Severe winter weather snarled holiday traffic in parts of the country over the weekend,
and there's more of it on the way.
Several inches of snow fell in New York City over the weekend, catching some tourists by surprise.
We're from West Virginia, so we're not from here, right?
Going here for a three-year anniversary, which was yesterday,
we realized it's going to snow on a tactic.
We didn't even think it was coming.
Numerous airports have been dealing with delays after a busy travel weekend.

Storm track was a little atypical for some of the northeast storm you've seen in the past,
but it was pretty quick moving, but it did produce periods of heavy snow,

Forecasters say those warnings are driven by an intense bomb cyclone.
That's bringing a mixture of snow, ice, rain, and strong winds.

Police in the South American country of Suriname say a man killed at least nine people, including
five children in a knife attack. Authorities say the victims include four of the suspect's own
kids along with neighbors who tried to help. The attack happened near the capital city of
Paramaribo. Witnesses say it followed a phone argument between the suspect and his estranged
wife over picking up the children.
The man reportedly then went from house to house attacking people.
Officers say the suspect was injured during his arrest after trying to attack police.
Security is expected to be tight for New Year's celebrations this week across the country,
but the Department of Homeland Security is not currently tracking any specific credible threats.
And DHS spokeswoman, Tricia McLaughlin, says no one should be deterred from celebrating.
You know, we're not going to bend the need to these cowards, these terrorists, as we've seen in the past.
And so Americans should go out.
They should celebrate this great year we've had, be with friends and family, but just be aware of your surroundings.
Federal authorities recently reported that they foiled a bomb plot whereby suspects were planning to detonate explosives
had multiple sites in Southern California on New Year's Eve.
Drivers got a small Christmas gift to end the year in the form of lower gas prices.
AAA puts the new national average at $2.83 per gallon.
That was down another two cents per gallon, according to its survey.
That comes as supply continues to outstrip demand.
Oklahoma once again has the cheapest gas in the country, on average, at $2.25 per gallon.
Hawaii has the most expensive fuel at $4.44.
