Welcome to the Wolf and our podcast with me, Rommish Rang and Ethan.
And I, Tom Davis.
Now, if you're watching, which most of you are, very exciting times,
because after last week's episode, Tom was issued the challenge of choosing a top for both him and myself.
Yeah.
And I'm got to say, he's absolutely smashed it.
I can't say it.
Well, you thought it was going to be a comedy top, didn't you?
I thought you were going to stitch me up, yeah.
I'm not that guy.
I wanted to buy something.
I wanted to feel like, I can.
You could feel, that feels like my arms around you when you're wearing it.
It feels like such a vibe.
Yeah.
And look at you with unbuttoned down to it.
I know, yeah, yeah, I've gone for a little bit of a move.
You look like the, uh...
Do you know how I feel like?
The guy that gets told off in the art shop in Beverly Hills Cop?
Yeah.
Or Gary Bushey in Point Break.
Oh yeah, nice.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're really good.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, what do you want, beak or jaws, feathers or fur, sharp teeth or feet with claws,
Whatever's prefer
Just kidding
Every word in his songs
About two grown men
Dressed up as a bird
And a dog
That's a nice cap as well
Yeah, it's a nice cap
Yeah
I went in there
Shout out Abercombe and Fitch
Shout out
Abacrombie
And let's not forget Fitch
I'm gonna say by the way
Also shout out
One of the best
shop workers I've seen
A long time
She was very very fun
She had great
Swift
Just good banner
Yeah
Good chat
It was like
You know what
I turned out
I was like
This top would
look amazing on my friend.
And she was like, oh, you're buying for your friend?
I was like, yeah, my best friend.
And she was like, wow.
And then she was like, I've never heard that before.
And I was like, yeah, he's wearing it just now.
We're going out.
I could obviously have it in the podcast.
Yeah, I know.
We're going out of the town.
I was like, he's recently divorced.
He's looking for love.
Okay, stop projecting.
That's a look that you...
It is a bit of a divorcee vibe, isn't it?
Yes, yeah.
Yeah.
But you're through the worst of it.
What do people say?
It's giving.
Yeah.
It's giving back out on the town.
By the way, you were, you were ahead of the aura curve, wouldn't you?
What does that mean?
Well, it's become such a big thing.
ORA is used in everything now.
Yeah, I'm not, I wasn't ahead of the Oro curve because of me, it's my children.
Yeah, no.
Was Jimskin, right?
Jimskin.
Jimskin brought back to ORA.
What has made it big?
Yeah.
No, but I think we were, oras predates Jimskin.
I think Jimskins leveled up ORA.
Can I say, but I'm a big fan of Jimskin.
I think, yeah, he's a really positive guy out there.
But this is, this, people are fucking.
making it out like Jimskin invented fucking influencing.
Like what's going on here?
I think in a puddle full of quite...
Yeah, in a puddle full of vomit, he's the nicest chunk of carrot.
So harsh on him.
I'd say that he's a fly on the carrots.
No, I'm going to...
He's not necessarily...
No, I'm going to say, I like Jimskin.
I like it.
And I've seen...
I've been a fan for a long time.
And I've seen, with him, I think he's somebody...
You could tar him with the brush of like being sort of toxic,
male, but he's not that at all.
No, no, no. He looks alpha.
Yeah, but I've watched his trajectory from where he started.
He's changed a lot.
He was ever toxic. He was never that thing.
No.
But he did surround himself with some less than savory characters.
Did you see, I think it was some boxing match where those guys just started on him
random.
Yeah, and the way he dealt with that was phenomenal.
Unbelievable.
But he also, I just think, did you see the Madonna thing with him?
Yeah.
I thought it was a look-a-lock.
I couldn't believe that Madonna's hanging out of Jimskin.
No disrespect.
to Jim's skin.
Yeah, but can I say
there's an air of sort
of quite sweet
vulnerability about him.
I'm sure he's not vulnerable.
I'm sure he's
and in every
creaming every...
What I love as well
by he's creaming every cent.
He's what's sorry?
Creaming every cent.
What does that mean?
He's, he's milking every...
Oh, I see.
Right.
Disgusting, my affair.
Hey, y'all's Kelly Clarkson
with Wayfair.
Ever order furniture online
and wonder what if?
Like, what if it doesn't hold up?
That sofa was four days old.
You should have ordered from Wayfair.
With Wayfair, there's no what if.
Just style you love
and quality you can trust.
it wayfair.ca.
Wayfair, every style, every home.
Can I say that one of my favorite things is he got booked to the, essentially the job
I was doing, and he was just a lot better at it, to be the guy behind the scenes at the
boxing.
And he was incredible.
Oh, is he doing the job that you were doing?
Yeah, he's doing it a lot better than I was.
I cared too much about boxing and also cared.
I just found it very difficult.
It's not in my wheelhouse.
His first gambit is, I don't really like boxing.
I'm just here for the fucking buzz
for the aura
And I was like
That's one of the best things
In the way
Authentic
Yeah he did it at football
Yeah
They said
Are you a big Arsenal fan
I mean not really
He doesn't seem
And I'm like
Oh good
In a world
Where everyone's
I'm the biggest
Arsenal fan ever
Yeah
You get this guy
Yeah
I like him
I think he's a
Yeah
I hope your boys are into him
Right
Mm
I've not
I think
They know of him
I know
Who is the coolest
One for the boys
For the kids
Who's the coolest one
Of my kids?
No
No, I'm not so.
Fucking, that would be awful.
Who's the coolest one for my kids?
Probably Bivo.
Oh, man.
If there's ever been no more traffic,
I know that we've discussed him arguably too much.
But, you know, he's now, yeah.
I mean, he's really dug the depths.
I felt a bit sorry for him, actually.
I feel very sorry for him.
Because he's been ripped out.
Somebody took his hat off and threw it into the ring at the Misfits fire.
I've not seen that bit.
It's pretty bad.
But the guy's getting bullied.
Yeah, my algorithm, by the way,
is cut a lot of this stuff out.
You're mainly spots get in.
Yeah, which arguably is better than watching.
No, my kids...
It's a very toxic world.
My kids are quite into...
They're quite like Nico from Beta Squad.
They're like...
I like him, he's...
They're all a Beta Squad, really.
They're in...
Sidemen, still very big in their...
Not big in their lives.
KSI's left now, right?
Yeah, very controversial, that isn't it?
Yeah.
But it's not controversial.
KSI said he's leaving.
They side men issued a statement saying
we're not sure we were hoping
that we could do like a big goodbye thing that didn't happen
this is kind of slightly blindsided us
then there's a bit of confusion now because
KSI said I want to spend more time
with my family and
then he did another interview saying he wants to be
the new Mr Beast or whatever he's aiming for his number
of followers and stuff and now he's doing
loads of contents I think
he has just wanted to go solo
obviously he wanted to go solo but the other
like a boy band's splitting up yeah basically
like for you when Robbie left take that
yeah yeah yeah
So, I don't, I don't, you know,
people that love the sidemen are pissed off for KSI,
but KSI's got fans,
sidemen have got fans, they'll all be all right, I imagine.
Would you make a misfits boxing, by the way?
Did you watch the last, I mean, are you a...
By the way, I don't think it should be called misfits boxing.
Why?
Because I don't, I think it's as far away from boxing as you could possibly.
I think, by the way, it's great entertainment.
I think in the world of WWE and wacky stuff happening,
there's an element of the showman.
of it. I go fair enough
that. But it's
it's actually quite a
I think it's derogatory almost to sort of
like boxing is one of the most elite sports that you
can do. I think knowing a number of boxes
and the things that box has put themselves through
to become a boxer. I actually think weirdly
KSI and Tommy Fury and Eddie Hall
are people who take it. I thought the last show was
almost like oh this is
this is almost hit the lowest ebb
of what Miss Fitzgould be as a
is an air of like this is boxing
because I think actually to be fair
actually some of the events before almost looked like
oh actually they're training they're taking it seriously
and then it's like oh no this is this is gone
I do agree with you
and I think that it's a bit of a circus
that whole misfits thing
and also you're seeing it
like I saw I watched
sorry to bring Bave up again
but I saw a video of him hanging around that event
and he was just
basically whoring himself out on the camera
going, I'll fight anybody. And they were going,
who do you want to fight? And he goes, like,
I'll start shutting people out when I'm like, my
shoulder's sorted out. And that's become an avenue
for influences to make, have a pay,
what they, a payday, right?
So there's all these kind of fake little
beasts being set up.
And boxing is a really hard
sport. And so there's an argument that
misfits is kind of
undermining that or making it a little bit
of a laughing stock. My counter
argument to that would be
that football's really hard
and football has put themselves through a lot
to get to professional football
and people aren't saying the same things
about Soccerade
as they're saying about misfits boxing.
Do you know what I mean?
And like the side men do a charity match
and nobody says these same things.
So I feel like it's slightly double standards.
I think but I think the very,
the difference is what boxing is
as a physical sport of
I think the fact of punching someone in the head
has made to knock them
you know, not to quote
fucking boxes of her,
but to deem someone out unconscious,
not to stop someone out.
Is that,
once you start fucking about with that stuff,
like boxing is...
It's more potentially dangerous.
Yeah, football, of messing around football
and, you know,
you're going to realize quite quickly
that you're not as good as a profession,
whatever, but I think boxing,
if you go into it and you're half-baked
and you don't really care,
I think there could be a real big miss of it.
Something bad can happen.
Yeah, I think the other thing is...
And also this calling out
and trying to,
to this whole sort of bevo there going,
I'll fight anyone, and you see this whole.
And the other thing is,
I think the thing that's slightly muddied it
is that when people watch Soccerade,
nobody is asking anybody in the world of football
what they thought of the Soccerade match, right?
Whereas in boxing,
misfits, for some reason,
become legitimised to the point where boxing trainers
and fighters have been asked,
what do you think about the Misfits event?
which is kind of insulting to them
because it's like going,
oh, you know this little side show thing?
Can we have your take on it?
I think that's a bit mad.
Because the thing I think is actually
the boxing itself is,
I think when you've got a situation
where two people are having a body hits only competition,
which is what happens in, you know,
don't hit the face, you're not allowed to hit the face,
which becomes slightly ridiculous.
You've almost got to lean into the ridiculous.
And I think then it becomes saying
that's more WWE and then it's entertainment.
And if I'm honest with you, I sat and watched it.
I thought, you know, Jordan McGahn was incredible to big the fight up
and spend the whole week just, you know, building this whole thing up
and actually took it kind of for what it is.
I mean, I'll play the bad guy.
Rapper slash influencer Jordan McCann had a fight with Ibitha Fine on.
What the fuck is going on?
But then you lean into the ridiculous, right?
Right, right, right.
So you're saying, because that's so far that way.
Yeah.
What my point was, when it started and you KSI to whatever you thought of him as a boxoff,
or even Jake Paul.
But they take it seriously.
Yeah, that's what I mean.
And Tommy Fury,
there were people,
Eddie Hawley,
you know,
and I love Eddie Hall.
He's,
they're out training,
right?
But then this last event
was seemingly like,
oh, this is like,
this is what I mean about,
Jordan McGahn took it for what it was.
And also,
I kind of found it quite hilarious
his rant against influencers.
Yeah.
And like,
it was on a one-man crusade
to take down influencers.
And I was like,
oh, that's a battle I can get with.
Yeah.
But I felt that,
his actual,
his way he took,
and to be fair to him,
even like,
you know,
big stacks,
I'm not a big fan
of big stacks,
but I'm like,
it was like,
it was like WWE.
It was like this whole thing
is played up to the cameras
because it doesn't really matter
about the fight
and actually what the fight
includes,
because you've got a battle here
that is done with body shots only.
Yeah.
So no one's really here
to watch great boxing.
That's never been a...
Hold on it.
So which bits were body shots only?
This big stacks fight
was body shots only.
You couldn't hit in the face.
Right.
Because essentially what you're paying for
is a fight
and Weatherspoons.
You're,
there's no,
aside the Tommy Fury and Eddie Hall fight,
which was as close as you get to an actual fight,
and,
you know,
I thought Eddie had trained well and Tommy used the ring well.
I thought at least that was,
oh, this is,
this resembles,
this is a boxing fight,
this is a fight.
Everything below that felt slightly,
just a bit whack.
And then you go,
well, then make it whack.
That's what it is.
It's just silly.
It's just,
you're there to see big characters
and they're all big characters
face off and be silly,
But I think if you're actually having the fact that someone could whack someone in the head and it go wrong, that's where it starts getting a bit of a weird thing.
Yeah.
Yeah, I thought it was mad.
But look, if anybody, if misfits are interested in me.
Who would you want to fight most?
I don't want to fight anybody.
Miss fits.
Oh, come on.
There must be someone.
No, I've got no desire to fight anybody.
Come on.
You want a miss fits.
You want a missus fight.
You know the thing that upset me?
Not upset me.
I think the misfits thing is fine.
Like two people who've become big online or whatever
fighting each other, fine.
I think that's cool.
And I think there's an audience for that,
and I'm never going to begrudge people making money
however they make money.
The thing that I found more heartbreaking
is when legitimate Xboxers fight YouTubers or whatever.
Yeah.
When I'm saying this,
I'm thinking about the Jake Paul Mike Tyson fight right now.
I'm happy for Mike Tyson.
That's not like a...
I know, I know, that's a separate thing.
But I'm talking about this is a different phenomenon, right?
but Jake Paul I think does take it seriously
and I think look he has got
if I'm being honest I think we can all agree
he's got a helmet-esque vibe about him
but he worked hard at trying to
train to be a boxer
admittedly with the resources in time that most
people wouldn't have to do that right
and Mike Tyson gets a payday
the thing that I find upsetting about it
is that Mike Tyson and look
he's a controversial figure but let's just
take Mike Tyson as a boxer.
That's somebody
who's come out of retirement to sort of
just
dirty his hands with this like
fucking weird.
I think the situation there is one that
I think financially he was
probably needed it
which is sad to say because I think of
the controversial sort of side of him
but also I think
you know having
been a you know watch as a
fight have been a big fan but also like read a lot about him
and how his life was, you know, manipulated
and, you know, was awful things that he did.
And I think the fact is that he was in a situation
where he needed that money.
I actually think anti-Joshua quashed that thing
quite, you know, quite resoundly,
sort of taking Jake Paul out of the equation.
I actually think...
I mean, what did you think of Anthony Joshua fighting Jake Paul?
I actually thought, number one,
it's financially secured anti-Joshua's life
for, you know, generationally.
But also, I actually think it would be.
put a pin in the cushion as to,
is this guy a professional,
good enough to be a professional fighter
going up against what is a very,
you know, an incredible heavyweight.
And actually he was miles off it.
I think he ran around the ring and he,
you know, it was,
it was two different, people would do it essentially two different sports.
Yeah, yeah.
So I think, um, but, look,
but also I do think that there's a world where,
and it's, I love WD for the spectators,
and then from my own history with you,
I sat and watched Misfits and all the stuff around it,
I actually quite enjoyed.
I was like, it's just fucking insane.
And it's mad.
and it's stupid and it's silly and it's...
But even WWE is mad, but those are professionals.
Yeah.
And then in this country...
You are, but you're paying.
I know, but we've got...
Comedians have a go at the rest.
There's the wrestling, isn't there?
Yeah, yeah.
So, I don't know.
The whole thing's a bit of a...
It's a bit of a mad one.
But I think that when people that are in actual boxing
get asked about what their take is on the misfits fights,
I think that's a bit bananas.
But that would be better if it was like four drunk blokes
just going...
Yeah, I thought he was going to knock him out.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because that's what you're watching.
You're watching a pub fight.
So who do you want to fight?
I don't think.
It's not something I'd like to do, really.
If you had to?
I don't know.
If they offered you a lot of money,
say there was like somebody that said,
I want to fight the guy from Wonka.
Like, they've got some vendetta.
There's some celebrity who's
got a vendetta against the Wonka movie
and he decided that you're...
I've got to step up for the whole of Wonka
for Olivia and Timothy
and Matt Lucas
Matt Bainter
Who would you like that to be?
I don't know
I'd...
Number one, you'd have to be someone
of my size
for to make it
like a thing.
I don't know.
Imagine Jermaine Clement hated Wonka.
But that would be a weird mirror like
he's not...
How tall is Jermaine Clement?
It's quite tall.
I don't think he's as tall as tall as yet.

Some of your favorite, you just know me something.
No, no, no, no.
What another one of your favorite things?
King Gary?
We've put clips up recently, right?
There's another one of your favorite things.
Action team?
The curse.
None of them are available anymore on streaming services.
That's good news.
If you do want to check them out, tough shit.
Sadly, so true.
B, yeah, but I get loads of people who have never seen this ship from around the world now,
watching it on Facebook or Instagram, he'll go,
oh my god
Germain Clement got fucking ugly
is this Germain Clement
Nobody said
Germain Clement got fucking ugly
I've had that
I've had
Has this guy eaten
Germain Clement and Matt Berry
But it's quite a lot
The Germain Clement one is insane
To the point
It's you're like
I actually think
Because I think
Jermaine's a very handsome man
And I don't think
I look like him
Enough
I'm
You've got it
You've had people said to you
Yeah people say this to me
I had a thing where, like, I saw Trevor Noah talking about something like this.
The other day, there was a guy who was on this morning, and he has had, he's an Asian guy,
and he had a really big facial disfigurement.
And somebody, and they, like, they constructed this part of his face,
and he has to wear it on his, like, because he's got like a cavity in his face.
Like the phantom of the opera?
Yeah, almost.
He's, like, really disfigured, but it's like a, it's a prosthetic sort of thing that attaches to
his face, right?
Yeah.
So,
I got tagged in that
post, in a comment on that post.
Oh my God.
Going, is this Romesh Rangas
brother, right?
Okay, about this guy.
Why a brother?
Because, I guess, because of my eye
and the guys.
Yeah, but why would it be your brother?
Fuck knows.
So, like, but as a joke,
right?
Yeah, it's a bad joke.
So then, I've replied to that comment
because I thought, this is like,
I think, I was like,
what the fuck have you said that for?
So then I replied going,
um, banter's not.
for everyone, right? That's all I said.
Yeah, yeah. He then
sent me a private message
saying, I'm really sorry
if I offended you with that message.
I was trying to be funny.
I didn't think, if I offended you.
It was like really sweet message. I'm really sorry if I offended you.
I didn't mean to you. You're one of my favorite comedians.
And I'd be gutted if you took it the wrong way.
And then I just said, don't worry about it.
Because don't worry.
This happens like daily to it to me.
Yeah, but, well, it's interesting that, right?
Because when I first saw the comment,
I just thought that's somebody that doesn't like me.
When I read that comment,
I thought,
somebody that doesn't like me
and wants to have a dig at me.
So they've stuck this thing.
So even though it was a joke,
I thought it was like a mean-spirited joke.
It's like somebody hates me,
this guy looks like,
this is Romish Rangas brother, right?
And then when I read the message,
he was so sweet and lovely and was a fan.
And then I thought there's so many comments that you read
that you go,
this person hates me.
and actually that's not what's going on.
Obviously, what I don't want to do
is every single person
that comments about me go,
can I just, I just love to get some background
and some clarity on this.
But it's mad, isn't it?
Well, I had one the other day,
but this guy, and it was like,
he'd done it at three in the morning.
That's always a good sign,
but I.
Yeah, and it was one of the things
that was one of the videos
we put out from this,
and he went,
scum, you're fucking scum.
He wrote like,
like quite like that, basically.
And then tag me,
anything that was on my stories that day, he just wrote scum.
So I just replied, oh, you're a fucking idiot.
And then he lent me this really long message just, you know,
he'd been in a really dark place, he apologised, similar.
Yeah.
For really bad, you know, I like your stuff.
You know, da-da-da-da.
What did you say that?
What was a clip?
Do you remember?
I can't remember what the clip was.
But he was very, it was very like, I don't know if there was something else going on.
He was very angry.
Do you what I mean?
And then I was like, and he was like, look,
I was like, bro, like, whatever.
Do you know what I mean?
He's like, I don't remember sending that.
I've been a bit of a bad place
and I'm not going to get into the personal sort of side of this for him.
But you know what I mean you're like,
you look at that and you think,
oh, he's just had a reaction to something he's seen.
And animosity and anger is the way that he's dealt with it.
And if I'm honest with you, I was like,
I woke up to that and it's like,
I'm getting ready to go school
and someone's calling you a scum, scum.
And you're like, so I'm like, you're a fucking idiot.
Yeah.
I'm like, because I'm like, it's...
Well, you don't know the context
that would be sent to you.
then you're like fuck you basically yeah but also I'm like if someone said something
that you can you know there's banter or something you can be misconstrued
it's very hard to misconstrue being called scum or a scumb bag um so anyway and then he
you know so i was like the man i'm sorry to say you've been for a bad time but so you know
this stuff everything resonates everything has a well has to be culpable stuff you know what
mean people say stuff and it can be misconstitutional that's the danger of the world we live in now
with social media.
And I know we go on about this
and people talk about it all the time.
But it's destructive.
It's a really destructive tool
to be, to constantly,
even when things,
you get nice things,
you can misconstrue that
or you can overly inflate
your own ego or whatever.
It's a very dangerous tool to have.
And I think,
and the weirdest one I think actually see
now, and you know,
I know it's like a great,
you know,
the age limit being changed
for social media,
users. I do think that we have to come into a place where you go with social media that actually
when you join, I think like a passport or anything, you have to go, this is me. Because the amount of
times now bots and stuff and you see stuff funneled in, people can say quite dark stuff. I've had some
people like, you know, where you cross a line and you think, oh, well, no, this isn't, you know,
their scum one was one thing, but I've had stuff where you're like, oh, this is, this is just a really
dark, threatening stuff. And this person has put themselves behind it since you're farwall where
they're not culpable for anything.
But that stuff has, you know, for me or for whoever gets sent this stuff.
And that's not just about where we're in public eye.
That's about people in everyday life who have people, animosity or threats or any kind
of fucking weird sexual deviant.
And those people aren't culpable for that.
And I think there's got to be a time.
I don't want to have gone on this as a ramp, but there has to be a thing.
No, no, but where we're picking it up.
And, yeah.
No, I totally agree with you.
I think, like, you know, people send these comments
and they think the people that they're tagging or whatever, aren't.
I mean, that guy that I'm talking about, he thought he was making a funny joke.
Yeah.
Right?
So I'm not really.
This is not the same thing.
But I think people, like, think that a human is not seeing it.
Or the other thing is I think you're probably not looking at it yourself.
Because they think you've probably got a team that's looking at that stuff, right?
And they don't realize what they're doing.
And also, like you said, they don't think, they just don't think there's any real ramifications.
It's like, I'm pissed off about this.
You said something I don't like, so you're scum.
It happens a lot.
You know, I've had more than one death threat
because there's some joke I've said.
Yeah.
You know, I remember talking about, on Ranganation,
I talked about the Black Lives Matter stuff,
and I talked about people that were sort of countering that
and what I thought of that.
And this guy said, message me,
and he said, I'm going to find out where you live,
and I'm going to end your life for the stuff you said.
Like, proper, like, mad shit.
And then I looked on his profile,
and he's like a fucking family man.
Do you know what I mean?
Yeah, yeah.
It's wild.
But then also it's like that is the thing of like how many people or like that,
when I read those and you look into someone or you just look at their profile,
because what the fuck is that about that?
That's so angry.
Like, and you look at their, and seemingly they're in quite a normal life or they've got like,
you know, pictures of them and their cats or their dogs and you know.
But what is the anger?
And this is the mad thing, right?
I don't know why I've just, have you seen the Mother Royal Conj yet?
No.
Oh my God.
the best
it's on eye player
it's the best documentary
I've watched in
five years
Asian provocateur
that was an documentary
that was an amazing show
this is incredible
I can't
it's one of the
best fucking things I've seen
so me and Catherine
my mum and dad
watched it
and my mum was like
oh you have to watch this
it's incredible
and I was like
okay cool
so we sat down on Monday night
to go
all let's just have a little
don't read too much
because it's like
because it will ruin
it for you. Going blind.
Okay.
So we were like, I sit down Monday.
We put Grace to bed.
We have our dinner together.
Sit down at 8 o'clock and I was like,
let's just watch an episode tonight and we can watch it through the week.
We watched all three hours.
Like back to back.
We were just complete, I've not had that for a documentary for years.
We're like, this is fucking incredible.
And it's so fucking weird and so dark.
It's one of it.
And it's brilliantly made.
It's like so fucking good.
You have to watch this.
And then we'll talk about it.
Okay.
Look forward to,
something for you to look forward to, guys.
Yeah.
I was talking about that.
People get in touch if you've seen it.
Amazing.
One thing I'd like to share with you before we're in the episode.
I have a really weird bum.
You've got a really weird bum?
My hips, age, man.
The hips are just brutalising me.
I have, actually, I have been hitting the gym a bit.
Yeah, yeah.
I can see you.
You know what?
Your forearms are looking bigger.
Oh, thanks.
Yeah.
unfortunately I'm also getting older
I overdid it on the old
leg press
I've done something to my sciatic nerve
what you're lower back
no like along the
I think it's up the side of my leg
I cannot believe how
just embarrassing
I find I just
I'm limping around
I'm finding it painful to have a shit
getting into getting in and out of bed
I can't do without making a noise now
It's not getting any better.
No.
It's just embarrassing.
Are you doing like...
I took it for granted.
Yeah, we all have.
You could do exercise and it wouldn't have a long...
We've all done.
Oh my God.
There's another thing.
Yeah, mate, it's the savage some of those ages.
By the way, I was watching a thing.
And Stan, Stan the man, was telling me that at our age, the three or four sets of 10, 12, is not the way to go.
What's the way to go?
Two sets to your max.
Do two.
sets of your max weight.
Yeah.
See as far as you can go, whether that's six to ten or whatever,
and then go 20% down in weights and then do the same thing.
That's four sets you're talking about now.
No, no, no, no, you do two.
So you go one set of your max weight.
Yeah.
So I don't know, whatever you're, what do you do curls?
Whatever the maximum is on the machine.
Okay.
Whatever the biggest dumbbells.
Yeah, yeah.
So when you're doing your arm, what's the biggest?
Where are you doing your hammer curls?
You're doing like 50KG.
Yeah, 50KK.
Yeah.
So you do.
six and then you drop it by 20%
which you're a
mathematician here. 40kG. Yeah so you go
to the 40kG after and you do as many as you can.
Right okay. And then that's the way of getting
better for muscle. Yeah, all right. Apparently.
Is that what you've been doing?
Yeah, a little bit, yeah. I mean, you're best friends with the
PTA is quite useful, isn't it? Yeah, he's very good as well.
I mean, I wouldn't say, he probably wouldn't too much pride in that
the way I look with my top off the way. What do you mean? You look great.
You're fucking wonderful.
You don't you look like?
You're ready to move into your house in Florida.
Yeah.
In cocoon.
The old man in cocoon.
Oh, you see there's a younger man who just moved in?
Tall, fella.
Must be about 55.
Bit of a young and some fresh meat done moved in.
Well, he must be.
Oh, he got herself a world cutting on him not in far, Cap-aw.
Looking forward to being all over that.
Like biscuits on great.
Okay, Tom, it's about that time.
Dorton Cruey was a young boy who had aspirations of incredible things.
When people would turn to Dorton Cree and say, Doughton, what do you want to do?
He's like, I want to be an astronaut.
I want to fly to the moon.
Everyone said, Doughton, Croy, you have got some dreams, son, but dreams are above your expectations.
But Doughton never, ever wanted to give up on his dream.
So when he left school, he'd hang around NASA and all the other space places.
And people would say, what are you doing here, son?
And Dalton Crew would be, I want to be an astronaut north.
I want to go to the moon.
And they were like, you don't just become an astronaut or for a night.
So Dalton got himself a job cleaning at NASA.
And he cleaned for all the astronauts.
And he helped feed the dogs and the monkeys that would go up in the spaceship.
And he turned to the monkeys and the monkeys would be leaping about.
And he was like, how come that damn monkey going to space but I can't?
And then, well, Dorn Kruy, you're got to be just about as stupid as a monkey if you think we're going to send you up in a spaceship.
Dorn Kruh is heartbroken by this.
Slowly but surely, Dought and Kruy stopped dreaming about going to the moon.
People asked what Doughton Kruy wanted out of life after that, and he said, car, would sure be great to see the Mets win the World Series.
Aspirations started to fade away, too.
And before he knew it, Doughton Kruy was just a cleaner at NASA.
And when people asked about what he wanted to do in the future,
he was like, well, I'm just about lucky enough to get this job.
And then came a shiny day.
One of the astronauts flying to the moon.
Looking forward to this.
In a group of six, got a tummy bug.
Everyone was standing around and going,
we need six people to fly this goddamn spaceship up to the moon.
Everyone was like, we ain't got no six men around.
Nobody knows enough about spaceships.
And Dalton Cray said, I know about spaceships.
God damn hell, heck, I cleaned them every day for the last 25 years.
Everyone started laughing.
Someone said, oh, God, Dalton, you got to be about as stupid as a monkey,
think we're going to send you up to space.
And Dilton said, I ain't as stupid as a monkey, but goddamn, I know how to clean the spaceship.
So they got stored a space suit and a helmet.
And I said, well, on your head be it.
And all the astronauts went,
God, you're not going to send up Dawn.
He's just a cleaner.
But halfway up to the moon, things were really messy.
And people were like, God damn, where's that goddamn cleaner?
I said, ain't you seen?
He's at the front of the spaceship flying it.
Jesus Christ.
And they were, what do you mean?
It's like, he knew how to fly in it.
He knew how to fly the spaceship.
Turns out every day that Dalton had been there,
he'd been watching the monkey.
You've been watching the other astronauts who do their thing.
Actually, the old...
I'm going to change that.
On the way out to the moon, the spaceship couldn't be cleaner.
Everyone was like, darling, you're doing a hell of a job,
but you're just a cleaner, boy, you're just a goddamn cleaner.
On the way back to Earth, all of the astronauts got diarrhea.
There was a tummy bug that had sort of like slowly gone around,
all of them apart from Dalton, who didn't eat at the staff canteen
because he wasn't allowed.
as they're flying back.
Someone's like, God damn, my ass is eating itself.
And someone else is like, I'm going to die from this.
I surely am.
Who's going to drive the spaceship?
And Dalton turned around and said, I'll drive it.
And they said, how do you know how to drive a spaceship?
And he said, well, I spent the last 25 years here watching goddamn monkeys drive a spaceship.
And people say I'm as stupid as a monkey, but I can fly a spaceship like one.
And when that spaceship came into land,
everyone started cheering,
as we all do when spaceship's land.
Everyone was like,
that got to be the best landing we ever seen.
And the spaceman all came off
and they're like holding their tummy.
Oh God, they're like, who landed it?
That was perfect.
And their little voice said,
I did.
Never give up on your dreams.
And that is the story of doing creepy.
NASA, really good.
I mean, NASA all exclusively recruiting
from one very small area
in the south of America.
And Tom, you've sort of highlighted the fact that you think the monkeys that went up to space were actually piloting the craft.
But a real valuable lesson for us all.
Never give up in your dreams, guys.
