The following is a special presentation of WRFH sports.
Crowd is roaring. It's a sold-out game here.
Takes the three. Got that one.
Two shots to layup, bounces off the left side of the rim.
Offensive rebound. Sidney Mills puts it back up.
And there's that size advantage, easy layups.
Still Charger basketball on Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM starts now.
Hello, we're welcome to Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM.
We have an amazing game between your Hillsdale College Chargers here at Don Timbets-Potter Arena versus the Cedarville Yellow Jackets.
It is a great day to be indoors, as it is, about 10 degrees outside, and I'm really glad this is basketball and not baseball, football, or soccer.
Starting
lineups for your Hillsdale College
Chargers is as follows.
Number 23, Annalise Petrusik.
Number 40, guard,
Emma Rulman, our center,
number 24, Ellie Bruce.
Another guard, number four,
Magdalena Solarski,
and number 15, final guard,
Maddie Smith.
This seven and five Hillsdale
college team was hot early in the
season, lost two games back to back, one against Kentucky Wesley in close game. But unfortunately,
they've been on the downslide looking to make back up a game against this 8-6 Cedarville team.
Absolutely. And you're charged, despite a 7-5 record of 5-0 at home this season. And like the two road
losses they just suffered, their last home victory was against Walsh University. This Cedarville
school team has 8-6, also 3-3 in G-MAC play. So,
should be a tight matchup.
Yeah, very similar teams here.
Shoot the three, very similarly.
Hillsdale shoots just a little bit better.
But overall, they're very, very similar teams in terms of play style and just in terms of matchup.
So this will be a very, very good game in terms of, hey, we're not out scheming you.
We're just to have to ask our players to go out there and outplay you.
But we are getting ready for the tip off right now as both teams are taking the floor.
Obviously, we did not get to play Cedarville in our football season.
they don't have a football team too lame so clearly that makes us the better school that's step number one and step number two
beating them in women's basketball so here we go with the tip is ellie bruce
ellie bruce wins tip back to em the rule and then passes it off to nattie smith ball up top cedarville in a man
defense but switching off maybe a two three match defense gets the ball in got it to ellie bruce under the basket layup is good and your score opens
two zero charges.
That was a great play
by
Ellie Bruce over Chloe Donning
number 10
for Cedarville.
And Cedarville has the ball
into number 10,
Chloe Donnering, and out to Sarah Lowry, the guard
who took it all the floor.
Passes out to Kate Bellheim.
Fagin.
Dribling in, kickout, three point,
seven seconds left on the shot clock,
dribble in, and layup is good by
number two, Sarah Lowry.
was a good move right there nice spin move
clock kind of winding down there
Hillsdale putting some good pressure on but
unfortunately I see if you're able to make a bucket
ball in the hands of Magdalene Slavski
one of the two twins on this team
passed it out to Maddie Smith
Annalise Petrusick for three
and it is no good
a rare miss for Annalise Petrusik
who is or who it was at one point
the third best shooter in the conference
ball in the hands right now up top
number two
Kate Belhing, dribbled in, missed layup, rebound at Gilles-Selarski.
You know, for a guard, she gets an incredible amount of rebounds.
Absolutely, yeah, averaging.
And the three is good by Annalise Petritsch.
Fowl and won.
So Annalise Petritschuk, chance here for the rare four-point play.
Petruzik adds adding to a 42% field goal percentage,
and almost 40% shooting spot from.
the three i mean that's incredible you could sit me out there from the three point line i wouldn't
shoot better than 30% wide open and and she's making this with with defense on her and well tired during
the game the free throws up and no good so a three point play it'll stay for annalie's peaches like
take out the ball is ella sellers for cedarville passes it off number 22 sarah lowly
Lowry, taking a dribble, tries to get a screen.
Pass to Ellis Sellers, and it's stolen by Emma Rulman.
Emma Rulman to Maddie Smith on the counter attack,
and the charges will set up the offense.
Step back, jump shot by Magdalena Sarski, misses,
but Ellie Bruce rebound, kickout, and stolen by the yellow jackets.
Sarah Lowry on the counter, Cedarville, LX2,
set up their offense.
Paxing the ball around.
Ball ends up in the hands of Kate Belheng.
Belling.
Taking on Petrusick.
Passes it off.
11 seconds left on the shot clock.
Takes up a three.
No good.
Rebound, Ellie Bruce.
That shot was blocked by,
or guarded by Emma Rulman,
who is a leader on this team,
on this defense,
and a multi-year captain for your chargers.
Yeah, she is the captain.
Her and Sidney Panasker going out there for the coin toss today.
Ball was attempted to be passed into Emma Rulman from Maddie Smith,
but there is a foul on the play.
Foul is a number.
number 22, Sarah Lowry.
And Ellie Bruce is going to check out of the game for Savannah Smith.
Inbounding the ball.
It's Maddie Smith.
Bruce and Smith, both over 6'3-3 and are great contributors for these chargers.
Team of the paint.
Yeah.
All inbounded to Savannah.
Savannah loses it.
It's hit by Cedarville, but Cedarville remains it before it gets out of
bounds.
All the hounds of Laker now.
Out to Downing and it's good for three points.
Downing shooting 42% from the three point line.
Another fantastic three point shoot.
The charges got to look out for it.
Yeah, ball in the hands of Swarski for the Chargers.
Passing about it.
Spana Smith and she's fouled on the way in.
That fouls by number three.
Samantha Tony for the Cedarville Yellow Jackets,
who is their only player over six foot.
who plays valuable minutes
and so they're going to want to keep her
out of foul trouble so they're stubborn her out early
ball imbounded by Maddie Smith to Emma Rulman
outside the three-point line
kicks his van Smith, face a three-pointer,
dribble drive, and the left-hand layup is good.
That makes your score 7 to 5
Hillsdale Charger Women's Basketball League.
Pest out for Cedarville to Emma K. Martin.
Tribble, handoff.
Gets the ball back.
taking on Silarski kicks out to downing downing with a fake shot clock at 10 seconds
dribble kick out shot by Martin shot by Martin no good Martin gets the ball back
though offensive rebound Cedarville hands of steel by Magdalena Solarski and gets the
ball to Emma Rulman Chargers and at least Peters have got on the counterattack quick
dribble and makes the fadeaway shot great spin move there by annelese petersaq 360 in the air amazing shot
all taking up for the yellow jackets hills still also playing man defense so both teams electing to play
man defense here early given back to lowry lawre started out as the point guard is not taking
the ball up since the first time martin martin takes a dribble lay up no good maybe a block by
mattie smith but great defense there nonetheless counter attack annelise petersick sidestep
Layup is no good, but she draws a foul.
Petrizzerzik, with five points already.
Looking to go for the sixth and seventh.
Something like the sixth and seventh points.
Make it kind of important.
It makes the fans cheer every time.
Especially the Sipsnites down here in the student section.
Shout out Nate Gallagher and Jonathan Williams.
Ah, yes.
The most interesting student section in America.
So Annalise Petrizzak here will have two free throws.
and the first one is good, which helps her free throw percentage,
which is currently sitting at 77%.
So already a pretty good free throw shooter,
but adding to that here with two made free throws.
All being taken down the court by Sellers.
Sellers.
Gets him into dribble.
Pass into Sandal, who shows the dribble back,
takes a shot and makes it.
Shot is good.
Two points for Cedarville.
Agilena.
To her sister, Amelia.
That twin connection right there.
Right, Delano for three.
And the shot is good.
Three points for your pistol charges.
Cedarville is some of the subs in the game, including...
Oh, back to Matt.
Dext Martin now.
Martin.
Passed it down to Sandal.
Sandal, triple handoff to Sellers.
Sellers gets blocked by Savannah Smith.
So she thought she had her beat.
Savannah Smith with the block and knocks out of bounds.
and we will go to a short media timeout.

Not 101.1.1.7 FM, yeah.
Hello and welcome back to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
Thank you so much for joining us for this amazing women's basketball game.
Scores currently 14 to 7.
Your Hillsdale College Chargers lead.
They are playing a game currently during our one minute timeout.
I'm not really sure what this is.
I'm pretty sure he's bowling, but I'm not really sure he's trying to hit.
I think he missed, though.
Oh, there's little holes over there.
He's bowling with a basketball.
Interesting.
Well, it sounds like he didn't do that good.
Yeah, it's okay.
He tried.
He could shoot like Petrusick and Slarsky.
I know.
You know, he's got to work on it.
But he did look like he was only about seven.
So he's got a lot of years before he commits Hillsdale College
and becomes the greatest basketball player ever.
As one does.
As one does.
I mean, shout out some guys who have gone D-1 from Hillsdale College.
Talk about Jack Golky, former legend at Hillstale College.
He was actually not the best player that year.
The best player was Patrick Cartier, who went to,
Colorado State, but he's more known because of that three-point run they went on for Oakland University.
The ball inbounded and stolen by Hillstale Chargers with a quick steal.
Analy's Petrusik passes it off to point guard, Magdalena Solarski.
Slarsky setting up the offense, gets the ball back in the hands of Petruzik,
who passes up the open three in the corner to Amelia Solarsky.
Amelia, now gets the ball.
Taking a couple drivels, gets back to her twin sister.
Maggie
Linder sister in the corner
three-pointer
and that twin connection right there
that's it
that's three points
that's Murielski
all in the hands of Sellarski
for Cedarville University
dribble kick out to Hubert
the sub in there makes the three
for the yellow jackets
and the score is 17 to 10
with three minutes and 50 seconds left
in this first quarter
on the hands of Magdalena Solarski
gets it down to Savannah Smith
excuse me that's Ellie Brewster checked back in
And the basket is no good.
Rebound Cedarville.
Cedarville with a quick break and misses the layup,
wide open layup for Hannah Mace.
But it is no good.
Unfortunately, just couldn't get her feet quite on the ground well enough.
And Cuddy Panasic taking the counter attack and draws a foul.
She will be shooting two free throws right here for your chargers.
This is a big thing for your chargers.
With Cedarville, just not having anyone of substantial height compared to Smith and Bruce,
you know, the chargers have seven.
and of their 17 points coming from the paint to Cedarville zero.
And that's been the difference in this ball game so far.
Absolutely.
Panasic makes her first free throw attempt.
Sitting Benasik a senior with the other captain today.
Not the greatest free throw shooter statistically,
but there's not a great sample size.
I remember last semester when there was a free throw competition with the women's,
and she makes the second.
Women's basketball always has a free throw competition,
and she made 90, I think it was 96 out of 100,
to win the free throw competition.
It's incredible.
Incredible.
Cedarville.
On the attack.
Hannah Mace again.
Basket is no good.
Rebound Hilsdale.
Ball and bounded.
Pass to Maddie Smith.
Excuse me, past to Maddie Smith.
On the hands of Amelia Smarski's
two to three and it's good.
Wow.
What a shot there by Amelia Solarski.
Slarski's combining for nine points outside the three-point arc.
So far just in the first quarter.
on the hands of Hubert
pass off to Sellers
Sellers taking a little bit dribble
Back to Hubert
Farted by Maddie Smith tries to get into the paint
And it's deflected by Ali Bruce
And sent out of bounds
So Ellie Bruce gets the tip on it
knocks out of bounds
But the shot cockler ran at 14
Shoot for shoot of him
Fallenbound and kind of drop there by the inbound
But she picks it back up I guess
Three point
Fink fake shot
Hubert
To Sellers
Sellers no good with the jump
and there will be a jump ball on the rebound.
Excuse me, there was a foul on the rebound,
and the Cedarville coach not happy about that one.
She wanted to jump ball.
Savannah Smith, Emma Rulman, and Silarski.
I'll check in, Ellie Bruce, Panastic,
and Petrazic, check out.
Oh, there.
Actually, Emma Rulman will not be checking in
because that foul is the fifth foul of the quarter,
and in women's basketball,
foul is reset every quarter.
So because of that, we only see Sidney and Panasik shoot two free throws first,
which is already two for two on the day before she comes back to the bench.
First three throw from Manassik.
Up and good.
Three is three for three on the day.
Like we said, not a great sample size for her.
She only shot eight free throws before this.
And she's three for four on the day.
Unfortunately, this is that last one.
Having a pretty good day today here.
Ball in the hands of Sellers.
Sellers.
You're going to dribble drives, and she gets fouled.
Let's see if it's on the shot or on the ground.
I'm going to have to be able to check into the game.
Yes, that foul is on number 13.
They don't have a 13.
That foul is on number 11, actually, Sydney Panasic.
So every before she checked out, I had to get one foul in there.
Understandable.
Simple trade-off.
The first free throw is good for number 11, Ellis Sellers.
Scores currently 23 to 11, Hillsdale lead, two minutes left.
And the second free throw is also good by.
Sellers.
Emma Rulman
with the inbound pass to Maddie Smith.
Seedville, putting on a light press here.
Trying to look for a trap, but couldn't get one.
Emma Rulman, try to take advantage of that.
And the ref makes a call.
Offensive fouls, I think he called that she got her
with her elbow in the face, but I
can't really see it from this angle, so I'm not really sure exactly what they call,
but they called an offensive foul there on Emma Rulman.
Cedarville, Sellers, has the ball.
getting it down.
Dissing it off to number 3024.
Alyssa Kincaid.
Back to Sellers.
Sellers taking the dribble, move,
and it's good.
The and one on Magdalena Solarski.
Ellis Sellers with an amazing drive there.
Cedarville, clever opportunity to get
Samantha Smith to trade off,
taking out the main defensive thread
currently in the paint
and allowing Cedarville to get the first paint points
so far today.
Yeah, it seems like their main strategy
is just to,
actually the free throw is.
up and no good rebound emeralman
Cedarville's main strategy is to get to their
big men and the trap is on and stolen by
Cedarville number two K-bang
misses the layup
rebounded by Cedarville again
and Cedarville has just stolen a possession
here all in the hands of
Behinge. Behinge, great
defense by Solarski, airballed
layup and the ball is going to be back in the hands
of your charger. So a surprise
ish press
and they finally got the trap there
against Sills
The charges just need to remain sound on defense.
K. Bearing going off the three-point line and just control the game.
You can't give turnovers on inbound passes.
Easily inbounded there by Hillsdale against the press this time.
On the hands of Petrusick, who's kind of trapped in the corner.
Gives it up to Smith.
Smith off her hands misses it.
Petersick with the chase down and forces Cedarville to at least set up their offense.
Dish ends number 10, Downing, and Downing makes it.
the layup. So Cedarville on a little bit of a run here with this press.
Ball in the hands of Cilarski. He tries to take around one-on-one. The trap is coming.
Gets the pass off to Pitcherzik. Passes to Rulman.
Rulman looking for a shot, can't find one. He gives it to Smith. Smith down under the basket.
Layup is good.
50 seconds left here in this first quarter of play.
So maybe one possession for each team.
And a ball for Cedarville's in the hands of Ellis Sellers.
Sellers, taking on. Petruzac.
Give us to the corner with the screen.
Three point, no good.
Call on the hands, Emma Rulman.
So four seconds separate the game clock and the play clock.
Maddie Smith, ball in her hands for.
Here are Hillsdale Chargers.
Petrusick, taking her time here.
I think Hillsdale wants the last shot.
Give Cedarville as little time as possible.
So 14 seconds now on the game clock.
Ball in the hands of Savannah Smith now.
Five seconds left.
Four, three on the game clock.
Play clock, excuse me, and there is a foul, and they call it charge on Annalise Petrusik.
So there are six seconds left on the game clock for Cedarville to score right here with an opportunity.
So it's going to need to be a quick basket.
And he'll still is showing a light press just to make sure that Cedarville has to touch the ball right away.
But want to be smart here, make sure that there's no fouls.
Ball inbounded to Sellers.
Sellers, three seconds left.
And the deep three-pointer is airball, not even close.
Yep, it's sellers was, the Chargers knew Sellers was who Seedville was going to go to for that shot.
She's shooting 39% three on the year, one of the best on their team.
And with that, we are going to go to a short break.

Basketball game here on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.1.7 FM here at the beautiful
Don Tibbitts-Potter Arena on this cold, icy day.
Nice to be inside.
And your Hillsdale Chargers have a lead 25 to 16 in starting this second.
and quarter off. Pitcherzick, been very hot for the Chargers, has at least seven points
to lead this charger team to an early lead. Cedarville, though, with the possession.
Ball in the hands of Sellers, Sellers. Gives it to Hubert, Hubert,
picking a dribble, kicks it back out to Sellers. Sellers with the dribble drive,
layup is good, rolls around there for a quick second. And Cedarville trying to hop on the
press quick, but Hillstell beats the best pretty easily. Oh, and they call it dribble dribble dribble.
on Sularski so Cedarville going to steal another possession here with that press that
press is true and troublesome for your chills of the college chargers both of these teams
historically this season have not played well on the road both being two and five but Cedarville
playing some feisty defense and get some turnovers when needed.
Hill still has a lead but going to need to learn how to break that press if they want to maintain
it ball in the hands of eight seconds on the plate clock all the hands of sellers sellers
with the shot no good rebounded Emma Rulman
Passes to Maddie Smith.
And Hill's...
Or, shoot me, Siderville was not pressed.
Smith.
He gives it to Petrazek.
Back to Smith.
Smith beats her man.
Deep jumper.
And it's good.
So Carlsdale has a lead.
27, 18, 9-point game here,
early in the second quarter.
And only is Petrizak.
Defending L.Sellers.
Sellers.
Cases to Downing.
Taking a dribble.
Looking for the big man.
Can't find it.
kicks it back out to Sellers.
Looking for a screen, gets one.
Deep shot by Sellers, and it's high off the backboard and good.
I do not think that was on purpose.
No, I don't think so.
You're seeing Cedarville.
They're not as tall as Hillsdale,
and they're struggling in the paint,
but they can shoot the three ball.
Slalarski, deep three, and it's good.
A corner through, excuse me.
Makes the three-pointer,
extending Hillsdale's lead to 10 points, 30 to 20,
Hillsdale with eight minutes left from the sudden.
Solarsky Splash sisters,
It's currently four for four from three.
Wow, that's very impressive.
Airball by Cedarville.
And they get their own rebound.
Nobody was expecting that one.
Sandel kicks it out to Mace.
11 seconds left on the play clock.
Mace.
Stolen by Ellie Bruce for the pass.
So they look inbound and Ellie Bruce has too much height
for this Cedarville team.
Cilarsky, taking on her man.
Draws a foul.
The foul on the ground here.
Fowl is by number 13.
Hannah Mays, that's your second.
That's the team's first of the quarter.
Women's basketball,
if you set every quarter.
Inspational. I learned that broadcasting.
I don't remember if that changed or if that's always been how it has been since I've been here,
but I did not know that the first time.
I was very confused.
Fallen Bounty, the Petrazek underneath the basket,
misses the layup.
Kind of a tough shot there.
On the reverse Cedarville.
Paul and Bounder to Laker.
Laker to Lorry.
Lorry, taking a dribble, taking on the big.
man Ellie Bruce kicks it out and throws it out of bounds.
Cedarville was looking to the guard was cutting there but was no longer where the pass was intended.
Yeah, she was trying to hit her man for a three and unfortunately she'd already cut away.
Sprinting away from the basketball.
Yeah, so Cedarville pressing here again, but not pressing Sularski.
So for some reason Cedarville lets them get the pass in.
Looks like almost kind of a half-court press, but they keep dropping.
back maybe dropping back into his zone here for the first time as soon as that pass gets in they try
to jumper but do not and the ball is stolen then by cedarville so they had beat the press but still
couldn't get the ball in deep shot here rebound cedarville again hillsdale letting cedarville
get these extra possessions ball in the hands of martin martin gets a screen kicks into 23 now hamann laker
laker with the three-pinter no good rebound hillsdale
Amelia Solarski
on the counterattack
kicks to Beecherzik
down inside
back out to Magdalana Solarski
pass to the twin and it's no good
rebound Emma Rulman
and it's no good again
Cedarville on the counter attack
with Laker
Laker
passes it to Hubert
to downing three-pointer
no good
so the three-point shot has not been
falling today for Cedarville
Downing, one of their best three-point shooters.
I don't think has made one yet.
Petrusik, hands the ball off to Amelia Slarsky.
It gives it right back to her.
Now in the hands of Emma Woolman, passed to Amelia.
11 seconds left on the play clock.
And there's a foul on number 10, and she is upset.
To say the least.
To say the least.
So Chloe Downing, that's her second foul.
Panasic checks in for Emma Rulman.
Excuse me, that's her first foul.
Yeah, Panasic does check out.
ball on the hands of
sularski
Mikelana slurski that is passing the inbound
gives to Pitcherzick on top of the three-point line
and the charges will set up their offense
to Magdalena Sulaski, three-pointer, good
because they leave the inbounder
and Pitcherzik finds it
and Magdalena Sularski knocks down a three-pointer
great shot there. Scores 33 to 20
Hillsdale Charger lead
Yellowjackets now
all in the hands of Lowry
Lowry taking the dribble, try to
to get a screen doesn't get one.
Pass to Laker.
Passed down into downing.
Downing, trying to take on Solarski.
Downing, basket is up and good.
So one of their taller players,
Chloe Downing at 5-11,
takes into the paint and able to make something out of it.
Amelia Solarski,
kick out to her sister Magdalena.
Great pass by Savannah Smith, one-hand grab.
But the basket is no good.
So it was a great job to snatch out of the air.
but unfortunately no basket
shot by Hubert on the other end
rebound in only's Petrus X.
Your score is 33 to 22
Hillsdale Charger lead.
For your chargers, pass down inside to Panasik.
Panasic makes the...
Oh, misses the layup, it rolls out of the basket
and we're going to have a foul on the Chargers.
That's Petrusick's second foul.
We are going to go to a short media timeout
with Hillsdale Charger lead 33 to 22.

Wow.
The women's Hillsdale Charger basketball team.
Scores currently 33 to 22.
Hillsdale Charger lead in mid-second quarter, four minutes and 50 seconds left.
Nobody in deep foul trouble, but Petrusich does now have two fouls.
And she does like to find herself in foul trouble every once in a while during these games,
Not uncommon for her and he'll still with a steal after a press all now in the hands of Magdalena Solarski
Passes to Maddie smith this crowd been kind of quiet today but starting to get into it a little bit here
Sularsky taking her man on a dribble passes it off to her twin Amelia
Amelia jibble step back back to twin twin twin kick out back into Ellie Bruce can't find it find out to
Amelia Solarski, three-pointer, no good.
And as three-pointer airballs,
as Jacques Hock expires,
and also charges are out of town.
After five straight, made threes by the Solarsky sisters,
one finally.
Well, that was two misses in a row.
That was two.
Five for seven right now.
Five for seven, though, between the twins.
And Hillsville sits back in their manned defense this time.
All in the hands of Martin,
first Cedarville, passes it to Sellers.
Sellers, with the basket in the block.
there by the Chargers
ball falls out of bounds
it will remain in Cedarville
it'll be Bruce's third block
so far tonight
and she does get a lot
a lot a lot of blocks
she's blocks are much more common
in women's basketball than men's
and Ellie Bruce
is one of the best
fall in the hands of Huber
seven seconds left
in the shot cockus excuse me
deep three no good
ball goes out of bounds
possession Hillsdale
Bruce playing like Shaquille O'Neal
in the paint
and towering over opponents like how he did
considering Cedarville has no meaningful minutes players
who are over six foot. She's saying it a confident six three.
Cedarville, electing to press here as we get themselves into the game.
My room one checks back in. So is Pitcherzick.
All inbounded the Petrizzerick. Pitcherzick takes her on.
Double team comes, gets it to Maddie Smith.
Maddie Smith loses the ball on the dribble.
And a turnover here.
Yellow Jackets.
dribble off her own knee.
By Sellers.
So Sellers, on a little of a break,
had Annalise Petrusick to beat.
Broke it off her own knee.
I'm the Rulman, inbounding.
Cedarville's still on the press.
Press proving troublesome for Hillsdale.
Petrusick beats it with a dribble.
Takes her on, kick out to Rulman.
Ruleman, three-pointer,
and it's no good.
Rebound tipped around and falls in the hands of Cedarville.
The yellow jackets.
Martin has the ball.
Martin,
kick out to Hubert.
Hubert for three, no good, rebound, Hillsdale.
Chargers.
On the break, Emilio Solarski loses the ball there, has to set up the offense.
Madi Smith for three, no good.
Steele by Amelia Solarski, or Magdalena Solarsky, excuse me, and that one is good.
They look exactly the same.
Can't blame me.
They look exactly the same.
Just different numbers.
But to steal there, great, great awareness by Solarsky, who is running back on defense and just
turn around and got her hand in there. Cedarville. On the return, there's a tackle there on the field,
and there's no foul. So a ball on the hands of Hillsdale. Not really sure what happened there.
Peter Zick on the counter, and the basket is good. Your score is 37 to 22 Hillsdale Chargers,
and with that point scoring run, Cedaville has elected to call a timeout, try to cool down the charges.
So we are going to go to a short break. You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
Today we'll be talking about a city named after perhaps one of the coolest people in American history, Houston, Texas.
Founded on August 30th, 1836 by land investors, the city gets its name from the general and politician Sam Houston.
Houston led Texas to independence from Mexico at the Battle of San Jacinto, just 25 miles from the future site of Houston, Texas,
and taking place months before the city's founding.
The city served as the capital of the Republic of Texas, which existed from March 6th,
2, 1836 to February 19th, 1846, before it became a 28th state.
Houston, the man, served as the president of the Republic of Texas for most of its existence,
and was one of the inaugural senators representing Texas after it became a state.
He is a long and impressive military career and was a respected quality.
Welcome back to Radio for Hillsdale 101.1.1.7 FM.
Your Hillsdale College women's basketball team currently leads the Cedarville Yellow Jackets,
22 to 37.
In Cedarville, we jump right back into the auction.
It's number two.
Bahing has the ball for the yellow jackets.
10 seconds left on the play clock and there's a foul.
Fowl is in number 21 Savannah Smith.
That is her first team second.
The foul be on the ground.
She's the silver of the yellow jackets would be inbounding the ball.
Hillsdale has been playing some great defense,
taking away the efficient shots, low shots for Cedarville.
But too many turnovers given more opportunity to score.
Deep three there by Bajing, no good.
Rebound Rulman almost falls out of bounds, grabs and turns, finds it in at least Petrazig.
Petritsik on the counterattack, finds a Solarski twin.
Back to Petrissick, and we set up the offense.
Trying to find that impound pass to the big man with the size advantage.
Inbounded his fan Smith, and basket is no good.
And we got a foul there by Emma Rulman trying to make a steal in the yellow jacket's end.
So with her second foul, Rulman checking out of the game, Benasik, checking back in.
The chargers are now pressing.
a one two two press trying to trap in the corner of the twins and they back off and play man
so really it's a light press they're just looking at see if it makes an error to get a steal
but they're not trying to give up any easy baskets as their defense has been very good today
and it is what's winning in this game is we get a deep three by sellers and off the backward and good
and I think that's her second shot high off the backboard from far away the bank is open the bank is open
for the yellow jackets today.
They have made more shots off the bank.
Actually, I don't know.
That's true.
And ball inbounded, or excuse me,
basket good by Magdalena Sularski.
The yellow jacket's possession.
Ball in the hands of Martin.
Martin.
Gives it to downing.
Downing back to Martin, dribble handoff.
She takes the basket.
Attacks the basket and the layup is good.
High off the glass.
Sheenerville, continuing this semi-aggressive press,
but this time peters like
beats it
three point are good by amelia
silarski
and there is another
basket by the slarski twins
20 seconds last in this half
he'll still winning 42 to 27
this will probably be the last possession here
for cedarville
for either one of these teams actually
triple drive kicks back out
three by number 13
hannah maize and the shot is good
two seconds left one second left
and the ball will not be
inbounded by the Chargers. So your
halftime score, 42 to 30,
Hillsdale Charger League. Great first half by the Chargers,
but there are definitely some rooms to improve.
Have a better second half.

I'm Christian Papillon.
In 1928, due to qualification,
issues, only 29 cars competed in that year's race out of 33 available spots.
Leon Duret took the pole with an average speed of 122.391 miles per hour,
joining him on the front row were Cliff Woodbury and Cliff Berger.
Dure took the lead at the start and dominated most of the first part of the race,
leading 59 of the first 62 laps before an overheating engine caused him to fall in the standings.
1927 winner George Sauters moved to the front and led for 16 laps before receding the lead to Jimmy Gleason,
who led 433 laps total, including a stretch from lap 97 to lap 135.
First year driver Louis Myers started 13th, but charged through the field, rising to fourth by lap 80.
With 20 laps to go, he found himself in third behind Tony Gulota and Jimmy Gleason.
The three drivers were two seconds apart on the track.
Gulota stalled in turn three on lap 181, handing will lead to Meyer, with a Gleason close behind.
Gleason's chances of winning were ruined when he took a pit stop on lap 195 to add water to his radiator.
A crew member mistakenly poured water on the Magneto, ruining the car and forcing Gleason into a 15th place finish.
Meyer led to the checker for his first Indy 500 victory.
He would win again in 1933 and 1936 to become the first ever three-time winner of the Indy-Festown.

Welcome back, everyone, to Radio Free Hillsdale, 11.7 FM.
We are at halftime here, women's basketball against Cedarville University here at Don,
Timith Potter Arena.
Your chargers lead 42 to 30 at halftime.
Some notable things from the game.
some of your point leaders
for your chargers
Slarsky twins showing out so far
they have
completed as a duo
have splashed
six of eight three point shots
and in total have 19 points
so far today
playing absolutely incredible
in the low post
Ellie Bruce and Savannah Smith are Dominique both with
two or more blocks
as well as at least three layups apiece for each of them.
And I think that's the best part.
The biggest advantage Hillsdale has is that, you know,
Cedarville does not have any, you know, active, you know,
players get many minutes that are over six foot at all.
Meanwhile, so it makes it even easier for Bruce and Smith to dominate in the low post.
You know, the Cedarville has yet.
to score a point in the paint.
Meanwhile, the Chargers have almost half of their points,
or at least a third of their shots made, are from the paint.
That so far has been their biggest advantage.
In addition to the elite three-point shooting out of really everyone.
Emma Rulman's made a shot.
The Slarsky Twins have all made multiple shots.
Petra's made several shots, and so far that's been a big difference for this game.
something to worry about for the Chargers that hopefully you know third year head coach for your women's
basketball team brianna brennan uh get sorted out just some of the turnovers they're struggling
against Cedarville's press defense and so you know they're taking away the high efficiency shots
forcing the decent at best Cedarville three-point shooters to take a lot of contested shots which has not
gone well for him so far
but with the turnovers and the
press coverage
they've been able to get more opportunities to score
those points and that's the big
biggest
thing in this game that's the one
advantage that Cedarville has
over the Chargers so far statistically
is eight turnovers
to just three
so that'll be the
biggest thing for the charges to look out for
absolutely we are going to go
back to a break and we're going to come back after half time.
You're listening to Radio for Hillsdale 101.7 FM,
Hillsdale Women's Basketball.
We'll be back.
Hillstow 101.1.7 FM.
My name is Evan McK. I'm here today with Gabe Thamar.
And you're listening to a very special broadcast of this Hillstale women's basketball game.
Scores, score is currently 42 to 30.
Hillsdale Charger Lead, led by Magdalena Sularski with 13 points and her twin,
Amelia Solarski, with nine points.
So between the two twins,
22 points
Oh, excuse me.
No, 22 points. That was good math.
Goes to education right there.
Hillsdale College, eddemication.
Also leading the team,
Analy's Pitcherzick with nine points.
On the other side,
for Cedarville, leading the effort is Ellis Sellers.
Somebody they're going to need to slow down.
One for one from three points.
Two for three on free throws.
And five for eight, field goals total.
She has 13 points for the yellow jackets.
two players combining for 20 of their 30 points.
It's two thirds.
That's another good math right there.
And so Hill still really just needs to slow down these two players so far.
That's all that have really scored for Cedarville.
And honestly, Hillstall's got a good lead.
More so than slow.
Their defense is playing great.
These two players are going to score points, right?
Great players in college basketball will get their points.
That's fine.
What Hillstone needs to do this half in order to maintain this lead is not.
turn the ball over when
Cedarville Press is depressed. It proved very
effective for Cedarville. I'm not really sure, but they
weren't a little bit more aggressive with it and tried it a little
bit more because of how well it was working.
The double teams, the jumps. They all got Hillsdale
a little bit flustered. They didn't throw a while
some bad passes, have some bad dribbles.
And especially when they thought they beat it
because they get past the double team,
they'll try to immediately look
down low and without even looking to throw a pass
thinking then it's going to be wide open and it just
wasn't.
Yeah, absolutely.
is doing a great job forcing Cedarville to take the low percentage shots.
They're giving up nothing in the paint so far, no easy layups, even on all the fast breaks.
Bruce has been in there blocking everything, sending it all into the stands.
Cedarville is having to take the three-point shots and the mid-range jumpers,
much lower efficiency shots.
Make him chase.
Make him put stuff up and luck into points.
We got a little sign from a little fan in the crowd that says we love number two and number four.
I'm going to assume that's a family member of.
The Silarskis, who were number two and number four.
Very adorable, very cute sign.
So second half starts, Hillsdale will get possession in this third quarter with a 12-point lead.
And try to hang on through these two quarters.
Ball inbound into Magdalene and Sularski.
Hillsdale has all their starters in.
Solarsky, Rulman, Smith, Maddie Smith, Fed is, Petrus, and Ellie Bruce.
Nice, Smith.
With the dribble, picks up her dribble, has to find a pass.
Finds Rulman, kicks back out.
Nine seconds on the play clock.
Three-pointer good by Emma Rulman.
The senior and one of the two captains on this team.
So Emma Rulman finds a basket, finds an open lane, and gets three points to start off this charge of second half.
And we're going to have a foul call, I believe, on Hillsdale College.
That fellow's on Maddie Smith, number 15, her first.
So she's nowhere near foul trouble.
The yellow jackets, inbounding the ball.
Passes up to number 10 downing.
Downing to Bain.
Bain.
Trying to find something.
Can't.
Takes another dribble.
Doing a lot of dribbling here.
Layup is no good and there's no foul call.
And the ball will be given to Hillsdale.
So she tries to underhand layup, tries to squeeze two and two players.
can't quite figure it out
and Sidiville not pressing here
very surprising with a 15 point deficit
ball passed out to Rulman
got a backside screen
up to Sularski
Analy's Petrusik being double team
finds an open Rulman
Wilman has her pass tipped
gets it down to Bruce though
and Bruce gets the ball stolen right out of her hands by Ellis Sellers
Sellers on the counterattack
taking on Petrzik
spin move basket is
falls and it's good
4532
Hillsdale Charger lead
first layup scored for Cedarville
comes on a coast to coast fast break
and it was a great move there
by sellers
pitchers like not easy to get by
but she stays smart and doesn't foul
so good defense there
but better offense
deep three pointer by Magdalena
Sularski and the basket is no good
on the counter is Hubert
kicks it back up
bang
bang gives it back to hubert two-man offense right here play clock at 12 seconds ball underneath the basket
great pass there and the basket is good by sellers sellers with almost 50% of her team's points so far right now
yeah i mean she is hills zelsk kryptonite at the moment on the hands of petrizick petricks on
and gets blocked.
So a great move there by Pitchie Juk to get past two,
but the third person comes up,
and that is Chloe Dowling and makes a block.
So downing with her first block of the game.
At 5-11, she is the tallest starter for the Cedarville team.
Currently guarding Ellie Bruce.
Ellie Bruce, pass, errant pass,
stolen by Lowry, Lowry with an easy counter-basket.
So an error there, mental mistake by the Chargers,
and we're going to have to call a timeout.
So we're going to take a 30-second time-out.

I mean, getting into our players there, so this is constantly our problem. We do not start the second half well, and we need to play better. We are having too many mental mistakes.
I turn over there, a unforced error. And here we go, while being embodied by Hillsdale.
We can have a better start for the second half. And there is a foul by Cedarville. So Cedarville with the press, fouling right away.
The Chargers
Defending a
Undefeated home streak to start the year
Currently 5 and 0
This is game 6 in Don to Bitzpottar Arena
Ball unbound to Maddie Smith
The transfer
Setting up the offense
Pass out to Petrazig
Petrizik takes her man on
Met underneath by some help defense
Pakes out to Rulman
Rulman open three-pointer and it's good
Your Hillstokel College Chargers
Leave 48 to 36
With 7 minutes left in this third quarter
Well, on the hands of Sellers.
Sellers.
Trying to make something happen with her dribble.
Step back, deep jumper, and it's no good.
Rebound. Maddie Smith.
Mattie Smith.
Passing up to Salarsky.
Solarski, take another dribble and sets up the offense.
And it's passed underneath to an open.
Ellie Bruce in the basket is no good.
But she is fouled on the way up on the second attempt.
So she gets her own rebound.
Great effort there by Ellie Bruce on her own miss shot.
and draws two free throws
Ellie Bruce did not have
the greatest of free throw shooting seasons
her first season but shooting much better
this year
63% from the line
63% so she makes more than she misses
and here's an attempt to make
that number a little better
first basket unfortunately
no good for Bruce
so he'll still
leads 48 to 36
possibly 49
with this free throw and a free throw
is good.
She knocks down one or two.
As Savannah Smith checks into the game.
Hillsdale College now.
Showing a press.
Looks like a half-court press.
They're not being super aggressive right now,
just putting some light pressure on,
waiting for them to cross half,
and then they're going to jump,
and they did not get it.
Sudafel with an easy basket under the...
So that's what you do right there
that's the risk of the press.
It gives us some easy basket sometimes.
Hillsdale College just...
not able to get back on defense.
On the hands of Maddie Smith,
passed out deep three by Annalise Petrusick,
bowels and basketballs up the rim.
Rebound Yellow Jackets.
Yellow jackets on the counter.
Able to find one extra pass,
one pass too many,
and we're going to have a jump ball.
So Hubert had the open layup,
but she was too far under the basket,
had to throw an extra pass,
and we get a stop there for Hillsdale with a jump ball.
Possession arrow, though,
is going to remain with Cedarville.
Cedarville, knowing the,
they can't shoot over this taller chargers team is trying to design quicker plays for the players.
Ball and bounder to Martin. Martin kicking it out to Sellers. Tellers trying to take on him in.
Kicks out for the three-pointer. Three-pointer, no attempt there. Fake shot. And they get the switch.
So number 33, Tony, their tallest players, not a smaller defender, but she takes a deep jumper.
what an odd shot.
So you have a
five or six inch
six or seven inch height
advantage and
unable to find a good shot there for Tony.
While with
Angelina Solarski, Emilius Silarski
both Solarsky twins currently on the floor
pass into Smith
and it falls on the ground and she turns it over.
Don't really know who that turnover was on
but the Martin
on the counterattack and nobody guards her.
So it wasn't really a fast
counterattack. She wasn't attempting to go with speed.
but nobody defended Martin
Hillsdale their lead
cut down to nine points
4940 with five minutes left to go
in this third quarter
Amelia Solarski with the dribble
kicks out to Rulman
Wilman long pass to Magdalena
Szilarski three-pointer is good
so you get a little bit of pressure
score starts to get a little closer
and one of the Solarski's knocks down a three
Hillsdale doing a good job maintaining
a 9 to 12 point lead for most of this game.
And that's the secret.
Maintain that double-digit lead going into the fourth quarter.
Don't let it be close as Sederville answers with a buck of their own.
A two-pointer.
And the inbound pass.
Kind of tough but good to Annalise Petritsik.
Petritschuk find Savannah Smith under the basket.
And the basket is good.
Great left-handed fade away by Savannah Smith.
Who is right-handed?
We've seen multiple times her being able to use both hands near the rim.
Great player she is.
Lowry takes a dribble, is now under a double team, gets the pass out to Solomon.
Excuse me, that was Sellers.
And Sellers knocks down another high off the glass three-pointer.
So Cedarville, who is not shooting very well, is getting a little bit lucky here.
Aldoos, Emilius Salarski, Solarski, three minutes left in this third quarter.
Hill still has a nine-point lead.
Magdalene is Solarski now setting up the offense.
nine seconds left from the play clock gives it to
Roman Roman, Rulman, semi-deep three and it's good.
Three straight, made threes for Emma Rulman here tonight.
So Cedarville needs to stop the Hillsdale from shooting that three-point bucket.
They have been hot tonight and they have been open.
And Cedarville finds an easy layup under the basket
and Hillsdale's defense is kind of falling apart here.
Played great defense in that first half,
but giving up 17 points here early in this third quarter.
Amelia Sularski kicks out to
Rulman in the corner
Rulman in the corner
Another three-pointer is good
Take that back-to-back
for these on back-to-back possessions
For your women's charger captain
So Rammar Rulman
Hot from three
Cedarville tries to answer with a three from their own
Airball, rebound Magdalena Sularski
So despite the
lack of defense this quarter
For your Hillsdale College Chargers
The offense has been hot
And they have been shooting the ball
extremely well and not only shooting well
but they're finding open shots to shoot
not just hey we're throwing up a prayer and it's going in
kick to Magdalena Solarski for another open three but she fakes
trying to take in the dribble and she gets an easy
layup the offense is hot
you make the three-pointer you make people jump
you hit a little pump fake
easy pickings right there
ball in the hands of Hubert
Hubert
looking for a pass can't quite
find one finally gets one loudly
And we get a screen here.
Screen, kick out.
Hubert takes in herself into Tony.
The 6-3 center.
Kick out to Martin.
Back to Tony in the basket is good.
That introduction of Tony, the redshirt sophomore
to Delaware, Ohio at 6'3.
She is just as tall as your tallest chargers.
Those del beats the press,
finds Amelia Solarski open, and it's good.
Another basket by these Tularski twins,
another three-pointer.
I believe that is now eight, eight threes between the twins.
And we are going to get a timeout as everybody's going to come off the floor.
That was a very, very long extension of play.
And we're going to go to a short break.
You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7.
On check.
AI might not take your job, though it may make you do more work.
Artificial intelligence at the workplace is yet another topic for discussion
at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in a year where
a gentic AI, the type of AI that does stuff for you,
is expected to push further into the business world,
and it may help you do a better job.
You spend 20% of your time looking for files.
You spend 20% of your time populating systems.
You spend 20% of your time.
And by the time you get to it, you spend 15% of the time actually doing work.
Scott Ehrlich is chief of innovation at broadcast giant Sinclair.
He says AI is beginning to handle repetitive tasks,
so employees can get things accomplished.
And so there's army of people that literally do a lot of copy and paste, copy and paste, copy and paste, copy and paste.
Well, now we have agents that can do that.
The tech has been experimental, but soon it is to be affordable to all sizes of businesses.
With Fox on Tech, I'm Eben Brown, Fox News.
I'm back to Radio from Hillsdale 101.7 FM for this special broadcast with your Hillsdale Women's Charger Basketball.
Hillstell currently has a 65 to 49 lead over Citerville University Yellow Jackets
with one minute and 21 seconds left in this third quarter of play.
Very high-scoring games in your chargers who usually only score 60 points in a game.
Currently at 65, very hot for three-pointed.
Cedarville tries to get hot from three.
Misses.
Rebound number one, Peyton Atkins, her first time in the game.
Ball is passed down into the paint for Ellie Bruce.
And one is good.
So Bruce gets two and she's going to get a free throw.
Bruce, one of the biggest improvements to our game from year one to year two
was her efficiency at the free throw line.
After struggling as a freshman, she's now shooting over 63% from the line this year.
And she will have a chance to improve that with one more free throw here.
The story of the game night for your chargers.
Magdalena Sularski, four for five from three.
And the basketball is good, the free throw.
Emma Rulman, four for five from three.
And Amelia Slarski, my Glynner's sister, twin sister, is four for six from three.
So my Gleynette does have a little bit of bragging rights, four for five, but we'll see how that ends at the end of the game.
Hillsdale currently in a zone defense instead of a man defense.
And the three-point shot, that's how you beat the zone, is no good, but rebound.
Yellow Jackets.
Another layup, no good.
Rebound, Chargers, Maddie Smith, with the dribble.
Passes it to Peter Zick.
Peachesick taking on her man, beats him.
But the help is on the way.
Passed down to Ellie Bruce.
Basket, no good.
And there's a foul on Adkins.
So trying to be aggressive and go for that rebound.
Adkins does not get it and fouls.
Your charges leave 68 to 49.
16 seconds left in the third quarter.
And like I was saying, the story of the game,
these Toularski twins.
are a combined eight for 11 from the three-point range.
They are killing it right now, and big reason why Hillsdale's dominated.
Ball in the hands of downing, downing.
Gives them to sandal, seven seconds left in the game.
In the quarter, excuse me, not in the game.
Shot by Cedarville, no good.
One second left in the game in the quarter?
Wow, and it's no good, and I've got to stop saying game.
But that's it for the third quarter.
One quarter left to play in your Hillsdale College Chargers are dominated.
18 to 49. We'll be back. You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
Welcome to the Grammar Minute, where we're saving the English language 60 seconds out of time.
I'm Lauren Smith, and quotation marks are not used to create emphasis.
People often use italics or bolding or caps lock to indicate that something is super important,
especially on signs. Think, do not enter. Those are all correct ways to indicate emphasis,
though they're not appropriate for formal full-length writing projects.
The wrong way to indicate emphasis is to put the phrase in quotation marks.
When used to indicate something besides a direct quotation,
these marks are called scare quotes,
and they typically indicate some kind of irony or sarcasm.
So do not enter becomes do not answer.
For short messages on signs, you can use italics, bolding, larger font,
colorful font, or caps lock.
For longer, more formal writing,
structure your sentences to make the emphasis
clear without resorting to fancy fonts.

Welcome to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7.
You're currently listening to the Hillsdale Women's Charger Basketball.
Currently beating Cedarville Yellow Jackets, 68 to 49.
So your Hillsdale College Charters have a big lead going into this fourth quarter.
So one quarter left to play, Hills Charger with possession.
And, you know, you don't want to get stacked.
here. That's the fear is that your offense starts to slow down too much. It's still early in this
quarter. You've got to be aggressive until you get about four minutes left and then you can start
counting possessions. Ball in the hands of the captain, Emma Rulman, Rulman, finds Maddie Smith.
Maddie Smith kicks it up to Szilarski. He finds Rulman back to Annalise Pieterzik.
Six seconds left in the shot clock. Shot clock, Anelice Petruzik tries to make it something
happen and she does, but it misses, unfortunately. So good take there by Petersig, but rolls out.
She will look and move quickly
and they do
three-pointer by downing. Downing is good
as the
Yellow Jackets cut the lead
to 16 points.
The Yellow Jackets is going to make a lot happen
they're pressing here to start this
third quarter or start this fourth quarter
Hillsdale needs to get
across and they do
the balls in the hands of emeral
moving to Petrazek
Petrizik
looking to make a move
Maybe take a three-point shot.
Can't find one on the switch and screen.
Up to, down to Emma Rulman in the paint, and the basket is good.
So finds Emma Rulman in the paint for a wide-open basket.
Great boxing out there by Rulman to get herself in perfect position for that pass.
Ball in the hands of Sellers for the yellow jackets.
Yellow jackets.
Fake three-pointer.
Doesn't get one.
Kick out to Bain.
Bane.
Sellers.
Sellers, taking on enjoyable for the yellow jackets.
Five seconds left on the play clock.
And the ball is deflected in deep three by Sellers.
That's all she can do.
And the basket does not hit the rim.
And the shot clock runs out, so it'll be Hillsdale College basketball.
So Savannah Smith checks back from the game for Bruce.
Moulman with the inbound.
Cedarville, hard pressing now.
Finds an inbound to Maddie Smith.
Looks for the double team, doesn't get it.
And pass down the court to Petersick.
Petrusig.
Out to Magdalena Solarski.
Maggie to Maddie.
Maddie Smith.
Back to Sularski.
Find Savannah Smith under the basket.
She's going to take her man on,
take a dribble and make the layup.
So currently a 20-point lead for your Chargers,
72 to 52 as your Chargers are shooting the lights out today.
Great offensive day for the Chargers.
Absolutely.
Multiple players shooting 80% plus from the three-point line.
Incredible place with all.
And we have a mental error there as a travel by Hannah Mays.
not really any pressure on her.
They can try to make something happen,
but takes a couple steps before she starts dribbling.
Can't do that.
Amelia, the other Solarisky train,
checks into the game.
We have a football tight pass to Petrazek.
Petra Zik, finds ruling back.
Petrizek, step back, face the three.
Makes a move, and jumper is good, great move there by Petritsik.
That's why she's the team leader in points.
Absolutely.
Searle has no answer.
for the guards for hillsdale which is funny because you thought coming into this game that
hillsdale was going to use their size as number 33 samantha tony only person to see if they're
over six foot as the yellow jackets making and one the basket's good by sandal
gonna get a free throw right there but you thought coming into this game because samantha tony
doesn't play that many minutes she's six three transfer but she's not a huge part of their
offense or their defense for the yellow jackets.
You thought that this game was going to be all in the paint points and it turned out
that it wasn't.
Absolutely.
And Cedarville has all facets of the game.
The paint's wide open and they can't guard the three either.
Free throw is no good for the yellow jackets.
And Petrusik.
Trying to take on a double team and she does.
Gives the ball to Maddie Smith.
Fines Magdalena Solarski on the counter.
Unable to get it kind of dropped.
Passed out to Emilio Solarski in the bank.
is open for the Chargers too.
Slarsky pulling a seller's strategy from Cedarville.
Yeah, nice and high off the glass.
For Cedarville.
Reagan, Hebert, with the ball.
Passes it out to Martin.
Martin.
Basket no good.
Misses the layup, rebound Hillsdale.
Set up the offense now, take your time, but avoid this press.
Able to beat it.
Hands the ball of, all the hands of Magdalena, Solarski.
Solarski, two Wilman, 18 seconds on the play clock.
23 point lead for Hillsdale with six minutes left in this fourth quarter.
He'll still looking to take up all this game clock now.
Deep three by Petruszik and it's no good off the front of the rim.
On the hands of Hubert.
Hubert fouled by Emma Rulman.
So Rulman with the foul, but he'll be on the floor.
So nobody was shooting, no harm, no foul.
Not literally because there was a foul.
Rulman not only playing great defense, but also has,
14, 7, and 2 assists.
That is Wilman's third foul, so they are going to check out of the game.
Not quite in foul trouble yet, but getting there with five minutes left,
or six minutes left to play in this fourth quarter, excuse me.
Hillsdale leads 27 to 54, and the ball passed off the top of the rim back to the inbounder.
I'm not really sure what happened then.
But Hillsdale steals it, and there is a foul.
That was a very confusing play.
Yeah, not quite sure what happened there.
And somehow Hillsdale will be endowning it on the top of the basket.
So I think they went back and gave them the ball earlier.
Not really sure what quite happened, but the main thing is that at Hillsdale College's possession,
as Sederville going to check in Kincaid.
They're 510 forward for their center, trying to put a little speed in the lineup.
and the ball is deflected by the Cedarville yellow jackets
who's going to remain with the Chargers.
Panasic passing this ball in
trying to find Maddie Smith
can't find Sularski
and there's no foul call
this ball hits out of the hands of Sularski
three-pointer for Cedarville no good
and the ball is hit out of bounds
by the yellow jackets so it's going to go back to the Chargers
77-54 is still our score
But Chargers got to be careful here against this press.
Ball inbounded to Magdalena Solarsky.
Szil, looking to double team.
Can't.
Gets the ball to Maddie Smith.
She's going to be very aggressive here, down big in this fourth quarter.
Mattie Smith with the fake pass.
Kicks out to Panasik.
Panasik for three, it is no good.
And there's going to be a foul on Amelia Sularski.
So that's her first foul.
Teams third of the quarter,
which means that they only have two more fouls left till the double bonus.
There is no single bonus.
Ball inbounded to Lowry.
Lowry.
Able to beat the press.
It kind of sinks into this zone defense again.
And that two, three defense.
Trying to take on that two three defense with dribble and a pass to Kincaid.
And the basket is good for Kincaid.
So Hillsdale's lead cut down to 21 points.
Hillsdale able to beat the press.
Three-pointer by Amelia Slarski, no good.
The Slarski is combined for 33 of your charger 77 points tonight.
Just incredible game by the two of them.
And Cedarville misses a layup, rebound Maddie Smith.
Looking for the double team.
They don't get it.
Baller's Emilia Silarski, passes to Madi Smith, kicks out to Panasic,
three-pointer wide open, and it's no.
No good hits the middle of the rim and unfortunately falls out.
She is usually a pretty good three-point shooter, but unfortunately that one cannot fall.
And there is going to be a foul on Panasic there.
As Hillsdale is going to check back in with their starters, Emma Roman, Annalise Petrusick, and Ellie Bruce.
Peyton Adkins also going to check into the game.
So Hillsdale currently leads 21 to 56 with four minutes left in this fourth quarter.
As we are going to take a short media timeout, you're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale.
101.7 FM.
Telling the stories of those who have been awarded the Medal of Honor.
This is Minute of Honor.
Here's Jinnah Suhita.
On June 6, 1918, Gunnery Sergeant Charles Hoffman was serving near Chautau-Tierry, France.
His company had taken Hill 142 and was attempted to consolidate their position.
But immediately after taking the position, enemy forces began launching several hostile counterattacks against the line.
Sergeant Hoffman was attempting to organize a position on the north slope of the hill
when he saw 12 of the enemy armed with five light machine guns crawling towards his group.
Given the alarm, he rushed towards the hostile detachment,
bayoneted the two leaders and forced the others to flee, abandoning their guns.
His quick action, initiative, and courage drove the enemy from a position
from which they could have swept the entire hill with machine gunfire
and forced the withdrawal of American troops.
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity above and beyond the call of duty,
gunnery Sergeant Charles Hoffman received both the Navy Medal of Honor
and the Army Medal of Honor.
This is Minute of Honor on Radio Free Hillsdale 101 points.
Hello and welcome back to you ready for Hillsdale 101.7 FM for this charter women's basketball game.
Hillsdale currently leads 77 to 56 with four minutes left in the fourth quarter.
So Hillsdale got a little bit of wiggle room.
Just can't do anything too dumb, too many times.
While inbounded to Kincaid, GKade goes for the layup, no good, but she is followed by Ellie Bruce.
Bruce with five blocked shots tonight so far.
Ruffs get her on that one, though.
Yeah, five block shots.
first foul of the game so very
impressive night for Bruce defensively
and that's been big story
Cedarville not able to get many points in the paint tonight
other than those couple wide open
layups early in the third
quarter. The free throw
for K's no good
looking like a good foul here for the Chargers
and she turns around and takes her time
very dramatic
three point or free throw routine
let's see if it works for
shot is up and it's
no good.
A rebound Cedarville.
Number 22, Lowry.
Lowry gives it to Martin.
Martin back to Lowry on top and sets up the offense.
Calling for the ball in the middle is Kincaid, and she gets it,
trying to take on her man and she scores.
Two-point basket there for the yellow jackets.
19-point lead Hillsdale.
The press is on.
Gets the ball in the hands of Wilman, Rulman.
Drops the first set, gets it back up.
Maddie Smith.
Pass to Analy's Petrusik.
Petrus Zick.
slowing down the offense.
Rulman gets the ball down to Ellie Bruce.
Ellie Bruce, no good for the basket.
And she's going to be fouled on the way up for the second.
So first basket, no good, gets her own rebound,
pulls up again, and she gets fouled.
So we're going to be shooting two free throws right here for Ellie Bruce.
And, well, that's it.
We're going to be shooting two for the free throws for Ellie Bruce.
Kincaid actually had never shot free throws this season going into this game.
Meanwhile, Bruce, for your chargers,
63% for the line.
So, K, Cade, zero for zero, now zero for two.
Unfortunate start to a free throw career for the season.
However you want to say that.
And the basket is no good.
So the second free throw is missed.
First three throw made, second free throw missed,
but the ball goes out of bounds and Cedarville gets a hand on it.
So a ball is going to remain with your chargers.
Hillsdale, 20-point lead, three minutes, 30 seconds left here in the fourth quarter.
Start counting the possession.
your time right here looking for the double team cedarville
ruleman beats it finds a pass to petersig
kicks up to mattie smith petersick wide open three-pointer and it's good
you cannot leave one of the best shooters in the conference that wide open
no and cedarville is adamant on double teaming whoever has the ball and it leaves a shooter
wide open always and if you were going to leave a shooter wide open i would not leave
open and at least petersig ball in the hands of of solomon checks in for the
And the basket is good for the seat of the yellow jackets.
So the yellow jackets.
Charter lead now 21.
Passed down to Peyton Atkins.
Lay up no good.
Rebound chargers.
17 seconds as the play clock resets.
Ball in the hands of Maddie Smith, taking her time.
Not even dribbling yet.
Now gets it out to Peachesick.
Petra Zick.
Eight seconds left from the play clock.
Step back, three-pointer.
Hits off the front of the rim, no good.
Might have got a hand on that.
that might have been blocked, not really sure.
Pass up to Lowry.
Lowry.
dribbles in, drives, and is fouled.
So Bassie is no good, but she will be two free throws.
Fowls on Annalise Petrusik, which is her third of the game.
As Amelia Solarski, Panasik, and Savannah Smith, check back in.
So Hillsdale, hanging out to her cruising with a 21-point lead,
with two and a half minutes left to go in the second quarter.
You feel really, really, really good about it.
But stranger things have happened.
So just be careful.
There is no...
You can't let mistakes pile.
You can have a mistake here.
That's okay.
Can't let mistakes pile on top of each other.
As both free throws are good, cutting the lead down in 19.
Laker, checking into the game for the Yellow Jackets.
inbounding the ball is Panassik.
Panasic. Finds
Galena Solarski.
Agilana back to Panasic.
Able to beat the press. So we're across half court.
It's Savannah Smith.
Savannah Smith. Fadeaway jumper.
And it's good. Fasset falls for Savannah Smith.
So 21 point lead again for Hillsdale.
Two minutes and eight seconds left.
In this fourth quarter, high scoring game for the Chargers.
We'll average about 60, 65 points.
And here they have 83 tonight.
That is the men's basketball team who plays right after us.
Don't forget, we will be around.
Well, Gabe will be around to the men's basketball game.
So keep listening to Radio from Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
As the Yellow Jackets shoot a three, no good, get their own rebound, miss a layup.
And the Chargers get the rebound.
One minute, 30 seconds left, as Hillstill has a 21-point lead.
And that looks like it's going to be it for the yellow jackets.
That was the last effort.
and he'll still going to be able to take a lot of dribbles
waste this clock down to one second
Cedarville's not even double teaming anymore
Solarski going to take on
on the dribble lay up no good
but you got a 21 point lead so that's okay
absolutely
ball in the hands of Martin
kicks out to bay
minute three seconds left in this game clock
remember the men's play at 730
so stick around for that one is there
Hillsdale Steel.
Let's slow down this office, dribble out this clock.
One minute left in this game for your charge.
So let's talk about some of your high scores.
A great game tonight from both the Sularski twins,
5 for 8 and 4 for 5 from the 3 point line.
Amelia Solarski had 15 points.
Magdalena Sularski, 18 points.
There's 28 seconds left in this game.
Third high score, four chargers in the double digits tonight.
So Amelia had 15, Magdalena, 18, Rulman, 14, and Petrusik, 14.
That's the strength of this team, the reliability.
Everyone trusting each other, they can make the plays necessary to win.
Excuse me, 5 players in the double digits.
Savannah Smith with 10.
So very high scoring and able to get bench points out of their center, as always.
Cedarville shoot a 3, and it is good.
And they are going to ask to reset 6.5.
on the clock.
So there were 14 seconds and the
rough wanted to add two.
Give Cedarville a chance to come back from this
18 point
deficits. I mean
in 17 seconds that's possible and 14
it's not.
16 seconds.
You were chargers.
Zularski, dribbling out the clock and that
will be a win for your
Hillsdale College Chargers. So a dominant
performance by Hillsdale's offense
winning 83 to 65
great shooting day all around.
And please speak around for this men's game at 730
as game tomorrow will lead the charge
with your Hillsdale men's basketball team
on the broadcasting side.
Some studs on this men's team,
but some studs on this women's team as well
with a dominant win.
They now improve to 8 and 5 on the season
and then re-spark their hot streak.
Thank you for listening to everything.
We'll be back.
You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale
101.7 of them.
