Starting point is 00:00:00 Welcome to the Grammar Minute, where we're saving the English language 60 seconds at a time. I'm Lauren Smith, and this is probably the last episode I'll ever make before I graduate from college. So I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at Hillsdale who has listened to this show, given me topic ideas, and just generally made this project so much fun. Never fear. Grammar Minute isn't going anywhere. It just won't be on air at WRFH Radio Free Hillsdale forever. But you can still find it online at the Grammar Minute. dot com if you also feel the English language still needs saving. Now onto what you came for,
Starting point is 00:00:36 grammar. Should thank you ever be hyphenated? The answer somewhat surprisingly is yes. You don't need to do this when you're just saying thank you, but when you use it as a noun or an adjective, it needs a hyphen to make it clear that it's one item or one descriptor. That's your grammar minute. Visit thegrammarminut.com for more tips and tricks.
