Iran has announced the temporary closure of the Strait of Hormuz for live-fire military drills.
The rare show of force came as its negotiators held another round of indirect nuclear talks today in Geneva with the United States.
And that comes as President Trump has threatened military action if Iran does not agree to curb its nuclear program.

The Pentagon recently deployed another aircraft carrier to the Middle East as part of a military buildup
near Iran. It was not immediately clear if the Strait of Hormuz had actually been closed,
but the move could further escalate tensions. 20% of the world's oil passes through the strait.
Also in Geneva today, negotiators wrapped up day one of the latest round of U.S. mediated peace talks
between Ukraine and Russia.
Mr. Rennam, what do you say about negotiations?
Reporters shouted questions to the lead Ukrainian negotiator as he left the venue,
but he did not offer any answers.
Those talks were expected to focus on security and humanitarian issues,
but they face an uphill climb as Russia continues its attacks against Ukraine.
In a familiar scene, firefighters battled flames overnight after yet another Russian drone strike
in the Ukrainian port city of Odessa.
Local authorities say three people were injured in that.

critically injured three others during a high school hockey game on Monday.

in part of a family dispute, which ended with the shooter killing himself. Victim identities
remain unknown and it's believed that surviving victims are in critical.

The Reverend Jesse L. Jackson has died at the age of 84.

Martin Luther King Jr.
And he later founded Operation Push and the Rainbow Coalition.
He ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1984 and 1988.
Mr. George Bush concluded the Reagan's plan was voodoo economics.
He was right.
Supporters saw Jackson as a leading voice and a champion for poor and minority rights.
Critics accused him of using racial issues to enrich himself becoming a millionaire as a political operative.
Jackson faced health challenges in recent years but remained publicly active.
