Your Favorite Thing with Wells & Brandi - Bring Back Bond!
Episode Date: February 11, 2026It’s a good day to be a YFTer when both hosts are in the studio. Brandi escapes the Tennessee polar vortex in hopes of warming up with sunshine and some steaming hot takes. From Bridgerton ...frustrations to a very valid argument about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance, nothing is off-limits.You already know they’re asking the right questions while watching extremely questionable Winter Olympic sports (how did doubles luge start?), and breaking down which TV twists worked (All Her Fault) and which didn’t (His & Hers). Brandi explains why Rob is a predictable Traitor (the hot guy in his 20s? Connect the dots, people) why Sweet Johnny is so confidently wrong, and whether she thinks Eric accepts the Traitor invite.Plus, a conversation about club culture reveals how old your hosts really are as they bash bottle service, praise jazz lounges, and demand earlier concerts (being home by 9pm doesn’t sound so bad). And, in classic Wells fashion, we’re treated to a passionate Daniel Craig Bond manifesto. #BringBackBondThanks to our awesome sponsors for supporting this episode! What's that?
Hi.
You're in the studio.
In the studio.
It's always better, I feel like, when you're here.
I know.
What are you doing in town?
Did you have to leave the solar, the polar vortex?
I wish it was the solar vortex.
Yeah, so now you've come to the polar, the solar.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I haven't been out here.
I know this seems nuts because I,
I'm like, I have been here in so long, but I was here in December.
But for me, that feels kind of long.
Yeah.
I was home for a while.
So I'm just, you know, making my, you know, monthly trip, seeing my family, doing some podcasting.
And yes, seeing the sunshine.
Matt's miserable in Tennessee.
Is he not here?
No, he is.
Okay.
I was like, and when we're in Tennessee, like, he's been miserable.
Yeah.
But he lived there before you, right?
He didn't live there.
Oh, he didn't?
He was just visiting.
Okay.
And he's like, awesome.
Australians, like we are not cut out for this.
He was like 60, it was like 64 the other day.
It finally like warmed up and he was like, I'm cold.
Yeah.
And I was like, are you fucking serious right now?
Like 64 is my ideal temp.
If it's 64 and sunny, to me that is ideal temperature.
I'm not too hot.
I'm not sweating.
You know, but it's nice out.
Yeah.
And I don't know.
I just thought it was such a beautiful day.
And he was like, I'm cold.
Yeah.
I was like, this is ridiculous.
So he's been counting down the days to come out here because my mom has been throwing it in our
face that it's gorgeous here.
Yeah.
Pool weather, some might say.
So yeah, we're here for a week and it is really nice.
I mean, I feel like Australians and Californians are like cut from the same cloth.
Yeah, I think so.
And like live in the same kind of temperate climate.
Mm-hmm.
And yeah.
It is humid there, though.
Is it?
Yes.
It felt like Florida when I was there.
Oh, wow.
Very humid.
But aside from that, yes.
Like I think their winters, like, it's like 64 in the winter, you know?
And that's why he's like, I'm cold.
Well, why don't you.
guys move here? Because I'm not rich enough. Yes, you are Brandy. I'm not. I'm not. Even if I could
afford a house here that would suffice. The thing is like I can't leave the horses. The horses have
to come. Yeah. So I have to have a certain type of house that is expensive. Even if I could
afford a house here. The property tax alone is like half of what some people like normal people
make in a year. Yeah. It's fucking crazy. And then like expenses a living. I think it's all more
expensive. You have to have fire insurance, earthquake insurance. Like, it's just wild. Yeah.
How do you do it? So what I did was I married a very wealthy person. Right. That's what that was my,
maybe should have thought about that. Yeah, Matt, work harder. My mom's visiting me right now. Yeah,
she's so cute. I saw her on the way in. So she's been staying with me and I was, you know,
usually when you come over, Matt comes over. Oh, you were hoping he would be here. And I was like,
I'm not going to tell. I'm not going to tell. I'm not.
going to tell because I want Matt to be stuck talking to my mom for an hour and a half while
we do this podcast.
He would have loved that.
I'm sure.
He loves talking to people.
Yeah.
Big chatty Kathy loves to tell a story.
And I'm sure my mom would have been like swooning over a seven foot tall Australian man.
Totally.
Yeah.
That's too good.
So how long are you here for?
A week.
Okay.
I'm going to pop up to Bend on Friday to play a show.
Cool.
But I brought Astra with me.
So I'm going to like pop up there for the day, come back.
And then we go home Monday.
I was talking to Sarah on my run today.
And she's in the Arctic in New York.
And she was like, it's 20 below freezing.
But that's a crazy number.
Yeah, it's wild.
And she was like, it's so windy that like I can't, like I'm so little that like I really can't walk forward.
What's the weather like in at home?
And I'm like, I'm not going to, I'm not going to, I was like on a run.
I was like, I'm not going to tell you.
And she was like, just tell me.
And I was like,
I don't think you want to know this.
And she's like, just tell me.
And I was like, well, it's 66 degrees right now, but it's getting up to 81.
You shouldn't have stopped it.
It's 66 right now.
Because that might be like, oh, it's a little chilly.
Yeah, it's like, okay.
It's not great.
I mean, listen.
It's going to be a-
Compared to negative 20, though.
Today's the Super Bowl, right?
Yeah, I forgot.
So today's going to, I have to go over to the club because I have to do a hot wing
eating challenge.
Oh, have to go to the club.
Have to do a hot-to-do.
I have to do it.
Yeah.
It's tough because, you know what?
66 to start.
but then 81, that's going to have to make a wardrobe change.
That's true.
You know?
Yep.
It's a layer up.
Hard out here in these mean streets of Studio City.
So, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
What else has been going on?
Just, you know, ice storm recovery.
Yeah.
Slow, but going on.
I don't really know what else is going on, to be honest with you.
Not a whole lot.
It's still like the beginning of the years like a little slow always.
It's like February.
Yeah, yeah, it's February.
Things will start picking up, I think, like,
March.
I'm about to text my manager like,
yeah.
Hey,
what's going on?
I bet managers and agents hate this time of year.
Yeah.
Because all the clients are like,
hi,
what's going on?
What am I doing?
Yeah.
And it's just,
this is what happens in entertainment this time of year.
I guess.
Just slow.
Okay.
Want to start?
Yeah.
Be my guess.
Bro's nose.
You're listening to your favorite thing podcast with.
Well,
Brandy in person.
Studio.
I finished Ready Player 2.
Just rip through both of those.
books. Wow. If you haven't gone back and read those books. I mean, I've read them before.
Do you go reread? I enjoyed it just as much. My thing was, I remember thinking Ready Player 2 wasn't
as Good as Ready Player 1, which I mean, I think that's true. But I still really enjoyed Ready Player 2.
So, I don't know. Yeah. It's interesting. I feel like reading it now, I would be more like,
oh my God, this is happening. It's starting to happen, you know, with the VR and the AI.
and I don't know.
Yeah, I don't know.
I have a VR headset.
You have one?
Yeah.
That's fucking creepy.
I play golf in it.
Of course you do.
Do you want to play it after this?
No.
I don't.
Like you feel like you're there.
Oh, that's so crazy.
But yeah, listen, nothing beats being in the real world.
I agree.
Until the real world goes to shit and then it will beat it.
I feel like the real world has gone to shit.
He's going.
What have got the Olympics right now?
Yeah.
You care about that?
Um,
I care minimally, but I see it on TikTok and stuff.
I do like the winter sports, especially ice skating.
Like, everyone loves ice skating.
You watching curling?
I can't say that I am.
That's a fucking weird sport.
I don't know why we're doing that.
No.
I know I have a friend that does a curling league in Chattanooga,
but they use cast iron pans.
Oh, interesting.
They have a whole league.
Okay.
And then they come up with like punny names for their team.
like Pan's labyrinth or like Pan and Teller.
Okay.
Those are some of the I came up with.
Oh, wow.
Anyway,
but those are pretty good.
And then you have like the luge,
which seems the skeleton luge,
the one where it's like just a guy sitting on another guy going down.
So weird.
Yeah.
Right.
I love that meme that's like,
I feel like this was an excuse that just got like way out of hand.
Totally.
There's some questionable sports for sure.
Yeah. Or like the skiing and then like riflery? What is that? Why are those two things together?
I don't seem to correlate to me. No. That would be a fun one though.
It would. You just got there and then you're shooting shit and then you're like, all right, I'm back on going to skiing.
Can I just talk to you? I know every week I've been talking about it and I just, I feel like you're not watching it and it's starting to frustrate me.
The Night of the Seven Kingdom. I'm all caught up. Are you? How fucking amazing is it?
It's great. And you were correct. Yes. Your theory was right.
What?
About egg.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Egg on, yeah.
Yeah.
I think it's the best of the three that I've seen.
Do you?
I really do.
I mean, I don't know if I go that far yet, but I like it.
I'll tell you what I don't fucking like.
What don't you like?
All the fucking horses dying and getting hurt.
Well, there's only one horse that got hurt.
I mean, I feel like there were a couple of scenes where it was like questionable.
The one was bad.
Yeah, because that makes you want to really hate this guy.
It makes you really want to be on the side of dunk.
I just don't want to see those things.
I don't need.
either. I also am to like, pissed. Spoiler alert, that he sold the white horse. I know, but he's
going to buy it back. Why the white one? The white one was the special one. Yeah, because, well,
the black one is the one he has to have for the tourney. It's like his, I think that's like his pack
meal. I don't know. But I will tell you this. I'm reading the book now. I'm listening to the book now.
Yeah. And yeah, they talk about the horses a little bit where, yeah, the black one is like just for
battle and for tourney. So I'll report back. I'll, I'll,
exactly why it happened.
To me, it's like the gray horse is the nicest one.
So I guess he thought he'd get the most money for it.
But I'm just so sad about it.
I know.
I know.
Give her some extra oats and an apple.
Okay, so this is like something I was thinking about, you know, like,
you have these like really epic scenes, right?
Where it's like, like, drag, like, in the other shows, like, dragons and like denaries.
They're about to like, you know, or John Snow about to jump on a dragon or whatever.
Like these really, really iconic and like just like the stage.
are huge and it's just like amazing storytelling.
And then you have this story where it's just this night trying to be a good person
and asking everyone to help him to join this battle.
And then all of a sudden the gates open and that one Targaryen riding through.
And I was like, this is just as big of a moment.
And like as such a cool theatrical moment.
And the stakes aren't nearly as high as like the stakes aren't nearly as high as like the
world ending with dragon fire and stuff, you know?
And I think that's what I like about this show is that,
and it kind of proves to you that you don't need like these huge epic storylines
for you to like really care about something, you know?
Yeah, that's true.
Let me ask you this.
Do you think he was ever knighted by Sir Arwin Penny Tree?
No.
You don't.
No.
Do you?
Well, I think it's ambiguous for a reason, right?
Right, yeah.
You know, it kind of implies that he isn't.
but, you know, Dunk is such an honorable guy that I'm not sure if he would do that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like, his whole thing is like, he is so pure of heart.
That's very true.
But I think also great storytelling because you're like, I don't know.
And it makes you decide.
And I think I tend to agree with you that he's not a knight.
That's the point of the story is that like, because let's be honest, what's going to happen.
He's going to, all the things that like are being foretold are going to happen, right?
Like he's going to ride a dragon at some point.
Egg's going to be king.
By the way, do you know the brother that like is like, I saw you my dream?
You know who that is?
No.
He's the main maister in the Knights Watch who's blind.
Oh, shit.
How do you know that?
The book?
No, there's a like I saw like a TikTok where he's like talking to John Snow and John Snow's like
your whatever is named Targaryen.
And he's like, yes, but I am just a Knights Watchman or whatever.
And he's like, he was like, they wanted me to be the king.
but I refused and my little brother became the king.
I thought that was cool.
I think the reason why he's not a knight is because the story is that the most nightly person,
the guy who actually defends like the innocent and the weak,
is a person who's not actually a knight.
Like I think that's the story.
Right.
I like that story.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I do think too, like Game of Thrones, there's just so many characters that it's,
hard, like, it's hard to really develop all of them to the extent that I feel like they've
developed these couple of characters, you know. And so I do like that part of it, that it's
more like a character story. It was always hard to kind of keep up with everything. You're like,
all right, now we're going to Westros. Okay, now we're going to Brickin Dorn or whatever.
Yeah. Now we're going to the wall and it was like, well, too much is happening. I agree. Yeah.
Whereas this is like very singular. It's like. It's a great show. It's so good. I both love it.
I bet. Matt, I'm sure Matt is like, this is me.
and instead of a horse, I ride a Harley.
True.
And you're egg.
Am I?
No, you're the puppeteer that he defends her honor for.
I don't need nobody to defend my own.
Come on.
Fair enough.
No, it is great.
We're loving it for sure.
The book.
First of all, it's a novella.
It's still a 10-hour read on my audible.
Oh.
It's still thick.
Yeah.
I'm really like on my run, so I listened to like the first like,
20 minutes of it. Is the show pretty parallel to the book?
Almost exact.
Wow.
I think that they are, and I think I've seen that on like TikTok of people that had read the novella being like, this one's the most, the closest to what he wrote.
So much so, like even in the lines and stuff.
Interesting.
What about Sir Awen Penetree's giant horsecock?
Matt loved that.
He loves that one.
I don't think I needed to see that.
Personally.
I don't know if anyone needed to see that.
But that got a big kick out of me.
That was hilarious.
Huge, right?
So Pringles can.
That's not in the book.
That's not in the book.
No.
Like the way he's described is like,
yeah,
the way it's discovered.
Well,
that's,
I think like they really wanted to have comedy in it.
Like that first episode when he like shits some like shits behind the tree.
That loved that too.
And then that like,
that scene where like he's like,
will anyone fight with me?
And then that guy stands up.
Yeah.
And then farts.
Yeah.
It's like there's.
There is.
Yeah.
Every episode's got like a thing like that where you're like, oh shit.
Totally.
Anyways.
I would say those scenes are honestly some of Matt's favorites.
Yeah, me too.
So funny.
Show's good.
Yeah, it is good.
I hope that they just keep going with it.
Yeah.
Even after the novella, it's like, well, just, I want to know more about dunk.
Yeah.
I actually want to see the egg on become king.
Like, that sounds cool.
I agree.
And also like they keep foreshadding that there's a dragon.
Okay, cool.
So that means they're down.
on the road, we can get to a dragon?
Yeah.
Okay.
I agree.
I'm in.
Yeah.
Remember they were going to make a show with John Snow?
Yeah.
Are they not doing that?
No.
I feel like.
And with Aria, right?
Wasn't she getting, what?
I heard she was getting a show.
Yeah.
I don't know.
But yeah, I'm excited about the book.
I think everyone is looking for radiant skin.
Right?
We're all out here looking for ways to improve what our skin looks like.
I got retinae.
I got hydrolonic acid.
Oh, you do?
I got lotions and potions and everything.

And I love the way it tastes.
Yeah, the BT fountain has some of those ingredients, those buzzword ingredients that Wells said he

Oh, I finished.
Isn't hers?
And?
I didn't love the twist.
I didn't either.
Okay, good.
I really didn't.
Like, it was kind, there was kind of like a, it almost felt like a little bit of a double
twist. Like, I do feel like there were, like, at the end, you know, like you said, you were kind of
thinking that it was like them, you said it was, uh, what was your theory that I thought it was both
of them that they were like just pretending to like not know what was going on. Yeah. So I feel like
to like the first twist, right, was that what's her face, the news anchor was the friend from the,
you know, was the fat girl. Fat girl from school. Like that twist alone, I think would have been enough.
For sure. I saw that the writing on the wall was like,
oh, I think the fat girl kills everyone.
Yeah.
And then I put it together like, oh, the fat girl is that girl.
And then I was like, that's cool.
Yeah, and I was putting that together like kind of like I was like a teeny tiny step ahead of it happening.
Like I wasn't so far ahead that it was boring.
I was like, oh, is this okay.
Like it was very, I liked it.
I liked that twist.
And but then I felt like they just took it one step too far making it her mom and like with that whole story.
And like a little unbelievable.
I know. Extremely unbelievable.
It's like...
Extremely.
Okay.
I know.
And the rest of it was, like, the rest of it was believable up until that point.
Yeah.
So yeah, I agree.
That wasn't the only bummer for me was just the very end.
I got to be honest with you.
I have a lot of empathy and sympathy for the fact.
Well, yeah.
Of course.
Like, there was so, like, yeah, you should kill her.
You know, they fed you piss.
I know.
You should die for that.
And then almost got her raped.
I know.
I guess the only bad thing.
thing is that she didn't like stick around and save what's her name.
Yeah.
But I would be like, screw you guys.
I know.
You fed me piss.
You brought me out in the woods to get raped by these two old guys by helping
any of you.
I'm out of here.
Pretty fucked.
And then the killing of the sister with the,
expressing all the air out of the puffer.
Insane.
Yeah.
But also, hey, guy, let's get a little inboard, you know,
a little trolling motor to get you back just in case something bad happens.
What are you doing?
Or an or maybe.
Yeah.
You know?
Yeah, totally.
Although I still think that would have taken too long.
Yeah, maybe so.
Pretty evil.
Pretty evil.
Yeah, but how would you know that you're going to have an asthma attack on that?
I mean, I don't know anybody with asthma, so I don't know how it works.
But like, I guess you just assume that, yeah, you have them enough that if you're out on the boat all day, you're going to have one.
Yeah.
Anyways, it was good.
It was just like, I don't know.
Just the very, very end.
Yeah.
It was a little bit of a lette.
The one with Claire Daines, I like that one better.
Beast and me.
And then the one, the babies were switched when they got into a car crash.
Oh, yes.
What show was that?
That was all her fault.
All her fault.
That one was great.
That was a good one.
Great twist.
Kind of saw coming, but I was okay with it.
This one I was like, this old bitch wouldn't have done this.
No, I know.
I'm with you.
I agree.
Yeah.
Same page.
Traders?
Traders.
Have you seen the most recent episode?
Yeah.
I think I have.
You haven't.
No.
Well, I fucking called it.
Yeah.
Nail in the coffin for Candace.
I know.
I just wish so bad she hadn't done that.
I would love to see a different outcome where she just sticks with Natalie's name.
And I just wish I could see like what that ending was like.
You know, you were talking about last episode that you didn't like the way that Rob was playing the game.
I like the way that Rob's playing the game.
I mean, he's just playing it very different.
than it's ever been playing as a traitor.
And part of me is like, oh, that is kind of nice,
that we're not just watching the same show
for the fourth time or whatever it is.
It's just, God, I wish I'd screenshot it.
Someone posted a meme that was like,
of course the hot 20-something-year-old boy
is the best at gaslighting and lying tennis.
Yeah.
Like a fucking course.
You know what I mean?
How does no one see this?
Nothing.
Like, the good-looking 20-something
is the liar.
Like, how do we not see this?
That is very funny.
It's so true.
So true.
Jesus Christ.
Everyone's dictatized.
Everyone is.
Yeah.
Especially the gays.
They are heavily dignitized.
Totally.
Sweet Johnny.
He's just wrong about everything.
Everything.
I don't know what he's thinking.
Absolutely everything.
And Eric, too.
Eric has no idea what's going on.
Okay.
Well, did you not see last episode where he gets recruited?
or they attempt to recruit Eric.
Well, yeah, and he thinks it's Johnny, right?
Yes.
Yeah.
Eric thinks it's Johnny.
Of course, they, like,
we'll leave you on a cliffhanger.
We don't know if Eric's going to say yes or not.
But I think he has to.
God, can you imagine those two guys in the turret?
The nicest never suspects.
Yeah.
Yeah, they definitely would not win, that's for sure.
Rob's just playing really dirty.
And, yeah, it's just, it's different, right?
Yeah.
Like, no one else has played that dirty and that, like, selfish.
I'll tell you what, like going forward, I'll be hard pressed to say that I wanted to be a traitor because, you know, in kind of the beginning of the show, like season one and even in season two, like the traders really stuck together.
Yeah, I know.
And also that's that's the power that they have in numbers, right?
They've always got a three vote swing if they need it, right?
And then season, that season that I was on were like Rob was just like going after and it like kind of opened the floodgates for like there is no loyalty.
in the turret, you know?
Yeah.
And so now I'd be like super anal
or super like just nervous
about like being up there.
Yeah, I would definitely not want to be a traitor.
I've been thinking that...
I've been definitely not.
After doing this show and doing this other podcast about it
and I was like always like, well, I'd do it again.
I've always been like, no, I'm good.
If I did do it again, I'd be like, I want to be a traitor.
Oh.
I don't like, I don't even care.
Listen, if I'm going to get...
Well, now they're definitely, you're not going to do it
because now they just know...
But you, so here's a thing.
here's a little behind the scenes thing.
I would say that 99% of every gamer that goes on begs to be a traitor.
I'm sure.
I didn't do that.
What I said was,
and I think this was like why I didn't become a traitor.
I was like,
I think I'd be good at being a traitor,
but I think I'd be good at being a faithful.
So I don't know.
I'm kind of indifferent.
But I think that like now more and more people are like,
I want to be a traitor.
Yeah.
100%.
Yeah.
And that's so funny to me when people,
especially when gamers are like,
I told them 100%
I wanted to be a faith bowl.
It's like, no, you didn't.
No, you didn't.
Come on.
Well, also, I would think that for a lot of people,
they would assume that being a traitor
means more screen time.
Yeah.
And so I feel like that's probably also part of the reason
people want that role.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Anyways, good show.
It is.
It's been a great season.
How many episodes are left?
Just a few?
Yeah.
What are we on seven?
Yeah, we're like getting...
It's usually about 10 and then I think 11 or 12 is the...
That's kind of long.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You big ASS.
Rocky guy?
I used to be.
I mean, I think he's cool.
I think he's cool, too.
But yeah.
Why, is there bad blood with ASAP Rocky?
No.
Okay.
He's married to Rihanna.
I recognize that I think maybe I am ASAP Rocky.
Huh, why don't you say that?
Here's Asap Rocky talking about club culture.
That's the kind of shit I'm into.
I'm in the dive bars.
I'm in the lounges.
I'm in the pubs.
I'm not into the clubs.
The club culture is day.
Why the hell you want to be around a bunch of motherfuckers having a staring contest?
When I'm flexing on you for about to pay 10x
How much a fucking beverage elix a cost
And fucking liquor store
And go over there
And they want to charge you a million dollars
For a bottle with Casamigos of 1942
Get the fuck out of here
I could do this in my living room
Call some friends over have a gathering
No weirdos around
Play some cars
Some crazy aides
Call it a day
That's the kind of shit I'm into
I mean he is not wrong
I think that someone like that needs to say that
Totally.
You definitely have lived in that world where like you're going to clubs, I'm sure.
Well,
it's also part of your job.
As my job,
which is,
that's what's funny is for me,
like,
before I started DJing,
I never stepped foot inside a club.
Yeah.
Like,
that was just not,
I've never been like a club rat.
I've never been the kind of person that likes,
like to do that,
like go out and have,
in the nightlife game and all that.
So I never really saw it from the perspective of,
of going and being like one of the masses.
But I've never understood it,
especially the price of alcohol.
Yeah. Like it's so crazy. I even have a hard time going out to a restaurant and paying for a
cocktail or a glass of wine because I'm like, this is fucking ridiculous. $19. That's like I can have
an entire bottle of wine for the price that I'm paying for this glass. I just, I just don't
understand it. It's like, why can't we just all go to someone's house and drink wine if we want to?
I, I had a very brief season of life where I went to clubs. It was very brief. I got booed up
real quick, but like, I remember, you know, like right after this show, like very recognizable.
We'd be coming out to L.A. for whatever, going to like hide and all those fucking clubs.
And I remember, because I was still like very much hipster East Nashville.
And I remember being like, I got a bottle of vodka for $300.
And also, like, the drinks suck because I'm having to make them, you know?
And like, I don't have all the-
A bottle service is disgusting.
It's so, you don't have all the accoutreement.
You're like-
I need some more soda water and I need some like cranberry and I just lemon.
I'm as like, you can't make anything good in there.
No.
And then what do you do?
You taking shots of vodka?
What are you a fucking psychopath?
Yep.
And it's so true.
And I've really, especially in New York, really getting into the lounges.
Yeah.
I love, you give me a little jazz piano player.
Oh.
There's one at the Carlisle.
Yep.
He's amazing.
Go over the Carlisle.
Now it's a little expensive.
But you also get, you know, a drink and a,
show get the fuck out of there that's what i'm talking about yeah yeah i mean i do think
club culture is dying it is extreme because obviously when you go to las vegas like it is
a lot but vagus has had a hard couple of years it has it's all the talk in Vegas you know and
for especially as a dj is just like the numbers in Vegas are just down like clubs aren't as full
hotels aren't is booked. Vegas has been really slow for a few years. And I think some of it,
of course, was like COVID and like just people aren't, weren't spending the same kind of money to go
do Vegas and whatnot. But I think more so than that, I think like people aren't drinking as
much. Like all the research has come out about how bad alcohol is for us. And so many people are
going sober and giving up alcohol, especially like Gen Z. Like I see all the stats about like
Gen Z's sober, and I do feel like that has a big impact on nightlife and on club life.
I also think the late hours. I think people are realizing how big of a piece of the puzzle of
health is sleep. Oh yeah. And the oar rings and the woup bands are not helping. It's not. And so I do
feel like there is going to be the shift towards more like day parties and day clubs and lounges.
And yeah, it's really interesting. And honestly, like,
At first glance of that, it's like as a DJ that could scare me because so much of my work and my, you know, employment is nightlife.
But I don't know. I'm kind of down to shift with it and do more day shows and do more day clubs.
And especially like as I get older, like I'm kind of all for that.
Yeah.
I don't need to be in the club till 5 a.m.
I forget who said it, but it was like, can we stop having concerts start at 10 o'clock at night?
Yeah, it's rough.
Like, look at, you know, it'll be really great.
Go have an early dinner.
Yeah.
And then you go.
And then you go at 7.30 at starts.
You're out of there by 9.30.
This sucks because I can hear how old I sound.
Yeah.
10 o'clock start.
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
So now we're talking 12 o'clock.
Then you're just an encore.
Then I get the fuck out of there.
Crazy.
You know, or we go get a drink afterwards.
And then all of a sudden it's like 1.30.
Don't get home until 2.
I got work the next day or whatever.
Let's normalize just, let's just shift it up.
I know.
Let's do that.
I know.
That's, I will say, like, obviously the sphere is targeted towards an older demographic,
like people that can afford sphere tickets.
But I will say, it was really fucking nice being on that schedule.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I think Kenny started at eight.
And I think I started at seven and Kenny at eight.
Like, that's a great timing.
And for Vegas, that's very early.
Yeah.
Very early.
And then the reason they do that too is because then people go from there to the nightclubs,
I guess.
But I don't know.
I'm like, can we do more of that?
8 o'clock shows.
Yeah.
All right.
Do it.
Everyone do it.
Yeah.
All right, y'all, it's absolutely freezing here in Nashville, and I've been wearing layers on layers.
And my go-to pieces that I've been pulling out are my pieces from Quince.
You guys know how much I love Quince.
They've really become my go-to for shopping for basics.
I love that they offer a ton of 100% organic cotton pieces.
I've got the T-shirts.
I've got the long-sleeved T-shirts that I wear under my organic cotton sweaters that I love.
of theirs. I love the cropped boyfriend sweater. It's 100% cotton. I actually bought Matt the men's
version for Christmas and it's one of his favorites. I love that quince uses the highest quality
materials like 100% European linen and that organic cotton I was just telling you guys about.

365-day returns. Quince.com slash Y-F-T. You know what I watched in totality recently?
What's that? That I'd never watched before, which is wild. I don't really know why.
I watched all of the Daniel Craig Bond movies. It's because
It's been splashed all over Netflix.
Yes, of course.
Matt's done the same thing.
Yeah.
Literally.
I'm like, why are you watching all these?
He's like, well, it's just what popped up on Netflix.
They're all available on Netflix now.
And I'm rewatching them all.
And they're good.
Yeah, Matt loves them.
Okay, so I was thinking about it.
And now I'm going to, I'm talking about the Daniel Craig Bond and even like Pierce
Brosden.
I will recognize that this whole rant I'm about to go on maybe doesn't apply to the
Sean Connery who is really a womanizing kind of asshole.
We live in this world now where we're
surrounded by these red pill blue pill in-cell 4chan guys, right? And we've gotten away from
like what a man is. And I was watching these Bond films and I was like, I think more of these
young kids need to watch this. Yeah. Because what is James Bond? He is the epitome of what every man
wants to be and what every woman wants to be with. Right? The thing about Bond is he is elegance and
opulence and fashion, right?
Like, and so like a lot of, I feel like these in cells are like, make fun of people
who have like fashion sense.
It's like, but James Bond has the coolest outfit.
Totally.
When he's in like San Chappelle and he's got like his cool like Riviera look on or like his
tuxedos are always sick, you know, accoutrement with like cufflings are always nice.
His watches are always great.
His cars are sick, right?
And I feel like he treats women relative.
well, like especially in this, this, in casino royale, like, he gets his heartbroken,
but he's also protect, he's protective of women, right? Like, he's like honorable. I mean,
he's obviously murdering a lot of people. So I don't know about that part. But like, I was watching
it and I was like, I feel like this younger generation needs to sit down and watch Bond. Yeah.
And be like, this guy is who you should be. You should be, yeah, you should be fit. You should be a badass.
But you should also, like, have fashion and like make women want to fuck you. Yeah.
And that's what he does a great job of, right?
Yes, yeah.
And, like, have a cool drink that you order every time you go out, you know?
Yeah.
Order for the girl, if you know where to drink.
Like, that stuff is cool.
It is.
And just watching it, I was like, more people need to be like, and that's a crazy thing to say.
Like, more people need to be James Bond.
I was like, they do.
Yeah.
You should have good clothes.
Totally.
You should have a cool car.
Yeah.
You should treat women with respect.
You should have a lot of sex with them.
You know, like all the things that Bond does is bad.
ass. You're not wrong. I know.
This is a good rant. It is. It's so
true. It's like
we got away from this.
I know. God damn.
Bring back Bond. Bring back bond.
Yes.
All right. I've ever really asked you.
Have you got any favorite things?
I'm all cut up on Bridgeton. Didn't know they only
gave us four fucking episodes.
What? I hate when they fucking do that.
I want to binge. I know.
Don't want just four episodes.
Going back to the 97 Kingdoms, well, you
I like about that?
They're like 35 minute run times.
You like that?
Yeah.
Oh, see, I don't think I get enough.
I'm like,
that was over too quick.
Like, and now I have to wait another week.
Totally,
but I would rather have 10 episodes of that than four episodes and be like,
dude.
I know,
I know.
It infuriates math, though,
that we have to wait a week to watch the next time.
I know.
It's infuriating.
But Bridgeton,
a lot of people are complaining about the lack of steamy sex scenes this season.
Oh, what?
And, you know,
I tend to agree.
Like, episode four had a little dabble,
but, you know,
part of the reason we watch Bridgetton,
is we love the steamy sex scenes and we need some more of that.
Yeah.
We do.
Why do you think they've gone away from little P and the V?
I don't know.
I guess like if they're going to release more episodes,
maybe they're saving it.
I'm not really sure.
Speaking of unbelievable though,
I just,
this whole,
this is a little bit of like a Cinderella story where,
since you're not going to watch it,
I'll just fill you in.
A little bit of a Cinderella story where Benedict Bridgeton,
you know,
is looking for this woman he saw at the ball that had a mask.
It was a masquerade.
And they kissed and they had this moment.
And now he's searching for her.
And he's been with her.
Every episode he's fucking with her the whole time.
And it's like,
how do you not know at this point that this is her?
Like you've kissed this girl.
You've hung out with this girl.
You've talked to this girl.
How are you not putting two and two together
that this is the one from the ball?
Because he's still like, yeah, I'm still searching for her.
And she's like right in front of it.
I've been right from the whole time.
Like this is just a bit unbelievable for me.
Yeah.
And I'm having a little bit of a hard time with the season because of that.
It's an allegory for life.
You know, sometimes what you need is right in front of you.
I know, but like he's not that dense.
Like you have to know by now.
You would think that kissing her would have been the thing.
Like I thought when they kissed Shirley, he was going to be like, oh, my God, it's you.
And he didn't.
So I'm like, yeah, I'm just a little frustrated.
But again, I know you don't watch it, but they do, I love how Richardson does the music
because they do, they have like a string, a string.
Quartet?
Maybe it's an orchestra.
I don't know what it is.
I don't know the right terminology, but they redo podcast.
songs as instrumental string quartet song, whatever that is.
And they, sometimes they pick stupid music, but this season it's been so good.
And I don't know if you know the Paramour song, all I wanted was you.
I want to say it was in, it was in some big movie when that song came out, but they read,
they did it instrumentally for Bridgeton.
And it's so fucking sick.
Like if you like Paramore and you were a Paramore fan, go listen to the version Bridgetton did
of this song because it's so.
good and it was so well placed.
Like whoever the music supervisor is is like doing an insanely great job with this.
The way they placed it in the scene was just chef's kiss.
Can I be vulnerable for a second?
Sure.
I used to have a still deal.
Huge crush on Haley Williams.
Really?
Yeah.
That's so funny.
To me like she is the ultimate.
Yeah.
Hot.
Yeah.
Rocker.
Chick.
She is.
She is.
You know, I grew up with her.
I know.
I know.
You never hooked me up with her.
Sorry.
It's all right.
She was always kind of been a really serious relationship.
Yeah.
Like one or another.
She's like five foot.
Oh, she's so tiny.
Yeah.
Totally your thing.
Oh, God.
Haley Williams.
I know.
I love her.
So talented.
Yeah.
Well, I'm sorry there's not a lot of sex.
Hopefully they bring it around the next four episodes.
If you want to watch some sex, may I suggest every Bond film.
Oh, you're right.
It's so.
That's why that's watching it.
I see.
He's like, this guy's fucking everybody.
I started watching a documentary on Netflix
called The Investigation of Lucy Ledby.
Have you heard about this?
No.
It's messed up.
Unseen footage and unheard insider accounts reveal the harrowing
and divisive case of Lucy Ledby,
the neonatal nurse convicted of fatally harming infants.
The investigation of Lucy Ledby only on Netflix.
Okay.
It's all like cop found footage, you know, like, yeah, behind the scenes, investigation and stuff.
So this girl, she seems like a lovely person.
She is a neonatal nurse in England.
All of a sudden there starts to be like a lot of like, in the middle of the night deaths of like these children,
preemies and stuff and in, you know, incubators and things or whatnot.
So they start noticing that in all of these deaths,
this one person was on call, this Lucy Ledby.
And so they're like, okay.
And so then they're like, let's, you know, her boss was like, she's very competent.
Like this is, I think this is just the thing.
So then they move her during the daytime.
Same thing.
A bunch of kids start dying.
Yikes.
Babies are dying.
So they arrest this woman.
And so it's a lot of people that don't believe that she was a mass baby serial killer.
And then there's a lot of people that do.
And of course, obviously the parents.
of these kids are like, I can't even imagine.
Anyways, I'm only a little bit into it, but wow.
And obviously this is true story.
Yeah.
Crazy.
Absolutely insane.
Yeah.
When did this happen?
Recently.
Oh.
I would say like in the last like seven years.
Wow.
10 to seven years.
It was so recent like they all had body cams, you know?
I feel like that's pretty recent.
Yeah.
Okay.
You know what movie's great.
Which one?
Oh, even the, the whole.
franchise. Night at the Museum. Fantastic film. Such a good film. Okay. I watched it on the flight.
It's so funny. Ben Stiller, great. And then like in the first one, it's like Robin Williams.
Owen Wilson's hilarious as the little cowboy that doesn't like to be manhandled.
It's, if you're looking for just a feel good movie. And then also the other ones are hilarious as well.
Do you go watch now at the museum?
Okay.
And then there's also like, you know, as someone who's been in New York a lot,
there's a lot of exposition in New York, obviously,
because it's right there on like 86th and 7th or whatever, 6th.
Check it out.
Interesting.
Yeah.
Okay.
Who do you think's going to win the Super Bowl?
Oh, well, this is going to come on afterwards.
I think the Seahawks are going to win the Super Bowl.
You do? Yeah.
Why do you think that?
They have a really good defense.
Ah.
And I feel like.
We love good D.
Yeah.
Very important.
You're a bond girl, too, I think.
Yeah.
I mean, I hope they win because I'm sick of the Patriots winning.
Right?
Yeah.
There is really nothing more annoying than a Patriots fan.
Totally.
It's like we get it.
You've been good for a long time.
Yep.
You don't deserve this.
I'm a Raider fan, okay?
Do you know what that's like?
No, you don't.
It is, it sucks so hard, dude.
And you know what?
You shouldn't get to be a fan of some team that just keeps on winning, getting to go to Super Bowls.
You're not wrong.
This is a weird one where like, I don't care.
Yeah.
I don't care about this game.
So a lot of people are like, the NFL is rigged and like, no, it's not.
Because if it was, it would be L.A.
versus the Patriots or what do you know?
Like, it would be bigger markets.
But this whole thing of the halftime show, fucking ridiculous.
Yeah.
Okay, and I'm going to tell you why.
Let's hear it.
I get it.
I actually understand, like, I think it's incredibly racist.
And if you, if you were like, no, I'm watching the turning point thing.
and I want to see kid rock or whatever.
It's like, no, it's because you don't like brown people.
I think this is what this sounds like.
But I get it.
Because it's a lot of people who love the Super Bowl are like white guys.
And I think over the past couple years, you know, it's gone away from the music that they like.
And then all of a sudden last year, they had Kendrick, right?
Yes.
A lot of white people were like, I don't understand this.
Like, first of all, this is like beef about some other guy.
And I don't even know that.
I loved it personally.
I did too, actually.
Yeah, but I totally get it.
I understand them being like, okay, okay, we did last year and like, can we, can we get one?
Yeah.
And they're like, no.
And this one's going to be in Spanish.
They're like, fuck.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I understand their, I understand people being like annoyed by it or whatever.
Sure.
But also, like, he is American.
That's what's, what is annoying.
It's like he's an American citizen.
Totally.
Just because you are stupid and don't realize that Puerto Rico is part of America.
Right.
That doesn't change the fact that the kid is American.
Yeah.
And he's also like the biggest thing.
If the Super Bowl is supposed to be like the biggest act.
Then it's, yeah, it's funny.
Got like the biggest song out.
Like, come on, won all the Grammys.
Yeah.
Cool, fun.
You know, whatever.
But I bet you guys be pumped like the Rolling Stones are playing.
Well, the Rolling Stones are fucking British, you know?
Yeah.
And you had Shania Twain.
Well, she's Canadian.
Or if you had Justin Bieber.
Well, he's Canadian.
Shania, yeah.
Yeah.
I saw a list of like a ton of.
people that have done the Super Bowl and most of them are not American.
Yeah.
Which is interesting.
But my last point, and I think the strongest point I've got for this whole thing,
is for all the like kind of racist white guys who are angry about this,
you need to understand that the halftime show isn't for you.
You get the game.
Yeah.
That's what you're interested in.
And then you make your girlfriends or their gay friends or whatever come to this fucking party
and they don't give two shits about football.
Right.
And this is their one thing that they get.
You're right.
They get some flashy, androgy, androgyness thing that's like for them.
Right.
And you being annoyed by it sucks so hard because it's like they don't care.
And you know what?
This is your opportunity to go in the fucking kitchen and get the wings and the beer, you know?
Like this is not for you, man.
You're so right.
I know I'm right.
You're right.
One of my favorites from the past, like, few years was Rihanna's Super Bowl performance.
I loved it.
Yeah.
She was so good.
Mine favorite was, it was like all the rap greats.
It was like Snoop and Eminem and that one was really good.
That one was sick.
Yeah, it was.
I didn't care so much for the weekends one.
I saw that one in person.
You liked it?
Yeah, I mean, listen, seeing the show in person is kind of a let down because it's the performance is made for television.
Yeah.
So it was kind of like whatever in person.
But I watched it back and I love the weekend.
So I did like it.
I didn't think his performance was as strong as Kendrix was.
I'm trying to think of like who in the past few years has just been awesome.
And like Rihanna stands out to me.
She was pregnant during that, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That was a good one.
Very cool.
Yeah.
Now just going back like that is, we just named the ones that our favorites are like not country artists.
No, I know.
I know.
So I understand where they're coming from.
When is, when was the last?
country artist to perform.
I do feel like it's been a minute.
I'll be honest, like they should have,
they should do what they did for the rap guys.
They should have like a Garth Brooks and, uh,
Jake Owen and what all those.
Post Malone would be sick.
Post Malone all and have them all do those hits.
That would be, that would be sick.
Speaking of post, his Shaboozy.
Shaboozy. Come on.
Post performance, uh, at the Grammys for the Ozzy Osie Osbourne Tribute.
Sick.
So freaking sick.
If you guys haven't seen that, go find that on YouTube.
And then who's playing guitar on that?
Slash.
Slash is on it.
And then the drummer for chili pepper?
The guy that looks like Will Ferrell was the drummer.
Is it the chili pepper?
I don't know.
I can't remember.
Do you either the chili peppers?
I think it's the chili peppers.
Okay.
Sick performance.
That was good.
Yeah.
I love Post.
I think he's so talented.
Yeah, he can kind of do it whatever he wants.
He's so sick.
Does he still smoke cigarettes constantly?
I don't think so.
I feel like because he's lost.
weights, you're like, seems like you're healthier now. It's weird. For a minute, I know he was
like sober. He might still be. I'm not really sure, but we saw him last summer and he was on stage
with a solo cup. So I'm like, is this beer? Is this pretend beer? I'm not really sure. He promotes
Bud Light. Yeah, so maybe, I don't know. Right. With the singular. He was sober for a hot minute. I know
he's definitely like cleaning up his act. Yeah. For whatever reason, but love him. He can do no wrong.
Yeah. I'm all for there being just.
just a bunch of white guys up there,
but it's not for you, all right?
Yeah, totally.
It's for your girlfriends who are doing this
out of the goodness of their heart
coming to this stupid party that you dragged them to.
I mean, obviously, if Morgan Wallen did the Super
halftime performance, it would be so sick.
Yeah.
But that would also be kind of controversial, right?
Morgan, well, like, is he?
I mean, I know he's been controversial
on the past, but what's not controversial about Morgan Wallen
are his numbers.
I mean, he is the number one selling artist
across all genres.
releases music.
So, I don't know.
I saw some TikTok.
It was funny.
It was like, if you want to be really big, you got to be a little stupid.
And I was like, okay, I'm with you.
Explain it.
And they're like, you know, you have like Jason Isbell, who's genius.
And his songwriting is amazing.
He's not super famous.
Right.
And you have Zach Brian, a little stupid.
Totally.
But like, like, he's much so much bigger.
He's like doing what Jason's doing, but like not as like high brow.
Yeah.
And I was like.
Yeah.
I can see that.
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah.
I've got a sound for us.
Okay.
So you know whose opinion we don't need yours?
How about that?
Kylie, I like her.
So you know whose opinion we don't need yours?
That's good.
How about that?
I like the Kelsey's.
Yeah.
They seem like good people.
They do.
I'm a little annoyed at the amount of success that they're having.
I mean, sure.
I would like some of it.
Yeah.
But I guess I didn't.
play and win Super Bowls, you know?
Yeah.
But she seems like a cool mom.
She does.
She seems like a no nonsense bitch.
Right?
Yeah.
She was definitely giving that on traitors.
No, no, that's Donna.
Donnie.
You're talking about Kylie?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Definitely.
Like, I think she rules that family with an iron fist.
Oh, for sure.
Yeah.
Even like Jason.
Totally.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Now I like her a lot.
All right.
Well, what's coming up?
Just going to hang out.
I'm going to go see my sister this afternoon, podcast with my mother this week.
Lovely.
And go to Bend and play Winterfest on Friday.
Oregon's the best.
I've never been to Bend.
I've been to Portland, but I've heard great things about Ben.
Nothing better than the Pacific Northwest.
Yeah.
Hey, move to L.A.
I'm not going to move to L.A.
Okay, fine.
Move to California.
Somewhere in California, like, could possibly happen in the future if I hit the lottery.
If you move here, I will build us.
Oh.
A real studio.
Really?
I will.
Okay, well, don't hold your breath because I need to win the lottery.
All right, fine.
I'm just saying.
Okay.
Okay, well.
We leaving?
Yeah, see you next week.
Bye.
Bye!
