The retail giant is closing its Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh stores as it refocuses its grocery strategy.
The company says it will shift attention to Whole Foods Market, grocery delivery, and a new, large-format store
concept. Some of the closing locations will be converted into Whole Foods stores. Amazon bought that
chain in 2017. Amazon says the standalone fresh and go stores never scaled the way it hoped.
