Two shots to layup. Yeah, this is going to be a big matchup. Hillsdale College is coming into this game at 17 and 8 overall, 14 and 4 in their conference, looking really good. Ursuline's coming in at 8 and 18, 7-11 in conference, so they've had a little bit of a rougher go at it. But we're stretching a good game today. Tonight, today is senior night for the Hillsdale Women's Team, celebrating our seniors Lauren McDonald, Carly Callahan, Marilyn Powell, Caitlin, and Ashley Conwell. and what amazing careers these women have had here.

Hillsdale comes into this game. Third in the GMAC conference, they've already clinched postseason tournament birth and are looking to, they're fighting with Finley University to maintain a top four seed and guaranteeing home field advantage, home court advantage,

the first round of the tournament. The GMAC tournament is an eight-team tournament, the top eight teams make it, the top four teams host the first round, and the winner has a guaranteed playoff. The NCAA Division II Women's Championship currently. Our last matchup against Ursulaan College, we won 73 to 52,

and that was in Pepper Pike, Ohio, at Ursula College. So, Hillsdale has beat them already this year, so we're looking to get another win in the conference matchup. Looking to build a win street in two. Hillsdale coming off a 69 to 57 win at University of Finley on Thursday, taking down the Oilers, number five seed in the GMAC conference. Some players to watch today.

Lauren McDonald, the leading score for Hillsdale Chargers, recently just scored 1,000 points in her collegiate career at both the Air Force Academy and Hillsdale College, averaging 14.6 points per game today for the Chargers coming into this game. Another player to watch is Kendall McCormick. She's a senior and she's averaging 8.5 points per game. We got to be looking out for these seniors tonight because it's their night and they're going to all be showing out tonight.

In addition to the seniors, you know, taking the next step after their careers here, another thing charge you fans should be excited for are some freshmen that are making waves getting some serious playing time this year as youngsters on this team one of them being Ellie Bruce who last Saturday had a career high 18 points and 10 rebounds stepping in carrying a load from savanna smith who has been out this past week with an ankle injury yeah she's been bawling out so we'll look out for her tonight We are one minute away from the National Anthem and Tip Off. I'm excited for this game.

I have this to be a great match with the Chargers. Yeah. Should be a good night for Chargers basketball. Afternoon. Another senior spotlight we have is number 30, Caitlin Splein from Chicago, averaging 13 points per game. recently set the school record for three points made.

She currently has 63 point shots made on the year this year. A school record. She will continue to build on today undoubtedly. Another, in addition to Lauren McDonnell has also scored a thousand points in her career her spending all four years here as a charger.

And, hey, fun first half for the Chargers, up 39 to 28 over the Ursuline arrows. What do you take you, Gavin? I mean, we're up by 11. I feel like we could be up by way more, though. Like, we played a really good first half. Just more shots fell. Like, we had some good looks that didn't go our way. Like, they can't really get the ball down low,

and they're struggling shooting the ball. So I don't know how they're going to really be able to catch up to us and score. I mean, I don't want to speak too soon, but it's looking really good for us right now. Yeah, and something to note is I'm seeing only eight players for Ursula. Yeah. And, you know, we all know that you don't, you know, in reality, eight might be all you need, but it does seem like an underman team, especially compared to the kind of depth that Hillsdale has. Yeah.

Especially with how they came out. I'm surprised they came out trying to push the ball so fast because now they're really just burning their energy that they don't, like, we can keep up with, you know. Like they came out and it was a closer game at the start, but we just started to pull away as they got more and more tired. I feel like the second half might be more of the same story. Unless they figure out that, oh, wait, we don't got the same depth. We got to slow this game down so we can compete.

Definitely a questionable coaching call. But on the other hand, you know, when you allow this Charter's defense to slow down and really get comfortable and, like, behind the basket, I mean, we saw it. They were trying so hard to feed the ball to a big woman, Sophie Klein, down in the post. But, I mean, she's, her and Dominie Gevin's kind of in the only bright spots on this Ursuline team. And a lot of their points coming off of fast break.

Yeah, really when they were slowing it down, they couldn't get anything. They couldn't get it down to the post. They were getting some open jumpers, and they made a few of those. and that's why they're only down 11, really. Definitely. We have 60 seconds. It'll start of the second half. It will be...
