Today, I'm bringing you a special guest to talk about a current sports scandal. Please welcome Jaden Camero. Hey, Adi, thanks for having me. So, Shohay Otani, he is regarded, he's a member of the LA Dodgers. He was just traded from the Los Angeles Angels. And he is supposed to be regarded as the next babe Ruth.

But recently, as of nine days ago on March 20th, he and his representatives accused his longtime interpreter and close friend of stealing his money up to $4.5 million and using it to bet on sports. He accused him on March 20th. So what are the consequences of the sports betting incident? So sports betting in California in general is illegal. So for the translator who bet, he will more than likely get either highly fined or arrested. It's still under investigation. They're still kind of working on it. But the biggest thing is, Otani claims to have zero knowledge of it.

But $4.5 million disappeared from his account. The biggest thing is, if Otani is found to be guilty and a part of this after the MLB's investigation, after the IRS investigation into the bookie and into his translator, what ends up happening is he could be on the same level of blacklist from the MLB and removed from any awards and fired like Pete Rose.
