Yeah, Lauren McDonald looks to beat the press because Cedarville already pressing very early in this game
and a nice little zone press, kind of a diamond-type formation.
As Hill still beats it pretty easily.
Lauren McDonald takes it all the way of the basket, jumps it off to Ashley Conkel,
who unfortunately misses the layup, but Lauren McDonald grabs the rebound,
kicks it out to Sidney Panassik, up to McCormick, who takes a drive,
dribbles and unfortunately misses the layup.
Heavily contested there, some pretty good defense.
It was a good move, but unfortunately she did not finish the shot.
Cityville on the other end.
Passing the ball up.
She's Cat, Cat Weekly.
Weekly.
Out's a butterball.
DeVille really trying to move that ball around.
Yeah, a lot of movement.
Out to Kyle who gets, is that ball tipped there?
I'm not sure, but he was an air ball as it traveled towards the rim.
It's out of the other side.
There's going to be a travel.
Hold on, Kenham McCormick.
She took an extra step trying to get that jump set, but didn't quite get her feet set.
Unfortunately. Yeah, just a little bit out of control there.
Cedarville.
Ball up. Leah Butterbaugh, taking the ball up.
Playing the one.
Calling out to play.
She's going to have to pick up her dribble, though.
Great defense there by Lauren McDonald.
Pass out to Kyle.
Casey Kyle.
Kyle out to Butterball.
Butterball.
To Zaycheck.
Zaycheck with the dribble and the missed layup and then rebound Cedarville,
but another miss shot and Lauren McDonald grabs the rebound.
Not able to take it.
take advantage of the offensive rebound there.
Yeah.
And there's going to be another travel on Kendall McCormick.
Two early travels for the Chargers here.
Back-to-back travels on Hillsdale.
Don't see that every day.
No, something that they're going to want to get rid of.
You don't want to be turning that ball over freely.
I mean, if Cedarville's going to make a great play, they're going to get some steals,
but you can't just be turning it over on your own end.
As the ball is going to go up to number 34, Cat Weekly.
Weekly.
Out's a butterball.
Butterball.
back to Zaycheck out in the corner to Nailahela Hale
Hale passes it off seven seconds left from the shot clock
because weekly is going to take a short mid-range and jennam missed
great defense there by the chargers no open shots
McDonald's going to kick it out to the corner back to McCormick
getting the ball in the hands of McCormick down to Panassick
Panasic with a little fade away from the block and she makes it
Hillsdale is now four to three with seven minutes left to go in this first quarter.
Great awareness there by Panasic to find a soft spot in Cedarville's zone and take advantage of it.
Yeah, Cedarville.
Going to come down and take an early shot.
Rebounds going to go to Panasic.
Panosic, now with the ball on the offensive end, kicking it out to Sidney Mills,
who passes it under Ashley Conchle.
Great pass and great wide open layup right there.
It was a great find by Sidney Mills to have an easy basket for Ashley Conkle.
Yeah, Hillsdale's offense dominating the pain so far in this one.
And they definitely do have the size advantage here.
As number zero, Breonna Zaycheck is going to take it in pretty easily.
Score on the chargers, making it six to five.
Hillsdale lead.
Hillsdale breaks Cedarville's press super easily.
Pass up to Lauren McDonald.
Lorne McDonnell for three, and she's going to sink the shot.
Excellent shot from McDonald.
In rhythm, no hesitation.
Yep, calm, cool, confident.
This ball is going to go up.
Missed shot by number zero.
Rihanna's A-check
Seychickel.
Cedarville's slow to get back on defense here.
Yep.
Citi Mills.
Sorry, Cini Panasic with the ball.
Out to Lauren McDonald's going to take a drive.
And they're going to call a charge on her.
Offensive foul on Lauren McDonald.
Oh, wow.
I thought they were going to call a blocking foul there.
I think she's just as surprised as we are.
Unfortunate for them, though, because she made the shot, too.
So that would have been a possible three-point play for McDonald,
who is a great free throw shooter.
So some great defense there by number 22.
Casey Kyle to draw the charge.
Conchle, McDonald, and Mills sit down for the chargers.
Yeah, he'll still going to get some subs in,
including Caitlin, the big three-point shooter.
Cedarville going right after Splane.
Trying to take advantage of her in the post.
It doesn't work.
Splane with the rebound there.
Great rebound under the basket after a missed three-point shot.
She's going to dribble.
Look to move the ball.
ball quickly and she's going to draw a foul
at number zero brianna zaycheck
yeah zaycheck just a little bit
too aggressive there as
Caitlin Splain was quickly moving it up
the floor yeah Splean
sometimes the starter for this Hillsdale
team depending on the look that they get
she comes off the bench though and and everybody's
worried about that three point shot from her because that's what she
does best for sure
Kevin McCormick pass out to
Emma Rulman
Rulman down to Splain
double teamed in the post to Splean
Spleyne dribbles it out
Out to the three point line takes a drive
Takes a little step back
And misses the short jumper
Yeah good defense there by the yellowjack
It's not Splain moving around a lot
But not getting any open looks
As a three pointer is up by Nila Hale
And rebounded once again by Caitlin
Splane
Splane up to McCormick
McCormick back to Splean
He shoots the three pointer
And misses it
But offensive rebound
and I believe they're going to call a foul on Cedarville on the rebound
as a rebound was going to be grabbed by Savannah Smith.
There was a nice little reaching foul.
Number 10, waterball.
So you're going to go to a short media timeout.

Women's basketball team leads Cedarville 9 to 5 with 4 minutes and 47 seconds left to go in this first quarter.
Hillsdale with the ball and the lead is Kailen Splain shoot the three-pointer,
but she's unfortunately going to airball and it's going to go along and roll out of bounds.
So before Cedarville, taking up the ball is Butterball,
who just drew her first foul, which is why Hillsdale was inbounding the ball
and caused the immediate timeout.
And then pass back to Butterball.
Pass down number 44 in the block with some great help defense by McCormick.
Cedarville rebound back out to Butterball.
He's going to shoot the three and miss.
Rebound Panace.
Two really good looks for Cedarville there on offense.
The pick and roll worked.
They got a decent look out of that.
Then the offensive rebound, but unable to hit the shot.
Yeah, Neely was wide open under the basket,
but Kendall McCormick came into place some great help defense
and made the shot a little bit more difficult.
Unfortunately, he'll still keep away from those offensive rebounds
and those easy looks under the basket.
As McCormick is going to drive and draw the foul on number zero,
Rihanna's agent.
Yeah, good strong drive there from McCormick.
gets to the line. Let's see if she can capitalize.
Yeah, Hillstall currently leads nine to five with four minutes left to go in this first quarter.
One thing to keep a look at is...
So when women's basketball, the fouls reset every quarter.
So it's five fouls and then you're automatically in the double bonus.
There is no single bonus.
But one thing to keep a eye on already is that Cedarville already has four fouls.
So first of all, number zero, who is a starter for them, Brianna Zaycheck, already has two fouls,
which not to say, you know, you're not worried yet.
about two fouls but you're starting to get it's one foul away from yeah you're starting to be a concern
especially in the game in the first quarter yeah yeah and already having four fouls the next time they foul
hillsdale as long as it's not an offensive foul they will be shooting two shots as both the free throws
are missed but offensive rebound goes to hillsdale hillsdale able to kick it out go all the way around the
arc past track to city mills and she's going to draw foul so now hillsdale going to be shooting two free
So that's what we were talking about right there.
That was a crazy sequence for Mills right there.
Gets the offensive rebound off of the free throw, throws up a shot,
and I think it may have bounced off of the underneath the underside of the rim.
Then the ball started flying around for the chargers.
Yeah, everybody just, I don't want the ball, I don't want the ball, I don't want the ball.
I just pass it all the way around, and Mills is able to draw a foul off a drive.
It looked a little chaotic there for a second.
Yeah, she's going to make the first free throw, so.
three minutes and 43 seconds left in this first quarter
Hillsdale up 10 to 5 now 11 to 5
as Sydney Mills makes the second free point
Number one Peyton Adkins is checked in for the charges
sophomore guard
Yes
ball's going to go to butterball
Butterball passing it out to Neely
Neely with the drive
and air balls the contested
layup right there
Pass up to Peyton Adkins for Hillsdale
Hillsdale, down to Mills.
Out in the corner to Savannah Smith.
Smith out to Rulman.
Luma's going to take a little dribble around.
Find McDonald's under the basket.
McDonald's going to make a great move and do a reverse layup.
Great move.
I think she may have gotten away with a travel there.
It looked like almost like she took too many steps,
but did it quick enough that nobody saw.
Nice finish by McDonald.
Yeah, that's one of those ones where it's hard.
You don't know if you want to call it or not.
It's Neely for.
for the Cedarville Yellow Jackets,
sinks a three-pointer.
Scores currently 13 to 8.
Hillsdale leads with 2 minutes and 43 seconds left
in the first quarter.
The ball's going to go to Peyton Adkins.
She's going to pass it down to Lorne McDonald under the paint.
And McDonald with another basket.
Great movement so far from McDonald.
A little two-player game there between her and Atkins.
Got a good look right under the basket.
That's back-to-back possessions where they've given the ball to McDonald
under the basket.
Yep, just letting her work.
Passes out to Butterball for Cedarville.
Driving on Adkins has to kick it out.
Shot, three-point shots.
By number 22 is missed.
It's Casey Kyle.
On the other end, Cindy Mills with the ball,
with a little move and a great shot.
Great move by Sidney Mills there.
Stops, lets the defense fly by,
hits the turnaround jump shot right into the basket.
Yeah, a nice little pivot,
like a four-foot shot.
Great move by heart.
Great touch.
That's a harder shot than it looks.
Yeah.
Now on Cedarville's end, number 44 with the ball.
It's Evan Neely.
Neely, with the missed shot,
Mills with the rebound.
Passed up to McDonald, who's taking some speed,
but now deciding to slow this down and get the offense set up.
I say the Chargers wasting no time in transition,
really getting the ball down the court fast.
As Cedarville is going to get a steel,
butterball, on the transition.
Great defense.
still by the chargers, but Savannah Smith draws a foul.
Yeah, Smith will be called for a foul.
I think she bailed Butterbaugh out there.
Butterbaugh seemed to be trying to move that was a little bit outside.
I don't think she did what the basket was.
There was no way she was going to make that shot.
No, but I mean, Smith saw the right thing.
The ball was out there, and she definitely could have got the block, just missed it.
But I agree with you.
I don't think that Butterbaugh really had much of a shot at making that one.
No, she was out of control driving in and then sort of spun and threw up a layup.
Worked out well for her, though, as she makes the first free throw.
Yeah, she's also going to make the second free throw, making it 17 to 10.
Hillsdale Chargers with a minute and 21 seconds left in the first quarter of play.
Ball up to Panasic after they break to Cedarville press.
Laura McDonald with a drive-in but it tipped Cedarville ball in the past.
Out to Panosick and the three-pointer and Panasic is going to miss short.
Almost a great play by McDonald there.
Pass was just batted away at the last second.
She had Conkle wide open into the basket.
Good defense by the Yellowjackus to prevent it.
Yeah, she had the two-on-one right there.
Just great defense to get a tip pass in there.
I see the real.
I was going to give the ball up to number 34.
Cat Weekly.
Weekly.
Passing it out to Butterball.
She was really not had much room inside the...
It's just going to be a foul on Sidney Mills.
They missed a kickball violation.
The ball bounced off of Adkins' shoe.
They called a foul on Mills.
Yellow Jackets retained possession here.
Yeah, embounding the ball.
Kick out to Butterball.
Butterball.
Passed up to Hale.
Lauren McDonald with the steel from Hale.
Passing it up to Sydney Mills.
And she makes the layup.
That was an incredible pass from Lauren
McDonald's she was well beyond behind half court and hit mills underneath the basket for the transition layup great pass looks like a two-handed quarterback right there seriously yeah she was throwing it up
throw into a tight end up the seam great pass ball out's number two number two up to hail hail pass it out to butterball butterball with a drive and then no look pass to weekly and she makes the easy lay up great pass there great pass and a great backdoor cut by the
the yellow jackets. That's good offense.
Times winding down. One second left and Hillsdale throws up a shot and misses.
So Hillsdale at the end of the first quarter is up 19 to 12.
You listen to Ready Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM is we're going to go to a short media timeout.

As the band is playing very loudly right now, at the Hillsdale versus Cedarville
match, as Hillstale is currently winning 19 to 12 going into the second quarter.
The basketball match.
I'm sorry, this band is so loud right now.
I think you could just say basketball game.
Basketball game.
We're in the States.
Sorry, this isn't tennis, my bad.
Yeah.
Oh, but a basketball game, apparently a big game.
The big game.
The big game.
19 to 12 right now in Hillsdale's favor going into the second quarter.
And I think Hillsdale has the, no, Cedarville is going to have possession going into the second quarter.
McDonald's is off.
Off to a great start for the Chargers.
Let's see if she can keep that impact up.
She is.
I'm going to get the ball down to Zaycheck.
Zaycheck to Hale.
Hale with the layup underneath the basket.
Great drive there by Hale.
Cedarville is going to get up set up in this press.
Once again, which really has not worked in the first half.
Giving him a little bit of trouble here.
A little bit of trouble here, but they break it then.
Passing it down to Sydney Mills.
Ball back up to Lauren McDonald's.
17 seconds left, still on the shot clock.
for Hillsdale.
Out to McCormick. McCormick has to pick up her dribble nine seconds left on the shot clock right now.
As Conkel is going to draw a foul.
So they get the ball down to Conkel and trying to intercept the pass.
Number 10 just gets her on.
Cedarville being extremely aggressive on defense.
A lot of pressure on anybody who had the ball for the Chargers.
Yeah, and they don't really have anybody with the size to cover Conkla.
I mean, number 10 is their starting point guard.
And she's up there guarding the 6-2.
Yes, Conkall.
As she gets the ball on the top and finds Sydney Mills underneath the basket,
but Mills misses the layup.
Offensive rebound, Hillsdale, to Sydney Panasic.
And Panasic's also going to miss,
and then out of bounds, apparently, trying to grab the rebound of Sidney Mills.
Unfortunate miss for Mills there, very uncharacteristic of her.
Yeah, she's upset with herself after that one.
I would like to have it back for sure.
Yeah, it was a great pass there by Concold to get the layup set up there.
As Butterball is going to get the ball.
Pass it out.
Long three-pointer.
She thought about that one for a long time.
She said, am I taking this?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, so she ends up taking the three-pointer and misses very short.
Ball up to Sidney Panasic now on the offensive end.
She's going to lose the dribble.
Pass up to Cedarville.
Cedarville's going to overrun the basket.
Steel Hillsdale.
Somebody used to slow it down here.
Get this basketball under control.
Yeah.
Back-to-back turnover.
by each team. Cat Weekly, unfortunately, loses her dribble and, you know,
effort to save it out of bounds, throws it right back to a Hillsdale player.
As Panazis is going to drive in and miss the layup, but Mills on the rebound is going to get
fouled, so it's going to maintain Hillsdale possession.
You mentioned the fouls resetting every quarter in women's basketball.
That's good for Zeterville because they'd have a lot of fouls right now.
It doesn't seem like they're going to waste much time getting to five fouls here in the second quarter.
but we just talked about it last quarter.
Brianna Zaycheck now with three fouls
and she's going to have to be checked out of the game.
It's a big loss.
Big loss for them this early.
Yeah, a little bit of foul trouble
with eight minutes and 24 seconds left in the second quarter.
Sohsdale currently leads 19 to 14.
McDonald's with a three-pointer and she's going to hit it.
Great shot there by McDonald.
Yep.
Nice setup.
As soon as she caught the ball, the ball's out of her hand.
Yep.
Second three-pointer of the game by McDonald.
Hillstone currently leads 22 to 14
with eight minutes left to go in the second quarter
kicked out to Butterball for Cedarville
Cedarville was going to miss the three-pointer
McDonnell's going to grab the rebound.
Try to take it coast to coast
but she decides not to maybe wisely
and then going to pass to Panasic
and now Panasic draws a foul.
Yep, another foul on Hale
for the yellow jackets.
Yeah, that's her second, team third of the quarter, which remember,
they only have to get to five in order to get to that double bonus.
Like I said earlier, the Yellow Jack,
it's being really physical on defense to anybody who possesses the ball.
Yeah, a little bit of grab it in there all the time.
Trying not to give him any space.
As Splein is going to check back in for the chargers.
Down to McDonald, down to Conkel,
as Conkow is going to draw the shooting foul.
Great no-look bounce past by McDonald there to get the ball to Ashley Conkel,
and all the Yellow Jackets could do is.
foul or to stop it.
Yeah.
Conkul would have had a wide open layup there if they did not foul.
So now Conkul shooting two free throws on the season.
She is a, she's going to make the first free throw.
On the season, she is a- 70%?
70% free throw shooter.
That's pretty good.
She's going to make both the free throws, and that's going to help her average right there.
Soilsdale now leads 24 to 14, with 7 minutes and 36 seconds left in the season.
second quarter really dominating the Cedarville is McCormer's going to get a steal and then step out of bounds oh she
was so close right there to stay in bounds almost took it coast to coast she wasn't she had all the space there was
no defense there by the way that she picked off that pass nobody in front of her but foot just stepped out
possession will stay with the yellow jackets that's 20 seconds remain in the shot clocks they never gave the
possession to Hillsdale but it's not going to go down as a steel just a tip pass hillsdale
Cedarville with the ball.
Pass out to,
tipped off of,
Butterball,
tipped off of butterball.
Tipped off of butterball's hands out of bounds.
It's going to be Charger basketball.
Yes.
As Cedarville once again,
pressing Hillsdale,
Mills with a pass down to Splain.
This little zone trap here.
Splane with the ball to McDonald's
kind of picked off, jumbled around,
and then Cedarville grabs the,
or grabs the,
grabs the ball,
and then Cedarville turns it over.
Now Lauren McDonald with the ball.
Taking on Casey Kyle.
Misses the layup.
And the ball is still jumbled around.
And now it's Cedarville's possession.
I don't think anybody had possession there for about 15 seconds.
That was a wild.
I still don't know what's going on right now.
Tip pass out of bounds.
It'll be Cedarville ball.
McDonald was the one who tipped it out for the charges there.
And we're finally going to get a breather in the action.
A little bit of a break here because, yeah.
There was about seven turnover.
Possession changed, I think, five times in 15 seconds.
As they're going to get the ball into Butterball.
Guarded by Lauren McDonald.
Ball out to Betts.
Betts, taking the drive, taking on Sydney Mills.
Out to Hale.
Hale, trying to drive it in.
Ball's tipped by McDonald on some help defense.
Stays with Hale, though, as she picks up her dribble.
Ball up to Bets.
Bets, with the layup on Savannah Smith, but misses it.
Great defense there by Smith.
is Hilda looks to take the ball on early
and Sidney Mills
with a short little jumper.
Great touch for Mills there.
Same thing.
She's dribbling.
She's driving in hard, stops, pull up,
jump shot from about eight feet out.
Yeah, Butterball trying not to follow there.
Just try to draw the charge.
Stood straight up.
And Sidney Mills planted early.
Took the wide open shot that they gave her.
It's going to be a shot here by Neely.
But Neely is going to miss.
It's short.
Chargers running in transition.
ball up to Splain on the top of driving in great drive and easy layup for her
great move against Butterball
Splane got her to move just a little bit on the shot fake there and drove right past her for the layup
yep it's Butterbaugh looking to make up a little bit of points
those are currently up 28 to 14 with five minutes left to go in the second quarter
Neely passed up from Hale
Hale trying to take on Kendall McCormick
McCormick, great defense, hailed us to pick up her dribble, and she throws kind of an errant pass, but Neely grabs it,
Neely with a little fadeaway jumper against Smith, and she's not going to make it.
Really solid defense by the Chargers on back-to-back possessions there, making everything tough for Cedarville.
Yeah, Savannah Smith had that kind of questionable foul earlier that we talked about, but from then on she's been solid defensively.
Lauren McDonnell with another reverse layup, almost identical move to the one that she had earlier,
where she drove under the basket, under the baseline, and then hit that reverse layup with her right hand.
McDonald was moving on an offense layer.
Like she didn't, like there was nobody playing defense.
Her defender did not phase her whatsoever.
She dribbled right past her for the reverse layup.
Great move.
She is on fire to start this game.
Yeah, Betts.
Pass out to Neely.
Neely, Smith playing great help defense as she drives past.
Pass out to Betts.
Betts is going to miss the three-pointer, and McCormer is going to grab the contested rebound.
Trying to take it all the way.
She's got a lane.
And she makes the layup.
A little bit of a hesitation, Euro step at the end of that fast break.
I think she was unsure about what to do,
kind of hoping for the defender to reach up and grab a foul,
but she instead just makes the basket.
Splay now on the other end driving, and she draws a foul.
Fast.
God, the Chargers is moving the ball fast.
Not wasting any time after getting a defensive rebound.
Trying to play with a lot of pace here.
They are currently up 32 to 14.
I mean, when you've got the advantage.
Keep rolling, writers.
We're going to go to a short media timeout.

Three Hillsdale, 101.7 FM. Charger Women's Basketball versus Cedarville women's basketball. Chargers
dominating this game early, currently up 32 to 14 and Cedarville. Two players now in foul trouble.
That's number 12. Nila Hale, one of their best players.
players and number zero, Breonna Zaycheck, both have three fouls in the second quarter with four
minutes left to go. Yeah, not where they wanted to be.
Yeah, definitely not, especially not this early in the second quarter.
As Kaylin, Spley is going to be shooting two free throws.
Hillsdale already has the 18-point lead, looking to extend this lead to 20.
She's going to make the first free throw.
Definitely the start that Hillsdale wanted.
And not super surprising, looking at these teams coming to this game.
Hillsdale, four-game win streak, playing some of their best basketball of the season.
Cedarville really struggling coming into this game.
Yeah, especially missing two of their better players.
Their best player, the girl who averages 19 points a game,
and the only player in the double digits average is out today.
Zaychecks still in the game.
They put Zaycheck back in and she's going to hit the and one,
which is good for them because up until that point,
they had nobody with more than one basket.
They had two people with three-point baskets,
and those were their highest scores.
Yeah, typically you wouldn't leave Zaycheck in the game with this many fouls early on,
but they're not getting offensive output from anybody else, so you can't take her out.
You literally.
Hale is still in there as well.
Yeah, Zayechek is going to miss the free throw, so it's going to stay at two-point possession,
but those are currently up 34 to 16 with three minutes and 43 seconds left in the second quarter.
As Blaine's going to take a couple dribbles, pass it out to Pannasik.
with a great pass to Adkins
Adkin with the fake
and the layoff's going to go around and fall in
great move there by
Peyton Adkins to get past to the defender
a nice little pump fake
yep a little fadeaway jump shot from the short corner
oh she almost gets to steal on defense
going up against Hale though
she makes the shot very contested
and shot's going to be missed and rebounded by
Emma Rulman
Kaelin's Blaine now taking the ball up for the
Chargers. Pat out to Panassik. Panasonic driving and going to make the layup over the Cedarville
defender. Nice job by Panasic recognizes she had a little bit of a mismatch and take advantage of it.
Yeah, Hillstall at this point feels like they can do no wrong, especially when they're inside of that
three point art. Well, they're taking good shots. They're getting really close shots to the basket.
As Neely is going to hit the three-pointer for Cedarville, Hill still leading 38 to 19 double Cedarville.
This ball's going to go to Emma Rulman out to Peyton Adkins.
He's going to make another pump fake, another layup.
Yep, use the glass that time, but she shot it from about the same spot that she did the shot two possessions ago.
Yeah, very, very similar shot there for Adkins.
Esplan is going to be defending G.
Geese G. G. G. G. Gish G. We talked about this before the game. Her name is not the easiest pronounced.
as Zatech's going to shoot the little jumper and she's going to miss.
Rebound by Panostic, pass up to Caitlin Splain.
Caitlin Splean, playing point guard for the Chargers when Laura McDonald is not in.
I think they're probably going to see this more often,
especially if Hillsdale maintains this lead later in the game.
Pass up to Conkull on the top, but Conco with an errant pass.
Yeah, she was trying to get it to a ruleman in the post,
but Cedarville defense was stout.
Yeah, on the other end.
And Seychek takes all our momentum and makes the layup.
It was still now currently up 40 to 21 with a minute and 31 seconds left in the second quarter.
Ball to Kaelin Splean.
Kailen Splean takes a great move.
A little fade back and takes a jump shot and makes it.
Yeah, it looks like she was trying to find somebody to pass and picked up her dribble
and realized that she was wide open from the free throw line.
I think that she didn't even expect to be wide open.
Nope nice little mid-range jump shot neely
ball up to keys check
air ball there by neely
I think conkel got a piece of that shot
rebound by ruleman up to spain
splain with a great layup
hillsdale currently up 44 to 21 with 51 seconds left
in the second quarter absolutely
dominating performance by hillsdale so far
yeah this offensive output for the chargers has been crazy
corner three
made by Gisjeet.
Peace Chief.
Now it's 24 points.
Hillsdale's 44.
All across.
Half court with Caitlin. She's going to take
some time off the clock.
Six seconds separate the shot clock in the game clock.
15 seconds left in the shot clock.
Splane going to look to wind it all the way down.
Give Cedarville as little time as possible to make a basket.
Six seconds left in the shot clock.
ball off the rim and rebound Hillsdale.
Nine seconds left.
And there's going to be a foul on Cedarville.
But now that Cedarville is five fouls once again,
Peyton Adkins going to be shooting two free throws.
Yep, Chargers have a chance to extend their lead here.
So 9.2 seconds left from the game clock.
Peyton Adkins shooting two free throws for Hillsdale
as Perilsdale currently leads 44 to 24.
Yeah, really dominating performance offensively and defensively
by Hillsdale.
I mean, it's not very often that you score 90 points,
but that's what they're on pace to do.
And it's not very often that you keep an opponent to 50 points,
but that's what they're on pace to do here.
If they can keep this pace up.
I mean, eventually you're going to see a lot more rotation from Hillsdale.
Peyton Adkins makes both of her free throws,
4624 Hillsdale, and the pace might cut down a little bit,
but absolutely dominating him.
And there's going to be a foul on the other end by Savannah Smith,
shooting two free throws will be number 34 cat weekly
score doesn't suggest it but it's been a pretty well contested game so far
high energy on both sides is what I mean a lot of fouls a lot of physicality
yeah there's definitely been quite a few fouls I would say especially on the
Cedarville side yeah Cedarville been very aggressive there's been a lot of shooting fouls I
would say on Hillsdale.
Cityville shot.
Quite a few free throws here so far.
As Weekly is going to make the first but miss the second.
Rebound Cindy Mills.
Two seconds, one second.
Shoots the halfboard shots and it banks off the backboard.
So going into halftime, Hillsdale with a commanding lead dominating performance, 46 to 25.
As you'll listen to 101.1.7 FM, we're going to go to a long break for halftime.
1.1.7 FM.
My name is I'm in Mick, joined here by Gabriel Vondrack for Hillsdale.
Women's basketball as Hillsdale had a dominating first half currently leading 46 to 25.
We're just two minutes away from the beginning of the second half.
What are some things that you saw in that first half that you think we should talk about right here?
Well, Hillsdale's getting great shots, right?
They're, obviously they've scored 46 points in two quarters.
That's a, that's what you're looking for on offense.
And yeah, they've done so by getting good shots, haven't taken a lot.
lot of contested
attempts because, yeah, they're moving the ball
well on offense, getting open
looks close to the basket, and
they're hitting them. On the other
side, Cedarville has not done
much to stop them on defense. They're
trying to be physical, but they've really just gotten in
foul trouble. We're also running that
half court, or not half court, the full court
trapping press after
made baskets. I think they've been able to
force one turnover. I don't think any.
They got one. Well, it was
when we had that sort of weird back and
fourth period of multiple turnovers on each side.
But other than that, it hasn't caused a lot of problems for the chargers who've been able
to break it easily and get right of their offense.
And I think part of the problem off of that is that he'll still started pushing the ball down
because they realized not only can we beat this press, but we can beat this press and have the
advantage on the offensive side, right?
Yeah, yeah, for sure.
And when they're getting defensive rebounds, I think the idea is not even to let Cedarville
get into any kind of defense they want because Hillsdale moves the ball so fast. They get the
defensive rebound and are immediately, whoever, you know, whoever gets the rebound is either pushing
it up the court or finding a ball handler, getting it to them, and they're running. And that's
a big part of why they've been able to generate so much offense. Yeah, Hill's still been leading
for pretty much the entire game, except that very beginning when Suterville was up three to two,
which was their largest lead of the game. Yeah, that was a long time ago.
Seattle actually has gotten shots up
although they haven't been nearly as open
or as smart as Hillsdale's shots
they do both teams both do have 31 and 32 shots
so
it's just the difference between shooting
28% and shooting 58%
Yeah it is 46 to 25
right now as we go into the second half
Hillsdale with the possession
McDonald
with the ball
passing up to Kendall McCormick
McCormick
Looking for Panasic.
Panasic taking a dribble.
And the ball is going to be out and off of number 34.
Cat Weekly of Cedarville.
So it's going to remain Hillsdale possession.
Yep.
Chargers trying to get Panosic one-on-one under the basket again.
Yeah, some help defense was played there.
And I think Panosic wanted a foul, but she did not get one.
And the ball goes out of bounds.
Off of.
As Lauren McDonald's going to shoot a three,
miss, but grab her own rebound with the long rebound.
great awareness for there by McDonald's the track down the ball.
Yeah, I think she saw the open lane and knew what it was coming.
Spley trying to find Panasic, but turns the ball over weakly with the steel.
Yeah, try to throw a little pocket pass along the baseline there, but Cedarville defender
picked it off in the backside.
Yes, Kyle is going to pass to Butterball.
Butterball.
Up to Kyle on the three-point line, and she's going to make the three-pointer.
So a good look there for Cedarville, something we really did.
didn't see a lot in the first half some great ball movement yeah good uh exactly i would say good
ball movement on offense there and a good shot and made shot hills on the other hand trying to beat
the press they get the ball on to ashley conkel in the post but she misses the layup kind of jarred
jarred from her hands loose a little bit of a block there i would say and now a foul on the other end
against ashley conkel yeah got to be a reach in on conkel as the first team first of the period as the
Cedarville player was
got the shot fake off
and was driving around her she reached in
Cedarville will be throwing it in
from underneath their own basket
yeah balls up to Zaycheck
Zaycheck with the drivel in against Conkel
matched up against Conkull passes out to
to Hale Nala Hale
Hale back to Zaycheck again
with a matchup against Conkill and she turns it over
I don't really know who she was trying to pass it to there
I think the ball bounced off of Conkill's leg
into the Chargers hands.
Yes. Kenna McCormick now with the ball for the Chargers.
Pass up to Sydney Panasic.
Out to Lauren McDonald.
Lauren McDonald, looking to make things happen.
Droules with that left hand.
Find Panosic under the basket.
The ball is tipped out of her hands by Brianna Zaycheck.
So 13 seconds remain on the shot clock.
And Sealsall is going to take the ball under the basket.
Yep.
Again, looking to get the ball inside to one of their taller players.
I think that at this point, though, they're forcing it a little bit.
I think you need to get a little bit of movement outside
and see what you can make happen.
Well, I would look to your scores who have been maybe a little bit more consistent.
I'd like to see McDonald or Conkel get a shot.
And right on Cuders.
There's Ashley Cawkes.
The layup.
Yes.
Killsdale gets his first points to the second half.
We're getting at 48 to 28.
Hillsdale lead with eight minutes left in the third quarter.
As the ball is going to go to Butterball,
Butterball kicking out to the corner.
Three-pointer, missed.
Rebound Cedarville, hit out of the hands of Caitlin Splain from Hillsdale.
ball up to Nala 13 seconds left in the shot clock
ball up to butterball
butterball in the corner trying to make things happen
dribble pass up and she's going to make the layup
great pass there to Casey Kyle and Kyle's going to make the layup
a little left-handed layup as she was falling away
tough shot
Hillsdale going to pretty easily beat the pressure once again
as the scores currently 48 to 30 Hillsdale
Hillsdale seems a little bit flat coming into the second
half to be honest
yeah not playing with that same intensity
Good set on offense there.
Got a post feed to Ashley Conkel and she hit McDonald as she was driving down the lane.
Easy two points for the Chargers.
Yeah, easy two points there for Lauren McDonald.
Just open up the lead 50 to 30.
It's going to be on the other end.
There's going to be a block by Lauren McDonald.
All to Splane.
Splane.
Back to McDonald out to Conkulissa.
dribbled a couple times just to gain possession of it and picks it up.
Passes it back out to Lauren McDonald.
I'm outside of a three point line.
I'm not sure who they're calling this foul on.
It's either an offensive foul, a charge, or it?
Nope, it looks like they're calling it a blocking foul.
They're calling it a block.
Cedarville.
It's going to be a foul on Cedarville, number 30.
31, actually, sorry.
It was 34.
Yeah, it was Catweekly.
Yep, called for a blocking foul away from the ball.
Yeah, so she's going to be called for the block.
filing foul on the inbound going to be tipped um zayt brown a zaycheck tipped it away for the yellow
jackets i agree with your uh what you were saying earlier chargers a little out of sync here
yeah it didn't look like it quite as smooth as did in the first half as lorne mcdonnell is going to
take the lane but she's going to miss the layup good drive by mcdonald just couldn't get it to go
Yeah, Hillsdale still maybe more talented pretty clearly than Cedarville,
but at this point, Cedarville very much playing with more energy than Hillsdale is.
This ball's going to be up to Hale, Hale, out to weekly, weekly for the free pointer,
she's going to make it.
I mean, they've given her, they've given all of Cedarville a lot of space out on the three-point line this half.
Well, they didn't shoot the ball well in the first, so it wasn't something there were
super concerned about but if yellow jackets continue to shoot this well in the second half it's going
to become a concern for the charges i mean they didn't really have that many open looks in the
first half though i didn't think as mcdonald's going to shoot the jump shot miss rebound number
zero brianus a chequec seaterville ball passes back to brianus a check as there is going to be a foul
foul is on number three Lauren macdonald i believe that that's her only her first of the game
correction that is her second of the game
she's going to check out really quickly
a little bit of a sloppy start to the second quarter by the chargers
luckily they're still up by 17s they have a lot of cushion
but definitely something you want to get figured out here before
Cedarville goes on any more of a run than they already have
yeah Cedarville currently outscoring Hillsdale 8 to 4 in the third quarter
so they're up 50 to 33 now 50 to 34
with five minutes and 44 seconds left in the third quarter.
Seychek, shooting her second free throw.
And she's going to make that one too.
So now the score is 50 to 35 Hillsdale.
Soilsdale looks to break the press.
Once again, breaks it pretty easily.
Ball up to Adkins McCormick with a wide open three-pointer,
but she doesn't take it.
Pass up to Splein for the three, and she makes it.
Good decision by McCormick there.
She had a good look, but probably better to get the ball to Caitlin Spley for an even better three-point look.
She is the best three-point shooter on the team.
Yes.
So great shot there by Spley.
Now, Hillsdale, up 53 to 35 and a little bit of life maybe in this Hillsdale team.
Yeah.
This ball's going to be passed under the basket and tipped.
And it's going to go back to Hillsdale.
So Cedarville with the turnover there.
Cedarville is still pressing.
Yeah, but that shot by Splain was big.
It slowed down the momentum that Cedarville was building there.
Yeah, Splean, trying to break the press, and she does.
Taking it with some speed.
Now kicks it out to Smith.
Smith, up to McCormick.
McCormick taking the drive with a great Sero step.
A little mini Euro step there.
And she makes the layup, 55 to 35.
Hillsdale lead.
Yeah, nice finish with the left hand there for McCormick.
Zaycheck.
Pass out to Neely.
Neely.
Passes to Weekly who draws a foul on the shot.
Yeah, it looks like Caitlin Splane got just a little bit of her elbow there.
She's taking that shot from the elbow.
Yeah.
So we're going to go to a short media timeout.
Hillsdale at 55 to 35.
We'll listen to Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.

Hello and welcome back to Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM.
Hillsdale 101.7 FM as we're listening to Hillsdale Charger women's basketballs.
Hillsdale currently leads 55 to 35, really, really big, strong first half, a little bit of a shaky start
at the third quarter, but we believe that they are really picking it up right now in this last
like 30, 35 seconds. Yeah, I think maybe just took them a little bit a little while to get their heads
back in the game after that halftime break. I'm sure they went into halftime feeling pretty good about
themselves as how good they played in the first half.
I think they're settling in here after the first five minutes of this third quarter.
Yeah, got to get a little bit of that shock factor when Cedarville.
Cedarville scores a little bit.
Yeah.
And bring some momentum back in your favor.
Ciderville currently shooting free throws is Cat Weekly.
She's going to make the first, cutting the lead down to 19 for Hillsdale.
Weekly.
Second free throw.
And she is going to miss it, but rebound Cedarville, ball out to weekly.
weekly with the move pass out to Hanley
Hanley with a three-pointer she's going to miss
rebound Splane on the transition
Splane
Unfortunate turnover there for Splane
Yeah Splane tried to
Tric the ref into thinking that she got that ball
knocked out of her hands but the ref wasn't falling for it
Possession will go to the yellow jackets
Yeah so ball in the hands of butterball
for the yellow jackets
Water ball
with the pass out to
Neely
Neely looking for something
someone
ball up to
weekly
weekly to Hanley
is just going to be an offensive
foul
Yep moving screen
And moving screen is in there
by Macklin
Hanley
I believe that this is
Yeah this is one of the first
games if not the first game that
Hanley has played in because of the injuries for Cedarville.
Adkins with the ball now for Hillsdale as they lead 55 to 36.
Ball up to McDonald.
McDonald with a drive and she's going to lose it.
Cedarville with a pass.
Trying to go with some speed.
Airballed shot.
You know, as Weekly who put up the three for Cedarville.
It was very short and out of bounds.
I think it will, it was tipped.
But yeah, it looks like it may have been touched by the chargers
As it was going out of bounds, yep, it's going to be Cedarville ball.
Or was it tipped on the shot by any chance?
You could be right about that.
It might have been tipped on the shot.
There's only seven seconds left in the shot clock here.
Might be the reason that it was so short.
So the reason why it was so short, so as it rolls out of bounds,
we learned that Cedarville is going to maintain possession,
as I think that they're going to look at the replay, possibly, right here.
Maybe not.
Media timeout.
They're going to look to see.
if she touched the ball
so
talk about
tonight's highest scores
Lauren McDonald for the Chargers
one of their usual highest scores
with 14
Caitlin Spley
another usual high score
with 11
Sydney Mills with 10
so three of their
really three of their most dominant players
three of those players that you usually see up there
are up there
as for Cedarville
you've got Brianna Zaycheck
with eight
or Casey Kyle with eight and Cat Weekly with eight, who once again, I mean, really, they're their highest scores.
So a little bit of the regular scores scoring a night.
Yeah, familiar faces for the Chargers, right?
No surprises there.
McDonald's, Blaine and Mills, all in double figures.
Lauren McDonald, doing it all over the floor.
She's hit a couple of threes.
She's got them to bite on pump fakes and then drove the basket.
been just a good complete offensive game for her.
Yeah, really good game by her.
For the Chargers,
Kendall McCormick has three assists.
Great job by her getting the ball around.
And Lauren McDonald, we've talked about a complete game by her.
She also has, along with her 14 points,
two steals and five defensive rebounds and three offensive rebounds.
So eight total rebounds as she leads the Chargers,
tied with Sidney Mills, who also has five defensive rebounds,
three offensive rebounds for eight total rebounds.
Yep.
The offensive rebounds always huge, right?
Second chance points can really turn a game in your favor.
Yeah, Hillsdale currently with, I got to do a little bit of math here,
nine offensive rebounds, and Cedarville, on the other hand,
only with four offensive rebounds.
So Hillsdale really been a great job.
I've actually seen a lot of individual players for Hillsdale on random possessions,
just boxing out the one player that had a chance to get the offensive.
Yeah, I don't, I don't.
think it's as simple as drawing it up to a height advantage, even though the Chargers do have a
height advantage. They've also just played fundamentally well. Caitlin Splain has got a number of
rebounds just by being in good position. Yeah. And even with her a little bit of a disadvantage at
size against most players. Yep. As a ball's going to be inbounded to Zaycheck for Cedarville.
Sechick, taking it at the top of the key. They did reset the shot clock. So they added 20,
they put 20 seconds on there instead of the seven that were on there.
Sechek, with the drive against Adkins. So she's going to
miss the layup. She had a wide open
layup, but unfortunately just doesn't go
in for her. Panasic with the
ball on the other side. Pass out to
Lauren McDonald. She's looking
for Splain but can't find her.
She finds Savannah Smith
who has a nice pivot move and a shot.
Looks we have a Cedarville
player down
holding her ankle.
Yeah, so we're going to go to a short media
timeout. You're listening to Radio Free Hillsdale
101.1.1.7 FM. Hillsdale
currently leads 57 to 36.

Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM.
Hillsdale Women's Basketball versus Cedarville women's basketball.
As Hillsdale currently leads 57 to 36 with three minutes and four seconds left.
In the third quarter, as one of the Cedarville players is going to be helped off the floor.
It looks like she just twisted her ankle.
So probably out for the rest of the night as she looks like she can't put any pressure on it.
But I wouldn't say that it's a long-term injury.
Just probably something at most in ankle sprained.
Yeah, I certainly hope not.
Cedarville dealing with a
number of injuries to key players and
yeah number 44 Evan Neely is the yellow
jacket who was assisted off the floor
yeah as they're already missing their best player
Lydia Sweeney missed the last four games and
Ann Wheeler who played 28 minutes in those
average 28 minutes in those first three games and then hasn't
played since I believe it's the first three games just has three
but I'm gonna go with the first three knows she doesn't play
in a while.
Ball up to Butterball.
Hillsdale.
Playing some great defense.
Ball back in the hands of Hale.
Hale.
Out to Weekly.
Weekly to Butterball.
Butterball with a drive.
And great defense there by City Pinnosick does not make that layup easy.
And she's going to miss the shot.
All down to City Panasik with a great.
Great.
pass there to Panasik as Panasic finds the easy layup.
Yeah, good ball movement all around from the Chargers.
Great look from Peyton Atkins to find Panasic open under the basket.
Yeah, on the other end, Hill still playing some great defense as Hale is going to make a hard drive
and she is going to make the layup, but Hill still not making it easy for the Seagiville
Yellow Jackets right now.
That was the case of good offense or better offense against good defense.
Yeah, scores currently 59 to 38.
Hillsdale with two minutes and six seconds left in this third quarter of play.
balls up to Panassi
Cedarville is aggressively denying the pass
when it's won away
kind of leaving themselves susceptible to the back to the cause
Olivia Patch is going to make
the short
the short jumper
Hillsill now leads 61 to 38
with a minute 43 left in the third quarter
a nice strong move from patch there
Nala with the ball under the basketball
she's going to get tipped away by Lauren McDonald
grabbed by Sidney Panana
Panasic, Panasic, with the ball down to Splain, up to Patch, and Patch is going to make the layout.
Another strong move from Patch.
I thought she was fouled initially, but no call, and she just played on.
She played through it, yep.
Great job there by Patch to make back-to-back baskets on back-to-back possessions.
Ball now in the hands of Cat Weekly, Weekly.
Passing out to Nala.
Nala, Hale.
Hale, out to Butterball, out to Weekly again, weekly.
step back shot and misses the three-point and rebound Panassik.
So Hilsda with the possession now going the other way.
She made that step-back three earlier in the quarter, but couldn't get it to go there.
Yeah, ball in the hands of Sydney Panasic is going to get the ball to McDonald under the basket.
Back out to Patch, Patch of the miss, and then grabs her own rebound, and she misses the second
shot, but she's going to draw a foul, so she's going to be shooting two free throws right here.
Yeah, Patch with good looks under the basket, three possessions in a row.
not able to cap make this last one, but draws the foul and possibly capitalizing with the two free
Exactly, has a chance to get two points from the charity stripe
46.4 seconds left to go in this third quarter of play
But Hillsdale leads 63 to 38 Patch is going to make the first free throw
So Hillsdale still putting on this dominating performance even though we think that they you know
in theory took a step back in this third quarter they're still currently outscoring hillsdale as patch makes the second free throw now 18 to 13 just in the third quarter started slow but they've picked it up here at the end of the quarter of the quarter of hell
hail out to butterball butterball to hail underneath the basket is panosick steps back onto her and makes some great defense right there by panosick
Hill misses the shot.
Hillsdale is scrambling to grab possession,
but there's only Hillsdale players around.
18 seconds left, no shot clock here in the end of this third quarter.
So Hilsdell still going to take as much time off the clock as they possibly can.
Ball in the hands of Kendall McCormick.
McCormick, pass the ball to McDonald's.
Five seconds left in the game clock.
McDonald takes a step back three and it airballs it.
So she's going to leave 0.6 seconds.
see if Cedarville can do anything at all.
It looked like it could have been good from this angle.
It did.
It looked really good from this angle.
And then it just...
I guess not quite as good from another angle.
So Cedarville is just going to dribble the ball out for the 0.6 seconds
instead of trying to put up a shot.
So Hillsdale currently leads 65 to 38.
Usually 2.3 Hillsdale, 101.7 FM.
As we go to a short media timeout.
Welcome to the Astro Minute,
where we're exploring the universe 60 seconds at a time.
I'm Lauren Smith, and today we're hunting for the double cluster.
Star clusters are gravitationally bound groups of stars, which form together in space and time
and reveal much about the mysteries of star formation and development.
In 130 BC, Greek astronomer Hipparchus first cataloged the double cluster, a pair of open star
clusters in the constellation Perseus.
The double cluster contains at least 20,000 solar masses of stars, including many blue-white
supermassive stars.
Every star you can see in the double cluster with binoculars is much brighter than our sun.
The double cluster is faint, but well worth the hunt.
To see it, find the W of Cassiopeia,
then look a little left of the wider side of the W for a large hazy patch.
Binoculars will clearly separate these two beautiful clusters of stars.
That's your Astro Minute.
Waity for Hillsdale 101.1.7 FM.
Hillsdale Women's Basketball dominating Cedarville Women's Basketball,
65 to 38 with the beginning we're about to start off the fourth quarter where I believe if there weren't any jump balls right so Cedarville will be starting off with possession right here I'm pretty sure I'm pretty sure I think we've gone to hold the whole game without a jump ball no I think you're right which is which is weird usually in women's basketball you get you get three or four but no jump balls I guess that's true as Cedarville is going to inbound the ball to Nilele
Hale, sorry, to
Casey Kyle
as a three-point basket is going to be made for
Cedarville by Hale.
Kyle finds Hale in the corner.
She's able to knock down the three.
On the other hand,
Cini Panasic with the three-pointer,
and she's going to miss,
rebound,
bounces around a little bit, and falls in the hands
of Cedarville's Butterbatch,
or Butterball.
Butterball,
out to weekly,
with a missed layup and no rebound,
shot by Butterball out on the free point line,
and she's going to miss as well, rebound Hillsdale.
And no need for the charges to be in a hurry here.
Yeah, Hillsdale's setting up their offense,
making sure they can get good looks here.
Maybe take a little bit of time off the clock,
but that's secondary to getting good looks.
As Panasic is going to get a pretty good look,
but a great shot.
I would say not a very good look.
That was a difficult shot.
But she made it.
Yeah, she's able to make it go.
Isn't that winning covers all sins, right?
So scoring covers all sins, something like that?
Something like that.
If you're going to take that shot, you better make it.
Yeah, the great shot there by Panassik.
Ball in the hands of Kyle.
Kyle with a basket made.
Two-point basket right there.
So it's 67 to 43.
Hillsdale lead with eight minutes and 30 seconds left in this fourth quarter of play.
Nice little short jumper there from Kyle.
As McCormick attempts to three for the charge was no good.
Yeah, it was a good look.
She had the wide-open three-pointer.
She didn't really want to take it, but she had all the time in the space
so she decided to and unfortunately misses.
As on the other end, Kat Weekly, going to make the three-pointer.
67 to 46.
He'll still lead.
Down to 21 points.
Unlike the beginning of the third quarter, though,
I would say at this point, Cedarville is shooting better.
Yeah, absolutely.
Turnover, though.
there by Kailen Splain and an easy basket by number 34 Cat Weekly.
Well, just like we said at the beginning of the third quarter,
the charge is maybe not so locked in,
having the same issue here at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Yeah, but I would say that they're getting good offensive looks in this fourth quarter,
unlike they did in the beginning of that third quarter.
As Rulman takes a turnaround shot and she's going to miss it.
So Cedarville on a little bit of a run.
Might need to see a timeout here if Cedarville scores right here.
And Butterball misses.
grabs room rebound and then draws a foul.
I would like to see a timeout right here called by Hillsdale.
Kind of regroup things.
I know that you still have a very confident lead,
but breathe a little bit, relax a little bit,
maybe some subs even.
Yeah, it looks like McDonald's going to check back into the game.
Hopefully she'll bring that stability
and that confidence back,
especially in the offensive end.
They've seemed a little disjointed so far.
Also checking into the game for the first time this game,
number 22, Maddie Green.
was appeared in seven games for far this year.
You have the freshman from Northview in Sylvania, Ohio.
As Butterball is going to make the first free throw,
cutting the lead down to 6749 Hillsdale lead.
She's going to miss the second, but rebound for Cedarville.
Ball in the hands of number four, Betts.
Lydia Betts misses the shot.
Rebound Lauren McDonald.
Yeah, McDonald's slowing things down here for the Chargers.
Definitely want to get a good look on this possession.
That McDonald.
Ball out to Patch.
Up to Maddie Green, the freshman.
Green up to Peyton Adkins.
Adkins down to Patch.
She's going to make another basket.
She has six points so far this game just in these last five minutes.
Yeah, excellent job by Patch.
Coming off the bench and playing for the first time in this game,
and she's got three baskets and a couple of free throws as well.
as they check with the ball
she's going to turn over
and Emma Rulman
Rulman
dribbling it driving it in and she's just going to take the
layup and miss
contested layup there and unfortunately she's not
getting it to go as butterball
it's going to be driving down the floor
kick out
three-pointer by number 22
Casey Kyle
yeah nice corner three there from Kyle
and the charges you want to use more
clock on the offensive end I think
Wilman rushed that shot
in their last possession.
Yeah,
Hillsdale currently with the lead,
69 to 52.
Yeah, if you can't get a wide open look,
use some clock.
At least, yeah,
run the whole clock down.
Don't take an early shot early in the clock.
If you don't love it.
McDonald, with a little jumper there,
and she's going to make it.
71 to 52,
Hillsdale lead,
five minutes and 52 seconds left.
Great pull-up jumper in the mid-range there for McDonald.
And that's kind of what we were talking about.
I mean, the shot clock was down to below 10 seconds.
As in the other end,
shot by Zaycheck is going to miss.
It's just veteran move by McDonald
who's played a lot of basketball.
Patch with a turnaround and won.
Eight points.
And now an and one chance for Olivia Pat.
Very strong move from Patch there.
I think she threw it up,
knowing that she already had the foul
and then had quite a big reaction after she saw the ball go in.
I don't think she quite expected it to go in the basket.
Yeah, so Heldsdale currently leads.
73 to 52 with some big help here in this fourth quarter by Olivia Patch.
Yeah, playing great off the bench.
Patch, going to make the free throw.
So she now has nine points in this fourth quarter, I believe, alone.
She's going to get a sub to the bench, checking in for the game for the Hillsdale Chargers.
She's Savannah Smith.
Ball in the hands of bets.
Betts out to Hale for Cedarville.
Cedarville,
ball to Hanley,
Hanley,
out to Cat Weekly.
Back to Hanley,
Hanley, with the shot,
and she's going to miss,
rebound Lauren McDonald.
Ball kind of bounces around and grabbed by Peyton Adkins.
Oh, they're going to call a travel on Adkins there as she was,
yeah,
she was getting the ball under control.
Adkins thought that she didn't have possession,
but Raff thought that she did,
so they're going to call a travel on her.
Yeah,
close call there but doesn't go the
Chargers way. And you're in Europe by a game
in a game like this you don't expect
a lot of calls to go your way anymore.
74 to 52
Hillsdale currently with the lead
and foul on Emma Rulman
so Cat Weekly will be shooting two
free throws. There's a good move there
bi-weekly and a great job trying
of drawing the foul there.
Yeah well she got him a jump
on her pump fake because she's hit a few deep shots.
Nice strong drive to the basket there
and it's a job of forcing Hillsdale to foul.
Yeah, as Hillsdale leads 74 to 52, with four minutes, 36 seconds left.
We're going to go to our media timeout.
It'll listen to Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7FFAP.

Hello and welcome to Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM.
Listen to Hillsdale Women's Basketball as the Hillsdale Chargers currently leads 74 to 52 with five minutes left in the game.
Cat Weekly for the Cedarville Yellow Jackets going to be shooting two free throws as she makes the first cutting the lead down to 21.
The Hillsdale brilliant and commanding lead at this point it's just don't do anything too dumb, right?
Play basketball. Be smart and the game. Take your clock. Don't do anything. Don't do anything crazy.
Exactly.
She's going to make the second free throw. So ball inbounded.
She's a real continuing to press is obviously they need to at this point.
He'll beat the press pretty easily.
Ball to Maddie Green, the freshman.
Peyton Adkins for three.
It's going to rim around and roll out.
Rebound Cedarville.
Yeah, the bench was on their feet.
They really wanted Atkins to make that shot.
Yeah, Zaycheck with a pass out to Hale.
Hale draws the foul on the layup.
They're going to call the foul on Adkins.
As looks like Splain is going to check in for Lauren McDonald.
That Lauren McDonald plays.
a great game so far tonight that might be the end of last time we see her she had 16 points
tonight and eight rebounds yeah excellent game as hale is going to if i had to give a player of
the game i think it would be loren mcton i agree i think she had a phenomenal game tonight
it was just different when she was on the floor too overall for sure so she's going to miss the second
free throw as well rebound hillsdale ball in the hands of kately spain splain splain
handing it to Emma Rulman,
Rulman,
jumping around trying to make something happen,
kind of loses it,
grabbed by Maddie Green,
help fake by Peyton Adkins on the pass,
and she's going to draw the foul.
So Peyton Adkins shooting two free throws right here.
Yeah, Chargers is fortunate not to turn the ball over there.
Rulman sort of threw a pass to Maddie Greenworth,
she thought she was going to be,
and she wasn't quite there.
Luckily, Cedarville wasn't there either,
and Green was able to capture the pass,
and then Atkins got a nice little drive afterward.
He's going to make first free throw.
First free throw.
So it was still currently up 75 to 54 with four minutes and 16 seconds left in this game in the fourth quarter.
She's going to make the second free throw.
So 22 point lead with four minutes, 15 seconds left to go.
Balls in the hand of butterball, butterball.
Passed out to Zaycheck.
Seichick with a great pass to Wattiech.
weekly and she's going to make the and one really nice pass by zaycheck there to find week
weekly weekly cut it into the basket yeah unfortunate foul there one that maybe you look back at
and you say we didn't need that right there let her make the basket and then calmly turn around
and play offense because of the score don't don't let them get any extra points on possessions they
they don't have right make them earn everything they got
Looking for the Chargers weekly misses the free throw.
Ball in the hands of Caitlin Splain,
looking for a screen from Maddie Green,
gets the switch on defense,
pass up to Edmund now.
Rulman, looking for the pick and
grabbed by Savannah Smith under the basket with a pass.
So Savannah Smith kind of double-team,
but she grabbed the pass and then missed the layup.
Yeah, not a pass you want to see late in the game.
as weakly is going to miss the free throw
or missed sorry excuse me
missed the layup
a little bit of a block there by
by a combination of emmer ruleman and kailen spleen
ball in the hands of mattie green under the basket
and she's going to make the fade away
shot
great shot there by green
contested
as weakly on the other end is going to make the basket as well
time out cedarville
that was a really nice move by green
Took the contact and made a little fadeaway shot.
Yeah, the freshman who has appeared now in eight games.
So we're going to show to a short media timeout.

Hello and welcome to Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM. Hillsdale Women's Charger Bass.
basketball versus Cedarville.
Hosedale currently leads 78 to 58 as I think we're going to see a lot of double teams here in this last
as Cidaville tries to make some last stitch effort pull this game out.
Ball in the hands for Hilsdale of Pate Adkins.
Pass out to Green back to Adkins trying to beat this press.
Ball in the hands of Green she beats the press.
Down to Rulman.
Willman in the hands of Adkins.
Adkins with a shot and miss rebound Olivia Patch.
Another miss shot.
Another rebound Hillsdale.
and the ball
so the ball
on the rebound
I'm going to try to describe this play
but I'm very confused
she gets the ball under the basket
throws it off one defender
it hits off another defender and rolls out of bounds
I guess that wasn't so confusing
now
ball out of bounds
long story short Hillsdale ball
Hillsdale
Caitlin's playing with a three point shot but she's going to miss
ball in the hands of bets
bets out of
to Butterball, Butterball in the corner to Saycheck.
Saycheck with the shot and the miss.
And we are going to see the first jump ball in the game.
As we were talking about this earlier,
they had not been a jump ball yet this game.
Chargers is going to get the possession.
Could not go the whole game without a jump ball.
225 left in the fourth quarter.
No, you really couldn't.
We get our first.
That's exciting.
Hillsdale, currently leading 78 to 58 with 2 minutes and 19 seconds left.
in this fourth quarter of play.
Ball in the hands of Maddie Green
down to Emma Rulman
as Emma Rulman tries to make a move
and she does but unfortunately
misses the basket. It was a pretty nice move
and it wasn't an easy shot
but unfortunately one that
one that she missed.
Ball in the hands of Zaychak
with the reverse layup.
So cutting the lead down to 18 for Halesdale.
A little bit of a circus shot there by Zaychak.
She just sort of just like she
threw the ball up behind her head without
knowing where it was going to go but yeah ball now in the hands of Caitlin splain minute 39 seconds left to go in this game 18 point lead
Peyton Adkins with a little jumper a lot of motion by hillsdale's offense there Peyton adkins finds herself wide open in the paint takes a little shot from about eight feet away has a nice shot there by adkins is
emmer ruleman on the defensive end city of a miss shot emmer ruleman grabs the rebound is going to draw a foul
both sides look like they're ready for this game to be over.
Yeah, but I think Cedarville just called a timeout.
Maybe not.
Maybe not ready to be called that.
But it's just 30-second timeout, so we're going to stay right here.
Currently, he scores 80 to 60, Hillsdale Women's Basketball, leading Cedarville,
with a minute and 23 seconds left in this fourth quarter of play
for the Chargers, leading scores, Lauren McDiott.
was 16 and then three players with 11 points.
Those three players, 11 points include Caitlin Splain, one of their usual high scores.
Olivia, and then, sorry, two players 11 points.
And the other one is Olivia Patch, somebody who came in late in this game and put together
11 points relatively quickly.
I don't think Patch played in the first half at all, but she's been a big contributor here
in the second.
That was a great, great game by her.
and she is still on the floor actually
so we could still see more out of her
but great game by her for sure
because they fall in the hands of Maddie Green
and then best
Emma Rulman who makes a little drop step
and makes the layup
so it's 82 to 60
Hillsdale lead for the minute and two seconds left
is Sidivar going to turn the ball over
Gailens Blaine's playing taking it quickly
but looks like she's going to slow it down and just try to
get possession. Yep, try to run this clock out
another
wide open
layup there by Emma Rulman. Great pass by the freshman Maddie Green. Back-to-back
layups from Rulman. Hillsdale bench, very excited. They are going to call a foul on number
one, Peyton Adkins on the drive from Butterball. So there's 42, sorry, 45.2 seconds left in the
fourth quarter of play. Hillsdale with a 24-point lead. Looking really, really good for Hillsdale right now.
I think we can go ahead and call this one for the charges.
I think it'll be five in a row.
Five in a row.
So Hillsdale, with that winning streak on the road,
we know how good they are at home is this women's team.
Has kind of been in the last couple of years, been great at home.
So they're going to extend this winning streak to five.
A very dominant win against Cedarville.
Yep, got out to the big lead in the first half,
and I would say more or less coasted in the second.
Yeah, there were some steps back taken, some mistakes made maybe in that second half, but overall, very commanding win.
I don't think the lead, I don't think the score ever got closer than 17.
I explained he was going to shoot a jumper and Hillstill is going to grab the rebound, can now run the clock out.
Pass.
Tipped, though, by Seych.
So Cedarville is going to have to, or Hill still is going to have to pass the ball in, but there's 15 points taking six seconds left and no shot clock.
Yeah, they can just hold it here.
Maybe they won't though. Maddie Green, the freshman with the basket.
Yeah, it looks like they wanted to get green involved in the scoring and they were successful.
And Cedarville didn't look like they were going to play any less aggressive and let them try to dribble the game out.
So Seychek with the long three to end the game.
She's going to miss it until Hillsdale leads 86 to 62 at the end of the game.
A Hillsdale Women's Basketball, Victory.
86 to 62 some great game probably player of the game if we got the award which we don't get to give it out but Lauren McDonald with a phenomenal game 16 points 13 rebounds just a phenomenal game
another shot out to Sidney Mills who had eight rebounds three steals also by Lauren McDonald
Olivia Patch with 11 points and Sidney Caitlin Spley with 11 points and then Sydney mills and Peyton Eddnette had can
each with 10 points.
So a great game all around by the Chargers,
getting some different names,
and of course, Lauren McDonnell,
one of their most dominant players, always.
So Hillsdale Women's Basketball
with their fifth straight victory.
Yep, keeping themselves well positioned
in the GMAC race here with only a few weeks left.
So thank you for listening to Radio Free Hillsdale,

We'll be back with the men's game after this break.
