On Capitol Hill, there is no consensus regarding President Trump's strong push for the United States to acquire Greenland.
Many NATO allies are pushing back, saying Trump should respect Greenland's sovereignty as a self-governing territory within the Kingdom of Denmark.
And Democratic Senator Mark Warner agrees and says, in his view, a takeover isn't even needed.
We had 17 military bases there. We shut them down. They have said, build them back up.
You know, the groups that benefit most from this break with NATO is Vladimir Putin.
But some Republicans, like Congressman Mike Herodopoulos, argue that the president's push is exactly the right move.
This is a president who leads, and he is willing to even buck some friends to make sure we make the right long-term strategic decisions.
The European Union held an emergency meeting on Sunday.
EU leaders are hoping to convince Trump to back away from threatened tariffs against European countries that oppose his push to acquire Greenland.
Firefighters in Chile are battling wildfires that have killed at least 19 people and forced some 50,000 to evacuate.
And authorities warned the death toll could still rise further.
President Gabrielle Borich has declared a state of catastrophe in the hardest-hit regions,
allowing the military to help with firefighting and evacuations.
Authorities estimate the fires have now burned roughly 75,000 acres,
fueled by extreme heat, strong winds, and dry conditions.
Officials say more than a dozen fires remain active.
Online hackers briefly broke into Iranian state TV satellite broadcasts showing footage supporting the country's exiled Crown Prince.
World's Kristen Flavin reports.
The unauthorized transmission appeared on multiple channels of the state broadcaster in a rare breach of Iran's tightly controlled airwaves.
It showed footage of Crown Prince Riza Pahlavi urging security forces not to turn their weapons on the public.
This comes as the government's crackdown has largely quieted protests, though not entirely.
Activists say at least roughly 4,000 people have been killed in the crackdown,
a toll that many observers expect to rise as more information is revealed.

More than 100 vehicles piled up or slid off the road on a snow-covered interstate in western Michigan Monday.
Drivers said blowing snow made it hard to see even at slow speeds.
State police shut down.
both directions of Interstate 196 near Grand Rapids, while crews worked to clear wrecked cars
and dozens of semi-trucks. Authorities reported multiple injuries but no deaths. The crash comes as a
powerful winter storm brings snow, ice, and bitter cold across much of the Midwest and East.
