The following is a special presentation of WRFH sports.
The Hillsdale Chargers men's varsity baseball team will take on the Finley Oilers.
As we're going through our starting lineups, the Hillsdale Chargers will begin out in the field,
they're the home team.
And starting for your Hillsdale Chargers, leading off is number 16.
Guard Swenson.
Second is number five.
Rocco Tatura.
Number 11.
Noah Hopkins.
Hoppins.
Batting cleanup is number 33.
Will Lemon.
Fifth is number 14.
Jake Figman.
All right.
Now, rounding off for the Chargers.
Hispanic 7th, number 26, Ryan Wayne, eighth, number 18, Billy Portsky, and finishing out is number nine,
Aaron Jusick. Starting on the mound is number 35, Brandon Smith, and catching for him is number 26,
Ryan Weyhe. As we start off, is there anything that you're looking for from this Hillsdale team?
You know, it's a beautiful day to be playing baseball.
It's really nice outside.
And I'm just looking to get some points on the board.
They're playing Finley later today, too, and this weekend.
This is part of the doubleheader today,
and then they'll have their next two of the series tomorrow.
On Monday.
Yes.
Because the original games were moved for,
weather. So they were originally supposed to be played tomorrow and Sunday. Now it's today and Monday.
Leading off through this Finlay Orler's team would be number seven, Nick Palm, who is a
catcher, sophomore out of Lyria, Ohio.
Following up will be number 42.
Who actually had a name change is Daniel Keelan.
Outfielder Sr. from Cincinnati, Ohio.
I grew up in Cincinnati.
Nice talent.
Yeah, I like it.
Produces good baseball players, apparently.
Let's see if he represents your city well.
Yes.
Now, batting third is number 17, Casey Maranick.
He should be outfielder, senior, from Hillard, Ohio.
Number seven is up to bat right now.
Pitch.
On the middle for strike one.
Number seven is Nick Palm.
He's an infielder for Finley.
Smith being ready to just wind up.
Pitch is delivered too hot.
ball one. It was one-in-one. She's delivered, pop fly out in between the gap between center and left field.
That ball will drop as Palm reaches second for extra bases on a well-hit ball nearly to the, actually into the warning track and nearly to the fence.
It's a good lead-off hit for the Finley Oilers.
Now batting the right field, number 42, Keel and Daniel.
Number 42, Keel and Daniel coming up to ball.
with a runner on second, no outs.
One, just outside.
Runner is a conservative lead at second
with the shortstop, Aaron Jusick, holding him on.
Just trying to want to stop.
Pitch delivered, breaking ball, curved outside.
It's it for count of two and one.
Or, no, that was called a strike, one-on-one.
Now it's at negative three.
Pitch delivered, followed off
toward the Oilers dugout, the strike two, one and two.
One more.
Smith looking for a sign from his catcher.
Ten seconds on the pitch clock.
Delvers.
Fastball just outside.
Two and two count.
It's interesting that he's a lefty.
I'm sure that changes the pitching plan that he has for them
and affects their decision-making.
Smith delivers.
just outside fastball called ball three we have a full count
Smith steps on the mound took a little of a break trying to see if he talked to his shortstop about the runner
looks back delivers the pitch just too high it's ball four number 42
or sorry yeah 42 Daniel Keelan will advance to first base
still have a man on second.
Number 17.
Casey Maranick will come up to bet.
He's a righty.
Smith delivers the first pitch, looked a bit high and outside.
The ball one.
The shortstop and second basement are cheating towards the bag,
but they're still off.
They're not holding them on too tightly.
Still, the runner's got a conservative lead.
And that ball is roped into left field.
The runner goes home.
There'll be no throw.
Aaron looks to cut the second and
it's an RBI single
Finley has scored the first run of the game
No outs and a first and second
It was good hit by Merrick
Yes it was
Number 15
Number 15
Luke Stephan
Adding to Fleenup
For the Oilers
Sorry two hits
For the Oilers on three batters with one walk
Smith
Comes together
Delivers
Ball's way outside.
Ball is batted down and kept in front of him by the catcher,
which is number 26 Ryan Wehee.
At one and no count as Smith gathers himself on the mound.
Looking in towards the catcher first sign, comes set,
checks the runner at second, delivers the pitch.
That's grounded to first.
Over to second.
Safe at second, safe at first, no throw.
That ball was grounded straight to the first baseman who tried to look for the double play,
but Runner was fast enough and had a good enough lead that he was safe at second,
and no play was made, bases loaded, no outs for Hillsdale.
Bit of an unfortunate turn of events so far.
Yeah.
Number 22 is up to that.
Gavin Smith.
Yeah, Smith on Smith.
Yes.
looking for that first out
Smith
loads
grounds it
and that is shot right past
the first basement
in the deep right field
as one runner comes home
the second
and the third
is rounding third
for the play
safe
talk about
unfortunate turn of events
a good play by Finley
that unfortunately
resulted in
quite a few home runs
for
against the Chargers
today
As Hillsdale's coach has called a meeting on the mound,
they've just loved three runs off a RBI single and a three RBI triple.
And they'll come together and they'll meet and they'll see what they can do.
The good thing is there's a lot of game left to hopefully come back from that.
Considering it's just the top of the first.
Finley dugout's been really loud.
they've been really proud of
performance so far
and right now
that
error it wasn't recorded
as an error but that play at first
where they went to second to try and get a double
play they'll end up regretting
that as you know
with no outs man on third
four runs already scored
if he'd gotten that out he would have saved a run
but that's just in retrospect
Smith comes set
all outside
That's a loose ball
And that's thrown
Catcher muffed
The pitch got away from him
And the runner from third came home and scored
Smith was not able to get home in time
And Finley takes a 5-0 lead
12 Mason Myers up to bat
It's a 2-0 count
No one on the basis
Got a piece of that, but
End up bouncing off the catcher's glove
And ending up in front of them
That'll be a fall ball for strike one
To him one count
Smith comes set
Delivers
Filed again, that ball was
A little off
Actually it was on the plate
But a little closer to the edge
And Myers was able to fall that back
To the backstop
Smith comes set
ready to deliver.
The breaking ball up top did not come down far enough.
It will be ball three, full count, three and two.
Smith delivers.
Fall off again.
Mason Myers battling.
Smith forcing a third foul ball.
We'll see what Smith does to try and fool him on this next pitch.
Still a full count.
That hit him.
on that full count
Smith left that pitch a little to inside
and Nick the elbow of Myers
who goes to first
Number 10, Kegan Snyder
Number 10, Kegan Snyder
The current catcher
for the Finley Oilers comes to the plate
So we have a timeout on the field
Umph was given a new set of baseballs
after those many foul balls
and now Snyder
officially steps into the plate and the pitch clock
starts ticking down
Smith comes set
Ready to deliver
That ball inside nearly hit him
Yeah
I looked pretty close
Yeah
I'd like to see that again
Yeah
Run out first
Keep a conservative lead
As Smith is a leftie
Smith delivers way outside
For ball two
That was a strike
Oh he called that a strike
Oh
It looked outside to me but
It did to me
too actually but hey we'll take it.
I called strike one-on-one count.
Smith checks the runner at first.
Delivers.
High and outside for that pitch, yeah.
Got to wait and pause now.
Smith comes set.
Checks his runner.
Speck delivers.
Fowled off down into the Hillsdale dugout.
Kegan Snyder or Ritey looking to bat
and try and advance this run around the base.
and hopefully, you know, if you're a Finley fan, hopefully get a sixth run.
Yeah.
It is 5-0 at the top of the first.
Called strike three.
First out of the game.
Yep.
They look to be a looping curve ball.
Now that in the third base number five.
That ball looks a little high and then broke.
And I ever ruled that it broke low enough to be called a strike.
So good first out for Smith.
So number five, Mike's.
Scorito comes up to the plate.
Pitches low, ball one.
Looks over, comes set, checks the runner, pauses for a moment.
This is wind-up switch, and he hits Scorito.
Scurrito will go to first, a walk, and time is called.
The umpire personally throws the ball back to the pitcher.
Not sure if he said anything is that is the second hit batter of the game.
Number 13, Drew Tucker.
And number 13, Drew Tucker comes up to bat for the Finley Oilers.
Man on first and second with one out.
This is the bottom of the lineup, the Finley Oilers.
Pitches in there for ball one.
Looked a little inside.
This comes back.
Second baseman playing closer to second base,
looking to see if you could deat the runner, getting easy out.
But it's the liver's runner goes to third.
But that ball was hit to the second baseman,
who muffled it as the runner from second who was stealing third bowl score.
That would be a recorded first error for the Hillsdale Chargers.
As, you know, at the next batter, this is top of the lineup for the Oilers, McPalm.
But it would lead off as he has runners at first and third at the corners as,
see there are two pitchers no one pitcher warming up in the hillsdale bullpen we'll see if smith can make it to the end of the inning as he checks
throws a pickoff attempt at the runner first baseman uh joshra board chef for the hillsdale chargers had to come off the bag to make the catch
sorry correction i think that's will will layman layman yeah he's ready that runner goes to second
The ball is cut off before he gets there.
That's a clean steal a second.
Smith knew he was going to go.
Wanted to get at least one pickoff attempt at him.
Smith looks into the dugout.
Ten seconds on the pitch clock comes set.
It delivers a breaking ball.
Called ball two.
Two and no count.
One out.
Runners at second and third.
Smith comes set again.
First sign delivers the pitch.
That ball is ground to the second baseman.
and makes a clean play at first.
That will be an RBI single.
That's number five.
Mike Scorito comes home
to score for the Finlay Oilers
as is now 7-0 at the top of the first.
Number 42, Daniel.
Number 42, Daniel.
Yeah, Keelan Daniel.
First pitch follows back to the back of the net.
That drops down.
So that will be strike one.
on one count with two outs as Smith looks to get out of this inning.
They could use a change of pace.
I'm to really stir things up.
Smith comes set.
Delvers.
Called low for ball one.
Smith looks like he wanted that.
Smith comes set.
It delivers the pitch.
That ball is popped up.
Right fielder looks like he's under it and makes the catch for,
out number three as Hillsdale gets out of the inning.
Now, only allowing three hits, but
a couple of Voltaim hits and a couple of walks with one error
led to seven runs in this inning.
Now, we'll come back to the bottom of the first inning in one minute.
So you've been listening to 101.7 FM,
your Hillsdale Chargers. We'll see you when we come back.

Hillsdale area forecast and I'm Alessia
Sandella on Radio Free Hillsdale
101.7 FM.
You're listening to Radio Free
Hillsdale 101.7 FM
here at the Chargers
baseball game against the Finley Oilers
at Lenda and Glenda Hill Stadium
at the
bottom of the first.
Finley is pitching.
Chargers are hitting, looking to match the 7-0 lead that the Oilers currently have.
Up first is...
Number 16 guards, Swenson for the Hillside Chargers,
as the Oilers will have number 19, Mr. Ethan Moyer pitching.
It loads up.
There's the second pitch.
That'll be strike two on Svensson.
Svenson's standout Hildesdale baseball player.
Last game had two steals and an RBI.
It's more, gets in his windup, throws it.
And Spenson battles that pitch off, goes foul and lands outside the stadium.
The count is still 0 and 2.
Hills, as Svensson looks to get on base and hopefully start a Chargers rally.
And pitch start.
That is roped right back up towards the pitcher.
Quickly got out of the way and that goes almost directly over second base as
Svensson gets a lead-off single.
And from Bartlett, number 32 Rocco Tenuda.
Righty steps into the batter's box with Eric Swenson on first.
It's more a right-handed pitcher can't check Svenson as much.
that first pitch is in there for ball one.
Svenson is a bit of a base runner.
He's the most steals on this Hillsdale men's varsity baseball team,
and he'll be looking to see if he'll take an aggressive lead as more.
Come set.
There's a pitch inside for ball two.
What looks over comes set.
Checks guard at first.
There's the pitch.
Rocko pops that one up behind the plate.
And the first basement comes over and makes the catch.
Rocco Tanuta Pop Fly put out for the first basement number 22, Gavin Smith.
Third for your Hillsdale Chargers is number 11, Nolan Hopkins.
Lefty hitter.
and first pitch down the middle
swinging strike one
more comes set for pitch number two with 10 on the
pitch clock
sent it with the conservative lead pitch is thrown
down low for ball one
Finley dugout really wanted that one
one's across the board with one ball one strike and one out
more comps that delivers and that ball is ropes almost hitting the umpire but it'll turn and finley turns a double play that pitch second baseman was able to field it cleanly
i thought the umpire was the second baseman but he ended up getting out of the way and finley is able to cleanly make that double play ending the inning
going into top of the second yep three up three down one hit a lot of one hit a lot
loud, but we'll see you in one minute as we had to a commercial break. You've been listening to

11.1.7 FM or Hillsdale
Varsity baseball team
is currently down 70 at the
second as that ball is
fouled down the
third baseline.
It's number 17
AC Murrick
steps up to the plate.
We currently have a B in the studio that we're
watching and hopefully it gets out.
We should, hopefully it doesn't mess up the crowd, Mike, too much.
Second strike here.
I'm sure the chargers are looking to make this very short, top of the inning.
Smith, who is also still pitching, delivers for ball one.
Ball delivered, ball two.
Looks like he's been going low.
Two and two count.
First batter of the inning.
Smith checks with this catcher waiting until a later part of the pitch glass to come set.
Delivers and that pitch is filed off towards the Hillsdale dugout.
It's still two and two count.
Number 17, Casey Murak.
Smith comes set.
Delivers, grounded.
Just gets back.
Just gets by Aaron Jissick for a quick single.
That ended up in left field but was.
cleanly fielded by left-fielder
and kept to a single base.
Pick off attempt from Smith.
The runner was not far enough off the bag
to see any real true attempt.
Smith's on the mound
comes set with 10 on the pitch clock.
15th Stifan comes to hit the DH for the team.
So it delivers and hits his third batter
that will send
Casey Murdoch to second
with Luke Stefan
now at first base
as we welcome number 22
Gavin Smith to the plate
who
last time at bat was able to hit a
RBI 3
RBI triple
looks like they're switching out
pitcher
with
for number 29
Colin Lange
he'd been warming up in the
bullpen previous to this.
How do you think he'll fare?
Hopefully
better in
not hitting the
batters.
We'll see.
He's a righty.
So
now these batters are going to have to take a little bit to get
adjusted as Smith was a leftian
in that
hopefully throwing, hopefully this change will throw them
off a little bit.
Hill's that looks to
keep the damage to a minimum
and, you know,
a little bit of a sticky situation with two-on, no-out.
We'll see what Colin can do.
In the meantime, the crowd noise might be a little quiet
because there was a bee attempting to get in
and unsuccessfully finding his way out.
So I'm going to try and figure out that situation
as we let Lang warm up here at the top of the second.
spoilers currently have one runner on first.
One second to four.
We'd like to remind you that this is game one of a two-game double header.
As well as, we'll have two more games on Monday for you guys to tune into.
The second game will be kicking out right around 5 o'clock,
depending on how long this game goes.
Based off this first inning, we'll lean on the more liberal side and say that this should go the full thing.
three hours, if not a little more.
This is a nine inning game.
Unless I would stand corrected, but...
No, I think it is. I think it is nine innings.
Yeah.
All right, and that seems to be the end of the warm-ups.
So I'm Gavin Smith, who last time up hit a triple to walk in to RBI three runners in.
As Smith checks his bat, umpire signals for him to step into the box, and we're underway once again.
Calange comes set
His first pitch of the game
The run on first and second
Delivers and hits the batter
The fourth hit by pitch
By Hillsdale in this game
As Smith heads to first
As the bases are now loaded
Zero outs this inning
In the sticky situation
Mm-hmm
And comes set till about 10 seconds
Five on the pitch clock delivers down the middle for strike one.
It's a good third pitch to throw.
You can strike in, get ahead, O and 1.
And you come set again.
Delivers outside ball 1.
A 1 in 1 count.
An inch comes set.
Need up, delivers towards home.
Towards the outside of the plate, but called strike 2.
One and two count.
A pitch delivered.
It's a foul tip as the runner went.
It seemed to get a piece of it,
and the catcher was not able to cleanly catch it,
but I returned to a one and two count.
And still battling this Myers as pitch is delivered.
That ball is flied out in fair territory,
caught and left field.
But that'll allow the runner from third to score
on a sacrifice fly.
We'll get Finley's eighth run of the game.
Number 10, Keensteyer, Snyder, comes to the plate.
It's a man on first and second.
One out now.
From the set, delivers the first pitch.
It's called for ball one.
Pitch delivered, and that is flyed out to right field.
It's going to be close, and it's dropped.
Calls in as...
are rounding the bases as the runner from second will score on that deep hit to right field.
Right field that made a really good effort trying to catch that ball.
Tried to dive and get it but ended up just falling just short.
As Finley will score another run here in the top of the second.
Number five, Mike Scorito comes up to the plate, lines that ball into right field.
just picked up and that will be an RBI single
and he'll score two runs
extending Finley's lead to 11
The score looks bad
right now so far
but Finley only has
six hits for their 11 runs
A lot of that has been due to
the large amount of batters walked
by Hillsdale so let's see if they can
fix that as and he throws a ball
outside for ball one
to number 13
Drew Tucker
Delivered runner goes
Oh
Catcher's pop time was good
Thought he might have had him
But throws a little
To the left of the bag
And skipped into
Aaron Jusick
I believe was there to cover
As runners safe
At second
The second stolen base
For the Oilers this game
And then comes set
which delivers far outside for ball two.
Two and one count one out.
Runner on second.
Thosedale looks to get out of this inning.
Then comes set.
Pick off a tense.
That ball goes into center field
as the second basement wasn't able to field it cleanly,
but the runner stays at second
and then comes back to the mound.
Keeping an eye,
making sure they don't steal another to get to third.
runner goes that ball is chopped foul
third base coach
fields that ball pretty cleanly
with his bare hands
former athlete I'm sure
runner will come back to second base
touches the bag and we are back
in play
and looks down towards the
catcher
comes set
and delivers the pitch
that ball is grounded to Rocco at third
fired over to first base.
Good throw, good catch.
That's the second out of the inning.
Runner's second didn't even try for third.
So Rocco was able to gun them out.
I'm not sure if he checked the runner's second at all,
but Rocco had a good arm to fill that cleanly and calmly
and get it over to first with some extra time to spare.
As number seven, Nick Palm comes up to bat for the Finley Oilers.
Another lefty.
Pick-off attempt by Colin Lange.
Lange, back on the mound, steps on, facing the catcher.
First signal comes set, pauses, delivers, ball inside.
See you.
Palm for his, Nick Palm for his second, sorry, third at-bat for the game.
This is our lead-off hitter.
It's just delivered for strike one.
And the outside corner.
One runner at second.
Hopefully you can get third out here.
Lange, delivers.
Swinging, no contact, good strike two.
Good for strike two, I should say.
Sorry, strike one.
Nope, strike two.
Corrected on the scoreboard.
I'm going crazy.
One and two count.
Lange delivers, and that ball.
solid contact
roped in the center
as the runner from second
makes for home
there'll be no throw
Damien's standing up
as number seven
Nick Palm gets
hit
gets another RBI
this game
their fifth
run
of the inning
at 12 in the game
Hillsdale looking to close this out
so they can hopefully get
some things to match on the scoreboard.
Lange throws that ball just inside for ball one.
It would be a fastball.
Probably touch in the 80s, maybe a low 70s.
Breaking ball, the same spot got him swinging.
Number 42, Keel and Daniel.
Up to bat, lefty for the Finley Oilers.
One-on-one count, two outs.
All right, first.
as Lange
looks up to Livers
and that ball's
followed off
towards the Hillsdale
dugout for strike two
do you think
the third base coach
is saying
it looks a little
like he's having a word
with his men at first
doing a couple
exaggerated movements
yes
Lange delivers
oh runner goes
that ball is thrown
into center field
and gets off the base
then doubles back
as center field
came up and brought that up.
That is the second pickoff attempt
this inning to go into center.
Hillsdale looks a little sloppy,
but hopefully, you know,
then gathered themselves here
and get this final out.
Lange, reading from his catcher.
Come set.
Ready to deliver.
That's the inning.
Third strike.
No much of a reaction there,
but yeah, all strike three.
As it is,
12 to 0 in London-Englena Hills Stadium.
We'll be back in one minute.

We are at the Linda and Glenda Hill Stadium.
It's not looking too great for the Chargers right now.
I have to say the Finley Oilers are up 12.0 at the bottom of the second.
So, you know, Hillsdale could come back still.
Yeah, they can certainly make an attempt as Ethan Moyer returns.
Play it as Hillsdale on their cleanup batter right now.
Number 33.
Will Lehman.
Lehman.
Leeman, Lehman.
Loads.
Comes in his wind-up.
Delivers ball outside.
No, that was a strike.
Ooh.
That's a strike group.
that one but I'm just in the box
what do I know?
Her delivers
outside
ball one.
Yes, fall one.
I looked very similar to me
but
what are you going to do?
That's certainly
just went up again, delivers
filed down underneath the catcher's
mitt for strike two.
Even more
come set with a more
unorthodox approach
facing his dugout with his windup
The start delivers that pitch up high for ball two.
Just commenting on his windup.
He starts with his body facing his dugout, kind of off an off angle.
Pitch is delivered, and that's roped into left field.
That'll be a home run.
Will Lehman solo home run to get Hillsdale on the board.
That ball will be found in the parking lot after the game.
Lehman delivers some advice.
The next up batter number 14, Jake Figman.
As Hillsville tries to, he's going to attempt to rally here
and hopefully get some runs back.
Hopefully that can give them the momentum they need to get some points back here.
Lehman.
This just wind up delivers.
It's an outside moving ball for strike one.
That one started on the inside of the plate and just kind of drifted over.
There's next pitch.
That ball, a little touch outside.
Ball one, one-on-one count, nobody on, no outs.
Then more, there's wind up, delivers.
Ooh, gets Jake Figman swinging for strike two.
Pitch delivers.
That ball is off the catcher's mitt to the backstop.
Figman watches that one go by for ball two.
Two-and-two count.
as Mr. Moore steps back on the mound in his home.
So windup, goes through his windup, delivers,
and gets Figman swinging for strike three out number one.
Tyler Sowers.
He comes up to bat.
He's a righty.
Moore steps on.
He starts his windup, throws.
Tad high or tad outside, it's called ball one.
steps on
that says catcher
begins his windup
delivers
that ball's popped up
first baseman
moving into fall territory
tracking tracking
caught
cleanly
fielded well
second out of the
of the inning
Oilers
throw that ball around
the more steps
back onto the mound
and looks to start the at-bat for number 26, Ryan Wehey.
Delivers, and that's a ball far outside.
No chance of that one.
One-0.
This pitch is delivered for strike one.
The outside corner, good pitch, one-on-one.
It just wind up, delivers.
Paints that outside corner again for strike two.
solid pitching right now out of Finley.
That steps in.
Up starts, pitches delivered.
When catcher was not able to field it cleanly,
as that looked low in a way for ball number two.
Ryan Wheat looks to get on base,
two, two, and two.
At fifth pitch is thrown away outside the box
as we now have a full count
with nobody on two outs.
wind up
that ball is far outside for ball
looks like Ethan Moore
was looking to get him to chase
on that pitch but
you get to go maybe he was trying
to place it in that upper corner which he'd
hit two times previously that's that
bad but it was not lucky that third
time.
Chargers have someone on base now
it's the first
Moore
comes that delivers
that is strike one
swinging to number
18 Billy Portsky
Perutsky
Apologies
There comes
set, delivers again
that is
foul
that's tips foul
just behind the catcher for
strike number two
as
now down
02 in the count
two outs
Roots
Moore delivers home
low and away
for
ball number one more looks toward his catcher no longer in the wind-up just going from the stretch
and delivers that ball is far outside for bowl two see if he's priming it wouldn't be surprised that was
a fast ball up high and outside and wouldn't be surprised if we were to see a slider or a curve
ball it starts high and inside it moves down out in the way that's that pitch breaking ball
I can't confirm what it was, but definitely fooled.
Perotsky.
Yeah, Billy Parosky as.
Goilers get out of that inning only allowing one run
as the Chargers are now down
and now they're only down 12 to 1.

We are here at Lenda and Lenda Hill Stadium on the first game of a two-hitter today against the
Finley Oilers. Chargers are currently down 12 to 1, top of the third. So hoping for a quick inning
so they can get to that and get some points back. See, Halesdale has only given up seven
hits for their 12 runs. A lot of walks involved in that. So we'll see if number 29, Colin,
Then Lang can clean that up and get hells still out of the sending as he delivers for ball one.
Number 17 is up to bat for the Oilers.
Lang throws that pitch inside, high and up.
Ball number two, two-out-out-out.
Casey Maruniac, right-handed hitter.
Ball's hit, popped far.
Nope, that's fair.
It looks fair.
that is tracked down by the second basement and caught good pitch and good catch made by
billy parrotsky number 18 who was the last up to bet in the bottom of the second as score is still 12 to 1 but
one out it's first high hillsdale started with an out let's see the thing keep this going
Ball 1 is delivered far outside.
Right under Colin Lang.
And Gingz's windup delivers that ball right down the middle for strike one.
Lang.
Coming set later in the pitch clock.
Gens his wind up near six seconds delivers.
Ball outside.
Lang trying to get as much as he can out of this pitch clock.
Stepping on.
Hasn't come set yet.
eight seconds on the pitch clock comes set.
Let's just wind up delivers with five seconds left,
and there's that ball tad too high for ball three.
It's a three-and-one count now.
One adjustment, and I keep commenting on the time he's taking,
is that he seems to be going slower and more concentrated in his pitches,
and I think that's benefiting him as he winds and delivers.
Next pitch is that is filed off for strike number two.
We're at a full count.
Our signals delaying the pitch clock start,
but now that started laying a stepped on comes set with 15 seconds a little extra time that he was given
starts his wind-up delivers that's high for ball four number 15 Luke stephen that the plate will advance
as number 22 Gavin Smith will come to the plate who is hit by pitch on his last trip to the plate
our signals for the pitch clock to start Smith batters by the batters by
Lange. Starts, runner goes.
Throw is too slow.
No, he's out.
They hit him.
Second out of the inning.
Good play.
Yeah, good, fantastic tag, but I believe that was Aaron Jusick,
who came over from shortstop to tag him.
It was a close play.
Actually, it might have been the second baseman.
You know, there, but that was a good play,
as that was
and the next pitch was filed off for strike one.
Up to bad is number 22, Gavin Smith.
In correction, the first pitch that was thrown was called to strike
as we now have an 0-and-2 count.
Hillsdale could get up,
could get out of this inning,
threw up three down.
Pitch is delivered, that ball's high.
It's number 22, Gavin Smith.
Tall batter,
bigger zone.
Lange was probably looking for that upper,
of it, but I did not agree as Lang delivers the pitch, followed off by Smith.
Kevin Smith, 6'5 senior out of Cincinnati.
It's also a pitcher and an infielder playing all around.
Next pitch is delivered.
Ooh, close.
That ball is a tad high for Smith or a little bit inside.
They didn't mix of both, but that was called ball two, as we have a two and two count with two outs, nobody on.
Line comes set, delivers, followed off again by Smith, really battling in this count, waiting, waiting for his pitch, fighting to stay alive.
So, Lane comes back, mound as Smith actually stepped off, stepped out of the batter's box, got some extra time.
Lange comes set.
It's ready to deliver.
It was the first pitch wildly outside.
Catchers not able to fill it cleanly.
This is out.
Ryan Wehi, still catching for the Chargers.
Lehmann comes set on the mound.
Swine up pitches.
There's thrown down low for ball four.
And Smith will see first base.
Another walk from the Hillsdale Chargers.
It's been a bit of their crickers.
tonight today as they put base runners on and Finley's been able, once those base runners
are on, they've been able to get a hold of the ball and score a lot of runs.
We'll see if Hillsdale can escape this and can't go three-up, three down anymore,
unless they get a, you know, they can't go through up three down.
But we'll see if they can get another pickoff attempt is pitch number one,
batter number 12, Mason Myers.
is filed off for strike one.
Pitch thrown, strike one on that outer side part of the plate.
It's an 0-2 count.
Another strike fouled off, went over the protective netting
and behind outside of the stadium.
So still 0-2 with two outs.
Skunlange looks.
He's got this inning come set, delivers.
Pitch a little too high, call for.
ball one. Good attempt. We'll see if he tries to tunnel his next pitch and fool this better.
Come set. Ready to deliver outside and that is grounded. Good play by the second baseman but
thrown the wayside and now I'll play at second called out as that was a wild throw from the second
basement to the first baseman went back, hit off the dugout and took a lucky bounce straight to the
I believe pitcher who was able to make the play at,
he was able to make a throw to second
where Aaron Chesick was able to tag him out.
Running second looks a little upset,
a little cranky, but not sure he really needed that.
And we'll be back in 30 seconds.

After game 2 today.
Not sure anyone want that too much,
but... Hey, maybe
game 2 will be better than game 1.
We are
at top of the...
Sorry, bottom of the third,
with Aaron Jusick, stepping up to the plate,
the bottom of the lineup for the Hillsdale Chargers.
As pitch is delivered, it was a foul-tipped hit off Aaron hit off Jusick and in the play,
but it was rolled, you know, since it was hit off of him, it's a foul ball,
it would be strike one as the chargers.
Here's Aaron J-Sik comes ready for the pitch.
That is another, that is ball one thrown to him.
as Ethan Moore still in the game having only allowed one run through two innings.
To keep his RA up as delivers his next pitch.
And Jusick hits that ball deep into center.
Centerfield is backing up.
Makes the catch for out number one.
A solid amount of oomph on that probably went about 370, 360, 370 in the center.
It's cleanly fielded at the center field.
Unfortunate Mr. Jisick, as we get to the start of the lineup with Guard Swenson.
Lefty hitter.
Ball was inside for ball one.
Svenson was earlier today, but was doubled up.
See if he can repeat.
Nice.
The second part as next pitch, wasn't sure if Svenson checked, but I'm called Strike 1.
on that.
We won't be sure if it was a natural or swinging strike.
But it counters one in one with one out, no one on base.
It delivers and filed off.
Where's the Hillsdale dugout?
Yeah, right into his players there.
A little bit of friendly fire.
I don't love to see it, but it happens.
I'm going to get someone on the bases.
More delivers.
And Svenson tips that again.
I think that might have hit the ump
Oh yeah
I took the face mask
off
backs around
and
get a bit of a break
looks like it hit him
up high
taking a break
his trainer comes out on the field
to check on the ump
both coaches now
over
to give him
ump gets a drink of water
from the trainer
looks like he's going to tough it out
that's
And applause given for the ump. Sensen comes back to the plate.
Continues at bat. He's down one and two with one out.
More begins his wind up, delivers. That ball is another solid hit into center.
This one, not a near, not as low as his first hit, but on the same path.
It was on the left. Actually, a little clearly towards the left second base.
and fencing is two for two on the day.
So he reaches first.
32 Rocco tuna steps up to the plate,
which is delivered about head height for ball one.
We'll see with a ready pitcher of Svensson,
still taking a bit of a conservative lead.
Just delivered for strike one.
Count is now one-on-one with one out,
and spenson on first.
It's delivered ball two.
Just outside.
Keep an eye on the
runner on first.
See if they're going to risk it.
It's an known base
Steeler.
Picture checks him.
It just thrown.
Looks low.
Yeah.
Low for ball three.
Three and one count.
Tarako steps back in
and looks to either take a walk
or advance fencing.
Breathe some more life into this game.
Where delivers,
ball outside.
Oh, nope.
Rocco lost his bat and was walking to first.
Thought that was ball four, but I'm calling back with strike two.
We have a full count.
One out.
And on first.
This pitcher really likes to put things on the edge.
A lot of close calls.
It's going to come set five seconds on the pitch clock.
This is wind up.
That ball is hammered foul.
too far for the right fielder to catch that was right up against the bullpen of the Hillsdale
Chargers in right field should say that will be a uh cold a bonus pitch for
Rocco as he steps in with the full count again so uh even more still on the mound
comes set ready to deliver is it and that's chopped
fielded by the third baseman who gets fencing out at second, but
Rocco is safe at first.
That ball was hit, it bounced off the turf and went up pretty high,
and the third basement had to jump up to get it.
Tough play, but it will get fencing out at second and made an attempt for a double play
at first, but Rocco was fast enough to beat it out.
Nolan Copens up to bat.
for the chargers.
Just delivered.
It looks low for ball one.
Two outs, man on first.
See if Hillsdale can do anything with this
with more still pitching.
Filed off off the back netting.
About hit the Empire again.
Coming back off the knitting.
Should build a bunker for them.
Yeah, for real.
So, 101 count, two outs.
And man on first.
pitcher slowly checks him
delivers
that is
hit foul
bounces right
towards the first
baseman but
in play
off in there
as
Rocco returns
tags up on first
we're back in play
with a one and two
count two outs
one on
second baseman
looking getting
closer to the first
pitch delivered
looks low
but
I sure really wanted that
call. Lucky for
Coppins that
is able to stay in this count
with 2-2. Pitch
delivered. All is chopped.
Right done.
It's in the basement.
Sorry, short stop.
Makes the play, throws the first.
It's a close out, but
gets Finley out of this inning with no
damage done.

What's in a Name on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM. Today we'll be taking a trip to one of the most
famous cities in the world. New York, New York. Its origins start back in 1624 when a group of
Dutch colonists settled on Manhattan Island, founding what came to be known as New Amsterdam. When the
British gained control of the area in 1664, King Charles I gave the lands to his brother,
the Duke of York, temporarily changing the city's name to New York. This became its permanent
title in 1674, a full
century before the founding of the United States.
Another nickname you may have heard
for the city is The Big Apple. This was
popularized in the 1920s by horse racing
journalist John J. Fitzgerald.
Jazz musicians also started
using the term further spreading the name
in the late 1920s and 30s.
It slowly died out but was brought back in
tourist campaigns in the 1970s,
solidifying its place as the Big Apple.

If that voice sounded familiar, that was me in my show that I do for radio, what I'm not calling baseball games, which is honestly most of the time.
So, we're at the top of the fourth.
The Chargers are currently down 12 to 1 and looking to make it a quick, quick start.
of the inning and get back to hopefully get some runs as uh kegan schneider for the uh university of finley
oiler steps up to the plate see if hillsdale can get out of this quickly as uh colin lang still pitching
for the chargers no one in the uh bullpen just yet delivers his first pitch strike one
Good start for the Chargers for this inning.
If you can keep this momentum.
Lange come set.
Ready to deliver.
Throws.
Down the middle.
Probably a little low, but...
Strike two.
Yep.
Good pitch.
Ahead, 02.
Let's see if the Chargers can get this out.
I'll be looking at an off-speed pitch here,
or maybe a fastball high and up.
Breaking ball, far and away.
then comes set
ready to deliver
so our B makes a little bit
of noise in the crowd mic
that ball is
tad inside and up
for ball two
two and two count nobody on nobody out
so
Lank steps on
comes set
five on the pitch clock
Lange delivers
that ball is followed up
first basement making an effort but that ball
and foul.
And the field to the right of the stadium.
Yeah, out of play, unfortunately.
But still, good pitch.
A bit of a battle going on here.
That was the fifth pitch delivered.
We look for pitch number six, two and two.
Delivered, popped up again, going foul.
First baseman looking to make a play.
Out of play again, same field.
A little closer, though.
Mm-hmm.
A little more spin.
Hopefully keep that in play.
And then they're out as that was pitch number six.
Still two and two count.
Nobody on, nobody out.
It's laying on the mound.
Just comes set.
You need to pitch.
It's motion.
Check to swing.
That's a ball.
Yeah.
Full count.
Yeah, full count.
Call the ball.
Catcher went.
challenge for the first base hump called safe did not go so we now have a full count just delivered
ball four that just about thumbs up charges afternoon right now where a lot of great effort going in
a lot of great play a couple opportunities but and finley gets another runner on base.
as number five
Mike Scrito
comes up to the plate
Empire signals for the pitch clock to start
a tad late is
Lang delivers
outside for ball one
runner conservative lead at first
it's a tad bit
more aggressive now but
the reason is Lang delivers
outside corner for strike one
that's good
Mm-hmm.
I think checks his runner.
Delivers.
Ooh, inside pitch.
Looks close to hitting him, but better swings.
Files it to the backstop.
Strike two, you've been one and two count now.
Getting a little interesting, hopefully.
Hopefully.
Come set.
Mound delivers the pitch.
Ooh, good attempt at framing it, but umpside just tad outside.
agree with them so we now have a two-and-two count running on first nobody out the charges are playing
a little bit more in from when they usually are hopefully trying to turn two as that is strike three
batter got a piece of it but our catcher number 26 Ryan wee was able to hold on and screw the out
for the chargers number 13 for the oilers is up to bat drew Tucker
It gives the pitch outside
We get the batter swinging
That was nice
That was nice
Nice swinging and a miss
Got a lot of air there
Come set
Delivers
Outside
Bowl 1-1-1 count one out
One-on first doesn't
Look isn't looking to be
That aggressive
They don't really need to be
When you're up 11 runs
Better stay conservative
and make opponent work for each and every out.
No reason to give them any as that next pitch is fouled out of play for strike two.
To the same area as the last few fouls were to the right outside of the Hillsdale dugout.
I should get a bucket and just start collecting.
Breaking ball came down.
I'm called it strike three after a bit of a moment of pause.
Hillsdale gets a second out.
This is what we like to see.
Yeah, especially.
The shortstop number seven.
Come in a little bit more confidence here.
I'll have a few runs in the second, but it's bowed back and allowed zero in the third.
And we'll see if he can continue the zero runs loud streak into this fourth inning.
As he comes set and delivers, strike one.
Oh, the R.B is back.
Still.
Same high.
Yeah.
Number seven, Nick Palm, up to that.
Like delivers inside for ball one.
One-on-one count.
Top of the fourth.
Come set.
Checks his runner.
Delvers.
That's ground to the shortstop who makes the play at second.
for the third out of the inning.
As Hillsdale escapes,
the second straight inning with zero runs loud,
you'll come back to us for the bottom of the fourth.

Welcome back to Linda and Glinda Hills Stadium.
Hillsdale Chargers are down to fold to one.
The bottom of the fourth.
Come up to bat.
Hopefully trying to shrink this lead.
When the lives come on, everybody's...
A little bit of country music has number 30.
Will Lema.
It comes up to that.
From Dallas, Texas, which might explain the country music.
Even though the score is 12-1,
they've had seven hits, the Oilers and three for the Chargers.
That ball is Ropes.
First pitch into the gap.
That'll be a stand-up double for the Chargers.
Nice solid hit.
Good start to the inning.
To the bottom of the inning, I should say.
You know, 14 more of those.
Interesting choice of music.
I'd prefer it overcountry.
Jake Figman comes up.
Still pitching for the Oilers is number 19, Ethan Moore.
out for his fourth straight inning
as Fickman's seeing him for the second time.
Hopefully he can make this work.
Call strike one.
So Fickman nods.
I'll just strike on an O one count
as the Oilers are actually going to hold the runner
at second fairly close.
Second baseman playing almost on top of the bag
as that pitch is fouled off strike two.
Fickman steps back into the box, ready to see the next pitch.
Income set, ready to deliver.
Checks the runner.
Livers.
Breaking ball gets Figman on it.
That'll be the first out for the Oilers.
Tyler Sowers from Wheaton, Illinois.
A black hole of Chicago.
He steps in.
Runner's still on second.
looking to get him home
or delivers
strike one
on the middle
short stop playing
fairly deep
just on the edge of the
infield
comes set ready to deliver
checks his runner
delivers high head level
for ball number one
one one one
one's across the board
those don't can get another
11 runs.
Tie this game up.
Another pitch.
Swinging is Tyler Sowers.
Didn't get a piece of it.
It's now down 1 and 2.
Ethan Moore turns to the mound.
Come set.
Ready to deliver.
Checks the runner twice.
Delivers.
Ooh, close.
Low and away.
But call the ball.
It's now 2 and 2.
Sowers gives an extra life is that pitch was close.
The pitcher wanted it.
Pitch clock reset called for it as Sauer stepped out of the batters box.
Delivers the pitch.
That ball is hit well into right field and it is caught.
So that ball gets down.
A runner in second went halfway between second and third looking to score.
But that ball was caught.
and he will stay at second.
It's a pop-out.
It will be recorded.
26 Ryan Wehi.
Steps up to the plate.
Two outs.
Runner on second.
Let's see what he can do.
Pitch delivered.
Breaking ball for strike one.
Our checks with his catcher.
Five seconds on the pitch clock comes set.
Delivers.
That ball is grounded foul.
down the third base line.
Some more advice given out by the
Finley dugout about fielding as
wee steps back in
trying to cut down at this
Finley lead
or comes set.
Second base been really leaning over.
That is a foul ball.
It didn't
look foul.
Did you call it foul?
Yeah, I'm called a foul, which will send,
third basement had no chance to throw the runner out at first.
A bit of a lucky break there for Finley.
Not sure they needed it, but that will send the runner who ended up going to third.
I'll send him back to second.
So we will have an 0 and 2 count, a bit of an unlucky break, really, for the Hillsdale Chargers.
It looks like they were just about to get something going.
Will Lehman is the runner on second base.
Number 33.
Oh, come on a second.
Are you sure?
It would be a challenge.
Finley has a bit of a shift on with second baseman playing to the left of second base.
Really looking to get play out there to get the runner on second out.
Beatrice does we see if we have a history of hitting to the left of the pitcher's mound.
it would be a reasonable strategy.
I know this strategy is banned in major leagues,
but I guess it hasn't caught up in college.
That pitch is delivered, thrown wide,
or thrown outside.
Healthy distance out there for ball one.
I have to ask a couple guys on the baseball team.
That's what Finley is doing is legal.
I'm not sure what the difference between college and major league rules are.
But next pitch is delivered for ball too.
What?
They're playing to the left.
Yeah.
Typically, major league, you have to have,
you draw a line from home plate to second.
You have to have two on each side.
They have to be in the infield.
You're super strong out.
Yeah.
Almost got away from the catcher,
and we could have seen extra base.
Stolen, but nice field.
Three and two, full count.
Runner.
We'll see if he goes
Or he delivers
Oh, got him chasing
Strike number three
That is
End of the inning
Chargers
Didn't score any runs there
And we'll see you again
At the top of the fifth

Hillsdale Chargers are still down
12 to 1
2 scoreless innings from the
bombarding that
Finley was able to do in the first two innings
scoring 12 and 2
off 7 hits, two errors.
As Hillsdale scored
one run off four hits
key contributing factor for the oilers.
Since Ben Hillsdale had walked a lot of batters,
but recently,
pitcher number 29,
Colin Lang, was able to get it under control
and has kept it scoreless for these two innings
as he is still starting
with some activity in the bullpen right now,
but he, you know, still out there,
gets called strike one.
Back on the mound delivers.
Ball one that skipped away from the catcher.
It seemed to be low.
Playing comes set, delivers.
Call ball two, and this is to Keelan Daniel, Finley.
The batter who is second in the lineup for the Oilers.
Come set, delivers, down the middle for strike number two.
two two and two count.
Let's see if Lang could start the inning off on high note.
Getting out.
Lots of full counts this game, I feel.
A lot of extra pitching as Lang delivers.
Far outside.
It's called it.
A full count.
Yep.
Maybe I shouldn't have said anything.
I might have jinxed it.
I'll say nothing about what's going to happen.
We're just going to let it happen.
Pitch delivered, fouled off.
Lange put that ball a little high, little up, but still in the zone as Keel and Daniel took a swing at it,
followed it up high towards the netting and would have gone into the upper rows of the stands.
Lang squares up, gets in his windup, delivers.
Another foul pitch, this one delivered over the dugout.
Way out to the left.
Daniel, just moving that.
ball closer and closer fair.
Mm-hmm.
Either of them were in play, but...
Let's see as
pitch is delivered far outside,
no chance with that one.
Keelan gets...
Sorry, Keel and Daniel,
two first names.
Daniel gets the walk.
Fortunate.
Hillsdale's infielders
creeping in a little bit, looking to hopefully turn a
double play. This pitch is delivered. It's number 17. Casey Murriac. Strike one.
Laying back on it. Bowles grounded straight to the third basement Rocco. Over second,
back to first. Called safe at first, out at second. Close play. Much you can do there, but it's a good
attempt. Almost turned to double play there, but I'm pulled safe. It's a close. Good effort.
Mm-hmm.
So number 15, Luke Steffen steps in.
One runner on first.
Pitch delivered for strike one.
It's close.
Left-handed hitter.
The pitch looked a little bit high, call for ball one.
One-on-one count, one out.
Runner on first.
See right here, top of the fifth.
Linkin set, pick-off attempt.
too close
batter
wasn't on the
complete balls of his feet but was able to get
in low safe
at first
look as
laying
organizes himself and
runner goes
that pitch is fouled off
sent towards the
Hillsdale dugout for
strike number two
got a one and two count
One out.
Top of the fifth against the Finley Oilers.
Laying comes set.
There's a pitch, and that is sent into left field.
Whatever left field there's under it.
Good catch.
They would cleanly field it and deliver it to the infield.
That is the second out of the inning.
Jake Figman, number 14, with the catch for the Hillstale Chargers
to get the out.
Seems that left side of the base,
Rocco, Aaron, and Rocco, Gisick, and Figman
are all accounting classes with me,
so that's a nice little fun fact.
As Smith is at bat,
gets a fall tip on
first pitch for strike one.
It's a pretty pitch delivered high
in the zone, but still roll the strike,
oh and two.
A little bit of a breaking ball it looked like, but it's a little fast in the thing's toolbox is that pitch is followed off once again.
Ball is delivered back to the mound to Lang.
It's looking to get Hillsdale out of this thing with minimal damage.
Two outs.
Runner on first.
Two strikes.
Lang comes set.
Livers.
Runner goes.
That ball is lined.
to center field and caught.
They get out of it.
Still 12 to 1.

We're at the bottom of the fifth.
Chargers are down, 12-1,
against the Finley Oilers.
About to see if they can get some runs back and get the score a little closer.
This is the first game of two today.
Double header for today is,
I believe,
oilers pitcher Ethan Moore is going to remain out there for his fifth inning of duty.
It's our bumblebee
And the booth is still here
And making noise in the crowd mic
More delivers strike one
Two batterer
Look at his number after this pitch
It's Billy Paratsky number 18
Nice
Yeah
A ball thrown
Far outside
It'll be a one-on-one
Count
Nobody on nobody out
Or delivers another pitch
Ooh, bit of a breaking ball inside for strike number two.
Kind of fooled Brotsky.
The count's now one and two.
It delivers.
Brotsky gets a piece of it, but that's caught as a flyout to right field.
It's the first out.
As bottom of the order, Erjcic comes up to bat.
Nilsdale looking to make something happen in this game as, uh, just sick.
Ready for the pitch.
Comes delivered.
Checks his swing, but called strike one.
A looking.
Pitch moved a little bit towards the outside, but still stayed within the paint.
Far out wide on that one.
The first ball.
Yep. Let's see.
Next pitch delivered.
Strike two, outside corner.
One, two, count.
Nobody on, nobody out.
See if Aaron can, or sorry, Jisick,
Aaron Jysk can get around on it.
Quick pitch.
Pops fall.
Let's behind,
the building that we're in to call the game.
Out of play.
Let's see if we can snag one as we head out after this game.
stick around though because the second game of the double header will happen immediately right after this
as another pitch delivered that one in the turf bounced up and over and behind the catcher in the ump for ball number two
as we now have a two and two count more winds up delivers Aaron gets a piece of that one sends it in the gap between center and
left field
gets a stand-up double
the ball is cut off
early before
in a shallow part of
left field as
Hillsdale gets a base runner
hopefully they can do something with it
especially coming to the top of the lineup
Gerd Swenson who has been two for two
with
a few solid hits up the middle
if he can repeat what he did the first two times he can get an RBI as Jisick is a fast enough
base runner as just he actually breaks for third and he's safe nice
I think that's the first successful steal on the Chargers part today just as
I was mentioned of Jusick's speed he takes advantage I don't believe MIR checked him actually
is routine as
Svensson
hits a line drive
foul
ends up hitting up against the bullpen
and check that angle
keep that fair
as he has a one-on-one count with one-out and one man on
next pitch is delivered
breaking ball full Svensson
as that is a
strike two
for
or sorry,
MIR, comes up on the mound,
goes in his wind-up, delivers,
and that is a check-swing
grounder that
will earn a
sacrifice grounder, RBI,
as
Benson is out at first, but
Gisick will score from third
as the charges are now only down
12 to 2
as Rocco.
comes to the plate.
It's just delivered.
And that'll be ball one.
Next pitch.
Ooh, down low.
Boko Tintana gets lucky on that one.
Ball two.
Oh, and two count.
Two out.
Next pitch.
Ooh, outside corner for strike number one.
Two and one count.
This pitcher really likes the outside corner.
Yeah, it's been doing pretty well this.
game, you know, two runs across five innings. Rocco lines that one into shallow left,
earns himself a single as the left filter cuts it off and prevents extra bases.
There's a native winner number.
No answer comes up to bat.
So it's not mer.
Checks Rocco at first.
Not sure Rocco's going to steal, but first pitch popped up.
in the fields.
I think I just heard that one drop on the other side.
Take a moment to acknowledge the Hillsdale Club Cross Country team running around the
just went behind the left field now.
They're taking this as part of their course.
Next pitch is delivered fall one.
One-on, two out.
It's a beautiful day for sports.
I saw the tennis team.
work on my walk in too.
Pitch is delivered and that is
hit solidly in the right
field but it's foul, goes
foul, hit up against the wall.
I believe that's the
Academy team. It might have been
Hillsdale Academy.
I think I saw some
Hornet logos out there
which is the logo for our academy.
MIR
can set ready to deliver the next
pitch one and two count
to the foul ball. That is
rips down, easy play for the short stop.
Draco was unable to beat him that to second.
It would have been a really fast runner.
But play as Hillsdale scores another one,
the bottom of the fifth,
which is now 12 to 2.

Welcome back to Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM coverage of the Hillsdale Chargers baseball game against the Finley Oilers.
The Chargers are currently down 12 to 2 at the top of the 6th.
We were able to get a run in last inning.
Hopefully we can keep the momentum going, momentum going in this one.
Number six, Nate Albany's comes in for relief in the top of the sixth inning.
Let's see as a throwdown to second was well put.
Number 26 of the Hillsdale Chargers, Ryan Wehey is still catching.
Number 12 for the Finley Oilers.
Mason Myers comes to the plate.
Finley hasn't scored a run in three innings.
So they can try and change that, but hopefully not.
Albany's throws high and up for ball one.
I'm set ready to deliver the next pitch.
It's a popped foul out of play for strike one.
Lots to collect today outside of the stadium.
Getting into the foul ball budget of Hillsdale.
These teams are.
Next pitch from Albanyes is delivered and that's too high.
Ball number two.
It takes a bit of a moment to relax on the
amount.
Come set.
About 10 seconds left.
Just delivered low.
Strike one.
I'm sure I was strike two.
I forgot about the fall ball, but that one better.
Didn't like that call, but
unfortunate for the charges, we got it.
And it's two-two count, nobody on, nobody out.
Albany's these motion delivers.
Another swing and a miss.
Yeah, catcher dropped it, but gets the tag,
securing the yellow.
out and it's the first out of the inning.
It's the Chargers first throw around to the game.
It's always good to see.
Rocco Tintura delivers the ball to his pitcher.
And we'll see if they can keep this momentum up.
Number 10, Keekin Snyder, catcher steps up to the plate.
He moves ball far outside, low in away, hits the turf for skipping up over the catcher's
mint and the backstop.
So I'm gonna set on the mound, ready to deliver the next pitch.
So his motion delivers for ball one, sorry, ball two, apologies.
Only steps back in, steps back on the mound, come set, ready to deliver.
This motion, another pitch, third straight, out and away.
He's taking some time, walking around the mound a little bit.
and steps on comes set with 10 seconds left nods at his catcher begins his motion throws a fourth ball to the backstop
sorry fourth ball long away this one goes all the way to the backstop and Snyder takes a slow try at the first base
now that in the third base from number five Mike Certino so Certino steps in five on the
Finley Oilers.
One out, the top of the sixth.
Checks the runner.
Pauses a bit, 10 seconds on the pitch clock,
pitch delivered, inside for ball one.
Five, next Grito,
waiting for the next pitch,
sees it far outside for ball two.
The Albany's
makes a bit more time to refocus
and rethink himself as he's thrown
at least three or four straight balls.
Let's see if he can fix that.
Pitch up, down and away again.
Seventh ball out far to the outside.
This is now a three and a count
for the Hillsdale Charger,
for the Chargers pitching against the Finley-Orenlers.
B is back in the Cobbike.
Should name him.
Right.
And then is a fourth straight ball
to advance the runner to set.
And now there's two on, one out as catcher calls timeout.
Chatting with the pitcher and...
Infield timeout.
Try to think of a name that's a baseball pun for the B.
Nothing comes to mind right now.
Oh.
Instead of pinstripes, B stripes.
I just call them stripes.
I like stripes.
I aren't stripes to B.
You hear any buzzing, it stripes the bee.
Not better, the second base on number 13, Drew Tucker.
Yeah, timeout over.
Drew Tucker steps in.
Face, Nate, Albanese.
Hopefully that talk gave him the push he needed to get his head in the game.
It's delivered.
Ooh, called Strike 1 looking.
It's a good outcome.
Mm-hmm.
Just gave him the motivation he needs.
Badgers first and second.
Double play opportunity at every base but home.
Falls delivered.
Ooh.
Turn out top.
Yeah, a little high.
One in one count.
All the knees comes set.
Checks his runner.
Second baseman dancing a little bit.
It's just thrown high.
Yeah, it looks pretty close to eye level.
All of these comes.
set it once again
ready to deliver
ends in motion
throws it outside for ball three
three and one counts
as
I'm looking at stripes
he's really trying to get out but
Albany's come set
on the mound five seconds on the pitch
clock delivers with three
that ball goes to the backstop
for ball four
a couple words exchanged
between the pitcher and the catcher
faces are
loaded for the Finley Oilers.
So we get back to the start lineup with Nick Palm leading off.
Who has the lead off?
I think it's his fourth time up to bat.
Yeah, fourth or fifth?
It's up there.
Yeah, fourth, fourth time.
Sounds about right.
It's delivered, hooked foul.
We'll be able to see on the app and check.
But I believe this is his fifth time, at least, as
They were able to, he was able to, might be a sixth as they were able to get around.
He had his third at bat in the second inning.
There's next pitch from, May Albanese has delivered.
Ball one.
One-on count went out.
Two on at second and third as stripes the beat just fell down the front of our window.
Albany's delivers, and that ball is shot solidly.
caught by the center fielder that's cut off
off, not cut off, the ball bounces to the catcher,
and that keeps a runner.
That third from scoring, he took off a little early and didn't tag up.
If he had tagged up, he would have plenty of time to get in,
but a little bit of a mental error that the third base coach is letting him know about.
Bases are still loaded for Finley, two outs, looking for a third.
pitch on its way.
That is popped into
center field as one will score.
Second batter heads around
and he will score as well. That is a
two-run
single
for Keelan Daniel.
Oilers are now up
14-2.
That extends
their lead
as we will await.
Next pitch.
It's made all
Albanyes steps in ready to deliver.
There steps up on the mound as Casey Muranak.
That's in the batters box.
And now the pitch on its way.
Runners both go.
Throw to second.
No, sorry, no throw made.
Look to third pump faked.
I thought I was going to go to second maybe to look at Daniel.
But no attempt made as.
there's a strike on the pitch
O and one count runners on second and third
Comes the pitch
Smith no
Casey Murnack
It's about as tall as Smith maybe 64
6 3
Strike 2
Yeah
Outside pitch
It's all the knees
He's his leg up and delivers
Strike 3 called no swing
Looked a little
Close to the edge but
I'm decided out of strike three
and that'll be it for this inning.
Oilers get two,
leave two stranded.

Hackers have claimed to have gotten

they launched a cyber attack against
Rockstar Games this past weekend.
The group explaining they used the business

Emphasizing Rockstar data is now

Games, however, saying in a statement earlier
this week, only a limited amount of
non-material company information was

The game developer previously suffered a major hack back in 2022 by a user in the UK who threatened

Radio Free Hillsdale 101.1.7 FM. Welcome back to the live coverage of Hillsdale Chargers
baseball game against the
Finley Oilers. Chargers
are down 14
to 2 at the
bottom of the 6th.
The Oilers just
scored two runs
in the
6th, so
hopefully Hosedale
can
get some momentum
here as we get into the second
half of the game.
This is the first game of a double
header today.
And then they'll play them again twice on Monday.
Yep.
And this game, as we're in the bottom of the six,
we're going to be looking to see if the Chargers came to mouth a little bit of a comeback.
Will Lehman comes up to lead off for the Chargers in those bottom of the six inning.
As it looks like the Oilers have gone to the bullpen.
for number 23.
Connor Evanich.
Evanich comes set
from the stretch
and that check swing
filed down and back.
Number 33,
we'll even get a piece of that
on his check swing.
Manich
delivers
for strike number two.
Oh, outside corner.
Painted.
Well, painted corner
as
Linson as a
Sorry, Lehman
Gets another pitch by
Evenich, which is
far out and away for ball one.
One and two count nobody on, nobody
out. Anything
catching your eye?
Uh,
well?
Straight up, called off by the first
baseman, and that is a pop-out.
First out of the inning.
Now that in the left field,
number 14, chase the fit man.
Jake Figman comes to the plate, which is a black and yellow lead-up song.
Interesting choice.
A bit of a fan.
And it's stretch delivers that outside corner for strike one.
Ooh.
It's a well-placed pitch.
On the border, umpire called a strike, and Jake didn't swing on it.
It's a good decision as goes back.
a little more off the plate called ball one.
One-one-one on the scoreboard again.
Figman has a batting average of 0.353.
It's the highest on the team.
That pitch looked inside.
It looks like Figman started a swing
and it might have hit his bat before hitting him,
but he'll remain in the batters box
as he gets up to a one-and-two count.
A bit unfortunate.
if he had ducked his shoulder, he could have earned a walk,
but he's the type of hitter where he wants to put barrel on the ball.
The next pitch is gone, down low for ball two.
Two and two count, one out.
Nobody on, nobody yet, or one out.
That ball is hit to the second baseman,
and that is thrown out at first.
As the second baseman was able to track all the way
to the left side of first base,
to make the play.
The throw was just a bit faster than Vigman was able to run to get to first.
For 21 to showers.
Comes up to the plate.
It's in pitch, delivered.
Hits him.
Sounded like his bat.
Yeah.
Almost.
But Paul Hessian, he gets a free ride to first base as Ryan Weigh.
26 Ryan Wheatie.
Trini comes in to hit, well.
I like his walkout song.
Good taste of music.
So pitch delivered far outside, no chance.
They counter, evidence, evenich.
Checks his runner.
One and no counts.
Two out.
Next pitch.
High enough.
up.
But,
and there, two and no count.
Even it just steps back on the mound.
Next pitch, popped foul out of play.
Another souvenir, if anyone's going to find it.
Oh, I can see that.
It's up on the hill.
No one gets it.
I'll go and grab it.
Start a collection.
Yeah.
Maybe after game two, if I'm still around,
I could go and redeem it for a,
baseball card.
Have him sign it?
Uh-huh.
And it checks back to first.
Runner was not really that far out.
Stripes the beat, getting in the crowd, Mike,
as unfortunately Finley baseball players
going behind the dugout to go get that ball.
There are plenty of others.
That pitch gets away from the catcher.
It's down, out and away.
Ball three.
21, Tyler Sowers, goes to Steele second,
is successful.
Man on second, two outs,
one strike, three balls.
Second baseman is actually playing
to the left of second base behind SARS.
Really shifted over.
Yeah, that ball is roped deep
to the wall at the warning track
and caught by the center fielder.
Unlucky, hit that ball about 380,
375. It just had a little more oomph.
I've got to put that over the wall.
That's the third out of the inning.
So we're looking to go into the top of the seventh.
You're listening to Chargers Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
And these are the most impactful moments in American history.
February 23, 1846, the people of Philadelphia gather together to celebrate the birth
of the nation's first president, George Washington.
As in previous years, the president's birth was celebrated by ringing the liberty bell,
which by most accounts was one of the bells rung on July 4th, 1776
to celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Over the years, the bell was rung to signify celebrations, protests, and revolution.
These monumental moments left indelible marks on the bell, both figuratively and literally.
But it was during this historic celebration that the crack deepened and the bell was silence for good.
Despite its fracture, the Liberty Bell became a symbol of American independence,
proving you don't need a perfect bell to let freedom ring.

We're here at the Linda Englenda Hills Stadium at the Chargers baseball game against the University of F.m.
Finley, the Oilers, the chargers are down 14-2, top of the 7th,
looking to make that gap a little less wide in this, hopefully quick first half of the 7th.
Yeah, he was going to try and keep Finley off the board as.
Finley had had another two runs last inning.
May Albany's continues to pitch for the,
Chargers. Number 26 is Ryan Wehey is still the catcher.
I believe that's number 15 Luke Stephan hitting for the Oilers.
Pitch, and that pitch is roped into center.
Deep ball hits the warning track and one hops the fence for a ground rule double.
Stefan, the cleanup batter for the Oilers.
get that ball solidly into center.
So one hopper over the fence
and he'll stay at second
as number 22
Gavin Smith comes to bat.
Albanyes comes set, ready to pitch.
Livers.
That ball is popped up high
into center. Center field are coming under it.
Makes the snag.
That was number 16.
Guard Swenson who caught the
Hop-up ball for the first out of the inning.
Pinch hitting for the Oilers, number one, Eden Booth.
In Booth comes into the game.
Pinch hitting.
See if it's that strike free yet.
I'll have to do it after the game, probably.
Yeah.
Those just joining us.
Stripe is the B that got trapped.
And I think is the pitch hit on the first pitch of his at bat.
A bit unlucky.
He's looking to get an opportunity.
Instead, he gets a ball in the back as Kugin Snyder will now step up to the plate with the runner on first and second.
Now that in the picture number 10, Keevan.
Glancing at the scoreboard, a tale of two different teams.
Heldsdale with six hits, two runs.
Oilers with nine hits, 14 runs.
as the pitch delivered skips out in front of catcher Ryan Wehi
but is fielded in time to prevent the base runner from
prevent the base runners from advancing
Albany's steps back in delivers outside part of the plate for strike one
it's an impressive pitch
Hopefully you can do it again
All the knees.
It delivers, throws it high for ball one.
Interesting pitch delivery.
We'll see if he tries tunneling for the next pitch.
It's easy if he can fool the batter with that up high pitch.
Tunneling just for those who aren't aware is a strategy where the pitcher tries to release the ball at the same point and have to follow the same trajectory.
As that pitch gets away from him goes down and away for ball.
number three. Now with a three and one count with a little activity in the Hillsdale
dugout as two pitchers are starting to get warm. One is throwing some bullpen. The other is just
warming up. It says, you know, this is a double header and there's a second game immediately after
this one. So I'm trying to expect after the one of the students, ready to start the next game as
that pitch is down the middle and filed off out of play behind the Hillsdale dugout, as is now
three and two count with one out.
Two runners on base,
one on the first one on second.
One needs takes a moment,
fouls, another foul ball.
Batters staying
alive. Ian Snyder,
doing his best,
keep himself in the batter's box
and keep fighting.
Nees comes set, checks his runner
at second.
Gins his throwing motion.
He's a missile
grounder.
The runner's held up.
at third as all the runners advance the base and that'll be a earned single as short thought
Ernchisik could not get there could not get over to the ball to field in time as that was a rocket
hit off solid part of the barrel on the turf it's like taking a time out here to call meeting it
I'm actually going to relieve their pitcher and bring in someone new it's not it all
Tobinies is retired, and the chargers are bringing in number 27.
Yep, which is Colin Tobin.
From Memphis, Tennessee.
Going to take a moment to warm up here?
Doesn't sound like Tennessee music.
No, it does not.
Great song, though.
Do you think it's overrated?
I haven't heard in a while.
Properly rated, maybe.
Properly rated?
Yeah, it's all right.
Okay.
Not a killers fan?
Not my genre.
But I'm still decent, glad.
It's represented someone's got it in Atlanta.
Better than country, I'd say.
What would be your walkout song?
Barbie's Dreamcastle song.
That would be a choice, for sure.
That or like some death metal scare.
Nothing in between.
They put the other team on edge somehow.
Yeah.
I haven't changed.
First inning's the death metal.
Second one's the Barbie.
Every other.
Fool the pitcher.
You won't realize it's the same guy.
Use it to your advantage.
Especially if I go out on three pitches, three strikes in the first inning,
you bet I'm switching that walk-up song.
What I would do.
We've got a lot of options.
I know.
Maybe classic rock.
I really think, I really, I don't know why I'm getting a,
you know, ramble on by Led Zeppelin.
Now the time, the time is now.
It's a, it actually is about the Lord of the Rings.
This song is.
It's really, it's cool.
You should, you should listen to it.
Oh, it's a playlist.
Yeah.
Where stripes go.
I think he fell down into the, oh, here.
Yeah, there is.
You have to open the screen.
All right.
This first.
pitch of the of the game.
Base is loaded.
No pressure.
Nope, not at all.
He's calling total delivers.
Hits him in the helmet,
walks another runner in.
Oh, that's one of the worst ways
you could start an inning.
Feel for him.
Shake it off, though.
He'll come back and ready to throw his next pitch.
Mm-hmm.
As there's a timeout on the field.
The oil is number 27.
Yeah.
First base coach checking in on his runner at first, making sure his head's all right.
I'm called at times.
The pitch clock would start.
So number 27, deal winnings steps in.
Pitch on his way, far outside.
Which returns to his mound.
Steps on, comes set.
Ready to deliver.
There's a little bit. Delivers down low. Catcher blocks. It keeps it in front of them for ball number two. Colin Tobin takes a little bit extra time.
Steps on with 10 seconds on the left on the pitch clock. It comes set with seven. Six, five. Getting ready to deliver. Delivers with two seconds. Outside. Number three. Three oh count. Not a good start. Mr. Colin Tobin.
so we can get a strike across and hopefully get this batter to bite as a double play here would have the inning and it's got a force everywhere.
Tobin with the pitch inside a little bit but called a strike.
Badder ducked his head a little bit looking to bait the umpire and calling that a ball and earning himself a walk but no luck there.
The pitch, that one's grounded foul almost caught by the third base coach but he's.
He's got some butterfingers.
Second time he's done that today.
You now have a full count one out.
The Finley dugout is a little active, chanting.
They've been pretty active the whole game, really.
Oh, yeah, definitely a team that's really involved.
Very spirited.
It gets ready to deliver the pitch.
Throws it.
Ball four.
Another run gets walked in.
Chargers are now down 16 to 2.
Unfortunate.
Very unfortunate.
Hopefully they can shake it off for the next game and bring it back.
Faces are loaded for the Finley Oilers, number seven up to that.
Nick Palm, who is the top of the lineup.
As we await the next pitch.
Strike one.
Colin Toler finds the zones.
starts his.
It makes batter off on right foot able to earn his first strike.
Pitch is delivered outside under ball one.
All ones once again.
As number 27, Colin Tobin resets, delivers the next pitch.
Check, swing from the batter.
It seems that he went.
Yeah, strike two.
It's a one and two count.
Base is loaded.
On out.
Double plays in effect.
We'll see if Stone can force that with the grounder here.
It's delivered.
No contact there.
Strike three.
Ball might have hit the dirt.
But since bases are loaded, there is no need to make the tag as the catcher can touch home and secure the out and drop third.
But, yeah, number 28.
I'm kidding for the oilers.
Number 28.
Evan Reiter.
Evan Reiger.
He'll step in.
Pire signals for the pitch clock to start up again.
Tobin comes set.
Looking to end the first part of the seventh inning.
Ball one.
That one was a fair bit off the plate.
Tobin comes set again.
Ready to deliver the next pitch.
Way outside.
ball number two.
Just a reminder that this is game one of a double header.
Two will follow.
Take a short break to allow the teams regroup,
and then they will get together to begin the second game.
Time is called.
Tobin and the better get to step off,
and now they're both re-engage with 13 on the pitch clock.
Tobin's been set, delivers,
down the middle for a strike,
Two and one count, two outs.
Not only is this a double hitter for a team, but stick around,
and there will be another broadcast from Radio Free Hillsdale for the second game.
It won't be us, but they'll be just as good.
Maybe better.
A lot of strikes here as well, maybe.
Yes, maybe.
All right, that pitch down and away for ball three.
double working himself into a bit of a jam
three and one count two out spaces loaded
Tobin can do
Chargers are down 16-2
Mall 4 walks another batter
Make that's 17 2
Yep
Drives in the third run of
The inning
Now that in the center fielder number is 17
Casey Maroney at
17 up to bat here
Casey Maruniac
Pitching is still
Colin Tobin
fourth pitcher of the game
first ball
ball one low and away again
Tobin's struggling for control
and called strike one
that ball was in the zone
and Finley's batter
number 17 Casey Murrieneck
called
or look to check his swing there
to Tobin gets ready to
delivers next offering.
Down low for ball number two.
Two outs.
Top of the seventh.
This pitch is delivered, and that is roped.
In the left field, gets by one-run scores, two-run score,
and that is a two-run RBI double.
Hillsdale Chargers now down 19 to 2.
Not much for us to commentate on right now, unfortunately.
Tobin brings forth his next offering just off the plate.
It is 19 to 2.
Ooh, it's not so good.
The Oilers have added five runs to their lead in this inning alone,
seven in the last two.
It's followed off how to play.
The Oilers' overall record is 24 to 14,
with their away record 14 to 8.
Hillsdale's overall record is 17 to 19,
with their home record 6 to 4.
The ball's roped foul.
Hits a shed out beyond the field.
First basement out wide.
Comes the pitch.
Balls popped foul out of play.
One and two count.
Two outs as Hillsdale looks to get the final out of the inning
and get out of this with some dignity.
Go in, confett.
The liver is fouled up.
off to the backstop.
Some chatter between the catcher and the umpire here.
Catcher trying to earn himself a strike.
There steps into the box, catcher.
He's still chatting up the omp, bends down now.
Fish o'clock is started.
Tobin gets ready to deliver the next pitch.
Number 15, Luke Senton,
senton up to bat for the Oilers.
Tobin delivers that pitch far,
away outside.
Ball number two, it's a
2-2-2. Across the
scoreboard, two balls, two strikes,
two outs, and two on.
Hey, would you look at that?
That ball gets ropes deep
into right field,
off the back wall. That will score
two runs. That'll be
a sliding-in-double
as the throw gets there
just a bit late.
A decent bit late.
It's the Oilers.
adds to their lead and have now reached 21 to Hillsdale's 2.
At this point, just looking to end the inning.
Says there are two outs, zero ball, zero strikes.
Here's the pitch, swing, deep cut and miss.
Number 22, Gavin Smith up to bat for the Oilers.
We'll see here.
Smith, kids.
Oh, bean.
That looks like it hurt.
Off his back and some chirps coming from the Finley workout.
How fast those balls going?
You really don't want to get hit.
It's got a sting.
Now two runners on base, first and second.
Number one to bat.
Aiden Booth.
Tobin delivers for strike one.
Good pitch.
It wasn't even thinking about it.
I believe Booth.
I don't believe Booth started the game.
It's just been subbed in.
Mm-hmm.
That pitch delivered.
Four.
I believe it was a ball, but scoreboard hasn't updated to confirm.
Oh, there it is.
Yep, one-on.
and just wanted to make sure
but it looked far and away.
I didn't give a signal and
believed there was a ball, but just had to make sure you never know.
Pitches in there.
Low as well, about the same spot.
Two and one is the count.
Getting close to the end of the season here
as they get closer to the end of the school year.
Tobin delivers.
Strike.
Nope.
Another ball.
Three and one is the count.
Three straight balls.
Still two outs, looking to get a third.
Turn.
It's been the top of the sixth.
Sorry, seven.
Seven runs in the seventh inning for Finley.
Ball four.
Another walk.
Kalantelbenezzi loads the bases.
And another mound meeting has been called.
It's a check if there was any activity going on in the,
didn't quite see.
In the, well, it might be warming up.
21 to 2 against the Chargers.
Not the best score ever.
Not exactly what you want to see going into a double header
and three more games to be played against the University of Finley.
But hopefully they don't let it go to their heads for the next game today,
which will be immediately after this.
Next pitch, Tobin, after.
after his mom was ready to deliver.
It's a strike call.
Good for him.
Nice.
It's always good to see when a team comes out of a huddle
that they're able to get a nice quick strike on the batter.
It shows him.
It's a composure back with the pitcher.
Tobin breaking ball fools the batter who swung on air and missed.
Tobin steps back on his rubber
and prepares to deliver the next pitch.
Deliver's, ooh, did he go?
Yep, that's the third out.
Strike three called swinging.
Put the Chargers out of their misery.
Going into the bottom of the seventh here after the break,

Stories of those who have been awarded the Medal of Honor.
This is Minute of Honor.
Here's Jenna Suhita.
On February 10th, 1970.
near Fuoklong Vietnam, specialist John Baca was setting up an ambush with his unit.
When one of the tripwires detonated in the jungle ahead, a platoon was sent to investigate.
Soon they came under intense enemy fire from concealed positions along the trail.
As they prepared to engage the enemy, a fragmentation grenade was thrown in the midst of the patrol.
Baca said later, at that moment he thought of his mother.
He called her only the day before, telling her that he was working in the post office, safe from action on the front lines.
But with the lives of his friends hanging in the balance, Baca acted quickly.
With complete disregard for his own safety, Baca used his steel helmet and his own body to cover the grenade and absorb the lethal fragments.
His conspicuous gallantry at the risk of his own life directly saved the lives of eight men.
For the extraordinary courage and selflessness he displayed on February 10th, 1970, specialist John Baca was awarded the Medal of Honor.

Welcome back to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.1.7 FM, Chargers baseball coverage here at
Linda and Glenda Hill Stadium, two hours and 45 minutes into the first game of a doubleheader against the University of Finley Oilers.
The chargers are unfortunately down 21 to 2, going into the bottom of the 7th, looking to just make that gap a little, a little less, I don't know, cavernous, I guess.
And especially going into the second game of the day,
hopefully they can keep their heads in it and bring it back next game.
I'll make a note that there's a sluttered a little in effect
that Hillsdale needs 10 runs in this inning to keep the game alive.
First pitch from Clothera Ivanovitch.
It's delivered, and that's a ball just outside.
Number 13, Dylan Whitfield is currently up to bat for the Chargers.
Fow ball towards the charger die out.
Be it count one and one.
So Whitfield has actually been subbed in to hit.
Give him an opportunity.
Getting that bat.
That pitch delivered his ball two.
Oh, stripes.
Moving up down the glass again.
That ball has hit hard to the shortstop and a nice, clean throw is made.
Number 22 in the Oilers is the first base.
Gavin Smith
That's first out of the anything
Innings.
Kentucky number 25, Carson Tucker
Carson Tucker.
Carson Tucker out to bat now.
Makes pitch
ready to be delivered.
I don't know if we've seen him before either, actually.
Tucker?
Have we?
I believe so.
I'll check.
Nope.
Tucker is also a new substitution.
That ball is cracked up, high.
Second basement got under it and secured the second out of the inning.
Jack Kilmer is up to bat.
Again, we'll see this team's able to do if Hillso can eke another runout on the board,
but like some really dominant pitching from the Finley Oilers only.
Two runs aloud through seven innings.
Really impressive.
Sorry, six point six innings.
Yeah, actually.
True, get it right.
Ivich delivers breaking ball.
Ooh, strike called.
That ball must have a lot of movement on it.
What do you think, stripes?
It delivered strike two.
Evinich finding his zone.
Yeah.
Two on the edge pitches
From what we can tell up here
But
All right
Next pitch
That was close
That was close
Same spot, same area
Looking for it
Think he's going to hunt in that same area
Do you think he's going to change it up?
I don't know
He's had pretty good
Good luck in that area so far
Wow
Went wide though
Yeah
hunts it outside, or way, way, way outside.
A bit unfortunate, but.
2-2 and 2.
Next pitch, fouled off.
Way to fight.
I always stinks being the last out of a baseball game,
so I'm sure he's fighting, at least for that,
if nothing more.
Here's the pitch.
Oh, cold strike three.
It's out on the edge.
That'll wrap up our game for today as
by Slaughter Rule, Finley wins the first game.
And there'll be a 25-minute break in between now and the second game.
So stay tuned for game two of Finley Hillsdale.
For now, it's been a fun to call for the game.
