You are listening to Soundtracks for the Skyline, a genre of music for each city. I'm Lily Faye Kramer on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM. Situated in rural Idaho, the popular ski town of Sun Valley hosts a lively music scene. Each summer, the town hosts the Sun Valley Music Festival, a classical music festival that is free and open to the public. For four weeks in August, the festival hosts a full professional orchestra with members from top symphonies from across the U.S. Yo-Yo Ma and Eatsok Pearlman are two guests they've had from over the years. In partnership with the festival, the Music Institute

allows students to participate in a chamber program with professional musicians from the orchestra as their coaches. Besides the music festival, the neighboring town of Ketchum hosts weekly Ketchum Alive, where they have a local band or DJ play in the town square during the summer nights, which is quite popular amongst locals in tourist alike.
