Country, and thank you for a delightful conversation.
The following is a special presentation of WRFH Sports.
First and 10 at the 25 in Dragon Territory.
Then two whiteouts to his left, two to his right.
As I say it, a little of a crossing pattern on the right side,
he was going right to the post and nobody was anywhere near him.
That's a touchdown, and this is a tie ball game now.
Touchdown for the Hillsdale Chargers.
Are you ready?
Hillsdale Charger Football on Radio 3, Hillsdale 101.7 FM starts now.
Good evening and welcome in to Frank Muddywater Stadium on the campus of Hillsdale College.
I'm Ted Ferrenger, my partner in the booth on this fine Michigan evening is Ty Ruddy.
Hillsdale football's 2023 campaign reflected some ups and downs.
It began the year 0 and 4.
However, the Chargers managed to finish the season 6 and 5.
winning six of their last seven to finish the year, six and five,
largely thanks to last year's senior running back and super senior Michael Herzog,
who rushed for an astounding 1,300 yards and averaged 121 yards a game.
Herzog isn't the only Hillsdale legend to depart.
The Chargers will be without legendary coach Keith Otterbine,
who retired after the 2023 season.
Leadership for the Chargers this year is paramount as Legends of the past have moved on.
Hannah Conley and Evan Nick have sat down with integral leaders this year of the 2024 season seniors Ben and Nick Affleter who play on the Charger line.
So here's the interview.
The University of Indianapolis.
Today, my name is Evan Nick.
And I'm Hannah Connolly.
And we're here with the Affleters, two starting offensive linemen, fifth years, twins for the Hillsdale Chargers.
So what is the biggest difference between the Hillsdale Charger football team in 2024 and the Hillsville Charger football team in 2023?
So Team 132 and Team 131?
There's a new energy going on.
I think we're excited.
Not that we weren't excited last year, but that we're just, we revamped a lot of things and we're shaking things up.
And I think it's really helped the guys out and really helped us out of just being ready.
to play and being excited and being more of a team.
And I think that's been really cool to see and to develop.
And so, yeah, we're really excited about it.
We love Coach Shreff's doing an amazing job and really excited to play for him.
And you can just feel how much everyone cares about this program.
And we're just happy to be a part of it.
I think that's a big thing because, like, everyone loved Otter and I was here for a long time.
And he was great and left the legacy of that.
I'll never forget and all this stuff,
but I think it's cool to see Shreff take it over and make it his own.
And I think it's exciting and something different, something new,
and the guys can really rally behind.
I would say definitely watching your guys as scrimmages being there has been,
it's the energy just seems different.
You guys seem like super, I mean, not that you weren't excited to be there
in the first place last year,
but you guys just, there's a different energy I feel like about this team,
which I think is exciting.
So with that being said,
Indy is a pretty hard game to open the season with.
They're ranked number 16.
Last year, you guys lost them 39 to 20.
That's not terrible.
But, you know, I feel like we got some better energy going in.
There's a lot more certainty on this team.
But talk to me about what you're doing to get prepared to play a team like Indy.
What are their strengths that you're working on, overcoming and ultimately beating?
I think they're just, they're a very good program.
And they always build a very good roster.
And they're bringing back a lot of their offense.
Their quarterback was really good last year.
He's becoming back.
but I think, yeah, them just being really physical,
but I think us preparing for what they do well
is we just got to take care of the line of scrimmage.
I think this year our two strongest points
and our two things that we have to really lean on
is our O-line and D-line.
And I think if we really combo
and dominate those two sides of the ball,
I think we'll be pretty set
and pretty happy with the results.
Yeah, so have you guys been like studying their,
I mean, you obviously watch their film,
so how's their D-line this year?
Talk to me about that a little bit.
So they have one,
returning starter from last year.
And then they have a couple backups that are still playing.
So their D-Lions actually very new.
And we don't have a lot of film on them.
We have a couple, just the one kid that we've been studying.
And there's a couple other backups.
But new faces on the D-Line, their linebackers coming back.
They're one, all conference linebackers gone.
But they still have those other two guys that are really solid players and that are
really good.
So we're excited, though.
we're very confident in the group up front with us O'Lyman.
And so, yeah, we're ready to play.
So this week is Victory Day.
Talk to me a little bit just about Victory Day,
what that looks like and what that is.
Victory Day is pretty cool.
It's just people from the community with special needs or disabilities,
and they just get to come Friday night,
and they have a meal with us and the team,
and then we just go out on the field with them,
and we have a good time, and we just play around
and just have them just run around with us
and just they love it, seeing their smiles.
And then on Saturday, they actually get to be on the field
and score, quote-to-quote, fake touchdowns
against different teams.
So they always have a blast and seeing them smiles always,
it's a really high spot for us.
So final question.
Talk to me about what it's like.
You guys, center and right guard.
You're right next to each other.
So what does that like to not only play right next to your brother,
but your twin?
How's that feeling?
It's great.
I mean, we've been doing our whole lives.
We've been moving around positions too from
We've played every position on the line
But it's been cool to play next to them
And it's been cool to not have to worry about
You know, special communications between twins, you know
So it's good
It's a lot of fun and we have a good time
And yeah, I think one of the things
Offense alignment
As a group, you have to get a lot of reps under your belt together
And I think this group of five has had a lot of reps
Together so we have a very cohesive thing
but something unique about us is we've had it because millions of millions more roughs than anyone else
that ever has. So I think us blocking together is a very different thing that people underestimate
with how we just get, we just block well together.
Well, thank you guys so much for joining us. I'm super, super excited about the game tomorrow.
So good luck.
Thank you, thank you. Thanks for having us.
And you're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM. Back to you guys in the booth.
Now this is a new era for Hillsdale College football with a brand new head.
coach but the crew of radio free hillsdale has a brand new pregame ritual for the 2024 season where we
change where we select excuse me a game changing charger so we'll start off with hannah our
sideline reporter who's the changing charger for tonight's game yeah it's good to be up in the
booth before i get down on the sidelines i got to go with quarterback cole canter i think he's
going to be a huge crucial part obviously the quarterback always is of today's game but especially
going up against a defensive powerhouse like Indy.
They're ranked number 16th in the nation in all Division 2,
but also they have a ton of amazing returning starters that, you know,
are going to put a little bit of pressure on Cantor as he's, you know, a new starter.
He's got to get his feet wet a little bit and get ready.
But if he can stick in the pocket and get that ball out, get it clean,
it's going to be great.
I think he's going to be a game-changing charger for sure.
So Cole Canter is Hannah's selection.
Ty Ruddy's my color commentator tonight.
So, Ty, who do you have as your?
changing charger.
All right, Ted.
So tonight, my game changing
charger is going to be Kyle Riffel.
He's a new addition there in the backfield
filling the big shoes of Michael Herzog.
Hillsdale, as a whole,
last season, rushed for
2,600 and 9 yards.
Herzog accounted for 1,300
of those yards.
Like I said, Riffel's got some big shoes to fill,
didn't play much last year.
But if he can step up in the run game,
that'll open up their past game,
a whole bunch. And with this pro style,
offense, it's essential to be able to have both the run and the pass with the RPO.
Now, my game-changing charger for the first game of the year of the 2024 season is Shea Ruddy,
the brother of Ty Ruddy.
Last year, he had 18 receptions, 379 yards, and five touchdowns.
He's one of the super freshmen last year, who's now a sophomore.
It's really the tail of the tape here is just this next generation of chargers, how they're going to fare against the
16th ranked Greyhounds of University of Indianapolis. It's really exciting. So here we go.
24 seconds till kickoff. The Greyhounds trout out onto the field on this beautiful Michigan evening.
A little chilly, to be honest, about 60 degrees, but we're excited. I never really, I never called a
night game last year. It's new for me. I hear there's fireworks after the game as well.
So here we go.
Chargers are going to start with the ball.
Are you looking on the offensive side?
What do you want?
What would you like Hillsdale to be doing just to kind of get their new quarterback?
Cole Cantor kind of warmed up into the game.
Yeah.
So Hannah mentioned it coming in.
There was a three-way battle for the quarterback coming into this game.
There has been all off-season.
I have a few insiders on the team there.
But Colcantzer won the job.
And so he's going to, like I said, he's going to need Kyle Riffle in the backfield to set up that
that run game and they have pratt Connor Pratt and they have
Shay Ruddy on the outside if they're able to balance the the run game
with a successful RPO they'll be they'll be successful on offense which is as much as
you can ask for so Colin Seymour kicked it off for the Greyhounds it's caught in the
back of the end zone by Shay Ruddy so on comes Cantor and company
Cole Cantor transfer from Wayne state true sophomore he saw no
playing time at Wayne State.
So this is really kind of his first action in D2 football.
So we'll see how this first drive goes.
Ball's placed at the 25.
Fresh set of downs for Cantor.
Cantor in the gun.
Riffle 2 is right.
Two receivers to the near side.
Canter gives to Riffle.
Riffle running left.
He's to the 34.
Cuts back upfield.
finally corralled at about the
25 yard line, excuse me.
So you can already start to see it.
They're in the gun right away, not under center.
They spent a lot of time under center last season.
They're spread out more this year.
I think they're looking to spread the ball out
with this new young receiver core.
So now second down in nine.
1431 left in the first quarter.
Cantor in the gun.
Riffel 2 is right.
It's a give to Riffle to.
Option sweep back together.
Biden-Vankan board. He's to the 20.
Tries to cut it back up build, but a great tackle there by the Greyhound Secondary.
Tackled there by Jalen Gervin.
Six foot 185-pound junior, 28 solo tackles last year.
Transfer from Michigan Tech.
The Chargers will actually be playing next week.
So there's a way to come out of the season and say, hey, we're a different team.
You run a reverse in the second play of the game.
That's a five-yard lot.
Third down in 15.
Cantor in the gun, riffled to his right.
Motion from Williams.
Three receivers in the game.
Two to the far side.
One to the near.
Cantor looking far side.
Rolls, rolls, rolls, nothing.
And he's sacked in the backfield.
Well, not really the backfield.
He was rolling right, but an amazing open field tackle there.
Clay Schulte on that tackle.
11 solo tackles last year.
It's from Oak Harbor, Ohio, but that was a great open field tackle.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Clay Schulte actually had 82 tackles, not 11 solo, but he was a major, major player for U.N.D.'s defense last year.
I would say he's going to be really, really important for this game.
And obviously, an important sack.
Kind of.
Can't.
Testing, testing, testing.
So the Chargers punt the ball away.
It actually wasn't a very good punt.
So U-Indy's going to set up on 40.
Now the starting quarterback for the U-Indy Greyhound.
My Home State.
195 completions last year,
2,700 passing yards.
Brad on nearly 300 rush yards with 25 total touchdowns.
So he's in the pistol.
behind him receivers in the game. It's play action.
Sukup looking left. Now rolls right.
Five by the Hillsdale secondary. Great run support there from Vince France.
Really good job of coming up in
to just throw that one out of bounds.
So there's a flag on the...
It looked like... Yeah, he threw...
Sucup threw the ball out of bounds.
So holding off to their penalty first time.
So holding on the Greyhounds O line and that's going to
to midfield.
First down and 10, ball at the 50, 1241 lap.
Three receivers in the game.
One to the far side.
Shook up in the gun.
Lewis to his right.
It's a give to Lewis.
It's a die.
Three.
What a shot.
Wow.
What a hit.
That linebacker core will.
Safety for the Chargers.
Great run support there.
41 total tackles last year out of Kingsley, Michigan.
6-3-2010 pounds.
So a bigger safety.
And Ted, as we get started here, as the Chargers get started here on the defense,
we've obviously talked about how suckup is a great player, is a great player.
So what keys are you looking for in the Hillsdale secondary in defense?
Suckup gives it to Lewis.
He's to the 45, 40.
Lewis spins down to the 26 yard line.
Wow.
An offensive line had that flag against them for holding,
but really opened up a nice hole there for Lewis to run through.
Some phenomenal broken tackles there.
He was sandwiched at one point and spun out of both of them at once.
Strong running from John Lewis, a senior, 510, 197 pounds out of Hermitage, Tennessee, 1134.
Left in the first quarter, first down.
and 10, ball at the 26.
Shook up in the gun.
Lewis to his left.
Three receivers in the game.
Shook up looking left.
He's got a wide open receiver.
Touchdown, Greyhounds.
Wide open on the flat side of the field.
He didn't even follow the player.
He left him completely open.
That was really hard and that was going to be a really big factor for you,
Indy and Hillsdale today is can the D.Bs keep up with these wide receivers?
They're so fast and it's not looking so good already.
So Kobe Lewis on.
that touchdown just really ran a fly pattern just up the seam.
It seemed like there was miscommunication from the Hillsdale secondary.
See the extra point, extra point attempted and good.
Ian Burr makes it Greyhound seven Chargers, nothing.
1123 left in the first quarter.
So this is coming up Cole Cantor's second series as a Charger quarterback.
I guess what would you like to see from him, kind of get him more comfortable, maybe some more runs,
but there really wasn't much in that first drive, really of a rush game for the Chargers.
Yeah, I think that's right.
I would say he needs to be more comfortable this time around.
There wasn't even a chance for him to get comfortable last time around.
I mean, he was running for his life, three out of the four plays that they had.
This time around, I think it's on the offensive line.
They have the aft holters up there.
they need they need something they need they need something so maybe you establish a run game maybe you
establish a run game with riffle work the ball down the field a little bit that's what seemed to
help hillsdale on a couple wins last year i was doing my research last night it just seemed a lot
of the skill positions especially in the backfield for the chargers it's just a really young squad
which is encouraging for years to come but frightening against
Number 16, U-Indy.
So it will be a tall task.
We'll see how they fare on the second possession.
Colin Seymour to kick this one off.
1123 left first quarter.
Greyhound seven, Chargers, nothing.
Wow, what a kick there from Seymour.
Nearly hit the track at the back of the end zone.
But it's a touchback by Colin Seymour, caught by Shea Ruddy.
So here we go.
Cantor and Company part two.
1123 left, first quarter.
Cantor's now under center.
Cole Tetler, or excuse me, Zach Tetler in the backfield.
Two receivers to the near side.
It's give to Tetler.
Tetler running right.
He makes a nice move, cuts it up the field.
Gain of three.
Ball at the 28.
A little more space there between the tight end and the tackle on the right side of that play.
Maybe he'll still see some more success running kind of further outside those inside gaps.
10.57 left first quarter. Cantor in the gun. Tetler behind him.
Three receivers in the game, one to the far side, two to the near side.
Snap is good. Back to Tetler. Tetler running left in nothing there. Greyhounds everywhere, swarm that play.
Wow.
That looked like Amory Stevens for the Greyhounds in the outside there.
Read that end perfectly.
He wasn't too far upfield.
He was able to condense the line down and let his buddies come and finish off Tettler.
Amory Stevens, a junior 6 foot 270 pound player for the U.N.E Greyhounds from Columbia, South Carolina.
So now third down in 10, ball to 25.
Cancer in the gun. Teller to his left.
Bunch formation to the far side.
Cancer looking far side.
Throws. He's got a man open. It's Ruddy.
Shea Ruddy caught it at about the 38 scoots up before getting shoved out at the 40-yard line.
But there's a really nice throw and catch for those chargers to kind of jumpstart this drive.
So maybe that'll calm your nerves a little bit if you're cold cancer.
You know, getting a shoot route under your belt.
There's a first down. Working your way down in the field a little bit.
maybe get something going here on this drive i think the greyhounds were expecting a run soft coverage on
the far side it's first down in 10 ball of their own 40 canter gives to riffle riffle running right
balls out it looks like the greyhounds pick it up the refs are blowing it dead
refs blow it dead but i'll be honest i it looked like he scooped it up they must have saw something
that i didn't see flowers of the greyhounds had the ball ran it into it and
to the end zone claiming the ball was live.
Sandflowers 5'9, 204 pounds senior from Hazel Crest, Illinois.
Very productive player.
Very productive player for the Greyhounds last year.
40 solo tackles.
But wow, what a hit there.
The 41 yard line of the Chargers.
So on Trots, Sukup and the Greyhounds for their second drive of the game.
935 left first quarter.
Chargers 7.
U-Indie, excuse me,
U-Indie 7.
Chargers nothing.
So first down in 10th, ball at the 41.
Really good field position there
for the Greyhounds.
Just to give to John Lewis,
and Lewis is just met by a wall of chargers at the line.
really nice job there by hunter spearling spirling 6-3 300 pounds he did really good job there
filling in the gap so now second down in 10 ball still at the charger 40 suke up in pistol lewis behind him
give the lewis lewis running right and he gets about three some tussling down here on the near side
Vince Francis Cone, Scone.
And a Greyhound receiver.
Well, to keep an eye on that.
I'd have to be expecting a throw here from the Greyhounds.
You would think so.
On a fourth and mid, on side of the field,
looking to go out 14-0.
Third down and six, ball at the third charger, 37.
826 left first quarter.
Sucup, in the piece.
pistol looking right he's has some space he's going to try to scamper the first down oh but i think
he stopped just short vince francis gone on that hit his confidence back yeah he left he had a receiver
open on that first drive and the greyhound scored an easy seven points but a great job there open
field tackling just such a difficult task when playing football so let's keep an eye on this the
greyhounds are going for this the greyhounds are going to go for this fourth down and two ball to
charger 33 crowd's getting into it suke up looking right he's got loose out in the front but it's
blocked it was a little out route but it was deflected by a hillsdale defensive lineman
Drake Badger.
Drake Badger got his hand in the way and the ball fell to the turf.
So the Hillsdale Chargers will take over in Greyhound territory.
What a great defensive player.
You got to say the energy just shifts.
All the players on the sidelines are super excited.
They're getting ready to get behind the ball.
And the energy is just starting to change already.
Yeah, Hannah, I can feel the momentum here.
Hopefully the Chargers can make something of it on their third drive.
Cancer in the gun.
Tetler to his right.
Three receivers in the game.
to give the Tetler running left.
He gets a short gain on first down,
knocked out of bounds after about two.
So Ted, something we've already talked about today is
how young our Hillsdale backfield is.
But one player I think we should keep an eye on
is number 87, Ty Williams,
who's going to serve as kind of an anchor throughout this whole season.
He's a veteran guy, he's huge.
He's a big guy, so he's going to serve as a good blocker
for those young,
running backs. So second down and seven ball at their own 33. Canter in the gun. Teller to his right,
three receivers in the game. Canter throws long. He's got a man. Oh, just too high for Shea Ruddy.
The opposing 35-yard line, but he was open down the seam. As a brother, I wanted to tell him to keep
running, but I think that might have been an overthrow. It's a little awkward. The sun's setting,
So half the field's shadows, half the fields still in that sunshine.
So it was just right at that point of shadows and sun.
So now third down and seven for the Chargers.
Ball at their own, 36, 654 left.
First quarter, Cantor in the gun.
Teller to his left, three receivers to the far side.
Canter looking far side, looking right, throws.
He's got a man incomplete.
Oh, goes off the hands of Vin Inconvort.
and almost deflex into another Chargers' receivers' hands.
I think that if their charges are wanting to win this game,
they're really going to need to pick it up on the offense.
They've got to get their confidence back.
Indy's a great team, but Hillsdale's good too.
They've been working really hard.
They have a lot of great players.
And I think that they need to act like a little bit more.
They seem like they're a little bit afraid,
and they just got to, especially Cole, got to get behind the ball
and just throw it, throw it accurately.
And I think that's going to be a game changer.
So the Chargers are going to punt this one away.
It's received at about the 25 and forced out of bounds.
Great play there by Zach Pardoni.
They not give any room on that kickoff or that punt return by the Greyhounds.
But oh my goodness, the deflected pass almost caught by Ryan Skirr there.
That would have been a 30-yard gain.
And it was, he was tumbled over coming up from a somersault and it almost fell into his lap.
So Cantor two incompletions on that drive, just a little too high.
Hopefully he can settle in on this next drive.
So Sukup in the gun, two running backs in the backfield.
Play action.
Sukup looking right now, rolls out left.
He's going to throw it.
He's got an open man incomplete.
Just a little too far outside there for Anthony Crowell,
who really is just a big impact player for the Greyhound.
pounds, 5-960 pounds, sophomore.
35 receptions last year.
400 receiving yards and four touchdowns,
but he was conference freshman of the year.
So we'll keep an eye on Anthony Crowell.
So second down in 10.
Ball at their own, 28.
Sukup in the gun.
Lewis to his right.
Two receivers to the far side.
One to the near.
It's to give to Lewis.
Lewis runs up the middle,
tackled it.
The 33-yard line.
Really good blocking there by the Greyhound offensive line, giving positive gain on first, second down to make the third down more manageable.
I'm going to mention some impact players for the charges real quick on the defense.
Zach Toki up front, veteran defensive tackle, number 99, and Jacob Vance in the backfield, who had 54 tackles last year.
So Sukup in the gun, Lewis 2 is right, four receivers in the game, three to the near side, one to the far.
Sukup, looking right, throws off his back foot, he's got an open man.
caught it to 48 yard line and wrestled out of bounds.
That was Will Wims on the tackle there.
Will Wims with a great tackle, but not after a huge conversion there for this crowd's been getting into it more.
Marquez Gillum on that catch.
Really nice route from him.
He kind of flattened it to go in between the linebacker core and that free safety in Will Wims.
So first down in 10, ball in Hillsdale territory.
Sukup in the gun.
John Lewis to his left.
Two receivers to the near side.
Sukup, looking right, throws.
Deflected.
Ball almost intercepted.
I think Sukup's arm was hit as he was releasing that football.
That's going to be Landon Van Beek from the left side there.
That's what it looked like to me.
Able to get in there and get his hand on the quarterback's arm there.
Logan Van Beek, 6'4, 275-pound junior out of Grand Haven, Michigan.
21 total tackles last year, but really nice job on that play to affect it.
What seemed could have been a successful throw.
Sukup in the gun.
Three receivers in the game, two of the far side, one to the near.
It's just a simple dive up the middle, but a nice gain to the charger 40.
So that's an eight-yard gain on second down.
And those second-down gains are huge, right?
Because that sets you up for, that's the difference between a third and short and a third and long.
Third and long, you have no other choice but to pass.
On a third and short, you're still probably going to throw the ball,
but it gives you a little bit more room to work with.
Jaden Schlaubach on that last run.
Sucke up in pistol.
Schlaubach to his right.
Motion from Lewis.
Schlaubach's tackled.
Stopped right where he stood.
Wow.
There's a U. Indie helmet off on the field.
I'm pretty sure number 67's going to have to go out for a play if I'm right.
He's out for a play on Indianapolis.
Good call, Hannah.
That may be huge here because it's going to be fourth down and short
without its starting offensive linemen,
but it looks like Coach Chris Keeves of U-Indie's just going to opt to punt this one away.
418 left, first quarter.
Greyhound 7, Chargers nothing.
Ball at the 4-Charger 41.
Fourth and three.
High snap.
The ball bounces at the opposing 30.
The punter scoops it up.
He's going to try to kick it again, and he does.
Oh, my goodness.
And the ball's going to roll down all the way down to the charger five.
That was a way to turn a disaster into a miracle.
Ian Burr had the snap fly over.
his head. The ball bounced at his
at his own 30 when
he was standing at midfield
and ends up kicking it
all the way down to the
Charger 5. Now that's
flipping the field. Heck of a recovery
by the punter there. We have a Charger
down on the field. Looks like Landon
Van Beek, number 96, the D.N.
who was able to cause a pass
deflection a couple minutes ago. I want
to talk about that third down
play that the Chargers just had to
force that punt. It looked like a counter
me, but Vance read it perfectly. I mean, you got, you got one person blocking your key
to keep your eye on that other running back and then fill that hole is huge, especially on
a third and short with the Greyhounds driving. Hannah, what's the morale like down there on the
sideline? There's been a lot of ups and downs in this game so far, but he'll still still
in it. Yeah, I got to say, I mean, after that, there was some,
insane excitement happening
but after you know the puncher
was able to make it all the way back to
whatever yard line they are all the way on
Hillsdale's own
10 it's looking like to me
they're going to have to fight for it but I
think that they're ready they're a little bit mad
there's some things that have not gone in their favor
and they're ready to start putting some points on the board
so first down in 10 canter
in the gun ball at their own six
motion from Williams
to give to Tetler
and he gets three
Check that.
Kyle Riffel on the run.
Nice jump cut from him.
Running straight.
Nice cut to the left, but he only gets one on that play.
3.30 left first quarter.
Greyhound 7.
Chargers nothing.
Ball at their own 7.
So that really minimizes what you can do with the playbook when you're just down inside your own 10.
Yeah, you're obviously not looking to drop back.
you're going to throw out of your own end zone there.
Canter in the gun, riffle to his left.
He's looking to throw.
Moves up into the pocket.
He's just going to tuck and run it.
Takes a big shot, the 11-yard line.
Looks like some of the players are motioning
that the ball came out.
It looks like Cantor recovers.
It's going to set up a third and medium.
So I stand corrected there, actually.
I said that you're not going to drop back.
Canter dropped back, touched his own goal line,
and I was able to scramble for a couple there.
gives him some breathing room to maybe open up the past game here.
240 left first quarter.
Third down in five at their own 11.
Chargers taking their time, getting the play in.
It's 1v1 on the outside between Bray and Eddings and Shea Ruddy, my game-changing charger.
Cantor in the gun.
It's a gift of Vanden Gn vort running left.
He's got some room.
And he's going to convert on the first down.
What a great run from him.
Started off on the far side, came looping around.
Utilized a lot by the Chargers last year.
When you can't necessarily win some of the line of scrimmage battles,
start trying to run to the outside.
That's a big conversion.
They finally get out of their own territory.
Well, deep inside their own territory.
So ball now at their own 18.
Cancer under center, 152 left, first quarter.
Tetler in the backfield.
It's a pitch to Tetler.
Teller running right.
Great tackle there.
By the linebacker core of the Greyhounds.
Tetler's going to lose a yard, so it's going to set up second down in 11.
124 left first quarter.
Greyhound 7, Chargers 0.
Ball at Throne 17, Cantor in the gun.
Teller behind him, motion from Ruddy.
to give to Tetler.
Tetler running left.
Tries to make a move.
Spin move.
But he just kept getting strung out
and tackled now at the 10-yard line.
He lost nearly seven yards on that play.
So that backs up the Chargers even further.
Yeah, it just looked like some jet motion
with Shea there in the front.
Tattle wasn't, he wasn't able to escape
a couple of those Greyhounds.
They got him for a loss about seven there.
I think the Chargers were trying to set something up
with Shea. Some jet motion there. So now third down in 17. 38 seconds left first quarter. Ball on the
11. Canter in the gun. Tatler to his left. Three receivers in the game. Canter looking right. He has a
man open and incomplete. In and out of the hands is Shea Ruddy. So it looks like the Chargers
is going to trot out, punt this ball away, which very well may be one of the last play.
of the first quarter, an eventful first quarter.
Not by the scoreboard standard, but.
What you don't want to see is, you know, our defense is doing a pretty good job holding
them. They've scored, you know, one time, but they've picked it up after that.
And, you know, you got to rely on the offense. They've got to start making some ground and
getting some yardage here and score. So the snap is good. The punt,
is high to the right, bounces at the charger 43-yard. Our,
line. So great field position for Gavin Sukup here. He's had great field position for the
greyhounds every time he stepped on the field. Yeah, he has. And I just mentioned something about the
scoreboard a second ago. It's only 7 to 0, but I don't know about you, Ted. This seems like a
lopsided game. That's now two punting possessions, two Hillsdale punts from which the greyhounds
are starting on the charger side of the field. So Sukup and pistol, Lewis behind him.
Two receivers in the game, one to the far side, one to the near side.
To give to Lewis, Lewis running left use to the 40.
And tackled the 38-yard line.
Jacob Vance on that tackle, 6'215 pounds sophomore,
the leading tackler on the 2023 Charger Football Team,
and actually linebacker of the year.
And that's the end of the first quarter.
You're listening to Charger Football right here on 101.7, Radio Free Hillsdale.
After one to three,
we need a death of free help.
This is the Making of America
from the Jefferson Media Group.
In 1949,
evangelist Billy Graham
began his preaching career
in a mostly empty tent
pitched on an empty lot in Los Angeles.
When newspaper mogul William Randolph Hurst
heard his message,
he had his reporters promote him,
and the rest is history.
Soon his tent was overflowing,
and Graham would rise to lead America's
Christian community for more than five decades, providing spiritual counseling to everyone from
Martin Luther King to Bono to every president from Eisenhower to Bush. Once called the American
Pope, Billy Graham carried his message of hope and faith to over 215 million people in 185 nations.
This has been The Making of America. I'm Michael Emerson, and you can visit us at jeffersonmediagroup.com.
Welcome back to 101.7 Radio Free Hillsdale.
I'm Ted Ferringer.
My partner in the booth this evening is Ty Ruddy.
So the Greyhounds lead the Hillsdale Chargers after the first quarter.
Seven to nothing.
Start of the second quarter, ball at the charger 39.
Sukup in the gun.
Lewis behind him.
Two receivers to the far side, one to the near side.
Sukup just throws it outside to Lewis.
Lewis to the 35-30.
Makes a cut.
He's down to the 20.
shoved out of bounds at the 18 yard line.
Great play design there from the greyhounds.
And it's a huge pickup to start the third drive of the game for Sukup and Company.
It looked like Badger got a little far up field there as the defensive end.
Sukup was able to just toss it right over his head.
One thing I've noticed in this game so far is the physicality difference between the Greyhounds and the Chargers.
The Greyhounds are a ground and pound type of team.
even though they're spreading it out
Sukup in the gun
left
spin still alive
down to the 19
yard line
so a positive gain on first down
nice run in there from
Garrett Sherrill
that's going to make it second down in six
Greyhounds
officially in chart in the
red zone
deep in charge of territory
13 55 left
second quarter
Greyhound 7 Chargers nothing
16th ranked
Greyhounds are driving
Sukup in the gun
Cheryl to his right
three receivers in the game
Sukup looking right now left
he has a man open
touchdown Greyhounds
what a pitch and catch there
from you Indy to make it
13 nothing
it's a nice route there from
Kobe Lewis
of you
U-Indy just really right up the seam in between the two high safeties of that charger defense,
right between Will Wims and Jack Trochik.
So now the extra point by Ian Burr is up, and it's good.
U-Indy 14, Chargers Nothing.
You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7.
We'll be back for the fifth series for the Charger offense.
This is The Making of America from the Jefferson Media Group.
How much do you really know about producer, director, star, film composer, and politician, Clint Eastwood?
You probably know he's been nominated 11 times and won four Oscars for Unforgiven American Sniper and Million Dollar Baby.
You probably know he's written eight musical score.
appeared in over 200 television shows, acted in 64 films, produced 25 more, and directed another 40.
He's long been considered Hollywood royalty.
But are you aware that Clint Eastwood is a direct ascendant of Charlemagne, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire?
In other words, he really is royalty.
This has been The Making of America.
I'm Michael Emerson, and you can visit us at Jefferson Media Group.
1.7 Radio Free Hillsdale. I'm Ted Ferringer, my partner in the booth. This evening is Ty Ruddy.
So the Greyhound's going to kick this one off. After scoring their second touchdown of the game, they're up 14-0 over the chargers.
Ian Burr with the kick. It's a little bit short, fielded by Ruddy at the 15.
Shea Ruddy running left. He has some space to the 30. He makes a cut. Tackled at the 36-yard line.
and my game-changing charger made a nice play.
Making something happen, so maybe Hillsdale can keep this momentum going
as we head into the night here with the shadows creeping across the field.
Hopefully Cantor can get something going on the offense.
Now, I have to give a shout out to the student section,
which 90% of them is from Simpson Dormitory.
So it's a good show out here from the student section.
So Ruddy's going to field this one.
It's give to Van Inkenvort running right.
Some miss tackles from the Greyhounds, but he's finally dragged down at the 39 yard line.
So Shea Ruddy was Wildcat quarterback there.
Seamus plug here.
They're actually calling that formation Bobcat this year.
The mascot of Shea Ruddy's high school, Ottawa Lake Whiteford.
So he was a quarterback in high school, maybe trying to change things up there a little bit.
Cantor's back in the gun now.
So Cantor's back.
Back. Second down and eight. Ball at their own. 39. Riffel to his right. Bunch formation to the far side.
Motion from Williams. Give to Riffle. Riffle running left. He's to the 3940. Burst forward to the 46-yard line.
A great run on second down. It's going to set up a third and short. But there we go. We have the outside running lanes.
They're actually opening up a little bit. And that's what I was talking about earlier with. If we can get that running game.
started with Riffle. It's a start. It was about a seven-yard gain there, but like I said,
there's a start. So third down in one, 1220 left. Second quarter, Cantor under center.
To give to Riffle, Riffle running right, and he's hit in the backfield by Clay Schulte. Oh my goodness.
A huge loss. It's Chargers lose three. Now balls at the 47.
yard line. It looked like two greyhounds
in the backfield there instantly. I mean he didn't
even cross the threshold of
Cantor's arm before they
both had him wrapped up.
So balls actually, excuse me,
at the Charger 43,
Cantor's still in the game, it's fourth down
and four. This might be a
QB punt situation. Motion
from Van Inkenbort.
Canter's going to punt this.
It's a looping punt
and it bounces
at the 30 yard line before rolling
down to the 20 yard line, down to the 19 of the Greyhounds.
So Greyhounds are up, 14-0-0 over the Chargers.
11-22 left, second quarter.
Now some scoring updates here.
Number five-ranked Notre Dame leads.
Northern Illinois, 14 to 13, with two minutes left.
Shocking.
Issues.
Issues in college football.
Upset alert.
11.22 left.
Second quarter, first down in 10.
Ball at their own 19.
Sucup in the gun.
Cheryl to his right.
Three receivers in the game.
Cheryl, play action.
Looking right.
Looking, looking, looking, scans.
Moves up in the pocket.
He's sacked.
Nice play there.
That is definitely a momentum changer for the Chargers
to get a sack down in the books.
I would say it's looking up.
Chargers need to stop here
by the defense. The offense have sparks with some of the running lanes. Receivers have been
open as she's Cantor and the wide receiver core have yet to connect. 1048 left second quarter.
Sukup in the gun. Sheryl to his right, three receivers to the far side, one to the near side.
Second down in 12. Give to Cheryl running left. Tackled at the 19 yard line. What a nice tackle by the defense.
offensive line of the Chargers.
And that brings up
Evan being a Nick.
For the Chargers,
rotating for this D-line,
he makes two big tackles.
So now third down in line.
Third down in nine.
Sukup in the gun.
Sherald 2 is right.
Four receivers in the game.
Sukup looking right.
Has a receiver over the middle.
It's caught for the first down.
Soderdoll, just a step behind the receiver.
there wasn't able to get his hand.
I don't know if he was a step behind the receiver,
but that was a heck of a pitch and catch for the Greyhounds.
Alonzo, Derek on that grab.
21 receptions, 414 touchdown.
Excuse me, yards.
That'd be ridiculous.
400 touchdowns.
400 yards.
And four touchdowns last year,
averaging 103 yards a game.
So really nice job from him.
933 left, second quarter, first down in 10,
Ball at Throne 36.
It's a kid to Cheryl running left and he's hitting the backfield.
Drake Badger on that play.
Really nice job from him.
Got past that U-Indy offensive line.
So that's a loss of one.
Now it's second down in 11.
Ball at throw on 35.
9-07 left.
Second quarter.
You start running the ball a lot and the quarters just fly by.
Yeah, that third down conversion we saw a second ago was the inverse of what we've been seen on offense,
just not converting when you need to.
Shook up in the gun, second down in 11.
Cheryl behind him, motion from a receiver.
So end around.
What a hit on the Hillsdale sideline there, but it was a gain of eight.
A gain of eight on an end around, but a huge hit from Jack Trachitt, wowsers.
I heard that from up here.
It moves the chains.
Got an update from the sidelines.
Logan Van Ingevort is now out for the game.
Apparently there's something with his knee,
so that's a little update on the offensive front.
So fresh set of downs from that run by Marquez Gillum,
but it ended with some pain there.
First down in 10, ball at thrown 46.
To give to Cheryl off the middle,
he has some roomies to the 40s to the 40.
Charger 3530 15 10 tackled by Matt Satterdoll but he gets all the way down to the eight yard line of the Chargers
that looks a dashing run there from the Greyhounds that looked like the Red Sea opening up in the middle there it was just a draw play
and he was he was able to dodge just about everybody not even with a move just pretty much running straight he made one nice cut
back into the middle of the field.
Speed couldn't carry him all the way.
So now first down in goal.
Ball at the charger eight.
Sukup in the gun, Cheryl to his left.
Motion across the field.
Three receivers to the near side.
Motions back.
Cuts it up to the six.
It's the man who caught the touchdown pass for the greyhounds.
Kobe Lewis.
5-11, 208-pound junior out of Mason, Ohio.
So second and again.
goal six yards to go for the greyhounds you indy 14 Chargers nothing we now have three receivers in the game
Sukup in the gun Cheryl to his right one to the near side two to the far side motion from the
tight end to draw play touchdown Greyhounds a little draw play there from Sukup and Cheryl
and their hback just snuck up right behind
the line, Ethan Hand with the touchdown for U-Indie makes it 20-0.
That's a beautiful play design right there and a beautiful play call because it's the same draw
play that they ran a second ago that brought them down into the red zone except they pulled it,
dumped it right over the top. So Ian Burr is going to try to make this 21-0.
Kick is up and it's good. You-Indy-21. Another update is
Landon Van Beek is out for the game as well.
He had an injury out on the field and he just came out of the locker room in his sweat.
So he's also an asset that's no longer going to be playing with us today.
That's a big loss for the Chargers.
6-4-275-pound junior out of Grand Haven, Michigan.
So what age they had on the line is now getting younger.
We're going to have to get some more young guys off the bench and onto the D-line to try to get back into this game and stop this potent Greyhound offense.
In other news, it looks like Northern Illinois's leading number five Notre Dame 16 to 14 with 31 seconds left in the game.
College football is absurd these days.
How did that happen?
I had watched exactly zero college football today, but.
I can't imagine how a Max school comes into Notre Dame and ends up winning.
So Colin Seymour to kick this one away.
For you, Indy, 632 left, second quarter.
Fielded by Ruddy, the nine-yard line running right, looking for some blocks, makes a nice move before being dragged down at the 26-yard line.
So on Trots, cancer and company, take number.
five or six. I've lost count of the series
now. We'll go with number six. I think we're at
six. They have
sideline players
for the chargers motioning in the play.
Cantor under center.
Ball at their own 27, first
down in 10. Two receivers in the game.
Riffle in the
back field. It's a give to Riffle. Riffle running
left. He has some space.
Chimmy's up the field.
Finally tackled
at the 34-yard line.
Nice positive gain on first down.
It seems the left side of the line's doing well.
Try to keep attacking the U-ND lineman
and Aaron Barnett and Amory Stevens.
To Cantor in the gun, Riffle to his left,
three receivers in the game, two the nearest side, one to the far side.
To give the Riffle, running right, he has some room,
cuts it up to the 35, bulldozes forward to the 39-yard line.
That's going to move the chains.
45 left.
Second quarter.
I think more of these runs will kind of get this offense more into the game.
Kind of settle everyone down a little bit.
I think that's right.
I talked earlier about the physicality of the Greyhounds.
If you can match that, you're in a good spot.
It's cancer in pistol.
Tetler behind him.
Two receivers in the game.
First down in 10, their own 39.
Looks like it's a false start on that left side of that charger line.
It's going to push him back five.
85 on the offense to five-year-a penalty first down.
So 5-22 left.
Second quarter.
Hillsdale, 21.
Excuse me.
You Indy 21.
Hillsdale nothing.
I think we got to get the crowd more into this.
We need a big play here.
Cancer in the gun.
Teller to his right.
Three receivers to the far side.
Motion from Ruddy.
Fall at their own 34 to give to Ruddy running right.
five-yard gain for him finally tackled at the 39-yard line.
Hannah, have you got any updates on how the chargers are going to pivot here with some injuries?
What young guys are coming up and what that's all looking like.
Yeah, I'm watching some younger players start warming up.
I mean, obviously Logan Van Bick's not in.
It looks like 85 is in for him.
I could be wrong, but I'm not sure what player he is.
I would say they've got a little bit of depth in their defensive.
It's caught by Ruddy.
Cancer made a throw across the middle, and Ruddy's going to score.
There we go.
Sorry to cut you off there, Hannah, but it was a huge play.
Oh, my goodness.
Just hit him on the post across the field.
What a momentum changer.
Oh, my gosh.
Huge momentum swing.
And it's that Ruddy magic, baby.
There's your game-changing charge.
Right there.
With the bread and butter.
That's opposed to cross the field, catch it,
and then Nolan's catching Shay Ruddy on the open field.
Wowsers.
Nearly a 60-yard touchdown pitching catch there.
The extra point is up, and it's good.
So Hillsdale gets on the board emphatically.
Charger 7.
U-Indie 21.
425 left.
Second quarter, you're listening to Charger football,
right here on 101.
Welcome to the old ballgame, where we talk about the past of America's favorite pastime.
I'm Tate Christensen.
Professional sports teams trade players all the time, and usually the trade is player for player,
but there have historically been some strange trades between baseball teams.
One of these trades happened in 1930 with Johnny Jones.
Johnny Jones was a shortstop for the Chattanooga Lookouts.
He was having a bad year.
His batting average was suffering, and the local press was taunting him relentlessly.
noticing this, his manager, former major leaguer Joe Engel, traded Jones to the Charlotte Hornets for a live 25-pound turkey,
who, as Engel said, was having a better year.
Engel ended up cooking the turkey for a Southern Baseball Riders Association dinner.
But the meat was reportedly tough and dry.
Unfortunately, it was not a winner-winner turkey dinner for Engel and the Lookouts.
This has been the old ball game on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
Underway here from Braden Childs.
Huge hit by the Charger special team.
So Ewing is going to trot out onto the field.
There's sixth drive of the game.
418 left.
Second quarter.
If you're just tuning in, the Chargers just had a huge play.
Where Cantor connected with Shea Ruddy.
To make it 21 to 7.
Sukup trots back into the game.
game. John Lewis in the backfield with him. Two receivers in the game. One to the far side,
one to the near side. First down and 10 at their own 19. Sukup. Give to Lewis running left. He's hit
immediately by that defensive line of the Chargers. Evan being in it. Yeah, and I think
oh go ahead, Hannah. That a huge game changer for these Chargers was this huge play resulting in a huge
charge down obviously the defense has so much momentum right now there's not a lot of time on the
clock but if they can stop the offense right now and score again that's going to be huge for the
chargers soup up looking right second down in 10 he's got an open man caught at the 30
forced out of bounds by will whims anthony crowwell crawwell on that catch 5 960 pounds he's
really talented receiver and it it looks like you in these
Really picking up the place, pace here.
First down in 10, ball at the 32.
Sukup rolling right.
Moves up into the pocket, now runs left.
Still scrabbling and just throws it up.
Falls incomplete at the charger 41.
Almost tracked down there by Ryan Nixa.
That would have been a huge momentum swing for the Chargers.
Really nice job there on the back end by safety Will Wims.
to keep the backside covered because suckup moves really, really well in the pocket.
And if he's able to reverse field and get on the outside, we've seen it today.
He can scamper.
So now second down in 10.
Ball at their own 34.
Sukup in the gun.
Lewis to his right.
Motion from Crawwell to give to Lewis running left.
Ball's on the ground.
Ball's on the ground at the 45-yard line.
Looks like Toki was involved on that play.
But it's still U-Indie ball.
It would be huge for the Chargers to get a stop here and have the ball in the final two minutes and 50 seconds to try to get another score on the board.
Third down and nine.
Ball and thrown, 35.
Sukup in the gun.
Lewis to his right.
Four receivers in the game.
Two to the far side, two to the near side.
Sukup, looking left, now looking right.
Rolls right.
Throws across the middle.
Caught for a first down.
caught at the 46 yard line for the first down.
What an acrobatic catch there.
Giovanni Laurent it looked like to me, number 11.
Giovanni Laurent.
Really nice grab there, and that really kills some of the momentum that the crowd had on that last play.
So first down in 10, ball thrown 46, 21-14 left.
You Indy with it.
They're up 21 to 7 over the chargers.
Sucup in the gun.
Lewis, who is.
Right, four receivers in the game.
Two to the far side, two to the near side.
Delayed collapse here.
I think Sukup wanted to see what the
what the Charger
defensive formation was, but
two minutes left in the half.
You're listening to Charger football right here on Radio
Free Hillsdale 101.7.
We'll be back.

On February 10th, 1970,
near Fuok Long Vietnam,
specialist John Baca was setting up an ambush
with his unit. When one of the tripwires
detonated in the jungle ahead, a platoon
was sent to investigate. Soon they came under
intense enemy fire from concealed positions
along the trail. As they prepared to engage
the enemy, a fragmentation grenade was thrown
in the midst of the patrol. Baca said later
at that moment he thought of his mother. He called
her only the day before, telling her that he was
working in the post office, safe from action.
on the front lines. But with the lives of his friends hanging in the balance, Baca acted quickly.
With complete disregard for his own safety, Baca used his steel helmet and his own body to cover
the grenade and absorb the lethal fragments. His conspicuous gallantry at the risk of his own life
directly saved the lives of eight men. For the extraordinary courage and selflessness he displayed

I'm Ted Ferrens for my partner in the booth this evening is Ty Ruddy.
The Greyhounds of U-Indie lead the Chargers of Hillsdale, 21 to 7, 154 left in the first half.
Ball is at the charger 42.
U-Indie Drive and Sukup in the gun.
Cheryl to his right, three receivers in the game, two to the near side, one to the far side.
To give to Cheryl running left, he's to the 40, gets a block, dragged down at the 38-yard line.
Hunter Spearling on that tackle.
Nice job from him to drop back and prevent Cheryl from cutting up the middle.
Hunter Spurling, 6-3-300-pound junior out of Chicago.
So now that sets up second down in six.
Ball at their 38.
Sukup in the gun.
Cheryl to his right, three receivers in the game.
122 left.
Sukup, looking, looking, climbs the pocket.
He's got a wide open man.
It's Crowell at the 10.
Five hit out of bounds by Ryan Nixa at the one.
It's a touchdown saving tackle.
But a 30-plus yard pitch and catch for the Greyhounds.
It's going to set up first in goal.
The Charger won.
Crowell was wide open on that play.
So 1-12 left in the first half.
Chargers looking for a goal line stand.
First in goal at the one.
Sukup in the gun.
Cheryl to his left.
Three receivers in the game.
Two to the far side.
One to the near side.
Motion from Ethan Hand.
Now Crowell in motion.
He cuts it back.
Sukup looking towards Ethan Hand.
And it's dropped.
It was in Ethan's hands.
And he was in the end zone.
But he dropped.
It stops it. Now, some other stuff going on. It looked like Kobe Lewis was doing the worm at the end of the play.
I didn't see that. It's just chaotic right now. And now Lewis is going out.
A touchdown reception for him. No, he's going to go to the other side of the field. So second down and goal.
108 left first half. U.N.E, knocking on the door. Only a yard to go to make this 21 point game.
Sukup in pistol. Give to Cheryl, running left.
Touchdown Greyhounds.
Uindy, 27. Chargers.
7.
103 left in the first half.
And the momentum sparked by the canter.
Ruddy.
Touchdown has been deflated here.
Really nice job from Sukup.
He just seems to be a really good game manager,
really not forcing anything.
So Ian Byr, to kick the extra point, to make it 28 to 7, snaps good, kicks good.
U-Indie 28, Hillsdale College 7.
You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale right here on 101.7.

Welcome back to Radio Free Hillsdale on 101.7.
I'm Ted Ferring. You're my partner in the business.
this evening is Ty Ruddy. If you're just tuning in, University of Minneapolis drove down the field
to make it 28 to 7 over the Chargers of Hillsdale College. Colin Seymour to kick it off,
fielded by Shea Ruddy at the 15. He's got some space running left. He's to the 30, makes a cut
to his 40, to the 40 yard line. So great field position here for the Chargers. Trying to cut this
to a 14-point lead if possible. I think that last possession for the Chargers, you know,
Chargers has really
hopefully added some momentum for Cole
Cantor and company. We'll see what they do.
55 seconds left.
First and 10 for the Chargers at their own 40.
60 yards to go.
Three receivers in the game. Two to the nearest side.
One to the far side. Canter in the gun.
Riffle 2 is left. Canter looking right.
Now back to the left.
Throws it out to Riffle.
And Riffle is just going to be hit at the line.
Line of scrimmage. Maybe loses a play.
but it stays in bounds.
So the clock runs.
And you'll see the greyhounds playing off a little bit in the secondary back here.
Obviously not letting anything behind them with 30 seconds left in the half.
So cancer in the gun, Riffel 2 is right, three receivers in the game.
Second down in 10, ball thrown 40.
He's going to throw, he's got an open man.
Incomplete.
Greyhounds are playing zone.
Chargers are trying to find soft spots to throw in.
between them but Aaron passed there from cancer and the cancer-ruddy
connection was not connected there so third down in 10 22 seconds left in the
first half Chargers have a freshman kicker who's ranked 27th in the nation
for kicking so if they could get a field goal here any points would be great
Cantor in the gun, riffled to his left, three receivers in the game.
Cantor, Taz time, now scrambles to the left, throws across his body, caught at the 45 and shoved out of bounds by the greyhounds.
That's Joe Schmidt on the grab, 6-280-pound junior out of Muskegon, Wisconsin.
Fantastic job. They're making his number one priority, getting out of bounds.
They had an issue on the first play of this drive
that ran some chewed up some time there.
So 13 seconds left.
U-Indy 28.
Hillsdale College, 7.
First down in 10 at their own 45.
Cantor in the gun.
Tedler to his left.
Three receivers to the nearest side.
Joe Schmidt to the far side.
Cancer, looking near side.
Now he makes a cut, tries to throw, stumbles,
and just falls down and throws the ball into the dirt.
tripped over one of his offensive linemen in about the 48-yard line.
Unfortunate because he had space to maybe scamper up.
Get a first down.
So eight seconds left.
Eight seconds left in the first half.
What would you like to see here?
I mean, is this Hail Mary situation?
Would you try to get down to maybe the 30 and call a timeout?
Or is this the final timeout?
Yeah, no, I don't think this is Hail Mary's situation.
Look, it's half time.
You're going to have a whole other half of football to play.
That's not saying play it conservative.
You have eight seconds.
That's two or three plays.
So, Hail Mary, a Hail Mary eliminates your options.
I think you're throwing something to the sideline.
If you throw something in the middle of the field,
you call a timeout right away.
It's close enough for Braden Childs, the freshman kicker.
Trust him, get some points going into half.
Keep that momentum.
If not, maybe take a shot to the end zone.
So we have this chance.
a game-changing charger, and I think after the first half, I think that I probably selected the game-changing charger.
You were right.
So do we keep score?
Is it Ted 1?
Everyone else, zero?
Ted 1, Ty and Hannah's zero on the year.
Cancer in the gun.
Looks like he's going to try to throw it down.
Field rolling right.
He has some space.
Two seconds left.
One second, and that's the end of the first half.
So there's not what I thought they were going to do.
They spent some time rolling out there and ran eight seconds off the clock.
So U-Indy 28, Hillstill College 7.
We'll be back for the second half.
But first, an interview on the field with Hannah Conley.
I'm here with head coach, Coach Treffler.
Coach, we had a little bit of a rough game.
Talk to me a little bit about you, Indy,
was really making a lot of headway in their run game. How can our defense adjust to that in the
second half? Well, we've got to fit some things. You know, they're throwing it over the top of us, too,
a little bit, so we've got to get a pass rush going. You know, I got full confidence. These guys
make some adjustments, and we'll get it done here in the second half. And a huge game changer
in this half was clearly Cole Cantor and his completion to Shay ready to get some points on the board
in the second quarter. How can we fix that again?
Well, everybody just got to do their job.
So it's a...
And we got to protect.
We got to throw.
So, you know, that's what we're going to do.
All right.
Thanks, coach.
Good luck.
We'll be back for the start of the second half.
You're listening to 101.7.
Welcome back to Radio Free Hillsdale on 101.7.
I'm Ted Ferring.
You're my partner in the booth this evening is Ty Ruddy.
So at the half, the greyhounds of U-Indy lead, the Chargers of Hillsdale College, 28 to 7.
Some first-half statistics.
U-Indy, 12 first downs, Hillsdale 5, rushing yards.
115 rush yards for U-Indy.
Only 22 net rushing yards for the Chargers.
So that's nearly a hundred yard difference.
It's kind of funny because doing the research with this team,
you see a lot of passing yards from Sukup of you indie.
But the greyhounds run the ball quite a bit,
more than I was anticipating.
Yeah, it seems like their run game has been working for them quite well today.
And I talked about it before the game.
Hillsdale just hasn't been working as well.
We've seen some glimmers.
We've seen a couple outside lanes open up here and there,
but that's one thing that Hillsdale needs to nail down going into the second half.
Shreffler talked about it heading out of the first half.
And if you can't block for your back to be able to run,
you're going to go nowhere.
So first half, U-Indie, I think,'s been working with the whole playbook.
Hillsdale with a part of the playbook.
But good news for them, they're only down 20.
points. It's 28 to 7. A quick score cuts this to 14 points so it's not out of reach.
We're going to be underway here in a couple seconds. Braden Chowes to kick this one off.
Crowell back deep for the Greyhounds. The ball bounces at the five and it's going to land in the end zone.
Before we get started for the second half here, I think one advantage that Hillsdale has that I saw very briefly,
at the very, very end of the first half was coaching.
Coming into that interview, Coach Schreffler was very level-headed and very positive.
And he even said at the end of the interview, you know, we trust our guys.
And that's huge for a coach to say that, down 21 points.
So he's not freaking out, which I think really sets the tone for his team.
So Entrots the Greyhounds, led by Gavin Sukup, who had a very good first half, very smart.
So first play of the third quarter.
First down in 10, ball thrown 25.
It's a give to John Lewis running right.
He's to the 25 to the 30.
Knock down at the 36.
Excuse me, the 31-yard line.
Ball started at 25, so that's simple math.
That's a six-yard gain.
I'm not a math major, but bear with me.
So now 14, 35 left.
Third quarter, second down in three.
Ball at their own.
32.
Sukup and pistol.
John Lewis.
To his left.
Three receivers in the game.
Sukup, looking left.
Throws.
He's got an open man.
Caught at the 40.
Knocked down by Ryan Nixa.
The Hillsdale secondary, but not after.
A 30-yard gain for the Greyhounds.
What a great pitching catch there.
Four.
Indy.
So in the middle of that play there.
Marquez Gillum on that grab.
Yeah, on the play, it's like he flattened the route.
And he's just taking what Hillsdale gives to him.
So first down to 10, ball thrown 40,
Shook up in the gun, give to Lewis up the middle.
He's got some room.
First forward for a 10-yard gain.
And you were exactly right.
It's taking what Hillsdale gives you all night.
Suckup has been finding the pockets in Hillsdale's zone.
It's not anything fancy.
He's taking his time in the pocket,
and he's airing it out to open field.
Two plays, two first downs.
It's so measured from the Greyhounds.
There's no worry in their players.
So ball now at the 30.
First down in 10 at the Charger 30.
Pitch out to Cheryl.
Cheryl running right.
And he loses a yard.
Maybe he gets back to the line of scrimmage.
Some perimeter running here from U.N.E.
But if you're the Hillsdale defense, this is just a bad spot to be in.
because it feels like the playbook of the Greyhounds is just so open right now.
Everything seems to be working.
So second down at 11.
So Cheryl lost a yard on that last play.
Ball at the Charger, 31.
U.N.D. driving.
12.40 left.
Third quarter.
Suck up.
In the gun.
Cheryl, two is left.
Three receivers in the game.
Suck up looking left.
Goes through the progress.
He goes on the ground.
There's a fight between a charger and Sukup.
They're both laying at the 40-yard line.
That'd be a huge cover.
His battling for the ball was a charger linebacker in on that play.
That was Alex Lee, a redshirt freshman out of Newark, Michigan, 510, 190 pounds.
He was right place, right time, just couldn't take advantage.
So now it's third down in 20.
Ball at the charger, 40, Sukup in the gun.
U-Indie drive and Cheryl to his left, four receivers in the game.
Looking left, looking right, still surveying.
He's running out of real estate, just throws it out of bounds.
Intended for Kobe Lewis.
Over near Matt Soderdoll, but it's just going to bounce aimlessly.
So now fourth down in a mile.
And on Trots, the U-Indie punt team.
Ian Burr going to try to pin Hillsdale deep.
Back deep.
He's Van Inconvort for the Chargers.
11.51 left, third quarter.
It's a big momentum swing just to get the ball back without having U.N.E.
to tack on to this 21-point lead.
Snap is good.
Ian Burr kicks it, low kick, drives it, bounces at the 16,
and it's going to roll right along that 15-yard line.
So, Chargers, going to set up shot for the first drive.
of the third quarter in this second half.
We'll see what Cole Cantor, Zach Tetler,
Shea Ruddy can come up with here.
Really the only thing this offense has generated
was just an electric 60-yard touchdown pass to Ruddy.
Since then, pretty quiet.
But they have that potential,
just the execution in finding a coverage
that suits them that U-Indee is presenting.
Cancer in the gun.
Tetler, to his right, first down in 10.
at their own 15, 1144 left.
Third quarter to give to Tetler.
He's going to lean forward for two.
So you saw the U-Indie possession.
You have a redshirt freshman making a play.
Make some of these younger guys are going to have to start moving up.
I'm just looking down here at the Hillsdale sideline.
It just looks a little thinner than it did at the beginning of the game.
Colcantzer and the gun, Zach Teller to his left, two receivers far side, one to the near side.
Ruddy's one-on-one.
Canter looking that way.
Ruddy's got a step.
It falls incomplete.
Just a little too long.
Ruddy was all the way down to the opposite 40-yard line.
Cancer was standing at his own 10.
So now third down in nine.
So close to a game-changing play.
Just one step off.
U-Indie 28.
Hillsdale College, 7.
11, 12 left, 30.
quarter third down in nine at their own 16 cancer in the gun looks like hillsdale brought in another
wide receiver package too riffle to his right two receivers on either side to give to riffle running left
he has some room to the 20 burst forward but he's going to be two yards short of the first down
you can't go for it here in your own territory but maybe maybe you play aggressive
that's playing really aggressive yeah i think they're just going to punt it away here yeah it's
too early second half.
Hannah, what would you like to see from this defense to try to stop this U-Indie offense?
I mean, the biggest thing is they're going to have to not get beat deep and they're
going to have to stop the run up front.
Don't let them go to the outside.
I would say the biggest thing, though, especially all their big plays have been a D-B getting
beat deep in the back and then all of a sudden we got a U-N-D team on the one-yard line.
So we just got to figure that out and get rolling.
Yeah, it seems definitely down the middle of the field.
The U-N-D receiver core is not going past our safeties.
They're going in between the linebackers in the safeties in that sweet spot.
But I don't know.
Your de-coordinator, Ty, what are you calling up here?
Maybe some blitzes.
I don't know.
Try to get to the quarterback maybe.
Yeah, actually, on that last drive,
it looked like Hillsdale was trying to work with some blitzes.
Alex Lee was out on the last drive, but the Greyhound running back did a really nice job of picking him up.
Susuk up in the gun, Lewis behind him.
Three receivers in the game.
Motion from Crawwell to give to Lewis, and Lewis has stopped in the backfield.
Two chargers in on that play.
A nice, just nice penetration.
The defensive line's been getting into the backfield.
Carson Ingraham, Jr., 6'2.25 pounder out of shirt.
Shelby, Ohio. Nice play from him.
Ten minutes left. Third quarter.
Sukup, in the gun.
Ball at their own 27th.
Second down in 13.
Four receivers in the game.
Sukup looking left.
throws out to Crawwell.
Crawwell makes a move.
Chop down at the 36-yard line.
Nice tackle there by Gavin Shenedy.
Sophomore.
Six foot 190 pounds.
At a Ticumse, Michigan on the play.
It's a gain of six.
So third and four. Chargers need a stop here.
Trying to get the crowd into it.
The student sections, the majority of them have stayed here, trying to make an impact.
Get loud, try to get this lead cut.
Shuck up throws.
Oh, incomplete.
He was looking left.
John Lewis vacates the backfield.
Ted Ferringer, there's your blitz.
Jacob Vance came right through the sea gap and gotten suck-up's way there.
Sucoop had John Lewis.
If John Lewis would have caught that,
Lewis would have probably scored six points.
Yeah, yeah.
We're listening to the marching band play if he catches that.
That's a lot of green grass in front of him.
But I think that's a nice job by Vance to get in his face,
and it looked like Gavin Chenevee, too.
So Ian Byr to punt this one away.
Van Incanvort to receive, standing at his own 32.
Fourth down in four.
For you, Indy.
It looks like Chargers brought some pressure.
Fair caught by Van Inconvort.
He already bobbles it, but he holds on.
The Charger defense is keeping Hillsdale in this game.
Yeah, yes.
Two stops to start out the second half.
And it's always really tough as a defense.
It's been a defensive positive game for the Hillsdale Chargers,
even though it's 7 to 28.
The reason I say that is it's very hard to work as a defense if you're on the field for the majority of the game.
Hillsdale Chargers coming out in that Bobcat formation that we talked about earlier,
Shay Ruddy in the backfield.
So Shea Reddy is quarterback.
Give to Van Inkenvor.
Bulls on the ground.
I think Van Inkenvort got over it.
I think we re-recovered.
So Chargers re-recovered their own mistake, but not a good mesh there from Ruddy and Van Inkenvort.
Cole Cancer comes back on on the field.
No kidding.
50 left.
Third quarter.
Greyhounds, 28.
Chargers 7.
Second down in 14.
They're at their own 29.
Chargers looking to get into Greyhound territory.
Canter in the gun.
Riffel to his right, three receivers in the game.
Two to the near side.
One to the far side.
Motion from Van Inkenvort.
Cancer looking right, throws it out to Riffle in the flat,
and he's going to lose a couple.
Well, he gets back to the line of scrimmage,
forced out there by the secondary of...
University of Indianapolis.
Nice play there by number eight,
Brian Eddings.
Senior, 5-10, 165 pounds at Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
Only five solo tackles two years ago,
but nice play from him.
So now third down in 13.
Balls at their own 30.
Cancer in the gun.
Riffle to his left.
It's a bunch formation.
on either side motion from from ruddy
cancer drops back to pass throws he's got an open no
incomplete there's the flag so I thought
that Luke Stanton had a step on
Brian Eddings there but I don't think he really did but
a flag did come out so maybe PI
defense number 12 the only penalty is
it's hot down head first down so the penalty
on Jalen Given.
The flag's going to move the chains, maybe spark some.
And if you're Hillsdale, it's not a gain based on anything you did, but you'll take it.
You'll take anything to get your offense down the field at this point.
Luke Stanton, a freshman there, drawing the foul, moves the chains.
First down in 10 at their own 45, cancer under center, two receivers in the game.
Motion from Ruddy from far side to near side to give up the middle to Riffle.
and Riffle's going to get
five to six yards.
And that's a beautiful play design that they're setting up.
They're sending Shea in the jet motion
and then giving it as a draw up the middle
to Riffle there.
Excuse me.
I think later we might see some jet motion from Shay
where he actually ends up with the ball.
Hopefully he can get something working down the sideline.
7.09 left, third quarter.
Second down and fourth, their own 49.
Cantor in the gun.
Riffel to his left.
Give to Riffel running right, makes a move, gets to the 50, runs over a man and leans forward to the 49.
What run support by Brian Eddings there?
He's only 510, 165 pounds, and he took down Riffle, who's 511, 215 pounds.
So really good run support here from this U-Indy secondary.
So now third down in three, 634 left, third quarter, came.
Cantor in the gun, riffled to his left, three receivers in the game.
Motion from Van Incan Vort.
Canter, looking right, throws, caught.
And I think that's going to be a first down, caught at the 42-yard line.
What a nice grab there.
Andrew Kineski on that catch.
6-4-245-pound, redshirt freshman.
Nice play from him.
the chains. Cancer in the gun.
Tetler to his left.
First down in 10 at the
Greyhound 42. Cancer
throws. Intercepted.
Intercepted
by you Indy.
Diving at his own
32 yard line
and that kills some offensive
momentum that the Chargers had.
That's Alvin Contreras out of Indiana.
who just scooped it up right in front of the Hillsdale receiver.
So now the freshman making a big play here.
Hillsdale's got to track them back down again, try to gain some more of that momentum.
The defense of the charges is back out on the field.
5.52 left, third quarter, suck up in the gun.
Give DeLewis running left.
Nice ankle tackle there.
By the Chargers.
Neil Likens on that tackle, sophomore.
Out of Columbus, Indiana.
529 left, third quarter.
U-N.E 28.
Hillsdale College, 7.
Second down in 7.
Their own 35.
Suck up in the gun.
John Lewis, who's right.
Throws.
Incomplete, looking for Crowell.
Falls in complete at the 40.
A little down and out, testing that outside corner for the Chargers.
Haven't seen much of that suckup today.
He's been pretty accurate.
Really hard to throw across the field like that.
It's easier to go straight down.
I think that's right.
Third down and seven.
Ball thrown 35.
Suck up in the gun.
Lewis to his right.
Four receivers in the game.
Three to the far side.
One to the near side.
It's one V1 down here with Shep.
Kennedy to give DeLuess running left. Nice tackle there. That's Vance, who came in on the blitz.
Jacob Vance held his guy and roped him in with one arm to force the fourth down here in a Greyhound punt.
And that's why he was linebacker the year in 2023. Hopefully the beginning of another productive year for Vance.
So Ian Byr to punt this one away, Van Inkenvort standing at his own 32, 444.
left third quarter.
Inver punt it.
It's a decent punt.
Bounces at the 38.
Trickles down to the 25-yard line.
So here we go.
One thing the Chargers have not had going for them on the offensive side has been
field position.
They've been starting inside their own 25, I feel like, every time they try it on out
there.
We'll see if.
the crowd can get into it a little bit. Still a lot of students here. So I'm looking out on this
beautiful sunset. It's a good turnout for a night game here in Hillsdale. So first down in 10 at
their own 25, canter in the gun. Riffel, Tettler to his right, three receivers running routes,
throws. Oh, was that caught by Ty Williams? What a catch. It is a catch. Such an athletic
play there. My goodness.
It's a 6'5, man, with a toe tap to move the chains.
So first down for the Chargers.
Ball at their 44 now.
402 left, third quarter.
U-N.E 28, Hillsdale 7.
Cancer in the gun, give to Tattler, running left, makes a move.
Strung out of bounds.
Cole Veal with the hit.
The containment of the U-Indy defense has been spectacular tonight.
Haven't these linebackers just been flying around all night?
They've been all over the place.
Cole Field, 6'223-pound senior.
Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
Cantor's in the gun.
Tetler, 2 is right.
Two receivers in the game.
Second down in 12 at the charger, 42.
Motion from Ruddy.
Canter throwing long has a man open incomplete intended for
intended for Connor Pratt
I hear some yelling from the student section I wonder where that's about
no telling one thing I'm wondering on the offensive side of the ball here
is I wonder if the inaccuracy has anything to do with lack of chemistry
as we mentioned earlier there was a three-way battle Cantor is the only one who wasn't on the team
last year. I'm just wondering if maybe they haven't had enough time together with the receivers.
So Jonathan Metzger checks into the game. Productive freshman last year. Cancer in the gun.
It's third down in 12. Pumps. Pump fake. And he's going to be sacked. Nice tackle there from
Aaron Barnett. Six foot 245 pounds senior. Feedersburg, Indiana, 27 solo
solo tackles last year.
He'll add to his solo tackle count in 2024.
It's another punt for the Chargers,
245 left third quarter.
Ian Woodward, sophomore,
going to punt this one away,
standing at his own 27-yard line.
Punt, it's a good punt.
Spirreling down to the 28.
Indiana U, the U-Indie return man,
gets shoved out at the 15-yard line.
Yeah, Hillsdale just spending a lot of time on their own half of the field.
And Shreff talked about this.
You've got to capitalize where you can,
and you've got to improve where you've been having some real trouble.
And he was talking earlier about the seam routes over the top.
That's something they're going to have to figure out if they're going to get back into
this.
So first down in 10,
their own 12.
U-Indi's setting up shot for the eighth time this game.
It's a missed handoff.
Sukup's just going to dart outside.
Maybe a gain of one.
But miscommunication there between Lewis and suckup.
Sucup went to hand the ball off and there wasn't a running back there.
Probably not the best feeling to have in the world.
That'll give you a sinking feeling in the stomach, won't it?
153 left, third quarter,
Sukup in the gun.
Lewis, no, Cheryl to his left.
Three receivers in the game to give to Cheryl, running left,
running near his goal line, and he's going to lose a couple.
What a great tackle there.
Vince Francicone on the tackle.
Strung him out, didn't let him get cut the football up.
And now it's a lot.
third and 18. Chargers holding their own with this U-Indy offense, which last year
average 32 points a game. U-Indy 28, Hillsdale 7, 11 left, third quarter, third and 18, ball
at their own four.
Greyhound's trying to get out of trouble here. Sucup. It's just going to run it with
Sherrill. Oh, it might be a safety. It is a safety. I think Toki got him.
And that may be the momentum swing the Chargers needed.
Hunter Spurling on that safety.
28 to 9.
There's something funny about safeties,
but I think there's more momentum in a safety than a field goal,
even though it's worth less.
I think that's probably right.
I think that's probably right for whatever reason.
Maybe it's just because it's more rare.
Maybe that's what it is.
But the Chargers there, the Greyhound started on their own 12.
The Chargers backed him up all the way into the goal line, so that's a loss of at least 12 on that drive.
Chargers defense kind of showing that they can hold their own against this Greyhound offense.
And putting up the points to show.
So the defense gets on the board.
They're down by Chargers, down by 19.
U-ND 28, Hillsdale 9, 56 seconds left, third quarter.
If you guys, the crew here, if you had to pick a new changing charger in the first half that you thought impressed, who would you go with?
Well, pains me, but I think Shay Ruddy's made an impact on this game so far today.
I would say a couple of the defenders, Zach Toki, obviously with a huge safety there.
and yeah I think I think the Hillsdale run game still I'm sticking with that hey I'm I'm sticking with that I think the Hillsdale run game if if the Hillsdale run game improves we're looking at an entirely different ball game so 56 seconds left in the third quarter Seymour is going to kick this one away from his 20 20 yard line so maybe the charges will get goad field position for once you indie 20 20.
Hillsdale 9. Seymour to kick this one away. Ruddy back deep to receive at his own 25 takes a bounce, scooped up at the 23 running left.
Ruddy has some room and just going to cut up the field to the 33 yard line.
I think this is the best field position of the day so far.
I was just about to say that. I was going to say so yet again Hillsdale on their own half of the field, but this time at the 35, not the 15 to the 25.
So maybe we can look to work with something.
We've strung a couple drives together that have died out,
but hopefully now we can make something happen.
So first down in 10 at their own 34, cancer in the gun.
Riffle to his left, two receivers to the far side.
Motion from Kineski.
Hard count from cancer.
Give to Riffle and he's going to get two.
Play, I foresee play.
action being a huge factor down the stretch.
I think that's probably right as we're looking at some glimmers in the run game.
The passing game has honestly been the only thing that's worked so far.
So if you can run, run, run, run, fake run and air it out deep.
That's your chance to get back in this game.
So second down in eight, ball at their own 36, cancer in the gun.
Motion from Williams.
Tetler to his left.
And we have a flag on the field.
False start from the Chargers.
It's going to push him back five.
Make this a second and 13.
Counterproductive here with the flags.
So now it's second and 13.
Cancer in the gun.
Motion from Williams.
Bunch formation with Ruddy and Kineski.
Cancer drops back.
Sacked in the backfield.
His need to.
a weird angle there. Slow getting up,
but he is up. He's walking it off.
Awkward tackle there.
A Marion Evans on the tackle,
6-2-255
pound senior at a country club, Illinois.
Game-changing play.
Again, momentum,
and then U-Ni
comes out and kills it.
The defenses
have been playing phenomenal
the second half. Yeah, it's like the charges
just keep running into a brick wall, isn't it?
We can't really get anywhere.
So you're changing charger after one half of play was Shea Ruddy?
Yeah.
Hannah, do you have a changing charger after one half of play?
You can change it from your pregame selection.
I got to go with Jacob Vance is making some pretty big plays.
I mean, our offense has been a little slow today.
But the biggest thing I will say is our linebacker core is doing pretty good.
We had Zach Pardt and I have to live.
leave and Jacob Vance really, you know, stepped up and went, stepped up to the plate for that.
Now, my changing charger was Shea Ruddy, and I'm just going to have to stick with it.
Fair enough. Not Ryan Ruddy. Not going to switch on to Ryan Ruddy?
We need Ryan Ruddy in this game.
He needs to get the sideline going. He needs to get the fans going, doesn't they?
We need the crowd involved here.
We need Colin Davis. We need Colin Davis.
We get something started here on the sideline.
The much-beloved RA of 3FN, Colin Davis and Chee Ruddy.
Yeah, yeah.
So here we go.
Third down in 28, ball thrown 16.
Cancer in the gun, three receivers in the game, play action, rolling against the grain.
He's got a man open.
It's Jonathan Metzger down the field.
Caught for the first out by Jonathan Metzger.
Came back to the ball.
The ball was underthrown, and it moves the chains.
There we go.
Momentum, baby.
We did more than move the chains.
We're on the other side of the 8th, baby.
We're in Greyhound territory.
So Chargers get into Greyhound territory.
U-Indy 28, Chargers 9.
Hillsdale picking up the pace here.
Bunch formation on the far side.
Cancer and the gun.
Riffel to his right, looking, looking.
He's got a man open downfield.
This Metsker.
Caught.
Down to the 20.
Two throws, two grabs by Jonathan Metzger, and he moves the chains.
5-10, 180-pound sophomore out of Ashland, Ohio.
He actually was a four-time state qualifier in wrestling.
Fun fact.
There you go.
There you go.
So Hillsdale picking up the pace here.
Fresh down in 10.
Keep this momentum going.
Cancer under center.
They're inside the Greyhound Red Zone.
To give to Tetler, up the middle.
He has some room.
Makes a cut.
Gets down to the 14 yard line.
So you're down by 19.
So it's a three possession game.
So three points.
It wouldn't be a loss here either.
Just not a turnover.
Yeah, we saw that on another drive that we had, we were driving,
and we ended up on defense on a second down.
So I think you're right.
The number one goal here is do not turn the ball over.
So second down and four, ball at the gray high.
Count 14. Cancer in the gun. Motion from Ruddy. Tetler in the back field. Let's give to Ruddy's running left. Makes a cut. Bulldozes down to the eight and moves the chains. It's first in goal chargers.
So we've seen that formation multiple and multiple times tonight. In the past, they've been faking the handoff to Shea and giving it to Tetler up the middle. That time, as I predicted, they gave it to Shea on the outside and he was able to pick up a few yards for the first down.
So Cancer in the gun, first down and goal.
46 left in the fourth quarter.
Tetler to his right.
Motion from Kineski.
Three receivers in the game.
Give to Tetler.
Teller's got some room.
Shimmie's his way down to the two.
The faster you score, the more time you have.
So time is of the essence.
Kyle Riffle checks back into the game,
the 215 pound running back to try to cut this.
lead.
I think Hillsdale just brought in what we used to call our wedge package.
So, Cancer under center, ball at the three, give to Riffle, Riffle up the middle.
Stuffed by that linebacker core of U.
Indy.
Cole Veal on the stop.
He's been everywhere.
Cole Veal of the Greyhounds has been phenomenal.
Maybe he's our game-changing greyhound.
So, Cantor, under center.
Riffle in the backfields, eye formation.
Riffel, running right.
Reaching for the goal line and he scores.
Touchdown Chargers.
The student section goes wild.
This is a brand new charger team.
I would say on this entire drive,
they haven't played like this since the entire beginning of this game.
So I would say this is a huge momentum change.
They're down,
they're going to be about down by 12.
That's going to be huge.
That's a, that's a, that's a, they're able to come back.
And I have to give a shout out to the Affalter brothers there.
The guard, the left guard in the center.
What great blocking on that play.
The seniors of that offensive line.
The kick is up and it's good.
Hillsdale 16, U-Indee, 28.
Chargers cut the lead to 12.
on two plays from Jonathan Metzger.

Welcome to the Grammar Minute, where we're saving the English language 60 seconds at a time.
I'm Lauren Smith back to answer another listener question.
Grammatically speaking, are you enamored with something or are you enamored of it?
It's possible to simply say you're enamored.
Example, she likes the new cafeteria menu, but I'm less enamored.
But if something is ennamoring you, which preposition do you use? Of or with? Turns out, both are probably correct. Enamored of appears to be the standard usage, but Enamored with is still perfectly acceptable. Though honestly, it does make the most sense. Try to avoid saying enamored by. Again, this isn't technically wrong, but the usage is rare enough to make some readers think it's wrong. That's your Grammar Minute. Visit Thegrammerminut.com for more tips and tricks.
Back to Frank Muddywater Stadium. I'm Ted Ferringer. My partner in the booth this evening is Ty Ruddy.
U-Indie leads Hillsdale College, 28 to 16. Kickoff here and great coverage by that Hillsdale Special Teams.
Crowell on the return. The kick from Braden Childs and an emphatic coverage.
there from Hillsdale.
Momentum is in the Hillsdale sales.
Yeah.
This is big.
Turnovers would be huge
to cut into this 12-point lead.
So on Trots, Sukup.
16th ranked
Greyhounds of D-2.
Sherrill in the backfield with them. Two receivers
in the game. It's play action.
Sukup. Looking long, he's
got a man. Levi's
open caught!
It's caught at the Charger 30.
What a play.
Kobe Lewis on that grab.
Oh, my goodness.
Completely switches, flips the field.
Kobe Lewis having a heck of a game, both with his hands and with his feet.
Able to make something happen there for the Greyhounds.
So now, you Indies at the Charger 30.
Cheryl in the backfield with Sukup.
It's shotgun.
The girl's running up the middle.
Surges for four, maybe three.
Wowsers.
The moment balanced a little by Sukup.
And what a beautiful play action that was.
Sukup in the gun.
Second down in eight.
Ball to Charger, 28.
Three receivers in the game.
Two to the far side, one to the near side.
To give to Cheryl up the gut.
He makes a move.
Leans for the first down.
Nice cut from him.
It's a simple dive up the middle.
12 point lead for the greyhounds.
28 to 16 over the chargers.
Force them to a fuel goal and you're only down by two possessions.
A touchdown from U.N.D makes this a three possession game with 9.51 left.
Fourth quarter, Sukup, in the gun.
Sherald to his right, four receivers in the game.
to give the Cheryl running left and he's going to get about one.
Yeah, I think it's, go ahead.
No, you got it.
I think as time goes under 10 minutes here, I think you're exactly right.
We need, the Chargers need a field goal and no more here from the Greyhounds.
If we're looking at another seven points on the board, that's at least three more possessions in under 10 minutes.
That's almost not realistic.
So second down to 10. Ball to Charger 9 team. Sukup in the gun. Four receivers in the game.
Throws caught by Crawwell.
Genovi. What great defense from him. Tracking him across the field.
Crawwell. Notorious for his speed.
But Chenevi does a nice job there. Track him down.
So now it's third down and seven.
Ball to Charger 16. U.N.i trying to drive here.
extend their add-on to their 12-point lead.
Sukup, in the gun.
Cheryl to his left.
Four receivers in the game.
Motion from hand.
8.30 left in this ball game.
Motion from Crawwell from left to right.
Now back to the left goes Crawwell.
Give to Cheryl up the middle.
He's got a lot of room.
10-5. Touchdown.
You, Indie.
And the lead goes from 12 points to
16 points in the blink of an eye.
819 left.
Fourth quarter.
The offensive line took over on that drive.
Hillsdale defense has been doing such a good job throughout this second half.
That's the first points of the second half for you, Indy, and it comes with eight minutes and 19 seconds left in the game.
The extra point is up and it's good.
You, Indy 35, Hillsdale College, 16, you're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale, right here on 101.7.
Welcome to the old ball game, where we talk about the past of America's favorite pastime.
His batting average was suffering and the local press was taunting him relentlessly.
Noticing this, his manager, former major leaguer Joe Engel, traded Jones to the Charlotte Hornets for a live 25-pound turkey,
who, as Engel said, was having a better year.
Engel ended up cooking the turkey for a Southern Baseball Writers Association dinner.
But the meat was reportedly tough and dry.
Unfortunately, it was not a winner-winner turkey dinner for,
angle in the lookouts. This has been the old ballgame on Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM.

are back to pass.
He's got Vanekinvort out wide and Vanekinvort just drops it.
813 left in the ball game.
U-ND 35, Hillsdale, 16.
Second down in 10.
Incompletions are fine.
It doesn't run the clock, so we'll see if they can take advantage of some extra time here.
I think especially when you're looking at something like that,
where you're gaining zero yards.
He'll take the incompletion.
Cancer and the gun.
Riffel to his left, three receivers in the game.
Second down in 10.
Throws, caught.
Short grab there.
Ryan Scuro with the grab.
The Hillsdale's picking up the pace.
Third down in five.
Ball at their own 30.
Some substitutions here, and it's going to be a timeout from U.N.D.
Indy, that's the first of the half.
So first of the half for you, Indy, on this timeout.
Chargers are down.
Well, I can't do math.
What's 35 minus 16?
Help me out, Ty.
Looks like 19 to me.
19.
So three possessions.
In other news, Nebraska leads Colorado 14-0.
There we go.
I'm on the Dillon-Raiola hype train.
I'm from the state.
He's right.
Motion from Van Incan Vore.
receivers in the game. Thoreau's out to Kineski. Incomplete is it down and out. Ball falls
incomplete. Kineski was there. It's a little bit behind him. But a little behind and now it's fourth in
five. What do you do? Well, you have to go for it. Oh yeah. Yeah, I mean, $750.50 left in the game.
You're down by 19. You don't have much of a choice. You're going for it.
Can't turn the gun. Riffel 2 is left. Three receivers in the
game one v1 here with ruddy at the the near side motion from kineski fourth down and five at their own 30
canter drops back to pass looking ruddy's direction incomplete but a PI that's going to move the
chains my impact player is making an impact drawing those penalties draw those penalties
moves the chains the super sophomores shave ruddy Jonathan metzger when he's gotten on the field
He's made an impact.
So first down, Chargers, hopes are still alive here.
745 left in the ball game.
U-Indie 35, Hillsdale 16.
First down in 10.
Ball at the 39.
Cancer in the gun, bunch formation to the top of the screen.
He's looking that direction.
Now rolls right, throws incomplete.
Intended for Kineski, falls at his feet.
740 left second down in 10 ball at the 40 the charger 40 60 yards to go to cut this lead to 12 field goal would work too he's cut it to two possessions three receivers in the game now canter in the gun teller to his left canter back to pass steps up in the pocket he's got an open man he throws down field caught first first
down chargers caught at the 47 yard line but now there's a flag flag late late flag here
that was Connor Pratt with the 12 year game we'll see if it stands Connor Pratt
out of van Wirt Ohio 6-285 pound junior only one reception last year and he has his second
reception the 2024 season 729 left fourth quarter incompletions held
catch after the catch in the run on the offense is a 10-year penalty on number one
remained second down who's number one I don't know that yeah
shee ruddy with a block in the back but again but the clock has stopped
though.
So,
clock's not running.
UND 35,
Hillsdale's 16,
19 point lead to cut into here.
We're taking some time.
The refs
are having a little
referee conference
and now they jog out of it.
So still a little game here.
Interesting.
Usually you get the fresh
chains first down
and then you just move them back.
That's what I thought.
Whatever.
I was told to never complain about referees.
No.
You say yes, sir, no, sir.
Do not.
What can you do?
You can't change it.
You cannot change it.
Jonathan Metzger's in the game.
1v1 here down at the near side.
Cancer in the gun.
Second down in 7 after 43.
Throws 1V1 outside.
Incomplete, great defense there.
By Jalen Gevin on that play.
6 foot, 185 pound,
you're out of Plainfield, Illinois, transfer from Michigan Tech, where Hillsdale will be heading next week.
Do I feel like Hillsdale went there last year?
They did.
They did.
I was wondering about that as well.
I guess it's a contract.
They're supposed to play there twice in a row.
Cancer in the gun.
Riffel 2 is right.
Third down in seven.
At their own 43, motion from Roddy, Cantor looking left.
Rolls out of the pressure and then is sacked in the backfield.
Brandon Smith with a huge hit.
And the greyhounds are going to force the chargers to punt with 643 left.
Fourth quarter.
Great play from him.
Six foot 280 pound junior out of Cincinnati.
So Anthony Crowell to receive four Indy U.
U-Indie, excuse me.
Freshman, conference freshman of the year last year.
Low snap, bounces at the 30, and trickles down to the 29.
On comes, charge your defense.
I haven't heard much of the Hillsdale College big band tonight.
I mean, I know they're not the best darn band in the land,
but I want to hear some Sweet Caroline or something.
Get this crowd involved.
Yeah, sweet.
Caroline would be good.
Oh, here they go.
I'm cute.
They heard me.
Someone's listening to our broadcast.
Hannah, is there a song you would like the band to play here in the last six minutes?
Sweet Caroline's pretty good, but I don't know if it's the best.
Okay, we'll get that answer after this play.
She wants them to play the sound of silence.
Simple dive up the middle.
All right, guys, I'm making my post-game questions.
I was going to really pay attention.
I don't want to bother.
Yep, sound of silence seems to be.
Well, there's a timeout on the field.
Injured Charger.
Simple dive play on that last play with Sukup,
but he's been such a good game manager.
At a Seward, Nebraska, 16 County,
the great state of Nebraska.
It's the good life out there.
The great state.
I hear it's flat.
I hear it's flat in Nebraska.
Yeah, it's flat.
But, hey, we feed the world.
Yeah, that's true.
There are more head of cattle in Nebraska than people.
That is a stat right there.
I know.
That is a stat.
You know, I don't doubt it, though.
I've been to Nebraska a couple times.
Oh, whereabouts?
Wherever you go when you're driving through Nebraska to get to Colorado.
I-80, Interstate 80.
I've been to I-80 before.
There's a lot of farmland on the side of those highways.
Very scenic.
Very, very scenic.
Yeah, Michigan.
I mean, I'm a sophomore now at Hillsdale.
But, yeah, it's very wooded up here.
A lot of trees, not used to that.
Less wind as well.
Which is nice.
I guess I didn't think about that.
You would get a lot of wind, wouldn't you?
A lot of wind.
It's always windy.
Always windy.
That's why.
We had a soccer complex.
We always played out for high school and club.
He was called Wilderness, and there were no trees.
And it was probably 30-mile-hour winds every time you step foot into place.
crazy.
So we're back in action here.
5.54 left, fourth quarter.
Sukup in the gun.
Cheryl to his right.
Motion from Cromwell.
Sukup to pass.
He's got a wide open man downfield if he doesn't overthrow him, which he does.
Would have been a touchdown for U-ND to add on to this 19-point lead, but it falls
incomplete.
My goodness, Alonzo Derek had a step there.
That could have been interesting.
You mentioned soccer a second ago.
I heard the Hills of College Club soccer team had a game today.
They did.
Did they win?
They did win.
They sure did win.
2-0.
Were you there?
I wasn't now.
You would have seen me play.
Suck up in the gun.
Give to Cheryl running left and he's tripped up in the backfield.
Nice play there from Jacob Vance.
Nice play from him.
So 539 left in the game.
Chargers down by 19.
It's going to be fourth down for you, Indy.
But yes, club soccer did have a game.
Club football.
Club football, no.
No, club soccer.
The men won 2-0.
Two goals by Frank Ferringer.
That name sounds familiar.
Yeah, I know.
It's my brother.
Very nice.
Yep.
It was a good game.
It was a hard-fought game.
a lot of chippiness, a lot of yelling.
But, hey, club soccer team's 2-0.
Very nice.
Come out and support.
We play up at Hayden Park.
You'll see me.
I don't score goals, but I'm on the field.
I guess it's simple enough.
I was going to say, I heard two goals from Frank Ferringer.
Where was Ted Ferringer?
Ted Ferringer doesn't score very many goals.
Does he play defense?
Kind of.
You could say that.
Ted Ferringer is a game manager.
How about that?
I'm a game manager.
You're the suck up.
There you go.
Of soccer.
There you go.
But yeah, center defensive midfield.
I'll just blame it on the position.
But I've never been a goal score.
Okay.
I've had that conversation before.
He's like, is goal scoring just genetic?
Do you have it or do you don't or can you develop it?
You know?
I don't know.
What's the answer?
I think you have it or you don't have it.
Survival of the fittest.
I guess so.
Ian Berta punt this one away.
Van Aikenvort standing at his own 35 and it's going to take a Hillsdale bounce.
And then it takes a U-Indy bounce.
Down to the 29.
Cold Canter coming out.
Let's try to cut into the 19-point lead.
Get some plays here late in the second half to just set yourself up for some momentum.
Look downfield here.
5.26 left.
Fourth quarter.
Cancer in the gun,
Riffel to his left.
Three receivers to the near side.
Motion from Van Inkenbort.
Now he moves to Farside,
to the far side.
Cancer, looking his direction,
feels pressure,
runs out of the pocket,
scurries out of bounds.
The 26.
Aaron Barnett in pursuit there.
I think Hillsdale needs that
mesh play from Madden right about now.
No, you.
cross it and then throw it up the seam.
It always works.
Five minutes left in the ball games.
First down in 10.
Well, no, it's not.
The scoreboard's wrong.
It's second down in 12.
But now there's a stoppage.
Another conference among the referees.
They're going to talk this one over.
See what the issue is.
You Indies up.
35, 16 over the Chargers.
Conference over.
Cancer in the gun.
Riffel 2 is right.
Three receivers in the game.
Two to the far side.
One to the nearest side.
Second down in 12.
Ball thrown, 27.
Cancer, back to pass.
Looking right.
Throws.
Caught.
First down by Shea Ruddy.
He dives down to the 44-yard line.
No, Ted, I got to give it to you.
I would say that Shea has definitely been our game-changing charger today.
Well, it looks like after week one, Ted won
Tie Zero, Hannah-Zero.
Kanser back to pass, throws out to Kineski.
Nice move for him, gets out of bounds, first down chargers.
Although, if you want to do per catch, Jonathan Metzger.
Two catches for like 40 yards.
Yeah, he's had a crazy average tonight.
Cancer in the gun, Riffle 2 is right.
Ruddy down here 1 v1
1. 1. First down in 10 at the
Greyhound 45. Cancer looking
Ruddy's direction throws it up. Rundi's got a step.
Boom!
Down to the 12.
What a catch by
Shay Ruddy. I'm standing right here
maybe 10 feet away from him.
What a beautiful catch. He caught that off
his left shoulder, fabulous.
Agrobatic grab
from the third floor north
RA.
Fantastic.
Cancer in the gun.
Riffled to his left.
Three receivers to the far side.
He looks that direction.
Throws.
Deflected.
Oh, in and out of the hands of Van Inkinvort.
It did take a deflection.
I don't think he was throwing towards Van Inkenvort.
I think you're right.
I think it might have been a slant to Shea right across the middle there.
It looked like it was deflected.
Van Inconvort wasn't expecting it.
It bounced off his face mask.
So that's one of those things.
Wowzers.
Bounces the wrong ways sometimes.
But second and 10.
Second down in 10.
Ball at the Greyhound 12.
Chargers driving here.
Trying to get some cut into this 19-point league.
Get some points here.
Three receivers in the game.
Tettler to the left of Cantor.
Motion from Schmidt.
Cantor looking left.
Now right.
Throws.
Late throw incomplete.
Metzger was open.
Initially,
Cantor was just late on the throw.
Those late fades in short territory will make you hold your breath won't they?
Because that ball's in the air for a long time.
Just gives defenders more time to run to it.
That's one of those balls.
You drop back and you throw it before the receiver looks.
You hope he turns around to catch it over the shoulder.
So now third down in 10.
Ball at the Greyhound 12.
Cancer in the gun.
Tetler to his left.
Bunch formation in the top.
throws to nobody
incomplete miscommunication
somebody
miscommunicated with
somebody
because there was no
charger within the vicinity
of that throw from cancer
I don't know if you kick here
maybe make it a two possession game
it is fourth and ten there is three minutes
and 39 seconds left but
I don't know
what's her call
I think I'd kick it here
But it looks like chargers are going to go for it.
So Cantor in the gun.
Riffel 2 is right.
Three receivers in the game.
Four, actually.
Bunch formation in the top of the screen.
Cancer looking left, one v. 1 to fade.
Intercepted at the goal line.
The Greyhound makes a cut.
Drops the ball.
There's a football.
I think it's, She had it in his hands.
Defender and the player who intercepted the ball.
the interceptor was trying to push his own player back into the charger defender and the ball fell out of his hands
306 left in the ball game first down in 10 at their own 17 just to give up the middle to lewis
suke up just managing this game there'll be second down in seven you indy 35 hill
Bill's Dill 16, 247 left in counting.
At this point of the game, U-Indi's going to come out with the win.
You just don't want any stupid injuries on either team.
I think that's right.
For both sides, it's just play smart and have both teams leave healthy.
Shotgun, Sukup in the gun, Lewis behind him, two receivers in the game.
Toki motions to the U-Indio line that there was a false start.
So we'll see what the verdict is.
Reminder that there are fireworks after tonight's game.
Offside, defense, 97 and 99, reaching a neutral zone,
causing the center to move.
Five-hurt penalty.
Check it out.
So it looks like Toki and, is that, Van Beek thought the greyhounds had moved,
so they moved, and apparently a greyhound didn't move.
So the penalty falls.
on the Chargers.
Time-out Hillsdale.
That's the second of the half.
So that's the second Hillsdale
timeout of the half,
and I think we're going to take a time-out with them.

reforms in our school. Like what, Connie? Like taking the gum machine out of the cafeteria.
What will you hear? A cup of coffee. Thank you, thank you, or shmanky. That was when radio was.

my partner in the booth this evening is tie ready.
If you're just tuning in, UND leads Hillsdale College, 35 to 16.
So two-minute timeout on the field.
And we're down the field to Hannah Conley.
She's director Jim Tharp.
Thanks, guys.
Yeah, I'm here with athletic director.
So there were a couple of times this game that the Chargers actually got to build up momentum.
They scored whatever.
It was that they were doing a field
fantastic pass, but it seemed like
the Greyhounds would just come back and
put that momentum down as quickly as they possibly
could. How do you think that impacted
the overall outcome of today's game?
At the 12, and they
came and hit that long pass. I thought
we played pretty well in the second half, to be honest with you.
We scored the touchdown,
and they, yeah,
I thought we played better than the second half that we did
in the first half. I would agree.
It seems that it's struggling a little bit to give canter enough.
What kind of changes do you think the offense can be?
Coach staff will get back to work.
And the character of this team, I know a lot of these guys, just like you,
I know these guys are high character guys, and they'll make the right adjustments.
I think Indies are really good team, a veteran team.
They have speed, their size.
I thought they played really, really well today.
And, you know, we had some opportunities that, you know,
they put the ball on the ground a couple times.
We didn't want any of those.
And so the film doesn't lie.
And, you know, we'll make the adjustments.
And, you know, hope we get better from week one to week two.
Thanks, coach.
All right, back to you, Ted and Ty to finish the last two minutes of this game.
So 154 left in the ball game.
Now, as Ty told me, I misnamed our athletic director.
It's John Tharp, not Jim Tharp.
I apologize.
I think he forgives you.
So 154 left in this ballgame.
Second down and 10 at their own 31.
Greyhounds driving.
Sucke up in the gun.
Lewis behind him.
Two receivers to the far side.
To give to Lewis running left.
He's got some room.
He's to the 40.
50.
40, 35, 30, 20, 15, 10, 5.
Touchdown.
No one's going to catch him.
You, Indy extends the lead to 41 to 16.
70-yard touchdown run from John Lewis.
His first team all-conference last year rushed for nearly a thousand yards.
Average 85.5 yards a game.
Well, he picked up a lot of yards there.
So that's going to extend the lead to 26.
Well, 25 right now.
We'll see if the extra point makes it 26.
Snap, good, hold is good, kick is up, and it's good by Ian Burr.
U-Indie 41 Hillsdale College 16.

Welcome to the Astro Minute, where we're exploring the universe 60 seconds at a time.
I'm Lauren Smith, and today we're looking for a big black hole.
Our Milky Way galaxy, one of around 200 billion galaxies in the universe,
contains some 100 billion stars as well as planets, gas and dust.
At its center, conducting this vast symphony, is a supermassive black hole.
Earth is distant enough to be safe from the black hole's dangerous effects, but perfectly
positioned to see it.
Of course, you can't really see a black hole.
Not even light can escape its powerful pull.
But the plentiful objects it gathers around itself are hard to miss.
Look low in the southeast for a group of stars shaped like a teapot, part of the constellation
Sagittarius.
The center of our galaxy is just above the teapot's spout.
Scan the region with binoculars to see many stars and beautiful nebulae.
Look soon, Sagittarius will spend the winter below the horizon.
That's your Astro Minute.
Welcome back to Fittleywater City.
I'm to my partner in the booth this evening is Thai ruddy.
U-Indie leads Hillsdale College 42 to 16.
143 left in the ball game.
U-Indie's going to improve to
one in the season
Shee Ruddy on the kickoff return has some room
he's to the 3540
4550 drag down
to Greyhound 40
Face Masked on to that
Kickoff from Seymour
Ruddy fielded it at the goal line
and runs it to the Greyhound 40
Still looking for opportunities
Shay Reddy is, despite the score,
the kid just doesn't quit.
I'm a proud brother.
I'm a proud brother.
So it's going to add 15 more yards, and the best field for the best field position on the game.
They start their time.
drive on the Greyhound
24. They have 24 yards
to go for six points.
132 left. Cantor
in the gun. Tettler to his left.
Four receivers in the game. Two to the
far side, two to the near side.
Canter back to pass, climbs the pocket.
His pressure from behind. Get out of
bounds. And he does.
Heavy pursuit there
from Clay Schulte.
Kind of running into
a coach on the sideline.
But everyone's okay.
One yard gain.
Ran a mile for a yard.
Scrambling must be exhausting for a quarterback.
Yeah, I would imagine if you can stay in the pocket, you'd rather do that.
But I'll scramble when you can, I guess.
Second down to nine.
Ball at the Greyhound, 23, cancer in the gun.
Teller 2 is right.
Three receivers in the game.
Cancer looking right.
Taylor's out.
Why does it check down?
But cancer's going for it all for Metskear.
And double coverage intercepted.
by you indie
what an athletic
play
by that
you indie
secondary
one foot down
in the back
the end zone
he crowwell
with that
crowwell
with that intersection
Medsker was
double covered
and he still
step
just a little
underthrown
contested
contested
but another
turnover
past the tail
the night
right there
Starting on your own
20 and ending in a turnover.
Just momentum after momentum
after momentum kill after momentum kill.
So victory formation
for the grounds.
Still 40.
Me, you Indie.
