The following is a special presentation of WRFH sports.
Baseball stadium, we are listening to Carger Baseball here on Radio for Hillsdale, 1-1.1.7 FM.
I'm Gabe Thymar.
I'm Christian Papineau.
And we are here for game two of a doubleheader of the Chargers versus University of Findlay.
Chargers took a tough loss in game one, looking to turn it around here as they're facing one of the stronger teams in the conference.
Starting on the mound in game two for the Chargers.
Your lineup for the Hillsdale Chargers is Swenson, Tanuda, Lehmann, Tucker, Sowers,
Wihi, Turner, Baratsky, Jasek, and your pitcher starting on the mound today is number 15 Palo.
For Finley, who will be batting first, we have Palm, Daniel, Mereneic,
Sennflin, Smith, Myers, Snyder, Sortino, Tucker, and the pitcher,
as we go into whatever we go to the bottom of the first inning will be Malat.
Paulo is on the mound warming up right now. Chargers are currently preparing to play Findlay.
Right now their record is 17 and 20. They are 11 and 10 in conference.
and in the hunt for a division title as they look to the GMAC championships.
And now we have poems stepping up to the plate to face Paulo.
The first pitch is grounded over to second.
He throws to first and that's the first out.
One pitch, one out for Paulo.
Next up, we've got.
got number two Keelan Daniel up to hit the 510, 170 pound senior out of Cincinnati.
Apollo is getting ready to pitch, the first pitch, and that's high and outside, ball one.
Comes set, the pitch, and that's fouled back, strike two.
Jacob Paolo, a junior out of Grand Rapids,
having a...
He's three and three on the year.
That one is fouled up the left side,
and it's a one-two count.
It's a beautiful evening for baseball right now.
It's currently 74 degrees,
partly cloudy.
There's a breeze blowing out to left field right now.
Paulo throws the one, two.
That one misses.
inside. Paulo ready to pitch again. Two, two. Outside ball three. Count is full on Daniel.
Paulo delivers. A swing and a miss, strike three. That's the second out of the inning.
Good, good pitch by Paulo there. And we have Maroonak coming up to the plate.
Casey Marunak, the outfielder, senior out of Hilliard, Ohio.
Hillier Darby High School.
Paulo delivers.
Fowled away to the right side.
Put a good swing on it.
It just was a little bit behind it.
Paulo sets, delivers.
Misses outside.
Ball one.
Paulo's already set to throw.
And that one's in there for strike two.
Paulo's been doing a good job of locating his pitches early
in the game. He's thrown a lot of strikes. Hasn't thrown many pitches yet. And that one just misses outside.
Seems like Paulo thought that was strike three. He started to walk off the mound there.
I did too. It looked like it was over the plate, but just missed.
The two-two delivery, that's low and in, full count again. Second batter in a row that has had a full count.
Paulo struck the last one out, the payoff pitch, and a swing and a miss strike three.
Paulo is pumped up, and that's three quick outs on two strikeouts from Jacob Paulo.
We're going to go to the bottom of the first inning.

Welcome back to Charger Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM.
We're going to the bottom of the first inning.
Jacob Paolo, the pitcher for the Chargers,
had a very quick one, two, three inning,
striking out two and only throwing about ten pitches.
We have Guard Swenson,
getting ready to lead off for the Chargers.
He will be facing
Millage,
Melot, sorry, Milot,
on the, on Findlay.
Malat's a lefty,
facing the lefty hitting guard Swenson.
Swenson batting 3.49 with 30 RBIs on the year, on base percentage 420.
Now batting this centerfield in the number 16.
Swenson also has four home runs to his credit in the lead-off spot.
A very good year for the sophomore outfielder out of Plymouth, Minnesota.
Swenson is ready.
A lot delivers.
And that one hits Swenson.
so Swenson will reach base.
Next up to bat we'll have three-year starter, junior Rocco Tanuda.
Tanuda, a very good hitter on the Chargers.
He's hitting 319.
He has five home runs, and he's pretty good at making contact.
He doesn't strike out very often.
Wenson leads off first.
Malat delivers.
Misses outside, Bowl 1.
Tunuta ready and the delivery.
And that's up and away.
Ball 2.
It's a 2-0 count for Tunura, a hitter-friendly count.
And now Tunita ready.
And that one misses low, ball 3.
It's 3-0 count.
Tunita probably takes on this one.
It's got to be perfect for him to swing.
The pitch.
And that one goes in for a called strike.
It's 3-1.
Tanuda went one for three in the loss earlier today.
The pitch, and that one misses ball four.
Chargers have runners on first and second with nobody out,
and Will Lehman, the first baseman, stepping to the plate.
Lehman batting 246 on the year with two home runs,
377 slugging percentage and on-base percentage of 376.
Lehman is ready.
Runners on first and second, both with leads.
That one is in for a called strike one.
Factoring in the earlier game today,
Lehman is up to hitting 264 and he had a home run,
so he has three home runs on the year now.
Solid game for Lehman.
Lehman, sorry.
The pitch.
Up and away.
Tuna has...
leading fairly aggressively off first through not really holding him very close.
Most of the focus is on the lead runner Swenson,
but even he has a decent lead.
The 1-1, and that's a cold strike two.
Lehman in a pitcher-friendly count now, 1 and 2.
Malat.
Ready pitch clock down to 5.
Throws that one, that one just misses outside.
It's 2-2.
Chargers would love to capitalize on their
for early base runners here
and the pitch
Lehman grounds that one up the middle
that's a base hit
Swenson's around he will score
Tenuda takes third and that's an RBI single
for Will Lehman
Chargers up early won nothing
hit out of Lehman driving it
just past the
second baseman
second baseman's glove
up next is number 25
Carson Tucker, the redshirt freshman out of Murray, Kentucky.
Tucker steps in with runners on the corner and nobody out.
Malat throws.
That's a nice breaking ball in there for a strike.
Tucker batting 357 going into this weekend.
A lot with the delivery.
That one is fouled up the third baseline.
Strike two.
An O2 count on Carson Tucker.
I mean, Malat's had to throw a lot more pitches than Paolo had to throw in his part of the first inning.
So Chargers would like to score more, but that one's fouled away.
They would like to score more, but they still have a small victory in making Malat throw a lot more pitches.
Here's Malat with the delivery, and that one is fouled into the Charger bullpen.
Still strike two.
Tucker is doing a good job of battling here, falling behind Owen 2 quickly, but felling off the last two pitches.
Malat throws. That one is lined into left field. That one will not be caught. Tenuda will score.
Layman takes second, and that's a, I don't know, that might be an error on the left field or he, it's hard to tell whether it dropped just in front of him or if he misjudged his play.
Either way. Tucker bats in a run, and number 21, Tyler Sowers out of Wheaton, Illinois, will step up to the plate.
Runners on first and second, still nobody out.
Sowers going into today batting 260 and slugging 397.
It looks like that will be ruled a hit for Carson Tucker, so he will have an RBI single on that play.
A big swing and a miss, that's strike one.
Chargers leading off their bases.
Sowers is ready.
Malat takes a look at second.
Throws.
A bun's attempt goes foul.
My mistake, that was not foul.
That was off the catcher's glove.
So that's a past ball.
Runners take second and third.
So Sowers now has an RBI opportunity of his own.
Looks like Findlay is going to appeal the play.
and he says that Sowers did not swing,
so it will be a one-and-one count.
Finley's second baseman and one of the fellas in black
having a polite discussion.
Another swing and a miss, that's strike two.
He was fooled by that breaking ball.
Milots had a fairly successful breaking ball,
like a fair amount of success with his breaking ball,
even though he hasn't been able to convert outs.
Until there, he strikes out Sowers for the first out.
Next up, we've got number 26, Wehee.
Ryan Weehe batting 223 on the year,
slugging 340 on base for since 331.
Also has two home runs coming into Friday today.
Having a solid season for the catcher.
A lot sets, delivers.
that breaking ball just misses outside
and so one-o count on wehi
we have tyler turner in the on deck circle getting ready to bat
and milat delivers
that one is lined into right that's a base hit
one run scores
the other runner tucker will stop at third
so an rbi single for ryan weehe
hillsdale batters have been doing a great job
putting the ball
you know
past the infielers but
way too short for any of the outfielders to make a
play on them you saw that with Tucker in the left
field and just now with Wihi in the right field
getting you know
base hits with relative ease and being able to move
your runners around the baseline
the only one that was remotely
close was the
RBI by Tucker that
just dropped in front of the left fielder
had he gotten a slightly better jump he might have cut
that one but otherwise
really solid situational hitting this game for the Chargers so far.
And there's been a short mound visit for Milat.
He's going to stay in the game for now.
Just no activity in the Findlay Bullpen at all yet.
Just trying to settle him down, take a reset.
And Tyler Turner will bet with runners on the corners and one out.
Up to bet, we've got number 23, Tyler Turner,
the red shirt junior out of Potomac Falls, Virginia.
He's betting 326 on the year and has 17 RBIs coming into tonight.
Turner's one of those solid hitters that the Chargers like to have at the bottom of their lineup
so they can turn it back over to Swenson and Tenuda at the top.
Another breaking ball misses and Turner is digging in again.
A lot sets and throws.
That one's popped up.
And first baseman makes the catch on the foul pop-up.
So that will be two outs.
We have the second baseman Billy Perotsky up to the plate.
Number 18, Billy Peroski, the sophomore out of Cincinnati, Ohio, St. Xavier High School.
Paraski bats 282 with 23 RBI's, two home runs.
It's very nice to have that sort of average out of your number eight hitter.
And that one misses, that's ball one.
Malat set trying to get out of this inning with minimal damage.
The 1-0 swing and fouled off by Paratski.
Shortstop Aaron Jasek in the on-deck circle, and then after him it turns back over to the top of the charger lineup.
Paratsky, ready?
Malat, pitch clock down to four seconds, three, two, one.
They did not catch him on the pitch clock violation there, and he will.
throw a strike. Big time
miss out of the crew here tonight.
It's giving him 25 seconds
to toss that.
Okay.
The pitch, runner going
to second, that's grounded to third.
The throw to first is
offline and Paraski is
safe. Ball gets away
and runner will
go to third. We have runners on first and
third again.
On that defensive miss cue by Findlay,
an offline throw,
first baseman dropped the ball.
very big inning early on for the Chargers this so far
something you love to see we've gone to the ninth
hitter in the batting already here in the first
number nine Aaron Jasek out of Kalamazoo
Michigan
bat's 286
22 RBIs and a home run coming into the night
Jsick ready
Malat throws and that's
grounded over to short field it
and it's dropped
another error by Findlay.
They're shortstop this time.
And another run scores, and it's runners on first and second.
And it's the lead-off man, Guard Swenson,
who you don't really want to have the lineup bat around if you're Findlay.
Very solid start for the Chargers,
scoring five runs so far in the bottom of the first inning.
And I'm a lot.
Set. Check second quick.
And throws. That one is in there for a strike.
Another nice breaking ball there.
Swenson's walk-up song is when I'm gone by three doors down.
He's actually related to singer Brad Arnold via marriage.
He's singer for three doors down.
It's pretty awesome.
Swenson hits it to second, fielded cleanly this time, thrown to first.
So Swenson is out, but not before the Chargers score five runs on three hits and two errors to take an early lead in this game.

One, two, three, right?
Welcome back to Charger Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
I'm Christian.
And I'm Gabe.
And we're here in the top of the second inning.
The Chargers scored five runs in the bottom of the first off of Findlay pitcher,
Malott, Carson Malott.
and we have Jacob Paolo on the mound after having an easy one, two, three inning in the first.
He's going to face Luke Senthden of Findlay.
Senthen, the designated hitters hitting 366 coming into the game, and Paolo delivers.
That one's on the inside corner for strike one.
Sampton, a dangerous hitter that Chargers would like to retire here, and that one is swung,
popped up down the left side doesn't look like there's going to be enough room and it drops close to the Findlay bullpen.
Tanuda was hustling for that one if there was any chance that that one stayed in play.
But with the wind blowing that way too, it's just was unlikely that Tanuda was going to have enough room.
Palo is going to throw the O2 and that one has fouled also down the left side.
Each of the top four hitters in the Findlay lineup are hitting over 300 this year.
and Paolo so far has done a good job with them.
That one just misses outside.
It's a one-two count.
Sempton is back in the box.
The one-two pitch.
That one's grounded up the first baseline foul.
Paulo's still in command of this count, up one-two,
and he's ready in the pitch.
That one's a little bit high.
ball two and we sent him ready pallo delivers that one's also grounded up the first baseline foul
sampton has been battling this at bed he got down oh and two really quickly he felled off a few
tough pitches he's taken two two bad pitches and it's a two two two count palo ready pitch that one's
grounded up the middle j sick fields it throws to first
And in time, gets the out.
That was very close play.
Nice defense by Jasek there at shortstop.
Robbing a base hit from Stampton.
Yeah, absolutely great play out of Jaycee getting Septin out,
starting inning with four straight outs and zero hits so far for the Oilers.
First base been Gavin Smith hitting 282.
steps in the first pitch that hits the outside corner that's strike one smith out of Cincinnati he's got
five home runs coming into tonight tonight's game will be a seven inning game tail end of a double
header as smith swings and misses at strike two another quick oh two count for apollo it's oh and two
and we have smith that pitch just misses a little bit high and outside
and Smith has a one-two count.
Paulo ready to throw again.
Working fairly quickly.
The pitch.
That one misses outside.
That's ball two.
Maybe trying to see if he could get Smith to bite on that one.
That one wasn't particularly close to the plate.
Two and two with one out, nobody on.
The pitch from Paulo.
And that one just misses by a little bit.
That's ball three.
it almost looked like Smith thought that was a strike based on his reaction to it
so we have a full count now Palo throws the pitch
fouled back and it's still strike two
even though they've you know still been getting out the more recent batters have been
fouling off some pitches putting up a fight making things not so easy on Paulo
as he throws that one is flown high into a right field
A long run, a dive, and it lands in foul territory.
He just misses that one.
Really good hustle there by the charger right fielder,
but it's just a foul ball, so it's still 3-2.
And on deck we have Mason Myers for Findlay, the left fielder.
It's still Gavin Smith at the plate with a full count as he steps back into the box,
ready to take the payoff pitch.
Paulo delivers.
And that misses. That's ball four.
So that will be the first base runner of the game for Findlay here in the second.
And Mason Myers, the left fielder, he's hitting 305 this year.
A lot of really solid hitters in this Findlay lineup.
Palos ready.
Myers takes strike one.
Meyer is batting 305 with 26 RBIs coming in two tonight.
And a pickoff attempt to first.
Not successful.
Smith goes back safely.
Taking a fairly aggressive lead, which is why Paulo would like to try to pick him off.
That one's grounded to Perotsky at second.
He flips to JASIC and not in time to get the out at first,
but Smith will be out at second.
Myers will reach safely on a fielder's choice.
Two outs now, and it will be Kegan Snyder, the catcher, stepping to the plate.
Snyder only hitting 167 this year, but that's still, the catcher position is not necessarily
offense priority.
Paulo picks off attempts, sorry, palo pickoff attempt at first is not successful.
Keegan Snyder batting 167.
number 11
sorry
number 10 out of
Chili Cote Ohio
Snyder will take
ball one high and inside
and it's
1 0
the set delivery
that one misses outside ball 2
looks almost like a pitch out
in case Myers
wanted to steal a base
Paulo has two outs
here so all he needs to
to worry about is the guy in the box.
That one is flown into
right center field.
Paraski ranging back. Right fielder
will make the play.
So that's three outs for
the Chargers. Palo has another
shutout inning. And we will be
going into the bottom of the second inning
with the Chargers leading 5-0.

The stories of those who have been awarded the Medal of

honor. Here's Jinnah Suhita. On October 20th, 1951, near Sang Sang-Sang-Ni Korea, master sergeant Woodrow
Keeble was serving as a platoon leader when he saw that friendly elements had become pinned down
on a slope by heavy enemy fire. With complete disregard for his own safety, he dashed forward
and joined the pinned-down platoon. Keeble crawled forward until he was in close proximity
to one of the hostile machine gun emplacements. Ignoring heavy fire, Keeble took a grenade
and destroyed the position. Continuing his one-man assault, he destroyed the second enemy
position with another grenade.
Despite the fact that the enemy troops were now directing their firepower against him in full force
and unleashing a shower of grenades in a frantic attempt to stop his advance,
he moved forward against the third hostile emplacement and destroyed it.
For the extraordinary courage, selfless service, and devotion to duty displayed that day,
Master Sergeant Woodrow Keeble was awarded the Medal of Honor.
This is Minute of Honor on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
Welcome back to Charger Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
We are getting ready to go into the bottom of the second inning.
The Chargers lead 5-0-0 after a really good bottom of the first.
Petra Carson Milot of Findlay is still on the mound after giving up five runs on three hits in the first.
First, this inning, he will face off against Rocco Tanuda, the junior batting 319,
with 33 RBIs and five home runs coming into tonight.
Tenuda walked his first time up, and he scored a run.
looking to get something started here for the Chargers.
Tunuta has been a very good hitter all three of his years with the Chargers.
Scott starts as a freshman,
and he's always been a really good average hitter
and not striking out very much, can hit for average.
The first pitch is high and outside.
That's Bull 1.
Chargers are up.
Five runs to zero.
here in the bottom of the first. This will be a seven inning game
coming off of a double header.
Tenuda hits one right up the middle, but caught by the Findlay second baseman.
That is an unlucky break for Tunita.
That was going to be a base hit, but right at the second baseman.
Nice play there.
I believe that was Luke Sempton.
Absolutely incredible play, leaping into the air.
Will Weeman at the plate?
One for one with an RBI today.
First pitch.
Strike one on Lehman.
Malat ready to throw already.
That one's outside.
Malat's been working a little bit faster.
And the charger first baseman will layman.
It's ready to take the one-one.
Malat set delivery.
And that one hits Lehman.
So he will take first.
That's the second charger that's been hit by a pitch.
And it's only the second inning.
which will bring Carson Tucker to the plate,
who is also one for one this game with an RBI.
Tucker with that hit deep into left field
that was just narrowly missed by the outfielder in the previous inning.
And he will get a runner on first with one out.
Malat is set.
The pitch, and that one is fouled up to the right side.
Strike one.
Tucker is stepping back in the box.
Malat looks for the sign.
Checks the runner a couple of times.
And the pitch.
Swing and a miss, that's strike two.
So Tucker will quickly find himself down 0 and 2 with one out.
Chargers trying to add some more runs after their big first inning.
And a pickoff attempt at first.
And Lehman will dive back with plenty of time.
he wasn't really taking that much of a lead on that one.
Malat ready.
Pitch clock down to five.
And the pitch is grounded to shortstop.
And then we'll get him at second.
The throw to first is also out.
A double play will end the inning for the Chargers, 6-4-3.
And now we will be going into the top of the third inning.
Chargers leading 5-0.
This is Charger Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.

Welcome back to Charger Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
I'm Christian.
And I'm Gabe.
We're here in the top of the third inning.
Chargers leading Findlay 5 to nothing.
Pitcher Jacob Powell is on the mound after throwing two scoreless so far against the Oilers.
And he will be facing the bottom three, the 8-9-1 hitters in the Findlay lineup.
First up is number five, Mike Cortino.
batting 2.30 with 17 rbis and three home runs coming into tonight for the Oilers.
Paulo sets, delivers.
That one misses, that's ball one.
Paulo's been throwing well so far for the Chargers, working fairly quick innings,
not facing a lot of batters.
The pitch, and that's a strike on the outside.
So it's 1-1.
Paulo has allowed one base runner so far on a walk to Gavin Smith.
That one has popped up in the infield.
Pulaski running in for it.
He wants it and he makes the play.
So that's one out.
That one was hit way up in the air.
And Pollo was doing everything he could to get out of the way of his infield so they could make the play.
Praski number 18, one of the many dynamic underclass from the sophomore.
more out of Ohio.
And it's the number nine hitter, Drew Tucker.
Second baseman is hitting 291 with three home runs this year.
He shows Bund, pulls it back, but it's a called strike.
So it's an 0-1 on Drew Tucker.
That pitch misses outside, ball one.
Paolo's working fast against this hitter.
And he's ready.
Pitch.
And that's fouled to the right side.
over the Hillsdale dugout two strikes now one and two at the delivery that misses ball two
and two two count for Paulo one out nobody on that pitch is called strike three that's two out so we
will go to the top of the fiddling lineup and it's it's nick palm who grounded out to second on the
first pitch of the game. Palm is hit, it was hitting, 327 coming to the game.
28 runs scored. Palo is set. The pitch and that one misses outside. This bowl won.
Wind picks up a little bit. It's blowing right to left. That one's fouled straight back from Palm.
we have a one and one count now on the oilers leadoff hitter paolo is ready throws and that's
called strike that's a one-two count now paolo one pitch away from getting out of this inning too
the one-two delivery that one is called strike three paolo gets another two strikeouts this
inning and he's thrown three scoreless so far. So we're heading into the bottom of third inning,
Chargers leading 5-0. This is Charger Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM. We'll be back after this.
Welcome to the Grammar Minute, where we're saving the English language 60 seconds at a time.
I'm Lauren Smith, and I recently came across this grammar question posted in a forum.
Is it proper to say she laughed softly or she softly laughed? For one word,
verbs that don't have objects, also called intransitive verbs, you can theoretically put the
adverb either before or after the verb, depending on what you want to emphasize.
The reason why she laughed softly probably sounds correct is because putting the adverb after
the verb is the default. She ran quickly, she ate eagerly, and so on. If you put softly before
the verb, as in she softly laughed, you're placing heavy emphasis on the adverb, something you probably
don't want to do in a sentence this short, though you might want to say something like
she emphatically disagreed. That's your Grammar Minute. Visit thegramomimit.com for more tips
and tricks. Welcome back to Charger Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.1.7 FM. If you're just tuning in,
we're going into the bottom of the third inning. The Chargers lead 5-0 after a big first inning
off of Findlay starter Carson Malat. Malat is still in the game. He's going to get the third
inning because he threw a fairly solid second inning after getting into trouble in the
first. He was allowed one base runner, got a double play, so it was a much easier inning for him.
And it's the five hitter, Tyler Sowers, left fielder for the Chargers, which will be the
first batter of this inning. Sowers coming into the night, batting 216 with 15 RBIs.
Sauer's over 1 today.
First pitch is a breaking ball that's in there for a called strike.
Malat really likes to throw those first pitch breaking balls,
and he's been fairly consistent at getting them over the plate.
O1 is swung on and fouled,
so Sowers quickly finds himself down 0 and 2.
Still no activity in the Findlay Bullpen,
so it looks like they're going to trust Malat to get at least a few.
more innings here that pitch misses that's ball one sours is ready the pitch high and outside that's ball two two-two
count on sowers the catcher ryan weehee and the on deck circle ready pitch clock at five and that's swung on and missed
so that will be strike one sours goes down swinging and that's
Malat's second strikeout of the game.
Weehi up, betting 2-2-3 with a pair of home runs coming into this evening.
Weehee has an RBI today.
Malat set.
That one misses outside.
Ball one.
Malat ready to pitch.
The delivery.
That one is hit into center field.
Ranging back.
It's at the wall.
It's caught near the warning track.
A long flyout for Ryan Weehe.
and that will be the second out bringing up right fielder Tyler Turner who is over one today
Turner the redshirt junior out of Potomac Falls Virginia in transfer from division one
Monmouth University Turner hitting 326 coming into the series first pitch is in their strike one
and Turner's set for the next pitch
Malta delivers that one's outside ball one
We head into the evening
The wind's picking up
It's blowing fairly solidly out to left field
Turner checks up on that one
So that will be ball two
Umpire rules no swing
Malotte throws that one is right at the second
Baseman
And that's the third out of the inning
Yeah that's the third out of the inning
So the chargers go down one two three
heading into the top of the fourth, Chargers lead 5-0.

The Making of America from the Jefferson Media Group.
On August 6, 1945, an atomic weapon was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan,
in hopes of ending World War II.
However, few are aware for days prior to the bombing,
American pilots dropped leaflets over the city,
warning the people to leave.
Read this carefully as it will save your life, it read.
We are in the possession of the most destructive explosive ever devised by man,
and then it urged them to evacuate their city.
Even though over 100,000 people lost their lives in Hiroshima,
the Empire of Japan still refused to surrender.
It took a second bombing on Nagasaki before the Emperor himself ordered the surrender
over the objections of his military leaders.
This has been the making.
of America. I'm Michael Emerson, and you can visit us at jeffersonmediagroup.com.
Welcome back to Charger Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM. We're here in the top of the
fourth inning. Jacob Paolo has thrown three scoreless so far. He's on the mound for the fourth,
getting ready to face Keel and Daniel of the Oilers. Daniel out of Cincinnati, Ohio,
the senior, normally wearing number two, but tonight wearing number 42. Daniel Bats, 333.
with 11 RBIs coming into this evening for the Oilers.
The first pitch in there for a strike.
Daniel 0 for one today, striking out in his first at-bett.
Paulo ready to pitches again.
That one is into left field.
And right at him, that's the first out.
Next up, we've got number 17, Casey Maruniac.
Bad at 314 with 47 RBIs and six home runs coming into this evening.
One of the better hitters from this team.
Rooneyak struck out in his first at bat as well as he takes the first pitch from Palo.
That's grounded up the third baseline but foul.
So Rooneyak is an 01 count now.
Palo asks for a new baseball.
Mariniac steps in the box.
Palo sets.
It's delivery.
That one's high.
Ball one.
Talo's been working pretty quickly so far this game.
That pitch just misses.
That's ball two.
Fun fact about Maruniac, he was a two-sport athlete in high school,
had block-on offers from both Miami-Ville, Ohio,
and Ohio State to play football,
but dedicated his time to baseball,
now plays on scholarship for University of Finley.
We have Rooneyak in.
Palo with the delivery.
That's into left field, right field, sorry.
And that's a nice catch there by Tyler Turner and right field.
So that's two solid defensive plays from the corner outfielders and two outs.
bringing up Luke Stempton, who is 0 for 1 today.
Designated hitter hitting 366 with four home runs coming into the game.
Paulo has ready.
That one misses on the outside corner.
Paulo's retired 11 of the 12 batters he's faced so far.
The 1-0.
That one's right down the middle.
That's strike 1.
A 1-1 count with 2 outs and nobody on here in the top of the 4th.
And that one is called Strike 2.
Polos doing very good job so far at throwing pitches in the zone
and challenging these Findlay hitters.
That one is just misses.
That's ball two.
That one was close.
And we have Gavin Smith in the on-deck circle.
That one is high down the left field line.
Not enough room it will drop into the Findlay bullpen.
just about an extra foot there or so a couple feet looks like um
Sowers may have had enough room to make a play on that still a two two count
Paulo on the mound facing Luke Sempton and Palo's only thrown a little more than 50
pitches so far with the pitch and that's into center field for a base hit
Sempton will stop at first and that's the first hit of the game for the Fembley
Oilers.
Up next, Gavin Smith, the senior artist Cincinnati batting 282 with 30 RBIs and five home runs
coming into the evening.
Smith was the first base runner for Finlay drawing a walk his last time up, and he steps
into face Paolo for the second time this game.
Paulo set the pitch.
Fastball in there for a strike.
O'n-1.
And Stampton, fairly conservative lead.
extends it a bit.
Ball one.
One and one on Gavin Smith.
Luke Sempton, the runner on first.
And Paolo takes another look at the runner.
He throws over to first,
but there's not really much of a pickoff play there.
It's more of trying to keep Sempton honest.
Let him know that Paulo is willing to throw over there.
Apollo delivers
And that one is swung on and fouled
To the left side
And it's a one two count
Two outs
Mason Myers
The left fielder on deck for
University of Findlay
Apollo sets
And the one two
That one misses outside
Ball two
That one was fairly close
But a solid take there
by Smith.
Two and two.
That one is grounded
into left field.
That's a base hit.
And Sempton will stop at second.
So back-to-back hits for
Findlay.
They have runners on first and second now
with two outs.
And Mason Myers at the plate.
Myers is a sophomore out of St. Clairsville,
Ohio, batting 305
with 26 RBIs.
Myers, O for one today.
or this game, and Palo will deliver.
That one is fouled to the left side.
Let's strike one.
Findlay making a little bit of noise this inning with two outs,
and Paolo is ready, and he throws.
That's in there for strike two.
It's an 02 count early on Mason Myers.
Paulo in control of this count
and the pitch
that one
misses for ball one
Chargers up
five runs to zero here in the
top of the fourth
of just a seven inning game
tailing a double header
Paulo throws the one two
and that one misses outside as well
Paulo's been throwing pitches that have just
barely missed the zone
he'll get two strikes then like his next ones will just miss by a little bit and he's not getting the calls on the borderline stuff that one is into left center field just going back to the wall that will score two runs and runner's going to third here comes to throw and he's in there no he is out he is out at third so a two rbi double for mason meyers but he's
thrown out trying to take third base.
So the
Chargers lead five to
two going into the bottom
of the fourth inning.
We will be right back after this.

Welcome back to Charger Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM. I'm Christian. And I'm Gube.
We're here in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Findlay Oilers just scored two runs in the top of the
fourth off of Jacob Pollo. Mason Myers hit a two RBI double of that.
was thrown out trying to take third.
I'm not exactly sure why he was going for a triple on that one,
given that it was hit to left center.
It's possible that he thought the throw was going home,
so he'd be able to take the extra base.
But the fact that the outfielder was a little bit slow
at getting the ball in kind of helped him in that case,
because he had time to throw to third.
We have second baseman Billy Paratsky batting now.
He's 0 for 1 today,
and he will step in against Carson Milott,
who, after giving up five runs in the first,
has settled down and hasn't given up a run since.
Malat sets the delivery.
Pulaski Buntz right back to Malat,
who will throw to first in time.
One quick out for Findlay.
Up next year, we've got number nine, Aaron Jasek out of Kalamazoo.
In charge your fans, if you were in the mood for a hot dog,
you're 24 hours late here yesterday in Lunda
and Glenda Stadium.
We had $1 hot dog day.
The first pitch of JASIC.
That's called strike one.
JASIC, a bit of a two-way player on the Chargers.
He's made some pitching appearances this season as well.
That pitch is outside.
This ball won.
It's a 1-1 count.
One out, nobody on.
Bottom of the fourth inning.
We have.
Malat is ready.
and that pitch is fouled
and that's strike two.
Lead off hitter, Gareg Swenson
is in the on-deck circle
and J-Sick in the box.
The one-two delivery on its way
and that one is outside.
It's ball two.
J-Sick is very good at the nine spot,
able to turn the lineup over to the top of the lineup.
He's speedy like a lead-off hitter
and he has a decent average
especially for a nine hitter.
That one is just foul down the third baseline.
J.Sig just missed keeping that one fair.
And he will go back into the box.
He's kind of taking his time there.
And a lot steps off.
Malat's ready, Jasek ready.
The pitch.
That's right back at Malat and Malat will toss it over to first.
And that's two quick outs for Findlay as Lidoff Manguard Swenson,
who is over one with the hit by pitch today, will step up to the plate.
Swenson facing Malat for the third time this game.
Pitch, that one is in there for strike one.
Swenson the sophomore out of Plymouth, Minnesota, the right-y, right-hand, or sorry, the left-handed batter.
That one is right at first base, and he will take it on his own, so the Chargers go down in order this inning.
Still lead five to two, but Milot has not allowed a hit since that big first inning.
Paolo will step back out on the mound for the Chargers going into the top of the fifth.

We are getting ready to go into the top of the fifth inning.
Jacob Paolo got touched up for two runs in the top of the fourth,
but he's been overall very solid.
Those were the only two runs he's given up so far.
He's given up three hits through four innings,
and he will be taking the mound for the fifth to face Keegan Snyder of Findlay.
Snyder, the freshman out of Chilicothe, Ohio.
First pinch to Snyder,
misses inside for ball one
Snyder's
O for one today he's only
batting 167 on the season
the pitch and that one
is grounded over to JASIC at short
a long throw to first
and gets the out nice
range and throw by Jasek there
on the grounder
next up we've got number five
Mike
Cortino
the senior infielder
out of Yuntsdown Ohio
Austin Town Finch High School
Cool.
Certino also 0 for 1 today.
Hitting 2.30 on the year.
Chargers have someone warming up in their bullpen right now.
Certino hits that one in the center.
Swenson running back and he makes a catch on the run.
What a play.
Diving near the warning track.
Robbing extra bases from Certino.
Incredible play.
Like you said, diving towards the wall.
sun all in his eyes as the sun started to go down now.
What a play from the sophomore center fielder.
And that will be the nine hitter now, Drew Tucker, at the plate.
Tucker, the freshman out of Toledo.
First pitch.
And that's called strike one.
And a one comes in quickly, that's a one.
and that might be Brody Romack in the bullpen for the Chargers
as the 1-1 misses outside this ball two.
Drew Tucker, the freshman out of St. Francis de LaSalle's high school,
used to be teammates with number 20 man in Nicholas Bublich of the Hillsdale Chargers.
And that was hit to J-Sick and throws across, but this time he,
will reach safely on an infield single to JASIC.
That might have, might be an error on JASIC.
The women may have been pulled off the bag there,
but either way, Tucker will be safe at first.
Next up, we've got number seven, Nick Palm,
batting 327, with 17 RBIs on season.
So you said that Drew Tucker and Mennon Nicholas Bublich,
Or teammates, were they high school teammates then?
Yes, high school teammates at St. Francis DeSalle High School over in Toledo.
So, you're cool.
Now they're both playing G-MAC baseball.
We have Nick Palm, who is over to today.
He steps into the box against Paulo.
Two outs in the top of the fifth.
The pitch, runner goes, the throw to J-Sake Elements off the bag.
but
Paraski's there to back up the play
so no further damage done
and that will be a stolen base by Tucker
runner on second base for
Nick Palm batting here with two outs
mixed up we've got number 42
usually number two Kieland Daniel
never trust a guy with two first names he's batting
three three on the year
that one is hit into left field fair
and will go to the wall. That's going to be extra bases. One run is in and Palm will stop at second.
So an RBI double by Nick Palm with two outs here. And now the Oilers have cut the lead to five to three.
Chargers would like to get out of this inning without any further damage because then you can hand it over to the bullpen.
And Chargers have some good arms of the bullpen.
Absolutely. Once you wrap up this fifth inning, you've only got two more because of the double.
header with the NCAA rules.
And you have, you know, Pat McLean who can throw
while he's kind of moving into a starter role, but he can pitch
really well out of the bullpen. Josh Novak has been really good this season.
And it's just those late inning guys that you don't really want to face if you're
the opposing team and you're behind.
Kalin Daniel is in the box, runner on second.
Paulo steps off as there's a timeout called.
Daniel is still in the box.
And now Paulo is set.
And the pitch.
That one misses.
That's ball one.
Number 17, Rudiac.
Warming up.
And that's a pitch that's grounded to Paulo.
Paulo will throw to first and get the out.
A nice play there by Paulo.
and he will get out of the inning, only giving up one run.
Going to the bottom of the fifth inning, Chargers lead five to three.

I'm Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
Welcome back to Charger Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
If you're just joining us, we are going into the bottom of the fifth inning.
Chargers lead five to three.
The Oilers put up one run in the last inning on an RBI double,
and now they, sorry, and now Findleitcher Carson Malat will step on the mound.
He gave up five runs in the first inning, has not a lot of hits since then,
and he will be facing Rocco Tunuta, Will Lehman, and Carson Tucker for the Chargers.
Tanuta 0 for one today with a walk.
He was part of the first inning rally for the Chargers, scoring a run,
and he will step in against Milat for the third time.
Toonado batting 319, one of the best hitters on the team,
and has been one of the best hitters on the team since the freshman year.
a junior now. Tenuda jumps on the first pitch and fouls that one to the right side. So Tanuda is
in an 0-1 count against Malat. Malat has done a really good job of settling down after what was
quite the rocky first inning. The O-1, that's driven into left-center by Tanuda.
Center fielder will make the play. And Tanuta gets a little bit under that one.
which will bring Will Lehman up to the plate.
Layman one for one today.
Betting 246 on the year,
slugging 377 and has a 376 on base percentage.
Layman with a big RBI earlier in this game.
And Lehman pops that one behind the plate and out of play.
So an 01 count on Lehman as well.
And to his credit, Carson Milot has only thrown
60 pitches this game after getting into a lot of trouble in the first.
He's basically had no trouble since then.
Lehman will foul off a pitch, strike two.
And Lehman is ready.
Malat with the delivery.
And that one misses outside this ball won.
And the question is, if the chargers can't get anything going,
do you give the sixth inning to Paulo or do you hand
it off to the bullpen because the bullpen has been quite good in recent games.
Lehman will foul that one behind the plate. We have McLean in the bullpen. Probably will
pitch, especially if the Chargers don't get another run. Layman is in the box. Pitch from
a lot. And that one is low and outside ball two. Or three two, my mistake. So it's a full count now for
Malat sets.
Here comes to payoff.
And that one is low, and now it's a three-two count.
I was right the first time, I guess.
So full count now on Lehman, for real this time.
The delivery, that's a curveball, strike three called.
Lehman is not very happy about that,
but that will be two outs, and Carson Tucker, who is one for two today,
will step up to the plate.
Tucker bedding
3.57 on the year.
That's the highest among
any of your charger batters this season.
A good season for the
designated hitter and
Malat throws.
That's a breaking ball
in there, not in there for a ball.
Malat ready again
and that one's on the outside.
Bowl two.
And
Malat has the pitch
clock hits 10, throws. That one is down and in, and that's a three-o count now on Carson Tucker.
It'll be the left fielder Tyler Sowers, the on-deck circle, and that pitch is called for strike one.
No real intent to swing for Tucker on that pitch, and Malat is ready fairly quickly, throws.
That one is up the middle, off Malat's glove, and Tucker will.
reach safely, that's probably a base hit on Tucker because it was just a really quick play
and it deflected off of Milot's glove. I don't think you give an error to Milot on that play.
Next up number 21 Tyler Sauer, sophomore out of Wheaton, Illinois, batting 260. On the year,
that's our number five hitter. Sowers has struck out twice today, a little bit of a tough day
the plate for him so far and it looks like there's going to be a mound visit on milat they might be
bringing in a bullpen arm here and it's not exactly clear whether there's going to be a reliever or not
finlay has a few warming up in the bullpen but it looks like this might just be a conference to get
milat to settle down he only needs to get one more out so it'll be interesting to see what the finlay
manager decides to do in this situation with a runner on first and two outs here in the bottom of
the fifth inning with the charges up five three the umpire is going to be checking to see if they're
intending on pulling milat or not it looks like belat's going to stay in the game for now
maybe just buying their relievers a little bit of time and also you have two outs so if milat can take
care of this batter then you could keep him in and if he if he doesn't retire him at least you bought
the bullpen guys a little bit more time to warm up this is a testament to a lot's poise and composure
after giving up five runs and three hits in the first inning that's the first hit he's given up
since now in inning five and that pitch is skied it's on the first base side he makes the catch
and that's the third out of the inning.
So going into the top of the sixth inning now,
Chargers lead five to three.

Welcome back to Charger Baseball and Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7.
FM. We are going to the top of the sixth inning. The Chargers have a new pitcher on the mound. It's number 37. Josh Novak.
Jacob Paolo through five innings gave up three runs and a solid start for the Chargers. If the Chargers hold on, he will get the win today.
And Novak, a very solid, having a very solid year after sitting out all of last year with an injury at elbow injury.
he has an ERA of 2.25, or 2.5, sorry, a 2.5 ERA.
And he hasn't given up an earned run in quite some time.
The redshirt sophomore out of Andover, Minnesota.
Like you said, redshirted last year after sitting out for an injury.
And Novak has been a really reliable late inning guy along with Pat McLean for the Chargers.
And with McLean kind of moving into more of a starter role as we head into the back end of the season, Novak is kind of stepping into the late inning role.
So Chargers is probably hoping to get two innings out of Novak today.
But if he gives them a scoreless one here, then they're in a really good position of closing it out in the seventh.
Up now is Casey Maruniac, number 17, batting 314, with 47 RBIs and six home runs and 38 games with the Oilers.
Rooneyak 0 for 2 today with a strikeout.
First pitch from Novak is a swing and a miss, strike one.
Good fastball there from Novak to get an early strike.
Luke Sempton in the on-deck circle for Findlay.
The pitch from Novak is fouled to the right side.
Way out of play there.
And Novak has himself a quick 0-and-2 count.
And Murniac digs back in.
in the pitch from Novak that one's high and Novak loses his hat on that pitch so with the O2 pitch
Novak kind of throws it out of the zone to see if he can get a bite but no luck that pitch is in the
dirt and that's ball too it looked like it bounced off the catcher then bounced off a
Rooneyak. Not a hit by pitch, but very interesting bounce by that pitch. And the two-two,
Novak throws, another foul ball straight back, and it's still two-and-two. And if the Oilers are
going to get anything, it would probably be this inning, because these are three, four, five guys.
And then if they don't, they'd have to rely on the six, seven, eight hitters to rally in the
seventh. Novak with the pitch.
And that's called strike three.
That's one out.
That's Novak's first strikeout of this game.
And now Luke Sempton will step up to the plate.
Sampton won for two today.
Batting 366 on the year.
41 RBIs and four home runs going into this game.
He has the best batting average of anyone in the Findlay lineup today.
Junior out of Canton, Ohio.
Novak with the pitch.
And the Breaking Bowl just misses for strike ball one.
It's Athlete Signature Day here in Lunda and Glenda Hill Stadium in TFO Partners Field.
The 1-0 is in there for strike 1.
At the concession stand, supporters can get baseball cards of the players,
and after the game, players will be signing those.
Novak delivers.
That one misses a little bit low and in, and that's,
It's two and one.
Novak pitching in the top of the sixth inning with the charge was holding a five to three lead.
One out, nobody on for the Oilers.
Novak's set.
The pitch.
And that one misses outside ball three.
It's a three-one count on Sempton, hitter-friendly count.
And Novak is coming set again.
The pitch.
And that one is hit into right field, down the line at the wall.
that's going to be extra bases.
He's around second and he'll stop at second.
Does not take the extra base on that one.
That's a one-out double for Sempden.
Last time Novak gave up an earned run was March 8th against Missouri St. Louis.
Since then, he's pitched very well.
And he's lowered his ERA in that time from 9.64 to 2.5.
Next off, we'll face Gavin Smith, batting 282, number 22.
Smith one for one with the walk today.
Novak pitches, and that one is a high fly down the right field line.
It's going into foul territory, and it drops into the Hillsdale bullpen.
So strike one on Gavin Smith.
Novak in a little bit of trouble.
Finlay has a runner in squirt.
scoring position, the tying run at the plate, and Novak is set, checks the runner, and the pitch.
And that one misses up, that's ball one.
Novak needing to get this out here to keep the chargers lead somewhat comfortable for the last inning.
The 1-1 misses low and away, ball two.
funny tidbit with
Josh Novak is
twice now his hat's
flown off of his head while he's pitched
and just now it
you know almost fell off
entirely
might be on those fast balls
where he's throwing extra hard
and that just comes off
he loses his hat again on that pitch
which is
a strike two
so it's a two two count now
with one out
on Gavin Smith
left-fielder
Mason Myers in the on-deck circle, also one for two today.
Novak delivers.
That one's low and outside.
That makes it a full count.
So, Novak needs to throw a strike on this pitch.
You do not want to have the go-ahead run at the plate.
And that's a swing and a miss, strike three, a big strikeout for Josh Novak.
And now they're two outs.
Mason Myers stepping up to the plate.
Myers number 12 batting 305
Slugging 466
26 RBIs on the year in a
lone home run coming into this evening
Myers has two RBIs today
he put the oilers
on the board in the fourth inning
the pitch is fouled down to left side
not enough room and it will land near the
Findlay bullpen Novak has a quick
strike on Myers
Novak has thrown 18 pitches so far this inning
So he's gotten two strikeouts
But the oiler batters have made him work for those outs
The O1 is fouled back
And Myers finds himself quickly in an O2 count
Hillsdale leads 5-3 in the top of the 6
This will be a seven inning game
After the Chargers
Failed to the Oilers earlier today
This is the second part of a double header
Novak with the pitch.
That one misses just barely
ball one.
And we have
one two count, two outs.
There's a runner on second for Findlay
and Myers in the box.
And that one is hit
into right field, ranging, and a diving
catch! He makes the play,
saves a run.
Novak will get out of the inning
with no damage done.
He got into a little bit of trouble with that double, but Chargers are still holding a five to three lead going into the bottom of the sixth inning.

The sixth inning, the Chargers lead five to three.
An amazing diving play by right fielder Tyler Turner saved a run,
and Josh Novak was able to get a scoreless sixth inning.
He gave up a double, but Turner's play in Wright saved a run,
and Chargers hold a two-run lead for Ryan Weehee coming up to the plate.
Carson Malott is still in the game.
for Findlay he gave up five runs in the bottom of the first inning he's completely settled down since then
hasn't has only given up one hit since then no runs and he will be getting the sixth inning
Ryan we he in the box taking the pitch and that's called strike one again bottom of the six will
be a seven inning game due to this being the end of a double header games originally sent for
Saturday and Sunday because of weather
We'll call them now.
And that pitch is inside ball one.
There's nobody in the charger bullpen,
so it's likely that Novak will get a shot to close out this game in the seventh.
Ryan Weehee, the pitch, big swing and a miss, strike two.
Weehee is down one and two.
He's one for two today, and he will step into the box.
The pitch from Malat, that's outside ball two.
Malat's only thrown 76 pitches so far, and he's in the sixth inning.
And that's figuring in his rough first inning, giving up five runs on three hits.
Going through the entire batting lineup in that first inning before finally getting out of it.
Malat throws ball three low and in.
It's a full count on Wehi.
Weehee steps in, and he hits that one into right field, ranging back.
And another nice play by the Findlay right fielder this time, robbing extra bases from Wehee.
That was a nice play by Keelan Daniel.
Up next we got number 23, Tyler Turner out of Potomac, Virginia, and formerly from Monmouth University, Redshirt Jr.
We have Malat ready to throw to Turner.
Turner betting 326 on the year.
The first pitch. Turner hits that one over to short.
The throw and a little bit high, but first baseman's able to hold on to that one.
And that's a quick second out.
Second baseman, Billy Paratsky is the batter.
O for two today.
Batting 282 on the year.
Sophomore out of Ohio.
Again, if you're looking at the schedule online, it may have changed.
This weekend's games have gotten moved to today and Monday at 2 and 5 p.m.
Also against Finley, I believe.
And Perotsky hits that one into center field.
That's going to be a base hit.
And that's only the second hit off of Milots since the first inning.
Up next we got the bottom of the lineup.
Number nine, Aaron Jasek, out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Jasek batting 286.
He's made some solid plays that shortstop this game.
And he will step in with the runner.
on first and two out.
And Finlay manager calling time.
I think they're probably going to be pulling Malat.
Yes, he's going to be making a call to the bullpen for the right-hander.
So as Findlay warms up their pitcher,
Malat will step off the mound.
He's given up five runs, only three of them earned,
and he threw five innings with two out to the sixth.
So a very good start from Malat.
He will be charged with the runner on first if he comes around to score.
We'll be back after this.

Telling the stories of those who have been awarded the Medal of Honor.
This is Minute of Honor.
Here's Jinnah Suhita.
On February 10, 1970, near Fuak Long Vietnam,
specialist John Baca was setting up an ambush with his unit.
When one of the tripwires detonated in the jungle ahead,
a platoon was sent to investigate.
Soon they came under intense enemy fire from concealed positions along the trail.
As they prepared to engage the enemy, a fragmentation grenade was thrown in the midst of the patrol.
Baca said later at that moment he thought of his mother.
He called her only the day before, telling her that he was working in the post office, safe from action on the front lines.
But with the lives of his friends hanging in the balance, Baca acted quickly.
With complete disregard for his own safety, Baca used his steel helmet and his own body to cover the grenade and absorb the lethal fragments.
His conspicuous gallantry at the risk of his own life directly saved the lives of eight men.
For the extraordinary courage and selflessness he displayed on February 10th, 1970, specialist John Baca was awarded the Medal of Honor.

Welcome back to Charger Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
We are in the middle of the bottom of the sixth inning.
Starting pitcher for Finlay Carson Millat through 5.2 innings, he gave up five runs, three earned.
and after a rocky first inning,
he only gave up two hits and no runs since then.
So Camden Tuttle, the right-hander for Finlay,
will come in relief here with two outs
facing Hillsdale Shortstop Aaron Jasek.
Billy Perotsky is a runner on first base.
He will be charged to Milot if he comes around to score.
And J-Sik hoping to give the charges
a little bit more of a cushion
as they go into the top of the seventh.
Tuttle has a one-in-one record as a pitcher
and an earned run average of 6.63.
JASIC is going to be stepping back up to the box now.
And he will be the first batter that Tuttle faces.
And after facing a left-hander all day,
the chargers will get a look at a right-hander,
or all-game.
JASIC is set.
Guard Swenson in the on-deck circle.
First pitch, fouled back.
Strike one on JASIC.
Number nine, Aaron Jasek, the junior out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Little known fact about him.
He won the Kalamazoo Town mullet competition during his junior year of high school.
The runner goes, JASIC will foul at the left side, so
Tarrotsky gets a decent tournament.
jump but does not get the stolen base because JASIC fouls off that pitch.
So JASIC is down 0 and 2, 2 outs, a runaround first for the Chargers.
The pitch, and that's up and in, and Parratsky will be taking second on that wild pitch.
So JASIC now has a runner in scoring position with a 1-2 count, two outs.
Paraski was taking an aggressive lead.
nice change of pace for the batters on first base
having a righty to
not be staring dead on
whenever they want to take their leads
as opposed to Malata lefty
Tuttle checks the runner
swing and a miss on J6 so strike three
the chargers threatened to score a run
but they don't get any more
they will have a five to three lead
going to the top of the seventh inning
and they need
just to get three more outs and they close
out this game. It will be Novak going for the save. This is Charter Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale

Welcome back to Charge for Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale, HILDU. Welcome back to Charter Baseball on Radio Free Hillsdale.
I'm Christian.
And I'm Gabe.
We're here in the top of the seventh inning.
The charges are leading five to three.
And they have reliever Josh Novak on the mound to try to close out this game.
Novak comes in relief of Hillsdale starter Jacob Paolo, who through five innings gave up three runs.
Novak pitched a clean sixth inning.
And now he will hope to close out this game against the 7-8-9 hitters on Findlay.
Keegan Snyder, the first batter, O for two today, steps in against Novak.
The first pitch, in there for a strike.
Novak getting an early advantage in the count.
He comes set and the O-1.
That one has flown high into the shallow outfield.
J-Sick ranging back and he'll make the catch.
Four Hillsdale fielders converging on that spot.
that could get a little dangerous based on, you know, whose ball is it?
But JASIC will make a nice backpedaling catch for the first out.
JASIC has made some several commanding plays here in this game.
So it'll be Mike Seratino, the batter for Findlay now.
Hit batting with one out in the top of the seventh.
Novak comes set and the pitch.
That one misses outside, ball one.
Serentino batting
230 with an on-base
percentage of 336.
Novak is ready.
The 1-0.
And that one misses up, ball 2.
That relatively high on-base percentage
compared to batting average means that
Ciratino has a pretty good eye at the plate
that has shown this early and this at bat.
Up 2-0, the pitch.
And that one is,
popped up. Lehman is
calling for it. Paraski is
going for it too. Paraski makes the catch.
So two pop-ups
for Novak and
it'll be the nine hitter
Drew Tucker at the plate who was one for two
today. Drew Tucker, the freshman
out of Toledo, Ohio, Toledo
St. Francis to sell high school.
He is...
Novak is set. The first
pitch. That's fouled
back. Over the
press box. On the press box.
on the press box and that will be strike one.
Tucker batting 291 on the year
in his first year of collegiate baseball
19 RBIs and three home runs on his freshman season.
Novak is set and the delivery.
That one is popped up.
Pirozky ranging for it, Swenson too.
Swenson is under it.
He makes the catch.
The Chargers have won the game.
A really good six-out save there for Josh Novak.
The winning pitcher today is Jacob Paolo.
The losing pitcher is Carson Milat, and Josh Novak earns the save for the Chargers.
Chargers win 5'3.
They get a double-header split, and they're ready to go into the double-heder Monday.
