Still charge your basketball on Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM starts now.
Good evening, everybody. Welcome to Radio Free Hillsdale 101.7 FM. I'm Gabe Theemar.
I'm joined by Don Toderio. Here in Don Tewitts Potter Arena. We've got your Hillsdale Women's Chargers.
Basketball game here tonight against the Tiffin Dragons. Your chargers are currently 10 and 8, 6 and 6 in conference play.
Currently are the eighth seed in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference standings. This is important because
the top eight teams in the conference make it to the conference tournament.
And they get to dance the postseason.
Tiffin, your Tiffin Dragons are currently...
Sorry, sorry about that.
Your Tiff and Dragons are currently the ninth seed in the G-Mack,
9 and 11 overall, 4-9 in conference.
So a win does not make them jump Hillsdale.
Hillsdale could lose this game. It's still been the eighth place.
But if Hillsdale wins this game and moves up to seven and six,
they enter a three-way tie for Ashland and Walsh for the sixth, seventh, and eighth spots in the tournament.
And just one game back from fifth seed Finley.
So they very much need to win here tonight to keep dominating here in the GMAC.
And speaking of dominant, your charges are undefeated.
7 and O perfect here in Don Tippett's Potter Arena.
So it votes well for the Chargers.
Not right, Dillon.
Absolutely.
Both the men's and the women's team have been doing a great job at home, but away not so much.
Absolutely.
And with this Tiffin team, we are having, it's a big time, big time matchup currently in the standings.
But your charges are confident, mainly because of their height.
They're definitely a taller team.
In addition to that, for your starting five tonight, we've got number 40, Emma Rulman, number 21, Savannah Smith, number 23, Annalise Petrusik, number four, Silarski, and number five, Sarah Alikanishas.
Speaking of Annalise Petrusik, she has been the lights out from three this year.
continuing what has been a
multi-year run now
of the Chargers having an elite
three-point shooting point guard on the team
features it currently shooting
39% from three
just incredible.
Steph Curry-level numbers
out of Annalise Peters
as your chargers get ready to tip off
against the Dragons.
Savannah Smith set to tip off
against number five, Gariana Overton

Fadeaway jumper, goes.
Smith strikes first as your charge of the league two zero.
Nine minutes and ten seconds left in the first quarter.
Dragons take the ball back.
Drive, pass, try to pass, deflected by Alucanetius out of bounds.
So the dragons will retain possession.
Dragons, Tiffin, inbounding the pass.
Over the top of the key, dribbles.
Pulls a move, points past at the corner.
Shot is blocked.

Top of the key now, Tiffin has the ball.
Tiffin passes.
Again, down to the corner, down to the low post.
Gariana Overton.
Passes, pass, pass,
goes high and is intercepted by Annalise Pitcherzik.
Pechersick slows the game down,
gets her offense set up,
spin move drives
looks like you're trying to pass
Savannah Smith but ball goes out of
bounds I think
the advantage down low of Savannah Smith
I think the height and muscle
advantage down there is something that could definitely
be exploited
absolutely I don't think Tiffin has the size
to be with his team
oh but as Savannah Smith
comes out of the game
Ellie Bruce checks in
in addition to
Magdalena Solarski
Tiffin
Passed at the top of the key, down to the low post.
Back out to the three-point line, three-point shot goes up, and is good.

Ellie Bruce with her own and one shot for your charger
She'll go to the free throw line
That was a great play right there by the entire team
Great ball boom is swinging the ball for one side to the other
And then dumping it down low and getting the N1
Absolutely and I think that's how the chart's gonna win this game today
Is between some pain dominance out of Bruce and Smith
Bruce goes the line to shoot her and one shot goes up does not go
rebounded by Tiffin and your chargers get back on defense
Tiffin dribbles puts a crazy three-point shot up does not go

dribbles.
It is ruled out of bounds.
Sear Chargers, retake possession.
Despite being down four to six,
I feel like the Chargers defense has been really good.
Moving off, the pick and roll is really good,
and dominating down low.
Maddie Smith takes the inbound pass from Sidney Panassik,
passes back to Panasik at the three-point line.
Over to Slarski, who fumbles ball out of bounds.
it looked like she was getting ready to turn her head and start driving before she had actually gotten possession of the ball.
Just easy mistake, just a focus thing.
But Tiffin's got the ball back.
Tiffin has the ball at the three-point line.
Dribbles. Hux has a pass over to the corner.
Drives.
Passes back out to the three-point line, top of the key.

It's good.
Spanus Smith with a big three for your charge to take the lead.
Seven to six, four minutes and 20 seconds left in the first quarter.
What a shot.
I don't think anyone on the different bench expected that to go in,
but it was nothing but net.
Absolutely.
Chargers are showing why you can't leave any of them wide open.
Even the ladies who are six foot three and six foot four.
as your chargers get a rebound from a block Tiffin's shot
Smith takes the ball back up and is good again
Savannah Smith with five points in about 20 seconds

rebounded by Rulman on a good hustle play,
passes back to Silarsky,
and your charges have the ball again.
That is a momentum killer,
missing a wide open fast break playup right there for Tiffin.
And shout out to the captain, Emma Rulman,
who hustled down and got that rebound.
Rulman's pass to Bruce
Looks like it's going to bounce out of bounds off of the dragon player

As Tiffin takes the ball back, passes over to the three-point line.
It stands out of bounds.
That's twice now by the Chargers bench that a Tiffin player has accidentally
stepped out of bounds in possession of the basketball.
We love gifted possessions here in Hillsdale.
As Alan Kinesh passes over to Rulman, who dribbles with one second, left puts a shot up, does not go.

Hammer, and these are the most impactful
moments in American history.
February 23rd,
1846, the people
of Philadelphia gather together
to celebrate the birthday of the nation's
first president, George Washington.
As in previous years, the president's
birth was celebrated by ringing
the liberty bell,
which by most accounts was one
of the bells rung on July 4th,
1776, to
celebrate the signing of the Declaration
of Independence. Over the years,
the bell was rung to signify celebrations, protests, and revolution.
These monumental moments left indelible marks on the bell, both figuratively and literally.
But it was during this historic celebration that the crack deepened, and the bell was silence for good.
Despite its fracture, the Liberty Bell became a symbol of American independence,
proving you don't need a perfect bell to let freedom ring.
Fox News.
The Dean's List with Janice Dean.
An off-duty firefighter from Louisiana makes the dean's list for pulling a woman from a burning car before it burst into flames.
Andrew Nixon was driving home from a wedding with his fiance when he saw the car crash between a vehicle and an 18-wheeler.
Not only that, but the car's tires were on fire.
He saw that someone was trapped inside the vehicle, so he pulled over and ran out to see if he could help.
Andrew used his bare hands to smash the windshield and injured himself in the process, but knew he only, he only took.
only had a few minutes to get the woman out. He says somehow by the grace of God he was able to get
in and lift her out before the car was completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters arrived on scene
and the fire chief says without Andrew the woman would not have survived. She was airlifted to the hospital
and although firefighter Nixon's hands were cut and bruised, he says it was all worthwhile. Janisteen,

I mean, the fives are 100% in control of the game for both teams here.
Absolutely.

Hillsdale College
Women's Basketball
here against
the playing against the
Tiffin Dragons
your charges
currently trail
32 to 34
got about
eight minutes
until the second
half starts
let's
what do you
what do you think
it's so far
Dylan
well I mean
this game has had
multiple shifts
in momentum for sure
it started out
Hillsdale was in
control and then Tiffin
went on a
wrecking ball
or run
Coach calls timeout, get our heads back on,
and to the centers for both teams just went back and forth.
And one, and one.
You know, just jump shot, mid-range, just scoring every single time.
And just in transition, too, the transition game has been key,
especially for Tiffin.
They have had probably half their points coming off the transition.
Absolutely. Transition defense is definitely,
currently the greatest weakness for this Chargers team.
But one of their biggest strengths is Savannah Smith.
I believe she's dropped 14 points, 14 or 16 points out of her teams 32 in the first half,
including a big time three point shot, some step back fadeaways in the low post,
you know, some, you know, some shack downs and putting up some layups.
And she's just doing it all tonight for this Chargers team.
Certainly she had the hot hand to finish the half there too,
especially when that three ball went down
that's how you know she had the high hand
absolutely she looked cool calm and collected
on the sideline and on the court
now opposed to her
is the tiffin five garyana overton
and she's having just as big of a night herself
with two
for the momentum it was big
back to back
and one layups
possessions for the dragons
and she made both
and one
free throws
and she's also having
a lights out game this is the Battle of the Bigs
that's what we are predicting
the Fives
we called that early on
during this halftime break
while we were away
yesterday was national
women women in sports
day women's in sports day
and so we had
all of the lady chargers
out on the court celebrating
them cheering them on as they
pass t-shirts into the crowd
volleyball, softball,
basketball is obviously in the locker room,
track and field.
I think I'll swim out there?
Swim. Probably tennis, maybe?
Tennis, definitely.
Celebrating all of the women
here at the Hillsdale College
Athletic Department. Some of the
lucky fellows who caught t-shirts
from our chargers
was we got some football players in the corner,
Evan Beannick, Gavin Chenevy,
Zach Affalter, and John Metzker.
Some Hillsdale football coaches in the stands.
Coach Deckerd, linebackers coach.
And what could be coach Calvin
up in the top right corner of the stands.
That's to be confirmed, though.
We got some men's basketball players
down in the corner, C.J. Yarian,
and Cole McQuinney, some other notable names out here,
working the event staff, mopping the floors,
making sure that all of our athletes stay safe,
is Hillsdale College quarterback, Colin McCurnan,
Tiffin prepares to take the court.
Again, this is a big-time matchup for your charge.
Your charges currently sit at number eight
in the GMAC women's basketball standings.
they are 10 and 8 6 and 6.
4 context.
The top 8 teams
make the playoffs
or the GMAQ tournament
and vibe for a GMAQ championship.
And this game means just as much for the Chargers
as it does for Tiff.
And Tiffin's currently the ninth seed.
9 and 11 and 4 and 9 overall
against GMAQ competition.
So a loss to the dragons does not mean the dragons will jump your chargers,
but it definitely brings them just one game apart.
And more importantly, if Hillsdale wins,
they enter a three-way tie for six, seventh, and eighth place with Ashland and Walsh universities
at seven and six overall in the G-MAC,
putting them only one game behind Fifth C. Finley.
So a win here tonight, and they are right back in the mix.
a loss and they are fighting to crawl,
they're fighting to maintain possession of the eighth seed.
Another tidbit for your chargers is they are currently undefeated at home,
a perfect 7-0.
The many repeat fans and seasoned veterans in this stadium
have never seen the Lady Chargers lose this season.
A perfect 7-0 at home being tested by Tiffin,
your chargers currently trail them 32 to 34 at halftime
both teams out here now get some shots up getting warm for the half
only 2.30 until we tip off second half.
I think one of the biggest things Hillsdale has to do
as good as Savannah Smith and Ellie Bruce have played at the five tonight
Hillsdale needs to start making some of their three-point shots.
They have made some.
Salarski, Petrusick, and Savannah Smith all have some big threes for this team.
But this season, they've been prolific shooting 34.4% from the three-point.
And they lead the G-MAC and rank the top 25 nationally as the three-point shooting team.
And we just haven't seen that elite three-point shooting tonight.
Part of it is because Tiffin has been doubling Petracek all night.
One of the best three-point shooters in the G-MAC and in the country.
in addition to Petrusik, Emma Rulman, Sarah Alkenetius,
and the twins, Amelia and Magdalena Slarski,
also are normally very good three-point shooters.
So just getting them open and get some open shots,
that's definitely going to be huge for this Chargers team.
The other reason these charges win is because they're unselfish.
They're a team full of high-character women who, you know,
they do things the right way, and none of them are spotlight-hungry.
Even Petrazek who has every right to, you know, crave the big three-point shots.
And, you know, with her ability, she could easily justify taking, you know, more shots than she does.
But this team is very selfless and it's very team-oriented.
They average 14.7 assists per game.
That's one of their big-time strengths.
That is second in the GMAC at 29th in the nation.
Overall, four assists.
I'd also like to mention
Tiff had a lot of their points coming out of transition
I think that if Hillsdale can just slow tempo down a little bit
on defense you know
force to try to run some plays
they've looked really good once they've set up down there
on the defensive side
absolutely
and you know if they can win tonight
they'll improve to a perfect 8 and 0 at home
and that's huge for this team
because five of their last eight conference games
after tonight are at home
So, you know, just you keep dominating in your home state,
you defend Don Tibbet's Potter Arena, and, you know, they'll go dancing.
And all you got to do is make the tournament, anything can happen.
But that will bring us back to the second half.
About to start shortly.
Looks like the Chargers will have possession to start the game.
Start the second half, sorry.
Emma Rulman passes inbound to number four.
for Salarsky,
Solarsky dribbles.
Top of the key logo

Petrizek.
Passed down to Rulman to the low post.
Pumpfakes a shot goes up
and is good.
Emma Rulman tying this game
34-34 on the first possession
of the second half for your chargers.
That was a great fundamental
you know, pump fake, go up with the strong,
makes the basket, that's well done.
Tiffin takes the ball back to their side
of the court, makes a wild layup
attempt, does not go.

This is The Making of America from the Jefferson Media Group.
How do you eliminate a nuclear threat without starting a nuclear war?
That was the crisis facing President John F. Kennedy for 13 days in October of 1962 as the entire world watched in fear.
U.S. spy planes had confirmed the Soviet Union was installing nuclear-tipped intercontinental ballistic missiles in Cuba,
capable of reaching America's heartland.
A direct attack on those installations was not an option,
as Kennedy expected that would evoke possible direct military confrontations
with the Soviet Union.
However, a breakthrough was reached
when the Soviets agreed to withdraw
their long-range missiles from Cuba
if the U.S. would remove their medium-range
missiles from Italy and Turkey.
This has been the Making of America.

About a city named after perhaps one of the coolest people in American history, Houston, Texas.
Founded on August 30th, 1836 by land investors, the city gets its name from the general and politician Sam Houston.
Houston led Texas to independence from Mexico at the Battle of San Jacinto, just 25 miles from the future site of Houston, Texas,
and taking place months before the city's founding. The city served as the capital of the Republic of Texas,
which existed from March 2, 1836 to February 19th, 1846, before it became the 28th state.
Houston, the man, served as the president of the Republic of Texas for most of its existence,
and was one of the inaugural senators representing Texas after it became a state.
He is a long and impressive military career and was a respected politician.
It seems fitting that there should be a major city named after someone as influential and impressive as Sam Houston.

in the game the 4th
fourth quarter. More t-shirts getting tossed around as Breonna Brennan talks to her team draws up
some plays. Dylan, how do you think the Chargers can, you know, complete this comeback and get this
victory? I mean, number 23, Annelese Petrazek has just taken over in his last couple minutes. Two
big-time threes to keep them in the game. They're still down by two points. But if they can keep
the momentum coming out of the timeout here, that would be big time.
You know, just slowing it down on defense, taking control on offense, feed the big girls down low.
That's been working really well for them all game.
And then all the time, the threes are dropping, so why not let them fly?
Absolutely.
As this timeout comes to a close, Tiffin, University, the Dragons, Hillsdale College, the Chargers, will take the court again.
Again, your Chargers trail 57 to 59, four minutes and 44 seconds left in the E4th.

That'll be Magdalena Silarski.
And Niederst will go back to the line.
Chargers currently trail 59 to 60, just over four minutes left.
Coach Brennan talking to Silarski, but will not check her out.

Magdalena Slarski takes the ball back for the charges and they'll take a timeout.
Brianna Brennan, third-year head coach, four-year charges.
Coach Brennan getting her team right with a play design and a new message for this offense.
What are your thoughts, Dylan?
I mean, there is a minute and 20 seconds left, 80 seconds left in this ball game.
They're down by two.
They have possession here.
you gotta hope we draw up a good play and we execute it to the best of their abilities.
If you're Coach Brennan, do you design a play a two-point shot for one of your postplayers,
Bruce or Smith, or do you design an open shot for one of the Slarsky twins or Petrusik for three?
You know, being down by two with a minute 20 left, you're going to have more possessions,
so it's not crazy to draw up a three-point play, but I would play a conservative.
I would try to get yourself a bucket, tie it up.
Go down and rely on our defense.
Our defense has been really solid all night.
As long as we can stop in transition, I think we have a great shot of holding them on defense.
So let's get two points here, play some good defense.
Let the points come.
I agree.
If I'm Coach Brennan, I'm drawing up a play for number 21, Junior 5, Savannah Smith.
Absolutely.
She's been playing lights out today.
Three point shots, fadeaway jumpers, deep twos, layups.
She's been doing it all tonight for the Chargers.
Then for your chargers is number 21, Savannah Smith, 23.
Petrusik, number five, Alecanesius, 15, Maddie Smith,
and number 40 and team captain, Emma Rulman.
Rulman set to inbound the ball for your chargers.

They trails 61 to 63,
59.8 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Petrusik passes the inbound
to Alucanetius.
But Gary, Gary on Overton
gets our hands in there and forces a jump ball.
It will be Tiffin basketball.
Overton has been leading this Dragon's team
both on offense and defense.
We go to another timeout.
And, well,
Chargers need to get another stop.
We're in the same position,
but 23 seconds have passed.
A couple missed shots from both sides have brought us here.
Don Tibbs Potter is tense right now.
What is your game playing here for the coach?
I think you need to funnel everything.
What I would do is I would load up the paint
and force them to try and shoot.
the three-point shot, get this ball off, because they have not shot well from three so far today.
Neither team has, to be quite frank, but if I'm coach Brandon, now I'm calling the defense.
I'm making sure that we guard the one, two, and three, and just make sure Gary on Overton
doesn't make a crazy play down low like an N1 layup again.
Tiffin inbounds the ball.
Megan Campbell catches the inbound pass for Tiffin.
Campbell passes to

McGee passes to a teammate

40 seconds left in the fourth quarter
that has got to be
uncharacteristic for two double
dribbles in the last, I mean, 40 seconds of game clock, but unbelievable there.
But it's playing in the Chargers favor for sure.
Tiffin is playing an unbelievably sloppy game on all fronts, double dribbles,
stepping out of bounds on down near the sideline with the ball in the corner,
multiple times, travels.
They've just played a very sloppy game of basketball, yet they've done enough on defense
to hold a two-point lead over the Chargers.
currently.
Chargers will probably have one, maybe two more looks, you know, at getting a bucket here.
They need two or three to take the lead.
Absolutely.
Everyone here in Dodgers Potter Arena is very tense.
Stressable game here.
An undefeated, a perfect home record.
A perfect 8-0 home record is on the line currently.

13 seconds left.
What a play.
With 13 seconds to spare the chargers
get the bucket, they've been looking for
for the last 70 seconds, which the last 70 seconds
has felt like a lifetime.
It's been hours over here in Don Tibbitts Potter Arena.
The atmosphere definitely just lightened up
after that ball went in.
I think everyone is still on the edge of their seats.
Absolutely.
And now you need to drop a defense to prevent any sort of game-winning shot out of Tiffin.
And hey, we might get some free basketball here tonight.
What is your defensive scheme here?
They got to take the ball all the left to court.
They have 13 seconds.
Nothing is allowed.
You need to play tight defense.
You can't do what Tiffin did.
and leave a guard wide open in the paint, obviously.
But I think you really, you got to keep the ball out of Gariana Overton's hands.
Number five for Tiffin.
Force one of the guards to shoot a deep three,
but do not let Overton get the last bucket.
And for your charges on the defensive possession,
Grulman, Maddie Smith, Petrusick, Savannah Smith, and Alucanetius.
Neaters passes in to Overton.
Overton has the ball at the top of the key. Passes to Campbell. Over to McGee. McGee dribbles, guarded by Petrusick. Passing back out. Two seconds left. Megan Campbell has a shot up, does not go.
And as the time runs out, we've got overtime here in Don Tibbitts Potter Arena. Some free basketball for you.
Your chargers and dragons are all tied up at 63 at the end of regulation. We'll take a 60-second time out.

Now in the low post shot goes up.
Does not go in.
Tiffin gets the rebound, tries to put.
a shot back up, heavily guarded by two Chargers defenders.
Ball goes out of bounds.
It's Charger basketball.
I'm gonna technically goaler number 40, Emma Ruhlin.
She was diving for a jump ball, got up, and then I kind of bumped a Tiffin player there,
right in front of the ref, and, you know, wrong place, wrong time.
Yeah, I personally disagree with the call, but I'm not the one wearing the stripes.
I'm currently wearing a Hillsdale hoodie.
And so number 14.
Peyton McGee will take free throws.
Colin McCurnan waving under the hoop trying to get a miss.
Unsuccessful.
She makes her first free throw.
Drivels.
puts a shot up again.
McGee misses her second free throw.
Now the Dragons will also be able to inbound the ball for themselves on their side of the court.

A deep three-pointer.
and overtime? I don't know.
Emma Rulman now is about the top of the key four-year
Chargers passes to Maddie Smith in the corner.
Down to Savannah Smith, the low post.
Ball gets knocked out of her hands,
but it will remain Charger basketball,
much to the dismay of the Tiffin team.
All of their hands went up at once.
Maddie Smith will make the inbound pass for the Chargers
over to Petrusik. Petrusik.
Dribbles. Passes to Emma Rulman

Is fouled by a charger.
You know, in credit to the defender there, her hands were up the whole time.
Tiffin player just drew the foul.
Absolutely.
And Tiffin will go to the free throw line, but not before timeout.
We've got one minute left in overtime.
Your Chargers lead by 4.71 to 66.
Two possession lead.
Oh, sorry about that.
Sorry, Hillsdale Education.
failing me currently.
Five point lead for your chargers.
Two point two possession lead.
71 to 66.
Coach Brennan.
Oh, Coach Brennan, sorry.
Coaching up her chargers.
A pair and forth.
Another possession here in Don Tibbitts Potter Arena.
Everyone is on the edge of their seat currently.
Opposed to the overtime, I mean, regular, regular time.
Not sure what I'm saying there.
We are up by five with a minute.
left rather than being down by two.
It's definitely nice to get the other end of that.
Absolutely. A seven point scoring swing
since the last two minutes of regulation.
McGee's first shot goes up and is no good.
McGee prepares to make her second shot.
Goes up and makes it.
Your charges lead 71 to 67.
One minute left in overtime. Passed to Alucanetius.
Press defense out of the dragons. They look to foul.
Passed to Maddie Smith.
ball past Al-Kanesias. Al-Kanexas is fouled by, oh, timeout. Time-out was called. Sorry.
58 seconds left in the overtime period. Your charger still leads 71 to 67.
Probably looking to hold the ball here for a little bit. I don't know if it's any strategy to
play a better free throw shooters in the court now. Not sure what Tiff is going to try to do here.
Whether they're going to try to foul or just ride it out and see if they can dig out of the
four point deficit.
We'll see.
How about Annalise Petrusick?
We talked all night about how good of a three-point shooter she is.
She has lit the switch in the second half and overtime here.
After a quiet first three-quarters, she's got three-made three-point shots in the last eight minutes of game time.
Sarah Al-Kanesha is preparing to make the in-bounds pass for the chargers.
Sends it over to Pechizek.
Peachesick passes to an open Al-Kanesha who dribbles,
trying to avoid being fouled, gets fouled,
and she'll go to the free throw line.
71-67 chargers, 54 seconds left in overtime.
Al-Kanesha's at the free throw line.
No one's set to rebound for your chargers.
Shot goes in.
72-67.
Al-Keneas prepares for a second shot because in women's college basketball,
there is no single bonus.
We're straight to the double bonus.
Campbell gets the rebound.
Passes to a teammate.
Three point shot goes up.
Is no good.
Jump ball is called.
Charger basketball.
Your chargers lead 72 to 67.
44 seconds left.
And overtime.
Emma Rulman.
Paring to make the inbound's pass.
Passing to Maddie Smith.
Maddie Smith dribbles.
Passes to Petrusick.
No one around her.
is fouled.
Being the lights out shooter that she was,
she probably looked around and realized it was
smarter to just let herself get fouled
than to potentially risk a turnover
by passing one of her teammates.
Her shot goes up and is good.
She prepares a second. Take her second shot.
Goes up and is good.
74-67. Your charges lead.
37 seconds left in overtime.
After a...
insanely close, regular time, I guess you could say.
You know, going to overtime, Hillsdale has looked very dominant in this overtime.
Tiffin has gotten little to nothing going on offense,
and Hillsdale is having your way on offense.
This is, I think, what we see when you've got a really good coach and Coach Brennan,
where you can, you know, you just put your team in a position to win.
All you got to do is keep it close at the end,
and you give an extra five minutes to play,
and now they're running away with it.
Your charges take the court again.
That's Petra Zalachia.
Magdalena Solarski.
Sarah Alucanis, Savannah Smith, and Emma Rulman.
Tiffin preparing to inbound the ball.
Campbell takes the inbound pass.
Dribbles down to the corner passes.
That's McGee.
Shot goes up and is good.
Three-point shot is good.
Your charges lead 74, 70, 33 seconds left.
In overtime, Emma Rulman passes to Al-Keneasius.
Ball goes out of bounds.
The game is not over here.
and there's still 31.8 seconds left.
Tiffin down by four,
and they have the ball back after making a great three-point shot.
Tiffam preparing to make an in-balance pass down on their own side of the court.
Passes, that's Campbell at the top of the key for the Dragons.
Passes over to the corner, that's number 12.
Back to Campbell.
Who passes, shoots.
Blocked by rule.
With a great block and steel, and she'll go to the free throw line after Tiffin fouled her.
They lead, charges lead 74, 70, 20 seconds left in overtime.
Emma Rulman, the senior captain of this team at the free throw line.
One of the hardest workers on this team.
She's made countless effort plays, whether it was a steal or a rebound,
down the court, which is the only one down the court for the Chargers.
She puts her first shot up and is good.
Preparers for her second shot, dribbles, shoots it, and is good.
Your Chargers now lead 76 to 70.
20 seconds left in overtime.
I think it's safe to say this game is looking up for the charges.
Definitely looking up for the charges.
They hold this, barring any catastrophic collapse,
and they will improve to 8-0 at home.
7 and 6 in conference play tied for 5th with Ashlyn Walsh
in the G-Max standings and 11 and 8 overall.
With a loss, Tiffin would fall to, sorry, with a loss,
Tiffin University would fall to...
Four and ten.
Four and ten.
In conference play.
And all but eliminate them from contention to make the GMAC tournament.
Tiffin makes an inbound pass.
Campbell.
Passes over to number two neaters.
Three-point shot is good.
Your charges now lead 76, 73.
14 seconds left in overtime.
You know it's crazy.
Every time you think Tiffin's out of the ball game, they go ahead and make a nice-looking three-point shot.
And just like that, it's a three-point ball game.
One possession there.
Absolute dagger out of Tiffin's number two, Niedurst.
It isn't important to note neither team has any timeout slats.
So after this timeout, it's box running for 14 seconds, and it is what it is.
Through Hillsdale, you're just trying to keep Tiffon fouling.
And if they do have to file, make sure you're wearing,
or make sure you've got a lights out shooter like Beatrizak number 23,
folding the ball.
Currently in is, besides Petrusick, is Maddie Smith, Savannah Smith, Emma Rulman.
Number five, Sarah Allen Kineshius, making the in-bounds pass.
Passes to Maddie Smith, ball goes out of bounds,
and they call it Tiffin basketball.
Although I thought that...
It looked like Tiffin player just knocked it out of the hillside players' hands,
but, you know, we're up here in the Crow's Nest.
We can't always see that well.
Absolutely.
And the clock didn't even start.
It's still 13.4 seconds left.
Megan Campbell takes the inbound pass for Tiffin.
Tiffin.
Give and go pass.
Whoa!
A Tiff player tackled Emma Rulman.
Being pulled down from behind while going for the loose ball.
As the ball rolls out of bounds, they still call it Tiffin basketball over on their side of the
court. Tiffin passes in.
Three point line holds it.
They need a three point shot. Corner three is blocked.
Sarah Allen Canecious.
Blocks.
In my house.
What could have been a game-tying three-point shot for the Dragons.
Tiffin will make another in-bounds pass.
0.5 seconds left. They need to catch and shoot.
No one catches the ball and your charges win.
76 to 73 in overtime.
What a game.
to 8-0 at home.
And coming up next, we're going to have your Hillsdale
men's basketball team take on the different men's basketball team.
But for now, your women's, Hillsdale College women's basketball team are the victors.
It has been a blast call on this game.
Tonight, thanks for joining us.
