Starting point is 00:07:02 next and this man was clapping for his son. You got to have some benditure. You hear the high-pitched thing that comes with it? We got to stop clapping. Oh, yeah, okay. We got to stop clapping. Sorry, sorry, sorry. But you have to have some benditure in your phalanges. There has to be curvature.
Starting point is 00:07:21 Not a full cup. You're not drinking, but it's just a good clap to me. The top of your finger meets the bottom knuckle digit right there. And you just, we're doing the anatomy of claps. Jesus. This podcast is off to a great start. All right. It's been so long since you've been a couple of weeks, maybe a couple of weeks cause cam back though, you know, back in the building. So we're gonna have a great one. It's going to be a banger. So yeah, a couple weeks cause cam back though you know back in the building so we're gonna have a great one it's gonna be a banger so yeah a couple weeks um we did dream con which was amazing jeez we're gonna talk about let's do let's do a little dream con recap about that
Starting point is 00:07:55 how about how about how does it go again how about that the meme like old the old meme which one how about that or what or catch me outside how about that yeah catch me outside how about that yeah okay you know she made like never mind yeah millions anyway um insane sick yeah um anyway we went to dream con this last weekend and it was a great weekend great experience we have very tiring about very tiring it was but worth it very worth it yep very worth and we filmed the vlog that nobody watched that's unfortunate but yeah not that nobody watched it but i it didn't get the reception that i i thought it was going to get because you know we spent so much time he's hurt so um but if you're watching this go over there and comment on it or something or just have it out in the background take a shower just you can mute
Starting point is 00:08:41 it if you'd like it was so good it was some of my favorite creators and it was like a dream to like collaborate some of those anyway let's talk about dream con we met so many fans of the podcast awesome and it can't how did you feel about that because you know we've had the one-offs where like we're together and people say what's up but like like you're in a mall or something and someone just pulls up on you and they're like hey we love but like going there to an actual place of a lot of people all in their same environment like it was all like anime stuff and just lovers of content creators and fans and just people hanging out like it was really cool like like to be somewhere where you knew that's what you were getting into and it was really fun to hang out and meet a lot of you face to face
Starting point is 00:09:27 And take pictures tell stories Just laugh, you know gets know where you're from stuff like that There's a lot of like obviously was in Dallas. So there's a lot of locals but it was like there's people from Florida There's more people from Florida. There's people from What are you looking at? Jeez Florida what are you looking at geez florida uh oklahoma there was i think from chicago across the country yeah it was dope it was awesome we had we had so many cool fan interactions and like so at this point i'm used to like fans coming up and i love it and so it's like that that shock of it is has kind of gone away
Starting point is 00:10:05 like it the expect the love for it is still there but the shock of it yeah the shock of it is gone like at first it was like oh like i can't believe people watch it but now i kind of know the magnitude of the show but there the shock of it came back because everywhere we turned a lot we were stopped more than expected it was unbelievable and i think like i know a lot of content creators say this about their fans but our fans are so damn cool because it's like we're a family because they know so much about us because the storytelling and how like people can relate to it exactly like other like other content creators even if it is of bigger statures of course it's just like hey oh my goodness such a fan but it's like y'all were pulling up to us, like Vienna sausage, really?
Starting point is 00:10:48 Yeah. It's like right into a, and then we'll hit you with the, like, he's like, yeah, I almost threw up. And I'm like, exactly. Tell him it's not that bad. And like, and, uh, suggestions for like, what else for him to try? Just, you know, just bounce the stories back and like just relating. So it's, it was really cool
Starting point is 00:11:05 like i remember those dudes we met outside that were from florida florida and we talked about basket it was like we knew them yeah we just sat there like you know dapped up for a second and then just talked and like it was it was cool it was awesome it was just really uh like personable yeah it was great and i think the one that really shocked me because we have like a majority male audience it's like i think it's like 85% male which shot to the dogs, you know That probably if that caused a car crash i am i i am sorry if that blew a speaker if that blew a speaker it might have been time for a new stereo system regardless but i do apologize for that i saw him attempt it i knew i could best him at it so i just had to
Starting point is 00:12:00 i'll i'll let him recover per usual but uh the group of so what he was saying there's a there's a group there's a group of women in the hallway that stopped us toward the end of the day day two and it was like we're about to leave yeah it was like four uh girls shout out to y'all and and okay and okay, first thing. And the first, uh, female came up to us and was like, Hey, I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 00:12:29 Can we, don't be sorry. Like why? That's why we're there. Like, even if it, even if it was in target or the mall or something, it's like,
Starting point is 00:12:36 bro, we are just, just like you. Yeah. And we're so grateful for you. Yeah. Like, it's awesome.
Starting point is 00:12:41 We love meeting y'all face to face. Like, it's not like a, I appreciate this pic. Like, no, it's always like, bro, hell yeah, let's awesome we love meeting y'all face to face like it's not like a i appreciate this pic like no it's always like bro heck hell yeah let's take this picture like and let's talk like yeah like like where are you from what do you do how long you've been watching it thank you for the love like all that like it's it's fun so shout out to them yeah um also before we wrap up this dream con wrap up um this I mean, this isn't even about DreamCon. I want to dedicate this episode to a fan, actually. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:08 Because her name is Alexis Martin. She's dope. So, basically, this is a quick story. I went on live, and I was talking about the weekend, and I'm a huge weekend fan. Like, unbelievable. Like, Saturdays and Sundays. Like, he enjoys sleeping in. The singer. The in. The singer.
Starting point is 00:13:25 The artist. Yeah, he's great. He's like one of my favorite artists ever. And I was charged the same birthday. February 16th. And we were talking about the weekend on the live stream. I was playing his music in the background or whatever. And I was just saying he has a concert that I can't go to just because I'm broke.
Starting point is 00:13:42 And the tickets are expensive and just whatever. I couldn't go. And I said, it's like my bucket list. Him and Drake are the only two people I haven't seen yet just because I'm broke and the tickets are expensive and just whatever I couldn't I couldn't go and I said it's like my bucket list him and Drake are the only two people I haven't seen yet I've seen everybody him and Drake and so I was just talking about it didn't really pay much attention to it got off alive went to bed I woke up the next morning and I checked my requested dms because I like to talk to the fans or whatever and just see what's up so I checked my requested dms I saw Alexis in there and I opened it and it was like an attachment, like an image. And it was QR codes.
Starting point is 00:14:07 I was like, what the hell is this? And then I looked more and she said, here are two tickets to the weekend's concert in Dallas. I was like, what are you saying to me right now? And I, I, I just,
Starting point is 00:14:17 I'm so, I called Cam and I was just like, bro, like this is the craziest thing ever. Like I, I damn near cried. It's the, I called my family and everything. So shout, this is the craziest thing ever. Like, I damn near cried. I called my family and everything.
Starting point is 00:14:28 So shout out to Alexis. I love you. You're the GOAT. And this podcast is dedicated to you. Yeah. That was awesome. But that's DreamCon, man. So shout out to everybody that we met at DreamCon.
Starting point is 00:14:40 I love you all. Shout out to all the fans watching this. If haven't met yet we will one day and should we tell them about the unbelievable event that happened 10 minutes into the entire oh shit the craziest thing happened to cam as soon as we walked into dream car like 10 minutes 10 minutes within okay so we pull up right get there eight o'clock in the morning literally we're about to be here for 12 hours eight to eight yeah like that it's gonna be a long day so and i wasn't at dream con last year so this is my first time like filming him for a vlog type setup so you know we we know what shots we're looking for what things we have to tick off the list like obligations like stuff
Starting point is 00:15:23 like that but also like just for fan interactions and like how he envisioned the vlog going like we already knew what we had to do so we get there at eight you know we're inside uh before like like general public gets to go in yeah so the staff is like taking us back showing us the green room showing us where we can hang out stuff like that where the food all that is right so probably like 20 minutes before the doors are about to open uh we both look at each other without being too gross you know like yo you gotta use the bathroom because i do so he's like good thought yeah let's do that people so he's like all right backstage because we're already like we're in the tunnels and So he's like, all right, backstage. Because we're already back in the tunnels and stuff.
Starting point is 00:16:05 He's like, all right, back here, there's two private bathrooms. I'm like, even better. There's no shot. No one. Even better. So we go. And there's these two solo. One person.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Right by each other. Right by each other. Adjacent. A little weird, but not. No. Adjacent is. Across. So what is it?
Starting point is 00:16:22 Parallel? Parallel is like. Across. Next to. How about that? We don't need vocab just next to right next to each other separated by a wall bam separated by maybe two feet of wall drywall so i'm just kidding but uh two solo bathrooms right he goes in his i go in mine shut the the doors, lock them, use the bathroom, right? If you don't do this, I'll pray for you. But in any public bathroom ever, you, no matter how clean the seat looks, you should wipe it down.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Then you should protect it. You should nest it. Nest it. Like a good old hot. Toilet paper, nest it. Bare cheeks on porcelain. Ooh, that's nasty. You should go on Fear Factor and eat crickets if you do that. uh oh that's nasty porcelain it's oh oh you should go on fear factor and eat crickets if you do that like that's nasty nest your toilet so in the process get a good wipe toss it in get more to nest it yeah right so i'm getting ready if you couldn't tell by this point i'm sitting down meaning number two
Starting point is 00:17:22 is is is the goal i'm going for a number two, right? I Kid you not I Am sitting in it's the worst possible timing like right before like as you're taking off Your shorts or pants on for female audience Dre whatever it might be, right? It's that pinpoint time of vulnerability where you are like... I mean, you're like three-fourths to a 90-degree squat. I mean, you are just at the peak.
Starting point is 00:18:02 I'm about to touch your neck. You're at your peak vulnerability right now. Unbelievably vulnerable. Ready ready i kid you not door opens it no knock no hey anybody in nothing door opens right up how late 50s early 60s a worker it just opens up and goes oh hold on okay hold on now and i was like hey whoa whoa i'm like yeah i'm in here yeah like there's it's me okay so that's already you get what happened right at old ultimate vulnerability the worst possible time she can walk in. She walks in, right? She immediately leaves. My poop is gone at this point. It is, I don't even have the need to do it anymore.
Starting point is 00:18:51 Like, I can't. If it was you have to go or something bad is going to happen, that bad thing is going to have to happen. There's no way I can sit down and continue at this point. So, as she's leaving, like I'm talking full, full, at least two thirds of her existence was inside my bathroom with me. The door was locked, right? As she's leaving, she has the nerve, nerve to utter, shouldn't you always lock the door? And I said, I was so baffled. I couldn't speak. I physically words couldn't leave. So I immediately, yep. That's it for me. Yep. Okay. I'm yanking.
Starting point is 00:19:37 I'm literally, I'm frustrated. I'm yanking the paper towels down. Like I'm get me out of here, throw it away. I opened the the door she's still camped outside there because she still has to use the bathroom right as I'm leaving and Peyton hears this because remember it's like two feet so he probably heard this all I heard all I heard because my I knew my lock was not working and there was a trash can and so I was trying to like move this big trash can to block the door and all I heard was cam go oh yeah i was like oh hey and immediately goes shouldn't you always lock the door so as i leave she says that again like we're face to face now i know who the culprit is and she looks at me and goes shouldn't you
Starting point is 00:20:21 always lock your door when you go to the bathroom i go if the door is closed shouldn't you always knock and she goes well it wasn't locked knock on it anyway like knock on the door if a bathroom if a stall is the door if it's shut you knock if it's a door you knock you don't just try your luck because then you might win a silly prize if you try your luck. And she just, it's like, she couldn't care less. And she just goes, all right, well, thank you now. And she goes in there to spin back like a couple hours later. I have to use the bathroom again. I go in there and I'm sitting there trying to MacGyver this lock and figure out, am I in the wrong? Was she in the wrong?
Starting point is 00:21:05 Did I lock this door? Did I not? And it's one of those like Fort Knox bank security door. You got to pick it up, shove it in, lock it all at the same time to get it to lock. But the worst part is 10 minutes in. Since we had like the access we did, we were always backstage to get there. We didn't go through like the hallways. So we saw this woman. Like hour. hour hour i'd say every like 20 minutes it was so awkward just eye contact
Starting point is 00:21:31 every 20 minutes i'm like like every time she's like she's just like she's just looking at me i'm like oh shit yeah so but outside of that the rest of dream con was great it was great the chicken wrap phenomenal uh it was great time it was awesome can't wait for next year um shit that was funny i have an embarrassing fan story too that you were there yours wasn't a fan yours was a stranger yeah mine was a fan uh we went to the mall together me and cam and mine was a breaker of ethics and codes knock on a door that's the last i'll say but go me and cam went to this footlocker inside of the mall and the reason i wanted to go in this footlocker not because i buy clothes not because i buy shoes you know me i dress the same every day except for today i look good um but i went into this footlocker because i was at this same mall
Starting point is 00:22:24 the day before and i saw a woman in there that worked there and she was beautiful shout out to you um and i wanted to show camera because i was like i think this is my wife like i think i love her i i fall in love quick and so i was like i think i love this woman and i wanted oh i hope she's here and i want to show you her and you can help me to speak to her. We walk into the footlocker and as soon as we walk in, one of the other workers there, his name is CJ. Shout out to CJ. Shout out to CJ.
Starting point is 00:22:52 He was a fan of the show and he was like, Peyton, Cam. And we talked to him for a minute. And CJ is a collegiate wrestler. He's huge. Heavyweight division. Stands at about 6'4". 6'4". Yeah. Got about 250 on his frame big dude so
Starting point is 00:23:07 it wasn't like a like a a poke behind the corner hey can't it was like hey cam hey cam hayden what's up i was like oh i was like how's it going like yeah so shout out to cj and so he was dope but the thing with me is i saw cj the fan i saw the love of my life at the same time she was working that day i was like oh no things are happening all at once yeah you know me if too much is happening commenced oh instant bullets of sweat out of my forehead out of the pit the back region i'm wet i'm wet at this point just swamp lands so i'm starting to shake a little bit i get shaky hands when i'm anxious i stutter a little bit i don't know what's going on so we we talked to cj for a little bit we talked about the videos we talked about his his wrestling dope yeah
Starting point is 00:23:52 now my focus is trying to talk to this woman i want to get the courage to go up to her and just let her know that i am in love with her and i would like to court her on a date and so me and cam are going through the mall looking at different shoes looking at different clothes pretending like we're looking and the whole time cam's coaching me in the ear store not the mall the store excuse me in that store in that store we're going through the shoes and and the clothes and can't we're we're faking it we're not really looking anything but cam's coaching me trying to get me to go talk to this woman kim you're saying like bro just do it like just go like we're thinking the motto of me is like what's like the worst is no that's gonna hurt me for weeks olivia shout out to you my love his wife hates that i will go to a restaurant like hey
Starting point is 00:24:36 you got any deals but she's like she's like oh my god i don't know why i bring him anyway and i'm like like what they're we're either gonna get a deal that we didn't know of or they're gonna say no we don't sorry what would you like and i go oh that's completely fine we're gonna have this that and the third she thinks it's i'm like i'm like do you have a spare coin or can i eat for free like no it's like you can have new rations yeah it's like i'm just there's no harm in asking so i pretty much was just trying to you know rub that off on p i'm like bro there's no like yeah like you you got it just go for it so at this point we were looking for different strategies so we came up with a strategy of hey pay and ask her if they have this pants in your size or which pant is better he actually did want to purchase these pants yeah it's not okay we were
Starting point is 00:25:20 looking around at stuff yes talking but there was two things they saw the previous day they actually wanted to purchase and he was asking my opinion on it so you know light bulb we're like oh there you go boom because it was two pants one was a you know two different colors same pant though and i'm like there you go that's an easy in i'm like you walk up be like hey from uh just like a female's perspective which do you like better yeah which do you think which was a great play and i was going to look better and then boom conversation starts you're good and i was going with it but before i went up to her and asked her there was a great play, and I was going with it. Which you think I would look better in. And then, boom, conversation starts. You're good. And I was going with it. But before I went up to her and asked her, there was a pair of shoes that I liked that were on this. That was the second item that he liked.
Starting point is 00:25:50 He was like, hey, these are the ones I saw the other day. So it was like. On a display rack. Yeah. You know how shoes are always right next to each other? So in Foot Locker, it was like a cube in the middle of the wall with one thing holding it. It was like a magnet on the wall. So Peyton's like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:07 He goes, so Peyton's like, yeah, this is the shoe. And the whole, like the shoe falls on the ground, knocks another shoe off. The magnet thing slipped. It's metal. It's like a dense metal, like it is heavy. It like snaps off. Boom, boom, bang.
Starting point is 00:26:22 Like it is loud. Everybody is going like this. And Peyton's of course hitting the oh god oh he's trying to pick everything up and cj being the great fan he is he knows i'm anxious he runs over to us and he's like i had to come over and save you because i know payne's about to get anxious he literally came up because so we were talking cj's like oh yeah bro i've been watching you know i've been watching stuff for a while. Yeah. I'm like, oh, that's dope. And as soon as he saw that happen, he literally came over to us and immediately like gave him relief.
Starting point is 00:26:50 He was like, Hey, don't worry, bro. It's a magnet. I got you. You know, it just, it falls all the time.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Happens to everybody. Great guy. Yeah. He goes, he goes, yeah, I literally told the other woman, she's going to have to give me a second.
Starting point is 00:26:59 I got to go help you. Cause I knew you were about to have a breakdown if I didn't come over. And we just started dying, laughing to know, like And we just started dying laughing to know someone we just met, a fan, knows how I am. He is in public. Moral of the story,
Starting point is 00:27:12 that took every bit of confidence that I was working up that whole time and I didn't ask her for her number or anything. But CJ, if you're watching this, I know you're probably going to show this to your coworkers. So, hey. Sorry about that.
Starting point is 00:27:24 Shout out to CJ. Shout out to CJ. We have the best fans of the world yeah i love them to death um let's we haven't even gotten into any really topics yet yeah we have some topics for this episode uh this is one that i'm actually really interested in cam when did you realize you were getting old because i realized i was getting old when i started to be concerned about germs in my everyday life like as a kid that okay i completely get that but i was kind of that as a kid due to my brother so he's a doctor i'm out of that one i have another one that kind of okay that's different because because as a kid you're never concerned about germs you're touching things you're putting your mouth on what are you drinking
Starting point is 00:28:07 exactly grab it like oh yeah hand sanitizer is never is never in your arsenal as a child now hand sanitizer is never where I'm not exactly I said it right but I realize it never where I'm not okay take the square root of never where I'm not if you carry this to cross multiply it never where I'm not. Okay, take the square root of never where I'm not. If you cross multiply it, never where I'm not. Minus a three. Meaning it's not going to be where I'm not. If you reverse that, me and hand sanitizer, I wanted one.
Starting point is 00:28:39 But the day I realized I matured when everything clicked and I was starting to be concerned about germs is when I went to a bowling alley. I was on a bowling alley with a date. And, you know, there's like these little chairs and tables outside of the bowling alley so you can watch your partner go. You can sit and rest, see if they hit a strike or a spare. Don't know about resting. You shouldn't be, you shouldn't be, you shouldn't need much rest for bowling.
Starting point is 00:28:59 Sitting with the food and admiring your partner or bowling friends, sure. You shouldn't be, hey, it's your turn, John. friends sure you shouldn't be hey it's it's your turn john no you shouldn't be resting you shouldn't be yeah but go but so at this table you you can order food drinks yes i order food because as a kid that's what i always do get the chili cheese fries that's a hand food you put it into your mouth i'm more of a wings with the celery guy at a bowling alley that's fine we're all different yeah i'm right though so i would as a kid i would always as a as a kid i would always order the chili cheese fries at the bowling alley that was my staple so as an adult as i went back with my date i was like carrying the staples exactly i was like oh i'm gonna order these chili cheese fries it's a good
Starting point is 00:29:40 hand food while you're bowling they bring the chili chili cheese fries out, and I'm like, okay, I'm going to go bowl real quick. Enjoy these chili cheese fries. Chili cheese fries. I don't put my fingers in the holes when I bowl because it makes me nervous that they're going to go with the bowling ball, so I don't do it. So I grip the ball with my palm. That's actually true. I grip the ball and just, you know what I'm saying? So I go up to the bowling alley.
Starting point is 00:30:02 I go up to the lane, as they say. I get my ball. I put my whole palm on the ball. Roll it. Don't know how I did saying? So I go up to the bowling alley. I go up to the lane, as they say. I get my ball. I put my whole palm on the ball. Roll it. Don't know how I did. Doesn't matter. Probably bad. I got you locked in, hitting about three down.
Starting point is 00:30:13 Next time you go for all seven, you gutter. You finish with three. If I could, I'd put the bumpers if everybody wouldn't laugh at me. We're not here for competition. We're here for fun. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So as I roll the ball, I'm i'm like oh now i get to go back and enjoy my chili cheese fries like i did as a kid with my lovely date waiting for me i walk back
Starting point is 00:30:30 to where my chili cheese fries and date are i sit down and i'm about to go grab a chili cheese fry then i remember fucking yuck you know what i mean like i just had this ball that was on the ground other humans have touched thousands of strangers on the ground in the little conveyor belt oh and now and then i'm realizing like to grub it with not only am i gonna have potato fry chili little cheese in my mouth i'm also gonna have excess germs from about 30 000 strangers that have been in this bowling alley disgusting didn't even touch the chili cheese fries i'm like am i an adult now like what are we doing have i changed what's what is inside of me that caused that the second thing that and we're back the second thing that made me realize like oh damn i'm an adult it's like public pools i'm like i would never go into a public pool, not only because I can't swim, but it is disgusting.
Starting point is 00:31:26 A public pool. Have you ever thought about what's inside of that public pool swimming around? Yeah. There might be some urination, some perturbation. You don't know what's inside of there. There's children. Last time I went to Hurricane Harbor, someone pooped in the wave pool. We had to be evacuated.
Starting point is 00:31:42 Imagine. Just in a float and you just see fecal matter go by you. No, I'd probably fight someone. If I saw poop next to me in a body of water, I'd be terrified. But, I mean they clean it, they dump all the chlorine and salt and they section it off, scoop it out as you would. Yeah, but you have infants to old men that don't have any other sensory motor skills like you know that their body excretion is not up to them at that point this is fun and they're just like just floating around it's an ending coming out i remember
Starting point is 00:32:14 because i remember as a kid i was at a public pool by my house and there was just a bloody band-aid just floating at the bottom and it didn't bother me at all i was like oh somebody's band-aid fell up if i saw that now you would have to call the ambalam for me i would not i would need psychiatric help if i saw someone's used band-aid where my foot is and imagine have you seen the bottom of people's feets before nasty and they're just scrubbing around you've seen mine oh i've seen your toe oh jesus public pools are disgusting bowling alleys are disgusting you'll catch me in a bowling alley bowling and in a pool swimming But I won't go in the park go to a bowling alley if I've hit good old hand Santa Thai Yeah, so for me when I knew I was old was when I couldn't talk shit in video games anymore
Starting point is 00:32:55 I just didn't have it like I couldn't I couldn't I couldn't keep up with the times What do you mean like I'd kill someone right and then they'd come back and kill me be like yeah you know they'd say talk your shit just some fire response and i'd literally be like bro like all right calm down like i couldn't talk i could not defend myself over the microphone on a public platform video game anymore you too gauge you, well, you too then. Yeah, I was just like, all right, cool. Like, you got me. And they're sitting there just saying, you would think they have like a book right there of just, of responses.
Starting point is 00:33:32 And I'm just like, I'm like, ah, I gotta be getting old. I gotta, I mean, I might just be fading away. Like, I can't do this anymore. I just can't. Like, in basketball, that's forever always gonna be a thing. I always just hoop silently but if someone wants to start talking theirs i will pop it right back with you but yeah video games i'm out of that anymore if i'm getting pooped on i just it's just not my day do you
Starting point is 00:33:57 remember how toxic like modern warfare lobby used to be oh yeah it's it was so bad i don't even want to remember those days it was so bad very bad i used to just get on the game shout out to you one day she came in his mom and i was yeah i was going just full-blown psychopath sixth grade grinding this game with all my friends in the lobby hyping me up just screaming obscenities just like oh it was it was bad and she got very mad at me so because basically i had like had the turtle beaches on right couldn't hear the garage open normally I can hear the garage Didn't know I thought I'm you know I think I'm still by myself
Starting point is 00:34:34 I'm sitting there saying what I want what I shouldn't be saying she walks in and just gets all of it like yeah There's no lie that could save me and I was just like oh sorry mom yeah it was bad but yeah that's I mean when I couldn't defend myself over microphone that's when I realized I was like damn that just reminded me can I bring this up and it's actually something that you don't hurt my feelings often but there's something you've done in the past that has hurt my feelings and I've told the live stream about it on TikTok and I'm gonna say it to your face right now okay you're you're a bad person for this okay all right get to it so there was a time when our whole friend group we had a group message and y'all would be on the game together and y'all be like let's get on the game let's all get on the
Starting point is 00:35:16 game you suck the moral of the story you're not good at them but you would lie to me and you would say it's full i'm like yeah hey bro we're it's it's full like the lobby's full uh maybe tomorrow and then i would get on and it'd be like three people it's like four or six yeah two yeah okay and i'd be like hey you got to do what you got to do when you don't want to play with who you don't want to play with so sorry and then when we when you would let me you'd like hey can we play fortnite so we can be in your lobby oh yeah we can play a bunch of right when they started uh skill-based matchmaking i'm like ap you should get on you should hey not only should you get on you should be our leader you should host my dumb ass like yes finally they finally come they believe
Starting point is 00:36:04 in me the whole time we're sitting there like, oh, my God. This is just easy, dude. And they need it. Like, say we were like a platoon of people were coming. They would always have me go on the front lines. They're like, Peyton, go. You tell me how many you can get. You should go scout ahead.
Starting point is 00:36:14 It's honestly like that's the best job. No. Yeah. I was horrible. I was so bad at games. Yeah, it's bad. Damn. That kind of hurt my feelings now.
Starting point is 00:36:24 It's all right. My energy is out. I need some water. Can you talk to them for a second while I get this water? Let's do it. Let's see what's bad. Damn. That kind of hurt my feelings now. It's all right. My energy is down. I need some water. Can you talk to them for a second while I get this water? Let's do it. Let's see what's next. What is our next topic? Oof.
Starting point is 00:36:34 That is a story and a half from your boy Peyton. Why is his straw so long? So that's because it's a large cup. He asked why the straw is so long. It's a large cup. Why else would it be? Honestly, though, have you ever been at a restaurant and they give you a straw that you could almost poke your eye out with it and it's like, what are you doing to me? No.
Starting point is 00:36:55 You know what I hate is paper straws. Burn them. Oh, yeah. I don't care. I don't care. Come at me if you want. The turtles. Ew.
Starting point is 00:37:03 There's people that fly private jets everywhere. Yeah, I'm all for saving everything in the earth, but it's like. I don't want my straw to melt in my drink. Yeah, I don't. Yeah. I don't want to be able to like feel the goo of a straw. It's so nasty. They suck.
Starting point is 00:37:18 They're not. They suck. They're not ideal at all, to say the least. I have a story time. Yeah, next one's you. Jesus. I actually don't think what i don't think i've been filled in on this so no you haven't okay i know i always say i had the craziest day
Starting point is 00:37:32 ever but i swear the other day i had the craziest day ever bro it was it was bad so just for a little reference i wear one a day contacts which means after every night i just take them out throw them away never to be seen again my name is peyton i'm bougie i got the one a day no i just don't so i don't have to put them in the little case holder put the liquid in them close them and then preserve them overnight and put them back in i don't do that i have the one a day so take them out throw them away put a new case in you know what i mean yes one a day contacts is what i do i had a busy i had a busy i had a busy week so I forgot to order my new contacts so I was down to my last pair that was in my eyes I was like oh no I'm gonna have to pull out this little case preserver put the
Starting point is 00:38:11 liquid and save them overnight I have emergency cases so I had it left over I was like okay I'll be good at least I'll have contacts to see tomorrow at the end of the night I go to my bathroom I pull out my case open up the case put my contacts into the case put the end of the night, I go to my bathroom. I pull out my case, open up the case, put my contacts into the case, put the liquid into the case, close it up to be preserved for tomorrow. I'm like, okay, now it's time for me to go to sleep. These are going to be soaking in this liquid all night. I'll be good to go. I'll have 20-20 vision in the morning. Good for me.
Starting point is 00:38:38 I go to bed, right? I wake up the next morning. I'm like, oh, time for me to put these contacts in. Let's see how they held up overnight. They were sitting in this liquid all night. I open up the next morning I'm like oh time for me to put these contacts in let's see how they held up overnight they were sick and sitting in this liquid all night I open up the case I'm looking at the case and I'm like it's a little extra foamy than I would think it would be it's like a little extra bubbles on maybe it's because it's a new liquid I just put in there like maybe because I just bought this liquid I'm like maybe it's because I never use this you know what I mean so I'm like man it's just nothing that means it's going to be extra good for my eyeballs it's
Starting point is 00:39:04 really been soaking exactly I take the contact put it into my eye take the other contact put into the other eye i blink as soon as i blink you would have thought satan himself sat down in my eyelids it was the worst burn i have ever felt in my life not only was it burning just it was like film went over my eyes i was in my bathroom at nine in the morning like it was like the worst pain i've ever felt i was trying to blink but every time i blinked it was just getting worse like why let me tell you well before that i was trying to save it like i was like i was burned i was looking like how do i fix this burn that's in my eye i don't know what's going on why are my eyes burning so bad fail safe mechanism
Starting point is 00:39:48 when he when something's wrong he just reaches he's like like that's my go-to is just reach for any object but then I remembered I went to the doctor last month because I scratched my cornea so they gave me these medicated eye drops and I remember whenever I took these medicated eye drops it was like an angel was inside of my eyes it was like it was blissful it was euphoric how good my eyes felt so i was like oh my god i have that medicated eye drop let me get that i grabbed the medicated eye drop i put it in it felt like the devil had a child inside of my eyelids it made that pain 30 times worse and at this point i thought i was going blind because I couldn't see anything like you thought I was reaching before I was starting to swing at everything around me it was so bad
Starting point is 00:40:31 the pain I take the contacts out I throw them eyes are still burning and they're swollen my eyes are swollen now it was like I got punched by Mike Tyson in round three. And so I'm like what was that? I looked to see what I used for the spray inside the the eye contact what I used for the solution inside the eye contact case. I used nasal spray for allergies. They were sitting in nasal spray I put that into my eyeballs I don't think understand the pain that I was going through the worst pain it was like I I get pain from putting nasal spray in my nose imagine putting your eye sockets yeah i don't that's it and this day gets so much worse because i would have just ended my day right there i wouldn't have went out unless i was i had to do something i wouldn't have done anything that
Starting point is 00:41:36 was optional so i let my eyes calm down a little bit to where i can get vision again i find another emergency pair of contacts i had in my drawer somewhere I'm like thank god I can actually do something today so I put these new contacts in my eyes are never recovering all day it took like three days for my eyes to recover so I get in my car because I have to go to the studio to shoot something I get into my car I get down the street in my car it sounds like somebody put a blade at the bottom of my car and it's just dragging on the street like it is the loudest like screeching like blade at the bottom of my car and it's just dragging on the street like it is the loudest like screeching like blade sound unit it started to smell like like something was burning in my car i was like what's happening i know this isn't good am i about to implode you
Starting point is 00:42:15 know what i mean like what's is this the end of me yeah so i'm like okay i should probably like go to a car place because this isn't safe to drive. And the car was starting to jump a little bit. Things were getting real bad. The car's been jumping for years. And so as I bus to Yui to go to this auto store, like this car shop down the road, a red light comes up. So I have to brake as one does.
Starting point is 00:42:39 You can't go through those or you're going to prison. You know what I mean? I'm going to this red light. Start to hit the brake brake isn't breaking like isn't supposed i'm like hey hey hey hey hey hey stop i'm like all right all right and it's still breaking but it's just taking a long time for it to stop i'm like oh something bad is happening i still have a mile left till i get to this car shop brake isn't working there's a blade at the bottom of my car I'm smelling smoke what's happening I I end up getting into the uh to the
Starting point is 00:43:11 car shop I get to the car shop and they're like pull it in to garage three at the very end I'm like all right as I'm pulling into garage three I'm braking so I can stop inside garage three brake say hey we're done The brake isn't working. I'm punching this brake inside of this car shop with other people's cars. There's a minivan in front of me. There's somebody's Cadillac, a Honda Civic right there. There's all the mechanics sitting in there working on the car. As I'm braking, I'm like, hey, hey, hey, help.
Starting point is 00:43:40 I rolled down my window. I'm like, car, the car's not stopping. The car's not stopping. And then the lady's like stop stop stop It's like no shit. It's not I'm like I'm like what I mean, you know me instant panic. I don't know what to do noises aren't sounding the same So when they're trying to give me instructions, I can't hear him. It's like I'm underwater different language. It's so bad the the the lady
Starting point is 00:44:12 What what the the lady what what you did that little power up again you said the lady all right go i'm so dehydrated go yeah the lady that waved me into the garage she's like emergency brake emergency brake and i'm like huh huh at this point all the mechanics that are working on cars that are turned away from me pop their heads up like meerkats or like and i'm like oh no not everybody's attention on me i kid you not this whole garage of workers gets in front of my car and manually stops it it is so embarrassing i'm still punching on this damn thing it was bad give it one punch and in and stick with it i was panicking you doing this is like break non-break break non-break break non-break i was just i was in a full panic i didn't know what to do so we eventually got the car to stop they took the keys they're like we're gonna fix this break situation whatever you got
Starting point is 00:45:03 going on i had to walk home two miles. So as I get home, I chill out for the day. They call me like, hey, your car is done. I go get the car. I take it back to my apartment. I park. I'm like, okay, crazy day is over. I have free time.
Starting point is 00:45:16 What do I do? I remember you always tell me, Peyton, you got to work out more. All you do is work. You just stay at the studio. You got to work out more. I was like, I've had a crazy. Go get your daily grind. Exactly. I had a crazy day I need to get out smell the smell see the sights I'm gonna go some stress yeah I was like it's a nice day outside I'm gonna go on a
Starting point is 00:45:33 run I don't go on runs what is that you don't not at all I don't didn't know you're capable I don't even jog I don't do anything athletic one speed and it's slow and so like it's a nice day outside let me go take this run i go out in my neighborhood i start to run within 10 seconds it's like my knees shattered it's the shins feel like a thousand needles start to stab into it was the worst pain ever were you on like a sidewalk yeah yeah i barely even happened what shoes were you wearing some some athletic shoes i had in high school like it's so bad so i'm driving at this point my chest feels like it's in my back it's like a flame inside of my lung it's so bad i'm in pain and it's probably a solid 102 103 at this point in the day it was like it was like it was like evening time so it was starting to cool down okay but i was jogging
Starting point is 00:46:21 still probably like 98 here in the evening it's unbelievable exactly so i was jogging. Still probably like 98 here in the evening. It's unbelievable. Exactly. So I was jogging in pure hell at this point. I'm just jogging down the street. And as I'm jogging down the street, a truck is starting to pull up beside me. The speed limit's like 50. They're going like my speed. They're going like my speed trying to like match up with me. I'm like, okay, if they're going to rob me at this point, I'm vulnerable. I have no energy left in me to fight back.
Starting point is 00:46:43 You can have whatever you want. I'm jogging. They roll down the window. I'm still kind of jogging. I look at them. I'm like, yeah. And they go, hey. I'm like, what's up?
Starting point is 00:46:55 I've seen your podcast before. I can't even utter the words to say thank you. I'm like, thank you. They go, yeah, I don't like it. Imagine. like thank you they go yeah i don't like it imagine oh my god dude oh i would have i'm like why like why are you why do you feel the need to share that i would have just fell out i just be like oh you just fall laying knowing your luck and that day if you would have fell out in grass one of two things either a dog would have approached started licking your face or you would have fell in like an anthill or like on a stone or something. I was like at this point man my eyes were burning. He said he doesn't like it?
Starting point is 00:47:35 He was literally like hell I don't like it. Imagine that hey it's not for me. He just takes off. Who do you think you are? Keep that to yourself like who who says things like that bro oh the snapchat i sent you there was a i'm driving to work right we get caught at this red light i just thought of cars and like oh yeah keeping stuff to yourself the one about the license plate oh yeah i literally we're at this red light this woman has a license plate on the back of her car it literally says it's so it's like the license plate's here it's normal number but it's like the perimeter has like a saying and i'm like okay let
Starting point is 00:48:16 me get closer it says proud wife of a respiratory therapist what did i ask said what what are we doing now just telling people like i don't care i was like i'm just going to my why do you have it's like he's not even he's not even like a the surgeon or say he's just like he talks about him about the he's just no shade yeah great job i don't think it's i thank you for helping others but why are you putting on your car are you the respiratory therapist did you invent therapy for respiratory issues like what it's just a strange yeah it's like what do you proud husband of of the mother to my kids it's like no one asked why i just all right i literally was like i immediately recorded it and i sent it and i was like i don't remember asking i don't know if the car behind me asked and texted i have a love hate relationship with like bumper stickers
Starting point is 00:49:14 and stuff and it's like the ones that really make me mad it's when it's the family on the back yeah it's like the the big stick figure the next one two little kids a little nugget at the end like a dog yeah it's like put that on your fridge. Yeah, okay, you have a family. It's like, you're driving a minivan. I would assume you have a family. Yeah. What do you, it's like, that's not them.
Starting point is 00:49:34 That's stick figures. If you have pictures of their faces, that'd be concerning. But now I know who you're, like, shouting out. I think I have a problem with bumper stickers because I am scarred for life as a kid. Did y'all have marathon kids in your elementary school so it's like basically throughout the year you would run a marathon a little feat yeah you get a little yeah and so i collected i was running and so at the end of the year if you were everybody got this bumper sticker so at the end of the year you got a bumper stick or a sticker that said 26.2 like uh marathon kids i was so proud of this i don't know why
Starting point is 00:50:06 i was so proud of it but i took it home and i was like dad can we put this on your car as a bumper sticker your dad said yes and then he goes huh and this i was like nah whatever and i go outside to the front yard your dad is not going for that go outside to the front yard and i put the i put the sticker on the back of my dad's truck but it's lopsided because i'm a kid so i go back inside and i'm happy i'm like every time we drive they're gonna know this kid ran a marathon they don't care they don't care i didn't know that i thought everybody was like my achievement was legendary they're driving by this kid rocks i thought i was gonna get parade every time we drove around and so we have to go
Starting point is 00:50:45 out to go get groceries later and we go to the car and as we go to the car i'm waiting for my dad to see it he's gonna be like yes son i'm proud of you you go to the back of the car and he looks he goes the hell is this baby like you put this on my car and i'm like yep right there 26.2 miles i ran it and he goes don't ever put this shit Just rips it off He's gonna put this on your notebook or something Go journal about this. Oh, I don't want that on my car. That's so now every time I see a bumper sticker. I'm like You didn't run the marathon bro we got one more topic bumper stickers oh shit this episode went by fast that's how you know it's good um i got some low state you know what really pisses me off let's hear it inconveniences but
Starting point is 00:51:39 inconveniences that are like not my biggest pip you've ever i have a lot of niche inconveniences that are like not my biggest pep you've ever i have a lot of niche inconveniences like i don't like i don't like that that is an inconvenience to me quit it i don't like whenever my sock and ankle sock rolls to the middle of my foot in the middle of the day do your job and stay on my heel you know what i mean piss me off and now in you got to lift your heel off your shoe, put your finger in your shoe, put it back. And it's never right after that. It's so bad. Or whenever you get a rock stuck into your shoe and every time you're walking, you're. I literally am like, I popped that thing out so good.
Starting point is 00:52:21 But the initial feeling of it, one of the biggest inconveniences in the world that pisses me off is low water pressure. When I get into a shower and it feels like someone's spitting on my scalp. Ooh, do your job. Not only in a shower, in a sink. Oh, it's so bad. Because you got to. It's like I basically have to get the gunk off of these plates by myself. Like, no, I want to put it under the water and it go, just like spray everything off.
Starting point is 00:52:49 It's so bad. It's so bad. So bad. Low water pressure. What are some other ones? Whenever I'm at, like at my house and I'm chilling, like I'm done for the day. The apartment's clean or whatever. I'm about to like just eat, sit down, watch a movie, sit on my couch, chill out.
Starting point is 00:53:04 And then all of a sudden smoke detector battery dead now all you hear is the loudest beep it sounds like an amber alert is going off inside my house it's the loudest screech in the world every dog in the neighborhood is looking now because they hear this bro that is like one thing that is forever and always ingrained with like modern warfare memories and stuff someone in your group always had the thing in the background always you're sitting there trying to just play and you just beep or what i don't know hey mute your mic unless you're talking literally like oh my god that's i'm right there with you on that one too the fire i just or when i ride it literally i will rip the thing out like
Starting point is 00:53:46 if you're not gonna be it's like and like i don't keep spare triple a's around whatever they take are those big ass diesel batteries no i don't keep those around like what so now i gotta wait all day and just go to subscription batteries you have to get like special ones that's another thing it's like why am i having to put the square battery that they're always out of in? It's like, if it's a AA, I'll replace it. But no, I have to go buy a mini car battery to stop my house, which has never caught on fire from catching on fire. I don't leave kerosene and stuff around my house. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:54:19 But, I mean, that craziest thing happens. When a door doesn't work properly, because I went on an apartment tour the other day, and they had a balcony door, and they're like, go check out your view. Go look. And I'm like, okay. I go to the door and, like, pull the handle down, as you normally do to open doors. It's one step. You pull down, you push.
Starting point is 00:54:41 You pull or you twist. Exactly. You pull down, you push. Door should be open. I pull down, not opening. twist exactly you pull down you push door should be open i pull down not opening i'm like shoulder checking all right and then i i pull it down some more and then i put my other hand on the actual door i'm like all right yeah door's not dooring enough and what am i supposed to do then i have to result to every option i pull the lever up and i'm like all right
Starting point is 00:55:01 it's not working and i'm like hey what's happening like you as a door you have one you have one job open and close door yeah it's like how does this happen like exactly that's my biggest pet peeve of all time the door doesn't have a brain we created you to be a door so door exactly you're what you that door should always be a door and it should door enough about doors but no inconveniences god there i mean especially when it's something that is not a human exactly if anything inanimate that is it's like just6 to like 40. Anyway. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:47 It's like, just do what you're supposed to and we'll have a good time. Have a good time like I'm a tip-off or something. Bro, somebody booked this. I'm not going to talk about it. Something's happening right now. It's unbelievable. Is there anything else you want to talk about? I am so dehydrated, bro.
Starting point is 00:56:04 We definitely need food in our systems. I have to stay here for another hour yep but uh i'm gonna get food so you bring me back something bro please next time we'll do another uh taste testing segment i'm not gonna tell him what it is no idea no idea i gotta do my research gotta figure it out we're not doing what that one dude said at DreamCon. Oh, someone said for me to make Peyton try ramen noodles with milk. What the hell? And I was like, no thanks. It's like, we don't hate Peyton. Yeah, it's like that.
Starting point is 00:56:39 I literally was like, have you tried it? He goes, no. I was like, all right. That kind of says enough. Says what we need to know. Yeah, I can't believe. Yeah, that's wild. Shit, that's another episode of the You Should Know Podcast. We're almost at 10,000 subscribers.
