Hello, I'm Ariel McDowell here with another word to the wise.
So let's talk school dress codes.
We all know freedom is infinitely preferable to a bunch of restrictions, but let me play
Delva's advocate for a second.
Any type of law only needs to step in when self-regulation fails, and unfortunately,
there will always be those who dress in appropriately for school.
Because this is the case administrations have dress codes.
But here's the issue.
Dress codes are not adaptive.
A dress code can't discern people's intentions or make exceptions when it is necessary.
For instance, shoulders aren't necessary.
inappropriate, but the rules stepped in when self-regulation failed.
Here's my argument.
School administration shouldn't be control freaks waiting for a student to mess up on a
technicality.
They should operate within the spirit of the law.
And students shouldn't push the limits for the sake of rebellion.
Don't go looking for a problem whether you're the student or the teacher.
Apply discernment, not blind rule following, or anarchist lawlessness.
