Words of Jesus Podcast - The Coming of Christ Will Not Be Secret
Episode Date: December 20, 2024Our belief in Jesus compels certain actions. Not compulsion but the desire to return the boundless love of our Savior and King. Obedience to the commandments in stone and the ones written in our... heart is the reasonable service of devoted children. Our desire is to imitate our Lord; to forgive as He forgives, for He forgives as we forgive. Acts of benevolence and charity are the sacrifices we bring. We love our God by loving His children (if you have done it even to the least of these, ye have done it unto me.) He notices. Our righteous actions gain the attention of our God. "Watch" he says to avoid being overtaken. The Spirit of God will reveal His plans to His faithful. Take this time seriously. Pay attention. Make sure you have quietness in life - daily times of introspection; that you may be found worthy to escape; worthy to stand before the Holy and Righteous Son of Man.***Chapter 102: Jesus Speaks About The Coming JudgmentMatthew 24:29-51; Mark 13:24-37; Luke 21:25-36JESUS CONTINUED his discourse on the Mount of Olives, saying: “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from Heaven, and the powers of the Heavens shall be shaken. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in Heaven. And then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, from one end of Heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree: ‘When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh.’ So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, ‘This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.’ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of Heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until that day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. “Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.Therefore be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. “For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore (for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at evening, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning) lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, ‘Watch.’ “And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch

Think Red Ink Ministries presents
The Words of Jesus Series with Don C. Harris
Hello friends and welcome once again to the Words of Jesus series.
Don Harris your host.
And we're going to get right back into some more Red Ink today.
Let's back up a little so that we know where we are in this particular conversation
or at least dissertation by Jesus.
But when you shall see, this is we're reading from the 101st chapter.
But when you shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by
Daniel the prophet standing where it ought not, let him that
readeth understand. Then let them that are on the housetop not go
down to the house, neither enter therein to take anything out of
his house. and let him that
is in the field not turn back again to take up his garment but woe unto them which are with child
and with those that give suck in those days and pray that your flight be not in the winter
for in those days shall be affliction such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created
unto this time neither shall be you understand kind of clumsy king king James English but he's
saying that this is going to be the worst tribulation ever and I was telling you before
keep that in mind because you're going to need to know that
and except that the Lord had shortened those days it's odd that this jumps into
um
kind of past tense and I and I really don't know why, except that the Lord had shortened those days.
No flesh should be saved, but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
And then he goes on to say that if anybody says Christ is here, Christ is there, don't go
running looking for me because when I show up, it's going to be so huge, it's going to
be like the sun coming up in the morning.
You understand that, right?
The abomination of desolation, referring to that, you want my opinion i'll give you my opinion i think that
a third temple will essentially be erected i don't know if it's going to be a temporary dwelling
a tent on uh on the temple mount uh which would be a legal place of sacrifice if it's dedicated
properly according to the well you have to understand
that you know i'm talking like they do because that's the way they talk they need to find the
blood of a red heifer and there's a lot of talk about that and uh you know it has to be perfect
and it has to be this that and the other thing. But they are actively pursuing a third temple. Not by the
commission of the Lord, by the way, but by their own
desire and design they are wanting
to erect a third temple. If they do erect a third
temple, I feel that the abomination of
desolation, actually, if you look at that in Greek,
I believe it's in the Septuagint,
it reads that it is the abomination that makes desolate.
If you'd like to know about this third temple
and this horrible curse that we bring on ourselves
when we do these kinds of things, I have an audio CD that talks about the abomination of desolation.
And it talks about what's called the spirit of grace.
The Bible mentions the spirit of Grace only twice.
And one of them is where Jesus was being crucified. The Bible says that there was a
Spirit of Grace that was brought upon Jerusalem at that time. And then, of course, Paul mentions it, that anyone who despises the blood of the sacrifice wherewith you were saved, born again, pardoned you are doing despite to the spirit of grace.
And the most dangerous thing about the third temple
is not the temple itself.
It's not all the good intentions, if you want to call them that,
of the people who want to do that.
But it is the fact that there's many people, Christians,
Messianics, not so much the Jew. The Jew
actually has a fear of blood sacrifice and messing with
what is considered to be the Ark of the
Covenant, the temple worship sacrifices being made,
things such as that. that Jews have a very
healthy fear of those kind of things. And they're not as excited as the Messianics who are really a
lot less informed in these areas. And they are considering, considering my foot, they talk about
it all the time, about sacrifices being made in this third temple,
wanting to reestablish the Levitical priesthood, the koanim, they're wanting to bring sacrifices
back to the temple. Unbelievable that they think like this, because there is one sacrifice that,
and the promise and the covenant of Abraham
all culminated in the blood of Christ being shed for us.
There is no more blood to offer.
And any blood that is offered,
if it is offered in any kind of a sacrificial way,
symbolically you have to think about the fact that
the only way that blood can be applied to an altar is to be
applied over the blood
of Jesus. Now friend, when you're
talking like this, you are talking
damnation. I mean, you can't do this and get away with it.
What in the world are people thinking? It's ridiculous to think that God wants us to wring
the head off of doves. He wants us to cut the throats of lambs. He has no pleasure in sacrifices.
The Old Testament is full of that particular statement. He has no pleasure in sacrifices. The Old Testament is full of that particular statement.
He has no pleasure in these areas.
So why are we so intent upon doing such a thing as that?
Well, you know, I would love to.
May I just say that it's likely good intentions on people's part,
good yet totally uninformed intentions on their part,
to want to offer sacrifices.
I don't understand.
You're probably, I mean, if you're of, you know, the conventional Christian sort,
you're thinking, what in the world are you talking about?
Well, yeah, this is going on. It's going on now. And
I hate to say that it's some of my own brethren that feel this way. And I say they're brethren
because there's people that appreciate Think Red Ink Ministries and the fact that we're not
discounting the entire Old Testament, the fact that we do keep the Sabbath day, the fact that
we do keep the Lord's holy days and
these kinds of things. And they feel some camaraderie with Think Red Inc. And for that,
I am appreciative. However, if there's a dividing line that I would like to draw
and stand on the other side of, it is this idea of sacrifices, not only in the last days, during the days of the tribulation,
but they're even talking about doing sacrifices through the millennium.
And it's just, it's ridiculous, it's dangerous, and there's no reason for it whatsoever.
No good reason for it.
So I have real concern. I happen to believe, as I started to say
before I ran off, I
happen to believe that it will likely be someone
of the Messianic ilk who will be
careless enough and thoughtless enough, reckless enough,
foolhardy enough to offer a sacrifice in the third temple on Passover.
Friend, you know what you're looking at?
You're looking at the abomination of desolation.
The abomination that makes desolate, spoken of by Daniel the prophet,
sitting in the holy place, standing in the holy place,
placed in the holy place.
That is what you're looking at.
Well, friend, that is the sign.
That is the sign that things and life and living and everything that you understand life to be now, it's over.
That will usher in not only the judgment of God and the wrath of God,
but that will manifest itself in the death of many many people many many people will be taken away
as jesus said one will be taken and the other left well friend you want to be the one that's left
because when you look into the scriptures about who's taken and who's left, the ones that are taken are the ones that are taken away to destruction.
The ones that are left are the ones who will eventually inherit
the kingdom of God on the earth.
So, you know, rapture notwithstanding,
you know, the coming of Jesus and all of us going to heaven
and having a party, sitting down at the um you know
the marriage supper of the lamb which the bible says is eating the flesh of kings and horses
i don't know why anybody looks forward to this but they've got the idea that there's going to
be some party in heaven when we're all taken away um and we're going to leave, you know, your poor aunt and uncle down here,
you know, just being chased by fireballs and dragons with stings in their tails,
I guess that's the entertainment.
That's the cabaret that night for the wedding feast.
It's absolute insanity.
The truth is, is that there will be an abomination that makes desolate.
There is not another way to describe an abomination better than someone who does despite to the
spirit of grace.
Counts the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified as an unholy, a thing that
is not set apart. It's commonly said among people who believe in
sacrifices in the New Jerusalem, sacrifices in the millennium, sacrifices in the tribulation,
and even sacrifices in the day in which you and I live. There are people who feel like that the
sacrifice that Jesus made is no different, and I quote,
than any sacrifice that was ever made in the temple as far back in time and memoriam.
You can hardly get closer to blasphemy than that.
The good news is, as Jesus says, if you blaspheme me i can deal with it you want to blaspheme my
father you want to blaspheme the spirit of god you want to do despite to the spirit of grace
man there's nothing left for you absolutely nothing left perhaps a fearful looking for
of judgment and fire indignation which shall devour the adversaries it's pretty
much all you have to look forward to this is not to be toyed with or messed with the sacrifices
that jesus made are absolutely sufficient sufficient period there is no other sacrifice to be made
all right let's go to chapter 102
jesus speaks about judgment immediately before the tribulation of those days shall the sun be
darkened and the moon shall not give her light did i read that correctly no No, I didn't.
It didn't say immediately before the tribulation
that all these things are happening
and the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven.
It doesn't say before the tribulation.
It says after the tribulation.
After, not before. It says after the tribulation. After.
Not before.
You can't get more diametrically opposed than those two words.
Yet, people teach that before the tribulation happens,
Jesus is going to appear in the sky,
and we're all going to be carried away.
Sorry, that's not what the scriptures say. in any translation transliteration in any language
i i have looked and i have looked and it is strictly after immediately after
the powers of the heaven shall be shaken and and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven.
Then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn.
They shall see the Son of Man coming in clouds of heaven and with power and great glory.
Another reason why people believe that the earth is going to be populated
essentially with lost people.
They feel like we're all gone and everybody who's here is lost. And according to,
you know, very famous, very fat preachers who love to preach about this, there's a new way to be
saved. Yeah. Did you know that? You don't have to be saved by the blood of Christ according to conventional, I'm
telling you, this is widespread, conventional wisdom, conventional teaching in the church today
is you don't need the blood of Christ after the tribulation. You just, you can be saved by your
own blood. Did you know that? Yeah, all you have to do is be martyred in the name of Jesus, and that's it.
Now, how do they explain all this?
Same way they explain a lot of the other garbage that they teach,
through the process of...
It's just unbelievable.
But this is dispensationalism again.
Oh, it's a different dispensation.
So there's another way to be saved?
Jesus said, I'm the way, right?
Oh, no, not anymore, Jesus.
Now that we're in the tribulation, everything's changed.
It's a new dispensation.
We can be saved, and they say that the Jews are going to be saved.
How? By dying in the name of the Lord.
Martyrdom. So they're saved by their own blood. Not Jesus'
blood. Look friend, when this happens
there's nobody left on the earth except us.
That's all. And the reason that they think that it's lost people
and boy if this isn't just the height of of of pride and ego and who the heck do you think you
are that's uh it says that the tribes of the earth shall mourn. Friend, do you know that that's us?
Did you know that this is going to be one terrible, terrifying day?
I don't care if you're saved or not. You cannot know the gap of holiness between us and our God. You will,
but you can't know it now and think that it's going to be a party when he shows up.
We are the nations of the earth that are going to mourn. We are the tribes of the earth
that are going to mourn when they see the of the earth that are going to mourn when
they see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory you really
think you're going to stare at the glory of god and you're not going to cry for the mountains to
fall on you i'm i i just don't know how we get the idea that we're so special.
So he says,
and he shall send his angels with a great cloud of a trumpet,
with the great sound of a trumpet.
There's your trump, by the way.
And they shall gather together his elect from the four winds.
I thought they were already gathered together. I thought they were in heaven waiting.
I thought these people on the earth were lost folks.
Who's he gathering? He's gathering the elect from the four winds.
From one end of heaven
unto the other. and this is saying you know from from one
sky unto the other from one from the east and from the north from the south from the west
from all four corners of the globe he's going to gather his elect with the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Now learn a parable of the fig tree.
When its branches yet tender,
and putteth forth leaves,
ye know that summer is nigh.
So likewise ye,
when ye shall see all these things,
know that the end is near,
even at the door.
When we see all these things? I thought we were up in the grand stands
watching from up there verily i say unto you this generation shall not pass till all things be
fulfilled heaven and earth shall pass away but my words will not pass away but of that day
an hour knoweth no man no not the angels the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
But as the days of Noah were, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be.
For in the days that were before the flood,
they were eating and drinking and marrying and giving in marriage
until the day that Noah entered into the ark
and knew not until the flood came
and took them all away.
Took who?
Took Noah away?
Took Noah and his family away?
No, he took the wicked away.
And that's the way it's going to be.
So also shall the coming of the Son of Man be.
Then shall two be in the field, one will be taken,
taken, taken, taken how?
Taken away, and the other left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill,
one shall be taken, and the other left.
The taken and the left, we've got it absolutely backwards.
The ones that are taken is when the wicked are taken away from the earth.
The flood took the wicked away in Noah's day,
and they are going to be taken in this day.
Watch therefore, for you know not what hour your Lord doth come.
But know this, that if the good men of the house had known what watch the thief would come,
what time he would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Therefore, be ye also ready,
for in such an hour as ye think not,
the Son of Man cometh.
Now, this does not mean that you cannot know, by the way.
This says that in an hour that you really didn't think that it was going to happen
that's when these things happen um but as i say i happen to believe that the very the very same god
the very same the christ i mean pre-incarnate albeit pre-incarnate christ and and now we have a
christ that uh actually possesses flesh um the very same god who said should we cause all this
destruction and not tell our friend abraham and they no, no, let's go down and talk with Abraham about this.
That very same character in him is the same character he shows toward us. We're not going
to be left in the dark on this. We're not going to be taken by surprise unless you are, as Jesus
said, involving yourself in eating and drinking and being drunken and gluttonous and you're just concerned about yourself, yeah,
you're going to be overtaken. But there are some people who
don't participate in those things, who deny themselves,
who are willing to die for what they believe and they follow Christ.
We don't have any reason to believe that we're going to be taken by surprise
here. There's not going to be taken by surprise here.
There's not going to be a surprise for us.
You're not in darkness like the world.
We walk in light.
He says, so in the hour that you think not, the Son of Man cometh. For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey,
who left his house
and gave authority to his servants
and to every man's work
and commanded the porter to watch.
Watch ye therefore,
for ye know not when the master of the house cometh,
at evening or at midnight
or at the cock crowing or in the morning,
lest coming suddenly he find you
sleeping and what i say unto you i say unto all watch you know over and over isn't it just over
and over whenever jesus speaks especially in these latter days of his knowing that he's facing the end of his time and
he's not going to be able to speak much with us after he's gone and he's drumming this into his
disciples as what's he always saying you better take this seriously you better take this seriously
you better watch and take heed to yourselves there it is again take heed to yourselves. There it is again.
Take heed to yourselves.
What does that mean?
Pay attention.
Take heed to yourself.
Simply is that time of quietness in our lives.
Is there a time of quietness in your life where you actually take heed to yourself?
Or you have times of introspection?
And you consider the days recently you consider the
days in your future but most of all you open yourself to the voice of the lord to speak to you
to show you and to guide you you need to take heed to yourself lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness and cares of this life.
And so that day come upon you unawares.
This is that day overtaking people who are concerned with the cares of this life.
Whose only concern is what they have to eat and what they have to drink.
For as a snare it will come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore and pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape.
Worthy to escape.
Worthy to escape worthy to escape what that net that time of taking away that you're worthy of
escape now that shall come to pass to stand before the son of man
this idea of being worthy to escape,
I think we're missing this.
In the day and age in which we live,
in conventional Christianity,
we're taught that our worthiness is given to us.
That when you get saved, God makes you worthy.
I've heard preachers say that. God makes you worthy. I've heard preachers say that.
God makes you worthy. No, no, no. He's not an idiot. If somebody's unworthy, they're unworthy.
You can't make them worthy. Now, I can make me worthy, but he can't. I mean, he could probably
bring about some situations in my life
that'll make me consider it more so than I'm doing today
when I have everything I want and I'm just as happy as I can be.
However, we need to be counted worthy to escape.
Counted worthy means that as we are judged for the actions and the works in our life,
that it makes us worthy.
We're going to talk next time about the foolish and the wise virgins who awaited the wedding,
awaited the bridegroom for the wedding.
