Hundreds gathered in St. Michael Square in Kiev today to celebrate Christmas with carols and a parade, but the celebrations were interrupted by a familiar sound. Air raid sirens sounded briefly as a Russian drone flew over Ukraine's capital. In a separate incident, one person was killed in. eight others injured today and a Russian drone attack
Starting point is 00:00:33 on the Ukrainian city of Chenyev. Meanwhile, when we're going to return to God, Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, gave a special Christmas address today. In it, he said that Ukrainians who turned to God ask not for revenge, but for peace in Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:00:49 Crews in Bristol, Pennsylvania are digging through the wreckage of a nursing home after a powerful explosion killed two women and injured more than 20 others. Investigators are trying to determine whether a gas leak caused the blast. And fire chief Kevin DiPolito said as for the cause of the explosion. That is still under investigation.
Starting point is 00:01:07 We have heavy machinery on site right now that's helping us excavate the area. Until we excavate that area and remove the walls and roofs that collapsed, we won't have any idea what may have occurred in there. The blast tore through a wing of the Bristol Health and Rehab Center Tuesday afternoon, collapsing walls and the roof of the kitchen and cafeteria. Police Chief Charles C.J. Winnick praised the firefighters who carried residents to safety, many of whom were wheelchair-bound. I've never seen such heroism.
Starting point is 00:01:36 They were running into a building that I could, from 50 feet away, can still smell gas and walls that looked like they were going to fall down. And they were still going into a building to recover people. They couldn't walk. Some people couldn't talk. Police say 120 residents and staff were safely accounted for after a frantic evacuation. 19 people remained hospitalized Wednesday, including one, in critical condition. Bolivia's new conservative-leaning president is rolling out reforms.

President Rodrigo Paz has signed a decree clearing the way for satellite internet providers like Starlink to operate nationwide, lifting restrictions installed by the previous leftist government. Bolivia has long struggled with slow and unreliable internet, especially outside major cities. Many households still rely on an aging Chinese satellite, making even basic online tasks frustrating. Paz's move signals a broader shift in policy. His administration is pushing market-friendly changes to attract foreign investment and modernize infrastructure.
