just not even make a difference yeah i mean well go try it have you seen that have you seen the guy who like keeps drinking out of lake whatever like tahoe and he's like day 100 of like drinking out
Starting point is 00:16:44 of lake tahoe and like telling you a fact and other people are like you like you can do that but like there's like so many dead bodies in like in like tahoe why dead bodies i don't know i don't know there what was that ship uh what was that like it was in one of the in lake erie the edmund fitzgerald yeah i think that was like here or like superior what's the song about the wreck of the edmund so funny you would think it was a ship from the fucking 14th century yeah yeah the wreck of yeah yeah so the edmund fitzgerald went down like i think it was it was what there was like but it's what's shocking to me is that this lake is big enough that there's like storms in the lake yeah the great lakes are huge i didn't know that yeah what lake was it
Starting point is 00:17:32 lake superior i think lake superior yeah um do you guys ever look into lake by call there's like a lady on tiktok i thought that was gonna be like a candace thing oh i don't know why oh yeah yeah bike all my nuts yeah yeah bike bike all over town to get on these nuts calculating route to avoid seeing poverty turn left to bypass the unhoused youth sleeping on the street then keep right to skip by the lines of people waiting for food steer clear of the crowded shelter turning people away then take the next exit let's stop looking away and get in the way of rising poverty your donations help the united way fight poverty in thousands of ways like providing food shelter and crisis prevention
Starting point is 00:18:19 donate today at unitedwaygt.org bike all over my nuts guy who like gets him guy gets himself with like exposes that he's into weird things That was a weird noise Like bike all over my nuts We golfed on Saturday Yeah we had a killer day We played 12 holes
Starting point is 00:18:45 It was pretty fun I actually kept up I wasn't like as bad as I thought Yeah we won Will and I were a team We won 45 bones Yeah we were a team We won 45 bones
Starting point is 00:18:53 As he mentioned I like when you do that It feels like It feels like a literal brother Yeah we were a team We made it one in 45 months. Yeah, we biked all the way to Cleveland for our nuts. Yeah, we were in the city so nice they named it twice all weekend.
Starting point is 00:19:14 What, New York, New York? Yeah. The other name's Manhattan. What other cities do that? Nothing. There's got to be one. There's got to be one. Kansas City, Kansas.
Starting point is 00:19:26 That's Missouri. It's half Kansas, though. There is a Kansas City, Kansas, too. Oh. Yeah, the Twin Cities. Nope. Nope. He was close
Starting point is 00:19:35 Do you guys want to just get into some fucking pitches Or do you guys want to keep rapping I wrote something down though on my phone I know but I do think we should start doing the roadmap A little earlier just so people like That was a good way to set up the app I kind of like that we've established this weird thing Where the roadmap
Starting point is 00:19:53 We get all our thoughts out And the roadmap's like Let's fucking buckle down here I think I wrote something down though Sounds awesome this is a really old note but i missed a crime last night i had an uber driver named fares okay sorry go no no wait i have to figure out which one of those is more important that's it this is from like year i think i might have mentioned this on like tell tell what was the split notes
Starting point is 00:20:16 app you sent me yesterday i was looking so i'm doing i'm make i'm making some music this week recording some music potentially um and i was looking through all my old notes i was like i just want to like find all the lyrics i've written over the years and just like have them all in one place for when we're in the studio and shit and uh i was going like three years ago i found this notes app and it just said uh wait let me pull it i gotta read it verbatim but it was it was good you're gonna love this it just said what if the only reason rosa parks didn't get up is she had a boner like like she accidentally became the face of the civil rights movement yeah well get up you can't sit here you're like i'm moving i'm not moving someone made a sketch about uh about that
Starting point is 00:21:06 happening to colin kaepernick like i think jimmy tatro did a colin kaepernick thing where it was like like he had shit he either had a boner or he shit his pants and that's why he didn't want to stand up for the national anthem and then and then he became this like martyr that's funny yeah that's kind of the exact it's almost the exact you just picked it you picked a funnier person yeah and it's also because it's why here's my question here's my question when you were in high school or like middle school why was math the only class you got boners in no i got them in everything dude geography science did you ever did you ever get like called up to the board and you had a boner you couldn't really see mine yours got smaller yeah i got i got those weird ones
Starting point is 00:21:55 mine became way bigger but it was just as soft yeah i don't know i don't think i ever really had like i was like like that like classic yeah there was a kid uh there was a kid i don't i'm not gonna not gonna call him out but he got caught uh jacking it in health class in class in health class in the back and had to transfer to uh like a neighboring public school and um was the goalie for like said high school who we played like you know once or twice a year yeah and just like the the thing because the goalie's already the most chirped man on the ice from like the student section but because he's just there and there's nowhere he can go right yeah but if you're the guy who got caught jacking
Starting point is 00:22:47 it and that's why you had to transfer to the school you're currently at like i would just give up hockey wait where sorry i feel like where was he jacking it in the back of health class oh what that's he's like a sex offender yeah yeah that was like the i was like yeah that was like the whole sorry i was trying to find this note yeah yeah no no like like an insane yeah i mean granted was like 14 not better at all but i'm saying it wasn't it wasn't like he was like be weird a senior yeah who's like semi fully developed like still a child yeah um there was a kid must have been i mean yeah it's just like how do you never been that horny no once and i've seen you close yeah i joined the mile high club by myself no i'm joking i'm funny i don't know
Starting point is 00:23:37 if he's joking i'm joking i'm joking i'm joking jerk off on the airplane no but i have heard of guys that have no that's gross i uh i don't even really poop on airplanes i pooped i took a mean one last night oh on our flight on our flight back yeah we're fine it's fine i always think every time i'm in the bathroom on an airplane i think that's when we're gonna crash and i'm just gonna get like thrown around in there like that would be this better oh yeah that would be the spot every time i go to the bathroom you'd be in you'd probably be in better shape yeah i mean you're probably bad if the plane's crashing i wouldn't you're gonna be you're gonna be completely unscathed except for like blue stuff all over your butt yeah um sorry lauren what
Starting point is 00:24:18 crime did you or what were you saying willie oh no i just the thing i had my notes up was when we were at karaoke on whatever night it was oh also when we i was going we were we had like an event and jack had left like a little bit before i did i guess i had some friends there and then he was like come to this bar there's karaoke i called an uber and we're like two minutes away and i guess he had gone in in queued over my head from my point of view yeah yeah so the guy was coming around and like people were signing up so quickly that i was like i don't really want to wait for like will so i just blocked off three spots and i'm texting will being like dude like your name is like coming up because he'd be like i'll be five minutes away so i tried to time it and
Starting point is 00:24:57 like i sang one so that like will would have more time and then uh did diego sing one is whatever so like we had spaced it out and like i can hear the song before will's ending and will's not here and then and it was over my head but it's over my head by the fray of course yeah and the guy just goes all right and so there's a restaurant up top and then we're downstairs kind of in like a speakeasy situation and it's separated from the stairwell by like these western saloon doors and they're like and uh will den ellen's gonna be singing over my head by the fray and like out of an old western movie the doors like fly open grabs the mic murders it this girl joins him for a duet they like had oddly good chemistry for never meeting each other
Starting point is 00:25:47 it was pretty proceeds to just crush like three or four more songs with like said girl who kept like for some reason I don't think this was you kept interlocking arms like they were going to do that like wine drinking thing but it was like I don't think she like realized like that wasn't like the time
Starting point is 00:26:06 I think she was mixing up two different movies and really inconvenient for singing and then we had a pretty killer weekend and then he also he was like dude if you die I'm going to say
Starting point is 00:26:20 Will Denellan Most people run from life Will Denellan ran at life I was like okay And he was like Cool Thanks man I hope that's not soon
Starting point is 00:26:30 I was like When you die I'm gonna do this And he's like You can just tell He's like I think I don't I think it's pretty bold
Starting point is 00:26:36 To assume You're gonna outlive me Alright now I'm sorry Lauren Now I wanna hear about How you almost got shot Last night What was it?
Starting point is 00:26:45 No So I don't even really know How to describe What was happening So I was at a bar With my friends Last night? yeah yeah yeah in chicago yeah okay and pretty impressive like what an impressive turnaround i
Starting point is 00:26:55 know i thought you'd be grumpier no i don't know i yeah i feel fine i'm pretty fine i slept the whole time on the flight so that's why um but yeah so we we finish our drinks we're standing in the corner like saying goodbye i'm like kind of like crying my eyes out because i like i don't know i'm very emotional like saying goodbye to like friends yeah and i like don't know next time i'm going to see them so like we're having a sentimental moment and then all of a sudden there's these neighbors like these guys one of them's like in his mid-50s and one is like maybe mid-20s so it's like a dad and like a son situation and they're these teenagers that were like throwing something at their front yard so we start hearing these like pops like cracks and then i
Starting point is 00:27:35 think it's like fireworks or something so then they come out the dad the the 27 year old starts chasing the group of guys like down the how little are the guys they're probably like 12 13 so they're like so they're still little sluggers yeah they're like kids they're kids yeah so the group gets away and then one we didn't know if he was in the group or not but some other boy was like two minutes later is walking down the sidewalk like kind of towards us and then the dad comes out and starts running after him and grabbing his backpack and like swinging him around this is like a child like he's literally assaulting this kid and we're all standing there like we don't know what to do we're like get your hands off of him like what are you doing and he's like yeah it's like by the
Starting point is 00:28:15 ankles like spinning them around i'm like why are you touching this child he's like i saw this kid last week like he threw a firework at my front yard i have it on video we're like that doesn't matter get your hands off of him show the police the video it was scary like i don't know no dude i'm sorry but if we weren't there like he would have like beat this kid up like i it was very scary we're all used to be able yeah no but he this is like a good this is like a 60 year old man and like an 11 year old boy like you can't be like swinging him around like don't touch yeah i i think you're right i don't know i don't know it was not you want to beat the shit out of a little kid i don't want to beat him i know i don't want to beat him i don't want to beat a little kid
Starting point is 00:28:55 i don't want to beat him i don't want to beat him but i will say like it's kind of like we like to us that looks like an innocent child that kid's probably like the biggest fuck and like no one is like put him in his place and it's like there's a reason it's escalated because this kid has done it so probably done it so many fucking times and the dad's so fed up feels like you're just instantly assuming that the guy's in the right i think if you're throwing firecrackers at someone's house like you're aware that there are like there's a chance you get like it wasn't even 100 that he was in the group because we saw like six of them run the other way and then all of a sudden how late was this came out of nowhere it was like 9 9 30 what were they doing just like running
Starting point is 00:29:36 around i mean it's summer like they're kids they live in the area i'm assuming um interesting how would you react will if a kid was fucking throwing poppers at your house doing poppers at your house the guys do poppers at my house i'd beat the shit out of them every time someone does face would be so hot while i did it like it's he's not doing poppers at your house he's doing poppers like at your house like he's like he's like he's like doing it in your in the direction of your house um i don't know i would be if there was a little kid who had skin in his ass raw i what what what were you gonna say i don't know man let's do the word map yeah we were all like get your hands off of him like yeah if you have a video of this boy show it to the police no and then this other
Starting point is 00:30:20 couple comes up and then they're trying to interfere and we're all like stop touching this kid like he was like throwing him around in his backpack like you're assault nearly assaulting this kid yeah it was not it was very uncomfortable and i no i think it was scary yeah no i'm on your side but i also am like i grew up around like really fucking annoying kids like that around them i still don't think you have the right to like touch your white ass i don't know there was a there was like a uh i don't want to name the name but there was a family that was like known to be i think they were like the last you know stragglers of like what used to be like the mob in Maine right so like I don't think they were like legit mob but like they like to think
Starting point is 00:31:03 of themselves as that and like my dad knew them and said that they were constantly doing like insurance fraud like there was like a seedy group of people and my friends uh went and ding-dong ditched their house and they guy came out and they apparently they had done it like three weeks in row and uh he you know came out chased them chased them down into like a cul-de-sac so there's nowhere for them to go and pulled out a gun and was like pointing it at uh my buddy and all they the guys started screaming and so the neighbors came out they were like 14 to 15 neighbors came out and started filming and the guy was like you're fucking lucky and we they came to my house and told my dad they didn't know like how serious his family was and but i was like are you joking
Starting point is 00:31:49 like that's the like literally the last last one you'd want to ding one like the like you ding that ding dong dish to the biggest hotheads like in the world like guys who think that they're in the mob are the last guys you want to be like ding dong ditch they're worse than guys that are in the mob yeah guys we're gonna take a quick second to tell you about one of our new favorite partners it's super innovative so take a deep breath so you don't faint it's the world's for zero carb zero alcohol and zero taste beer that's right they did the impossible if you haven't figured it out by now it's actually just sparkling water the brand is called not beer that's what it's called not beer the can looks just like a beer let me take a look at it it talks like a beer
Starting point is 00:32:28 but it's just sparkling water so you can drink it all day every day it's a healthy alternative to alcohol and a great drink when you aren't drinking a beer and a fun and sustainable alternative to boring single-use plastic bottled water which nobody nobody likes it nobody likes that junk i keep 12 to 24 of them under my desk and everyone in the office comes and steals them from me and it's very frustrating but i understand why because they're so delicious i personally have always been a sparkling water guy but this one rivals any that i've tried guys again the brand is called not beer n-o-t-b-e-e-r you can find not beer on amazon go to amazon.com and use the code 10 playdate at checkout for 10 off your purchase that's code 10 playdate for 10 off your purchase
Starting point is 00:33:18 of not beer let's get back into this fantastic episode of podcasting all right should we rm it up yeah roadmap like a roadmap my favorite segment okay as normal as normal as usual we have your pitches then will and i are going to pitch each other we're going to hear some am i the assholes lauren do we have any callers today we might call this guy he gave us like the scoop but we okay cool then we have everyone's favorite segment this guy rocks yep followed by everyone's previous favorite segment teach me something yep and then we have uh will and i are going to come up with new names for stupid words words that we think are dumb and need new names and then we're going to do local delicacies that don't exist uh and then we're going to talk a little bit about
Starting point is 00:34:05 personalities perhaps all righty then first pitch is from jacob jacob o'donnell he said jacob j-o-d i call him jod jod he says where's the d come from o'donnell pitch for the playdate team what is the main contributing factor to the pile of laundry on your bed or desk chair uh wait wait What is the main contributing factor to the pile of laundry on your bed or desk chair? Wearing the clothes. Not having a... I already had the deal for floors
Starting point is 00:34:42 that open up and drop your laundry. No, you invented the laundry chute. Yeah, okay. Wait, no, I would say lack of discipline, probably. Yeah. Clothes that are still clean after a single wear that were too lazy to fold slash hang up. This stems from a lack of motivation.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Yeah. Wait, you put your clothes back after one wear? not all of them but maybe like a pair of pants yeah yeah i can get behind that um enter the wardrobe tracker this system is designed to keep track of your clothing based on its weight each hanger drawer and hamper is programmed to expect a certain amount of weight on it by the end of the day with some margin of course if all clothing is accounted for you can earn rewards in our custom app the more days that things are put away the bigger the rewards the system can be implemented with our custom hangers dressers and hampers or weight sensing solutions can be
Starting point is 00:35:31 purchase to modify the laundry hardware you already have i guess my question is like should i get prizes for folding my clothes where do we yeah what but like no no but we're the we're the we're now the investors so i guess it's like how do we make what what we yeah we have to get money from them somehow pay for this well i think we should start with like is this a problem for you guys because it's not for me but i'm sure yeah some people it is for me really benefit from this I woke up the other day, and something has been different in my brain, where I feel like I'm more organized. Before, it was like all the clothes were constantly on my floor.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Then one day, I just started putting them in the hamper, and then washing them when the hamper was full. And it blew my fucking mind. You okay, dude? No, no, no. And then I started hanging them up. I told you I ordered a bunch of hangers, and the lady came and was like, somebody's getting organized.
Starting point is 00:36:19 and uh and i personally now i like being uh organized clothes but for a while yes it was like in college in college i think i like it was just my oh it's a nightmare it's so bad i forgot if i had hardwood floor or carpet yeah it was terrible i mean i don't i keep i wish i had a closet do you just have dresses yeah yeah yeah you can move into my closet well has it made you more minimalistic with like what I find is like I just recently did like a seasonal like I packed up all my like heavy coats and shit and just put them in like we have like a storage closet like in the living room that I just put like things I don't yeah I don't know I I'm not great about this so I like it but I don't really get it I don't really get it either to be honest
Starting point is 00:37:09 but if you love it but I love it and we're in I'm not obsessed with it but thank you Jacob up i feel bad i feel bad because i want him to know that we'd like it well i think that he had he created the right problem but i don't know that his he identified the right problem he identified yeah yeah um jay jay for some reason i like your idea like like if the shark tank guys were like way too nice they just end up investing in everything you're like all right i guess yeah yeah we'll do the yeah we can do the thing hot dog tower the leaning hot dog tower of pizza We're going to sell like hotcakes. Yeah, we got it.
Starting point is 00:37:46 Yeah, we'll figure it out. All right, we'll give them 10 bucks. Yeah, we'll give you 10 bucks. $10. Okay, next one is from Pat. He says... Oh, we made shirts, by the way. Oh, fuck yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Sorry. Well, I thought we were going to talk about this at the end, but yeah, that's fine. Well, maybe we should front load it. Yeah. Front, yeah. Mid load it. They're probably sold out, but Flag said... Are they sold out?
Starting point is 00:38:07 Unless you're an XL, I'm pretty sure. Flag said we're restocking. Nice. So It's called You can just check them out Just go Just look up Will and Rusty's bridge
Starting point is 00:38:16 And the link on our bio Link in our bio On Instagram Okay And shit talk Poop talk Um Okay
Starting point is 00:38:25 Pat says Lauren let's talk business Please read this to your two little Fuck yeah I like this guy already Did you hear Did you hear what he called you No
Starting point is 00:38:32 Two little troopers Yeah I like this guy's vibe Business name Stunter Name could use some work Fuck yeah Alright check this out bitches
Starting point is 00:38:40 We start a new what we start a new e-scooter company but that was boring that wasn't in the pitch yeah but and here's the kicker the scooters track how many sick tricks you do during your ride then they discount the price based on how many style points you get oh that's awesome the scooters could track things such as airtime 360 spins amount of flips top speeds and wheelie distance maybe we could add points for some other cool stuff like number of close calls with buses or unsuspecting pedestrians. Oh, I'd have like a million dollars based on my thing a month ago.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Yeah, you'd be fucking rich. Imagine how quickly your scooting business would rise to the top if all of your users were banging out gnarly stunts and getting vertical. Here's what we do. Is he not done yet? We're sitting on a gold mine here, gang, and you're going to wait, or you're going to
Starting point is 00:39:28 want to get in early on this one. I'll see y'all at our penthouse in the stratosphere after we make bucks. Much love. In the stratosphere. I like his vibe. I do too. I like that guy's vibe a lot. um here's here's here's what's good with that or here's what here's what we would do next step let's crack it we'd start making like little side hits so you'd like it would look like they'd blend in to like the naked eye like think so it would be like there just happens to be like a board laying on like you know what i mean those video games yeah yeah so there's like side hits uh
Starting point is 00:39:58 side hits yeah does that work is that from like a ski thing like they're like little jumps that are like naturally created on the sides um and then we could add like rails that look and you could hire guys who are like pretending to move stuff so you could like ollie over like a guy like moving a board yeah yeah or um i worry that people would die die but i think that's i think we just part of it's we're not liable if they die yeah i like that a lot i like that a lot i feel like that would work i think if we just make it it doesn't count we can make it it doesn't where it's not doesn't count
Starting point is 00:40:33 if you're dying that's don't tell well no if you die if you die you have like a beneficiary so like all your
Starting point is 00:40:40 all your points from your death go to that guy oh and it's a lot of points it's like it's like a fuck time we developed this like fucked up thing
Starting point is 00:40:47 where people are killing each other yeah jumping off of bridges dude I watched I was telling Will this I watched Star Wars yeah
Starting point is 00:40:55 Attack of the Clones yesterday it's the funniest movie yeah we got off the plane I was like he's like how was your flight I was like oh it was good Playing games on my phone
Starting point is 00:41:03 He was like Yeah I watched Star Wars I was cracking up It's the funniest I was like I don't think it's supposed to be like a It's the funniest movie I've ever The guys
Starting point is 00:41:09 I don't know what made me think Oh it's because They're chasing down that guy That Jenga Fett hires Or the girl Like the girl assassin Yeah yeah yeah They just like jump off
Starting point is 00:41:19 They fall like 10,000 feet Oh in the air On the And they're just fine Yeah I mean they're Jedi Yeah they're freaking They're Jedi They can do that shit
Starting point is 00:41:27 Natalie Portman's so bad She's beautiful wait she's the she's Padme Padme and there's that's the episode where they're like
Starting point is 00:41:37 off together yeah he so he comes back after they haven't seen each other since he was like a child yeah yeah and then they go to like
Starting point is 00:41:46 Lake Cuomo Lake Cuomo and Bone which seems weird that that's in the I can't maybe I missed something feels like they're just at
Starting point is 00:41:56 Lake Cuomo Lake Cuomo is that the name of it Lake Cuomo Lake Cuomo I'm actually not sure I feel like Como Everyone gets married there
Starting point is 00:42:06 Wait so this is a real place Definitely not what it's called No they are there though It's like the lake It's the lake on Naboo Look up Lake on Naboo N-A-B-O-O
Starting point is 00:42:23 N-A-B-O-O Idiot Yeah that's fucking Lake Como Lake Como That's literally Lake Como Yeah, it says it right there. Look it. On the image, it says Lake Como.
Starting point is 00:42:34 No, okay, so that's probably where they filmed. Like, what does that click on there? I think they just went on a... I think it's just a big plot hole. I think they went on an Italian vacation at some point. No. That's so funny. We're in Italy.
Starting point is 00:42:47 It's the location where they filmed it. It's not called Lake Como in the movie. They're supposed to be at Barrichino, whatever the hell this is. To re... Yeah, they're supposed to be here. I can't tell if you're doing a bit or not. It's like fake.
Starting point is 00:43:00 They go to a made-up Star Wars lake on Naboo. It just was filmed at Lake Como. They were in Lake Como. Well, they were. I guess they filmed it at Lake Como. Guy who thinks Star Wars was real. Yeah, it's like they can't go to Italy in Star Wars. It was in a galaxy far, far away.
Starting point is 00:43:15 No, it's a galaxy. It's a long time ago. Yeah. It was also a long time ago. Yeah, it's like a twofer. I was really baked when I was watching it, and I had to keep rewinding the part where they're setting it up, where it's the oh yeah like i would like get a text and like go to reply to it and it would be
Starting point is 00:43:35 like 20 minutes into the movie like oh fuck it have to go back does it go for a while yeah it's like 10 seconds yeah but it's like a lot of information yeah it's also funny that like like they they they're just like real like political like you could you would think that like the stakes were bigger and some of them like at the beginning the whole reason there's like a dispute is there's like a there's just like trade disputes yeah you know what i mean like it's like yeah like growing up i just i guess i didn't read it i was like okay they're bad because they're bad and they're good because they're good but it's like very real yeah they're just like legitimate it's like this is like weaponized to like create blockades that restrict the ability of like goods
Starting point is 00:44:19 to get in and out of naboo yeah but i'm getting really into django and boba fett yeah that was good like i guess i didn't really understand the lore of that either yeah i think i mean i think that's why i love star wars is that it's like at its core especially like the prequels it's like all like it's like how a fascist regime regime comes like an authoritarian government comes into power do you do you know what i noticed pretty accurate it's based on like nazis yeah yeah yeah wait who's this guy this that's boba fett or that's uh sorry that's um that's job of the hut Jabba the Hutt, yeah, my bad. Here's something I noticed.
Starting point is 00:44:53 Count Dooku... Jabba, two Bs. Count Dooku... You have so much to learn. His lightsaber has this kind of evil curve in the handle. Yeah, yeah. And I was like, why is that always evil? Like, Voldemort's wand does the same thing where it's like,
Starting point is 00:45:10 why is holding something like this evil? Yeah, it is kind of, though. Isn't that weird? Yeah. It doesn't make any sense. Like, why is that evil? Yeah, this is evil. like if i like like this is how good guys hold a remote but like a bad guy
Starting point is 00:45:24 a bad guy changing the volume that's how you find out that's how you find out your friend is bad okay guys we're gonna take a little break to tell you about cuts get ready to be the most stylish of your crew this summer with cuts most guys would wear a t-shirt every day of their lives if they could the problem is that most t-shirts are not acceptable to wear at work or on a hot date night today's sponsor cuts has finally changed that cuts t-shirts are such high quality wrinkle free and so buttery soft that you can look like you're dressing up even when you're dressing down yeah you heard that wrinkle free you never have to substitute comfort for fashion ever again dive into summer with cuts for a limited time you can save money while redefining

Starting point is 00:46:54 how like you can like remote start cars now yeah i want to do that for like more things yeah so like ty will ty will text me and be like can you preheat the oven yeah start it from home yeah so i was like i want well initially i was thinking about it it'd be nice if i could like like if i know i'm about to like play the guitar in a little i can just like press a button it'll like tune it while i'm oh nice while i'm getting ready and then getting ready i don't know why i need time to get ready but or like like slicking your hair into a mohawk yeah yeah putting on my like ripped jeans i'm gonna rock this or like when you're getting you're about to get home you could do something where like it like unlocks the door and like gets the heat going or something yeah
Starting point is 00:47:34 it's like in the winter months yeah yeah or uh and then it like it like turns on it turns on like a killer show music oh yeah you could have it like you could have it makes you hot chocolate if it's winter yeah i like how we're doing all these things like definitely have not you've definitely not turned on the heat made hot chocolate or watched a music video in the last like month and we're like those are the three things we would use it for it wouldn't apply in la probably yeah no it could i'm picturing we don't we don't have heat it opens all the windows It gets a nice breeze going. Yes.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Maybe the kettle starts. The kettle. The kettle. For tea. Yes. Kettle corn. Do you remember that? I was thinking kettle corn.
Starting point is 00:48:14 I was picturing like a- When it was screaming. We already talked about that. Wait, it's not a kettle. Kettle. Kettle. A tea kettle. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:20 It's a teapot. It could be both. Different things. Different things. A kettle is different than a pot. I'm picturing like a- I think kettle is the one that makes the noise, and that's why I didn't know the noise. It's a tea kettle.
Starting point is 00:48:32 Yeah. well both a pot and a kettle can be used to heat liquids a kettle is built primarily for boiling water whilst a pot is made for cooking meals okay but then what they call it i mean i feel like i call a tea a kettle a teapot well i think a teapot has to be short and stout calculating route to avoid seeing poverty turn left to bypass the unhoused youth sleeping on the street then keep right to skip by the lines of people waiting for food steer clear of the crowded shelter turning people away then take the next exit let's stop looking away and get in the way of rising poverty your donations help the united way fight poverty in thousands of ways like providing food shelter
Starting point is 00:49:14 and crisis prevention donate today at unitedwaygt.org okay kettle can just be stout got it okay i'm glad we got to the bottom yeah that makes a whole lot more sense did we already talk about the whistling thing on the pod yes yeah for those who aren't familiar funny i found out a couple months ago that teapots or tea kettles um can whistle in real life he sends a video he goes has this always happened it's doing the thing that happens in cartoons and you guys were like what are you talking about wait you also i screenshotted a text you sent earlier in this week it cracked me up oh did you guys know it's backgammon not batgammon because this is news to me why did you think it was backgammon i don't know why would why is that crazier than why is
Starting point is 00:50:01 that less crazy than backgammon they're both insane words i guess i just never seen it spelled out yeah i guess you're right no for some reason i thought i don't know why i thought it was i think my parents are getting into it now i think it's big in like maine right i think it's big when you have no kids anymore no shit to do like my my like my every time i get home my parents have a new thing that they're both up to individually um because they're separate because they're separate my dad is my dad is really into my dad's like uh finally having the the golf pro at our club like you know fix his swing oh and so he's in that like the time to do it he's in that odd stage where like he's it's gonna be better in the long run yeah but it's but right now it's worse and
Starting point is 00:50:50 He's playing with, like, a bunch of his buddies today, like, currently right now. And I had to tell him, be like, because it's going to, like, at some point it's going to go to shit. And he's like, I was like, don't revert to, like, your old swing just because you know it's, like, safe. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But that's always, I feel like that's going to be bad. I don't know why I felt like I needed to tell the story. What's your mom into, Lauren? What's my mom into?
Starting point is 00:51:11 Yeah. She's really into health and, like, wellness. Her dad, am I right? Clearly. Because they made Lauren. Clearly, because she's here. They were at least into each other once. Yeah, once.
Starting point is 00:51:24 Successfully. Wait, they're still together, aren't they? No, no, I meant like, they were clearly into each other. Oh, at least one time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which is weird that we're saying now. Yeah, pretty gross. Okay, let's...
Starting point is 00:51:36 Wait, what were you... Like, health and wellness. What? Health and wellness. Yeah, this was so cute. My mom listened, so hi, Nancy. Oh, shit. Sorry, then.
Starting point is 00:51:45 Sorry. What? Nothing. I mean, we were just talking about them... No, it's just... Being into each other. Yeah. That's probably so embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:51:51 She sent us this fun little recipe sheet. Wait, do you call your mom by her first name? No, I just... In third person, I... No, I don't. I don't. I just like... Did you ever have any friends that came over and called your parents by their first names?
Starting point is 00:52:03 No. That was expected. Yeah, you grew up in a crazy place then. Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Even still at this age, I want to say Mrs. and Mr. I still do. And my friend's parents are like, call me Dan. Call me this.
Starting point is 00:52:14 I'm like, it's out of habit. There was one school. there was a private school that was like 50 kids a grade and they called their professors by their first name there doesn't and so those kids would come over to our house and they had it like all back we all grew up like very like mr missus was it a montessori school no it was uh it was wayne fleet if you've heard of wayne fleet it's like uh just a it's like super crunchy granola and uh these kids would come over and like call your parents by their first name and it was like very like yeah my parents didn't care but everyone was like how the fuck are they getting away with
Starting point is 00:52:48 this well that was my my school like through eighth grade was or i guess i left after sixth grade but it was you caught we called all the teachers by the first names that's wild that is wild jaylen karen's class if i call wait why were there they were like tag team in classes yeah because it was montessori school the way they do they like oh you're a montessori boy yeah it was like fourth fifth and sixth were all in the same class wait what and then it's like fourth fifth fourth fifth and sixth grade are all in class first second and third grade are all class so here's a question yeah if i join in fourth grade am i learning this same shit no you fucking three years they kind of have like prescribed things for the different grades but i think the
Starting point is 00:53:26 beauty of it is like if you're really good at one like i think the whole kind of idea with montessori is like if you're a fourth grader is good at sorry i was like if you're good at shit you're around people to where they can like keep moving you up it's like if you you know what i mean like so like i was sometimes doing the math stuff that like the fifth graders were doing and that was able to do that because we were all in the same there was something similar like that at my kindergarten it was called apple tree and there was like this like you knew you kind of knew where you stood like the smarter kids were with heather and heather that heather kids were learning all business no she was the bet that's why i love carrot cake is she was teaching kids fractions
Starting point is 00:54:08 with carrot cake got it and i was like that's fucking badass um yeah but you there were like there was one big room but there were like slightly different heights so like you would only go down like one step but it was like the dumbest kids were like tiered yeah the the dumbest kids were like down the highest kids were like physically above the other kids ours was like it was all one room and you would just wander around and do your own thing all day and then They'd be like, all right, lesson time, like, fourth graders, it's math time. What do you mean, do your thing, just, like, activities? Yeah, I guess I'm now realizing how, like, bizarre this learning environment was.
Starting point is 00:54:46 But it was great. I mean, like, literally, like, you would, it was, like, kind of like here, where it was, like, you show up and, like, you'd have your meetings, which are, like, your lessons. But the rest of the time, you were just roaming around the room and there was, like. Were kids, like, dicking around or were they actually kind of, like, doing their thing? I think we were doing our thing. would you play with like water like do things with water there was stuff with water there were like the golden beads or like the blocks it was like all my cousins has her daughter goes to one of those and like she was what do you mean you did things with the water i don't know i mean
Starting point is 00:55:16 yeah sometimes to like figure out like quarts and gallons and isn't like almost i don't know if it's like every like it's all like hands-on yeah it's very cool i can't remember if i heard like if it was the top like 100 companies like all their ceos except for a few were montessori kids or if it was like every president has been a really i mean there was one like one of the two it was like oh it was the it was like if you look at the biggest like tech companies or whatever they were all montessori kids except and then the ones that weren't their kids go there really like they're i think it's like there's a type of i don't know i mean i think it opens like it makes you a creative and it makes some reason it makes like you went to like you could like do kind of
Starting point is 00:55:58 whatever you want like there's structure but it was like if you're like hey i really want to like do this random thing they'd be like yeah go for it it's all about like kind of learning at your own pace and like what if you were like i'm gonna be the best at like at like spanking it would they like accommodate that i was 10 man we were 10 i was spanking it jesus christ i'm sorry i just cut that um did you do your pitch yet no do you want to hear mine yep i actually think that this should exist i think it will exist at some point uh there's all these different types of like plays on like blank play when it comes to like apple products and i feel like it's frustrating that like i can airplay what's on my ipad to like a tv but if will and i are on the same plane
Starting point is 00:56:46 i can't just like cast what's on my thing onto his and we could like watch a movie together so it's like movie play yeah and we could be in the same place and share the same movie isn't don't they have that like for like netflix i don't know netflix party netflix when i was a kid we used to sit in my buddy tate's room because we didn't have a tv in his room so we would both start the movie at the same time on our phones and like lay down in different parts of the room yeah i think there's netflix party isn't that a thing that like long-distance couples do yeah skylar says that he faced skylar and lucas said that they facetime their long-distance shotties lucas has a long-distance girlfriend he was saying that he has done this okay i don't know if it's current
Starting point is 00:57:32 but like they facetime their long-distance boo thang and uh watched the movie that doesn't sound enjoyable at all it's really it was really big over covet i remember i would do with like four friends even and there's a chat bar on the side so you can talk during it it's fun it was fun you just play fortnite i guess i just like i guess i was just playing fortnite then yeah okay did i ever tell you about my fortnite intervention no yes no yes you said you were like in your room drinking a bunch of beers playing fortnite all day no that was me no what no this is so like when covid like first hit i was like i mean everyone we were all just kind of like doing nothing and that summer i just started like literally every night would just play uh fortnight
Starting point is 00:58:19 until like i was dating a girl that was on the west coast too so i think that made like we would go to like i'd be doing until like three or four in the morning with her with her something about playing video games with girls is not my cup of tea but i get yeah i get it was fun i mean she's god awful at it but i mean i wasn't that good either and uh and my buddy would play like we'd have like a squad but anyway we would like it was like every single night i'd be up to like 4 a.m i drank like a six pack of ipas and i'd sleep till 3 p.m the next day or something and like it got like and it was like there weren't it was kind of fine like there were no everyone was i gained like 40 pounds or something in like a month and my my family had it they all sat me
Starting point is 00:58:59 down like it was like actually did you like sat me down to the no because they didn't make it like they weren't like you have a drinking because it wasn't really like it was just like you can't play video games until 4 a.m every night oh yeah they were they were just concerned like it wasn't like losing your grip on reality yeah it wasn't like it wasn't like an addiction thing it was like you are like you have taken you have found this like it was a weird time and you're doing the worst possible thing with your time it's like you can't play fortnight until 4 a.m every night i was like i don't i'm not on the problem even and then i it's not you're trying to like rationalize you like it's like three it's like not better it was and i would eat a pint of ben and jerry's yeah
Starting point is 00:59:39 every time it was horrible it was awesome that was the best the first two weeks of code i think were the best two weeks yeah like i don't really regret it at all but it was time for me to we so we would all we would do the same thing i brought the tv up to my room and i rearranged it in a way where like uh when i grew up my tv was like facing my bed which was like a normal it was a normal orientation it like didn't look like freakish and then when covid happened i moved the desk so it was like perpendicular to my bed and then i there was a gaming chair like trapped in a there was no free space in there there was only space for that so i was like sandwiched in there and i like if you came to my room all you could see was like probably the top of my head and like the back
Starting point is 01:00:21 of the tv yeah and um i remember like not throwing out my beer bottles or the caps like i was drinking like out of the bottle and we like throw it across the room my dad came in and it was like like literally you couldn't step on the ground without stepping on a like a beer top and it was like i probably didn't shower in like a day and a half and like there were like hot pockets and stuff and he was just like no like we're not we're not doing this like we're gonna fix this and then i would wake up the only class i the only class i had for some reason was like pilates because like Rollins made you do a PE class. We get sent home
Starting point is 01:00:57 first week of Pilates. So I would just go down to the basement so hungover and still in my pajamas and I would put it so you could only see the top of my head
Starting point is 01:01:05 and then she'd be like, Jack, are you doing it? And I would have to look and see what the other kids were doing and try to match their pose and then put it down. Wait, I feel like
Starting point is 01:01:13 we've talked about this and I've expressed that I think it's so funny that Pilates and pirates are one letter off. Yeah, Pirates. Yeah, it should be Pirates or pilots.
Starting point is 01:01:22 It is Pirates in some countries. also also what you said we had to take one p class pe class oh i thought it was like p class like pilates or portfolio or oh oh we need to take one you define one class with the letters p and e and it was a fucking nightmare but like all my buddies played sports and so like they got out of it oh yeah and so it was like that counts yeah well because they were like practicing like twice a day yeah so it's like it does it is a thing totally um and then i missed so many pilates classes that she uh i had to write a paper like about like why i'm sorry so many
Starting point is 01:02:06 and uh you were missing them during covid like i know i missed a bunch in person i missed like the first like five in person yeah because i think i thought i was going to transfer out of it and i just didn't and then we were at home and it was like there was no excuse to miss it yeah so it was like my internet was i don't know my internet was backwards my internet broke my internet got covid i had a class spring of my senior year where like well i like went and met with her once because i was like this project like it was a day late or something and i was like hey i'm gonna get it to you sorry like it's just like i'm a senior about to graduate it was like a hip-hop class or something and she was like oh you're a senior about to graduate she was like
Starting point is 01:02:46 oh my god just turn in this assignment and you're good yeah for the semester and i was like i'm good like i don't have to come or do at the final or any work she's like yeah yeah and then coolest thing of all time i turned in a paper and i just never showed up oh i thought you were gonna be like and then she like forgot i went to office hours like a couple weeks before graduation just to be like we're good right we're good right i don't i know the finals on monday but i don't have to yeah like we're good she's like yeah yeah you're good because oh okay also i was taking it pass fail yep so she was like yeah once i turned in the midterm she was like you've already done more than half of the work but like i've never had a teacher be like so you don't have to come
Starting point is 01:03:25 or do the final yeah yeah did i ever i only was very rash i failed one class in college and it was we were i remember it yeah micro macro economics i was in nashville at with me no i was i thought i was with seamus because i was with his parents there was one time you were like supposed to be doing the shit and yeah we were yeah i was at a i was in a jazz club with my friend and his parents and someone texted me like like where were you today or like where are you right now and i was like i'm in a jazz club in nashville they're like we have the midterm today and i was like oh and it was just like i emailed her but it was like so clear that it like it was like what do you say like i'm sick it was yeah it was like i'm sick or something
Starting point is 01:04:15 But it was like 30 It was either the midterm It already happened Or it was halfway through Yeah And Didn't believe me I think I had to ace the
Starting point is 01:04:25 I had to ace the final And just didn't Just whiffed Yeah So hard Alright let's find out Who the asshole is Am I pulling this off
Starting point is 01:04:35 Is his sunglasses a weird look to This feels nice You didn't have them on It's fine What You only had them on For like two minutes Okay
Starting point is 01:04:41 No they look good though first one is from alexandra so she says i desperately need your guys's help deciding if i'm the asshole after something that happened this weekend as i'm wracked with guilt to set the scene i live in new york city and this past weekend a friend and i decided to take a stroll through central park cp on our subway ride there i'll never say those two letters that like get your mind out of the grutter cp on our subway ride there i realized i was extremely thirsty so after exiting the subway station i proceeded to locate the first hot dog stand by a bottle of water i go to pay for the three dollar bottle of water with my credit card when the hot dog man
Starting point is 01:05:22 said that it was cash only obviously i was bummed but then the man says something along the lines of you can have the bottle of water but only if you bring me back the three dollars in around one to three hours i first said no it's okay i can just get water somewhere else but the man insisted so But because I was so thirsty, I decided to take the bottle of water and confirm that I would bring back money. As soon as I stepped away, I realized how logistically complicated I cannot read today. Complicated. She didn't bring the money back.
Starting point is 01:05:52 No. Yes. She, yeah, went on about her dad. That was a clusterfuck. You were fucking up the words and he was having like ants in his bones. Ants in my pants. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:06:04 Talking about. Basically, yeah. The question is, is she the asshole for taking the water for free and not bringing back the money? No, but I don't want Will to bully you into not, because I want to figure out why she didn't bring the money back. It's like a park. Oh, okay. This is her reasoning. So, first of all.
Starting point is 01:06:19 There's no way she was just like, fuck that guy. First of all. Probably foreign. She didn't know. She said, I don't know. I don't know how I was supposed to remember where this random hot dog stand is. and me and my friends planned they planned to walk through central park and then go straight back to dinner meeting that they okay so she lost she lost the she lost the yeah thing here's here's
Starting point is 01:06:41 my here's my thing i've had a guy give me something for free with the like come back later we only take cash thing and i went back and it felt good because there was like a trust thing but that got the in my experience the guy wasn't like no no like definitely take it and i also think this is a small enough thing where it's like if he was like kind of forcing you into it and then it just like didn't really work out for you to bring him back three dollars i don't think it's the end of the world i don't think it's that bad i think you're i think you're yeah if you if you really were like don't worry about it he was like no no take it yeah then and then you lost there's nothing you do you lost the fucking hot dog yeah there's a hundred million of them well
Starting point is 01:07:24 that reminds me now yeah i have to now talk about i would sorry we'll get back on track but i went to the best halal cart in new york oh this was hysterical this is what i thought you were saying i'm i met up with my buddy james deacon it was his 24th birthday 25th 24th birthday i think happy birth 25th birthday happy birthday no i think he was 25 quarter of a century anyway um met up with him and his buddies it was like after the yankees game on saturday so it was like i didn't meet up till like one in the morning and so after like 30 minutes everyone was going home and his buddies were like hey we're gonna go to the best halal cart in new york i was like okay she's a big that's a big like stamp of approval yeah i was like okay i mean i gotta
Starting point is 01:08:05 check this out so i guess i'm picturing like you would walk up and be like oh yeah that is the best we get out of the uber it's just a random like block it's like 19th avenue or street or whatever it's the 19th and something but we go we walk up to it and it just looks like every other halal cart i'm like but how in the world would you know this is the best one they're like we found this guy on instagram went to every halal cart in new york and said this is the best one so i was super excited so i got the food i decided to walk home so i could have like the proper experience like sit down at home and enjoy it uh walk back to my hotel it's like 10 blocks finally get there set down the world's best halal food sit down on my bed immediately just fall asleep i never even
Starting point is 01:08:47 got to i never even tried one bite of the world's best halal food wait you didn't eat it when you just woke up or something i thought that was gross yeah it would too also like how far is a block halal is like it's like chicken over rice it's like um i don't know like arabic something okay i think halal is like a dietary thing it's like no i think halal is like how they kill the animals make something whole. Well, isn't it kind of like their version of like kosher? Yeah, correct.
Starting point is 01:09:16 It follows like a, whatever. There's like a religious, but it tends to associate with a type of... Why, how far is a block and why do they say it? Why wouldn't you just say it's a mile? It's a block. Because in New York, it's like a grid. It's like super easy.
Starting point is 01:09:30 It's like the streets go... Yeah, but aren't they all different sizes? No, it's just every time you like pass another road, that's a block. I don't like that. Wait, you don't know what a block is? No, no, no, I was saying, like, I don't get, in my head, it was, like, the street lengths were different, so, like, in my head, it was just this arbitrary thing.
Starting point is 01:09:46 Every one of these blocks is exactly the same. Oh, I didn't know that. Because the whole, like, that's how Manhattan is. It's kind of cool like that. Nice. No, I don't think you're the asshole for not bringing the three bucks back. Like, that guy makes so much fucking money. I don't, he runs a hot dog cart.
Starting point is 01:10:00 I kind of disagree. Guy who thinks hot dog, hot dog salesmen are, like, billionaires. That guy's so fucking loaded. Yeah, eat the rich, dude. Well, no, I think they do make, like, a significant amount of money. Google how much does a hot dog vendor make? They make $60 a year. It says the average is $30,000 a year.
Starting point is 01:10:25 He's rolling it. He's fucking loaded. I don't think the rationale should be, like, that guy's got plenty of money. But I agree that it's small. She lost the car. What are you going to do? It's fine. It's fine.
Starting point is 01:10:36 What are you going to do? You lost the car. It's not like there are some things that like you're not in the right, but it's fine. You're fine. I don't think it's fine. She shouldn't have taken it if she knew she couldn't have come back. She probably thought she could come back. That's the thing.
Starting point is 01:10:47 Yeah. And then she and then it was deliberate. If it was like, I'm going to lie to this guy, then that's bad. But like, yeah, I don't know. No, you're not the asshole. You robbed a guy who makes $30,000 a year. You robbed a guy like before taxes makes $30,000 a year if he's on the high end. All right.
Starting point is 01:11:02 Next one. I don't know if taxes are part of the equation for hot dog vendors. Maybe. what you think they you think they live in like a they're like exempt well it's like if it's all cash these politicians so much they're like let him keep it hot dog exemption let him keep it he's got a hot dog exemption all right next one next one is from tommy he says what's up lauren and the gypsies fuck yeah yeah am i the asshole for playing through an entire men's beer golf league without asking okay so in my town there's a small par three golf course that's only nine holes and
Starting point is 01:11:36 super cheap to play me and my three boys pulled up on a tuesday night with the tea time and went to the first hole as gallivant gallivanted our way down to the third hole we realized that they were we were behind a 30 man beer league full of 40 to 50 year olds we sat at the tea box for 20 minutes waiting for them to go when we realized that another six holes of this would take nearly four hours we skipped ahead of them three full holes giving them ample room to play yeah two of my boys t off and one of the players comes up to us and right off the bat starts chirping us telling us how fucked we are for skipping them we explained to him how we naturally play fast and there was only four of us compared to their 30 man roster we also found it so hard to believe that it would
Starting point is 01:12:15 be that big of a deal because they found out that it's a casual course and it was a tuesday evening and we were so far ahead of them that they wouldn't be able to catch up so we're like yo man can you cool your jets for a sec and he didn't take that very well and calls over the rest of the gang for backup this is when they all wait time out they're playing 30 guys to a hole are you yeah are you picturing what i'm picturing like is it is it a 30 man group or are they scattered amongst like six holes yeah that's what i can't if there's 30 guys at a t-box you have to skip them you continue i think what probably happened is like they did like a shotgun yeah and then they're all like moving together amongst wait so like four how many foursomes is
Starting point is 01:12:56 30 guys but why would it take four hours to play six holes if they weren't all just playing the same hole yeah i they i they must be playing some ginormous fucking thing yeah he just okay and then he says this is when they all started just absolutely losing it on us and we decided to yell back because they're being super gnarly one of them claimed he was going to beat my friend's ass if he hit the ball in the ninth hole as he was teeing up his shot my friend did it anyway and it was one of the greatest shots i've ever seen completely acing the green well done by the way we're all minors so my friend lost his shit telling him that he if he came and beat his ass he would sue him later the manager comes out and tells us we have to leave immediately without a
Starting point is 01:13:33 refund what's this guy's name tommy tommy your boy you got your boy kind of lost me whenever the like like my least favorite thing i was completely on your side and i still am but i will say is you lose a lot of you lose a lot of credit when you turn into the guy that's like yeah hit me pussy like i'm a fucking minor you know what i mean like that has always run me the wrong way i do think i'm i've always subscribed to the belief of like a catch me if you can situation where like if i go around a guy and you're not catching me like it's not it's not yeah you have no right you have no right to be mad unless you're sitting there waiting for me for even a second if you wait for even a second
Starting point is 01:14:13 that it's my fault but like if you can build up enough of a headway whatever I completely agree no I don't think
Starting point is 01:14:19 you're the asshole but I think like the way to defuse those guys is always to take the high road like the second you stoop down
Starting point is 01:14:27 to like a 55 year old guy who probably doesn't have the greatest life and you're like chirping him like all he wants
Starting point is 01:14:34 you to do is chirp him so if you're just like you know sorry I don't and you like kind of explain
Starting point is 01:14:39 casually which I guess there is no reasoning with those guys but i just can't i really can't picture the yeah i mean it sounds like either these guys have never played golf before and thought that 30 guys in a hole was the normal thing or you're or like we're missing a crucial detail yeah i think you're fine though yeah i don't think you're the asshole all right should we do some drafts or no wait we have teach me something me or no let's do this guy rocks first yeah i might have fucked this segment up you go
Starting point is 01:15:07 first okay my this guy rocks lauren i'll airdrop it okay um this is this might be a first actually he's not even a guy this girl rocks no not even that either it's a third more sinister thing so to set the stage for the um pause it to set the stage for the people at home uh who are audio listeners it's a pool and there's a dog in the pool but what's interesting about this dog is they're not swimming and they're not really even floating they're sitting on the bottom of the pool defying the laws of uh physics and uh it's just sitting at the bottom of the pool and it like it like there's no like it's not 10 feet in the water so click player what's that is that insane how is it doing that what wait how long is that video it's like three seconds
Starting point is 01:16:08 it's at the bottom it's like 10 feet down there's no way i feel like it's edited must be edited but i don't know how oh oh that's so funny never mind that's still so cool and he has little boots on too yeah but it it looks like he's 20 feet underwater just sitting there yeah love that guy oh here i got one okay i love the this guy what do i airdrop it yeah airdrop it this jane you know james jones he was on love on the spectrum oh yeah yeah yeah yeah he rocks his videos are so fun is this the one where he's in the throne no this is wait what's the Is he the blonde, curly? Podcasts, iMac.
Starting point is 01:16:57 This is my favorite one. Most of us are like, yeah, I follow that line of thinking. This one just caught me so off guard. Wade, put the sound on. I have always disliked the fact that we humans do not have fangs. Other animals do. Why do we not?
Starting point is 01:17:13 Even our closest relatives, chimpanzees and gorillas, have fangs. And they are mostly herbivores. On occasion, they shall eat small, wiggly animals, but for the most part, their diets consist largely of fruit. So it is very weird that they have fangs and we humans, who are omnivores, do not. So, I mean, obviously, there is no way to change that situation of genetic engineering. I do have to wonder how that came out in the first place.
Starting point is 01:17:44 we can stop i don't know how he's going he's going on i oh i love whenever i watch him talk i realize like i've never had a i've never had a thought yeah my thoughts are one line and they and they end after one line yeah yeah i don't even think he i don't think he had thought about this ahead of time i think he just started recording was like i'm gonna riff it yeah i'm just gonna riff so cool it's such a yeah do you wish he had fangs i mean i didn't i obviously hadn't thought about until this now i'm like yeah i guess for like a for like a steak would that be like better and we have canines so yeah i have teeth all right all right anyway that guy rocks everything that guy does rock every that guy he posted one the other day that was cracking me up
Starting point is 01:18:40 where he was just sitting in the – he was at a wedding. He was sitting in, like, the bride's chairs. Oh, this? And he called it James of Thrones. That's so – All right. Should we teach each other something? Yes.
Starting point is 01:18:53 I'm stoked for this. Okay. I have a really fun one. I want you guys to close your eyes. It's 1518. Picture you're in 1518. You're in Strasbourg, which is – No way.
Starting point is 01:19:07 Swear to God. What? What? This is mine. Wait, how? Wait, just continue. Wait, how is this yours? What did you Google?
Starting point is 01:19:20 I didn't Google anything. I saw something about this. I also, yeah. Wait, that's wild. The dancing plague. Yeah, so it's 1518. It's the summer of 1518, and you're in Strasbourg, which is in the western tip of the Roman Empire.
Starting point is 01:19:37 People are having a great summer, and then this woman starts dancing in the street and like doesn't stop and then like people start to join her and at like the peak of it they think like 400 people were just dancing in the street they called it the dance but it went on for like weeks and um people think it was like either like a stress-induced thing or dying people were like literally dying of exhaustion because they'd be dancing for like weeks and months and like dozens of people died because they just were dancing and wouldn't eat or sleep or anything wow we must i i wonder what i googled i googled something like i was like a little like usually like i i just go through my like i look at wikipedia like every
Starting point is 01:20:16 day so usually i just go into my search history and i find something but like i couldn't find anything good so i just googled like funny moments from history or something like that oh that's wild and it was like one of the first ones that came up and i that's actually insane but that that that that's what people were dying yeah no no it was like it wasn't just like oh everyone had a good time it was like they couldn't get anyone to stop like they were all going like nuts for like yeah like like this like this for like and like collapsing yeah like doing like this stuff wait wait that's insane that we had the same one oh yeah look oh look at that guy looks like he's having a blast though look at that lady what even the instrument is that it's a floor tune
Starting point is 01:20:53 yeah they're like holding her up god damn dude i wore like the like these boxers aren't normally this big there's like so much of them so much fucking normally this big all right let's redraft let's draft shit all right we've got what do you want to do first um let's do let's do new names for stupid words okay start us off all right these are new these are new names for stupid words uh microwave yeah i don't like thinking about like what's like it's like kind of like yeah i don't want to know the sausage is made yeah call it a zapper yeah throw it in the zapper yeah love it done horseshoe feels like they kind of mailed it in on that one i propose uh clonks clonks yeah wait that's perfect thank you um french fry yeah we're giving them too much
Starting point is 01:21:50 credit call it a long tot um girlfriend like i don't like that that whenever i describe my friends that are girls i have to be like my girlfriend my friend that was a girl you know what i mean and then i also feel like girlfriend's not really romantic yeah um what's the new one i propose we permanently change it to boo thing i like that okay i like it should be one word like but yeah like butang butang clan all right uh donut hole it's the opposite of what it is it's a donut ball yeah yeah the donut hole is nothing the donut hole the donut hole is the product of getting the donut hole yeah it doesn't make any sense it's not if you ordered a donut hole it'd be like it's horseshit i'm right there with you
Starting point is 01:22:42 yeah bottle opener so i feel like we took like different approaches yours are like yeah but mine are just like i guess i obvious i don't like when people mail it in yeah i agree a bottle opener should now be a top hopper it's like top hopper but it's one word top hopper a top hopper yeah pass me the top hopper like to popper yeah pass me the to popper that's awesome uh sneakers Yeah. So loud. Call them runners. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:10 Oh. Wait, why runners? They're running shoes. Yeah, you never sneak in them. I call these sneakers, though. That's what we're talking about. Okay, maybe shoes. No, but you don't run in these.
Starting point is 01:23:21 Yeah, but those used to be tennis slash soccer. Well, it's either sneakers or tennis shoes, which is like, it's neither of them. Yeah. Like, in the Midwest, they probably call them tennis shoes. Yeah. My mom says, like, gym shoes or something. Maybe gym shoes works. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:38 But, like, sneakers. I think it should be runners. I like runners. Runners are good. Vacuum. Too many U's. Not a fan of it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:48 But now I'm realizing my solution for it kind of also does the same thing. I was thinking, like, it's like a schloop or something. With two U's? like two O's so it's like I guess it doesn't really better than two U's I fucked it up
Starting point is 01:24:06 no you you're one of my friends from college we didn't go to college oh from work that's how I know you this new girl that I've been talking to
Starting point is 01:24:16 goes where did you go to college again and then replied to her own text and goes slash if you went and so I had to be like
Starting point is 01:24:24 that sucks that I give off the vibe that I didn't go to college and cause that would be bad well I just feel like I paid a lot of money to do it. So you think you're better than people who didn't go to college? No, I'm saying
Starting point is 01:24:37 I paid to go, so I would wish that it was more apparent that I went. So you hate to work in class? Yeah. I hate them. Golf club. Wait, why? Because I don't like
Starting point is 01:24:53 that golf club can be the venue and the thing you hold. Interesting. call it a rod yeah my golf rod got my rods because my golf stick yeah or yeah or rod since that's what i said it's my fucking asshole but i don't i was thinking about club is an insanely overused word it's like it could be a place you are a member at it could be a place you dance a place you dance could be a thing you hit balls with it could be a type of sandwich it could be a cracker oh hell yeah what the fuck yeah it could be a weapon from the medieval times calculating root
Starting point is 01:25:28 To avoid seeing poverty, turn left to bypass the unhoused youth sleeping on the street. Then keep right to skip by the lines of people waiting for food. Steer clear of the crowded shelter turning people away. Then take the next exit. Let's stop looking away and get in the way of rising poverty. Starting point is 01:25:58 It could be a weapon from the medieval times. We're going to dial in what a club is. Yeah. We're too liberal with who gets it. Yeah, the first one I'm getting rid of is the golf stick. So who gets to keep it? I think the sandwich should be it. I think the cracker and the medieval weapon.
Starting point is 01:26:12 I think partying should keep it. Wait, what kind of a clack crack? What kind of a clack cracker? Clack cracker. Club clacker? To me, that's the... I've never even heard that. The green ones.
Starting point is 01:26:21 They're like buttery. Yeah, but they should be the first ones to go, if anything. Can we talk about this offline? Yeah. I'm going to freak the fuck out on you As long as we rap My last one is haircut I don't like how just cut and dry it is
Starting point is 01:26:37 Didn't Angus do that when we did our No it's fine you're doing your best Oh I didn't know he did that I actually don't know if he did I think he might have but I don't know I think it should be like I got a nice graze the other day A graze? I like that
Starting point is 01:26:51 I'm going to go get a graze I like that a lot That was fun yeah do you want to do what are you okay sorry no i'm gonna phrase this one cool okay what are some of your like you know like there's like regional like you're you're from chicago you got deep dish pizza stuff like that what are some of your favorite local delicacies you've gotten to try uh have you ever had the delaware horseshoe crab no so maryland came out with the crab cake okay delaware was like we have to find something to rival this and all they really have is the
Starting point is 01:27:25 horseshoe crab and they like i guess they didn't take into account like it's not really a crab it's like a gross it's so gross shellfish like hard thing and it's so bad but like they refuse to admit it because it's their thing in delaware the delaware crab cake yeah that's that sounds great man or wait wouldn't it be the clonk crab now i don't know no wasn't that one of the words you changed what horseshoe oh yeah the delaware clonk crab clonk cab cake all right have you had a sacramento sun cake no it so it's like a normal cake with like vanilla frosting but then they coat the whole outside layer with sunflower seeds yeah so every time you take a bite you have to like weed through yeah open the shells spit the shells out yeah it sounds like a nightmare it's
Starting point is 01:28:08 hard to eat yeah it's only you got to be from sacramento um you like like eggs benedict i'm a guy right uh have you ever had american holiday sauce so it's like like the french or the dutch or whoever named like hollandaise sauce yeah like we just have a harder time pronouncing it so there was a guy and he made a thing called holiday sauce and it's just like it's the same thing with one different ingredient but he renamed it so it's easier for us to say i love that holiday sauce holiday sauce it's holiday so american holiday sauce uh have you ever had an el paso corn sausage no so what they do is they make corn on the cob and they take a sausage then they cut off all the the corn off of the cob and they meticulously glue it rearranging the the corn
Starting point is 01:28:56 on the cob look but it's all the core of it is a sausage instead of the gross part of the corn nice so you can bite right into it it's all corn on the cob around it and then sausage in the middle sounds yummy it actually does sound good that does sound good i don't like the used glue though uh it's food glue food glue you pitched that i did sandwich glue that was like episode one person that's good yeah um good i'm good have you ever had the uh the british let's keep calling our foods the wrong words potato no so it's like a new way to prepare potatoes um and they keep the trend of them like you know for them like fries or chips and chips or crisps yeah um it's they now call mashed potatoes like squishy squishy mask mash crisps or something yeah because like
Starting point is 01:29:45 it would make too much sense for them to just call it the right thing because yeah and also didn't they lose like the whole revolutionary war to us yeah yeah fuck those guys do you think we have a lot of british playmates yes really i feel like we do okay and then i apologize but you guys do call your potatoes weird things i don't i never feel bad have you ever had a missoula mustard pie from missoula montana all mustard on the inside pie shell all mustard on the inside piping hot is the hottest mustard of all time both temperature and spice yeah it's a nightmare they love it in missoula have you ever had um the texas thrice baked potatoes it's just like twice baked potatoes but they do it like a third time
Starting point is 01:30:30 and it's like kind of overkill because like at that at that point it's just like they're so hot and they're like you shouldn't be baking them anymore but they keep doing it i mean that's that's what they do you can't blame them all jokes aside twice baked potatoes are like my favorite thing in the world yeah sounds so good i mean that and a houston style hot dog it's a rectangle that's it um it's like imagine you took a hot dog and cut into three pieces and then tape them together in a log the other way though yeah a lot of like tape and glue okay um well all right picture this it's a hot summer day what what type of drink do you want a florida a lot of say it with me a florida wounded warrior a florida wounded warrior
Starting point is 01:31:24 florida wounded warrior you basically you pour it the beer the night before so by the time you wake up it's so flat uh that there's no bubbles and it's really bad and gross but it's like a wounded it's like a wounded warrior and it's like a thing that they do and it honors the troops it's a thing that they do and it's a it's uh yeah it honors the troops and so you have a florida wounded warrior to start your day sounds grass gas sounds grass sounds grass it sounds ass sounds fucking disgusting no it sounds great um how's bus lauren whose personality are we gonna steal this week hmm i well whose personality we're gonna steal this week cancel that
Starting point is 01:32:05 Lauren back to Lauren no I'm doing I'm taking Morgan Wallens nope not the not what he did yeah I feel like
Starting point is 01:32:15 saying Morgan Wallen right after like what I kind of having a dicey accent I'll take Jose Altuve
Starting point is 01:32:23 yeah no who's he gonna take I'm sorry Aaron Judge you became like a pseudo yankees fan for a day i know i went and he hit two home runs did he actually so tall crazy as you were saying you were gonna make a bet on one of the home runs and i was like dude you should do it on aaron judge i did it on volpe did he have one nope he's only six all year we got there we're like fuck but anyway yeah aaron judge nice dog

Starting point is 01:33:06 Like a roommate. You need light. Fun person. California king. Whose personality are you stealing? I'm going to steal a nicer version of myself because I just heard a story from Emily Bonder where someone said that they met me at a bar and Emily said, oh, how was it? and they said that I was really mean to them.
Starting point is 01:33:28 But I have no recollection of... That doesn't sound like you. I just don't think that it happened. Yeah. I'm not feeling an alien. But I'm going to make a point to be really nice so that no one can say that about me. I also...
Starting point is 01:33:41 I, like, remember sending a really mean text, but I can't remember who I sent it to. Did you delete it? I think so. And that's, like... I was telling Will about this the other day. I just can't for the life of me remember who I texted. and now i'm worried i'm gonna see them and they're gonna i don't know oh well uh so if i sent you
Starting point is 01:34:03 something if i sent you something it's someone listening if so if the person who i sent a mean text to is listening please let me know and i'm sorry um also if you see me at a bar and i'm being mean tell me because apparently i'd do that i'm sure if you're being mean and someone goes up and be like you're being mean you're gonna be like oh i'm sorry i think i think that that's like the funniest uh i think that that actually is an effective thing like children do it where it's like hey you're sometimes we just don't know yeah and they're like you're being mean right now and you're like oh i am all right um comment your favorite oh yeah what should they comment tv show i think we know let's mail it wait also one more come on let's mail it in one more reminder you
