Hello, I'm Ariel McDowell here with a word to the wise.
I recently learned that the human brain burns around 300 to 500 calories a day.
And while I always knew the brain is one of our most important organs, this gave me new perspective.
Because I thought about what exactly is burning the calories?
Well, calories are being burned because the brain is busy creating new neural pathways and using old ones,
the same way that exercise burns calories by training your muscles.
And the way you expend this energy has a radical impact on how healthy you.
your brain is? How would you feel if you spent hours a day training your leg muscles to the point of
exhaustion, but in such a way that you acquired a crippling limp? That's essentially what we do
to our brains when we expend loads of energy with online activities that require no attention
span. It's exhausting for the brain and a lot of hard work, but it only takes you backwards.
Remember, your brain needs healthy habits as much as your body does. This has been a word to the
