Welcome to the lived and learned show.
This is your host, Grace Novak, sharing tips on how to have a successful life from practice experts.
Today, we're learning the secret to a purposeful life.
John Adams, born 1735, died 1826, was a man famous for his writing and arguing as a politician and lawyer.
Adams is renowned for being one of the founding fathers of the United States of America.
He and his son were both presidents, and the records of his letters corresponding with his wife
Abigail are cherished national treasures.
Adams helped set the stage for modern America as we know it.
He once said, to be good and to do good is all we have to do.
Adams lived by the principle of purpose.
He understood that a life with meaning required an objective goal.
When a person focuses on one thing, the other things fall into place.
So many little things do not matter.
Assess what is good and Adams believes your priorities will quickly fall into place.
When one remembers what truly matters, the motivation to live a good and godly life overflows.
In summary, focus on the good and all else will follow.
This has been lived and learned with Grace Novak.
