Last home game of the year, last regular season of the game of, excuse me, last regular season game of the year for the Hillsdale Chargers. Taking on Ursuline, Erroline arrows. Ersline coming in a little bit of a cold streak. They've won in seven in their last eight, or excuse me, one in six in their last seven games. Need this one today in order to keep their conference tournament hopes alive.

Let's go to the starting lineups for the Chargers. Number 31, Ashley Conkel. Number five, the senior Sydney Mills, possibly playing our last home game. Number 23, Annalise Petrusik. Number 15, Kendall McCormick, and number three, Lauren McDonald. For the Aeros, it's the Clunin Twins. Number five, Madison Clunin. Number 20, Michaela Clunin.

number 12 Riley Stop is a starting lineup for the Ursline Arrows Ursuline comes into this game 17 and

I'm rifling through the stats here 17 and 10 overall, but they are 11 or 10 and 9 in the conference. Yeah, Ursula needs this game in order to keep their chances at making the conference tournament. This is a huge game for them because they are right on that border of making the commerce tournament. Hillsdale really wants to win this game. If they lose, there is a chance that they are the eighth seed map to go to Ashland in the very first round,

which is worst case scenario. With a win, nobody wants to play Ashland in the women's basketball. With a win, they still are probably most likely not going to hope. a game, but they will be either the five or the sixth seed, and they'll be playing either probably Treveka Nazarene or Northwood possibly. So hopefully Chargers get a win out here and keep that high seed. All right. The tip off right now is between Mills and Schreffler. Ursuline controls it. It's 20 Clunin outside. McCormick defending. Now in the hands of Schreffler, back out to Clunin. McCormick playing some tight defense.

Yeah, a little bit different here. Usually you see Lauren McDonald playing point guard, but we have Annalise Petrzik starting point guard for the Chargers today as McDonald is out on the wing. McCormick has it outside, past the Petrusik. Top of the key, gets it inside the lane to Mills.

Mills gets the little jump shot to go. That's two points for the Chargers. Yeah, it was a nice find there. By Petruszik, I'm at cut by Sidney Mills. Madison has it outside. Hand off to Statsbury. Statsbury driving in the lane. Try the little scoop shot, blocked by Mills.

Lauren McDonald has it off running for the Chargers. Pass to Petra Zick. She's going to take the quick three-pointer and get it to go. Yep, Hillsdale. Great job. there with the numbers. Number 24, Madeline Madison Statsbury was still running back and

he was still able to find the open man in the five on four. Stop has it now for the arrows. Hand off to Clunin. Michaela, that is. Michaela, step back. Long two point shot. No good. Rebound Mills. Gets into

to McDonald, brings it up. Long pass up to McCormick. She's got it in transition. Oh, but the layup is no good. Rebound Ursuline. Mills back to McDonald. Screen from Mills. McDonald, able to get in the lane and finish with the left hand. Nice finish there from Lauren McDonald. Yeah, great touch there by Lauren McDonald. Had to wrap it kind of a round in order to get that shot off, but able to get the little finger roll and roll the ball in. Stop has it.

Top of the key. A little hand off to Statsbury. Out to Clunin. Cross court pass to Statsbury. Takes the three. No good. Chargers unable to get the rebound. Earthline controls it. Another three-point attempt.

That one no good as well. Mills controls the rebound, gets it off to McDonald. Petrus Zick has it. Post-feet into Conkel. Pass tipped and lost. Ursuline has it. That's a turnover for the Chargers. Stop with a little behind-the-back.

Dribble move. Able move, able to get into the lane, but no good. Good defense there from Sidney Mills. Yeah, it was a great move originally by stop, but I think it was a little bit selfish there for her to take the layup and not kick it out for the wide open three. Ursuline whiffs on a steel attempt.

Chargers get an open look out of it but can't capitalize. Ursuline with a rebound, they're running. Clunin has it outside. Pass to her sister. Post feed. No good. Out to Shreffler. She's out on the perimeter.

A little screen. Clunin takes the three off the screen. No good. Rebound features it. She's bringing it up for the Chargers. This little dribble move of her own. Gets it out to McDonald, shot fake. Drive ball stolen by Clunin.

May have numbers here, not anymore. Kenna McCormick back into the picture. Ooh, and they're going to call a shooting foul on Annalise Petrusick. Yeah, I think Petrizzak got the clean ball there, but I think they're calling her for the lower body contact. Yeah, I think it was more about with the body. I don't think she made any contact with the hand of the arm. She was blocking that shot a little two-handed block.

Yeah. Put up both hands there. I don't know. I've ever seen that before. in basketball. Got both hands on it and then throw it down. Both hands up. Maybe what started as a shot contest turned into a block attempt as the first free throw is good for Clooning.

Five minutes, 57 seconds left in this first period. Chargers lead it seven to five. Caitlin Splain checking into the game for the first time as well as Savannah Smith. Donald has a little bit of pressure here from Erseline off the inbound. not much. Chargers, able to get it across half court, no problem. Ball inside, high post to Smith, kicks it out to Mills.

Now to Petrozek. McDonald, run around trying to get something. Petrersick dribbles into the lane, kicks it out to Splane. Splane, cross court pass to Mills, post feed. It's Petrusick inside the post. Little turnaround jump shot. What a move from Petruszick.

Right there, calm, under pressure, able to get enough separation and get that shot off, and then the shot was just very clean from her. We used to seeing her knock down shots from the perimeter not go to work down in the post. That was a great move. Coonan has it outside for the arrows. Driving left side.

Gets in the lane. Shot is no good. Offensive rebound. Oh, then they lose it. Sidney Mills has it. McDonald's skip pass up to Splane. Splane trying to force the issue. Gives it to Smith.

Takes the three, no good. Rebound Shreffler. Clunin brings it up. Nobody's ready. for the pass over there. She had three players, but nobody was looking for the ball. Luckily, they save it. Stop has it now for the arrows. Top of the

key, trying to set things up on offense. Bounce pass to Clunin. Now she has it up top. Back to stop. Stop trying to get into the pain area. Not much doing. Kicks it out to Statsbury. Statsbury gets inside. A little step-through shot. No good, but

Clunin's there for the offensive rebound and a quick putback. That was number five Madison, Clunin. Yeah, that's second or third time that Ercelain's been able to sneak under and get some offensive rebounds. He'll still got to do a better job either boxing out or just knowing where those players are in space. Chargers lead nine eight coming up on four minutes left. Lauren McDonald has it on the wing. Bounce pass inside to Mills inside out to Smith. Smith drives it puts a shot up nice little floater there there. Good touch from Savannah Smith. Yeah she split the two defenders, her defender and the defender who's

trying to play help defense and able to get a wide up and floater there out of it. Good shooting so far for the Chargers. Statsbury has it outside. Clunin coming around to her sister. A little face up here. Petrus Zick swats at the ball gets a piece of it, but Clunuch controls it. Hands it off to her sister.

These two are a huge part of this team. Another step-back jump shot, no good. Tough rebound from Sidney Mills. Got it to Splane. Splane's running. Gets it back to Mills, back to Petrazik. Smith has an open look in the corner. She takes it for three, and it's good.

has it quickly to spain back to McDonald. Yeah, it was a good move there by Clunin, but I mean, there was really good defense, and I don't know why she took that shot anyway. She thought that maybe after the move she'd fall apart. Usually that move works, but on that time it was not working. I thought it was a little too aggressive. And she got the shot anyways.

Maybe a shot that you would take if the shot clock was running down, but not one they needed to take there. As Sidney Mills draws a foul on the other end, not a shooting foul on the floor, Chargers inbounding. Smith has it outside. Gets it to McDonald. McDonald, deep three-point shot, and it's good.

What a great shot from Lauren McDonald. Look like Caitlin Clark out there. She was so far from the line. Yeah, really, really deep three-pointer from Lauren McDonald, but, I mean, when you make it, your coach can't be that upset, right? Yeah, she's got the green light. Ball inside.

Ooh. Ursuline loses it out of bounds, throws it back into the Chargers. Fast break here. Opportunity for the Chargers and Mills capitalizes. A little pull-up three in transition. We're not settling for two points today. It's three or nothing. Three-point land for the Hillsdale Chargers today.

Chargers. Off and running. Splane. Sort of slowly feeling things out. Now it's just Sidney Panasic. Checked into the game for the first time. Conkhol has it now on top of the key. Panasik in the corner.

Post-feed to Hallby. Nice move from Hallbine to shake the defender loose and get a nice little easy bucket right there. Yeah, Ersson, trying to get the jump, trying to get the steel there, but Halbyn kind of boxed her out and able to get a wide-open lay-up out of it. Good move from Hallbine.

Quick three-point attempt from Ursuline. No good. Oh, but the Chargers lose it out of bounds after the rebound. Yeah, Panasic. Panasic defender or offender fell the player playing against Panasic and so Conco tried to find her but the did miscommunication between the two and the ball just rolls behind her and rolls out of bounds.

Yep. Tough on the outlet pass there. It would be your sline ball down on their end. Ball into Clunin on the wing kicks it back up to her sister. These two are a huge part of this offense. Seems like the ball is usually in their hands. Clunin here. Find things out.

All stolen by Splane, but out of bounds again. Yeah, going to be 2.2 seconds left for Ersson. They get a basket here at the end of this first quarter. Chargers lead at 2311. They've got to get this ball in and shoot it quick. Two, one, deep three point attempt. Air ball, no good. After one, the Chargers lead it, 23 to 11.

I'm Lauren Smith, and today we're going to talk about one of my favorite grammatical mistakes, dangling modifiers. Consider the sentence, exhausted after school, even coffee couldn't keep me awake. You probably know exactly what I mean, so at least it's clear, but it's also pretty grammatically wonky. That long modifier at the beginning of the sentence, exhausted after. school is clearly supposed to be modifying I, but it actually modifies the subject coffee,

which if you think about it doesn't make any sense. Can coffee even get tired? The key here is to remember that when you have a dangling modifier at the beginning of a sentence, it will usually modify the subject of the following clause. So you could reword this to say, exhausted after school, I couldn't stay awake even after drinking a huge cup of coffee. And that would be correct. That's your grammar minute. leading 23 to 11 after the first period. They're shooting the ball extremely well. Looks like we're four of six from three-pointers, shooting 66%. I see that's pretty good, Evan. That is really good. And we are 9 of 13 overall. So shooting 70% on the game as a whole. Great shooting here from Hillsdale very early on.

And I don't know that, but they're getting open looks. None of these three-pointers have been even really slightly contested. Some of them have been in transition. They've been quick, but they haven't been contested. They've been hitting open shots. Chargers have it here to start the second. Lauren McDonald outside. Pass to Kendall McCormick.

Gets it into Mills and the high post, trying to get the high low going. Not there. kicks it out to McDonald. McDonald drives out to Mills. Another open three-point. Look, and it's good again. When it rains, it pours, right? Exactly.

Hillsdale, now shooting five for seven from three on the day. And Ersson, in a big deficit really early here. Chargers are going to keep shooting it until they miss. Ersline has it now outside. Ball into Shreffler in the high post, gets it down to the corner, back to Shreffler inside. Tough shot, fade away, no good. All goes out of bounds.

It's going to be Hillsdale ball. Yeah, it was some good defense there by Conkall. Got her body into her a little bit before the shot went up and didn't give her any open space. Gtreffler might be used to pushing people around. It's a little bit harder going against Ashley Conkill. Yeah. Both very physical players. Mills has it outside hand off to Petrusz.

Pechersick. A little fadeaway shot from the short corner. It goes again. She just can't miss right now. No, and she is just dominating inside the peaches. paint today, not just outside of it. Getting her points much close to the basket than we're used to sing.

Menser has it outside. Pass to Michaela. Clunin, that is. Inside to Madison. We're just going to go Michaela and Madison for the rest of the game. As the ball stolen by the Chargers. McCormick, a lot of pressure from Michaela, but she breaks it. Out to McDonald. Petersick in the corner. Shot fake. Drives.

Right hand, no good. Concoe with the offense. of rebound and the put back that one is good. Chargers is now up 30 to 11. Petruszik had her beat on the dribble but I think she got a little bit excited after making so many shots that she just thought that she could just throw that one up. Maybe a little bit of a heat check there in the paint.

But still a great drive and a great rebound got Ashley Cockwell. Mincer has it dribbling baseline almost lost it. First line saves the ball. Madison has it up top. Drive and spin move. Nice shot there from around the free throw line. off the spin move. They're able to get the shot off before the help was able to come in.

30 to 13 now. Lauren McDonald has it outside. Handoff Mills. Petrusick now with the ball. McCormick in the corner, post-feed to Conkel. Chinsett goes to work. Spin move, no good. First line rebound.

Skip pass up to Michaela. Back to Madison. Madison tries. Oh, going to be. an offensive foul moving screen on Shreffler number 30 yeah she shifted her weight

too much and falling over on that screen is something that you just can't do less of a screen more of a bump there on her leg a tackle she's a little bit of a moving but just a little push push her out of the way

yeah more of a push than the screen Chargers leave 30 to 13 7 minutes 22 seconds left in the second period Splaine has it on the wing inside to Petrusik again out to Smith for three and it's good again. So a little roll reversal there. Petrusick had the ball in the post,

kicked it out to Smith for three. Yeah, Petrusick, great job there too. That was a tough pass to catch and she fought for it and able to catch it and kick it out for three. Good job handling Statsbury. A little bounce pass inside to stop. Stop with a turnaround, left-handed shot.

No good gets her own rebound and he's able to finish with the left hand the second time. Yeah, Splein. somebody who's a little bit taller than they're playing some great defense but unable to to get the rebound after the missed shot. Tight not working to do it advantage there. This plane has it on the offensive end. Out to McDonald.

Another three. And it's good again. Surprise, surprise. This might be the best shooting I've seen from this team all season. First line waste no time trying to get the hoop. Lay up. No good. Clunin stays fighting after the miss and bats the ball.

ball out of bounds it'll stay with the chargers. I think Clunin wanted the ball to go their way and maybe it did. Maybe the ref missed the last touch by Hillsdale there. Yeah, got to be frustrating if you're a line out there. Playing against the team that's shooting the ball this well, I feel like this game has gotten away from you in a hurry. 36 to 15.

We still have six minutes to play in the second quarter. Yeah, Hillsdale's shooting 78% from the three point line. That's unheard of. Spanah Smith, up top to Spain. Splane wants to get in on the party. No good. It's the first missed three in a while. First line off and running.

Madison Clunin kicks it up to Statsbury. Statsbury handoff to stop. Stop trying to go to work. Kicks it out to Madison. Madison, step back, doesn't take the shot. Gets it inside to stop. A little step through. Oh, okay, no double juggle there.

You'd say ball was touched. Lost it anyway. McDonald has it now. Another tip pass. And the ball's going to go out of back. stay with Hillsdale. Ursuline being very aggressive on ball defense. Yeah, I think they're really, really frustrated with how this game is going at the moment,

with how well Hillsdale is shooting, first of all. And then second of all, with just how much you're down by, I mean, all the bounces seem to be going Hillsdale's way right now, and they're sick of it. Especially in a game that they need to keep their conference tournament, hopes alive. Splane has it outside, past the Holbein, near the corner. Post feet into Smith. Smith, Smith wastes no time with a little reverse layup, left hand,

I'm Tate Christensen. Today we talk about the first night game played in the MLB. In 1935, the Cincinnati Reds were a struggling. team. They could hardly draw a crowd, averaging about 2,000 fans per game. The idea was presented to bring lights to Cincinnati's Crawley Field in attempt to bring more fans to the game. They thought that bringing in these lights would help the games to be played in the evening or at night, so that people could come when they were off work. On May 24, 1935, a crowd of 20,422 fans gathered to watch the game between the Reds and the Phillies. From Washington, D.C., Franklin D. Roosevelt

flipped the ceremonial switch, and lights turned on in Cincinnati, and the game was played. The Reds beat the Phillies 2 to 1 that night, and later in 1935, seven more night games were held in Cincinnati. Night games were later expanded to other teams in other cities. It's been kind of start you dream about in a basketball game. They're up 38 to 15. Not yet at five minutes left in the second period, and the chargers are just shooting the lights out of the building today. Yeah, shooting 70% from the three-point line, shooting better from outside the three-point line than they are from inside of it. We'll see if they can keep that up the rest of the game. That's hard to do.

That is really hard to do. I don't really think that they need to. I mean, they've held Ersselin to only 15 points thus far, and I think that's been the story of the game. Not just great offense, but also great defense. Ersline with the ball here. Madison, clinton outside. crossover move gets in no good gets her own rebound tough shot put back she gets it

that has been the only thing that hillstone has not done well today they've not rebounded defensively to the wilderback yeah a lot quite a few offensive rebounds to the arrows albine has it uses the screen kicks it back out to panacek panosic to emma ruleman ruleman uses the screen and off to smith thinks about the three doesn't take it now the Splane. Shot clock running down. throws up a deep three. No good. Rebound Holbein puts it up. I think we're going to get a shot clock violation here

because the ball never touched the rim. So a couple of offensive rebounds on shots that never touched the rim and Hillsdale earns a shot clock violation. Yeah, Splane tried to try to get back the shot clock by shooting a deep three with six seconds left from the

shot clock, but unfortunately too short in Hillsdale able to grab the useless rebound. savannah smith have a day yeah lights out today she currently has has 10 points has she missed i'm not sure that she's missed shot she missed one three she missed her first three-point in the day she missed one okay so she just needed one to feel it out oh getting it done on the defensive end but they're going to call a foul the block was all ball it must have been a foul with the body I think they're going to call a foul on the trailing player, not on Smith. It was not on Smith? No. Okay.

You got a better eye than me yet. Yeah, the foul. Oh, no, they did call a foul on Smith. It was on Smith. I think maybe she got her with a kick out of the leg or? It was a very clean block. It was a very clean block up top. The charges were very excited about it.

Yeah. Number three. Kaylee Minch at the line for the arrows. She makes the first free throw. Chargers up 43 to 18, 3 and a half minutes left in this first half. Savannah Smith having a great game. Yeah, I'm going to guess. A number of other chargers.

This is her career high, though, with 14 points and she leads the chargers. 14 points. Three for four from three, including an and one three-pointer. Yeah, we're not even at halftime yet. Mills has it. They break the little press. Smith wants it underneath the basket. Oh, this is going to be the easiest bucket of the day for a little turnaround layup,

and there was nobody there. Yeah. Great fine there. Great ball placement by Cindy Mills. What happens, though? You run the risk of that happening when you're repressing on defense. We're trying to half-court trap. You find players wide open. Clunin has it, kicks it out to her sister.

Trying to get inside the lane. Chargers making it so difficult. They steal the ball. Splane off and running. Quick pass to Mills. Mills finishes inside with a chance for a three-point play. This team is playing. with incredible energy right now.

Some great original help defense. And then on the runback from Emma Rulman, she pokes the ball out, Splane, dribbles it down. Having a great game on both ends, really. Hillsdale, up 51 to 23. Savannah Smith, leading the team with 16 points, including three, three-pointers and one of them. She got the end one, making it a four-point play. Sidney Mills also has double digits, having 11 points and seven rebound. for Sidney Mills.

The already leading historic Hillsdale rebounder just broke that record a couple weeks ago. Yep. Overall, Hill still playing a great game defensively. I mean, Ursulim does only have 23 points. There are quite a few players missing from Erselin's team.

Just not here today. There are five players who are regularly on the roster who are not there. There are a couple players on the sideline who we believe are just injured players. But there's a couple players who just are not here because we're not have enough for the team.

So Erselin may be down a couple players, including one possible starter in Alexis for Z. So it's been a really rough day for Ersson all around. Erslan getting frustrated at times. All that being said, though, feels like they can have a first half that good. It's possible that they could turn things around and close the gap. Ursuline has it first here.

Start the second half. Yeah, too many offensive rebounds. Once again, like I said in the first half, the one thing that Ursulin has outdone Hillsdale in is Hillstall has not rebounded well

defensively. Nerselan able to get a lot of offensive rebounds. It's that Hillsdale just isn't finding the players that they're supposed to be boxing out. Also is unaware of where Erselin's players are, when the shot goes up, and that Erselin is just kind of sneaking under him, but the ball is kind of popping up and falling right into their hands. So yeah, it's a little bit of luck if the ball is bouncing towards them. But Hillsdale, it has to be able to To counteract that by boxing out. Shreffler splits the free throws at the line. Score now 51-24 Chargers lead.

I think they may have given her a little bit of a warning afterwards she was talking the ref as the charges quickly beat the press and Caitlin gets free for a layup nice job by Splane there that's what you want to see when you do beat the press that decisiveness right there just because you got a big lead doesn't know you can't stop scoring is ursline

gets a quick bucket of their own that's macaela clunin able to get inside and get a little layup yeah so that ursulin did the entire first half was they drove the ball down there very quickly but but hillslin never had any problems in the first half so i never really talked about it as smith finds herself in a tough spot along the baseline tried to throw it off a player out of bounds unsuccessful ursline gets the steel it's riley stopped driving hard and she's going to be found by a hallbine Riley stopped shooting two free throws for Ursuline. The pace has been fast this whole game,

but they seem to be taken into another level here in the second half. Both teams running up and down the court. That's what Ursuline wants. They want to... Yeah, I would say I think that placed Ursulins advantage. Yeah. They want to get things moving. They want to get the charges, putting up quick shots.

They're outscoring the Chargers 16 to 10, but still quite a mountain to climb. 21 points here, and we got 15 minutes left of gameplay.

Yeah, it was that early time when they went on an 8-0 run that really Ursula is still banking on. Blaine has it outside, pass to Smith. Smith gets it to Holbein in the corner. Nothing there, dribbles back towards the middle, back to Splain, shot clock running down. Panasic puts up a deep three. No good.

And we're going to have a loose ball foul on number 40 M. Aulman. Yeah, good job fighting for the rebound. I think it probably was a foul, but it's one that you can get away with sometimes. And when you get the offense rebound there, it's very beneficial. Well, like you said,

Hillsdale struggled to rebound a little bit in this game, more so on the other end, the defensive end. But you can excuse. I don't think aggressiveness going for a rebound or foul. I don't think so. I don't I don't think so. Ursuline has it. Top of the key. Riley's stop.

Inbound to McDonald. Less pressure here from Earth's line. Harters get across half court. Ball of Displaine, post speed to conkel. Nice bounce pass to a cutting mills. No good. McDonald able to get the rebound and over the back foul called on number 24 Statsbury. Yeah, it was a good job there by McDonald.

And I think that even if they wouldn't have called the foul, she was going to score that. I think she would have too. And she'll be shooting. We're now in the bonus. So she'll be shooting two free throws. Also really nice play from Ashley Conkel there. Nice bounce pass to find a cutting teammate. Great bounce pass.

Chargers have moved the ball well this whole game. As McDonald makes the second free throw. And Danny Holbein will sit down as Petrizik checks in. She's had a nice game. To Menzer brings it up, handoff to Statsbury. Out to Clunin. Back to Statsbury. Statsbury, driving underneath the basket,

It kind of hook shot right there on a little spin move. A lot of patience too. You could see she was waiting for maybe something to set up, find a shot for a teammate, but eventually just took it herself. Mitch has it. McDonald defending. Pass to Statsbury, almost lost. She saves it. McCormick on defense.

She's hard to get around. Moves her feet so quickly. Mills outside on Clunin. Screen from Shreffler. They're going to switch it. Conkel on her. Shreffler inside. Mills with a big block. They got the ball inside the Shreffler. He thought maybe they had a mismatch.

But it wasn't so. No, Mills had the block. It because of the shot clock. Violation. Because no, never touched the rim. Maybe he'll still basketball. That you are. A second shot clock violation of this game.

And we see the press again from our slide. McDonald's throwing it into McCormick. Trying to get a trap situation. Let's see if the Chargers can pass out of it. So far, so good. Back to McDonald. Nice job. Got it across half court.

Number one, Peyton Adkins checked into the game for the first time. McCormick has it outside. Ball now in the hands of Atkins. Down to McDonald. McDonald takes a quick three and gets it to go. Another three-pointer for the Chargers. Once again, Hillstone still shooting lights out. Even in their little bit of offensive and defensive

and defensive struggles, shooting has not been a problem for them all day. Yeah, they've been more patient on offense, but still shooting the ball very well. Chargers lead down 70 to 45 with a minute left in this third period. Ball knocked out of bounds. It'll stay with Ersline. I believe it was Kenna McCormick, getting a piece of it.

Minch will throw it in for the arrows. Gets it into Menser. over to Shreffler Shreffler looking inside can't do it now Madison Kloonan now gets it in to stop inside no good and a late foul late foul called on the shot of McDonald's she can't believe it but

it will be Riley stopped shooting two free throws for the arrows yeah it was a really really late foul call there kind of after she had passed and after the ball had already got out of there I thought that she had the clean block but prep has a better angle than I do as a player you always wonder if they wait

to see if the basket was made to call a foul. Sometimes if they make that shot they won't call a foul, but as soon as the referee sees that they miss it, they call a foul. At least as a player, that's what you think. When it's going against you. Definitely, definitely a consideration in their head based on how late that foul foul was. Riley stopped knocks down both the free throws.

And we have a stoppage here from the officials. Not sure what it's about. No, they're talking it over. They're going to discuss something. And they're leaving the third official out of it. Poor guy. Look at him. Now, he's coming over.

why didn't I get an invitation? Nope, now he's going to stop. I don't think anybody knows what this is about. We're talking it over at the table. Is there an issue with the clock, perhaps? I don't really know. I was thinking numbers.

It's all speculation right now. We're just guessing over here. We don't know. They don't know. I don't even think the players or the coaches know. Yeah, game clock problems. It was a clock issue. A little discrepancy between the shot and game clock.

They will... Well, they're going to reset it. So they took a couple seconds off the shot clock. Okay, so now it's 54 seconds left with 27 seconds on the shot clock. Bad we got that figured out. McDonald has it. Top of the key for the chargers. Over to McCormick.

McDonald gets free off a screen, drives right hand. bounce pass inside to Adkins he was cutting she loses it stop has it now ursline going the other way she drives right at the defender pass to the corner it's menser menser back to stop inside to shreffler shrefler out to minch for three short we've seen her miss that three point shot short a few times from that spot and the ball rolls out of bounds possession hillsdale

that's what she's looks to do though every single time that she's gotten that ball shoot that same exact three-pointer. As stop, bats the ball away as it was inbounded. No harm, no foul, really. It'll stay with the Chargers. McDonald has it. Definitely looking to trap.

One quarter of play left in Hillsdale Women Charger Basketball. Chargers lead 70 to 47 over the Ursuline arrows. It's going to take something to make this a game here in the last 10 minutes. Yeah, 23-point deficit. It looked there like Ursuline was going to be able to get themselves back in the game for a real quick second. But Hillsdale, I mean, they remain down six points pretty much that entire third quarter.

Yep. First line, good start to the third quarter, but Hillsdale able to weather the storm and just sort of ride it out and not lose any ground. McDonald has it for the Chargers. First possession of this fourth quarter, McCormick now on the wing. Back up to Conkel. Over to Petrusick. Petritsick trying to set something up. Gets to the McDonald's top of the key.

Ten seconds left on the shot clock. Post-speed to Petritsik. Pass to McDonald in the corner, up to McCormick. She's got to put it up. Petrusick puts it up from the corner. No good. Rebound, Earth's line. So they use the whole shot clock, but not able to get any points there.

It's still good, though, using the whole shot clock. It's not quite a time that you still want to be really aggressive as you're Hillsdale. But on possessions that you can use the whole shot clock, those are still good possessions. Just go ahead and use you. Yep. Don't force anything. Stop has it up top. Now over to Shreffler.

Statsbury. drives left side finds minch in the corner for three who rolls out almost looked good there for a second chargers rebound it will be macdonald bringing it up yeah that's all minch has done pretty much all games she just wants to shoot that that three point ball as mills tries a three of her own and gets it to go nice shot from sidney mills who's quietly having an excellent game as mcdonald gets a steal they tried a little behind the back moving. McDonald's stole the ball,

bounce pass up to Concoe in transition, and it's good. Great play there from Warren McDonald. That's a true point guard kind of play. Yeah, very under control, and then a great bounce pass, right past the defender to find Ashley Conkall who made the kind of tough basket,

one of those where you're running right under the basket and just got to get the shot up, so it was a good shot there by Ashley Conkla as well. Stop has it outside, trying to get to the paint, kicks it out to Mench. Now to, to Clunin.

Clunin over to Statsbury in the corner. She drives in the paint hard and gets the layup to go. This little scoop shot layup. McCormick has it for the charges in the inbound. On March 9 to 12, 1966, Sergeant First Class Benny G. Adkins's camp was attacked early in the morning. Adkins manned a mortar position to defend the camp. Great take there by Sydney Mills. not only to get her defender off the jibble, but then to take the little jab step when she ticked up the ball inside the paint and then get the open jumper. She's just such a skilled player. I don't think there's any weakness really in her game. She just does everything at a high level.

There's a foul on Maddie Green down on this end, going to be a shooting foul. Nothing? I got nothing. Okay. As, Halbine, Patch, and Mills will check out for the last time here at Don Tibbitts Potter Arena. Emotional moment.

Hugs all around and big smiles. It's always nice to have these moments with a 32-point lead and a middle left in the game. That's how you want to send players out. Yeah, and some of these players came in into a system that they weren't winning a lot of games, winning maybe one, two games a year, and now that they've turned it into a consistent playoff team. So they've really turned this program around the last couple of years. He'll still has.

they called it so they called a foul but i think that the foul was on the ground yeah she she tried to get the shot off because she knew that the foul was they won't give it the shot attempt you see that the NBA now all the time guys try to throw up the ball and I was sure you shooting, I was shooting. I was like, well, you were at half court. I don't know if I buy it. Atkins had it in the corner, step back three. No good, long rebound. She tries to save it herself, but unfortunately

stepped out of bounds. So the Ursuline ball, 20 seconds left. Hillsdale leads it, 85 to 56. Yeah, Adkins is a player that as soon as she lets go the ball, she's already going for the rebound. Yeah. Very aggressive. Good to follow on her shot there.

Sometimes you shoot a shot that you know is not going in, and that's why you follow your shot so fast. It may have in that case. I know that feeling. I know that feeling all too well. As we're two, one second left, final buzzer, shot goes up. No good. Picture perfect end of the season for the Chargers is the kind of game that you want going into tournament play. As they win this one, 85 to 56.

Lauren McDonald with 14, and then 200 players in double digits are Ashley Conkall. And Caitlin's playing with 10, and then Annalise Peter Zick with 7. Ashley Concoe gets five, Halbine gets four, and Rulman gets four as well.
