Today, we're learning the secret to an excellent reputation. George Washington, from 1732 to died 1799, was a man famous for his tale of leading a country. Washington served in the military from a young age and rose to become the commander-in-chief of the American army during the famous War for Independence. After winning the war, he was elected as the first president of the United States, where he served two terms before stepping down,
Starting point is 00:00:37 setting a precedent for future presidents. Washington is revered for his wisdom and capabilities on the battlefront as well as in politics. His humility and service has earned him a golden reputation that lasts to this very day. He once said, Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation. Washington lived by the principle of honorability. He understood that you become who you surround yourself with. Therefore, choosing friends of virtue is of absolute and utmost importance.
