But a foul is called on Morgan.
Number 24 for Cedarville.
Curtis Blair, the third.
We'll go to the free throw line.
I'll tell you what, Gabe.
That was some great defense down there in that last drive by number one.
Caleb Glacier from Chargers.
Forcing two airballed free-throw, or air-balled layups there.
of Blair's two free throws does not go in.
This is your Chargers team.
Currently four and three here in Don Tip at the Potter Arena.
All six and nine.
Second shot does not go.
Goes out of bounds off of a Chargers foot.
So Cedarville will maintain possession.
Here, Cedarville, your visiting yellow jackets are currently eight and six.
Only two and three at away games, though.
Both teams struggling on the road.

who drives, puts a shot up, goes in. Tommy Morgan, the only second year player on this team.
Last year he was the only freshman who did not see time to keep his red shirt.
In college basketball, if you play one minute, you burn your year of eligibility.
Cedarville takes the ball back to their side of the court, keeps some passes, but maintains possession around the three-point line.
Top of the key of foul was called on Cole McQuinnie on defense.
You know, I didn't see a lot of foul there, but.
Yeah, I agree with you.
Not sure what that call was, but number 31, C.J. Yerian, a dominant 610, 230-pound Redshirt Jr. out of Cleveland checks in, along with number three.
Raylon Morris, a standout freshman shooting 46% from the three-point line, pairing with Janowski Stonebreaker and McQuinnney.
Cedarville triples a ball around the three-point line, passes down to a watchman.
right open man the low post who blew by CJ Yerian but dropped the wide open pass would have an easy layup for the yellow jackets but instead it's a charger's ball Stonebreaker to pass in for this Hillsdale team we just had another freshman check in here number four paxing Gertz
Gertz takes the ball up the court passes to number 30 Stonebreaker over to C.J. Yerian who dumps it back to Stonebreaker on a give and go who was fouled
on a layup attempt.

And Dylan, what are you seeing out here?
You know, it doesn't think a genius to tell you,
you got to make shots to win a basketball game.
Right now, Cedarville, their shots aren't falling.
And that's why we're up 7 to 2 right now.
Chargers having some really good defensive plays in the post,
especially number one, Caleb, Glacier.
Offensively, you know, we're just making a lot of shots that are putting up right now.

Passes around the three point arc,
down to the low post guarded by Connor Stonebreaker,
who is back down, shot goes up,
does not go in,
rebounded by CJ Yerian, passed to Ashton Janowski, who takes ball back up the court,
who dumps it off to C.J. Yerian.
Passes back to Janowski. They pass back to each other.
To Stonebreaker, who dribbles, takes a midi shot right around the free throw line.

He dumps it back out to Stonebreaker
6 foot 7 for 3
Big Man Connor
Stonebreaker with a big time 3 point
shot. Your charges lead 16 to 2
with 14 minutes
into the first half.
And I mean
incredible start for your charges. That was a
dominant stretch right there. Going down, knocking
down multiple three-pointers and
Cedarville just cannot get it going
offensively. They still have two points
and there is 14 minutes
left from this first period.
Yeah, I mean, hey,
14-point lead
and six minutes of playing time. That's huge.
also want to shout out our grounds crew

Today we'll be talking about a city named after perhaps one of the coolest people in American history,
Houston, Texas.
founded on August 30th, 1836 by land investors,
the city gets its name from the general and politician Sam Houston.
Houston led Texas to independence from Mexico at the Battle of San Jacinto,
just 25 miles from the future site of Houston, Texas,
and taking place months before the city's founding.
The city served as the capital of the Republic of Texas,
which existed from March 2, 1836 to February 19, 1846, before it became a 28th state.
Houston, the man, served as the president.
president of the Republic of Texas for most of its existence, and was one of the inaugural
senators representing Texas after it became a state. He is a long and impressive military career
and was a respected politician. It seems fitting that there should be a major city named after
someone as influential and impressive as Sam Houston. This is Megan Pitcock, and you've been listening

Today, we'll be talking about a city named after perhaps one of the coolest people in American
history, Houston, Texas. Founded on August 30th, 1836 by land investors, the city gets its name
from the general and politician Sam Houston. Houston led Texas to independence from Mexico at the
Battle of San Jacinto, just 25 miles from the future site of Houston, Texas, and taking
place months before the city's founding. The city served as the capital of the Republic of Texas,
which existed from March 2nd, 1836 to February 19th, 1846, before it became a 28th state.
Houston, the man, served as the president of the Republic of Texas for most of its existence,
and was one of the inaugural senators representing Texas after it became a state.
He is a long and impressive military career and was a respected politician.
It seems fitting that there should be a major city named after someone as influential and impressive as Sam Houston.

were worried. A missing cat poster went up everywhere with her picture and a $2,000 reward. Thankfully,
security cameras helped save the day as Francine was spotted wandering into the back of a delivery

This is Minute of Honor.
Here's Jenna Suhita.
On June 6, 1918, Gunnery Sergeant Charles Hoffman was serving near Charlie.
Tatao Tierra, France. His company had taken Hill 142 and was attempted to consolidate their
position. But immediately after taking the position, enemy forces began launching several hostile
counterattacks against the line. Sergeant Hoffman was attempting to organize a position on the north
slope of the hill when he saw 12 of the enemy armed with five light machine guns crawling towards
his group. Given the alarm, he rushed towards the hostile detachment, bayoneted the two leaders
and forced the others to flee, abandoning their guns. His quick action, initiative and courage
drove the enemy from a position from which they could have swept the entire hill with machine gunfire
and forced the withdrawal of American troops. For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity above and
beyond the call of duty, gunnery Sergeant Charles Hoffman received both the Navy Medal of Honor and the Army Medal of
Honor. This is Minute of Honor on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.

Regardless of his size,
He's got a good stroke in the ball there.
Absolutely.
Some kids are yelling in the stands as your charges now have 67 points.

to set up that shot. Meanwhile, Ruffalo smokes a layup. Rebounded by Morris, takes the ball back
for the Chargers, puts his own layup up, is fouled. Shot almost goes in, does not. Morris will
shoot two free throws. Nice little stretch there by the Chargers to regain some momentum. Up by five now

60 seconds out of time. I'm Lauren Smith, and quotation marks are not used to create emphasis.
People often use italics or bolding or caps lock to indicate that something is super important.
especially on signs.
Think, do not enter.
Those are all correct ways to indicate emphasis,
though they're not appropriate for formal full-length writing projects.
The wrong way to indicate emphasis is to put the phrase in quotation marks.
When used to indicate something besides a direct quotation,
these marks are called scare quotes,
and they typically indicate some kind of irony or sarcasm.
So do not enter becomes do not answer.
For short messages on signs, you can use italics,
bolding, larger font, colorful font, or caps lock.
For longer, more formal writing, structure your sentences to make the emphasis clear without resorting to fancy fonts.
That's your Grammar Minute. Visit thegrammerminit.com for more tips and tricks.

Hillsdale has had a control of this game the whole way.
They're up by 16 in the first half.
Cedarville has been crawling back,

Certainly a ballgame on our hands here.
Previously on Charger Basketball,
Stonebreaker was fouled,
and Connor Stonebreaker number 30,
the 6'7 big man will shoot free throwups.
First shot goes up and is good.
Nothing but net there on the free throw.
Didn't even kiss the rim.
One of the biggest strengths is the shooting ability of the big men.
Stonebreaker and Yari.
I mean, big time players here.
Second shot goes up.
Drain's it again.
Your chargers now lead 77 to 69 with three minutes left in the second half.

Janowski puts a shot up.
Snope swings it to McQuinney.
Free point shot goes up.
Does not go in.
Not sure what the rest is calling,
but he called something and he called it with some energy.
right there. Multiple guys
in the floor right now.
This call could go anywhere.
Not sure what direction they're going to go in here.
Could have been fouled in a three-point shot.
Could have been a foul down there in the paint.
Not sure up here in the booth.
Not quite sure what the...
Oh, the refs take their own time out to continue discussing the play call.
We wonder how that could be.
Big thank you to all the fans here in Don Tippett's Potter Arena, the Simpsonites.
Nate Furness, Cole Timler,
and Jay Willie and crew.
The football team, Evan Mick,
my former co-host, just now,
Colin Davis, Zach Affalter.
Up here, we've got Nate Treffler,
our head football coach, and team chaplain,
Doc Jennings, also in the corner.
I'll tell you what, that was a great run by the Chargers.
Putting themselves up by 10 points now
with 106 left in the ball game.
Glacier had a nice little run there.
Got a little layup, came down,
got a defensive rebound.
Really, it's a team effort, obviously,
but absolutely I agree I think he's taking over this game

Big time, big time play.
Shout out Nate Ferness, waving over to me.
Wearing his OKC Shea Gildjus Alexander, Jersey.
You know, he was playing by like SGA tonight was the Slarski twins, the Splash Sisters.
Combined for half the team's points and with the top two leading scores,
despite five chargers all logging double-digit points.
A coming out night for both sophomores.
Also in attendance, we have the golf team and Simpson House Mom, Miss Wilson.
Miss Wilson, I'd argue, is out of all the dormitories, the best house mom.
That's what they're saying.
That's what word on the street is.
Mrs. A. with Galloway comes close, but I think I've got to give the edge to Miss Wilson.
You know, hey, like eight straight
Homecoming Cups, that's leadership
right there. You know, you talk about leading a team,
you talk about like dominance. Simpson with
like eight straight or six
of the last seven
homecoming titles. That's big
time. She's got quite the
dorm. She went to a tight chip over there.
One of the biggest dorms on campus.
You're still in a timeout. Your charges lead
81-71, 106
left in the second half.
The reps are certainly debating this call.
They have been talking about this for quite some time.
Trying to get it right.
Gotta respect it.
Quite a bit.
You think this is Vatican II, the way they are discussing and debating.
Or as my fellow sophomores in American Heritage would like to reference the Constitutional Convention.
Just a little Hillsdale education tidbit for you there.
your charge is looking to improve to
let's see here
your charge is looking to improve to
four and three in conference play
actually I'm sorry take that back
they're looking to get back to 500
4 and 4 in conference play
and knock down Cedarville to
4 and 4 as well
both teams looking to make a run
in the second half of the season
and
you know a decent seed
in the
G-MAC Conference Championship Tournament.
Following this game, the Hills O Chargers
will play Tiff University and then Finley, both on the road.
Getting some tough games there, Chargers.
Especially because of their recent struggles on the road.
They actually picked up their first road win last game
against Thomas Moore in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
Before that, they had lost the first six away games this season.
Rough start, but there is plenty of times.
for improvement in this season.
Absolutely. All you need to do is get hot at the end.
And, hey, anything can happen.
That's why they call it March Madness.
That's right.
In for your chargers is number two Janowski, number four, Gertz, number three, Morris,
number 30, Stonebreaker, number one.
Caleb Blazer.
Davis gets the inbound pass from Sellers for Cedarville, passes down to
White side.
Three point shot goes up.
Does not go in.
Rebounded by Glazer and he will be foul.
The Yellow Jackets opting to start fouling with 55 seconds left in the game,
down 10.
And Glazer will shoot two shots.
We are now in the double bonus.
Gotta respect the play call to go foul and, you know,
try to say in this game, but they're down 10 with less than a minute to go.
You got to ask, but when is it over?
Absolutely.
I agree with you there.
Laser first shot.
Goes up, does not go.
Blazor dribbles.
Second shot puts it up.
And it is good. Your charters now lead by 11, 82 to 71, 55 seconds left in the game.
White side for the yellow jackets, passes.
Ruffalo puts a three-point shot up.
Does not go.
Brayland Morris rebound.
Passes to Stonebreaker.
And a foul is called on the Yellow Jackets.
So Stonebreaker will now go and shoot two free throws.
It appears as if Hillstone has a very strong free-throw shooting team in right now.
They opted not to foul Brailing Morris when he had the ball.
When Stonebreaker got it, they went right for him.
Stonebreaker, a 64% free-throw shooter compared to Morris's 73.
But the first shot goes in anyways.
Your Chargers lead 83 to 71, 42.6 seconds left in the second half.
Stonebreaker second shot goes up and is good all but ceiling victory for the Chargers.
Yellow Jackets take the ball down.
This is Ruffalo.
Passes to White Side.
White side hands it back off to Ruffalo who spins.
Passes to number 15 Sellers.
Three-point shot is no good.
A fadeaway shot in the corner is nothing more than a desperation shot, in my opinion there.
Absolutely.
But it does go off a charger hand and rolled out of bounds.
So sellers will pass the ball inbound.
to that's Davis Davis puts up a contested three-point shot does not go
rebounded by Stonebreaker passes to Stonebreaker who will dribble down
and looks like with 18 17 16 seconds left Gertz will hold the ball and as time
expires your charge will win set 84 to 71 against a very respectable Cedarville

Zero game! Your Chargers!
Conquer the Cedarville Yellow Jackets, 84 to 71.

He's 16 unanswered points in the first half.
When Cedarville then started to answer in the second half,
made a close game even tied it up,
but never were able to take the lead.
The entire game besides the first two points at the ball game.
Absolutely.
We will have to wait nine days until your next home game.
Your charges will return to Don Tibbitts Potter Arena,
Saturday, January 24th at 3 p.m. against Ashland University.
