Bread only.
Yeah, yeah, yeast, yeast.
Dude, we got bread on the podcast this week.
And here's the thing.
That is actually somehow...
And I don't mean that we're loaded with crazy stacks of dough, yo.
Here's something, somehow the bread is actually the second best thing that this guy's
contributing to the episode because the bread's from Wyatt.
Who has a question?
He always has a question.
So Wyatt's double contribution to this episode.
He supplied us to do.
Because Wyatt sponsored this episode of the nourishment for our tummies and the
the nourishment for our minds.
On this episode of...
Fred only.
No, on this episode
of Boys Only.
We should probably say our names also.
Yeah, it's me. Storm Drexler.
And me, Nate Gallagher.
We're your host for Boys Only.
Thanks for listening.
I feel like we don't say our names that often, actually.
I'm Storm.
Remember my voice.
It's connected to a guy, and the guy's name is Chad.
My voice is not connected to any physical.
But this voice right here...
But this voice...
Eh?
who's our guest today
it's you in McNamara
oh hello who are you
how did you get in here
how did I get in here
seriously how did you get in here
that's a good question
I don't know either
but I'm you and McNamara
I'm a junior
I do debate
I do stuff with Simpson
I was at Smackdown
last year I was the jester
so if you saw that
that was me getting smashed
into the table by Brock
yeah
claim to fame
smashed into a table
by extremely buff.
Yeah, man, that's awesome.
Well, you brought along the bread.
I did.
So honestly, you're the sponsor
of the show this week,
so you kind of run things here.
Oh, okay.
I'll be asking you questions.
Yeah, you're in charge now.
You can be a good cop.
And they can be bread cop.
I mean, bad cop.
What?
What?
Dude, that bread is really good.
That bread is insane.
If you can get some white bread,
if you, yes, you, the listener,
can make bread, can make
bread. That's like, that's, that's green, dude. Like, that, that makes you just like an eligible
candidate to like, marry. That's green. Regardless of gender. That's not chopped cheese,
bro. That's not chopped cheese. That's green. Green loot. It's gold loot. That's gold loot. Green
green, green light, like from that one show that we can't see. And if your significant other makes
you bread, it's over. It's a beautiful. It's over. It's so over. Put a ring on it. It's, it's just
begun.
Put me in handcuffs, drag me in.
No, okay.
That's what we're going to do after the episode.
But for now, for now, welcome to the show, Ewan.
It's good to have you here.
We had your, uh, my beautiful room.
Your other half.
Yes, your beautiful, shorter other half.
I know.
So really like a third.
You're like two-thirds.
Yeah.
It's a weird situation, but.
Yeah.
For those of those of, you know, you and is, you and is like a 600 million feet tall.
And Charlie's like a glorious little cherub.
Charlie's a crisp 5-8
5-3
Yeah, no 5-3
No, is that what you are?
So close
You know what, might as well be, man
At this point might as well be
No, again, I'm disembodied
Ah yes
Yes, yes
So I just kind of make
Everyone who's like below six foot
For me is just kind of the same
So yeah, that's how I feel
I can't really tell
All right, I, no, no, no, no
You're 6, 3 and 4 of those inches is hair
And the other two are, and two more are boot
All right, you're a crisp 5.10 at most.
Whoa.
Wow.
That's actually, that's true.
But if I'm 510, that means I'm 4 foot 9.
4 foot 9.
4 foot 9, 9, 9.
In the zone.
Oh, or whatever.
We've been on a real kick of that ever since like we've had Charlie on and we referenced
that.
Yeah, we cannot stop saying.
That was Aiden, right?
That was Aiden Christian alumnus of the show.
Danny Doyle.
And a little bit of Nick.
Vladimir. Yes. All alumni.
That was when we had the theta kick where we just
had tons and tons of theta guys
on the show back to back to back to back to back.
It was like six in a row theta.
And they all were like
seeing copyrighted songs that got us
copystriked and we just got like destroyed
with legal fees. Nice. We're recording
this in a box right now. Okay.
We're in a shoe. We're in a shoe.
We're in debtors jail.
We're in debtors jail. And that's how we've come
across you.
You found me right here.
It's like, hey, I can come on too.
Yeah.
You know, I actually don't remember meeting you.
Oh, we've never met.
You were just friends.
Like, no, no, no.
Like, I don't remember.
There was no over a point where I was like, let me introduce myself to that tall guy,
see if he's cool.
You just kind of.
It might have been Liam.
Like, became, I don't know, like, it was.
He took one step and he was in your life.
Like, it was just, no, it was, he was not like zero percent and then suddenly all the way.
Correct.
And that's what one step did.
No, he took many steps.
I assume so.
I distinctly remember my freshman year.
Oh.
There being a good, like, month where I'm like, who.
is this Nate Gallagher guy.
I keep hearing things about him, but I have
no clue who he is. I don't know what he
looks like. That's funny. And then just all of a sudden
disembodied. It's awesome.
A voice popped in your room.
Initially, I thought it was Bobby. I thought
Bobby Lindau was Nate Gallagher.
Late a night, you'd hear, Mamma me, a tomato
sauce. I want to
eat mozzarella.
Yeah, that's what I, that's what I talk like, guys.
I feel like that's how I felt as a freshman, too. I was
like, who's this Justice Yume guy? Where is he?
he was like bro bro bro
bro
bro
don't even do that bro
I'm Joseph
I met Joseph when he gave me
my Simpson t-shirt
for the first time
because he ordered them all that year
speaking of such
I hear that Simpson merch
is going up again
oh my gosh
I think we can only
I think that's only for the
select people
yeah it's only for if you're in Simpson
but if you're in
slash alumni
you're in the glorious Simpson
if you're in Simpson
make sure to buy it
yeah get some
give some Simpson merch
support the bros
Merge, merch, merch, merch.
Flex the fact that you're in, the best
Storm Hills of College. I only got the
legacy edition, which, I mean, I think we should kind of
keep it under wraps. A little under wraps.
There's a little under wraps. Okay, just a little under
a legacy shirt. Just the three of us here.
Not making those faces. I'm not. I'm
whispering. I'm whispering.
I did hear. All right, well, let's get into some
some questions. Some questions.
Okay. That must be lovely on the ears.
I don't know what kind of mood I'm in today.
Hey, send in questions.
Yeah.
We'll answer them like we were about to right now.
We got at least five.
Okay.
More.
Like more than that way down.
You do so via our Instagram story.
There's a Y is out on Friday.
When Chuckles came on, he got like a lot of questions.
Right.
Mornings at 11 a.m.
Chuck, stop that.
You stop that now.
You're listening to boys only on WRFH radio free hillsdale.
I really don't want to have to do it.
I will put on my radio man voice that I use only for official productions.
Only for boys.
First question.
The first question is, Victor, how does it sustain the corn-only diet?
Because you brought yourself on being a corn.
I'm from Indiana.
I love corn.
Yeah, tell us your first memory of corn.
My first memory.
My first memory.
I know Mama makes some mean corn.
I was in the cradle, and they didn't give me a binkie.
They just handed me a stock of corn.
And that's when it began.
Pealed it like.
Not in ear.
He's still on the snakes in his crib.
The whole stock.
Like a 7 feet tall.
I was like at that point in my life, I knew I needed to be as tall as that stock.
It's crazy because you were already 5'3.
Yeah.
It's like, it's like, it's like awesome.
Five three, eight months old.
I think I came out a 10 pound baby.
Wow.
That is giant.
That's awesome.
You look still like.
A 10 pound baby?
You do have a baby face.
It's a little bit.
It's very charming.
for you guys who don't know you
he's so easy to spot
he's kind of struts
like there's not a strut
it's like a what is it
describe it I can't
He's tall
I'm huge
There's no other way to describe it
You're looking at the crowd
And you just find the head
That's above everyone else
But like the way he moves around campus
It's just jolly
Like he just there's like a
He like
He like
He I don't know
I'm this is not a good episode for me
I'm fumbling the bag
Dude you're fumbling with all the boys
listening
But wait, what was the actual question?
How does corn affect your life?
How does sustain the corn only diet?
How do I sustain the corn?
The corn only diet.
The corn only.
Funny thing is, I don't only eat corn.
Yes, you eat a lot of corn.
I do eat corn, at least when it's in season.
When it's in season, you can go to the farmer stand and get some, like, fresh corn.
It's just the best thing in the world.
Just straight.
Do you eat straight?
Don't even like no butter, no nothing.
Just just corn.
What's your favorite form corn tics?
Corn.
Corn.
On the coffee.
I'm a cop.
I'm a cob.
Trink right off the crab.
Corny on the bob.
Corny on the bob.
I like grits.
Big grits fan.
Well, you're from...
Southern grits.
That's taters.
No.
That's corn meal.
Wait.
It's corn meal.
It's corn.
Grits is from corn?
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
Okay.
Oh, hold on.
You can't count corn meal.
Like, it has to be corn.
That's yellow.
Like, all right, you can...
Corn bread?
Because if that's the case, then that's still not...
That's still...
That's still...
That's still corn flour.
Or corn meal.
I still feel like the only right answer is corn.
Is that the only eligible answer?
Or the caved corn, like all that stuff.
Two things.
Yeah.
I feel like it's a not broad enough corn category.
Popcorn.
There you go.
I like that one.
That's my favorite.
Popcorn.
Corn on the cob.
You go to a movie theater with a steaming hot tin foil container.
That's right.
That's right.
Full, literally so like you can hear it sloshing.
I go up to,
I actually go up to the counter.
I tell them to put the popcorn back on the cob.
I will have it in no other way.
It's already popped.
Too bad.
Too late.
It's a C.
It's not what?
Put it back on the cop.
Put it back on the cop.
Return to Cobb.
It's like the old thing where it's like put the toothpaste back in the tube.
I can't.
It's not how that works.
No, but I was not really a quarry.
No. Victor.
Victor.
My dear son.
He's from Indiana too.
True.
So he understands that like.
weighing them. Yeah, it's not.
I also
eat a lot of meat in case you couldn't tell.
Meat on the cob. Meat on the cow. Yeah, meat
on the cow. Yeah, meat on the cow.
Right off the cow. Cow, cow, cow, cow, cow, cow, cow
who's only.
Cows only. What? What's the next
question? We were done with that one? I thought we're
going to talk more about corn. Dude, corn got me.
Corn got me. Dude, I love corn. Cunk off
the corn. I love corn.
Conk off the corn. Corn is so delicious.
Andre Olaru.
Uh-oh.
Oh, no.
Out of your many injuries.
Which is the most memorable?
I remember one time I saw you in the union, everyone was like talking, like whispering something about you in.
And I was like, what the heck?
And then I saw in the union and you had no legs across your whole like face and neck like down one side.
Like you got struck by lightning.
I was like, what on earth happened?
This was early second semester last year, right?
You were regular sledding.
Yeah, what happened?
Tell the story.
Definitely regular sledding.
We were not doing anything weird with that sled.
Worst way we could have possibly.
We weren't doing anything weird with that sweat.
The sled was going, the sled was going unusually fast.
Somewhere in the order of 50.
Somehow in some way it had been propelled to extreme speeds.
To roughly 50 miles an hour.
It's a pass
Salmon got nothing on that man
And then I rammed into a tree
Just
Straight into a tree
I thought like it was a branch
That like slapped you in the face
You actually hit a like a
The tree was down on the road
I was like there's no way bro
He had a vertical tree and like walk that off
Thankfully most of the
Just tank that
Most of the run was taken by like the sled itself
But it also sent me flying
And so I
Right into the conco
God
You could hear the sound effects.
Did the impact that actually caused the damage was at the tree or the fall down?
It's probably both.
And also I do think there are like some branches to the side.
That probably is what cut my neck.
Okay.
Like that was the most striking thing about it for me.
I was like, dude, you look like.
Come mold by a tiger.
Yeah, you look like fought a bear.
Funny enough, I just got got back up and started walking towards the car.
Chilling.
Just hanging out.
Because you also.
Because you have 500 hit points.
You know, it's a little weird about you and chuckles, but you've both like blown up
your hand because didn't that like totally blow up
your hand? Oh that's true. Yeah my hand was
probably broken. I didn't go see anyone about it
so that's complete conjecture.
That's that corn only diet.
The healing factor tanked that.
Yeah. My hand's probably
fine now. Was it like the thumb side of the pinky
side? It was more the pinky side. Dude you and
Chuckles got to lock in man. I know.
What's going on guys? Yeah. We'll try.
Those left pinkies getting sniped. Well, Chuckles is
locked in. We know that. Chuckles is locked in.
His pinkies already gone.
His pinky.
He can't lock in the truck.
It's not strictly what I was referring to, but okay.
We've already talked about his engagement,
Blenny.
Yeah, he's engaged, it's great, whatever.
He's happy and all, okay.
Climbing the mountain.
I'm kidding.
Yes, you should be kidding.
No, don't actually be kidding.
Well, thank you for that question.
Andre O'Law.
Was that it?
Is that the, that's the thing I can remember.
That's probably, that's definitely the worst injury I've ever had.
Yeah.
By a long shot.
50 mile per hour.
Even when you, didn't he hit yourself in the face with the shovel when we were
digging up the roots?
maybe I did that but I do have I'm thinking of something else um me and Charlie I think me and
Charlie it was late a second semester freshman year for us at least and we were using a fence
like one of those fence post pounders you know what those things are
fence post pounders no I don't know what a and I quote fence post pound is this trust this is a real
thing has two handles and like a hollow. Oh, oh, oh. And then you just hit the pen. Yeah.
I know you're talking about now. So I'm going, I'm, you're going hog wild. You're going hog wild.
You're absolutely pounding the ever living hell out of the fence post. Going hog wild on that
post. But anyways, so I raise it up to bring it down again. Yeah. So as you do with the, as you do with
the fence post pounded. And I miss. And you hit yourself in the,
Well, it clips the, like, edge of the post and it goes right into my head.
Oh, those things are probably very...
And I start bleeding.
I start bleeding.
What, like, was it a big flat surface or a point?
Like, what hit your head?
I think it might have been the edge of the top.
So just like a right...
Like a corner?
Yeah, right into my head.
You start bleeding everywhere.
I start bleeding everywhere.
Just spewing corn.
Yeah.
Corn just starts butter and salt.
Yeah, butter and salt.
Spilling out everywhere.
Dude, if you were in plants for zombies, you'd be the corn, the colonel pole.
Wines.
Roro.
Oh, gosh, we're so fried already.
Good, good, good, good.
Stop it.
Next question.
Bobby asked.
I love Bobby.
I think we all know the answer to this question, but I'm going to ask it anyway because it's a great story.
Okay.
He says, are you a taters guy or a potato's guy?
We already know, but what are you used?
Say it again?
It's taters.
Tiders.
Taiters.
We got some taters.
Wait, you want to tell the tater story?
Or do you want me to tell the tater?
I think you have to tell it because, I mean, you provided most of the comedic value.
So last year, me and Storm's junior year, Ewan's sophomore year, it's homecoming.
And it's pretty early in the year.
So it's like warm outside.
We're doing work.
I think it was at Dr. Webb's house for volunteer hours.
And me, Ewan, and Charlie decide that we are going to make our life's mission to dig up as many stumps.
as humanly possible.
Right?
Like as humanly possible.
We're going to go,
we're going hog wild
and the words of you in McNammer.
Of course,
we're going hog wild.
Of course.
We're going,
can they tell you're chewing bread?
Yeah,
we've got those big mouthfuls of bread.
It's pretty clear
that you're both chewing bread
into the microphone.
Like, it's not slick.
Keep going with your story.
Anyway.
And I can't remember
how it started actually.
Why I said,
oh, yes,
now I remember.
So, Ewan was wearing,
It's hot outside, kind of.
And Ewan is wearing a wife beater, a belt, jeans, and boots.
And the white beater is tucked into the jeans.
And I'm like...
We're really going for it that day.
And I'm like you and you look like a West Virginia, like, hillbilly.
Like, give me some taters.
And I think I said taters.
At first I just said the word.
Like, look at you'd say taters instead of potatoes.
Chamater, potato.
Like, you look at you'd say that.
Taters.
Tiders.
And this.
just, and for some, and then he says the word tater.
He's so, he's like, because he's all cute, and he's like,
Tater. Tater. Tater. You want some tater. Tater.
I want some tater. Every single time he does, I, like, I cries or crying.
He was crying. Can't not hold. I'm on the ground out around this guy's house,
weeping and gnashing of teeth, gnashing of teeth. And it escalates.
to the point that
and Ewan gives this great comment
he like
is fighting this stump so hard
and we're like man that took you like three days
and he exclaims for the world here
is three days work all I got was
one day. Wait I thought you said that
no oh it was so just
off the cuff you just exclaimed
that and
and I said you just sound like a really bad
farmer
three days work all I got one tiger
one tider
got one tater.
It was more
exas.
It was like,
you only got one tater.
He was begging the universe.
For more.
For more.
For more.
I couldn't work for like
the rest of the day.
Different time I had to see you and I was like tater.
Yeah, I was ripping up trees and you were just.
Taters.
Taters.
Taters.
Taters.
Taters only.
Man,
this whole episode has been of food.
I'm talking about the bread.
You got the tator.
Big and fat episode.
It's me.
That's really sad to say.
It's me.
Big and fat.
No, you're just big.
Yeah.
You're not really fat.
You're just like proportioned larger than everyone.
That's true.
You're not fat, bro.
I'm not.
Not even close.
We don't have fat people on the show.
I do eat a lot, though.
I mean, you're six, four.
If you didn't, I'd be like, what are you doing, bro?
You look like a storm.
You would look like me.
Yeah.
Green bean over here.
That's a vegetable we don't like.
I don't like green beans.
They're kind of good.
No, they're not.
They're okay.
Green beans are, have you ever had an asparagus?
They're kind of good.
Asparagus?
Paragas is also kind of good.
Unreal.
You're good.
Green beans are also good.
You still soak both of them in butter.
Butter.
Butter.
In butter.
All right.
In butter.
Gosh, this is so, we're so fat.
We're so fat.
Yeah.
Caleb asked, do you still have Charlie's finger?
Oh,
was,
you took it that one time.
You got it back.
You recovered it.
It's under my pillow.
It's like the tooth fairy.
One day I'm going to get a million dollars from the finger fairy.
Yep.
That's accurate.
That's accurate.
That's right.
That's something that they've been saying recently in the world that we live in here.
Storm,
you want to contribute to this section of me asking questions?
Are you just going to sit there and say another?
I'm just enjoying myself over here.
Just watching you.
Talking to you is like going on a bad date sometimes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You're not getting a second date.
I know.
Tader.
Have you ever, have the finger fairy ever visited you?
Not, not recently.
Well, not as of late.
Not as of late.
You haven't lost many fingers, I can see.
No, I've got all 10 of them, but I've broken every single one of them.
Oh, okay.
Wait, so those are your adult fingers?
You lost all your baby.
Yeah, I lost all your baby fingers.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I lost all my baby food.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Many moons ago.
Of course, of course.
Many corn growing cycles ago.
Is that how you guys to tell time in Indiana, tell the years?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right, well, let's get serious.
And thank you to Liam for always making us get serious.
Okay.
You and why your volunteer hours so important?
Because you are like, you can honestly do the whole, like,
reason that you are even, like, why is he even asking this question?
While he's thinking about that, I can give the background.
Oh, that's what I was going to say.
I was going to have him just give the background for what those are.
Those who don't know what's going about homecoming.
So for those who don't know, I probably have more homecoming hours on campus than anyone else.
But what are those?
Yeah, like what is the whole like why?
Okay.
So.
So there is homecoming.
Yes.
No.
It is a series of competitions.
And one of those competitions is who can get the most volunteer.
Well, per person.
Which team can get the most can hit the quota of volunteer hours, which is a certain amount per capita.
Yeah.
Yes, it is averaged out.
It's not just the most
because then Simpson would win every year.
I mean, Simpson wins every year anyway
because we're the best.
We're the best.
Because I'm not in anymore.
Yeah, you both left.
We are the best.
Yeah.
Even though we have the most guys.
Yes, we are winners.
We yes, we are winners.
He's locked down.
Oh, past the bread.
I'm sorry, guys.
So anyway, homecoming volunteer hours
is one of the competitions.
Freshman year.
For initially, I didn't even realize
I was doing that many.
But then it turns out that by the end
of homecoming week, freshman year,
I had done 50 volunteer hours
in one week
over the course that one week
and then last year
spent full-time student of college
did a 50 hour of work week as well
volunteering
and then last year
they reduced volunteer stuff
so there wasn't as many opportunities
which was very sad
but I was still able to get
I think 27 volunteer hours
which is definitely more than
anyone else on campus
that that well the 50 years
you got, you and Ezra,
and J. Willie got hit that mark.
And the three of you were lauded as war heroes
for getting the most ever.
Yeah, I was a freshman, so, you know.
Yeah, it was incredible.
Because like Ezra Phillips,
who never, we never had him on the show,
regrettably somewhat, but great man,
graduated last year.
Married now.
Yeah, married.
He was married our last year, too,
but he was like,
like the spearhead.
of that.
Like my freshman year
and then me and Storm's
sophomore year,
he was like the guy,
you know,
because that was his thing.
He was like,
all right, guys,
we're putting our heads down.
And he was like,
if none of you want to help me,
I will get all of the volunteer hours
by myself.
Like,
I do not care.
Yeah.
But he would come in
give motivational rallying speeches
and be like,
I've worked like a dog.
And he had a little bit
of a tendency action.
So it was like great
because he'd occasionally
hit a little like Southern in there.
And it really
get you fired up.
Yep.
And I guess you and just like,
I just bought into it.
Totally bought in.
I think Ezra got 63 or something like that.
He got,
something,
something,
something ridiculous.
Yeah.
And as a junior too,
which is crazy.
I think my junior,
I got like 15,
16.
It was the reduced
hours amount.
Oh yeah.
Once they reduced hours,
I only got like 15.
Yeah,
it was harder to get hours,
but no.
I got like 20.
Are you leading the charge
again this year?
Yes.
Of course you are.
of course you are.
What are some of your most memorable jobs you all have done
or that we've done for volunteering?
This one wasn't actually for
homecoming, but I was volunteering
with a few good men outside of homecoming.
Which is what the most of the jobs for...
Surprise, surprise, I actually do that.
Yeah.
You're telling me that you give back to your community
not only when it's for our competition,
but also when it's for the good of the community itself.
When it's for the good of the community itself.
Hear that campus?
Yes, that's crazy.
Yeah.
We were helping this elderly
gentleman, like clear his lawn of rocks and sticks and stuff. And he just so happened to be one of
Dr. Gerke's history teachers or history professors. What? From the college. I'm not kidding you.
One of our professors professors. Yes. And he was telling stories. Former teacher here? Yes. Wow.
And he was telling us stories of undergraduate Dr. Gerke. Sounds like he hasn't changed much.
He still kind of speaks in the same way.
Alumni, alumnus of the show, by the way.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Apparently, Dr. Gurkie will go over there sometimes
and just hang out with him.
Wow.
What was this guy's name?
Do you remember?
Can you say?
No, no, we just can't say.
Yeah, he doesn't, yeah.
I'm not allowed to just close that information.
It was kind of like that moment
where Jesus healed the paralytic
and was like, tell no one of this.
It's kind of like that.
He can't say.
I can't say.
Dr. Gerke could come back on and just,
That's it.
We'll have one for 15 seconds.
So who was this guy?
Oh, it was doctor?
Bam-rah, right, right, right.
Okay, that bo-bo-bo, and then the actual music plays.
Yeah.
Third call for bird ball starts in there.
Third call for bird ball?
Yep.
Mm-hmm.
The greatest thing that's ever happened.
That's awesome.
I loved volunteering.
When I, when we used to do that for homecoming, that was awesome.
Yeah.
I, and, oh, wait, hold on.
Taters was also during volunteering.
Yeah.
Taters was during volunteer.
Yes.
I think that's important to,
but yes, it was.
I think.
our freshman and maybe
maybe our sophomore year
there was the midnight shift.
Oh, that was so awesome.
The famous collection of like,
the midnight shift was
Ezra found this job
when he was a sophomore,
mean, storm, refreshman.
And it was a local church that was like,
we are kind of in the state of utter disrepair.
Which is really,
that's so sad to see.
Yeah, we are blessed
with a bountiful amount of churches
around here in Hillsdale,
but I mean, if you ask me,
always take more churches rather than less.
Yeah, that's true.
Also, it was a bit of a driveway,
so it wasn't quite in Hillsdale.
Okay.
He's like, guys, if we, they've offered,
like, if you guys want to work from like 11 p.m. to sunrise,
knock yourselves out.
Yeah.
Because there's enough to do.
Like, there is enough to do.
We will give you a,
a 10-page list of things to do.
Like, there's enough.
And so he got like,
it was like close to 20 guys.
20 guys, yeah.
And they stayed.
up all night and they
rebuilt a church
like essentially. It was super
cool. I didn't get to go
and I really regret that. Did you go
it would have been your
sophomore year of my freshman year? The midnight shift two years ago?
No we didn't stay. I might have gone to that.
We didn't stay to still sunrise but we stayed to like
three something like that. I think
I might have been I
we had a big bonfire.
I know well they told us to burn stuff so
we had we conveniently. Then no. I didn't
I think I did a different like late night thing but I
didn't do that.
The midnight shift as it's affectionately known.
I have a great photo of you and I and of you,
you and I,
Storm Drexler on a rooftop with Charlie,
I believe there.
Oh, that was so much fun.
Where we went over to the Helping Hands
Pregnancy Center here in town.
And they were like our gutters are cooked.
They have so much stuff in them.
They were cooked.
So Ewan and Charlie and I, Charlie last week's guest,
went up on the roof of this building and just started
getting gunk out and then laying like new screens.
over the thing.
They asked us to be on the roof this time.
Yes, they desired us to be on the roof.
It's a miracle we didn't fall through.
That's true.
Given our immense fatness and weight.
I've been on a few roos in my...
For my first two years,
I did a few good men.
I just couldn't handle it junior year,
and I do regret that, but I just couldn't handle it.
So, but I mean, I've, I've been on a bunch of roofs
for people out in town.
You should go, you guys should go join
if you're a member of the college.
You should go in.
join.
It doesn't just have to be a few good men,
just really any goal program.
Any goal program will do, you know.
It's not
volunteer.
Manual labor is not everyone's cup of tea,
you know?
Well,
so you can,
there's just off the top of my head,
there's like youth mentorship ones.
There's one that's widows.
There's ones with,
volunteering.
Letter writing,
there's ones with people with disabilities.
Like,
there's so many options.
There's a bunch of,
that are religious-based.
I think every single denomination
has their own, like,
little religious,
one. And honestly, like, let's be honest, like this place, this college is so wealthy.
It's so blessed.
Yeah.
We're so.
Like you, you should give back.
Yeah.
A little bit.
Yes.
That's a great way to do so.
And it is a great opportunity to get involved starting with homecoming season,
just coming up in a week or two.
Yeah.
Everybody will be trying to get you.
Yes.
And so if you're listening to this and you're like, I don't, maybe I'll volunteer.
Have that be your launch off point.
Or at least even if.
Join homecoming.
Yes, join humcoming.
Be a part of homecoming.
Do the things no matter what group you're part.
Even if you're not in.
Extra days, this, this.
There's more days.
There's more days.
Yeah, it's no, it's because of.
It's a leap year.
No, it's because of fall break.
We have a section of Ontario
before fall break and after fall break.
It's a total of 11 days.
Dude, you're going to get like a hundred hours.
Yeah.
Wow.
Actually, 100 hours is not that hard to get.
Well, oh, yes, it is.
That's 10 hours a day.
Quick man.
Here's the, uh,
I, is it 10 days?
I just need to know like how many,
like how many actual opportunities
are going to be out there.
If there's 11 days, I have to.
Nine hours a day.
Like, I assume hundreds.
Yeah, I'll beat Ezra's record,
but it won't be fair because.
You'll have extra time.
You can do the math.
Okay.
You should just, yeah, just do the math,
even it out.
Like, so per day, how many?
But also, are they still doing it
the way they did last year
where, like, you hit a cap?
Oh, there was a cap.
Yeah, because they had a point cap.
There's a point cap.
Like, you're just trying to hit a team.
a threshold that then we'll give you the points.
It's that there's not like for second,
second, third anymore.
See, I don't like, I think it was our,
they, so to the way I remember,
because me and Storm,
by the time we got here,
it was already kind of a hotly contested
part of homecoming with a volunteer hours.
The original system was literally just
whoever got the most hours won.
Really?
Miraculously, Simpson didn't win.
We used to not win.
We didn't win that.
Well, it's because we didn't try, right?
Yeah, but like,
that was way back ancient history.
I mean, that was like six years ago.
It was more than six.
It was a really long time.
No, it was a really long time ago.
It was probably closer to eight, nine years ago.
Then they changed it to the per capita.
So however many people you have participating in Homecoming,
because there's a sheet.
That's what they're divided by at the end.
Divided by, like that was it,
which is the most fair possible way you can do that.
You know?
Like Olds is never going to beat Simpson in a straight race.
No one's theoretically going to beat Simpson in a straight race.
But if you're a homecoming team with two people.
And you each get 20 hours, you win.
You win.
Yeah.
No, that's fair.
And then they changed it to what, like, if you got 500 hours or something like that?
No, if you get an average per person.
It's still average per person, but once you hit, I think it's nine this year.
Which.
That's so few.
That's help your community anymore.
They're trying to.
I'm allowed to, I'm allowed to this.
Yes, we are allowed to say, SAB, this is a, this.
Yeah, we're allowed to be like, what are you.
Student Activities Board of Hilda College.
This should be amended.
are discouraging people to volunteer anymore.
And people can volunteer more, you should let them.
And also it doesn't even make sense from a competitive standpoint.
Because like now you've set a bar and now you've given them more time to reach it,
basically everyone's going to reach that bar.
Yeah, it's an obligation now.
It's 500 extra point.
It just to make the total at the end bigger.
Yeah.
It's just inflation.
It's point inflation.
Point inflation rather than an actual incentive to go out and help the community.
Yeah.
So it was peak for those few years there where it was actually just per capita and everyone was like,
However, we have to...
It's still a good thing.
Still lock in and do that.
You want to get your nine hours.
I'm still locking in.
You should probably...
I'm going to get as many volunteer hours as possible.
Maybe get more than nine hours.
Maybe get 20, 30, 40.
We get nine hours and three minutes.
If it's 11 days.
I mean, my freshman year, I wanted to get 70.
You got 50 in like five days.
Seven.
Oh, wait.
Is it only five?
I guess, no, it's from Thursday to Thursday.
Yeah, it's Thursday to Thursday.
That's Thursday to Thursday.
That means seven.
That was incredible.
That's still crazy.
That's, that's what, eight hours a day?
Holy ghost.
It's like eight hours a day.
It's crazy.
It's redonculus.
Anyway, you want to talk
what hot dog eating?
Yeah.
This is what you asked?
Who asked?
Liam.
Okay.
What do you ask?
Liam says,
tell me about that time
you beat Dr. Yost
in a hot dog eating competition.
You beat Dr.
Yose?
He was in that competition?
In the OG one.
There's an amazing.
There's an amazing photo of Dr.
Yost with three hot dogs
in his hand with just one bite
taken out of all three of them.
And then a cigarette in the other.
A peak.
Define peak.
That's just, that's...
On the last day, that's gonna be there.
That big one's gonna be there.
But no, I'm a two-time hot dog champion on campus.
A Bealsdale College.
You are the greatest competitive eater this school has technically speaking ever seen.
Yeah.
The glizzy goat.
Wait, there used to be wing eating competitions.
There used to be winging competitions, but no one...
I would dominate that.
That was part of homecoming and no one...
I'd just swallow...
I eat the bones.
No one who's currently on campus was around when those were here.
No.
Because we weren't.
No one was around when it was a thing when we got here.
here. That was like 2019.
Wait, I think that maybe the seniors when we were freshmen had been around for some of those.
I can't read.
But I don't know.
Anyway.
Okay.
So you were a part of, how did that even, who ran that first hot dog?
So the first one was ran by Sigma Kai.
It was a philanthropy event, right?
The fraternity Sigma Kai.
The brothers, Sig.
The brother Sig.
Yeah, the Sikhkeye glissie slam off as it was affection.
Was it actually?
No.
No.
Well, you called it.
I called it the sick guy glissie slam off.
You call things by different names.
I call things.
I think it was by funny, amazing names.
That's true.
I do like, what you just say?
Thanks to you, and that was very articulate and amazing.
I like what you just said.
I like that you did that thing.
That was good.
So they were, so they were just supposed to sink guy guys.
And then we were like, we got to put Simpson for us.
We got to put someone in the ring.
So we searched.
I remember searching around who's going to be our guy.
And then we were like, duh.
Well, yeah, I did hot targeting contests for the high school in my high school as well.
It's horrible.
You had three.
For my, no, the word, the golden words here is for my high school.
What does that?
Like, what do you mean?
Like, it was a team.
It's like science Olympiad in this thing.
It's like, I was on the science.
I was on the hot dog slamming country.
Well, no, I was, I was on student government and.
It was a part of the administration.
Every Tuesday, hot dog slamming dog.
Welcome to the Frankfurt Academy.
Yeah,
Corny Dog
Indiana cannot be real.
See, I was part of the administration.
That's the greatest way you could ever
So it was part of the administration.
Like it was so obvious.
Of course I was a jar to the hot dog.
What do you think my position was?
I was glissie slammer for the year of 26-27
or 23-24.
Duh.
So how don't you actually explain what you meant by you said you did them for your high school?
Yeah, no.
We, on student government, we're just looking for fun things to do for the student body.
And we would host hot dog eating contest.
You won?
Yeah.
You're not supposed to win as a part of student government.
You're supposed to.
Too bad.
It was like a challenge.
It was like, can you help student government?
Yeah, hold on.
Like, are you significantly larger, like, just, are you like the clearly the tall guy?
of your school or is it like a bunch of very tall people very large?
It's corn huskers. They're all huge.
No, no, here's the thing. Not only, not only is it a bunch of corn fed boys, but they're all Dutch.
It was a, for those of you who don't know, I'm Dutch reformed. And I grew up among other
Dutch reformed people who just so happened to be Dutch, as the name would imply. And so
back where I'm from, I'm pretty average height. Well, a little horrible to hear from me. A little on the
higher end, honestly.
But there were probably a couple people taller than me in high school.
Yeah, I think so.
Did they participate?
Like, was it...
But no, I was still the best.
In the first, in the first hot dog eating contest, it did kind of feel like you had no competition.
Like, looking back in my brain, like, there were like a few people that looked like they
might challenge you.
But like, a lot of the guys there were a little, like, they were a little skinny or they
were kind of shorter guys.
Because all the frats put a guy forward.
and then most of the dorms put a guy forward.
Like Needfeld had one, Whitley had one.
I think I think the Galway had one.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
You like, yeah.
You like clearly were larger than everybody.
What about Mason?
He was the Galway.
He's about as big as I am.
I guess.
I'm trying to say that you look like you would dominate.
I did dominate them.
Well, he did dominate.
Roy to them.
How many?
He didn't look like he proved himself.
In 10 minutes, I ate 12 and a half.
Oh, my God.
Real.
Full dogs.
Dog and bun.
That's very clear, clear.
This was not like a, like a, just down-um competition.
This was an eat the whole meal.
12, uh-huh.
12 dog arunis in 10.
And you got to keep it down.
Yeah.
And you kept it down.
There was one guy who didn't.
Yeah.
I saw that.
Yeah.
I didn't keep it down.
He was good.
He didn't eat 12.
He did.
I ate more.
And then the second time.
That, now that was worried for you with that one because they, the guy next to me was.
The football team showed up.
Yeah.
For this one, this was a sports game.
The football team.
There was some big boy.
Football team came out some couple lines,
a couple linemen on the line,
a big boy from our one.
The DSP, Gillesie Slamoff.
It wasn't sponsored by DSP,
but there were DSP's there, I think.
I probably actually had a more dominant performance
on the second one, though.
How many was that in how much time?
Which was also a Cig Carver?
No, that was just the Chargers.
This was held by the school.
This was the Chargers fan.
Yeah, approved by the administration.
Bring out your fat people,
bring out your fat people, bring out your fat people,
coming slurm hard dogs.
What?
Right away.
So this one was a little different.
They only gave us eight hot dogs.
So I ate all eight in less time than the,
they gave us,
which was five minutes.
You ate eight hot drinks.
And under five.
Yes,
it was about like four and a half.
That's more impressive than the 12 and 10.
Well,
because it's a faster pace.
It's faster pace.
That doesn't mean any.
It's faster pace.
I got to eat eight.
You mean you went at a faster pace.
It was not a,
it was a shorter time frame.
well, the faster pace is all on you, big guy
you're weak. Well, the SIGCai was
10 minutes. Yeah. Yeah, you could
I think what you're saying is you can pace yourself with the
the SIG guy one. That's what I'm saying. I'm more impressed with the
8 and 5. Yeah, that is massively more
impressive. And again, keeping it down. Yeah.
That was part of the case. You got to keep it down.
They gave me $200 for that.
Wow. They just gave you a child out cash.
They gave me $50 cash,
$50 to
to buy more hot dogs.
I eat more. $50 in gift cards.
to Market House, which has closed,
which is very unfortunate.
Because you don't wear clothes.
It's unfortunate.
It closed.
Oh, I like said clothes.
Shut down.
Like,
I went there with my gift cards,
and they said, go away, we're closed.
Like perma.
Yes.
Dang.
And then what were the other hundred?
And then the other hundred was to the online gift store.
Can I get,
can I get it all in cash?
That's like one shirt.
That's just $50.
It just gave you $50.
I think I got one.
One QZ off that.
That's funny.
That's all right.
But 50 bucks is 50 bucks.
50 bucks is slamming.
50 bucks of cash.
Like,
what's the strategy?
Because that one you had
kind of more advanced warning.
I think the sigwin
we just grabbed you like
maybe the day.
No,
I did the same thing both times.
Oh.
What's the strat?
I just didn't eat anything all day.
Just that day.
Not even the day before.
Okay, so there's definitely
like smarter ways of doing it,
which I've looked into.
Of course you have.
Research.
For the next time, just in case.
Just in case.
But I just didn't eat that day.
I had a little bag of sugar,
and I would dip my finger in it and lick it.
And that's how I'd keep myself from not eating anything.
Wait, wait, wait, sorry, sorry.
Mid-competition or just throughout the day?
No, throughout the day.
You had to have a stimulant to not eat.
You basically had a salt lick for sugar.
I mean, what is that?
I was like, oh, there's just some sort of mid-competition trick
to, like, maybe keep your palate cleanse.
or something different. No, no, no, this was just randomly.
You have. This was me starving myself, so that it was as hungry as possible.
Because when it comes to, like, the first couple minutes is the most valuable.
Yeah.
When it comes to.
Holy smokes.
I seem you then didn't eat the next three days because you performed a profane act.
Nope.
I think I got.
He wouldn't have dinner right after.
Did you actually have dinner later those days?
I'm.
I might have went to AJ's after the SIG-Kai won.
Free lunch.
Dude, that's crazy.
You ever seen that movie?
What was it, The Green Book?
With Vigo Mortison and that...
The Green Mile?
No.
I have not...
I love that actor, but I have not seen the movie.
It's a great movie.
Anyway, whatever.
Never mind.
Their reference is lost.
Forget it.
Dude, thanks to bringing that out.
I didn't know if you had to see it.
That's why I asked.
Thanks for that.
You guys are the worst.
Liam also asks, why do you love chicken so much?
It's a lot of food today.
Have we talked about anything that is in food and volunteer hours?
No.
I mean, you could.
Okay, let's just go through the story and then we can stop talking about food.
Sure.
Until Wyatt's question, which will hopefully be about food also.
I don't know.
I've objected.
I never look at it before.
Okay.
At the Fisig Pavilion, late at night, studying, I have a whole rotisserie chicken and I am really hungry.
so I am just eating that thing as fast as humanly possible.
It's a good dinner.
Boy dinner.
Boy dinner.
One road is for chicken and one's in.
And Liam just looks at me and goes,
or was it chuckles?
It might have been chuckles who said this.
Something along the lines of don't forget to breathe.
You need to breathe while you're eating.
And then I start laughing because I thought that was funny.
A classic breath stopper.
I was just,
and then Luke Jones just goes,
there it is the breath
what? Yeah in reference to
him breathing and in reference to me
breathing it was like oh he finally
decided to breathe and stop eating
oh
godly this is the
fattest episode of all time we have ever
had and so let's let's bring it home
and that's the Wyat
question which any luck
will be about food
wow this is really long
this is a
crisp almost
per crap.
All right,
all right,
lock in.
I traditionally read it
slow so we understand
the get the
really, the deep reading.
You've listened
in an episode before.
You know what that happened.
They'll see it again a little quicker.
Okay.
Would you rather
have unbearably dry lips
to the point
where it hurts to even
smile or open your mouth
whenever you have an interaction
with a person
that you felt
was even slightly awkward
or at a time and place
of your choice
be mandated to go to the
bathroom in your pants every two weeks.
Well, hold on, hold on.
At a time and place of your choice.
I will reread the question one more time.
Would you rather have unbearably dry lips
to the point where it hurts to smile or even open your mouth
when you have an interaction with a person
that you felt was even slightly awkward?
Okay, okay.
Or at a time and place of your choice,
every two weeks, you must use the bathroom in your pantaloons.
Oh my goodness.
I'm taking the two weeks is long.
I'm about to say, two weeks.
weeks is long. It's of my time
and choice. I want to just, yeah, right before the
shower, please. But in your pants.
It's fine. You have to throw away those underwear.
Tank that. Do not tank
that. No. Do not do this. I think.
You know how often I overthink my interaction with
human beings? I've done it 16 times on this
podcast alone in the last two minutes.
Oh, really?
Hmm. I have
what I would consider a little, like, slightly
awkward conversations with people
every other day. It's too often.
It's too often. It's too. But like, you just
have chapstick.
It's unbearable.
I think it's like,
he doesn't,
it's like,
it's like horrible.
Yeah,
but that,
it'll go away.
I, for different reasons,
might also take the two weeks.
I'm taking the two weeks.
But my reason is that two weeks is really long.
You guys just want to poop your pants,
don't you?
No,
we never said that.
See,
notice how I didn't say that.
I just don't want my lips to be like,
yeah,
trusty and fall off.
Yeah,
I don't like that.
It's too dry out here.
I grew up on an island
where the moisture.
I have chapstick at all times,
which you probably should,
anyways.
It's so much,
I think that's the point of the question
is that it's so incredibly much
dryness that like you need to blow through the stick
every time you have an and I quote
even slightly awkward interaction
that you think is awkward.
It does not have to be actually awkward.
What if I just mentally condition myself
to never pick up on social cues again?
You already do that.
So he might be immune.
Why it would be immune?
Because why it doesn't.
Just say whatever you want.
But don't feel.
But if anyone else had that affliction,
Wyatt would give it to them every time we talk to them.
No.
Just have crazy amounts of confidence.
You're like,
yeah, you're a little to just peel back.
No, I've almost never had an awkward interaction with that.
I have another.
I love Wyatt.
Which is like not,
I can't say the same about the rest of you guys?
Can we actually ask a clarifying question?
Yes, but I'll call him.
We'll call him.
We clarify.
I'm the judge.
When he says,
when he says, think is awkward,
like something you did that you think is awkward?
No.
Or something.
something they did, you did, or how the interaction went.
But only to you, if they thought it was awkward, but you were like la-di-da-da-da, then you're fine.
Oh, okay.
Well, then I'll just be like, cloudy-d-da-da.
See, that's where I'm saying I actually might agree with you in, because I don't overthink
interactions that much.
I do.
I can't handle that.
I'll just skip and jump and be happy.
However, however, you know what would be a problem?
Trying to date someone at the beginning and being like, oh, was that weird?
And then if ever you're like, oh, was that weird, you're, you can't kiss them that at that point.
If you ever think any interactions you have as weird at all,
your,
your,
your curse of raw.
Yeah,
but on your lip of Roos of Roos.
But on your lip of Roos.
Sub Sahara.
Not sub-Sahara,
Sahara.
I still like,
I mean,
the alternative is literally pooping my pants.
He didn't say that.
He said to use the bathroom.
Let's please,
can we not,
can we please,
this is a PG show?
What if I,
what if I,
wait,
wait,
what if I switch and put on a bathing suit
once every two weeks.
Again,
time and place if you're choosing.
He did not
see...
And then I'm in the shower.
Time place...
It feels like I'm immune, right?
Yeah, you're basically immune.
Hmm.
I'm telling you that's the method.
That might be the method.
That's the method.
That's the method.
You should adjust to your...
It's also every two...
It feels like every day.
Every day.
That's one thing.
It's every two weeks.
And so I get to choose
when and where.
Light work.
Easy.
It's a good one, Wyatt.
Yeah.
That is a good one.
I will say.
Mid Italian class.
It's very good.
For those who don't know,
I'm going to keep the hype rolling.
We are building towards
having Wyatt Peters himself
on this show.
Dude, that's in like two months, dude.
I'm slowly building the hype.
And we're doing...
Is he going to ask his own question?
We know, we're doing a would...
Oh, don't worry.
We're doing a would you rather episode, a battle off.
The whole episode will be,
would you rather, blank or blank,
blank or blank or blank.
And that's going to be the questions.
I'm going to prompt you guys.
We're going to go back and forth,
us versus Wyatt, until one of us,
one team breaks.
I'm going to prompt you guys
because you're going to help us out.
Because Wyatt's clearly better than me
in Storm combined.
What you guys are going to do is,
and I'll let you know
before the episode comes out and also in the questionnaires,
you're going to give only would you rather questions.
Yes.
You're going to help our team, our cause.
Yep.
And we're going to win the day.
I also think I'll come prepared.
I'll have some.
I won't.
That's okay.
Bored.
Speaking of not bored but time.
No, no, no.
We have another question, right?
No.
Thank you,
Gelliger.
Unless someone texted you.
It makes me so sad.
It's been like 50 Millards.
It's been so, it makes me sad.
It's been like an Elmer, almost.
Let's run another Fergie.
Another Fergie Millards.
Another Furgy, that's, that's, that's,
be the longest we've ever had. I know on that son.
By Chris, at least five Millards.
Guys, wish me luck
because I, the next thing
of importance that I'm doing with my life
is taking the else up. You're currently doing that actually.
I am doing, I'm taking it
later today. As you listen.
No, no, no, later today. Getting ready.
He's in the tunnel. He's in the hype
to he's like, he's singing, he's singing
his chance, he's war chance.
Yeah.
Stry my boxing gloves. Things are playing.
Pulling my hoodie up. I'm like,
he's in his Mike Tyson.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm getting ready to go on the crowd outside.
The crowd is consistent nothing but Mike Ross and Harvey Specter.
Mm-hmm.
The only people in the crowd.
Yeah, my giga-chads.
So I'm going to go out there and try to make my giga-chads proud, my two dads.
Tomorrow I'll be doing nothing or today.
Today, later, later.
I'm doing nothing.
So that's the next important thing I'm doing with my life.
I thought you guys should know.
So come hang out with me.
If you're listening to this, the day it's released, which is September 12th, I believe, which is today, obviously.
Duh.
Duh, today.
Yeah.
shoot a prayer up for your homeboy.
You know what?
I'm trying to rack up as many as I can.
You know what?
Always.
Just always be shooting a prayer up.
Doesn't it be for your homeboy.
Just always be doing that a little bit, low-key.
Yeah.
And you remember.
So I'll come back in with Len you guys on how to win next week.
Dude, he's going to be weeping at the beginning.
Weeping and Nash.
You tune next week for Storm Crying on the podcast.
Tune in next week for Storm Obliteration Day, 2026.
Yeah.
Well, thanks for coming on the show, Ewan.
Thank you for having me.
Yeah.
Do you have any love?
Last words.
Yeah, because you've never seen someone after the bedroom.
I've never seen anyone.
They always go missing.
They come.
I don't know where they go.
They're gone.
They're gone?
Don't.
Oh, shoot.
So with us getting into this year, with homecoming coming up, or anything else you
want to talk about, what are your last words or your send-off words to the listeners?
Make sure you volunteer for homecoming.
Yeah.
And spread love and joy with the rest of the world.
Yay.
Yeah.
Yippee.
Eat hot dogs.
And eat as many hot dogs as humanly possible.
Eat as much food as you possibly can.
Okay, if you want to get tall, make sure you eat meat and milk.
You can't eat milk unless you're using cheese.
Oh, you're right.
Eat milk. Eat milk. Eat meat. Eat meat. Drink milk. Drink meat. Eat milk. Drink meat.
Eat milk. Okay. Pass the bread. A carton of bread.
A little milk and a stick of bread.
A stick of bread. A Joe Derby.B.
