Starting point is 00:00:04 You are listening to Soundtracks for the Skyline, a genre of music for each city. I'm Lily Faye Kramer on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM. Known as Music City, Nashville is famous for its country music scene, specifically its production and recording studios on Music Row. Jam sessions around town at Brownstiner and the Station Inn all the way to its historic venues like the Grandal Opry and the Ryman Auditorium contribute to its music culture. Locals and tourists alike love visiting the Country Music Hall of Fame to learn about the history of country music. An intimate concert experience at the Riemann, which was historically a church back in the day, is popular to see up-and-coming artists or legends such as Vince Gill. Many tourists, much of them Bachelorette parties, enjoy bar hopping on Broadway at Garth Brooks's Friends in Low Places
Starting point is 00:00:55 or Margarita Vilt, inspired by Jimmy Buffett. The music of Nashville is unique because it is a combination of all kinds of country music, ranging from bluegrass to Outlaw, Gospel, and Pop, to name a few sub-genres. I'm Lily Fay Kramer, and this has been Soundtracks for the Skyline on Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM.
