Welcome to the Grammar Minute, where we're saving the English language 60 seconds at a time.
I'm Lauren Smith, and yesterday we reviewed a tip from a writing guide by economist Doug Allen.
Here are a few more tips from that guide.
Refute means to disprove, while rebut means to argue against.
Disinterested means neutral, whereas uninterested means not interested.
Chronic means long-term, not very bad and is not to be confused with acute.
Penultimate means next to last, not best.
