The following is a special presentation of WRFH Sports. First and 10 at the 25 in Dragon Territory. Then two whiteouts to his left, two to his right. As I say it, a little of a crossing pattern on the right side, he was going right to the post and nobody was anywhere near him. That's a touchdown and this is a tie ball game now. Touchdown for the Hillsdale Charger. Are you ready?

Hillsdale Charger Football on Radio 3 Hillsdale 101.7 FM starts now. Welcome in to Frank Muddywater Stadium on the beautiful campus of Hillsdale College. Folks, we've got a great one for you today between the Chargers of Hillsdale and the Dragons of Tiffin University. It's the final home game installment of the 2024 Charger football features a playoff, spoiling role against 7 and 2 Tiffin. dragons. It's going to be a tall task for the Chargers today. The Dragons boast the GMAX best offense and defense. They lead the GMAQ in yards gained and yards conceded through nine weeks. On offense, watch out for quarterback Alex Johnson transfer from Division I, Washington. Last year,

they were runner-ups in all of FBS. He's completed 65% of his passes with over 2,300 yards to the air. and 23 touchdowns. Impact player for Tiffin. On that receiver core is Jalen Thomas. Primary target for Alex Johnson. He's got 58 catches, 849 yards and four touchdowns. Several other weapons in the passing game, but on the ground, Ronald Blackman,

191 yards rushing, 191 rushes rather, nearly 1,100 yards, 10 touchdowns. He's averaging 123 yards per game. So Evan, Nick, and this special teams is going to come out and kick this one away. Tiffin, it's back to receive to start out this ballgame. Beautiful weather for some football. And the kick is up and fielded at, no, not fielded at the two.

It's going to roll out for a touchback. So a nice start to the game for the charger. as we do every pregame. Ty, who's your changing charger this week? Ted, Mike Gaden, Chameh, still coaching staff. You mentioned the second ago

that the Tiff and Dragons both the best offense and the best defense in the G-MAC. You're going to have to vary it up on offense with some runs and pass. See if playoff. Both sides of the

Johnson's going to give to Blackman running right, and he's going to get a couple, tackled with the 29-yard line. So it looks like this week, Jacob Vance for the Chargers is now back in action after being out last week.

So it'll be a huge help for the Chargers leading tackler last year, has some really nice stats this year as well. So that'll definitely hopefully put a tamper on this Tiffin run game. So now second down in five. Ball to Tiffin, 29. Johnson in the gun, Blackman to his left. Four receivers in the game. Johnson looking right,

throws caught. Contested catch. Vince Franciscone nearly came up with interception. But he's going to bring down Diffin wide out the 33-yard line. So that brings up third down would be a huge stop for these chargers against this seven and two tiffin squad

play playoff spoiler to get a three and out on this first try in the gun two racerous two backs in the backfield with him he's going to run right and he stopped charger defense says no sir Tiffin's going to bring out the punting team. I actually don't think that was Alex Johnson. That was their backup quarterback. Keegan Ray comes into the game. A little quarterback power right, and he gets stopped short. So a great first possession. Stop by this Hillsdale defense. To punt him away is Joseph Weir's decent kick. Ruddy calls for a fair catch at the A late hit. So tack on 15 yards to that. I thought Shay bawled that for a minute. I did too. I thought it was going to end up on the ground, but ends up in positive yardage for the Chargers.

How does that work? Does he get yards added to all purpose? That's a good question. That's a good question. So so far, such a great start for these Chargers. So on comes Colin McCurnan to lead these chargers. Last week against Thomas Moore, very smart play, really didn't force anything and just took command of the game in that 3817 victory. So first down in 10, they're starting their possession in Tiffin territory. The Dragon 49, McCurton in the gun, Van Inkenvort to his left. Three receivers to the far side.

Motion from Ruddy. Devanagan Board up the middle and he gets to about the 46 yard line. So a three-yard gain on first and 10. 1237 left first quarter. Tiffin really good defense. Do you like a balance attack here? Last week I thought the air raid offense was actually working. But we'll see what the charges do here. McCurnan in the gun. Riffel to his right, four receivers in the game. It's give to Riffle running right. He has some room.

And he stopped short. Great tackle there. No, Ted, you make a good point. Last week, the air raid worked well. I mentioned it a little bit when I said that the coaching staff was going to be my game-changing charger. I think it's really about variability in today's game. Tiffin's got a good ground defense. So you want to get it in the air as much as you can.

but mix it up with some play action. So third down and six. Ball at the Dragon, 45. McCurnan in the gun, Riffel to his right, four receivers in the game. The Tiff and D line shifts over. 1141, and there's got some movement on that offensive line. The left side of that line moved.

73 on the offense. Carbher penalty, third down. Tyson Huff with a false start. That's going to make a third and down in six, a third down in 11. obvious pass play now the early downs when you run it makes McCurnan in the gun four receivers in the game three to the near side one to the near side McCurnan looking left moves up in the pocket and he sacked Chris Walton

on that sack and it's going to be a three and out for the Chargers Tiffin defensive line playing a big factor on that possession. Forcing a false start by the Chargers and then that sack. So so far, both offenses stopped by two dominant defenses. To punt this one away is Ian Woodyard. Standing at his own 36. More flags fly. Two flags in the last three plays.

And we've seen this all year from the Hillsdale. Offense mostly, just pretty sloppy play, sometimes pretty undisciplined, throwing away a couple games, in fact, because of it. So 10.31 left in the first quarter, Hillsdale Zero, Tiffin Zero. Ian Woodyard, standing at his own 31. Snaps good, kick is up, and it's partially blocked. It's going to be fielded at the Charger, 50. Running the other way, he's a dragon. and he gets shoved out of bounds at the 31 yard line. So Kenneth Byrd, the linebacker on that Tithin defense,

fields the partially blocked punt and then runs it back to the Charger 31. Unbelievable. So now Alex Johnson and company is going to set up shop at the Charger 31. This has to be the best field position of the year I've seen so far. My goodness. I would say so, yeah. Johnson, in the gun, gun, empty set, four receivers in the game, looks left, now right, throws, caught. Darding down to the 12 is Javier Willis.

A part of that, a part of some of those several weapons in the passing game for Tiffin. 5-11-185-pound sophomore out of Columbus, Ohio. 26 receptions, 378 yards and two touchdowns coming to that game. Well, you can add a 27th reception there. Nice pitching catch from the dragons. Johnson, in the gun. Blackman to his right. Three receivers in the game.

First down and goal. Ball at the Charger 8. Give to Blackman running left. Patiently waiting for some blocks, but he's going to get nothing. Nice job there on that left side. That Hillsdale defensive line. I really can't think of the games I've called. The other team really running up a lot of rush yards on this Charger defense.

I think you're right. I think the Hillsdale, especially interior defense aligned, kids like Toki up there and Hunter Spurling, have done a nice job all year of sort of making things muddled in the center. So second down and goal, ball at the charger eight. Johnson in the gun, Blackman to his right, Hillsdale zero, Tiffin zero. Johnson, looking left, now right, rolling out, steps up in the pocket, sacked in the backfield. Back to the 16-yard line. Drake Badger. Drake Badger on that sack. And it's going to bring up a third down and goal.

The Dragons have to go 16 yards to make this a seven-point game. But we're still knotted up at zero. 8-17 left, first quarter. Johnson, in the gun. Blackman, two is right. Four receivers in the game. Three to the far side. One to the near side.

This one looks like a personal, unsports like conduct of some kind, a little bit of jawed after the play. My goodness. We have to keep

track of these. This is four. Right now. We have two fall starts. Three fall starts. One on Tiffin. Personal foul. Kicking team number four is a 15-yard penalty at the end of the run. First down, he'll stay. Two late hits on special teams.

He's got some room. He's the 30-2-30. Knocked down at the 28-yard line. So tough running from Vanekinvort. It's going to set up a third down in about four. David Dorn. David Dorn. David Dorn is a redshirt sophomore out of Chicago, Illinois. attended Wheaton Academy. Same high school as Jude Barton. New kicker.

The new kicker. So third down and four. Ball at the Dragon 28. McCurton in the gun. Tetler to his left. Four receivers in the game on this third down. Throws, caught. First down.

Nice pitching catch there from McCurton to Schmidt. Good job hanging on to that. It was what some call a hospital ball by McCurnan, but it was about the only receiver open on that play. Nice job hanging on to the ball, getting the first down by Joe Schmidt there. And Schmidt gets knocked down at the Dragon 19, so the Chargers are in the Tiffin Red Zone.

We'll see if they can get seven points out of this one. First down in 10, ball at the Dragon 19, 514 left, first quarter. Tiffin 7, Hillsdale, nothing. Give Van de Van Dyckvore running right. He's got some room. barrels down near the 10-yard line. I think Hillsdale was really excited when they knew that they had the opportunity to put Van Inchevord at running back.

And I think that we've seen him kind of fall into that role a little bit more. We've seen a little bit more patience out of his running game, and it's certainly leading to some longer distance runs. I was going to say that last play. Freshman Tut Kerrico is in. I was going to call out maybe a mismatch on the outside. Second down and two, ball at the Dragon 11. McCurnan and pistol. Van Inkingvorpe behind him.

Motion from Metzger. Gave to Van Inkingvort running left. Makes a move. He's inside the five. O line pushing him all the way down to the two-yard line. So first down and goal for the Chargers. A lot of substitutions in the last three plays. Van Incanvort checks out.

Tetler checks in. Riffel had some runs. David Dorn. Tutt Carrico. Hilldale within striking distance here and you get four downs. So what's your call? Run, run, run, run. I like it.

Eye formation. First down and goal. Chargers have to go two yards to tie this ball game up. Running right, caught touchdown. McCurnin rolls out to his right and tie Williams with the touchdown. Chargers didn't take my advice. They went throw. They even faked me out.

I like the I formation to the boot and you just throw a little shoot route. It's a high percentage pass and especially when you got a big tight end there, you know that he can get something done for you. So Ian Woodyard to kick this one, extra point for the Chargers. Henrik still holds. Snap good. Hold good. Kick is up. It hits the right upright. So no good. and the kicking woes for the Hillsdale Chargers continue.

At early ball games, there were no official concession stands, but local people would sell food to fans who tended to eat things you would eat without utensils. And at the beginning of the 20th century, German immigrants began to help shape the culture,

and people began to love their dachshund sausages, which were served with a milk roll in sauerkraut. In the 1860s, Chris von der Ahee, a German immigrant and owner of the St. Louis Browns, introduced the hot dog to baseball fans. At first, they were served without buns, and instead, customers would keep the white gloves that the hot sausages were served on. However, the gloves were eventually not being returned, and this frustrated the company. Somewhere along the line the split bun was introduced, and it fit just like a glove. And now countless hot dogs are eaten every ballgame.

The right upright was hit, so Chargers are trailing Tiffin 7 to 6. And on that kickoff again, it seems like every special team's play, we're just having a penalty party at this point. I wonder if it's late in the season.

I wonder what it is about special teams specifically in this instance. So Tiffin, after own 11, Johnson in the gun, gives it to Blackman running right. He gets up to the 15-yard line. My goodness, Alex Johnson, 6'5, you can just kind of tell looking out there. He's a big guy. He hasn't really aired it out so far. One touchdown pass, but other than that, a beautiful throw by him. It's been a pretty balanced attack, but mostly on the ground so far.

Second down in six. Ball at their own, 15. Johnson looking right, throws caught. Hit down at the 31-yard line. Jalen Thomas on the grab and Tiffin moves the chains. Really nice patience there from Johnson. Inzowski, 6 foot 4, 230 pound receiver, sophomore out of Worthington, Ohio. His 22 receptions coming to this game and five touchdowns. Really nice grab from him. Tiffin moves the chains yet again. patiently running. And he gets knocked down after about a two-yard game. down to the 24 yard line. That's going to set up a second down in nine. Hunter Sperling was the other guy that checked in with Zach Toki. I could not think of his name. Number 97, Hunter Sperling. Johnson in pistol, Blackmun's who is right, four receivers in the game. Nine, ball charger 24, motion.

It's a fake pitch out. Nope. Trick play here for the Chargers. And the Chargers aren't fooled. Drake Badger said, no, sir. A little counter sweep, but they tried to run across opposite of where the motion was going, and Badger read it all the way. So now third down and 13.

While planets, meteors and aurora adorn this year's winter skies, more distant objects such as the Pleiades and Hyades returned with familiar dazzle to their winter posts. The Pleiades and Hyades are open star clusters,

groups of hundreds of stars born together and loosely bound by gravity. They've been admired since antiquity visible even to the unaided eye. To see them, look east toward the constellation Taurus. The Pleiades is an obvious fuzzy patch sprinkled with a handful of bright stars. Nearby Hyades is V-shaped and accented by bright red aldebaran, though that star is not actually part of the group. You'll see several stars in each cluster, and binoculars will reveal many more of their hundreds of members.

I do. So here, as we begin the second quarter, Hillsdale versus Tiffin. Finley leads Northwood, 13 to 10 in the third quarter. Walsh leads Ashland, 10 to 7 in the second. Ohio Dominican leads Lake Erie 7 to 0 in the first. Ohio State leads Purdue, 14, nothing. in the second. Navy trying to go, are they

undefeated still? No, Notre Dame beat them. Okay, they lost one. All right. Navy leads South Florida 14 to zero in the second and Texas dominant over Florida 21 to zero in the second quarter. Man, Florida football these days is...

Fell off, man. They fell off. Even though it's been like 15 years, but 15 years since the golden age. That's the worst thing for a football program. is when you win a national championship. And never make it back. And never may.

It adds, I think, so much more emotional damage to the losses. So a short kick by Rudolph, fielded by Metzger, at the 25. Are you a Michigan fan or Michigan State fan? Unfortunately, a Michigan State fan, although I might hit the transfer portal hill pretty soon. I don't know if I can deal with it. Just watching a bunch of three stars get destroyed by the five and four stars from Michigan. in Ohio State every year.

I think Michigan State needs Shea Reddy. I think so too. He could do some damages of Spartan. So first down in 10, Chargers at their own, 25 to start the third drive of the game for them. Tiffin 10, Hillsdale 6, 14, 13 left. Second quarter, McCurnan, back to pass. And he sacked all the way back.

At the 17-yard line. Chris Walton, that's his second sack of the day for him, making a big impact here early. So now second down in 16. Ball at the charger 19. McCurnan in the gun, Van Incanvort to his left. Ruddy and Pratt to the far side. McCurnan gives to Van Ineufort running right. He's to the 20, makes a move down to the 21.

I think that's the best open field tackle. seen all day. That was incredible. Both ankles too. Usually you trip them up with one ankle but that was flying in from the center of the field. You wrap him up and you take him out. Jacob Tooman on that tackle. Van Inconvort I was down on the field watching the game against Walsh.

A very quick guy. Yeah he's quick. He's a quick twitch. So McCurnin in the gun. Hollering to his left. Ruddian Pratt, excuse me, Schmidt to the far side. It's third down and 14. This is big. Just four yards short of that first down. And the charger punting unit's going to come on here. I have chemistry lab with Tutt Carrico. I have never seen a guy that gets with labs as fast as he does. He's an animal, dude. I'm telling you. They should have a play where they just say Tuts up there somewhere, you know. So Woodhier, to kick this one away, standing at his own 18, short kick to the right side of the field, bounces at the dragon 34 before rolling down to the 27.

I'm getting better about this counting thing now. There you go. It's a work in progress. But no, back to this chemistry lab thing with Tutt. I'm telling you. Frank and I, I have chemistry lab with my brother, which is, I don't know about it. Are you guys partners? Yeah, we just kind of yelled each other a lot.

But, you know, we'll be doing some lab. It's a two-hour period, and Tut will be done within the hour. It'll be gone. It's crazy. So 11 to 53 left. Second quarter, Tiven's going to start their fourth drive of the game at their own. 26. Johnson back to pass, looking right, throw.

Blackman to his left, three receivers in the game, two to the far side, one to the near side. Third down in 10, blitz from Vance. Johnson, running right, throws. Oh, nearly intercepted.

Johnson wildly overthrew Jalen Thomas And that was Trachett who got his left hand on it And nearly intercepted by the Charger free safety on that play That would have been yet another drive that started in Tiffin territory For the Chargers Yeah Tratchett nearly with that interception standing at midfield But just a little too high from that Johnson throw

So Tiffin takes a time out Tiffin leads Hillsdale 10 to 6 1136 left in this first half Who does Michigan State have today? That's a good question I should know that Maybe it's a buy

I'm gonna say it's a buy and I'm gonna hope that's right I'm curious about this chemistry like Shane and Ryan both have chemistry lab together too And I would imagine It's a bit of a hassle when you got a younger brother. It's actually not too bad. Okay.

I read off the instructions and Frank just does everything. I gotcha. That's the perks of having a younger brother, right? But is Shay in organic chemistry this last year? They're both in organic chemistry. Whoa. You're telling me Ryan Ruddy as a freshman is in organic chemistry. Ryan, he's the chosen one.

Now that's the most impressive thing. So how did he get to go orgo this year? But Shea had to do Gen Chem. Did they do some college credit thing? That's a four on the AP chemistry test for Ryan there. Wow. Clutch last quarter of his high school career. So Rudolph, to punt this one away, fielded it at Ruddy at the 31, makes one man miss,

and maybe loses about four yards on the play. And another flag flies on special teams. And it came all the way from back near where the line of scrimmage was. That was a heck of a throw. That's the longest throw we've seen all day. I didn't see you through it. I just saw it fly in. My goodness.

Maybe from about the 40-yard line to the other 40-yard line. That was a 30-yard flag throw there. The CD team number three, 10-yard penalty until the end of the run. First down, Hillsdale. So I thought maybe it would land on Tiffin since it came from all the way back there, but it is going to go against Tillsdale here. So picking up the ball at the 24-yard line. He's got some room trying to get to that first down. looks like he's going to be really near one. Had to get to the 30, the 34, and the refs are going to wave it on. So first down for the Chargers.

If Hillsdale could get some points here, it would be huge. Tiffin, 7 and 2. They have a really good shot of getting to the D2 playoffs this year. Chargers trying to playoff spoiler. for their final home game of the year. First down at 10, ball at their charger 34. McCurnan, in the gun. Riffle in the backfield with him.

Looking left. Oh, and he sacked in the backfield all the way down to the 20. I think McCurton held on to the ball way too long there. He had a little outrout with Riffle on the far side and neglected to throw it. And huge play there. Was that Chris Walton of Tiffin again? I think it was.

Yeah, number 11. That's three sacks for that D-end on the right side of that Tithin defensive line. He's been playing a heck of a game so far. So second down in 24. Ball to Charger, 20. Hillsdale with the ball. Motion from Kineski. 9.23 left.

In the first half, McCurton, with a quarterback run. And he gets about five. Five yards back from a huge Tiffin sack on the previous play. So mass substitutions here. Third down in 18. Nine minutes left in the second quarter. It's going to have to be a throw here. We've got Carrico, Ruddy, and Schmidt on the near side.

No receivers on the far side. Third down in 18. Here we go. McCurton in the gun, hollering to his left. McCurnan back to pass looking right has some decent protection rolls back out to the right throws intended for Kineski incomplete even if Kineski would have caught it it would have been well short of a first down and the punting unit trouts out under the field so Hillstill gets a first down off of some nice runs from Vanekinvord a huge 18-yard sack pushes the chargers all the way back spoiling another drive. So charge your defense is going to have to go back out on the field and get a stop against probably the GMAC quarterback offensive player of the year.

Yeah. Which is a big ask. Well, you're to kick this one away. Bounces at the 50. And rolls out at the 38-yard line. So 828 left in this second quarter. Hill still really holding their own. They have a 4 and 5 record.

I think they're much better team than the record really says. I think that's right. We saw a couple just sort of fumbles early on in the season, you know, one against, one at homecoming against Walsh and then up in Michigan Tech or Northern Michigan. So I think you're right. I think they are better than their record. But this is one of those games.

You've got to be on your game to be to 7 and 2 Tiffin team, you know? So far, it's been a really even match. So first down in 10 now for Johnson and company. Ball at the Tiffin 39. Tiffin driving here. Give to Blackman running lefties to the 40. Drag down at the 48. Well, no. The 50, balls on the ground, though.

The refs are going to say he was down. Really nice yards after contact there from Blackman. I thought he got hit at the 43-yard line for about. a three-yard gain, but ends up getting five more after that. He's a little shaking up on the play. Ronald Blackman, 1,100 yards coming into this game, rushing for the Dragon. So a key component of that Tiffin offense.

They've been playing unbelievable so far. Chris Walton on the Tiffin side, Drake Badger on the Chargers side. So now third down in one.

Ball at the Tiffin 48. 7.40 left in the second quarter. Johnson in the gun running right. and he's stopped he did not get it oh but the refs are going to wave it for a first down I don't know about that one so it was rather Keegan Ray the backup quarterback comes into the game for Tiffin

runs a quarterback power to the left man I don't know maybe it was a first down I was close it was a nice fill from Vance linebacker there he must have just barely squeaked it out So Johnson and Pistol, Blackman behind him. First down in 10, ball at midfield.

Tiffin, 10, Hillsdale, 6, 7 minutes left. So a gain of 4, Tiffin really slowing down the pace. Really last week, I thought a component of the game that the Hillsdale defense struggled with was with the quick offense of Thomas Moore. Yeah, it seemed like when Thomas Moore would go quick, Hillsdale had an issue. So we'll see if Tiffin may implement that as the game continues. 624 left in the second quarter. Johnson back to pass.

Second down in six. Caught by Thomas near a first down, dragged down at the 41-yard line by Jack Tratchett on that play. That's a nice rally effort from the chargers there. It was Trachet tripped him up in the ankles and Sutterdoll and a couple other chargers met him at the ball to bring up this third and one. So a third down in one. Hillsdale, charge your crowd, trying to be the 12th man on this play. Tiffin, 10, Hillsdale, 6, 545 left. In the second quarter, Johnson and Pistol, Blackman behind him, two receivers in the game.

Johnson back to pass. Throws, and incomplete, overthrows his receiver. Just overshot him. Just overshot Javier Willis on that play. Who had a step on Sauterdoll in the secondary. In the end zone. Soderdoll on the coverage. And now it's fourth down and one. Man, they're going to bring in Keegan Ray here. Tiffin is to try to convert this fourth down and one. I thought it was going to be a Keegan Ray quarterback power, but Tiffin O.C. changes it up on that conversion. Because they've showed that a couple times on Third and Short. You know, they're bringing Keegan Ray to, like you said, run a quarterback power. But there they run sort of a no-motion counter, you know, couple got some motion to the left hand side and then and then uh the running back took it took it to the far side and just converted by about three yards so first down in 10 ball at the charger 38 Johnson in the gun blackman to his left it's a give to blackman and he gets nothing tackled there by jacobance and drake badger

I thought there was some premature hit there while the ball was in the air, but I think Jalen Thomas went up to grab it. Francisone kind of ran into him there.

That's Drake Badger on that sack. What a nice play from him. And Tiffin's forced to punt. I think when we look back at this game, that's going to be a key play. I think so too. Just a couple minutes to go in the second quarter, you need to give your offense another chance before halftime. So Rudolph to kick this one away, standing at his own.

45 and it's going to bounce out at the 20 yard line. It's a shorter punt. Hillsdale's in a good position. If Hillsdale wins this ball game, I'm going to harken back to that Drake Badger's sack with three minutes left in the second quarter. So first down in 10 for the Chargers. They're going to start the drive at their own 30-yard line. McCurton, in the gun. Tiffin leads. Hillsdale, 10 to 6.

and he's going to get all the way up to the 40. O line's still pushing him. And they're still going. Beautiful. Let's go. Big number 74. up was the one who sort of started that push for the charges there. Shea escaped one chackle around the 40 yard line and ended up at the 46. So huge help from the offensive line there.

So a lot of times you like the big, longer

yardage plays to kind of hype your team up. But how about a 3 yards and a cloud of dust type play where the offensive line just carries the running back for 12 yards? 12 yard run, then a 10 yard run. This O line is taking over right now. First down in 10.

Ball at the Tiffin, 43. Chargers driving. Tiffin 10. Hillsdale 6, 212 left in this first half. Play action. McCurton, back to pass. He's got Ticero, down the field. Incomplete. The Chemistry Lab Wizard almost came down with a grab.

That would have put the chargers inside the 10. So they took a shot there. It was 1v1. He did a nice job there of working outside and then back toward the post. But McCurton threw it into double coverage and it was tall. last for Tut to go up and grab it over two Tiffin defenders. So second down in 10, ball at the Tiffin 43. Chargers with the ball, 201 left in this second quarter.

Tiffin 10, Chargers 6. McCurnin, quarterback sneak. He's going to get to the 40-yard line. So three-yard run for him. I like to get back to this charger run game so far. Really, the crowd really gets into it more when we're running the ball. This whole line starts pushing our running backs, just bonus yards really on these runs. So 1-57 left in the second quarter, Hillsdale 10, Tiffin 6, third down and 7.

Balls at the Tiffin 40. So seven yards to go. Really, points here are going to be huge with momentum. but the Chargers have it so far. The momentum is with Hillsdale. They're only down by four to a 7-2 Tiffin squad that has playoff hopes in November. But I have to give a shout out to Mother Nature

because this fall has been unbelievable weather. It's been beautiful. We haven't been stuck up in the box with flurry. Snow flurry is fine in our face. Like I think we might have been against Ohio Dominican last year. I mean, it's just been beautiful weather the whole year. November 9th, and it's 40 degrees and partly cloudy. 157 left.

Third down and 7. McCurnet, back to pass, throws. Caught. And it's a first down. Kineski with a great grab there. It was actually behind him. So he readjusted. Got the grab, converts the first down.

Guess who?

Drake Badger on the sack. And that's going to push them all the way back to their own 26-yard line. And most likely be the end of the first half. We'll see what Tiffin

I'm Ted Ferringer alongside me. It's Ty Ruddy. So the second half is nearly underway here. Chargers lead Tiffin University 13 to 10. after really a nice first half of play. Some comparisons here from the first half statistics. Tiffin, only five first downs. Hillsdale had eight.

Rush yards. Tiffin, only 10 to a charger 90. So really, all over the stat sheet, the chargers just show greater efficiency. efficiency. They've moved the ball more. They've had better field position. But Tiffin, Tiffin 7 and 2, looking to have playoff hopes survive here into the final week of play. As for the Chargers, they're 4 and 5, looking to get to 500 after starting the season 0 and 4, which looked reminiscent of last season in 2023, where exactly.

same way the Chargers started off the year 0 and 4 and then battled back to end the season 6 and 5 so we'll see what happens here to start the second half that Tiffin quarterback Alex Johnson

really an effective quarterback for the Dragons but some names to keep an eye on for the Dragons Ronald Blackman 32 rush yards in the first half That's a big name for Tiffin.

Blackman came into today with 1,100 yards rushing. Tiffin boasts the best offense and defense in all of GMAQ. They lead the GMAC in yards gained and yards conceded through the first nine weeks. And so far, Hillsdale has held their own rather well. I mean, the mistakes have been a little bit. You've got some penalties on some special teams, a missed extra point. But minus all of the special teams efforts, Hillsdale's playing a complete game of football.

And their record, I mean, the Chargers are better than the record show. The 4-and-5 record is not symbolic of what this team is about. Colin McCurnan for the Chargers at quarterback has been playing phenomenal so far. Five for nine, 47 yards and two touchdowns. No picks. Really the best throw of the day so far has been to Shea Ruddy on an out route. Hillsdale drove down the field, down by four in the last minute of the first half. and McCurnan threw a beautiful ball to Ruddy with about 30 seconds left.

And that got him within the – down inside the five. And then they punched it in a couple plays later. So Hillsdale 13, Tiffin 10. Chargers also are going to start with the ball for the second half as well, which is huge. So if Chargers drive down the field here, add seven more points. They could build a 10 point lead really just on the cusps of half time. So out comes Tiffin kicking team. Ben Rudolph to kick this one away for the Dragons.

Back deep for the Chargers. Jonathan Metzger standing at his own 12. And Shay Ruddy standing at his own 15. And here we go. It's Senior Day. Chargers saying goodbye to 18 seniors. It's their final home game. We'll see if their final one is a win.

So Rudolph kicks this one away. Fair caught by Metzger at the 11. Out comes Colin McCurnin and company. Try to make this three-point lead, a 10-point lead. And Ty Ruddy is back, folks. I made it. It's just not the same without Ty. You can sense it even from the other end of this microphone, I bet.

So this start of the second half is nearly underway here. Well, the first offensive player, the second half, rather, is nearly underway. Ball at the 25, first down in 10. Hillsdale 13, Tiff in 10. McCurnin and Pistol. Van Aikabort, 2 is right. three receivers in the game motion from williams one to the near side two to the far side giving the vanic board up the middle and he burst forward to the 32 yard line so i guess i did

some research at halftime and i've only been here well i'm a sophomore now at hillsdale tiffin's our rival tiffin is a rival of the chargers is finley a bigger rival than tiffin uh i would say i would say the finley mart rivalry is more yeah prominent i guess on campus. At least that's what it seems like to me. So second down and three ball at the 32, McCurner and the gum gives it to Van Kvindcobort. He runs up the middle and gets all the way down to the 39-yard line. Another story of this first half was the offensive line dominance in the last five minutes of the second quarter was just phenomenal.

It really changes the game a lot. it just makes every run more entertaining to watch as well. So first down in 10, ball at their own 40. Chargers driving here. McCurn and pistol. Van Engenegovort behind it. Motion from Ruddy. It's a gift of Van and Givort.

Running right has some room, makes a cut, fights forward, still go. Yards after contact is huge so far. That's a two-yard run that ends up as a six-yard run. for Van Incanvort there David Dorn checks into the game second down in three ball to charger 47

11.57 left in this third quarter. 11. Excuse me, no, not 11. Four guys. Three receivers in the game. I cannot count. Oh, low snap. It's a bust.

And Johnson's dropped for a loss. That Hillsdale defensive line is playing phenomenal. phenomenal right now. So Zach Tokey checks out of the game. Hunter Spurling and Drake Badger are at that teeth of that Hillsdale defense. I think Drake Badger's going to get a sack on this play. I think so too. He's due.

Johnson, in the gun. Blackman to his left. Blackfin motions out. Johnson looking that way, throws cod by Jalen Thomas. He's to the 45. 50 Thomas down to the 45 and chopped down by Trachett at the 43 yard line. There must have been some confusion in the Hillsdale zone there. He was standing wide open.

He wasn't running around. He was standing sort of at the first down marker caught the ball and was able to run for about another 35-ish yards. Tiffitt has a bad snap and a bust on the previous play and then Chargers have a defensive bust on the last play. So we're just trading off mistakes here. First down in 10. Tiffin driving. They're at the charger, 44. Johnson in the gun, Blackman to his left.

Throws outside to Thomas. Thomas to the 40. Tackled down at the 38-yard line by Gavin Chenevy. That's a nice job breaking him down there by Gavin Chenevy. Kind of an open field tackle, but these Tiffin, excuse me, these Tiffin wide receivers tend to be pretty shifty. So able to make the tackle there for third and four. So third down?

Excuse me. Second down and four. Empty set. Johnson in the gun. Not trips. What do you call that? That's definitely, is it a bunch? It's a bunch or a quad.

Whatever. There are four receivers to the far side. Johnson back to pass. Looking to the near side. It's got one V1. Incomplete. Fascinating matchup down here between Gavin Shennevie and Will Jackson. Will Jackson, he's a big dude down here, six, four. I mean, that's a good-sized receiver on the outside.

Does a stack sound like the right technical term for that? That sounds a lot better. A stack, yeah. That's why you have a Ph.D. in football IQ and I, I'm just a fan with the mic hooked up to me. Tiffin driving to give to Blackman running right and he's oh I don't know if he got the first down he may be a half yard short Hunter spurling on the tackle that's a defensive lineman making a clutch tackle fourth down in a half yard maybe a foot Tiffin's going to go for this they're going to bring in Kegan Ray I'm saying not saying they're not saying he's trotting onto the field I'm saying that's the trend but it doesn't look like they're going to King. Here we go. Fourth down in a foot. Ball to Charger, 35. QB. Sneak. And it looks like Johnson's going to get it. They're about a half-yard short, and it looks like they got it by about a half yard. So nice job by the Tiffin Dragons. Just push them over the line there and give a new set of downs.

So first down in 10 for Tiffin. They're at the Charger, 34. trying to erase this 13 to 10 lead. The Hillsdale has over the 7 and 2 GMAC foe. So taking their time here. Timeout called by Tiffin. I might write that one down. Timeout used early in the second half. You'd like to save those.

I wonder what the problem was there. I have a question. Maybe you know the answer. Maybe you don't. Does D2 have microphones in the helmet? Is that allowed? As far as I know, that's not a thing in Division 2. It's definitely not a thing with the Hillsdale Chargers.

As far as I know, that's a good question, actually. Is Division 1 and Division 2? Is it the same governing body? I think it is. NCAA. Yeah, NCAA oversees both of them, although I do know, just learned this recently, that there are different playoff rules for both. So it's not like there could be different rules in Division 2, Division 1. That's a good question.

So I wonder in years to come if the microphone and the helmet will be utilized by these D2 squads. So first down in 10, Tiffins at the charger, 34, empty set, Johnson in the gun. four receivers to the near side. Will Jackson to the far side. Johnson, back to pass, looking at Will Jackson's direction, and it's caught. So the matchup we highlighted between Shenneville and Jackson was just exploited there, and I think Jackson won that one. Really soft coverage.

If you're just tuning in, Tiffin just had a huge touchdown drive led by Alex Johnson. But mainly, I mean, it was Alex Johnson and Will Jackson. Yeah, a couple of really nice plays from Jackson on the outside there. A matchup that you highlighted, I think, earlier in the game between him and Chenevey. They're one and one a lot of the time.

So Chargers, looking to respond. McCurnan in the gun. Riffel to his left. Two receivers to the far side. Ruddy to the near side. Motion from Ruddy from far to near. It's to give to Ruddy from running from left to right. He cuts up the field. He's to the 25. Chop down to the 27-yard line. Teams must be seeing the jet sweep and film because it seemed to have worked more times earlier in the season than it does now. it's good for a couple yards every time nowadays but he he was breaking a couple of those early on in the season second down and eight ball at the charger 27 mccurton in the gun riffle to his left two receivers in the game three in the game rather two to the near side one to the far side six oh seven left third quarter

give to van and canvore and he spins down to the line of scrimmage some substitutions here for the Chargers, Kineski, Schmidt, hollering, check in, as well as Tud Carico. I like the mismatch on the outside. I think the receivers on both teams have such mismatches against the secondaries. So we'll see if the Chargers maybe look for one here. It's third down and eight. Ball at their own 27. McCurnin, rolling right.

Throws back to the left of Kineski's to the 40, down to the 50. Shove that abounds at the Tiffin, 49. Great concept there. Roll right and then hit the tight end who fakes a block and then runs left. I mean, it was wide open there. It's a beautiful play design. So huge first down there to try to get some momentum back that the Chargers had at the end of the first half. McCurnin and Pistol.

Vanekinvort behind him. Two receivers in the game, one to the near side, one to the far side. Four, 55 left, third quarter, give to Van and Kovort. Up the middle, and he gets about two, down to the 48. After watching some football this year, calling three, this is our third game. The Hillsdale secondary is actually pretty big compared to other teams. I'm just like looking at the secondary here. Oh, you mean size-wise?

Size-wise. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They got some good size in the secondary there. some hard hitters we'll see if they could try to slow down will jackson on this next drive i'll be fascinated to see that matchup so second down in eight ball at the tiffin forty eight play action back to pass and intended for ruddy god heck what a cat's good mccurton drops back to pass play action Ruddy one-on-one on the outside. I mean, send that film to East Lansing. Heck, oh, yeah, for real.

Get him in a Spartan uniform next year. A heck of a job by Shea. Heck of a job by McCurnan to put that thing on the sideline. Heck of a job by Shea to go up and get it and get that foot in bounds. I mean, I saw it from here. Oh. I don't think it's going to work. I saw it from here, and he caught it in the first place he looked was his feet.

Okay. Oh, my goodness. Yeah. Tough. I'm sitting at like a B. I'm like, my goodness, this is a tough class. Maybe he's got some notes for you. Maybe he can trade notes or something like that.

Oh. I don't know if the notes will, the notes will make a difference. But honestly, charge your wide receiver core has to take some notes after that play. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Well, I think it's really encouraging to know that I would say, I would say Shays, certainly, you know,

sort of the pinnacle of this wide receiver core for the Chargers. Definitely a playmaker. But, you know, they got Pratt. They got your guy, Tuck Caracow. They got Ryan Scurra. A lot of young and up-and-coming receivers. So I think are going to make a huge difference moving forward for the Chargers next couple seasons here.

They hopefully try to find their footing on offense. Colin McCurnan Oh, I forgot. Colin Davis too. Oh, Colin Davis. CD 15. CD 15. So a great group of young guys.

If they keep quarterback play, McCurnan's been playing fabulous. Yes, and he's a... And he's only... A registered freshman. I mean, you keep that momentum going, have some consistency of these skill positions with these young guys.

I mean, next year, You may look at as a six and three. I mean, you just never know. You're looking at a fast, quick offense for next year. You're looking at maybe an offense that tries to put it in the air. So the refs have just confirmed that the highlight will be added to Shea's huddle. There we go. Put that up on huddle.

So maybe next year we see more air raid. There's so many quick guys on the outside. They maybe could take advantage of it. So first down in 10. Ball to Tiffin, 32. Chargers drive in here. Two receivers in the game, one of the far side, one of the near side. First down in 10, pitch back to Van Ackinvord.

He's to the 34. Makes a nice cut, spins down to the 25-yard line. Van Ainkinvort gets hit and then spams. What's the Madden command for spin? Is it A? That's B. B, B, B. Hit the B button, man.

It works. A lot of yards after contact for the fifth year. Second, down in four. Chargers at the Tiff in 26. 319 left, third quarter. Give to Van Inkenvort. And he stopped in the backfield. Nowhere to go.

Charger, the dragon defense met Van Ankenvort instantly at the line of scrimmage there. So now third down in six. 258 left third quarter Tiffin 17 Chargers 13 but Hillsdale's driving try to cut into this four point lead McCurton in the gun hollering to his left

four receivers in the game two to the near side two to the far side third down and six this is big McCarney back to pass watch out he's sacked in the backfield dropped all the way back to the 38 yard line guess who Chris

Walton. He's back. That's four sacks on the day. Hack of a game for Chris Walton, man. Oh, my goodness. Single-handedly making a huge impact for this Dragon's defensive line, who itself has been playing out of their mind, but Walton's certainly a leader among them.

After all that, after a highlight reel from Ruddy, after driving all the way into Tiffin territory, Chargers are going to punt on a fourth and 14. Woodyard kicks this one away. Fair catch is called at the 10 by Ethan Hallbrook. So on comes Alex Johnson and this Tiffin offense. They're up by fourth. 17 to 13 over the Chargers.

Touchdown here makes an 11-point game. Really doesn't feel like an 11-point game. It feels like a one-possession game, but Chargers had the opportunity at the beginning of the second half to make it a two possession game. We have to punt. And now Tiffin in the same position at the end of the third quarter. Yeah, we've now seen two Charger offensive drives stall out on the Tiffin side of the field.

So first down in 10, ball at their own 10. Tiffin driving. Pitch and catch out to Jalen Thomas and he runs it up to the 20-yard line. So 10 yards on first down. We're going to find where Will Jackson's at, who's matching up against him and really closely watching. It looks like now it's Ryan Nixas on Will Jackson. Matt Soderdoll was on Will Jackson, Gavin Schenevy. Tiffin's really rotating him around the field to try to get some good match.

It's a mismatch. First down in 10, ball throw on 21. Tiffin driving, Johnson in the gun. Blackman to his right. He runs right. and runs the right side up to the 25-yard line. And it looks also like Hillsdale is trying to mix up the coverage a little bit. We saw a lot of man on that last drive when Sheneveh was able to,

when Jackson was able to catch that touchdown over Shenevy. Looks like they're playing some zone now with Nixah, hopefully trying to get them some safety help over the top, he would think. So they brought Vince Franciscone down. down from strong safety. Sort of played him as like a viper, I guess you would say. Sort of that mixed between safety and linebacker and he came on the safety clips. So Rudolph to pump this one away. Nice rotation. Ready to receive it at his own 21. Tries to make one man this.

And is dragged down at the 21. I thought a high, kind of like horse collar tackle there. From a bullet on the Tiffin squad, but no call. which is surprising this half there are no flags on special teams this half they met their quote on the first half I think both teams oh take a shot here yeah right now got to have something the play action's been working all day 12 38 left in the ball game trips to the far side McCurton in the gun Van Inkin vort to his right first down in 10 ball to charge of 20 McCurton back to pass looking looking he's got running

But that might be a play to come back to later in the game because it was a heck of a design. They sent Van Inkenboard on the swing, Shea on the wheel. And he had a step on his defender, so keep an eye on that.

So now second down in 10. ball to charge your 20 1232 left in the ball game tiffin 17 Hillsdale 13 two receivers to the far side McCurnan the gun gives the van ink and board and he's met in the hole by a crew of dragons and it's going to be a one-yard loss now third down in 11 when you don't get yards an incompletional loss on a run it just the drives go by so fast you go first you go first first down in 10 and now it's third and 11 it makes it makes those third and fourth down situations if you got four downs so certain fourth down situations are much more difficult if you don't have a good play on first and second down mccurton in the gun hollering to his left four receivers in the game trips to the far side pratt to the near side mccurna steps up in the pocket he's got joe schmidt open to first down the 31 yard line what a great grab there from joe schmidt Schmidt at a Brookfield Academy in Wisconsin. So now Chargers at their own 31, 11.30 left in the ball game. Tiffin 17, Hillsdale 13. McCurton in the gun. Van Ackinvort to his right. Two receivers to the far side, one on the near side. Motion from Kineski. It's a fake. McCurnin keeps.

He's to the 40. 38 rather. I thought he was going to get to the 40, but it couldn't make the last man miss. So this is the sort of first second down situation you like to see yourself in. It's a third, it's a second and four which opens up your playbook. You're not consigned to a run. You're not consigned to a pass play for the next three downs here. Second down and three, 1048 left in the ball game. McCurton in the gun. Vanekinvort to his right. Give to Vanekinvort. He's to the 45, 46. How about the Hillsdale O-Line would miraculously just pick him up and just throw him in the end zone.

Carry him 65 yards there. You know, for a kid who doesn't have the size of a typical Division 2 running back, Ben Ingleport runs hard, really hard and just willing to put that shoulder down to get those extra yards. And that's a first down. I neglected to save that. Move the chains. Didn't even have to do a third down. So the Anakin Vort in the gun.

Two backs in the back field with him in Tettler and Ruddy. Two receivers to the far side in Pratt and Carico. It's a reverse to Carico. He's to the- Throw it on the goal line so that they lead into it. Defender can't get it. It's a heck of a play by McCurnan and Rundee there to be on the same page. So Hillsdale 12, Tiffin 10.

I think we mentioned it a little bit earlier when I mentioned Van Inkenbor's patience. But I think on a broader scale, we're seeing patience from the offense as a whole, not trying to force anything. Just taking what Tiffin gives them. First. Down in 10. Tiffin at their own 36.

Johnson back to pass. And he's sacked in the backfield. Guess who? Drake Badger on the sack. And that's going to push them all the way back to their own 26-yard line. And most likely be the end of the first half. We'll see what Tiffin does. They're just going to stand at their own 27-yard line.

They've moved the ball more. They've had better field position. But Tiffin, Tiffin's 7 and 2, looking to have playoff hopes survive here into the final week of play. As for the Chargers, they're 4 and 5. Looking to get to 500 after starting the season 0.4, which looks reminiscent of last season in 2023,

where the exact same, The Chargers started off the year, O and 4, and then battled back to end the season 6 and 5. We'll see what happens here to start the second half. Tiffin quarterback, Alex Johnson, really an effective quarterback for the Dragons. But some names to keep an eye on for the Dragons. Ronald Blackman, 32 rush yards in the first half. a big name for Tiffin. Blackman came into today with 1,100 yards rushing.

Tiffin boasts the best offense and defense in all of GMAC. They lead the GMAC in yards gained and yards conceded through the first nine weeks. And so far, Hillsdale has held their own rather well. I mean, the mistakes have been a little bit. You've got some penalties on some special teams, a missed extra point. But minus all of the special teams efforts, Hillsdale's playing a complete game of football. And their record, I mean, the Chargers are better than the record show that the 4 and 5 record is not symbolic of what this team is about. Colin McCurnan for the Chargers at quarterback has been playing phenomenal so far.

Five for nine, 47 yards and two touchdowns. No picks. Really the best throw of the day so far has been to Shea Ruddy on an out route. Hillsdale drove down the field, down by four in the last minute of the first half. and McCurnan threw a beautiful ball to Ruddy with about 30 seconds left. And that got him within the – down inside the five. And then they punched it in a couple plays later. So Hillsdale 13, Tiffin 10.

Chargers also are going to start with the ball for the second half as well, which is huge. So if charges drive down the field here, add seven more points. They could build a 10 point lead really just on the cusps of halftime. So out comes Tiffin kicking team. Ben Rudolph to kick this one away for the dragons. Back deep for the chargers. Jonathan Metzger standing at his own 12. And Shay Ruddy standing at his own 15.

And here we go. It's Senior Day. Chargers saying goodbye to 18 seniors. It's their final home game. We'll see if their final one is a win. So Rudolph kicks this one away. Farad by Metzger at the 11. Out comes Colin McCurnin and company.

Try to make this three-point lead, a 10-point lead. And Ty Ruddy is back, folks. I made it. It's just not the same without Ty. You can sense it even from the other end of this microphone, I bet. So this start of the second half is nearly underway here. Well, the first offensive player, the second half, rather, is nearly underway. Ball at the 25, first down in 10.

Hillsdale, Tiff in 10. McCurnin and Pistol. Van Ackabort, 2 is right. Three receivers in the game. Motion from Williams, one to the near side, two to the far side, giving the Vanning-Caboard up the middle, and he burst forward to the 32-yard line. So I guess I did some research at halftime,

and I've only been here, well, I'm a sophomore now at Hillsdale. Tiffin's our rival. Tiffin's a rival of the Chargers, yeah. Is Finley a bigger rival than Tiffin? I would say the Finley-Rivalry is more, yeah, prominent, I guess, on campus. At least that's what it seems like to me. So second down and three ball at the 32, McCurner and the gun gives it to Vanning Cibor. He runs up the middle and gets all the way down to the 39-yard line.

Another story of this first half was the offensive line dominance in the last five minutes of the second quarter. It was just phenomenal. It really changes the game a lot. it just makes every run more entertaining to watch as well. So first down in 10, ball at their own 40. Chargers driving here. McCurnin and pistol. Van Engivort behind him, motion from Ruddy.

It's a gift of Vanekervoir running right, has some room, makes a cut, fights forward, still go. Yards after contact is huge so far. That's a two-yard run that ends up as a six-yard run. for Van Incanvort there David Dorn checks into the game second down in three ball to charger 47 McCurnan in the gun

Ryan Scura's also in the game 1v1 at the near side keep an eye on that 13 13 left third quarter blitz from Tiffin give to Van Inconvort he has nowhere to go brought back all the way to the 38 yard line that's a nine yard loss on that play

Todd Kerrico checks in for scura now a third down and nine so not quite a nine yard loss it ended up being a seven yard loss because of progress so that turns a third and two into a third and nine changed up your play calling a little bit it's a must pass situation here from the charges third down and nine ball thrown 41 mccurton in the gun jorn and ready to the far near side McCurton to pass. Shakes off potential defensive lineman that tried to sack him and it falls incomplete intended for Kineski on the near side and the ball falls at the 40 at his feet. So on to punt this one away is Ian Woodyard. And a hopes of adding to this three point lead early in the third quarter does not happen.

Ethan Holbrook back deep for the dragons standing at his own 25 Woodyard's pump it punt is up and bounces at the 31 before rolling down to the 15 12 12 left in the third quarter the Washington transfer Alex Johnson trots on to the field to try to take back the lead. A lead the chart that dragons had for much of the first half leading most of the game. 7, 6, 10, 6. Then the Chargers tacked on a late first half touchdown to make it 13 to 10. Johnson in the gun.

Four receivers in the game to the near side. Throws out to the far side. Complete. Will Jackson with the grab. Five yard gain on first down, shoved out of bounds at the 19-yard line. So second down in five at the 19. 11.57 left in this third quarter.

11. Excuse me, no, not 11. Four guys. Three receivers in the game. I cannot count. Oh, low snap. It's a bust. And Johnson's dropped for a loss.

That Hillsdale defensive line is playing phenomenal right now. So Zach Tokey checks out of the game. Hunter Spurling and Drake Badger are at that teeth of that Hillsdale defense. I think Drake Badger's going to get a sack on this play. I think so too. He's due. Johnson, in the gun. Blackman to his left. Blackfin motions out Johnson looking that way throws caught by Jalen Thomas he's to the 45 50

Thomas down to the 45 and chopped down by Trachett at the 43 yard line There must have been some confusion in the Hillsdale zone there He was standing wide open I wasn't running around he was standing sort of at the first down marker caught the ball and was able to run for about another 35 Yards Tiffith has a bad snap and a bust on the previous play and then Chargers have a defensive bust on the last play. So we're just trading off mistakes here. First down in 10. Tiffin driving.

They're at the charger, 44. Johnson in the gun, Blackman to his left. Throws outside to Thomas. Thomas to the 40. Tackled down at the 38-yard line by Gavin Chenevy. That's a nice job breaking him down there by Gavin Chenevy. kind of an open field tackle, but these Tiffin, excuse me, these Tiffin wide receivers tend to be pretty shifty.

So able to make the tackle there for third and four. So third down, excuse me, second down and four. Empty set, Johnson in the gun. Not trips. What do you call that? That's definitely, is it a bunch? It's a bunch or a quad. Whatever, there are four receivers to the far side.

Johnson back to pass, looking to the near side. It's got one V1. incomplete fascinating matchup down here between Gavin Chenevy and Will Jackson. Will Jackson, he's a big dude down here, six, four. I mean, that's a good-sized receiver on the outside. Does a stack sound like the right technical term for that? That sounds a lot better. A stack, yeah.

I mean, you just never know. You're looking at a fast, quick offense for next year. You're looking at maybe an offense that tries to put it in the air. Looks like they're playing some zone now with Nix's, hopefully trying to get them some safety help over the top, he would think. Looks like we have an injury on the field.
