Do you set aside a daily time that is reserved for communication with the Spirit of God? The prophet Jeremiah records the interest of YHVH in communicating to his people. Listen to YHVH's tender heart, Jeremiah 44:4;“Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.”Rising early. The first thing on the mind of YHVH is his people. His purpose and goal is to raise a people to do His will in the earth. Can you hear him? ***79: Jesus Speaks About The Coming Of The KingdomLuke 17:20-37The Pharisees asked Jesus when the kingdom of God would come. He answered them, saying:            “The kingdom of God cometh not with observation. Neither shall they say, ‘Lo here!’ or, ‘Lo there!’ for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”            Then Jesus said to his disciples:            “The days will come when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. And they shall say to you, ‘See here;’ or, ‘See there.’ Go not after them, nor follow them. For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under Heaven, shineth unto the other part under Heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they bundled; but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from Heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. In that day, he which shall be on the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away; and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.Remember Lot’s wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.”            The disciples asked:            “Where, Lord?”            Jesus replied:            “Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.”

Don Harris, your host, and we're walking our way through the red words. There's plenty left. We're in chapter 79 of our book. Jesus speaks about the coming of the kingdom. The Pharisees asked Jesus when the kingdom of God would come.

He answered them saying, The kingdom of God would come. He answered them, saying, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation. Neither shall they say, Lo, here, or lo, there, for behold, the kingdom of God is within you. This scripture, both portions of this scripture, have been, well, they've been made into points of contention for some people. There are some who take very, very literally

and exclusively the kingdom of God is within you and say that we can find all the answers we need within ourselves. And some people accuse, well, accuse me of saying that when I tell people that meditation needs to be a part of the Christian's life. More important than prayer. And people, you know, they gasp and they think that's terrible, that's horrible. How can you say such a thing? Because our answers

aren't within us well if god is within you then your answers are within you but it's the the error comes in when people think that their experiences, their intelligence, their education, their ability to think, their higher IQ or whatever they have, that within them, if they'll just consider these things, that these answers are within us. Well, that's all real cushy and real nice and everything, but the truth is the heart of man is desperately wicked. Who can know it? Well, if you do not have the luxury of having the seed of Christ within you, you're sunk. You can look within yourself all you want,

and you're going to come up with some really stupid answers that are going to look really intelligent and i think that the human race has proven this over and over again for many many years so what is the difference what uh what is that um what's the dividing line between meditation spending time before the lord listening for his voice and uh the the other end of that spectrum to the the as people say the kingdom of god is within you so we need to look within uh what is it the child within uh some people channel their uncle or something and they have spirit guides and all kinds of stuff like that and um you know you can get mad at those people if you want to as christians but we did that to those four people we told them that when people die they don't really die you know they're not in the grave awaiting the resurrection no no no

they're floating around out here somewhere they're up in heaven walking around with jesus and and you know we we have just made up all this stuff that the scriptures do not they don't corroborate any of those kinds of doctrines the bible teaches that when a person dies that their body goes in the grave and the very thing that gave that life body goes in the grave, and the very thing that gave that life body, which is the Spirit of God, goes back to God who gave it. And that body lays there in that grave, awaiting the resurrection. That's the next conscious thought that person is going to have, is after either the resurrection of the just,

or, God forbid, the resurrection of the damned. But that's the next conscious thought. But we have taught people that there's spirits flying around. And my uncle, you know, he's still alive. You know, he speaks to me. Well, that gives you the creeps, but you teach your little boy that his grandpa is up in heaven watching him get a home run really is that the smartest thing you could tell your little child i don't know i don't know how smart that is you're just

teaching them things that aren't necessarily true you're teaching them that his grandpa is watching him uh you know i mean like you know little boy mom, you know, does grandpa see me when I'm on the toilet? I mean, is somebody closing the door so his grandpa can't see it? Does your ex-wife, not ex-wife, I'm sure, but does your, I mean, now that you're a widow and you've taken a new wife, is your previous wife watching the whole honeymoon thing? I mean, how much can they see and how much can't they see? You can't have this both ways. You can't play these games, you know, having spirits watching over us. But we did this. We caused these problems by teaching people that when you die,

you don't really die. You know, their spirit is with us forever. Well, you know, spook me out, man. Come on. Why don't we just teach what Jesus taught? Why don't we teach what the scriptures teach? When you die, you go to sleep, and you wait for the resurrection. We don't need to do that.

So when people look within, they're not looking for their Aunt Hattie or their Uncle Frank to tell them something or to, you know, to guide them through the spirit world or any of the rest of this hokum that has nothing to do with Christianity. Pure paganism and spiritualism and stuff that we don't have any business messing with. One is your teacher. One's your guide. And that's all the scriptures actually have to say. So you look within, what are you seeing in there? You're seeing your own brain. You know, I challenge

people all the time. You think you can sit quiet for 15 minutes and not think about anything? Give it a try. See if you can do it. People who listen to this broadcast and they're trying to make changes in their life i get the emails from them and say man i tried to sit quietly for you know you talk about sitting quietly before the lord for an hour or two i couldn't make it 10 minutes my mind went crazy how am i ever going to hear from the Lord? I said, you just did. The Lord just told you. Your mind is out of control. I had one guy say to me, I can't believe that I can actually do my job with this brain. I can't believe that I should even be trusted to drive a car. My brain is absolutely out of control. How do I control it? Well, that's what that daily thing is all about. Just to be quiet

and to, you know, to observe your thinking and observe your thoughts and listen for the voice of God. He'll help you through this. I know it gets discouraging. I've had some people who've tried meditation. They say, I just fall asleep. I mean, when I get quiet, I fall asleep. I said, hey, there's your first revelation from God. Well, what's that? You're too tired. You've got too much going on in life. You're not getting enough sleep. And so it's an interesting journey, and it's not something you're going to start this afternoon and be really really good at by next week but we do need to be quiet before the lord instead of listing and and and barking out a big list of of things that are going on in our life like you know the very people who believe that god is omniscient he knows everything he knows the end

from the beginning then why are you spending an hour telling him what's going on in your life and telling him what you need you go to jesus look at the red ink what's jesus say my father knows you have need of all these things and so none of this stuff makes sense if you want it to make sense you're going to have to do what the scriptures tell you. No more, no less. Quit adding your paganism and your spiritualism to it. This can be a very real experience. It's no wonder atheists are running as fast as they can away from the church. Alright, so he says the kingdom of God

does not come with observation another huge problem in our modern day is uh you know oh we're going to talk about planet x or we want to talk about what was it elenin that star that was supposed to hit the earth and destroy us asteroids you know it's it's plotted out it's going to happen on this date the mayan calendar the mayan calendar it says you know this is very important i know you know you don't know about this but i'm going to help you with this the mayan calendar says that we're exactly when the world's going to end oh really when is that 2012 how come nobody's talking about the Mayan calendar now it's and if it's not the Mayan calendar it's going to be some other calendar it's going to

be something look the kingdom of God doesn't come with observation well are you are you advancing that we should be that we should be ignorant of these things no absolutely not matter of fact totally the contrary when a person is in touch with the lord god when he's receiving his instructions from god himself when he's being quiet before the lord do you really think that this afternoon at three o'clock that the world is going to come to an end and people that are sitting before the lord and asking him and opening themselves for his voice do you think that he's just not going to tell him oh I forgot or oh gee is that today I mean really what do you think is going to happen there that he's not going to tell him do you remember the story with Abraham when when

you know we have the Godhead having a meeting about destroying four cities of the plain? And he says, should we do this and not tell Abraham, our friend? No, we're going to go down there and tell our friend Abraham. Isn't that exactly what happened? Well, so if you think that is ignorance, not paying attention to the stars in the trajectory of asteroids or you know who the latest and greatest antichrist is going to be and you know what's going on in the world and how you know these 10 nations that are going to try to amalgamate or or separate or you know which little toe of the Nebuchadnezzar vision is stone and

which one is iron and what country they refer to and prophecy this and prophecy that. This is why Seventh-day Adventists can come to your town and have a prophecy conference and fill the house. That's how come they do it. That's why they do it. Prophecy, man, that sells. Everybody wants to know the future. Jesus says, you're wasting your time. The kingdom of God doesn't come with observation.

He goes on to say, the other thing that's going to happen in the end times, lo, he is here, lo, he is there. Remember he says, 24th chapter of Matthew, he's telling us the way these things are going to be. He says, when they say that, don't go. It ain't me. I'm not there.

When I come, everybody's going to know that I've come. It's not going to be a secret. So, you know, secret rapture, I can't't find it can't even find the concept in here jesus is saying it doesn't come with observation and they're going to say low here and low there and uh he says let me tell you something the kingdom of god you want to know about the kingdom of god you want to know about the kingdom of God? You want to know about the coming of the kingdom? You want to know the physical kingdom that's going to be set up on this earth? The spiritual kingdom that is set up on this earth already? It's all inside you.

It's all in there. It's not in the doors of the Bible college. It's not in between the covers of your favorite book. It's not sitting in hours and hours and hours in front of a television and learning all this stuff about prophecy and what this means and what that means and what this symbolizes and what that symbolizes. Now, forget that. Just forget that.

Your duty on this earth is to be better today than you were yesterday. As soon as you can accomplish that, then perhaps you can play with some interesting things in the scriptures. But until then, no, no. Really, what are you going to do with the information? Really, what are you going to do with it? Even if the Lord appeared to you and said, I'm coming on the 14th day of the seventh month. Do you really think that he's coming on July 14th?

Really? Well, that's because you don't know what the seventh month is. Because you've never looked at the calendar of the lord you don't even speak the same language as he does he knows what the seventh month is you don't even if he were to tell you all right let's just say forget all that let's just say that he tells you i'm coming tomorrow at two how is that going to change your life what are you going to do to make yourself rapture ready if you if you're one who believes the rapture how are you going to make yourself how are you going to put yourself into a position or a condition that is different than you are right now if it's a week from now or two days from now or 20 years from now well these are good questions let's just say

you did get a revelation let's just say you do it know exactly when it's going to happen so what are you going to do about it you know the truth of the matter is and if you walk away with nothing with what i'm telling you this you ought to you ought to gather gather to yourself and make it a part of your um your thinking for the rest of your life if Jesus is coming two hours from now before this broadcast is over or it's going to come two years from now or 20 years from now or 200 years from now. The way that you, the condition that you should be in on that day differs not one whit

from how you should be today, right now. Not one whit. It doesn't, there is nothing you can do except work toward the end of your life and be every day who and what you should be. As obedient as you can be,

as righteous as you can be, as sanctified and separate from the world as you can be, it doesn't make any difference. It doesn't make a bit of difference. You're not going to get that way before he comes if you're not getting that way right now. And so if that's a condition that you want to be in when your rapture, whatever you believe in, happens,

or the end of the world, or the coming of Christ, or whether you believe it's the Antichrist that's going to show up or whatever your idea of end time is. That person that you think you should be when that happens, that's the person you should be now. There is no preparation for this other than the daily preparation and the desire to be different today than I was yesterday. I want to be different last week than I am this week. I want to be different today than i was yesterday i want to be different last

week than i am this week i want to be better and so you push for it and you strive for it let all this other stuff just happen let these let these profiteering preachers do their little prophecy seminars and sell their books and tapes to the people that don't know what i'm telling you now because you can know all the prophets you can know the date you can know the time what's that do for your little grandkid what does that how does that help him you know nothing helps him better than a grandpa who knows where he stands with god who has character who has consistency in his life and responsibility and he's honest and he's true and he's good and he's pure and he's wholesome that's what'll help your little grandkids that's what'll help your children Children, they don't need, all this stuff that we play with and we want to know, I want to know, I want to know,

you want to expand your mind? Look, your mind doesn't need to be expanded. Your spirit needs to be expanded. You need to open it up enough to take in our Heavenly Father and His instruction on a daily basis. Only one way to do that. I've told you over and over again. Keep His commandments.

Don't disobey your conscience. Take time every day to hear the voice of God. Other stuff go by the way. And Jesus said to His disciples, The days come when you shall desire to see one of the days of Son of Man And Jesus said to his disciples, For as the lightning that lighteth out of one part under heaven and shineth unto the other part under heaven, so shall the Son of Man be in his day. Here is the universal appearance of Jesus Christ to the entire world. The universal appearance is depicted here with the word uh lightning and

what i want you to see is is that the lightning here is not lightning like the the electrical the static electrical spark that we all see and say oh there's lightning it says the it's the lightning um and i mean just you know consider this for a second you've got i mean i don't know if you've ever seen a bolt of lightning appear in the east and go all the way over to the west. But I have seen the lightening, in other words, the sun rising, I have seen it come up in the east and go all the way over to the west. And it's not a flash in time. You can have a thousand people standing here, just jammer jawing and talking or singing or playing or eating or whatever else and directly boom

Ask around how many people saw that? About two or three might have it was pretty fast and they didn't see it Jesus is saying no my coming is going to be universal around the whole earth It's gonna be like the Sun coming up this isn't going to be a secret i'm not going to appear in somebody's closet or on their bedroom wall or over their bed at night in a in a projection on the screen or something i'm not going to appear in a tortilla i'm not going you know it's not going to be some image or some idol or some lo he's he's here, lo, he's there. No, no, no.

When I show up, everybody's going to know this. It's going to be obvious as the sun rising. You want to try to hide that? And what if I said, oh, you know, come over to my house. The sun's over here. Well, it's over here too. Jesus is trying to show that when the Son of Man shows up, it's going to be a universal thing, not a secret thing. He says, so also shall the Son of Man be in his day. This is the day of the lord his return but first he must suffer many things and be

rejected of this generation and as it isn't as it is as it was in the days of noah so shall it be also in the days of the son of man you want to think about that a moment see if the word see if the number eight floats through your mind eight souls being saved why in the world would jesus use the days of noah why did he do that because the entire world knew it was condemned and the entire world couldn't care less they did eat and they drank and they married wives and they were given in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ark and the flood

came and destroyed all them. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot they did eat and they drank and they bought and they sold and they drank and they bought and they sold. And they planted and they builded. But the same day that the Lord went and destroyed. And it was the same day that the Lord went and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. In that day when he shall be upon.

He which shall be upon the housetop and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to get it and take it away. And he that's in the field, let him not likewise return back. Remember Lot's wife? Okay, I added the question mark. He said, remember Lot's wife. And what was Lot's wife deal she turned around and

went back now let me tell you a little point of interest actually i'm i'm moving away i'm moving too fast i want you to see that as it was in the days of lot as it was in the days of noah what do these things have in common they They all knew about the destruction. It was all obvious that the destruction was at hand. And nobody did anything except what they did every other day of their life. There was essentially no difference in their life whatsoever. Brent, I don't know if you think that if you find the day that Jesus is returning that there's going to be some big change or that you're going to start a worldwide revival and

millions and millions of people are going to come to Christ, but I'm going to tell you, it's not going to happen. It's not going to happen. You think your prophecy conference is going to do it? Listen, you know what Abraham says? You can't accomplish that if you were to raise somebody from the dead. Do you know what Abraham said? They got the Old Testament. They got Moses and the prophets. Let them hear them.

Well, I don't know, Father Abraham. They need a miracle. miracle miracle won't do it your prophecy conference ain't going to do it your declaration of the time that the jesus comes back or the time that any crisis is revealed that's not going to do it well what's going to do it people answering the call within themselves answer that call by keeping the commandments of God, listening to the Lord every day, and not offending your conscience.

Do what you're supposed to do. So here I want you to see that he says, he that is in the field, don't let him turn back. Now what is this? Is this a matter of protection? It it could be is it a matter of timing yeah i think it's got a part it's got something to do with it but do you realize that well i've been in sodom it's a mess um it's just pile ash pile after ash pile um of uh pile of ruins where sulfur balls have been falling out of the sky and burning and they just reduced the limestone buildings there to gypsum ash. All the wood, there's no wood,

there's nothing there but gypsum ash. As far as you can see, big, huge piles of it. And it's frightening to look at. But I want you to know that every once in a while, you walk up on a little pile, and people who know more about it than I do say, if you analyze the minerals in that pile, you'll find out that that was an animal and in some cases a human being.

What is that? It's a mineral pile. That's all that was left. When this place went up man it went up like an instantaneous blast furnace. And that used to be a human being right there or at least some people are saying that because you can tell there was a difference in this pile and all the other piles out there and you're wondering what in the world is this this might have been a whole group of people huddled here together and they

were just consumed ask people who do cremations and such it's consumed to what essentially minerals and if you're going to put it in old english and old vernacular salt so when we find that this this uh lot's wife was turned into a pillar of salt how many of you have seen it in your sunday school literature it was just like a statue of a woman and made out of salt right some people just make a corinthian column a white corinthian column and say that used to be her no i'm telling you it wasn't a pillar of salt it was a pile of salt What I'm saying is in these end days, there's no time to play around. This thing is going to happen.

It's going to happen fast, and the whole world is going to know about it. Don't become a pile of salt. Listen to your father. Let him tell you when these things are going to happen. Let him warn you.
