Crowd is roaring. It's a sold-out game here.
It's outside to Tavon.
Tavon takes the three, got that one.
Back-to-back three is from the Chargers.
They pulled a head.
Still Charger basketball on Radio Free Hillsdale, 101.7 FM starts now.
Today, our girls are currently on a three-game losing skit,
but I think they can turn that around here tonight.
Yeah, absolutely. The Ohio Dominican women's basketball team, overall three and three.
D daunting record for the Chargers. It should be a good team, but nothing we can't handle here.
Yeah. O'DU, the girls O'DU is led by a couple of Newark, Ohio products like myself.
Shout out Newark, Ohio.
Shout out. Shout out, Mama Cantor. Good little pipeline we got out there in the 7-4-0.
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
We'll be taking a break here for the National Anthem.
Listen to radio for Hillsdale 101.5.7 FM, Charger basketball. I'm Colin. I'm cool.
See you after the break.
Welcome to the Grammar Minute, where we're saving the English language 60 seconds out of time.
I'm Lauren Smith, and someone recently asked me for my opinion on the word skedaddle.
Well, he didn't actually ask. He said he didn't like the word, and I said I did, and one thing led to another, and here I am making an episode about it.
Recently, I suggested using highly descriptive verbs and nouns rather than heaping up a bunch of adjectives.
For example, instead of saying the food was very good, describe the experience of enjoying that food using strong words like savored or, oh, here's a good one, scrumptious.
This can take it a little far when you start using words most people don't understand, such as crepuscular, for example.
I have no idea what that means, and something about the texture of the word makes me uncomfortable.
In my opinion, skid-addled doesn't fall into this category.
It's an interesting, somewhat unusual word that sounds like what it means and is commonly understood.
though it isn't frequently used, it conveys a lot of descriptive information.
That's your grammar minute.
We all have a story. In this country holds millions.
From the founding to modern day, from small towns to great cities, from citizens to famous leaders.

Mostly four guard play.
Four guards.
We can get some big man play down south.
That would be beautiful.
Nice little intro we got.
She's not what I'm going.
Why can we get one of these for football?
Yeah.
Yeah, let charge your basketball.
Yeah, I don't know.
It's be cool to have football.
These are pretty sweet.
We've got to update our scoreboard to have a little, like, a digital section.
Yeah.
We're projecting the starting lineup for the Chargers to be Caitlin Spleyne, Sarah Alka Venusius, Lauren McDonald,
Savannah Smith, and Kimmel McCormick.
Shout out two-sav.
Shout out to Sev.
Good vibes in Don.

As the Chargers are looking hyped up today, Cole, I'll tell you what.
Very hype.
Let's have a day, kid.
What do you say?
Let's have a day.
Let's have a day.
It's just shaping up to be a beautiful day.
As we're still waiting for the tip off here, as Ohio Dominican is stretching out.
I think the key here, Cole, is just to come out with some juice.
Yeah, a little juice.
Come out with juice.
A little grit.
A little grit.
Show them what we're made of.
A little punch him in the mouth.
MCDC-type grit.
Absolutely.
As tip, Savannah Smith wins a tip.
McCormick with a rebound as Kaelins' plane takes the ball up.
Working her magic.
Gives it to McDonald's back up to the Splane, swinging around the top of the key to Alec of Anuchus.
As McCormick kicks it down to the paint to McDonald's.

who's looking to get up a shot as she does.
No good. Rebound Chargers.
Check that. Rebound Panthers.
Bryn Mullet, and there's a foul on the floor on the Chargers.
You guys had a lot more screens here for the Hilldale side of things on offense.
A lot of just pass and slipped the ball.
Not allowed to movement early.
Yeah, that foul is going to be called on Caitlin.
As they early break the press, looking to find their player, Bryn Mollett, who's guarded tightly by Alec of Inouc Nusius.
As he gets down in the paint to Jenna Shackleford, back out to Mollett.
Mollett, top of the key, looking to work, guarded by Splain.
Try to swing it to Sarah Oaks.
Sarah Oaks, guarded by Splean, drives, puts up a shot, no good.
Good defense by the Chargers.
Fantastic defense.
Good defense.
It's looking like it's going to be O'D-D-U ball.
Panther ball, yes.
I like how the charges press early.
Yeah, I mean, it's definitely a case.
As Bryn Mullen has the ball driving on Alika Venutius,
gets up and under for a tough bucket.
Very tough bucket.
5-0 chargers.
Nice ball up and under.
As McCormick gives it to McDonald,
who gives it to Splane at the top of the key,
guarded by Sarah Oaks.
Clis Plain puts up a three no-good rebound chargers, though.
Lauren McDonald on the board.
Gives it to explain who's driving.
Hopstep, kicks it down to Savannah,
Smith in the paint puts up a hook shot no good out
Tonsie ball there goes out for the left hand hook this loses it loses control and that'll happen
Loses it tough what's most important is not to lose focus here
5-0 Panthers early as they easily break the press swings it over to Bryn Mollett
who swings it back to number 22 Gabby Stair who kicks it to general Shackleford in the
paint driving on Savannah Smith looking to put up a shot which she does another
tough layup
Newark to Newark connection.
Newark to Newark connection.
Jenna Shalcifer with a tough bucket,
which makes a 7-0 Panther ball.
I like how...
Check that charger ball.
I look what Odie's doing offensively right now.
As Kaelins-Splaine gives us McCormick, top of the keys.
McCormick, looking to drive.
Looking to put up a shot.
Can't find it.
Nice inlet pass to Alec of Nuccious.
He falls on the ground.
As Savannah Smith shoots a three and it's good.
Drano by Savannah Smith.
Big bucket to get things going here.
No, she's a weapon from inside, weapon from outside, too.
Yep, nice little stretch five.
As Jenna Shackleford swings ball at the top of the key to Sarah Oakes.
Who kicks it down to Gabby's stare at the paint for an easy layup.

looking to beat the press.
As they toss the ball away,
it'll be Savannah Smith with the ball
poked away as McCormick drives.
Euro step up.
No good.
Rebound Panthers.
Tough miss on the fast break.
You've got to get points when you can,
especially on fast break opportunities.
Absolutely.
Need to get that.
As Bryn Mullet has a ball
trying to direct the offense here.
Really just trying to get the offense going.
I mean, they're going well,
but I think a lot of the issues
coming from the Chargers defense
being faulty around the ODIU offense
being great.
As Alka Vinutius tips the ball away as is being intended for Bryn Mollett.
Panther ball, eight seconds left in the shot clock.
As we'll have two substitutions.
Ellie Bruce and Sidney Panassik for Savannah Smith and Sarah Alkavinutius.
Yeah, I think on the Hillsdale side, offensively speaking,
need a lot more ball moving, a lot of more screen set.
A lot of sit and hold with the ball.
Not a lot of move it.
And that's probably not scoring many points right now.
Additionally, Jenna Shackleford is.
out for Shannon Wojack.
She's good. As Bryn Mollett
makes a pull-up three-pointer,
fantastic shot, quick shot out of the break.
She's looked good. So far,
she's a bucket. As McCormick
has the ball at the wing, kicks the Panasic.
Looking to drive. Goes up with
left hand, no good. Rebound Ellie Bruce.
As the ball is taken from her by Sarah
Oakes. Oakes taking the ball up
and... Girl down.
Megan Mayotte hit the floor.
As Oakes finds number
22, Gabby Stair. Yeah, I think he'll
He'll need to look for a timeout here soon.
A lot of momentum on O'DU side right now.
That's Panassi has a ball on top the key.
Back to McCormick.
Looking to fit the ball inside of Ellie Bruce.
Post it up.
Going up with her right hand.
Layup is no good.
Rebound Chargers.
Check that.
Panthers.
The Shannon Wojack.
As Brynn Mollett has the ball,
guarded tiny by McCormick.
As they find, number 22, Zagbby staring the paint,
who kicks to the corner, kicks to the wing.
Sarah Oaks driving.
out to Bryn Mullet. Brin Muller's shooting good. Has she missed? Wow. She is electric. She is on fire right now.
She is not missed a shot yet. Which makes the score 17 to 5. With five. Hantlers over the chargers.
We're going to a timeout break here. I'm Cole. I'm calling.
No such radio freehills at 101.7 charger basketball. We'll see you after the break.
Is the car all packed? Yep. Camping gear? Check.
Smoors and hot dogs? Check. What about the old camping radio?
Hear more of the Golden Age.

And we're back out of the break.
The Panthers are up 17.5 in an early dominating fashion.
Yeah, Bryn Mollett is looking like a bucket early and often.
She has not missed from the floor just yet.
Chargers need to put something together as McDonald takes the ball up the court.
We're going to get some work on, kicks a display who's guarded tightly by Sarah Oaks.

Petrazek, who step back
three-pointer, Brin Mollett puts up the shot no good.
Best in this one. Oh, as they get an
offensive rebound, Megan Mayotte,
as
Gabby Oaks passes
to Mayotte. I don't agree with that call. That's what I call
foul on Lord McDonald on the floor. I don't agree
with that call at all.
Yeah, Brent Bullitt,
finally missed a shot as good to see.
Hopefully she's cooling down a little bit.
Good to see for the Chargers, for sure.
Sure.
As Sularski checks in for McDonald.
And for the Chargers number four,
Magnolia and Salarski.
That is Magnolia and Sirlarisky, as are our twins.

driving, gets up and under. No good. Rebound. Panthers again. Kicks it over to
Brynn Mollett. Wow, these Panthers are just getting the boards. Chargers got to get a rebound
sometime soon. As Mullet kicks it to Oaks. Oaks driving around, spin, kicks it to Mollet
in this corner. As is a foul.
When, those are charged? Charging foul on O'DU. On ODAU, number 23.
Shannon Wojack.
Yeah, the Chargers defensively need to start boxing out and get rebounds because
office rebounds leads the points.
And if we want to win this game, we got to limit the rebounds and second chance points.
Opportunities, Colin.
Yeah, absolutely.
I get that.
As Sularski takes up the basketball, looking to get some work done.
Kicks the juror buddy, Ellie Bruce.
Out to Splean.
Swayne looking to shoot does not.
We're going to make some work.
As kicks a fantastic, fantastic driving, swings it to Solarski.
As they call it travel on Sularski at the top of the key.
Yeah, that's travel.
Yeah.
Pick the feet up too fast, put it down too fast.
That'll happen.
A stop from the charges here would be big.
Yes, absolutely.
You got to stop number three for O'DU, Bryn Mollett.
She's looking like the hot hand here early for the Panthers.
Sarah Oaks, the 5-4 guard from Beaver Creek, Ohio, guarded tightly by Sularsky.

What was that? Fowling, uh, Annalise for us. Gotcha. Gotcha. You had a foul on Annalise Petra Zick.
Calling a hold. I thought holding was only in football, Cole. Well, Connolly Cee, there's holding in basketball as well. I see it's holding in basketball as well. I see now.
As Cameron Pickle has the ball swings it over.
Brynn Mullet shoots the three and it's no good.
Got it tightly by Petruzick as McCormick gets the rebound.
That's two straight misses for Bryn.
Looking like she's cooling down just a little bit.
As Petrazick finds Splane who's kicking him down in the paints at Savannah Smith.
Looking at some work.
Looking to shoot, but she doesn't.
As Splain has the three ball, puts it up and it's good.
Uh-oh.
Great shot by Caitlin.
Cutting the lead only to two.
Somebody's getting hot for our team now.
As Gabby Oaks drives kicks it quickly to number.
Number 22, Gabby Stairn puts it up and it's good.
Quick response by O'DU.
I mean, when you have a Newark Ohio product on the floor, I mean,
good stuff just happens.

Top of the key.
Looking to find her buddy Splane, presumably.

Cameron Pickle.
Jen and Shackleford will be shooting two here for the Panthers.
The foul is on number 21 Savannah Smith.
Her first.
Kit from Liberty Township, Ohio.
As Shucklford makes her first.

That's for sure. Wow, I can't even tell
where you're from.
As Shackleford makes her second.
Where's the Brighton Love out here? Free throw.
No Brighton Love. But Brighton Love.

We'll see you after the break.
Welcome to the Grammar Minute, where we're saving the English language 60 seconds out of time.
I'm Lauren Smith back with another writing tip of the week.
There are some words that you almost never need to use, no matter what you're writing.
This includes words that are boring, overly complicated, or poorly defined.
There's a long list of words that could fall into these categories,
but a few that come to mind include very actually good, bad, biweekly.
If that sounds suspiciously specific, check out the...
episode I did on that miserable word, literally unique and phenomenon. If you feel like you
must use one of these words, first consider whether there's a stronger word you could use.
Replacing good with almost any other adjective, for example, is almost guaranteed to make
your writing more interesting. Second, consider whether your reader is likely to need a
dictionary to understand what you're saying. There's a fine line between interesting and
overly complicated and the best writers walk this line like prose. That's your grammar minute.
The benefits of playing multiple sports from the youth level through high school are being proven even by those who've made it to the so-called next level.
Welcome back to Charger basketball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM.
I'm Colin still.
And I'm Cole Bryant-Canner still.
Cole Bryant-Canter.
Shout out Kobe Bryant.
Shout out, rest in peace to a great.
One of the best.
One of the best ever, really.
What do you want to see from the Chargers here is in the second quarter, Colin?
I was just about to ask you that, but you know what?
I'd love to see some stout defense and just focus it on the fundamentals.
We got to make some shots.
Just take what we can get, you know?
Sure.
As Brandon Mullet kicks it to her good buddy Gabby Stair.
Who's looking to find Megan Mayotte.
Looking to drive on Alka Venutius.

McCormick, looking to drive and get a shot up.
Swings out to McDonald.
McDonald puts up the three, no good.
Rebound McCormick.
Oh, they're going to call over the back.
They called it on the ground foul, on the Panthers.
Check that.
On the Panthers.
Bad communications by me.
That won't happen again.
Check me on that.
As McDonald kicks it into Ellie Bruce, top the key.
Swings it back to McDonald.

Fantastic defense by the Chargers.
McDonald has a ball, bringing it up to court.
As McCormick has, Pink Shoes, go.
Up with a shot, no good, what they're going to call foul.
Blocking foul, and she'll be shooting two.
Absolutely.
Looking like two of the Chargers have pink shoes.
Bring some flavor to the basketball court.
Sure.
It's always cool when you're able to display.
Some creativity on the court.
Absolutely.
Even besides playing basketball, even creativity on the feet, you love to see it.
You want to wear orange cleats next year?
Yeah, sure.
Sure. As McCormick misses her first free throw, she didn't like that. I could tell. I'm sure you could too.
I could tell also. Shook her head no, which probably means she didn't like that as she goes for her second free throw.
Puts up her second free throw and she makes it. Drain-o splasho.
I've ever heard that one out of you?
That's a new new lingo. As Gabby Oaks takes the ball at the court, guarded fiercely by McCormick, who swings it over to Mayotte.

Myote driving swings it out to Oaks.
Oaks finds Myote again.
As the shot clock is winding down,

No.
We are in Hillsdale.
As Mayo kicks it down to number 22, Gabby Stair, who goes up.
It's a blocking foul.
She'll be shooting two at the line.
We'll see what they can shoot free throws down in Columbus,
but what you're saying about Newark Ohio, you think they can.
Yeah, a 2-2-A misleas, presumably.
as we have a plethora of substitutions.
Sularsky coming in.
Petra Zick coming in for Splain and McDonald,
the two leading scores of the Hillsdale Charger basketball team.
Seeing what we could figure out here.
Great turnaround by the Chargers after starting out really slow.
As Stair makes her first free throw.
What I say?
What do you think, Cole?
About what?
Anything.
What do you think is going on right now?
How do you like it?
Odie's really only scoring threat is Bryn Mollett,
and she's been cold as of late.
Astaire makes her second free throw.
Absolutely.
No one's been proven shooter out from the outside
besides a Brent Mullet for the Panthers.
Everything's basically going through her
when she's on the floor?
As Shannon Wojax subs in for Gabby Starris.
Sularski takes a ball up to course.
Swings into Panastic back to McCormick.
Looking to find her good buddy Petrazzac,
who drives.
Puts up a shot, no good.
That's a hard hit on the floor
as everybody gets up okay, luckily.
No father?
As fast break by Sarah Oakes.
We're going to work on Solarski, the freshman, who swings it out to Mrs. Pickle, who gives it to number four.
Macy Chapman, who gives it to Oaks. Oaks, pull up with a mid-range shot, no good.
Rebound McCormick.
McCormick driving fast, fast, fast, who kicks it back to Slarsky.
Slarsky hesitates on three behind the back.
Stolen by Chapman of the Panthers.
Yeah, it's real sloppy ball right now.
I'm not going to lie to you, Colin.
Yeah, I got to slow down a little bit.
I completely agree.
is going to call a foul on number four.
Magdalena Sularski, the kid from LeMont, Illinois,
as we're going to call immediate timeout here.
You're listening to Radio for those at 101.7.
I am Colin Cantor.
And I am Colin McCurton.
We'll see you after the break.

As her and won, she's shooting her free throw here.
I'm sure she was happy with that.
Sure she was.
Chargers couldn't have been too happy with that.
As Swayne subs in for Petrazik.
She has two fouls right now.
Something to watch.
Early foul trouble, but that's why you get five, six, even.
Five.
As Rulman subs in the game.
Five in college.
Gives it to Solarski.
Taking up the court.
Back to Rulman over to McCormick looking to kick it to Ellie Bruce.
Ellie Bruce down the sideline gives it to Slalarsky,
who's a job on the baseline, kicks out to McCormick,
a little bit of an errant pass.
Might need to slow down a little bit as McCormick has a ball.
Guarded by Chapman, screened by Ellie Bruce.
McCormick doesn't use it.
It shoots a mid-range shot, no good.
A rebound Chapman for Panthers as Sarah Oakes is pushing it quickly.
There's a lot of confusion on the charger side of the ball of that possession.
As Wojack kicks at the number 11 pickle who shoots a shot no good three-pointer no good rebound McCormick
As Roman has the ball driving it up court looking to find somebody anybody finds McCormick
Who spain shoots the three no good rebound strong rebound by Shannon Rojack
As Sarah Oakes is driving up she's quick with it she's trying to find somebody inside as she doesn't she turns it over right to Ellie Bruce
As spain is on a fast break two on one opportunity pulls up the mid-range shot and is
Good. Great shot by Caitlin's playing.
We just slow it down a little bit.
Create some separation for the mid-range
shot there. It's a fast game here, Cole.
Yeah, it is. As charges down 31, 32,
three minutes left in the second quarter,
as Chapman kicks it over
to Shannon Wojack,
blocked by Ellie Bruce.
Barbecue Chicken Alert.
Fantastic defensive play.
Great blocked by Ellie Bruce. Come there on the help side
of things there. Aggressive defense is good
defense in my books.
As Sarah Oakes has a ball
guarded by Alika Vanousius.
Sarah Oakes her looking to go up and under, but she
doesn't. Kicks it to Chapman for the
three, no good. Rebound.
By number 23, Shannon Wojack.
As Cameron Pickle has the ball.
Gives it a chuckle for her looking to drop step.
Because up and under for a tough
lamp, no good, though. Rebound Slarski.
As Slarski, he's pushing the pace.
Check that, slowing it down.
Gives it to Alkavenucious.
We're canning.
We're canning.
Up to McCormick.
Going up baseline.
No good, but they're calling a foul.
McCormick will be shooting two at the line now.
Let's see if she can get two for two here.
I'm sure she wasn't happy with going one for two last time.
See what she can do here.
As Panasda comes in for Ellie Bruce.
The freshman.
Out of Lancaster, Ohio, Fisher Catholic High School.
McCormick dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble.
Puts up the shot.
first free throw and it's good
making this score 32 32
32
as Shuckleford
is wanted to come out but she's not
so there's a little bit of confusion on Odeu's
part trying to figure out who's at what
looking like the charges have size
might be able to get an offensive rebound
forbidding a miss
she puts up a shot note and it's good
as Gabby's stare
comes in for Shuckleford
Yeah, Bryn Millick came out hot, but it's been closing it down a little bit.
She's been over the floor for a while either.
No.
Sarah Oakes has been in the game the entire time, by the way.
As number four, Macy Chapman puts up a layup, and it's no good.
Rebound, though, by number 23, Shannon Wojack, and she puts it up, no good, kicks it out again, rebound Panthers.
As Gabby Stair puts up, hits the bottom of the rim, rebound McCormick.
McCormick, just wanted to slow it down there.
A lot of basketball, a lot of crazy basketball there for the Panthers, looking to slow it down.
As Lewarski puts up the three, no good.
Alka Venusius with the offensive rebound, stolen by Gabby Oaks.
Hustle player out there.
Sarah Oaks, check that.
Good call.
As Chapman swings it over to Pickle.
Pickle driving baseline kicks it over to Oaks.
Oaks for three, and it's good.
Quarter three.
Quarter three by Oaks.
I like that drive baseline.
by Prickle to find the open teammate in the corner for a three.
As Splane has a ball top of the key guarded by Pickle.
As McCormick kicks it to Panassick, kicks his Larski.
We can find Splane inside, dribbles back out,
kicks it back into Alkavenousius in the paint,
kicks out Solarsky.
Solarsky for three.
That's good.
Bangorang.
Corner three.
Come on a three.
Chargers up.
36, 35, a minute, 13 left in a half.
Scabby Stair, kicks it to Pickle.
Kakes it back to Gabby Stair puts up the left-hand of lamp.
No good, but there's a foul.
Gabby Starr will be shooting two from the line.
Things have been a little sloppy.
And I'm going to say this here.
I just heard the announcer say, Sarah Alec Vanucious,
and I regretfully say that I've been pronouncing it wrong the whole time.
I'm surprised.
Alka vanacious.
Sure.
Vanacious.
It's also prickle?
Prickle, not pickle.
It's also shackle for it?
Not a shuffle for it.
Welcome to the,
welcome to broadcasting as Gabby Stair makes her first and misses her second free throw.
As the rest are calling a line violation on number five,
Alec of Anosius, hopefully I got that right this time.
A stair does not capitalize on this, misses her second free throw yet again.
as plain directing traffic, calling the offense, taking the ball up,
looking to get some plays.
McCormick cutting.
Alka Vanasia's back screen, Panasic with the ball top of the key, didn't shoot.
As McCormick looking to get a shot up, doesn't.
Nice little crossover goes up with a right foul.
Jump ball.
Jump ball.
Charger basketball, though.
The arrow is pointing to Hillsdale.
Not a lot of movement on the often side, things with chargers.
No.
I don't know.
Got to be able to peckers.
penetrate. A lot of isobar right now.
A Solarski, a kid. Kits a panastic top of the key, who kicks it down to Alka Vanasius,
stolen by Gabby Oaks of the Ohio Dominican Panthers.
dribbling around, trying to find some daylight, doesn't, gives it to Chapman, guarded by Alcimanosius.
Who gives it to Mrs. Wojack in the corner, up to Prickle, back to Oaks.
25 seconds left in the first half, 36, 36.

Gabby Stair drop steps goes up the left and is good little mismatch air 13 seconds left for the
charges 10 seconds left as Solarski's pushing the pace trying to get a layup and she has an
open layup and it's good no defense mode to you three two one as Gabby Oaks puts up a
half court shot oh close but no cigar for the for the Panthers as we're going to the
half. 38, 38. What a ball game. Chargers and Panthers are tied in Don Tibbitts Potter Arena on this
fine Thursday night. I'm Kyle McCurnan. And I'm Cole Canter. We'll see you after the half-time break.
Thanks for listening to Charger basketball, Radio Free Hillsdale. We'll see after the break.
See you.
Back to Charger Basketball 101.1.7 FM Radio Free Hillsdale. I'm still, Kyle McCurne.
I'm still Cole Canter. Cole, what do you think?
The key to the Chargers winning the basketball game today.
We got limit paint points for O'DU.
That's what they're mostly doing right now because the brimble is not hot right now from three.
On the offensive side of the ball, I like to see more movement, more screens, not just hold the ball and everyone's staying outside.
I like to see more movement, more screens, things of that nature.
Yeah, it feels a little stagnant on the offensive side for the Chargers as well lately.
Sure.
I mean, we're getting great shots.
I mean, we got the stats here.
We have spleen with 14 points shooting four for six from three in the first half.
five for ten overall.
Looking great.
Laura McDonald,
seven points, three for seven,
one for three from three.
But then Britt and Mollett on the other side,
their best three-point shooter.
Three for seven right now,
came out really hot but really slowed down as of late.
They're not really shooting all too well from three.
Oh, I mean, it can four for ten.
Not crazy good, not crazy bad,
but Chargers shooting seven for 14.
So we'd love to see that continue for the Chargers.
One thing to note that
the Panthers are currently running sprints
on their side of the court.
Wow.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
That's a little bit crazy, I'd say so.
Sarah Oaks is dogging it because she has played 18 minutes of the 20 minutes of the first half,
which makes sense.
I would be tired, too.
Not sure how she's doing it, respect to her.
But, um...
Gunners.
Yeah, I think the chargers just really need to keep it up.
O'D had a 12-point lead at one point with five minutes, 15 left in the first.
They went on a 7-0 run in the first, like, three minutes.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
But we'll see here. ODAU is definitely dominating the paint points, 20 to 12 over Chargers.
They also do have more turnovers, 10 to 6 over the Chargers.
Also, offensive rebounds has been a key for the Panthers.
They've been out rebounding us, most of the game.
So I see the Chargers get more defensive rebounds.
Yeah, I mean, overall, they have 10 more rebounds than we do the first half.
Most notably, five more offensive and five more defensive.
More second chance points for the Panthers.
Yeah, can't be giving up.
second chance point chance that second chance is like that as there's 10 seconds left until the second
half begins we're looking for a great one here cole 38 38 38 tie ball game and dawn tibut's potter
arena here let's get after it let's get after it col's have a heck of a second half
cole's enjoying nachos right now shout out nachos everywhere around the world shout out guess who's

Sarah Oaks, check that.
What did I say?
Gabby, Oaks.
I keep saying that, don't I?
Let's go.
As we have Splain McCormick, McDonald, Alec of Acknowis, and Smith in the basketball game.
It pickles in, too, if you cared.
Pickles in the game if you even cared.
As Sarah Oaks, the 5-4 kid from Beaver Creek, Ohio.
Finds Gabby Stair, top of the key guard.
by Alka Vanasius, kicks it over to Mollett who's back in the game.
Looking to put up a shot, gets blocked by McDonald.
No barbecue chicken today.
No family barbecue back there.
No, absolutely not.
As McDonald finds Alka Vanasius, kicks it over, McCormick.
Looking to drive, and she does.
Goes up and under with the right, no good, but there's a foul on Mrs. Mollett.
Bryn Mollett, the senior from Berlin, Ohio, 5'7.
Attack the rim early.
As McCormick's going to go to the line with the...
The pink shoes, as we mentioned earlier.
Sure.
A little fancy on us.
A little fancy on us, for sure.
Kendall McCormick, triple, dribble, dribble.
Looking to shoot, and she does.
No good.
First free throw is no good.
I see more arc on the ball, you know?
I would agree with that.
I would agree with that.
It's more of an arc.
You're trying to hit a home run, not a line drive to center field, you know?
Sure.
As she shoots again as good.
If it's doing it.
If it's worse for her.
If it's worse for her.
Who are we to hate on her craft?
Sure.
You know?
As Sarah Oakes.
Guarded by McCormick kicks it over to a good buddy Brynn Mollett,
guarded by Splain.
Splane-Grainer tightly all the way.
Oakes, switching with Splean, switching with Smith on Shuckleford.
Shuckleford post-spin, kicks out to Mollett, back out to Oakes,
guard by McCormick, spin by Oakes.
Poked out by McDonnell, gets the ball back, back out to Mollett.
Top of the key.
Not much penetration by the Panthers here as Mollett.
Looking to shoot.
Three seconds left, step back mid-range.
Great shot by Mollett.
Maybe getting hot again.
Excuse me, McDonald.
has the ball driving up.
Yeah, Mullet's getting hot again.
Hopefully that's not the case,
but it's what it looks like right now is Smith has the ball,
top of the key.
He's over for good buddy Splane.
Spain looking, kick it down,
can't out to McDonald.
As Smith has in the paint,
kicks it out to McCormick.
McCormick for three, no good.
Rebound, Savannah Smith.
That's what we're talking about, Cole.
As Smith goes up and gets it in, Savannah, Smith.
Bullie ball right there.
Bully ball from Lekota East High School.

Macormick driving into the paint
puts up a little floater, no good.
Prickle with the rebound.
Gives it to her good buddy Gabby Oakes.
As Mullet.
We're going to find Oaks.
Oaks puts a little floater, no good.
Rebound charges McCormick.
What do you think about that, Cole?
It was getting sloppy again here early.
I would agree with that.
That's why I look to you.
McDonald kicks a display and back to McDonald.
As she finds Alkvinashis on the cut,
who kicks it out to McCormick wants to shoot three dozen
as McDonald's the ball.
puts a little fadeaway layup no good as Alkavin Herschel's a tough rebound kicks it out to McCormick
McCormick looking to direct traffic doesn't give us it to McDonald I don't know if I were

McDonald swings out to Splane as there's 20 seconds left got a lot of time the shot clock
as McDonald drives goes up with her left no good blocked gets throw a rebound Panastic for three
no good foul on the floor offensive foul number 11 called it on Panassic
How could that have happened if she shot the shot?
I don't know. I didn't see what happened prior to her getting the shot.
As the rest are discussing this.
Never mind. Number five.
On Alka Vanasius, that would make sense.
I was being confused there too.
Yeah, I didn't know that you can be aggressive shooter.
Sure.
I guess that's what they do in the military, right?
As Sarah Oaks swings it over to Mullet.
Gives us to Oaks.
Guarded by Alka Vinoxious.
Whoopty-do, over to Prickle.
Over to Mollet.
The hot shooter.
As she shoots a fade away.
Air ball, doesn't find the rim, no good.
Out of bounds, charge a basketball.
Is it?
The ref pointed us this way.
Oh, pointed the other way now.
We're going to call this Pantha basketball.
Interesting, intriguing and interesting.
As they get the ball into Gabby Oaks, who's looking to go up and under, she doesn't.
Brent Mullet has double covered.
Shoots the three, no good.
Oh, lucky bounce.
Rebound Sarah.
Oaks.
Off his rebounds.
As Pickle shoots a shot, airball.
No good.
As they get another rebound,
misses Mollett with the rebound.
As Gabby Oaks,
we're going to drive again,
goes up and under,
and it's good for the third attempt.
Tough finish there.
All lucky bounces and real grit
shown by the Panthers.
Sure.
This is the ball game here, Colin.
Yeah, it is.
44-41.
Panthers up on the charger,
six minutes left with third quarter.
First G-MAT game.
of the year. Yeah, absolutely.
It's a big one.
As McDonald's going, it's right and one for
McLaren McDonald's. It's just
a different type of ball when he gets into
conference play. Are you kidding me?
This is G-Mack basketball.
Not G-Mack football, G-Mack basketball.
G-Mack basketball.
As a hule bundle of
substitutions, check that
only two for the Chargers.
Emma Rulman and Ellie Bruce coming in for Savannah

What a humble guy.
Very humble guy.
humble. Most humble guy I've ever met my life.
Absolutely. As plain dribbles the ball on the court.
Think shoes. Again,

As Rulman has the ball, gives it to McCormick.
Back to Rulman.
Because it underpaints of Ellie Bruce.
Ellie Bruce, ball tipped away, gets her own rebound.
Check that, gets her own lost ball.
Kicks to the McDonald, no good.
As Rulman fights for a rebound,
doesn't get it. As Mollett has a ball.
Stolen by McDonald's, stolen
again by Prickle.
yet again, man. What's happening? Gabby Oaks
goes up and under for a layup.
He gets two points for the Chargers.
Turnovers will be the difference.
Oh, yeah. As McDonald driving the ball
up, gives it to Rulman.
Looking to find somebody, finds
McDonald again.
McDonnell sent up the offense.
Ellie Bruce, top of the key.
Yep. As they call a push on Splane.
Crafty play by Gabby Oaks.
Not sure if it was a real push or not, but...
I saw an extension of the arms.
Yeah. She sure sold all it was.
as we're going to be going to a timeout here.

Sarah Oakes gives it back to Prickle.
Back to the hot shooter.
Mullet.

Oaks driving baseline swings it out to Mullet.
Crafty pass.

Blocked with authority by Lauren McDonald.
Wow, what a block.
What do they say about that?
I don't know. What do they say?
I don't know either. I was looking to you for that one.
What about the family barbecue?
You got barbecue back there? You're going to invite me?
Oh, come on now.
We have a foul on number 30 for the Panthers.
Sarah Oaks.

Offensively, take the best shot possible.
Yeah.
Don't shoot any four shots that we've been doing a little bit lately.
And on the defense side of the ball, let's get gritty.
Why not?

As Oaks makes her first free throw, as she's dribbling, focusing on her second free throw through,
it's quiet in Don Tibbet's Potter Arena.
She puts her second free throw up and is good.

Oh, and she's not rewarded for it as they're going to call a reach-in.
Ruffs are getting whistle happy.
A little bit.
But you know what?
The Chargers play through that.
We play through it all.

And Colin just did knock on wood for us.
Shout out Wood Table in Dawn Timbs Potter Arena.
As McDonald makes her first three-point...

Born in Chicago in 1843, Judson turned out to be a natural born inventor.
Unfortunately, most of his inventions,
were unworkable. That is all but one. In 1893, he was granted a patent for his

That's Koss Davis.
He's a referee.
He's the licensed referee.
As charge's line of McCormick, McDonnell, Panas,
Explane and Smith.
Looking to just put all they have out there to win the game as the Panthers are rolling
with Shackleford,

Wow, what a pass by Wojack, just out of the re-show of Chapman.
Caustly turn over there for the Panthers, only up one.
As Splane gets the inbound, dribbles up court.
Looking to talk to coach.
Who do you think coach is?
Coach Brianna Brennan.
Coach Brana Brennan says probably said something along lines of you should probably score the point here.
Let's see if that's the case.
As Panastic Kips gets into McCormick, McCormick to McDonald, beautiful turnaround jump shot.
She's Hooper.
Coach Brina Brennan's words, wise words to score the basketball, came to fruition in the hands of Lauren McDonald.
As Chapman has the ball, looking to work on McCormick, what doesn't.

I'm Lauren Smith, and today we're highlighting some astronomical events to watch for this December.
All seven planets are up this Christmas season, with Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn bright to the naked eye,
and Uranus and Neptune visible with binoculars.
The Geminid and Ercid meteor showers are active, peaking on December 13th and 22nd, respectively.
Look for different colors in the unusual Geminid meteors.
December may also see more aurora thanks to our active sun.
Beautiful winter constellations and objects include Orion with the Orion Nebula in his sword,
W-shaped Cassiopeia with the nearby Andromeda Galaxy and double cluster,
the Pleiades and Hyades clusters, and all the stars of the heavenly G.
And we remain alert for the recurrent Nova in Corona Borealis to suddenly appear to the naked eye.
That's your Astro Minute.

What is going on here?
Uh-oh.
Trouble with the clock.
Uh-oh.
So the clock is not stopping from the timeout,
but I think the best course of action here is just to wait out the 30 seconds.
Sure.
There can't be a single way that they can fix the clock otherwise.
I think we just got to wait all the way until it gets back to 30 seconds.
You got winning night lines or Packers?
Oh, you know what I'm going to say.
Sure, I'm going Packers, though.
I'm going by three.
My three.
Going Lions by 15.
Lions got too many defensive guys out.
You know, it's definitely costly.
And the Packers are playing hot ball right now.
Yeah, but can you not talk about hot ball without the Lions?
Are you the best team in football?
Sure.
And we're back.
A little side ball talk there.
Yeah, as the clock was getting fixed, 30 seconds left in the game.
Gabby Oaks with the ball.

I'm Lauren Smith back with another writing tip of the week. There's some words that you almost never need to use,
no matter what you're writing. This includes words that are boring, overly complicated, or poorly defined.
There's a long list of words that could fall into these categories, but a few that come to mind include very actually good, bad, biweekly.
And if that sounds suspicious.
Let's go, Radio Freehoso 101.7 FM, Charger basketball.
I'm Colin.
I'm Cole.
And we're back.
Again, action-packed.

I would honestly foul.
You're up three.
I was foul.
You think so?
Yeah, I know so.
Let's see what happens here then.
They do not foul.
They do not foul as they find the hot shooter, but it gives it to Mrs. Oakes.
Oakes looking to drive on Splane.
She does.

They don't get it.
Quick foul.
Okay.
Presumably, that's what I would think.
Presumably.
I'm watching ball most of my life.
That's been playing ball.
That's the majority of what happens.
Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, when you get to this point in game,
there's not much you can do except foul, you know?
Sure.
12.5 seconds in the game.
12.5 seconds adjustment left in the game.

Fowell against sports.
Blaine on Cameron Pickroll.
Smart foul by the ODU Panthers.
Doesn't let no time go off the clock.
The issue is you're letting Caitlin's plane shoot free throws.
And what's important to note is that she's 100% on the year.
She made her first.
Made her first.
Make the second, and that's really important for the Chargers.
If she makes this, I would foul.
Missed it.
As a quick timeout after the rebound by my.
Mollets.
We'll keep you here for this break.
Sure.
It'll be a quick break and we'd love to talk to you.
Let's talk, Ball.
What do you want to talk about, Colin?
Cole, I just want to know, like,
what do you think can keep,
what do you think can win Ohio Dominican game?
If you're a Panther fan,
let's not there from Hillsdale, Michigan.
What do you think can win the Panthers this game?
I'm either trying to dribble drive with Sarah Oakes,
what she's been doing recently.
If it's not there, I'm looking for a kickout
to your best shooter, Brent Mollett,
for three to win the game.
Yeah, that would...
Ten seconds left.
You got to imagine.
that they're trying to get the last shot here.
Presumably.
I mean, that's what I would see.
You would tell very early if they're trying to get the last shot
or try to score quick.
By the way, they bring the ball up.
Do you think that given the chance
that they don't want to have this last president,
you think they can get too straight?
A quick score or a quick shot and then foul?
You'd have to score in five seconds and then a quick foul.
But at this point, with 10 seconds left,
it's either you win the game or you lose the game.
Yeah, absolutely.
I mean, Gabi.
Or you're going overtime.
one to three overtime is definitely a possibility we'll see there's so much stuff to unfold here cool it's like a never-ending story yeah it is but i want you to tell the story that was sweet let's tell it together we'll tell a story together as it all unfolds
as we are back from the timeout chargers locked arms in the huddle unitary and solid is they come up for a break one team one heartbeat coach brana brennan is telling them let's win the game so we
Don't lose the game.
Sure.
And that's what she said, and I know it.
And they will win this game because she said that.
As the same lineup, Smith, McCormick, Panastic, McDonald, and Splane in the game.
Looking to play feisty defense.
As they find Pickerel, 10 seconds left.
Splane guarding Pickerel quick.
They look like they're going for a three.
Shackleford, driving.
On Panastic, goes up.
No good.
Rebound.
Pickle roll, rebound.
Spitz.
That good.
Last second.
two-point shot.
In and out for Gabby Stair.
Wow.
No, good.
And your Hillsdale Chargers
survive.
Survive in advance.
It's been the motto forever and always.
That's what our ladies did here tonight.
And it wasn't the cleanest, and it wasn't the dirtiest,
but it was definitely a game for the ages.
