Starting point is 00:00:01 With World Radio News, I'm Mark Mellinger. Israeli airstrikes are pounding the capitals of Iran and Lebanon as the U.S. apparently struck an Iranian drone carrier at sea. Israeli ambassador to the UN, Danny Danone, says U.S. and Israeli forces have achieved air supremacy in Iran. And today, the Iranian people, when they look up at the skies, they can see the Israeli aircrafts, the U.S. aircrafts, and they see that we are actually moving forward. What we are doing now, we are targeting the infrastructure of the regime. Israeli strikes overnight targeted a multi-million dollar bunker used by the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini.
Starting point is 00:00:43 The Associated Press reported several very large explosions in Tehran this afternoon. 24-7, our pilot coming to Israel, refuel and reload, and fly back to Iran. So I think it's amazing to see what's happening now, but it's not over yet. U.S. officials say the mission is to largely eradical. Iraqate Iran's ballistic missiles and capacity to build a nuclear weapon and to completely destroy its navy. On Thursday, U.S. forces destroyed an Iranian drone carrier at sea, and earlier this week, an American submarine torpedoed an Iranian warship in international waters. It was the first time a U.S. sub has destroyed an enemy warship in battle since World War II. President Donald Trump is calling for the unconditional surrender of the radical Islamic regime,
Starting point is 00:01:31 after a full week of attacks. A federal judge is blocking a Virginia law requiring age verification on social media. World's Dennis Crowley explains. State lawmakers overwhelmingly passed the legislation last year, and it was supposed to go into effect in January. The law requires social media providers to identify minors under 16 and limit their use to one hour each day on each social media site. parents have the option to increase or decrease that time.
Starting point is 00:02:03 But in that choice, a group representing some of the nation's biggest social media providers challenged the law. The suit claimed it would infringe on First Amendment rights. In response, a federal judge agreed to issue a temporary injunction. The state is appealing the decision. For World, I'm Dennis Crowley. President Trump says a deal with Cuba may be on the horizon. In a phone interview with Politico, the president said he's focused on Iraq.
Starting point is 00:02:28 right now, but it's only a matter of time for Cuba. He said, quote, Cuba's going to fall too. We cut off all oil, all money, or we cut off everything coming in from Venezuela, which was the sole source, and they want to make a deal.
