The following is a special presentation of WRFH Sports.
Crowd is roaring. It's a sold-out game here.
Takes the three.
It's outside to Tavon.
Tavon takes the three.
Got that one.
Back-to-back-back-3 is from the Chargers name.
Still Charger Basketball on Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM starts now.
Welcome to 101.1.7 FM, Radio Free Hillsdale.
For a special broadcast in Hillsdale Men's Basketball versus the Walsh Cavaliers,
projected starters for Hillsdale is Ashton Janakowski, number two, sophomore guard.
Number four, Charles Woodhams, number 22, Samuel of the Sioux, number 31, CJ Yerian, and number 33, Joe Ruder.
For Walsh, you have starters, number one, Kobe Mitchell, number 14, Colin McHale, number 21, Garrison, Cleaser.
Number 23, Zach Otto, and number 30, Nick Smith.
We should have a really good game today between the 10 and 5.
Chargers and the 11 and 3 Walsh Cavaliers. Walsh Cavaliers did win the conference last year,
but both the Chargers and the Walsh Cavaliers are currently five and three in conference play.
So we're really hoping for an exciting match.
And at home, Hilsville definitely is the advantage of the atmosphere.
But the stats-wise, shooting-wise, Walsh seems to have some of the advantages.
So it could be a really interesting game here as we're going to go to a short break as we go to the National Anthem.
Hello and welcome to special broadcast on Charger Basketball.
Walsh has won the tip against the Hillsdale Chargers.
We're watching men's basketball.
They're going to pass it out of bounds, though, really early.
Giving the possession back to Hillsdale, it's 0-0 with 20 minutes left.
Still in the first half as we've just begun the game.
Ashton Janikowski, going to take the ball up a little bit.
Walsh is in a press and his own press, kind of light press.
Hillsdale does break it, gets across half.
Moving around with Ashton Janikowski, she's going to pass it down to C.J. Yarian,
down in the post with 610 sophomore.
Hit it up on top of their best player, Joe Ruter,
least our highest point score.
One of the best athletes.
As unfortunately, C.J. Earing is going to pass out of bounds one step
in front of his intended target.
Giving Walsh, a basketball.
Really early here, we're going to need to see
Hillsdale shutdown number zero or number one, Kobe Mitchell.
Kobe Mitchell is the highest point scorer for the
five of the years, averaging 18.4 points
is going to have the ball.
top dribbled down and then pass it off to a teammate teammates loses the ball underneath the
basket dribbled out passed out and a score long two for number 21 garrison keezer
as waltz is now up 2 to 0 on hillstile fallout samueless too i'm just too i'm just jayarian
outside of the paint jo ruders shooting a three a little bit out of rhythm there and it
bumps off the rim and rolls out cavalier rebound they're going to give the ball
at Kobe Mitchell.
It's where they can get something going really early.
You seem to be trying to create space for him.
I'm going to give him some opportunities to go one-on-one if he wants.
He's going to pass it off to number 21.
Hale Beezer.
21 is going to dribble down.
Back out to Kobe and Kobe Mitchell with the three.
A little bit of a fadeaway there.
Great shot by Kobe Mitchell.
Those are going to definitely need to limit that later on as we go.
Ball's up to Sanoosu.
Around the arc.
Ashton Janna Cowsy's going to shoot a three.
And it's going to take a long rebound, but bounce out to Kobe Mitchell.
Joe, passing down to number 23.
Zach Otto.
And Zach Odo gets blocked by C.J. Arian.
Rebound.
Charles Woodhams.
He's going to take it down.
They're going to set up the offense here in the side.
Getting the ball.
The big man in the paint.
C.J. Arian, back out to Woodham's.
Whatims for three and it hits off the backboard.
Not a shot, but Woodham's wanted it.
Walsh is going to go down.
And in a fast break, hit number 14, Column Hale,
and he's going to make the layup.
Open up Walsh to an early 7-0 lead.
Not something that Hillsdale is going to want.
Yeah, Walsh getting some work in early here.
So what are some points of emphasis that you see down the stretch for Hillsdale?
Because they're both good teams.
But what are some points of emphasis that you see already developing where Hillsdale needs to improve?
Definitely need to limit Kobe Mitchell, the sophomore transfer from University of Akron.
He's their best player.
And as of right now, I think he has touched the ball on every position for sure.
And I think he has all their points and or assists so far.
I think he has both assists, the other two is shooting.
Yeah, Walsh is going to go to Mitchell early, obviously early,
and they're going to keep going to often throughout this game.
so make him tired, make his job hard.
No easy passing lanes, no easy dribbling lanes,
so it's going to get out of this short timeout,
as Hillsdale has already called a timeout.
So early in this game, because they are down 7 to 0 against Walsh.
Walsh, continuing to apply some light pressure.
Hillstall not super worried about it.
They're not super worried about it for Hillsdale.
They've once again beaten it easily and stuff the offense.
Joder on top of the key.
Passing out to, back out to Jol's.
Rooder. Ashton Janakowski on the top.
The Su is going to dribble around a little bit.
Kedayarian, get the ball at the top of the key. Ashton Danakowski dribbling in.
Four seconds on the shot clock and Janakowski takes a fadeaway jumper and misses.
Cavalier rebound.
Number 21 on Walsh with the ball.
Fadeaway shot, but it's going to miss it.
I was Garrison Heasler.
Mikey McComb is in the game for the Chargers.
number 21, freshman.
They're passed out to Joe Ruder.
Joe Ruehers going to dribble in and get blocked.
Blocked by number 30.
Nick Smith forward.
Hillsdale does maintain the possession, though.
Only eight seconds left in the shock clock.
Counting down, when he hit the ball in the hands of Ruder.
We were going to try to make something happen.
With pressure in his face and misses the shot, just rolls around there.
Hard shot, but with the shot clock, counting down,
I mean, that wasn't the worst shot you can take, right?
No, certainly not.
I mean, you got to take a shot eventually, right?
As Nick Smith puts two more on the board for Walsh.
Walsh taking a 9-0 lead here.
On the whole, Walsh's doing a very good job of disallowing Hillsdale to take easy shots.
They have some shooters, so that must have come up on film.
There's been a lot of pressure, though.
Nothing outside, even the outside of the arc, the three-pointers.
As Mikey McCollum is going to shoot three.
Finally, open up the scoring for Hilsdale with a three-pointer.
It is now 3 to 9 Hillsdale, 3 to 9 Walsh lead, excuse me, with 15 minutes and 20 seconds left on the game clock.
Walsh going to get the hands back in the ball.
Kobe Mitchell out to number 23, Zach Odo.
Otto dribbling on a little bit.
Giving it out to Garrison.
Garrison Kiesler, getting it in, taking a little fadeaway jumper, short shot, and he makes it.
11 to 3 Walsh lead
So then on the other side of the court
Walsh has done a very good job of creating open shots
They have had a few fast breaks right there
We just saw the fade away from number 21
Garrison Kiesler
Obviously that's something Hillsdale's gonna have to
Have to match up as we go down this trip
Yeah and if you look at it on the statute
It just looks like Walsh is shooting better
But really Walsh is making the shots more difficult
And getting easier shots
That's just so it is
Two seconds left on the shot clock for Hillsdale
They're going to get blocked and a shock-clock violation.
As we're going to go to a short media timeout.
You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
Welcome to the old ball game, where we talk about the past of America's favorite pastime.
I'm Tate Christensen.
Today we talk about the first night game played in the MLB.
In 1935, the Cincinnati Reds were a struggling team.
They could hardly draw a crowd, averaging about 2,000 fans per game.
The idea was presented to bring lights to see.
Cincinnati's Crawley Field in attempt to bring more fans to the game.
They thought that bringing in these lights would help the games to be played in the evening or
at night so that people could come when they were off work.
On May 24, 1935, a crowd of 20,422 fans gathered to watch the game between the Reds and the Phillies.
From Washington, D.C., Franklin D. Roosevelt flipped the ceremonial switch, and lights turned on
in Cincinnati, and the game was played. The Reds beat the Phillies two to one that night,
and later in 1935, seven more night games were held in Cincinnati. Night games were
later expanded to other teams in other cities.
This has been the old ballgame on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
You're listening to 101.1.7 FM, Radio Free Hillsdale.
Hillsdale, men's basketball, down early to Walsh Cavaliers, 11 to 3.
Walsh Cavaliers, currently just two for two on three point, or one for one on three
pointers, shooting technically 100%, but on just one shot.
As Hillsdale's one for four, and one for nine,
on field goes overall when Walsh is five for seven.
Walsh making a lot more easier shots because they're just generating better offense.
Walsh is going to take the basketball out to start after this media timeout,
getting the ball to number 14.
It just trimmed in.
Colin McHale back out to their best player, Kobe Mitchell.
Kobe Mitchell is going to charge into Mikey McCollum.
Great job by drawing the charge of Mikey McCollum, a freshman.
That's a great play right there.
I mean, getting the other team's best player a foul and taking away his points on an offensive session.
That's a gutsy play right there from a freshman, but draws the foul and Hillsdale gets the ball back.
Yeah, Hillsdale is going to pass it up to number 11.
Cole McQuinnie who's checked in.
Recently, Caleb Glazer also in the game now for the Chargers.
They're going to pass it back out to Col McKinney.
out to Joe Luter on the side, but only five seconds left.
There's a shot loss counting down.
Mikey McComb takes a deep three and he misses.
Now let me be one of those kind of rushed shots.
They didn't really have any openings there for the Chargers.
As Walls, she's going to pass down.
And then turn it over to Mikey McCollum
with the steel tipped by possibly Charles Woodham's, I think.
Found Akiel Glazer on the offensive end for the Chargers.
He's going to try to make something having down in the paint.
And he shoots a little fadeaway, but it missed.
Not a bad shot, though, right there.
Nope, using his size down low.
Gets up a little bit of a hook shot, just rolled in and out.
Yes.
Hilsdale is in-man defense.
Up number 14 as a ball.
Call on McHale.
Michael dribbling around a little bit out to Garrison Pleaser.
So they're going to call a foul on the floor against Charles Woodham's.
One thing we've seen developing a little bit, too, is Hillsdills.
time of possession. I mean, I feel like they've been
under 10 seconds on the shot clock almost every
time they've been on that side of the court, right? Yeah, but that's
partially because they're not generating any offense.
Exactly. So,
yeah, like we said already,
Walsh just not letting Hillsdale take the open shot.
No. And not
even letting them get a lot. I don't know if there's not a lot of
off ball movement for Hillsdale or if
Walsh is just covering it really well, but something
no opening's even offball here
for Hillsdale.
They're going to get the ball out. Number 11,
Aidan Satterfield.
It's Wall.
She's still at 11 to 3 with 12 minutes and 50 seconds left in the first half.
And a foul.
This time is going to be on Kiel Blazer of Hillsdale.
Team second foul, his first foul.
Still really early in this basketball game, though.
Although Hillsdale is down 11 to 3, definitely a lot of lot of time for some adjustments
and for just some shots to fall for that way.
Absolutely.
There's a lot of time to make adjustments, get some momentum going your way.
Plus Hillstale's got home court advantage, right?
Yeah, the crowd's going to have to get into this one pretty soon here.
That's number one 21. 23.
Zach Odo takes a shot on Caleb Glazer, and he's going to make it.
He can get 13 to 3 for the Walsh Cavaliers.
Samo of Sue, Chulma Quinnney.
Hoseill, moving the ball around a little bit to the ball,
and the highest point score at Joe.
Rooters, he's going to shoot a three, and he's going to miss.
I mean, the openings have been far and few between.
There was an opening, but you know, you're not going to make every shot.
But now looking good for them as Humber 11 on the other side, Aden Satterfield makes the
three-pointer.
Walsh is just feeding off each other now.
They're making shots left and right.
Big men using their size really well down in the paint, and then the guards making it happen
out wide.
As we're going to go to a short video timeout, you'll see to 1.1.7 effect.
ready for aelstone.
I'm Joshua Palladino, a PhD candidate at Hillsdale College.
Here's Hillsdale College Master's student Andrew Pierce,
with a quote from the 16th president of the United States.
Abraham Lincoln in his temperance society address said,
when the conduct of men is designed to be influenced,
persuasion, kind, unassuming persuasion,
should ever be adopted.
It is an old and a true maxim that a drop of honey
catches more flies than a gallon of gall.
If you would win a man to your cause, first convince him that you are his sincere friend.
Therein is a drop of honey that catches his heart, which, say what he will,
is the great high road to his reason, and which, when once gained,
you will find but little trouble in convincing his judgment of the justice of your cause
if indeed that cause really be a just one.
Holesdale College pursuing truth, defending liberty since 1844.
Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM, listening to Hillsdale men's basketballs.
They're taking on the Walsh Cavaliers.
Walsh Cavaliers currently on an early lead to Hillsdale, 16 to 3 with 11 minutes and 54 seconds left.
In the first half as we come out of our second media timeout.
Hillsdale, another chance to talk it over, maybe make some adjustments.
Check some new guys in as Garrett Bullsie is going to get into the game here for the Chargers.
Walsh is making a light press, but that hasn't seemed to have any effect in the game.
It's really just Walsh.
creating open shots on defense and playing tight defense inside of the yard
going to get the ball up to number 35 Eric Redzikovic he's going to be fouled by the
walsh cavaliers the foul is on number 23 Zach Odo his first team second this
hill still is going to get the ball back out of bounds for the Chargers with 20 seconds left
reset in the shot clock taking on the baseline
Hilslow sets up in a diamond-type formation to beat this man in defense.
So not finding any opening.
He's just going to have to toss it out to Sam the Sioux.
Up to Ashton Janikowski.
Heelsso sets up the offense, getting it out to Erichritsnikovic outside the paint.
Air Bolton makes a nice move, but Walsh crashes down on him,
kicks it out to San Luis.
Six seconds left on the shot clock as Wittam's has the ball.
Two seconds left in the shot clock, Wendom's making it illogical shot.
is the shot clock is going to hit zero because the ball does not hit the rim.
Another great defensive stand by the Walsh Cavaliers,
making it really tough for this Chargers team to get open shots.
Absolutely, yeah.
And we've, I mean, we've said it before that obviously Walsh just is making it tough
for Hillsdale to take open shots.
The only way to fix that is, as Hillsdale,
is just take the open shots when they come.
Yeah, number one, Kobe Mitchell is going to take another,
two-point shot and make it
a very long two-pointer. I think he might have thought
he was outside the arc, but definitely that foot was on the
line. He does make the
shot, so the points still count us.
Walsh is now leading Hillsdale 18 to
3 early in this ball game.
Hils still going to need to start making this up early.
You're not want to get
in too big of a hole against the
reigning GMAC champions for Walsh Cavaliers.
So again, pass it out to number 24,
Garrett Bolton.
Up to Ashtonikowski with two seconds left in the shot clock.
Assygenikowski does put up a shot, hits the rim.
Rizikovic, with the rebound,
Rizikovic's going to put it up and get fouled.
So he's going to be shooting two shots here,
an opportunity for Hillsdale to get their second bucket of the game.
Maybe something they need a little bit of momentum,
even in just these free throws.
Two very important free throws here.
This game, not to get out of reach too early.
Sometimes that's how you work your way back in, right?
You just take what the other team gives you,
take the easy stuff as he misses the first one.
Yeah, Ritzikovic, the 6-9 senior out of Brookfield, Wisconsin.
Currently shooting, let's see, he's shooting,
has not shot a free throw yet this season, so that's his first,
and he makes the second to get Hillsdale another point.
He is now one for two on free throws this game and for the season.
So there's first two free throws this season.
While speeding the press of Hillsdale,
setting up the offense, though,
Hilsel doesn't allow the easy basket.
Making himself the offense.
The ball's going to go to number 30.
Nick Smith.
Back after number one, Kobe Mitchell,
hands of their best player.
As now, Nick Smith has the size advantage in the paint.
But Charles Woodham's with some great help defense,
making it tough shots.
And he misses the shot because of such great defense.
Ashton Janakowski with the ball.
And Hilslow's offensive side, dribbling around a little bit.
That's down to Garrett Bullty.
down to Zykovic who takes shot, hook shot, but he does not fall.
He does have a size advantage down in that paint on the offensive and defensive end,
but not very helpful to him there.
Nick Smith is going to get the ball down in the paint on Rzikovic,
but we're going to make an illogical pass down to intercepted by Samo Vasu.
Hillsdale.
Now with the ball on the offensive end, out to Samo of the Sue.
Ashtonikowski.
They're both. He passing the ball around, really just trying to get anything going here.
Is there going to be a foul on number 30, Nick Smith?
Second foul.
Sorry, first foul of the game for Nick Smith.
Fourth foul for the team.
There's a chance that Hillsdale gets in the bonus this half, at least.
Yeah, yeah.
And that's obviously going to be helpful,
considering Walsh is doing a very good job of
shutting them down on the court you might as well take what they can give you
foul wise yes yes they're going to play great defense make them foul at least make them
exactly get them in some trouble maybe later maybe something that had to worry about but right now
just just get some get some shots up still down 18 to 4 it will he'll still is
is joker's going to shoot a three and it's going to rim out hit both the inside of both sides
of the rim and then fall out of the basket I like that shot though
you know it's uh it it was contested a little bit but you might as well to get something up you know
nothing's working get some shots up and see what goes in yeah is the erin is going to get the steal
on nick smith hills still now on offense because erian has the ball at the top of the key maybe not
where he wants it such a guy with such big size advantage here they really make it hard for him
and number 21
Mikey McCollum is going to make the jump shot
now 6 to 8 18 to 6
Hillsdale Hillsdale still down by a large amount
but now on a 3-0 run at least
first run we've seen first time we've seen
Hillsdale score multiple times
in a row in a row so
good little bit of momentum shift at least here
crowd starting to get into it a little bit more
and it's Kobe Mitchell
and I have the ball at the top of the key
with only six seconds left on the shot clock
put up a wow what a layup by Kobe Smith now 20 to 6 Walsh lead it's just a a great shot
time bearing down in the shock block and he makes a great dribble if Mikey McComb is going to
shoot the three and unfortunately it's going to rim out there though by McCollum
ball in hands of number two Milan Square out of Nolan Smith Nolan Smith's going to miss
Let's show it.
The shot.
Fall out of bounds.
Off of Joe Routers,
we're going to go to a short media timeout.
I'll listen to 101.1.1.7 FM, ready for Yelsdale.
Welcome to the Astro Minute,
where we're exploring the universe 60 seconds at a time.
I'm Lauren Smith, and today we're excited about a month of meteors.
Each year, while planet Earth illuminates Christmas lights,
major meteor showers illuminate the November night sky.
In 2023, three showers will fill the month.
First come the Torids, streaming from the direction of Taurus in the south and east, peaking November 12th.
Next are the spectacular Leonids appearing from the direction of Leo in the north and east,
peaking November 18th.
And the finale, a second Orionids, radiating from the direction of Orion in the south and east
and peaking November 28th.
Remember that meteors can be seen for weeks before and after peak dates,
so on any clear November night, bundle up and scan the sky for these dazzling astronomers.
lights. And that's your Astro Minute.
I said, I'm okay. You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM as the Hillsdale
Chargers are currently down 20 to 6 to the Walsh Cavaliers. But in good news this week,
which is not what this broadcast is about, but something that I think we need to talk about
is that the Lions won a playoff game. Absolutely. Lions, they won again. Lions won again.
when when something happens for the first time in 32 years you're allowed to talk about it as much as you want it's historic i was not alive the last time they won a playoff game i am that young people so
waltz going to get the ball out and unfortunately hillsdale losing right now but big win for the alliance this week absolutely
so they're going to get the ball out garrison pizer up to square square is going to shoot the three
and make it. I think
that, yes, Walsh is 3
for 3 at 3 pointers,
and Hillsdale is 1 for 7
shooting.
Big difference in this game. Of course, a couple of those
for Hillsdale were contested. The Walsh ones were
all open, but still a big difference in shooting
there is there's going to be an off ball foul
at number 2, Milan Square.
Hillsdale, getting the ball
under the basket once again.
Another foul there from
from Walsh's the fouls are 5 to 2
in Hillsdale's favor so the
score might not be in their favor but at least
the fouls are they're not doing everything
there's some things that are going their way for sure
and like we've already said
foul shots are going to be
foul shots are going to be you know crucial for Hillsdale
they're not going to catch up on foul shots
but if they can take them they need
they need to because obviously the field goal
differential right here is
ice blums is
dribble it down
missed a shot. Cavalers get the rebound and number 14. Colin McAil. He makes the basket,
excuse me, number one, Kobe Mitchell makes the basket and gets the and one foul on Cole McQuinnie
number 11 of Hillsdale. So Walsh is now 11 for 15 from the field. Hillsdale is two for 19.
That's a big difference. I mean, yes, the shot selection is definitely also very different.
Absolutely. We've talked about that.
I mean, Walsh is just shooting better today.
Sometimes that will happen in basketball.
Some teams just shoot better.
That's why there's seven games in a basketball series.
As Walsh leads Hillsdale 26 to 6.
And probably what might be Hillsdale's biggest deficit of the season.
At least it's got to be up there.
Definitely the least amount of points we'd have at this point in the game.
Looking for some new offense.
Cuomo Quinn is going to shoot a three and unfortunately missed the shot.
ball's dribbled up
passed off to number one
Kobe Mitchell
which there's going to be
another foul this time on
on a off ball screen
by number 21 Garrison
Peter his second foul of the game
and the team sixth
Hillsdale I believe one more foul on Hillsdale
is in the bonus seven right in
knowledge basketball I believe so
I'm pretty sure it's seven although I'm not positive on that
don't quote me on that
Cole McQueenie dribbling the ball
up this is going to set up the offense
trying to get a lot of offball movement here you can tell trying to change things up a little bit
so you then get something new going that was still very young on the court right now a couple freshmen out
there just the one senior i believe in woodham's as ruder's going to dribbled in and make a basket
joe ruder finally finally starting to get going finally taking into the hole he shot a lot of
threes today unfortunately although as good of a three three point shooter as he is it's not
connected but good to see him finally get his points today as walsh is going to be dribbling the ball around
with milan square passing out to number 23 Zach otto odo picking on killed glazer
glazer playing some night defense missed the shot but otto's going to get his own rebound
pass it off to number 14 Colin macaille and macaille makes the layup bringing the score 28 to
eight with four minutes left in this first half
When shots aren't falling, the one thing you need to do is get more shots up, right?
So for the other team to have three offensive rebounds is not ideal.
No, and then number 21 of Hillsdale.
Mikey McCollum, the freshman, going to hit a three-pointer, bringing the lead down from to 28 to 11 now.
And some momentum is this crowd starting to get into the game once again,
as there's going to be a foul on the floor on Cole McQuinnie.
His second is he's going to be a foul on the floor on Cole McQuinnney.
second is he's going to check out of the game from that foul. Ashton Janakowski,
checking back in.
Number two with the ball. Passing in, Nolan Square for the Cavaliers.
Passed in to Kobe Mitchell. Their ball handler, their guy who usually is the ball.
It's going to be a foul on Ashton Jukowski. It's Hillsdale. Two fouls in one possession.
Fowl number five on them in total.
Only Jukowski's first foul, though.
She's not in any trouble at all.
Hillsdale probably trying to stay ahead in the bonus here, so.
Yeah, but you've got to be aggressive at some point, right?
Yeah.
Odo, passing off.
It tells him's going to play some great defense.
And the tip is going to go off number two, Milan Square for the rebounds.
And it's going to be Hillsdale basketball.
We're going to go to immediate timeout.

You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM,
as Hillsdale is currently losing to Walsh,
28 to 11 with three minutes at 15.
51 seconds left in the first half.
Hillsdale has a slow start, probably their slow start of the season.
Hillsdale does have the ball, though, have position right now.
As well, just getting back into that little bit of a light press,
although Hillsdale has had no trouble with as of yet.
Hasn't been the price.
It's just been the perimeter defense, the defense in their own half.
Hillsville has had a trouble getting good shots off on.
Ashton Jukowski, giving it up to Joe Ruder.
out to McComb, McComb,
out to go out to Glaser.
Hillsdale trying to move the ball around,
trying to get somebody open.
There's eight seconds left in the shot clock.
Joe Ruer is going to shoot another three and miss.
Ball, out of bounds, off the rebound.
It's going to be Walsh basketball.
Definitely, Ruder really trying to get himself going in the first point shots.
You can see some of the frustration from the Hillsdale players,
but it's just one of those nights.
It's got to keep chucking.
Yeah, Hillsdale has 11 points.
Joe Ruder, their highest points to do.
usually has two.
Their second highest point score,
Wadams has none.
And Mikey McCollum,
the freshman,
has eight points,
eight of the 11 points,
playing a great game himself,
although not a great team game so far for Hillstill.
Definitely they would like to be playing better right now
as the foul is going to be on number one,
Keel Blazer.
His second, he's going to check out of the basketball game.
Number one, Kobe Mitchell,
of Walsh with the ball.
Going to shoot the long three-pointer, and he's going to miss.
Play one, Mikey McCollum, the high-point score with the basketball,
dribbling around, getting in the paint, kicking it out to Ritzikovic.
One of the other people who have scored tonight.
Out to McCollum again.
McCollum making another shot, double digits for the freshman today.
Yes.
as he is really playing the best game out of anyone offensively,
at least for Hillsdale so far.
So at least he knows what's working, right?
He kind of made a drive there because he's bigger.
And that's good for Hillsdale.
Hillard's figuring out a matchup that's working for them.
That's big.
Unfortunately.
And then a shot by number 22, an attempted dunk by Aiden Carter is going to miss.
Actually kind of airballed that one there.
She's got away from him, yeah.
Everybody, the crowd reacted, started making a little bit of fun of him.
As Rizikovic's going to get the ball down in Hillsdale's end.
Zivikovic, with a left-handed little spin-around move.
As Hillsdale puts the game within 13 points.
Big difference from their 20.
They were just losing by just a minute and a half ago.
As Walsh is going to call a quick timeout, we're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale,
one-on-one.7 FM.
Yeah, some big things from this game.
Hillsdale currently down 28 to 15
shooting
definitely not been on Hillsdale side but shot selection
has not been as well for Hillsdale
some great defensive game by Walsh
Hillsdale's kept them in check
decently offensively I mean 28 points isn't
a whole lot you know that's nothing crazy right
no no yeah and yeah like you said
defensively it could be it's okay
it could be 35 to 15 very easily yeah they could let us
some they've made it difficult for walsh it's offensively that hillsdale has struggled against this
great walsh defense tonight and so that's something that hillsdale going into the half time
they know at least you know going into halftime what you need to fix you know that it's it's not
defensive problem it's all offensive problem is odo is going to shoot another three
the cavaliers are shooting 80 percent from the three point tonight four for five
absolutely wild some great shooting by them
But something they probably won't be able to keep up at least in the second half.
Ruder with the ball.
Out to Mikey McCollum, the high point score from tonight.
He's going to shoot three and rim out.
Trying to get the hot hand in the basketball,
and he takes a decent shot, but maybe would have liked a better look there.
But, I mean, when you get the hot hand in the basketball,
you know, good things can happen.
I mean, I think it's a good game plan for the last minute of the game.
But for the last minute of the half,
as number 14.
Colin McHale is going to shoot a fadeaway jumper
and Hillsville Elementary has slowed down.
They're currently losing 33 to 15
to the Walsh Cavaliers.
Ball up in the hands of Wittick.
Out to Ashton Gannikowski.
To Ruder.
Not a Woodham's Trout.
Moving the ball around.
Killsill is again.
Shot clock down to six.
Three.
Rooder is going to have to take a difficult shot.
Hit the rim.
and Hills is going to get the rebound back.
Put that 20 seconds back in the shot clock.
And a blocking foul on Walsh,
as Ruder does miss the shot,
but there's going to be a foul.
She's going to be shooting two free throws here.
And obviously for Hillsdale,
there's only 25 seconds left in this half,
but you want any momentum you can get, right?
Also, any points you can get.
Any points that you can get at all.
Very big.
Also a chance for Rudy here to kind of
maybe get his feet under him in this game a little bit.
Yeah, Joe Ruder.
struggled shooting three-pointers does have the one-two but one of hillsdale's best players one of
the best basketball players he'd get him going a little bit in the league as he's going to make his
first free throw he is an 80% free-throw shooter so he is makes way more than he misses makes way
more than he misses I might have put the announcer jinxed but he actually does make the second one
and I did not jinx him so we are good that rooter
Getting two more points, getting his feet under him a little bit,
going into the half.
There's 16 seconds left.
Walsh is going to hold onto the ball to try to get the last shot,
getting the ball up to Kobe Mitchell.
There's nine seconds left on the clock.
It's going into halftime.
Walsh, moving the ball around a little bit.
Two seconds left.
He's going to have to take a fade away three,
and he's going to miss.
Number 11, Aden Satterfield.
Walsh did not get an open shot at halftime.
So he'll still down,
big 33 to 17 but seems to be getting a little bit back into the game offensively at least
slowly definitely a better last four minutes there than they had the first 16 minutes definitely
true definitely true yes because we're going to halftime we're going to send you to a break
you're listening to radio free hillsdale 101.7 fm hello and welcome to one of one
1.7th Fem ready for Hillsdale back with charger basketball as Hillsdale is unfortunately down 33 to 17
going into the second half and get Joe Ruder kind of get an early basket misses though foul on Joe Ruder I think
going up for the rebound hillsdale at the end of that first half started to get a little bit of momentum
they were down by 20 points and the offense really wasn't moving at all and now finally I mean they're still down by quite
bit, but the offense started to get some momentum here. Yes. And hopefully, like you said,
we mentioned at the end of the last half, the last four minutes that they had were ended, ended,
ended rough. I think they scored more in those four minutes, though, offensively, and they had the first
16 minutes combined. Mikey McCollum, the freshman leading the team with 10 points, not their usual
points. And like we were saying, I didn't mean to cut you off, but like we were saying, at least Hillsdale went
into the half knowing exactly what was going wrong.
You know, they're just mission shots.
And the only way to do that is get more shots up.
Shot creation has been a big thing.
And, I mean, Hillsdale, they're fixable problems.
They're just going to have to get more shots up this half and hope they fall.
Walsh missed the shot on that position.
Hillsdale got the rebound.
Now moving the ball around a little bit, trying to get something going.
Once again, offensively like they did at the end of that second half,
against this tight Cavaliers defense.
Joe Ruter with another three-pointer trying to get going and it rims out.
That was a great in-rhythm shot though there by Router.
Sometimes, you know, not going to make every shot,
but I like that shot selection right there from Router,
trying to get himself going outside of three points.
As number one, Kobe Mitchell is going to open scoring in the second half
with a layup, a little spin-around move right there.
And obviously that's something Hillsdale is going to want to keep under wraps this semester as well.
is Cody Mitchell, who's Walsh's best player by far.
This semester.
They're going to keep it underwrapped this semester.
Is that what I said?
That is exactly what she said.
I meant half.
As Woodhams is going to shoot a three and make it for his first points of the game.
Charles Woodham's one of their highest points scores along with Joe Router for his first
points of the game with a free pointer right there.
That's Kobe Mitchell dribbling the ball around.
Passes it off.
Number 21, Garrison, Peacelaw.
Get the ball in the paint.
CJ Yerian, big defender.
Nick Smith throws it over him and makes the basket.
Those are currently down 37 to 20.
17 minutes left in the second half.
Ball up to St. Louis-Soo.
Down to Yerian.
Yerian, dribbling around a little bit.
Getting out of that paint.
Up to Router.
Ruder driving in.
Going to draw a foul.
Fowl is on number 30.
Nick Smith, his second.
And Joe Ruter is going to be shooting two free throws.
Already has two free throws this game.
Those are two of his four points.
See if you can sink these ones in.
Router.
Obviously, as you mentioned earlier, shooting 80% from the line.
He's a good bet when he gets there.
Yeah, he makes the first one, second one.
Got his rhythm.
Seems in rhythm, seems very calm at the line.
Been there before, and he makes the second one
is getting 4-4 from free throws,
which is good because his three-point shooting.
It's not been his best day today, for sure,
because he usually is a very good three-point shooter,
but he's not had a great day today outside of the arc,
so it's good to see him hit some from the free throw line.
Absolutely.
Owe Mitchell has the ball,
and there's going to be an off-ball foul
on number 31 C.J. Earian.
So Hillsdale, C.J. Earian, going to get his first foul of the game.
The 610 freshman, or 610? 6.10 sophomore, sorry. He's in my class.
Out of Ohio.
610 sophomore. He is huge. He is huge. Rebounding machine.
Some games leads the team in rebounds.
Clark's going to move down to seven second shot by.
And Walsh is going to make the basket.
39, 22. Walsh lead.
16 minutes and 40 seconds left to go in the second half.
Ashley Jekowski with a ball up top.
Passes down to St. Louis II.
Getting under the basket.
Passes down to Yarian.
He's going to get the end-one basket.
Basket is good.
Fowles in number 30.
Nick Smith is third.
as he is already beginning to be in a little bit of foul trouble right here
pretty early in the second half with 16 minutes and 31 seconds to go
and they're going to sub them out for number two Milan Square
who Yerian has even a bigger size advantage on
as Smith's only or square is 6-5 and Smith is 6-6
Yerian at the line and he makes the free throw
I can see him being at the line a lot
but he hasn't been as you know as much as as much as his size
would say he is at the line a lot because he is constantly under the basket drawing fouls.
Right. And so with Walsh back on offense here, I was going to say earlier that they need to keep
Cody Mitchell under wraps in the second half, not the second semester, although of course they will
play them again, I think. But he's their leading score today. So to contain him is going to be crucial.
Yeah, as Walsh is going to make another basket, putting them up 41 to 25, 15 minutes and 50 seconds.
taking a block to go but this hill's still offense at least getting some momentum as
jukowski's going to shoot it off the front of the rim for three points and a miss unfortunately
the ball is at the top of top of the key for walsh wall straddling it down number 21 garrison keeslar
keeslar with a blocking foul hezlar makes the and one basket against mikey mccolum
guy who's leading the team, freshman is leading the team in points for Hillsdale.
Unfortunately, he gets a foul.
We're going to go to a short media timeout.
You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM.
Yeah, I was just about a text, too.
That is mine.
I appreciate it.
Are you done down there?
Yeah, so Hillsdale currently down 43 to 25 against Walsh.
Walsh.
I mean, they've kept their lead, but Hillsdale, so Hilsdale,
So Hillstone made some good adjustments offensively.
Now in this first media timeout,
they're going to have to make some good adjustments defensively
because Walsh has been scoring this half
kind of just at will.
Yeah, Walsh has kept the pressure up on offense.
So, you know, Hillsdale needs to make shots.
Obviously, that's part of basketball.
Part of basketball is also defending the shots.
Yeah.
Right?
Offense and defense.
Exactly.
You don't get to choose on what half,
decide what half, which one you want.
want to play.
Exactly.
So we've already talked about shot selection hasn't been there for Hillsdale, but even
when it has been, stuff hasn't been falling.
Obviously Hillsdale just needs to make shots, more shots fall, but they need to do a better
job on the defensive side as well.
And keep this game within reach at least.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Very true.
As we're going to get back in to Hillsdale right here.
At the line for the Cavaliers, number 21.
Garrison Keyslar.
Harrison Keeslar.
So he's at the line right here.
Let's see.
How good of a shooter is he?
21.
He's actually just going to make it.
So I guess it doesn't matter how good of a...
He's a 71% shooter.
I'm not a little bit better than that.
But he does make the one free throw, the end one.
Walsh is up 44 to 25, 15 minutes and 18 seconds left in the second half.
As Charles Wims makes the basket.
and gets the and one.
That's good.
Another possible three-point possession here for the Chargers.
We keep seeing little glimmers of hope here for the Chargers.
Hoping something will come up this momentum-wise.
Yes, and now Garrison Kieslar,
Walsh's second-leaning score has three fouls as well.
So he's in a little bit of foul trouble now, two of their starters in foul trouble.
Number 21, and number 30, next next.
So as as Woodhams is going to make his free throw in rhythm,
Hill's still is now pressing up a little bit.
They're going to settle back into a zone defense here,
switching up the defense a little bit as it hadn't been working as of yet.
Out in a 2-3 type formation with a very high wing rotating a lot.
In this 2-3 zone defense, just trying to keep everybody in a man.
Three seconds left on a shock lock.
So-Sdil forces a bad shot.
but somehow it falls in for number 23 Zach Odo.
So the zone defense really did work there.
Got the shot clock down to three seconds,
but unfortunately Walsh just able to make a tough shot.
That's one of those things that you can't do much about as a defender, right?
Sometimes shots just go in.
You've got to control what you can control this.
Joe Booder is going to make a great move and finished with a layup,
making the score 46 to 30 Walsh.
He was going to settle back into that 2-3 defense.
hoping this time to move the shot clock down and not let Walsh score Walsh.
Now having to throw some kind of questionable passes here.
They're going to get a pick out for number 40, for number one.
Kobe.
And he's going to miss the three-pointer.
Rebound Charles Wittams.
Wittem's out to McCollum, who shoots the jumper.
The leading score for tonight's game hits another one.
Now with 12 points died with Walsh's leading score.
Kobe Mitchell bringing his score to 46 to 5.
32 with 13 minutes of 40 seconds left in the second half.
Hills still hoping to keep that momentum going a little bit.
It feels is going to tip the ball out of bounds.
This zone defense really seems to be working for them.
Now we'll see what they do here on the out of bounds play,
see if they go into a man really quickly.
But I think that the zone defense,
they might stick with this for a little while.
They are going to go to a man coming out of the out of bounds play.
Only 11 seconds left on the shot clock.
number 21 garrison keeslar has the ball
passing out's number 23 and a great steal by cole McQuinnney
dribbling the ball down in transition
now going to set up the offense
ball to Woodham's
out to McCollum
McCollum
leading a score for tonight's game getting the ball
in the hands of the hot hands
for the night
out to Woodham's was going to miss the three-pointer
Hill's Dill
Getting back into the man defense here
As
Wals might be wasting a little bit of clock here
Up so many points
In the middle of the second half
14 point deficit
As they're going to run the shot clock down to at least 10 here
Oh, they are starting
Trying to make a little bit of offense happen here
With number 21
He's going to miss the jumper
At Scarce in Kieslar
As Rueber's going to grab the rebound
Give McCleckney
The ball, sitting up
the offense for Hillsdale.
With just 12 minutes left in this game here and down was at 14 points, as Rooter makes the
reverse layup.
It's in a layup there.
Router's starting to get going on the two-point shots.
Both the three-point shots have not been falling for him.
That is not his only part of the game, and he is proving that here tonight that he is not
dependent on those three-point shots in order to be a great basketball player.
So as the crowd gets into a little bit and Hillsdale gains a little bit of momentum, I guess,
What do you think is their offensive strategy moving forward?
And Walsh is going to miss the three-pointer as they fall back into that two-three.
Get the ball in the hot hands.
Get the ball to Joe Ruter in space.
Joe Ruehers going to get a steel, jumping a steel.
Some momentum down the court.
And he's going to draw the foul.
On number 21, Garrison Kisler.
Kisler is now going to have four fouls, one of the best players for Wals.
Now with four foul with 11 minutes left to go.
As we are going to go to a short media timeout,
you'll listen to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.1.7 FM.

The score is currently 46 to 34. Walsh is leading Hillsdale, but Hillsdale really turned up some momentum.
I believe they are shooting.
Yes, Ruder will be shooting two free throws here, down 12 points.
This is the closest they've had deficits since that first half in the beginning of the game,
really.
Get the ball in the hands of your hot hands.
Joe Ruder and Mikey McCollum have been really turning it on in this.
second half and Mikey McCollum has had a great game really offensively overall defensively that
two three seems to be working really really well as they've only made one difficult shot as the clock
lined it down wall Chad so as we're just going to sink both free throws he'll still now man pressing
coming out of the coming out of the media timeout another update number 21 he's lar only or he has four fouls
He's one of the best players for Walsh.
So big thing that Hils still is really going to be able to keep him out of the game.
It's a deep three by number two.
Milan Square.
Maybe getting a little bit tired of this two-three is Hils was going to take the Ruff.
And Glazier's going to miss the Oop.
As Hils still had some momentum going there down the court, trying to go quick.
But they're going to settle back into this two-three.
Really starting to freak out Walsh as the crowd is getting into it.
As you can hear the chance of them shouting.
defense in the background.
Wall's finally going to score into that two, three.
But baskets are going to happen.
I think they stick with the two, three.
Rooter with a ball on the top of the key,
with another chance to shoot a three,
but not been as night.
He doesn't want.
Take that shot as of right now.
Not yet.
Still too early.
He's forcing shots.
When I was dribbling around,
getting down into the key.
Bakke's man down and you're going to take the contested two.
He tested layup, but misses it, unfortunately.
as it rolls around the rim and rolls out.
Yeah, I think Hillsdale took that timeout.
Their first time out they took with, I think, nine seconds left
as Kobe Mitchell sinks another three there,
making the score.
Another really deep three shot there by Walsh,
which is the only answer so far to this Hillsdale, 2,3.
The score is currently 52 to 36 Hillsdale,
with 10 minutes left in the second half.
What I was going to say was Hillsdale had the least.
lead the Rooter with the three.
Rooter with the three to answer.
First three of the game for a he made right there.
Big momentum shift as one of their best players
might be getting a little bit hot here.
Yeah, and I was just going to say that
I think from a mental standpoint,
Hillsdale can kind of look at it as they took that first time out
with down nine.
And at the time, it was just a breather.
It was just a chance to make some adjustments.
And so there's still nine minutes left in this game,
down 13.
the time to make some impact.
Yes,
Killsdale is going to get the rebound off of a deep
Walsh 3, another deep Walsh 3 this time
they missed.
This Walsh has only had the
deep 3 to answer from Killsdale's
2-3 defense.
Cole McQueen going to shoot a 3-pointer,
hits off the front of the rim,
rebound Kobe Mitchell.
As Mitchell is going to be taking the
ball up the floor.
Passing it out to
number 3, Murray, who checked
in for the guy with four foul
passing it down to Zach Odo
and Zach Odo is going to make the layout
as Hillsdale is going to take a timeout

Hillsdale Men's Basketball versus the Walsh Cavalier,
apparently down 15 points with eight minutes and 47 seconds left.
Heldell had us a little bit more momentum going here,
been able to keep it close.
But here is where they need a run.
They really need a run and they need it soon
in order to get back into this basketball game
and make it truly, truly competitive at the end of the game.
Walsh back into that light pressure.
Hillslow had no problem breaking.
Very light pressure.
You know, as they break it,
and those are just going to get stuff in the offense.
Oh, that's a Vesu.
That's a gariboulti who's checked in for the chargers.
Hesu.
Taking a little bit of the dribble.
Out to Rizikovic.
Zikovic.
There's a size advantage down in the pain.
Jackson Janikosky dribbles in
and he's going to make the layups
to bring the game within 13
those still back in that
2-3 defense which Walsh has not
been able to figure out as of yet
even those high hands
making it really hard for Walsh to get the ball
in the middle and finally do with
Jack Odo
get it back out and they missed the three-pointer
but rebound Odo
that is the one unfortunate thing about the
two-three is that sometimes
because you're not man-on-man not every guy
is going to have a man on him to box out.
So Zach Otto able to get the rebound and finish it.
Extending their lead, once again, Walsh's lead to 15.
An offensive rebound like that this late in the game hurts, obviously.
Especially when they get to score off of it.
Right.
Yeah, any second chance points are devastating to Hillsdale.
Hillsdale is going to get into a one-three-one defense now.
Different kind of zone.
Maybe settling back into that 2-3.
Looks like a two three now.
It looks really quickly there for the one three one.
Everybody is going to get backs out this time.
And Ritzikovic is going to grab the rebound off of Walser's three point.
Pass out to Ashton Janakowski.
Down of his two is.
Those doors moving the ball around.
Once again, Boltey dribbling it up to the top of the key.
Aosha Dukowski dribbling it in.
The sophomore takes a fadeaway jumper and it rolls out.
See those are the shots.
And it's a great shot right there.
That was a great shot selection.
And it's his type of shot, but it just doesn't fall tonight.
Right.
I was going to say the same thing.
That's an open basket.
Take it.
You can't control if it doesn't fall.
Yeah, sometimes when it's your shot, it's your shot.
Number one is going to shoot a number three-pointer.
Kobe Mitchell.
That one was deep, too.
Opens up this lead to 18 points.
Yes, deep threes.
I mean the only answer that Walsh just had for this two, three,
defense but unfortunately with ways waltz is shooting tonight as vassu takes a great drill
and makes a spin move and makes the layup basu basu basu i think it's vassu actually but basu is able to
get the points right though wall's taking their time a little bit here as the dick of it is actually on
the top of the two three no usually the big guys in the middle but they got rudder down in the middle and
they're rotating around.
Maybe, I think they just switched to a man,
mid-defensive session right there.
I think you're right.
This hostel's going to get the rebound off the shot.
Ashton Jukowski,
Joe building it around.
Joe Ruter, out to Garrett,
Boltey.
Heldale's trying to make a last stitch effort at this game,
currently down 16 points.
It's a little momentum as Ruder's going to take a shot
and it's going to rim out.
Once again, another great shot by Ruter
there that's just going to ram out of the basket very unfortunate timing for him that was that was a
great shot it was in rhythm it was wide open he made a great move to get there and it just is not falling
for them tonight and walsh is going to turn the ball over to vassu and vassu's going to get the and one
possibly what hills don't needed to get some momentum back there as basu jumps in front of a pass
a little bit of a slow pass there by walsh and we are going to go to a
short media timeout
and you listen to Radio Free Hillsdale

Stories of those who have been
awarded the Medal of Honor.
This is Minute of Honor.
Here's Jenna Suhita.
On October 29th,
1944, Private George Socato
and his platoon were attempting to take
Hill 617 near Biffington,
France, when Socato spotted
German machine guns at the top of the hill.
He alerted his unit, but the machine guns
began firing. His unit was pinned down,
and his friend standing nearby was hit.
Soccato was filled with anger as his friend died in his arms.
He began a one-man charge up the hill, killing 12 enemy soldiers.
His courageous charge inspired his platoon members to follow him up the hill.
Soccato took charge when his squad leader was killed,
and under his direction, the platoon captured 34 soldiers and took the hill.
By continuously ignoring enemy fire,
Sakato turned impending defeat into victory and helped his platoon complete its mission.
For his extraordinary heroism and devotion to duty on the morning of October 29th, 1944,
Private George Sicado was awarded the Medal of Honor.
This is Minute of Honor on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
As you listen to Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM,
Hillsdale charges are currently down 14 points, two walls.
A lot of shots just not falling for Hillsdale that usually do,
but a chance to put the game within 14 points for Vassu here is...
Vasu.
Vasu. Vassu. Vesu. Vesu. Very cool name.
as he's going to shoot a free throw right here.
And it rims out, unfortunately.
I think that's Hillsdale's first three throw of the night.
They have not had trouble shooting at the line,
just a lot of trouble shooting jump shots
that they usually do make for most of their stars.
Hilsills off back in a man defense.
In the ball to Cody Mitchell.
Mitchell, option number 21, Garrison, pleaser.
He's going to miss,
but Walsh is going to.
to grab the rebound number two
Milan Square with the rebound
offensive rebound is very bad for Hillsdale because
Walsh is just going to dribble them out
and take more time off this ticking
clock
Nikowski playing some great defense two seconds left
from the shot clock as Square is forced to
shoot and it hits the rim but it misses
and you're able to grab the rebound
Gakowski with the ball
Hillsdale got to get some quick offense here down
14 points don't have to force
shots not yet but
I get some quick shots is
Woodham's is going to do just that dribbling in
and getting a layup
and so the outside shots haven't
seemed to be working for Hillsdale so far
tonight but they've had a couple really
nice, they've had players make some
really nice drives pretty consistently
throughout the night. Vesu
and then the leading score
Mike and McCollum Woodham's there
so it looks like
that might have been the strategy here for the Chargers
yeah definitely the dribble drive
has been working for them and a three-pointer has not.
I've only shot 23% in three.
And the Erian is going to get a block.
Now he's going to triple down the court, trying to go with some speed.
Kick it out to Samo of Asu, though.
Samoosu, trying to get a quick point.
Gets out, back out to Yerian on the outside of the key.
Hillsdale, trying to make someone happen quickly here.
Definitely some urgency.
You can feel the urgency, but it hasn't quite gotten them to the basket.
The clock is still ticking down in nine seconds on the shock clock.
Router.
Not Rooders with a fadeaway shot.
And we are going to go to a short timeout
as Hillsdale puts the game within 10 points.
10 points, 59 to 49 with 3 minutes left to go
in the second half.
This is your radio for Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
I'm Joshua Palladino, a PhD candidate

Here's the preamble to the Constitution
of the United States.
people of the United States in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice,
ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare,
and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish
this Constitution for the United States of America. Nearly 140 years after the Constitution's
adoption, President Calvin Coolidge said, to live under the American Constitution is the greatest
political privilege that was ever accorded to the human race. Hillsdale College pursuing truth,
defending liberty since 1844. Anyways, right. Also, though, starting to press,
putting a double team on number one, Toby, and he's got, and there's going to be a foul call in
number 31, C.J. Yerian, as they almost were able to steal the ball away.
from the Cavaliers.
Three minutes, though.
Three minutes, still a lot of time.
Get some shots to fall, obviously.
It might be good to get a foul there
because you might need that in a minute
because they're not in the bonus yet.
Right.
Hillsdale.
Putting some pressure on,
forced to play some man defense here.
Two minutes and 43 seconds, down 10.
There's a ball's in the hands
of Colin Mitchell, the best player,
on the Walsh Cavaliers.
This is the most best player offensively.
He's going to make the layup.
Putting the game back 12 points.
Ruder, the ball for Hillsdale.
Up to Jakowski, you need to score quick.
This might be when you need to start forcing some shots,
maybe forcing some even three-point shots.
Even though they're not pretty shots,
sometimes you've just got to get shots up in a game like this.
Down late, late in the game.
Quillam's taking a fadeaway jumper.
Hillsdale fighting for the rebound with themselves.
Able to get the rebound, though.
Oszikowsky, fake shot, jumper, makes the...
But only two minutes left now, down 10 points.
And Hillsdale, unfortunately, he's going to get scored on by Milan Square.
They are pressing and double-teaming everything,
because at this point they kind of have to.
Wall's not having much trouble with that press there on the back end.
No.
We're with the three going to miss it, unfortunately,
giving Wall some time to take some clock down.
and unfortunately down 12 points
not looking great for Hillsdale right now
we're going to need a little bit of a miracle
but I've seen crazier things
hopes not quite out for Hillsdale yet
but it's not looking great down 12 points
to the minute's 14 seconds left
they're going to need a big steel
big momentum change here
so 21 for Walsh just going to make the basket
that might be it
Harrison Kieslar
minute and four seconds left
down 14 points
Hillsdale is
that might have been it right there.
Router going to get a three-pointer up, and he's going to make it this time.
Another three-pointer for Joe Ruter, Hillsdale, continuing to press.
Wallace going to call the timeout.
We're still down alone with 53 seconds left.
Yes, we're going to go to a short media timeout.

To read your free Hillsdale, 1-1.7 FM, we're going to get back to Hillsdale basketball.
They're currently down 67 to 56, at 43 seconds left.
Looking really, looking not great for the chargers against such a tough opponent.
Downs too quick, too early.
I feel a little bit too bad to come back.
Wallace is just going to dribble it around here.
Waste the timeout in this possession.
Up 11 points.
Hilsill's still letting them dribble it out.
It's going to be still 10 seconds left on the clock-ish.
But this game's over a little bit.
And we're just going to have to talk about how Hilsfield was in this game in the second half.
Is Mikey McCollum is going to get a shot.
up and score again adding to his great night as a freshman 14 points as a freshman big game for him
even though not a great game for the team absolutely and joe ruder made a little bit of a comeback toward
the end joe ruder with eight finishing with 18 points only either two or four points in the first half
and so he'll still off to such a slow start at one point it was like six to six to 30 something
they were able to make a comeback they can definitely hang with this walsh team but
going to need to shoot better next time.
Going to need to not come out with such a slow start as Walsh is going to dribble the ball out.
And your final is 67 to 58 Walsh Cavaliers defeat the Hillsdale charters and men's basketball.
