The following is a special presentation of WRFH Sports.
Crowd is roaring. It's a sold-out game here.
Takes the three.
Passes outside to Tavon.
Tavon takes the three.
Got that one.
Back-to-back threes for the chargers.
They pulled ahead by three.
Still charger basketball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM starts now.
Your basketball on Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM starts now.
Your basketball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
I am Gordy.
I am Cole Canter.
And we are here with you guys at Don Tibbitts Potter Arena
for an out-of-conference matchup between your Hillsdale Chargers
and Indiana University Northwest.
Should be a good ball game tonight here in Don Tibbis Potter Arena.
Indian University Northwest is an N-A-I-School out of Indiana.
They are 4-1-1 on the year.
Interesting to note, O-N-1 on the road.
They are on the road tonight.
They have wins over Michigan-Deerborn to St. Mary's Woods,
Cleary, Michigan, and I.U. Kokomo.
Your home chargers rolling out here.
Pet ban in attendance should be a fun one tonight.
Should be.
Hillsdale, you know, we want to see if the threes are hitting the night early and often for our chargers.
We live and by the three.
We died by the three here in Hillsdale.
I'd have to agree the Chargers starting off the year with an exciting 4-0
with their last game against Judson with a win, 81, 53.
Interesting to note, Purdue, or sorry, Indiana North West,
with Trace Williams, their leading score averaging 18.2.
Yeah, if you look at the stats here,
they got four guys who can really score the ball for them.
So it's interesting to see how Hillsdale will match up with these guys tonight.
They look like a very athletic bunch.
So it was going to be interesting to see what goes on tonight.
Yeah, should be fun. The Chargers, your Chargers leading scorer.
Mikey McCallum, the sophomore.
Should be exciting to watch him play.
Six-four from Lewis Center, Ohio.
Chargers slamming it home here in the warm-moves.
He's got the football team in the student section tonight, hoping to bring the juice.
Yeah, alongside Mikey, Logan Beeson's really been having a good season thus far.
Hours and 12-and-half points.
A lot of threes in the games he has played.
You can always rely on Joe Ruder to score some points for the Hillsdale Chargers.
Joe Ruder, the senior leader here for the Chargers.
Been a great player in his career in the G-MAC.
Should be fun to see what he has tonight.
A lot of players to highlight, a lot of high scores should be real, real fun tonight.
Hopefully the outcome of the men's games different from the girls' game just before this.
A tough loss for the Hillsdale Women's basketball team against the Wayne State Warriors.
Yeah, they took on Wayne State and an 80 to 67 loss was a tough.
Tight one throughout. Warriors pulled away late in the fourth.
We'll see a different result.
Would be great to see the Chargers start 5-0 in non-conference play.
Yeah, that would be big because they're starting conference play here soon.
I think they got one more non-conference game than they started conference.
So it would be good to go into conference play undefeated.
As we mentioned, a lot of scoring distribution for Indiana Northwest.
Also for the Chargers.
Three guys, almost four, averaging 12.
Team that likes to spread it around, like Cole mentioned, live and die by the three.
That will be a big key for tonight's game, making the travel here from Indiana.
Also looking at this, the points per game, Hillsdale's averaged in 89.8,
and they're holding opponents to 59.5.
That is a big margin.
Great defensive team in one game to highlight that definitely helped that was the game versus East West University.
Good old East West.
Tough loss for them.
105 to 46. Newer program, taking on the chargers. Couldn't find a dub.
What do you hope to see on the hills overnight, Gordon?
You know, one thing that I want to see early and often is swinging the ball around and getting great looks.
I think that is going to be the key. A team that likes to shoot the three ball, we can always see.
They fall into taking a lot of them that they might not love. You know what I mean? I want us to love our.
shots tonight. Hillsdale, ever since I've been here all four years, they love cutting,
they love getting the back cut, they like getting the easy shots. Easy shots is my key for
tonight. What I also like on Hillsdale is when they dribble and drive, kick it out to wide open
three. I love when they do that wide open shots, creates better shots. I love to see
down the boys. Defensively, the key I would say is keeping these high-level scores like Trace
Williams and Danny Smith, both almost averaging 18 to a minimum tonight.
kind of falls off after that for Indiana Northwest, the Red Hawks.
Fun little team.
Speaking of three-pointers for Hillsdale, they make at least 12 a game
and they're holding opponents to four a game.
And that's huge.
I mean, that differential is huge.
It is something that they are living for tonight.
On the other end, for the Red Hawks.
They, I mean, they shoot threes at a premium as well.
About nine a game at 40% holding opponents to only five makes a game
We'll see who wins that battle.
I think this defense comes down to who gets more stops.
I think it's what it comes down to.
I haven't seen Indiana University Northwest play yet,
but looking at the stats from the season they're having thus far,
I think he's coming down to stops.
Yeah, they're high volume offense,
so big key for the charges to try to minimize that.
And when they do get a stop, grabbing the rebound.
You are listening to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
This is Hillsdale Basketball.
We'll take you to break for the national anthem.
Charger Basketball.
About announces the starting lineup,
starting off with Indiana Northwest, the Red Hawks.
Their starting lineup tonight would be Anthony Taylor,
Trace Williams,
the Dayon Barnes, Caleb Jenkins,
and Jalen Jennings.
As we mentioned, number four, Trace Williams.
Player to highlight tonight, 18.2 a game.
Another big-time score for them.
Danny Smith, number 10.
Coming off the bench, it appears.
Danny Smith, score six-man off the bench.
The Hillsdale Chargers starting lineup tonight is Ashen Janowski,
Charles Woodhams, Logan Beeston, Joe Ruder,
and Eric Radicevich.
I think we're just going to stick with Big Rick tonight.
Yeah, Big Rick, sure.
And he's a presence down there.
Good to see him back in the lineup.
He was out last game. He was out last game. He is back. Huge one for the Chargers. Huge presence down there.
Here we go. Good little crowd here tonight.
Should be a fun one. Yeah, nice to see this on a Wednesday.
Had a great crowd. As we mentioned for the girls game, Chick-fil-A night.
So if you were- We got some grub.
Yeah, we got chick-fil-A for the students, for the fans, for the parents, for everybody.
And that's what we need.
heard if we get 100 everyone gets free chick's what that's it you know we should do that a little promo
if we if they do that in the NBA sure tacos for 100 points chicken tenders I think it's I think
it's the other team's under 100 in the NBA but sure here we are the red hawks in all black
your hometown chargers in all white can't wait for this game here tonight gordon one little
video board highlight for the charger showing off some of the talented players we got this year
Always a powerhouse in the G-Max starting off, as we always do.
Here we go.
Fun to note, Chargers, a lot of guys from Wisconsin.
Yeah.
We got a good amount of Wisconsin guys here on the roster.
Great basketball hot spot.
It's pretty even distributed between Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan.
Yeah, we got it all over.
We got one Illinois kid.
And Garrett Bullsie.
Ashton Janowski.
The short-year-off the bench, Michael McCollum, when he hits in the game.
And that just kind of shows the selflessness of this Hillsdale team, the leading score coming off the bench.
He's working off the bench, sixth man, doing his role off the bench.
He need a guy who can fill it up off the bench.
From Tiffin, Ohio, number 30, Logan, Easton.
From the rival school, Tiffin, we're able to.
to pull him out of his home state to Hillsdale College.
And the big fella, big Rick, big Rick, big three five down low.
6-9-240.
That's a big fella.
That's a big fella.
And I'm just going to let you know right now,
Indiana Northwest does not have any big fellas out there.
They might try to run and gun us.
Yeah, I mean, it's even that way.
Jalen Jennings is also 6-9, but he's 2-10.
10.
We'll in the slumber side.
A little undersized, but 6-9 against 6-9 here tonight.
Battle of the Bigs.
Can't forget about Joe Ruter, our guy.
Double-3s out there.
Unless you go get hot tonight.
Yeah, I would love that.
Another thing that is fun to note.
Every charger three-pointer t-shirts for everyone in the crowd,
they're going to be throwing them out.
Everybody gets a T-shirt.
You want it.
If you want it, you get it.
Here we are for the tip-off.

Here's stories from America's favorite pastime
on the old ball game with Tate Christensen,
here on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
Charger basketball.
Cole, what do you think each huddle is saying has,
point of emphasis here coming out of the timeout.
If I'm the coach for Northwest, I'm saying let's get some more ball movement.
Let's not take it some bad shots, four shots.
If I'm the Chargers, I'm saying let's keep doing what we've been doing.
One thing I'd add about the Chargers, keep the transition game, steals into buckets.
And limit turnovers.
Got a little sloppy there for a few minutes.
Here we go.
Back in action, 3017, charges up 13, 632 to play.
Woodham's on the wing, screen by Big Rick.
Big Rick, another screen for Janowski.
Woodham's going to take the one-on-one, tough take, inside hand, finish good.
32, 17, Chargers taking a commanding lead here early.
Screen, top of the key.
Williams still trying to get going.
Down to the Bigfella.
34.
Jalen Jennings working on Big Rick.
Fader off the right foot.
Fuck it.
Good.
Still iso ball, but a great, dirk-esque, if you will, finish there.
Sure.
A little dirt get him.
Chargers coming back the other way.
Woodham's top of the key.
Screen for Janowski.
He's going to get it, run the offense with 20 to go on the shot clock.
Big Rick, download a boltie.
Garrett looking for something to go.
Turn around, midi.
Rebound, Woodams.
Eight to go on the shot clock.
Didn't reset.
Tough finish with the left.
Won't go.
Rebound.
Back up with the left.
Yes.
Some bully ball there, Gordy.
That's a huge finish down low.
3419.
Chargers return with a deuce of their own.
Stuffing the stat sheet for Woodhams.
Williams on Woodham.
Still looking to go.
Great defender.
Tough floater.
Wow.
Tough bucket for Trace Williams.
That's why he's the best player.
3421.
Janowski coming back the other way.
Beeson top key.
We're going to drive.
Nothing.
Woodham swings it to Boltee.
Looking for a post touch for Big Rekke.
Got one.
One on one here.
On Jennings.
Spin to the left.
Pump.
Blocked away.
Great defense there by the Red Hawks.
The other way, Williams, tough finish inside will go.
A little run here for the Red Hawks, 3423 with 4.48 to go.
Good play by Trace Williams on the fast break there.
That's their guy.
They're going to him.
Trying to find something big Rick pumps on the outside, gets them to jump.
Back to Woodhams.
Open three, bang.
Great look there for the Chargers, 37, 23.
Three, chargers taking the lead again, responding to everything that Northwest has.
Need a better close out there.
Number one, three, bang, back to back three is there.
Trey Stein Hibler.
Huge shot needed it to stop the bleeding.
Chargers up 37, 26.
Bulte to Wudham's.
Woodham's looking for something, bolty.
Back to Bison.
He takes the three of his own, won't go.
Rebound out of bounds.
I don't like that shot right there, Gord.
It's early in the shot clock.
It's going to take us to another timeout.
You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM media timeout.
I'm Gordy.
Welcome to the old ball game, where we talked about the past of America's favorite pastime.
I'm T. Christensen.
Today we talk about baseball's appearance in the Olympics.
The sport first appeared in the Paris Games of 1900, but little, in fact, really nothing
was recorded of the occurrence.
12 years later, in the 1912 games of Stockholm, it appeared once again but as a demonstration game,
meaning that it was played more to promote the sport rather than for true competition.
In these Olympic games, the U.S. team played host Sweden and won 13 to 3.
Baseball continued to be an exhibition sport throughout the 20th century,
with games played in the 1924 Paris Games, 1936 Berlin Games,
1956 Melbourne games, and the 1988 Seahol games, among others.
Many opposed the idea of bringing baseball into the Olympics.
saying that baseball is too commercialized to sport for the Olympic games.
Still today, baseball is not an official Olympic sport
and will not be played in the upcoming 2024 Paris Games.
This has been the old ball game on Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM.
Back here at Don Tibbitts-Pater-Aren arena,
Radio for Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
What went right on that little run there for the Red Hawks school?
Is Trace Williams doing Trace William things in my opinion?
Big quarter of three.
A couple buckets, Chargers.
Looking to stop a little run here.
Up 37, 26 with four to play.
Out of bounds.
Last, going to be Red Hawk basketball.
Williams.
Bringing it up here.
Can he keep the run going for them?
Taylor with the ball, swings it to Jaden Lee.
Number one, Stuyber.
Up at the top.
Pull up, Middy.
No.
Rebound McWinney.
Chargers looking to push the basketball the other way.
finds Ruder in transition back to Woodham's
McCollum comes off the screen well defended there
Ruter's going to get it on the right wing
Ruter looking for something 18 on the shot clock
McWinney download post-touch Rooder
Rooder one-on-one with Williams Fader won't go tipped away
great play by Williams returned back to the Chargers seven to go
Wudams to the cop hit away foul
great foul there trying to prevent the basket
Got him on the arm
Woodham's going to go to the line for two.
A little sloppy, as you mentioned, there from the Chargers.
A little sloppy here for the Chargers.
We do not miss free throws.
That is for sure.
One thing about the Chargers is they are an elite team at the line.
See if Woodams can knock these in.
First one is up and good.
Makes your score 3826.
Chargers up 12 with 317 to play in this half.
Fans are pumped about the free t-shirts from the three-pointers.
I'm kind of mad we don't get one done to us.
I would love one up here in the booth.
For all the hard work we're doing.
Second one up and through for Wittams.
Makes your score 39, 26, 3 to play.
Ken Northwest respond with a big-time basket,
trying to cut this lead down.
Stein Hibler, top key, passes one around.
Number 13 there, Layton Barnes, takes it to the Cobb one.
And the foul, tough layup.
Good finish inside foul.
I'm a cullin there, trying to go for the block.
Great job using the body there by number 13.
Leading by.
Three left.
Northquish.
Trying to cut the lead here.
To go into half.
3-1 is no good.
39, 28.
Chargers still up 11.
McWinney at the point.
Going to find Router.
Roodham's.
Woodham's around the key, dribbling.
Takes the one-on-one to the cup.
Top finish inside.
Good.
Way too easy.
Not a very good defense here from Northwest.
Tried to have the help side there.
He just couldn't get there.
13 Layden Barnes.
On McCollum, one-on-one, taking it, screen.
Jenkins, no.
Rejects it, corner.
Stein Hibler, going to bring it out.
Kicks one to Taylor and back to their man, Williams.
Can he go ISO here on Woodhams?
Takes it to the middle of the cup.
Right foot, lay up, no.
Stein Hibbler with a big rebound.
McWinney on him, jumps, pump.
No good.
Tough rebound by the Chargers.
Going to go out of those?
No, McCollum saves it.
What do they call that $100 move, 10-sit finish?
That's what they call it here, I think.
Call them.
Nearside, Yerian.
Good dish inside, Woodham's one-on-one.
Going to find McWenny to the cup.
Floater.
Good.
A lot of easy shots coming from Hillsdale, Gordy.
Northwest's not playing the best of defense right now.
Your score, 43, 28, 148 to play.
Chargers taking a big lead here.
Need a response from Northwest.
Taylor Wing, back to Williams, pumps.
Taking a tough drive.
Woodham's good D.
Good.
Tough bucket from Williams.
That's what he does, 43, 130, 130 to play.
If Northwest can't get some stops on defense, this game couldn't get out of hand.
Timeout Chargers.
You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
I'm still Gordy.
And I'm probably so cold.
The Making of America from the Jefferson Media Group.
In 1980, Soviet troops invaded Afghanistan straining relations between the United States and the then Soviet Union.
That same year, the Winter Olympics were taking place at Lake Placid, New York,
where the U.S. and Soviet hockey teams faced off for the Olympic gold.
The U.S. team was the youngest.
Welcome back here.
I have the timeout for the Chargers trying to get a good look.
Your score 43.30, 1.30 to play in this half.
What do you like from the Chargers going around a little run there?
I mean, there's getting a lot of easy buckets. Northwest, not playing great defense.
That needs to change.
Very clued before Northwest.
They want to say in this ballgame.
One thing about Northwest here in the second half, I need to figure out who they want out there.
Guys seem to be a little tired.
Ritter to Yerian, top key, back to Janowski.
Started the game off hot.
Down to Yerian, one-on-one swing-pass Router.
Drives middle.
Kick out Woodhams.
Taking the one-on-one with the left, no good.
Tipped around, rebound Williams.
Coming back the other way.
Williams to the Cup, nothing.
Swings it out.
Layden Barnes, one-on-one on Woodham's.
Tough take, good.
Nice bucket from Barnes there, Northwest.
43, 32.
Chargers up 11 with 56, hoping for a 2-for-1 here.
Janowski gets the screen from Yerian, pull-up Middy,
pumps.
Takes it, round the arc, swing,
looking for something.
Yarian with a good screen.
Woodham's top key, pumps.
McCollum corner three ball no good
gets his own rebound floater McCollum good
the back board for the Chargers is working in a night
great rebound thereby McCollum gets his own
follows his shot good it appears Northwest here
gonna hold it for the last shot Williams looking for something
defensive chance raining out here Don Tibbert's Potter Arena
Ken Williams find a bucket to cut the lead it's 45 32
10 to go 7 to go tipped away stolen away stolen
by Reuter. Four seconds. Lobs
one deep to McCallum, his layup good.
What an end to the half,
you're Gordon. Chargers are
going to take the lead 47, 32.
That is halftime here.
You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7
FM, Hillsdale Basketball.
And I am Cole Canter.
I'm still Gordy. And we have a special guest closing
out the half here.
Cossacks.
And welcome back to Radio Free Hillsdale
101.7 FM. You're listening
into Charger Basketball.
Cole, what are the keys in the second half?
For Hillsdale, I think driving more and then finding open threes.
You don't got to force too many shots.
You're up 15.
And for the northwest, get the ball to Trace Williams.
I mean, he's the only one really scoring for the ball club right now.
Get the ball in his hands.
Let him do Trace Williams things.
Yeah, a couple stats for you guys.
Fill you in, Trace Williams with 11.
We mentioned him.
Great player, 11 at the half.
Interesting to note to him and Anthony Taylor pretty much played the whole first half.
Other guys, notable Anthony Taylor, as we mentioned, was seven.
For the Chargers, a lot of spread out scoring, but Charles Woodhams with the high with 14,
Ashtonowski with 12, and Mikey McCollum with 9.
One thing that we mentioned key to a game, make your threes, Hillsdale, only five for 14, but still up 15.
Sure, another interesting statistic is all of the.
Northwest players who have played in the game of a minus plus minus ratio and that is not good for a team
yeah they are looking for a little bit of a scoring threat and someone who can play a little bit of
defense they've not had much a lot of easy buckets chargers on pace for almost a hundred should be
a fun second half keys that I have just for the chargers like cole mentioned keep getting good
shots and taking them and they just keep playing tough defense Williams is going to get his at some point but
him shoot tough shots it's five for eight so just keep forcing that ISO ball that we saw from
northwest in the first half here come your chargers out of the tunnel 3 30 until the start of the
second half I heard if charges hit 100 everyone gets three chick for it might be spreading propaganda
but I'll tell you what I'll spread it that would be huge the chargers are looking for that big 100 bomb
twice in a row here at home.
And they've been playing really well as of late,
trying to close out that out-of-conference schedule
with the best of their ability.
Sure.
They have one more non-conference game after this,
and then they opened up G-Mack, play with OD.
Take a minute for our listeners to go check out the Wolfpack podcast.
It includes me and Cole.
Great time to shout that out.
Colin and Reid, it is a fun little podcast every Wednesday.
out on the radio and if you have
Instagram make sure to give the Wolfpack
pot, Instagram will follow
as well. Vote on our polls. We do
fun drafts every week, hotly
contested.
It should be fun if you tune in for
you so we would love
if you like listening to us, try it.
We try to bring us out as people's
faces on the daily.
Let's see if the
Chargers, looks like they'll be
bound probably the same guys that's
the start of the first half.
Should be an exciting one up 15, but that can close quickly when you have a player like Trace Williams.
Yeah, we saw it in the half.
They made a little comeback.
The shrink the lead going into half.
One thing I've noticed that has been huge for the Chargers is their ability to just,
whenever we feel like Northwest is going to go on a little run, keeping that lead at 10.
Yeah.
Don't let it get under 10.
It'd be interesting to see if we see any defensive changes from Northwest, maybe press, maybe the zone.
and they've stuck to a strict man to man.
And the dribble drive has been great for the Chargers.
That's why it was one of my keys in the game where I like to see from Hillsdale at the beginning of the game.
And they have been doing that extremely well.
I like the way Janowski is playing.
I love the way Woodhams is to fight here tonight.
Yeah, those are two guys that each, I mean, I think that Woodhams has, yeah, he's got two threes, Janowski with none.
Just two guys getting to the cup.
Fun to note, Janowski, six or six from the field?
Sure.
Yeah, he's been hot all night.
Not too many misses for him.
None at all, actually.
None at all.
Not at all.
Yeah, the Chargers shooting overall.
Pretty solid.
19 of 37 at 51%.
Great percentage, honestly, for the Northwest 12 of 24,
there are just a lot of turnovers.
For them, turnovers at 10, the Chargers only two.
It's been a huge difference maker in transition buckets.
But I tell you what, when Northwest does get in transition,
they have i mean they have five points on fast breaks so charges only have 10 mostly done by trace
williams another thing to note that is interesting is the bench points um indiana northwest with
three hillsdale with 13 yeah not not a large rotation for northwest there's only been seven guys i
think seven or eight guys who played big minutes another thing to note too just running through the stats
points off turnovers we said that a lot
Hilldale's 15
and Indiana Northwest has zero
that is the difference in the game right now
15 points pretty crazy
stat there for you Chargers capitalizing
off the turnovers they're getting
not too many offense rebounds for both
teams Woodham did have two in a row
in that little
miss rebound miss rebound
make McCollum with one to finish the half
and that crazy end of the half layup
starting off. Chargers rolling out with Janowski, big wreck, Joe Grutter, Logan Beeson, and Charles Woodham's going to be, it's going to be Indiana ball to start off. Their guy, top key. Finding over the ball, swinging it. Jalen Jennings, looking for something here. Taylor, over to Williams, back to Jennings, top of the key. Back cut, no good. Looking for something here. 15 on the shot clock. Williams goes ISO, kicks it to the corner. Taylor.
Corner three, good. Way to start the half for Northwest.
That makes your score, 47, 35, needed a bucket there. They got it.
Woodhams, over to Beeson on the wing. Big Rick, top of the key, coming off the screen,
Woodhams. Assess of the defense. Back inside to Big Rick, spin, turn wide, open layup. Good.
That's a big man, board. That's a huge finish down low, 49, 35. Chargers up.
back to Williams struggling
that ankle
looks like it's bothering him a bit
that was not willing
step back late in Barnes
deep one won't go
I'm gonna say that was a bad shot
I think that's fair corner to Beeson
on the break the Chargers looking for a quick one
Joe Ruter on the wing
Beeson
looking assessing fines big Rick down low
bringing the double kickout Ruter
back down to big Rick
trying to take over kickout Bison
swinging it corner Janowski
A couple crossovers kicks it to the corner, rudder, pumps, take kick, great ball move from the Chargers.
Three B, sin, no.
Tipped up, rebound by Jennings.
Even though it was a miss shot, I love that offensive possession.
A lot of dribble kicks, finding open guys for a wide open three, just didn't fall in.
49, 35, chargers still up.
Looking for some offense here in Northwest.
Taylor, dribble crossover, kick to the corner.
Puck, fake got him.
Jennings kicks it down low. Great pass. Good finish.
22. Caleb Jenkins is going to make it 49-37.
Nice pass by Jennings there.
Two big fellas working a little two-man game.
Cut the lead to 12. Woodham's on the wing.
Looking for something screened down for Bison.
Janowski gets it in the middle. A little middy. That's his game. Good.
That is his game, Gordon. You are right.
Seven for seven. Isn't that fun? 51.37. Chargers responding when they need
back up top Williams to the big fella.
Jennings kicks it over to Taylor.
Back to Jennings.
Down low.
Can Jennings find something on Big Rick?
Takes him on the post, turn around, fakes it from the logo Williams.
Oh my!
From deep!
That is a Logo 3, 5140 big shot from a big player there.
Chargers.
Surters looking to respond. Big Rick gets it top key.
Down low, Janowski drives, doubled, gets around it.
Kicks one out to Woodham's.
Woodham's going to drive.
Knox one off, Router, corner, tray ball.
Good.
Corner three.
Great shot, great kick.
Router with a 3, 54, 40.
Chargers once again, respond.
Joe's been Monday from the corner tonight.
Williams looking for the post touch.
Yep, that's a foul.
Janowski all over
Anthony Taylor's back there
Yeah try to prevent the
Post touch try to front him
Not gonna work there
Big Rick's gonna sub out for
CJ Yerian
Charters up 54 40, 16
45 to play out of bounds
From the baseline Williams scans
Looking for someone
Finds the big man Jenkins has to fight for
Got it top of the key
Layton Barnes
Barnes going
Isso on Beeson looking for something
Takes one fumbles the ball
Great hustle by Rooter but he's out of bounds
Good hustle by Joe there
Coaches love to see that
Yeah you do even a star player like him
Put it on the floor that's huge for the Chargers
Out of bounds
Nine seconds left on the shot clock still up 5440
Basket here would go a long ways for
Red Hawks is you do not want this thing to slip towards 20
Yeah charges up 14
here. Williams to Barnes.
It's a big man. Three. Won't go. Jenkins
no. Out of bounds off the Chargers. Shot clock resets to 20.
Unique shot there. I didn't know Jalen Jennings had that. He hit one earlier in the game,
so he thought might as well. Tested it late in the shot clock didn't go.
Chargers unable to corral the rebound. Sideline out of bounds here for Williams.
Quick one into Jenkins. Jenkins going ISO on the area and back to Jennings.
Jennings on.
Ruder, Ruter rips it from him, and he's going to hold the ball with his foot.
I tried to hold the ball there, so no one else could get it with his foot.
Interesting play there by Jennings.
That's going to be a kick ball.
It didn't really kick it, just kind of pinned it to the floor, but Ruter.
Uffsad he couldn't get the break.
You still cannot do that.
That is still against the rules.
And inbound here to Janowski.
Chargers up 14.
Looking for something here.
Good pass.
Janowski Middy, that's his game.
Has it missed.
8 for 8, why not?
Storyline of tonight.
5640, Janowski is on fire.
Yeah, he is.
Eight for eight.
What a ball game he's having.
Williams, struggling it up.
Him and Taylor trying to run that two-man game,
two of their highest scores.
Dumps it down low to Taylor.
One-on-one on Janowski, takes it right hand.
Good.
That it will be a travel.
Good call there.
Good find by Cole.
That's going to take us to immediate timeout.
You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale,
101.1.7 FM, Hillsdale basketball.
I'm still Gorton.
Cole hit her.
Is the car all packed?
Yep.
Camping gear?
Check.
Smoors and hot dogs?
Check.

Well, we won't be needing that
because you can still get all of Radio Free Hillsdale's great shows and features online at Radiofreehillsdale.com
under the student shows and features tab or wherever you get your podcast.
Anytime, anywhere.
All right then.
Let's hit the road.
Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM.
Charger basketball up 5640.
Cole, what are they talking about in the huddle?
Get the ball to trace movies.
That's all I got said.
Get the ball in that kid.
That is the key for Indiana Northwest.
That logo three, I mean, I want the charges to win, but that was fun.
That was a crazy shot.
That was almost from the logo.
For our younger listeners, lamello ball-esque.
Chor Chino Hills.
People remember that.
Yeah.
If you weren't there for that,
You missed out.
Charger basketball here going the other way.
Indiana Northwest setting up that defense,
and we will see what they got in store for the Chargers.
Ruger taking it out, out of bounds to Janowski.
Story of the night, eight for eight.
Don't want to jinx it.
I think we already did.
He's been Mr. Unlimited.
That mid-range has been his game.
Yeah, it has.
Janowski, Drevel ended up, and here we go.
Back on our way with 550.
1550, sorry to play.
McCollum to Janowski, screen.
Yerian, look at a post up.
Janowski said, I'll take it.
Kicks one of the corner, McCollum.
Corner three ball, no.
Tough rebound by Yerian.
Chargers get it back.
Reset the offense, back down low.
Tipped around a couple times.
McCollum corrals it.
McCollum, Ruder to the wing.
Ruter with a pull-up mid.
No.
Yarian with a tip, no.
Bounced around, corralled by Taylor for Northwest.
Coming back the other way,
Williams, drive, floater.
Aaron shot, no good, rebound, Reuter.
High pace action here, Ruter, driving, taking left finish.
Nice left finish by Joe Ruter there.
58-40 Chargers expanding that lead.
Great job here. Taylor, looking for something.
Back to Williams.
Tough shot on the last possession didn't go.
Taylor with the box out down low, tough finish inside good.
You've got to get behind him.
You can't front him.
That leaves a wide open over the top.
Pass for a layup.
Make sure score 58, 42.
Good finish down low by Taylor.
Chargers are looking to respond.
Woodham's on the wing.
McCollum, top key.
Janowski drives, looking for something.
The midi wide open, can't give it to them.
No good.
First miss of the night.
Still 58-42.
Leiden Barnes, bringing it up.
Jennings.
Over to Williams.
A lot of players playing a lot of minutes for Northwest.
Leighton Barnes on the corner.
Taking it out, screened from Jenkins.
Step back, three ball, foul.
If you would have made that shot, Gord.
I would have went crazy.
Foul on Router, I believe, his third.
Step back three there from Barnes.
How do you feel about that shot?
I mean, he got a good little separation there.
I mean, that was a fourth shot,
but he got bailed out with the foul there, so no one was going to be bad about that.
Nope, he's got three of them here.
Your score, 58, 42, a chance to cut it to 13 for the Red Hawk.
The first one's up and no good.
Seems like the opposing teams can ever make a free throw when they play here.
That's a storyline to follow.
I mean, I've seen several games here, and teams have just not been successful at the free time.
He's going to miss another route or he's going to sub out with three files.
So is Janowski.
In for the Chargers is McWinnie and Garrett Bolte.
See if he can make one.
here this would be tough to go 0 for three on the freebies good 58 43 chargers up 14 to play here don tibbitts
ooh late barnes goes for the steel doesn't get it woodham's back on the wing corrals it bolty top of the key
mccullum scanning looking for a post touch mismatch down low cullum dribbling looking boltie on the wing
pumps pulls three no good yerry and
fights for the rebound won't get it but it's off barns hillsdale basketball with 20 on the shot clock
some tough shot right there i'll see some more ball of movement a little bit forced would you say
yeah it's a little force there McWenny to take the inbound down low wind it up in slam bony for both
ie 60 to 43 what a dunk in this place is going wild after that back door Williams
Oh, my Lord.
He made that?
That went through the bottom of the net, I believe.
I believe.
That was weird.
Not going to lie to you guys.
Fowled.
Going to the cup, Williams.
It called no basket.
It looked like it went in.
It looked like it went in, but it might have went through the bottom.
It looked like it went in.
He's looking for anything you can get right now.
Some aggressive takes to the cup.
Maybe not the best shots, but when you're that high level of a player, you can do that.
Going back to that baseline, out of bounds play from the Chargers,
that is very nice, nicely drawn up by Key.
Kevin Bradley, the head coach for Hillsdale Chargers.
I believe it's his second year with the Chargers.
Sure is.
And he's trying to keep up where previous coach left off.
John Tharp, new AD here at Hillsdale.
Great guy.
Your score, 60 to 45, made both.
Here we go.
The Chargers respond.
Up 15.
McWinney on the wing.
Woodham's.
Boltie, looking for something.
No.
Woodham's still surviving.
Boltey on the corner.
Glazer up top.
Woodham's.
Driving. Nice moves to the cup.
Blocked off the backboard.
Uh-oh.
Coming the other way.
Tough take there by Taylor's good.
Look I used to rise up for a dunk there.
60 to 47.
A nice little run here for Northwest.
Can the Chargers respond?
McGuney up top.
Bolty on the wing, drives baseline.
On Jenkins.
Looking for someone.
Finds McCullum three wing.

What a cut by Glazer.
Really nice cut, great find there by Boltie.
Glazer's just going to get two freebies.
Janowski checking back in for the Chargers.
I will bet the house that he makes both of these.
Cole is predicting both of them.
And you can have my future house, all my future earnings.
You can have it all.
First one, let's see if Cole is going to be poor.
On the line, Bangarang.
My boy, Glazer won't let me down.
There it is.
Number one for the church.
Chargers. Caleb Glazer. Number one in our hearts as well.
6147 Chargers.
Whenever there's a deficit, they seem to, they don't let it slip.
Nope. And the silence is for a reason. He missed the second there.
61.47, Cole, no comment there.
Zero comment.
Top of the key, lob pass into Williams. Oh my.
Going to lay it up there off the lob. Big finish. 61.49. Crawling.

Mikey. Pekolum tries to find Janowski tipped away by Nikki Flesher. Turnovers will be big

I think there's be a rule of change on the hands.
It's hard to play defense about putting your hands on it.
I agree. Checking in for Joe Ruter will be
Garibolki.
And for me in high school, it just depended on what
ref you got. Like, I'm always not having a hand on somebody.
Like, I just can't play divos off putting my
hands on their hip or something like that. There's got to be
a difference between the hand check and the hit and the push.
I know it's tough, but... Like, I can't, I can just go like that
and it'd be fine. Like, they're calling it.
Indiana Northwest ball. Corner, three ball,
Williams won't go.
