Where is Kate Middleton? On this week's episode, SK and Kam break down the drama surrounding the Princess of Wales and her recent exit from the public eye. Social media has been speculating about the circumstances of her disappearance, and whether or not the Palace is trying to cover up a scandal. Kam and SK debrief what they have heard, and also share their opinions on where Kate went. 

guys welcome back to another episode of the social skinny i'm skye and i'm here with cam heck yeah we're back we're excited we just got back today from spring break this last week um we went to texas got to show them around we went to austin and fort worth and dallas for a little while what'd you think cam it was a great time i had a blast this was my second time in texas and had never been austin had been to dallas and fort worth before but overall it gave to 10 out of 10 the weather was really nice we had a lot of great food yeah i mean the barbecue is unreal no literally never misses um and yeah i we brought um our friend audrey along with us and yeah we had a great time yeah it was crazy it was kind of um south by southwest was going on which is kind of like a music arts type festival thing so there

was a lot of live music and bands in town to play shows for that so that was super fun. We saw, we watched Dylan Wheeler play at Billy Bobbs in Fort Worth. Yeah, that was great. He proposed to his, I guess, now fiancee on stage. Yes, that was, didn't expect that to happen, but that was cool as heck. Yeah. I was disappointed. They were given out free tickets to see Josh Turner. But that was the night that Cam and Audrey were flying home. And there's also Giovanni and the hired guns were also coming to play at South Byrd. San Jose, that one venue we went to on South Congress, whatever. But that was also the weekend, like after we left, or it was this past weekend.

I guess I could have gone back by myself, but... You could have. It sounded a little depressing. Do you have a highlight of the trip, a favorite moment? Hmm. A highlight? I don't know, that's tough. Honestly, I'd have to say either...

I don't know, the barbecue's always really good. Mm-hmm. I think also shopping on South Congress. We met up with my little Shay. That was so fun. That was always a good time. And honestly, even though we literally stood there for like two seconds to watch that one band play, like that little key might have been my highlight.

So valid. All seven minutes of glory there. Yeah. No, that was cool. That was really cool. How about you? I think I really enjoyed shopping in Fort Worth, like in the stockyards. That was really cool. just the Western vibes.

I'm probably going to sound so ignorant. But that was really fun. I also, I guess we didn't really know even what we were walking into, but Rainy Street was super cool. We were walking to go to the coffee shop on the river, like walking through there and then getting the grilled cheese from the food truck on the way back. That was super fun.

I kind of liked it. It was a surprise a little bit, like the vibes. But yeah, overall, it was a great time. 10 out of 10 recommend Texas. Yeah, glad to hear it. Love the good promo always. Anyways, so this week, we are talking about someone who I did not until recently realize was even British. Our lovely queen, not queen, I meant like lower case of queen, like, sleigh queen girl, but not actually the queen.

But eventually, yeah. But Princess Catherine, yes. A.k. Kate Middleton is MIA. She's gone off the grid, AWOL, we don't know what's happening. No one knows what's happening. Yeah. So, Cam and I like have, you know,

seen stuff here and there, different conspiracies. And so we're going to talk about that today, sort of what we know, what we don't know, what we think happened. Yeah. We didn't really prep a whole lot for this. episode. No. Because we thought, you know, it'd be cool. So just to talk about it because anyone can go look up online like conspiracy articles and read them. Right. If you want that, that's what the internet is for. Exactly. And we're

not the internet. We're just, we just talk about it. Exactly. So we're going to hypothesize a little bit what we think happened. So Kim, do you want to like kind of start recapping with what we know happened? Yes, I'd love to. So basically, what I've heard is that back, I guess it was in November or October. Was it that? I heard like January. Maybe. I don't know. She had got, it was. See, we're already hearing different things. It was back either, okay, regardless, either, late 2023, early 24. The

like royal motorcade rushed to I believe St. Andrew's hospital in Britain. The motorcade just

January. You're so right. I don't know what I heard. There was something I had seen on an Instagram real talking about something that had happened in November, but I don't think that was related. Was that when Prince Charles

announced he was sick? Oh, maybe so. I don't know. I can't remember when that happened. But nonetheless, the Royal Motorcade rushed to the hospital, and I guess it was for Kate Middleton, and some people speculated that she had an abdominal surgery that was planned for that date.

Other people speculated that it was an emergency procedure, but essentially the palace ended up coming out of the statement saying, Yep, Kate Middleton is in the hospital. She's going to be here for a couple weeks recovering. And then she will go home and not have any appearances until Easter. Which obviously Easter has not happened yet. So you'd think, hey, they said she'll be ready by Easter. Nothing weird going on here.

She just had a surgery. However, there was a photo that was going, I guess it was released for Mother's Day. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And it was heavily edited. Right, yeah. So it was clearly photoshopped of hate with her arms around her kids. And this part is where I still don't even think it's that big of a deal because like if she is in the hospital and did have surgery and is like recovering, she probably doesn't like look and feel her best.

Right. So I don't understand. I mean, yeah, it's kind of weird. Like did you not have a picture just with her arms around it? Like why did you need to Photoshop one? I feel like you probably had to have had some sort of photo that you could have used. or just not release a photo. Yeah.

They could have just said, hey, she's been in the hospital. There will not be a Mother's Day photo this year. Wait, do they have a different Mother's Day from us? I don't know. They have to, like, they must. They must. Crazy. Because it's out.

Yeah. You'd think if she had, if she was going to be beginning to appear. Yeah. In beginning of April, they'd be able to get. a photo by May, you'd think. Yeah, seriously. Maybe they have a different. I guess we'll have to look that up in a second. They must. Like, I feel like you see on calendars and stuff like, blah, blah, blah, blah,

UK, blah, Canada, blah, blah, yeah. Like, depending on the holiday, you know. Right. No, so true. So, they probably hit for one. But it was released. I guess it was a really jank Photoshop job. I couldn't tell it first. I was going to say, everyone was saying this is like the worst Photoshop they've ever seen. I still don't really know.

looks wrong with it. Okay, if anything, maybe it looks like her arms are like kind of like longer than they should. Yeah. You know, but who knows it? Who has really seen her wingspan in real life? None of us. That's for sure. Yeah. Yeah. So I guess I saw a video where people zoomed in on it and really showed what was bad. I guess some of the lines are squiggly. And her hands are a little blurry. Like, yeah. There's parts of it where you're like, okay, it's been photoshopped. But still, it's not inherently incriminating. I mean, maybe not to the naked eye, but if you zoom in, if you look, it had some issues. And this is, I guess in my opinion, what really sparked all the speculation

about where is. Yeah, where is she? What's going on? Well, and then, I forget, um, I don't know the exact name. Basically, like, the equivalent of, like, their PR, the royal family's PR. I don't know. I heard. I didn't see it myself, but I heard from another influencer who's talking about this, that they basically then came out and released, like, a photo of, like, I don't know if it was, like, the back of Kate's head or something. But it was basically trying to claim that Kate photoshopped the photo herself.

I haven't heard this Okay I swear I like literally saw it today It's this one influencer I follow her She's so funny She like talks about social media stuff But she does like she explains it to her baby And it's like great for me because I like You know especially the rural family

Can be kind of hard to follow But yeah basically They try to say like Oh no that was just Princess Catherine Playing around on Photoshop Like she's like sorry God like it's me You know Like I was just trying to Photoshop

whatever, but like it's not, and then that made people even like more weird. That's so odd. Right. No, that's so odd. Oh, my goodness. Because it's like, why would you cover it? Why wouldn't you just be like, oh, yeah, sorry, we try to Photoshop a picture since she's in the hospital. But then it's like, this try to.

Yeah, I have no, I have no idea. The plot thickened. Yeah. So I guess amidst all this, there was another photo released, right? I don't know. one you're talking about. The photo of Prince William with Lady Rose Hanbury or whatever. Oh, she's like, no offense

to her, but supposedly like the Walmart version of Kate. Kate. I mean, have you seen her? Have you seen her? Yeah, they resemble each other. Well, I was going to say definitely right about the, you know, Walmart version, but, um, I mean, Kate Middleton's iconic. No, I know.

I'm just laughing. Even though I, like, literally thought she was American, but. So valid. I thought she pulled off like the heist of the century by getting married to, um, a future king but yeah so I guess now there's speculations that Prince Williams like having an affair that still doesn't really explain like why Kate would be out of the picture I guess what do you think happened to her I gracious I don't think there's even though unfortunately an affair doesn't sound completely insane given his father and you know the whole apple doesn't fall far from the tree kind of

thing. I think, but also that was like really, I feel like that was really traumatizing to him. You know what I mean? You'd think. Yeah. No, I 100% agree. That's, I get why people are speculating on that because they always say that, like, you've heard how people say that William is more like his dad. Like, that's why he, people say it's like karma for like losing his hair or whatever. Yeah. And then Harry, who's the better looking of the two brothers, is not, is like more like Diana. and that's why he's doing well and thriving and not losing his hair yeah i don't know that's what people say so once again that's all speculation also i feel like the theory that i believe the most is what people have said about her either having a hysterectomy or like doing something like that uh

because it even though she's 42 which is not too old at all to have kids but it's getting on the other side of bearing children, like of the threshold, I would say. So I would imagine the pub, they just don't want the public to know that she's not going to have the possibility of children anymore given, you know, like, they're like errors to the throne. And so she had a hysterectomy. They'll probably never say that she did. But she's recovering from that. That would be my guess. Yeah, I've seen a lot of those theories about the hysterectomy, definitely something to do with her, like, maybe reproductive health. I personally feel like she had a miscarriage. I mean, I don't know. I don't know how common it is for them to get hysterectomy and things like that. But I kind of, I don't really see

why she would get one. I had heard that she had, um... Oh, was having, like, problems? Yeah, I'd heard that she, whenever she was pregnant, like the three times, the kids, she had really horrible pregnancy symptoms. And so potentially also too, given that um, given that Prince or given that King Charles recently fell ill and that's probably going to expedite

the process of Kate and William becoming King and Queen that potentially they didn't want to worry about her being sick with another pregnancy. And so, they went the hysterectomy route. That's what I had heard. So that's sort of why I thought they were, or that's what she did. And they, as I said, they just don't want people to know

that she can't have kids anymore. Right. No, that makes sense. You know what I just thought about, which is totally, it's like on brain, but kind of a little bit off topic. Yeah.

As you were saying this, obviously this should be like so common sense but I've never thought about like this. That's like so sick. you'd probably be, like, to be excited, like, for Prince William to become king, like, his dad has to die. Mm-hmm. I don't know.

I've never, like, thought about it like that. I know. Isn't that horrible? And for Charles to become king, his mom had to die. Right. I mean, she was, she lived a very long life. Well, yeah. He, like, poor guy.

Well, not poor guy, but, like, you know. No, but I 100% agree that's actually so crazy and sick. It's so sick. Because he'd think, like, oh, I'm bound to be king one day. whatever, but like, okay, yeah, once, you know, your parents are dead. Yeah. It's insane. Or like, oh, for Prince Harry to become king.

Yeah, it's his brother and all of his children. So his brother and all of his nieces and nephews. That's, I mean, makes sense, like the plot of the Lion King, but it's so giving, what's his name? Scar. Uh-huh. Yeah. Like, duh. Yeah.

Which is just, it's crazy. So, not that Prince Harry wants that. I'm not trying to say the first. It's Harry's scar, but I'm just saying, like... I think his actions prove that he does not want that. I'm just drawing parallels. Yeah. Or I guess if Harry...

Or no, if he... I guess if he abdicated the throne, it probably would still go to his son. It would have to be before he had kids. If he, I think, if he abdicated the throne. Because that's how Elizabeth even ended up, Queen, was because her dad's brother

abdicated the throne. He became, I'm 90% sure from when I watched The Crown on Netflix that it was, which actually that sounds so uneducated that I, it was from a scripted Netflix show when this is like history. But I believe her, or his brother abdicated he became king and then he died young. That's why Queen Elizabeth became Queen so young. Gotcha. Lived super long time. So that's the crazy thing too.

It can like shift. Yeah. But going, not to change subject again, but going back to what you're saying about the miscarriage, honestly, I agree with that more now that I've been sitting and thinking about it.

It just, it makes more sense given, like, the timeline and how quiet it would be. Yeah. Because obviously it's a super hard. Yeah, I was going to go through. Because I feel like if it was a hysterectomy,

I don't know. I feel like it would almost, I mean, I get the sort of the, the emergency around it. Like, oh, she has to go, like that kind of helps not draw, like it draws attention, but it's also like a good excuse

to not have to give information is because it's something serious, you know, but I also feel like if it was a hysterectomy, honestly, I don't know what the recovery's like on that, but I feel like with modern, it's not, it's not like that many months, you know what I mean? Yeah. I think it would be, I mean, maybe if she wanted like extra time to get better, like, I feel like you could

do that more under wraps without calling any attention to it. Exactly. And the fact that it was sort of, like it was an emergency surgery type of thing. It's like, oh, if she like went into labor early or something, you know. Yeah. And then follow it up with like obviously letting her body heal from that and then having the time to psychologically heal from that. And so like setting that hey till after Easter, it's kind of like a way for her to be like, nope, just going to focus on herself and the family. Yeah.

And it could also make sense then why for Mother's Day she didn't want to take new photos. So true. Yeah. Oh, that's such a, such a good point. Mm-hmm. I haven't heard anyone say that yet. Really? No, I haven't.

I haven't really been, I mean, I've heard a little bit on the internet. Guys, I gave up, I think I said this last time I gave up TikTok for Lent, which was like my main form of social media news. But yeah, that's what, I don't know, that's what I think. No, my mind's kind of blown right now. Well, I'm like, I'm kind of, don't inflate my ego too much. No, that's such. I'm probably like missing vital parts of the information, but.

Well, and did you hear too, though, that, It's even speculation that it was emergency surgery. The only statement that the palace has released was they said it was a scheduled abdominal surgery. Wait, so it wasn't an emergency? People are speculating it was because the way they left like the... The way the motorcade was like going down the street and things like that, it was giving emergency. Like there was... Yeah, I think that has to be...

Okay, they were, like you said, they released it. Okay, they released a statement, but of course they're not going to be... They're not going to be like, we are in a state of emergency. You know, they're like, no, it's just so your average abdominal. So, you know, because, well, for the same, honestly, for the same reasons, they wouldn't want people to know about a hysterectomy. They also wouldn't want people to know if she was having trouble conceiving more children.

Right. Oh, 100%. And I've heard a lot of people say as well that, uh, I've heard people say as well that it's, this whole situation feels extra fishy too because, you know, literally hours after these royal women give birth, they're

dressed, ready, they're out on the steps of the hospital holding their baby. Most people, recovery is so, like, you don't do anything for a long time, because I have so much to, like, go through with your body, whatever, and then a couple hours later,

be in makeup, a dress, holding your newborn baby in front of essentially millions of people. So I guess that's kind of why people are really unsure about this whole thing. It's like, okay, the palace says she's not making an appearance until after Easter for a scheduled surgery, but you have a baby. Right. One of it's so scheduled. It's like, okay, how come you didn't like...

Cue people in. ...the public before. Yeah, it doesn't feel very scheduled, totally. I don't know. I guess it's only, what, two weeks, Easter? So we'll find out soon. Yeah. We'll have to update, everyone.
