Slam goes the door.
Break goes a heart.
Bar goes the truck.
Have you guys heard that Luke Ryan's song?
Or it's just like a bunch of words with verbs.
Oh, it's so bad.
It's terrible.
If I'm being honest with you, it sounds like AI wrote it.
Actually, no, that's rude to me to say that about AI.
AI would come up with something more clever.
Then slam goes the door,
break goes the heart,
car goes the bar,
fart goes the butt.
We're going to talk about that later.
It's the number one comment on that video,
and that's so effing funny.
Fart goes the butt.
Anyways, yeah.
How's everyone doing out there?
Me?
You know, hanging.
Kind of lonely over here.
I got to be honest with.
wife is in Londontown
So I'm alone
Which is fun
Not really a lot of me time
A lot of me time
Really learning about ourselves
And what's inside here
And what I mean by what's inside here
Is what's inside here is
What's inside here is me being lazy on the couch
Oh the other thing
My show got canceled
That was fun
We'll talk about that
I'll tell Brandy all about
I'm sure she knows nothing
That's happening with it
But yeah
A bunch of dudes made a commercial that sucked real hard.
And all it did was screw me over.
Start goes the show.
Long turns the mic.
Call to the brand.
Fist goes the fight.
Let's do.
Let's call her up.
It is time.
Time is now.
Hello.
Is there something behind you?
A window.
It's your reflection. I can see your shirt in the window.
You can? Or it's a ghost.
Oh, yeah, that? Yeah.
Let's just say it's a ghost. That's more fun.
A new ghost. Welcome to the show, Ghost.
I'm freaking wish. That'd be sick.
Speaking of ghosts.
Okay.
I might be a medium, Brandy.
Really?
I don't know that. I don't know. But listen to this video.
This lady on TikTok is a medium and she had this to say.
Okay.
Do you sometimes hear muffled music while you're getting ready to fall asleep at night?
If you do, stick around.
My name is Christina. I go by Christina the medium here on TikTok, and this is something that I hear very commonly.
I mean, look, she's not, she's small, but whatever.
Why, but when I'm falling asleep at night, I'll hear this muffled music playing in the distance in our room, but there's no radio is playing.
What is this, Christina?
Yeah, what is it, Christina?
Very often, if you've had this experience, this means that you are very clear audience.
you have the ability to clearly hear into the spirit.
Clear audience.
Very often you're catching some of the music from the other side.
Oh.
Have you ever had this experience?
Let me know in the comments.
I have, Christina.
Okay.
Do you do this?
Yeah.
Does this never happen to you?
No.
I sleep with a sound machine, though, you know, like white noise, so.
Yeah, I actually do that too.
And you hear it through the white noise?
It doesn't happen all the time, but a lot of time I'll hear music, like right before I'm falling asleep.
Really?
Yeah.
And I...
Like classical or...
I don't even know.
I mean, I don't know.
It's just music.
I thought this was like something that everyone did.
Oh, no, definitely not.
Well, anyways, apparently I'm hearing music from the other side or it's just my brain doing weird shit because I'm about to start dreaming, you know?
Yeah.
I mean, I have like tinnitus or whatever where my ears just ring all the time.
Yeah, I got that in my right ear.
Yeah, it's not great.
Cool, dude.
Not great, I tell you.
Speaking of the other side, I don't want to start with such a sad topic.
Ugh.
But Miley's godmother is no longer with us in Dolly Parton.
What a sad freaking weak it was.
I know.
Dolly Parton and Tim Curry.
So sad.
I hate to say it.
I feel like there's been a lot of death lately.
Well, I think it's just, you know, there's death probably all the time.
But here's the thing.
It happens in threes.
usually. And so you got Dolly, then Tim Curry. Also, shout out to Tim Curry and like his family
or his estate because he died on the same day of Dolly Parton and his estate was like, we want to be
respectful and not like also have like another death on the same day. And so they waited a day
to tell everyone. Yeah. Which I thought was really sweet. But we lost an icon. Literally the only
person I think that everyone in America genuinely loves. I know. I know. And like,
80s like not that old you know like god it's just so crazy and I think like it was a shock to me even
though I knew like I think we all knew that she was having health issues right she's had to cancel some
things and she's kind of come out and said like my doctor has you know asked me to not do xyz or
whatever not travel so I like obviously she wasn't doing the best but I don't think anyone
expected her to like die so quickly like publicly anyway and so yeah
I just, man, it was a shock to me.
Like when I, the first text I got about it, I was just like, holy shit, there's no way, you know?
And yeah, it was just such a sad day.
Like, I wasn't anywhere near as close with Dolly as Miley or even like Noah.
I think spent a little more time with her than I did.
Obviously, she and Miley were just so close, like, so close.
And she was like the person Miley went to about everything, like for advice, whether it was
music or relationship advice or, you know, family, like any of it, she would go to Dolly.
And I think, you know, this is definitely a huge loss for Mile.
And it's such a hard time too.
I think, you know, she's, I don't know, just that's such a good place in life.
And then to lose someone like that is such a like puts a darkness over it, you know?
But if I know Miley, I know that she will find a way to make good out of it, right, the way Dolly would have wanted.
And, yeah, I'm curious to see just kind of how when she does speak, if she does,
speak publicly and when she does kind of like how how she handles it what she asked to say obviously
she put out the Instagram post but I think eventually she'll probably be in a position to say something
you know in person about it so just so sad and even though I didn't know Dolly as well and didn't
spend as much time with her it still just hit me like really hard you know I I feel like I've
been super grateful to not have a like very much death like close to me I mean my grandmother was
the was the big one for me my grandmother helped raise me and when she died that was like
the first time I really experienced, like, personal loss.
Even though I wasn't as close with Dolly, like this one hit hard, it just was like really, really sad.
Like a really, really sad week.
Yeah.
Well, I recognize that you're not as close to her as your sister, but you are one of the rare few people that did know her, right?
Like, you spent time with her.
I never was inside her orbit.
And I imagine that was a pretty magical thing to be a part of.
Yeah.
She's just incredible.
Like, she just makes everyone feel so love.
loved, you know. She's one of those people that I'm sure, like, never met a stranger. And she just
really did have, like, so much light and so much amazing energy. Like, I think the most I was
around her was probably on the Hannah Montana set when she had her guest starring role. And God,
she just brought so much incredible energy to that set, which it was a set that already had good
energy. But man, like, Dolly really just came in, you know, firing on all cylinders and made,
made it just so fun and made everyone feel, you know, so appreciated and so loved. And,
she really was just so special. I just, yeah, words can't really explain it. But I think it's
reflected in like how everyone's, you know, speaking of her this week and, and everything. I think,
you're right. I think like she is just like one of those rare people that no one dislikes.
Like no one has anything bad to say about Dolly, you know? Yeah, I think, I think literally it was
Betty White and then she passed and then Doll. And I don't. And I don't.
think there's anyone left. And she did a smart thing. She never talked about politics. She never
allowed anyone to get angry at her. Pretty crazy. It's like such like a like a talent to be able
to do that. It's an old school thing. I remember Elvis was the same way. He would be like,
I'm not, I'm an entertainer. I'm not, I'm not a politician, you know. Have you ever seen the
clip of Dolly playing the Johnny Carson song and the Johnny Carson show? I don't know if I have seen
that. Okay, I want to play it because it's... I've seen her playing Jolene on her fingernails and it's everything.
Yeah. I love it so much. She also was to suit. What I like really loved about her is how self-aware she was.
Like she knew people would make fun of her big boobs and you know, like the dumb blonde thing. And she would be like, I don't mind people call me a dumb blonde because that's not my real hair color.
You know, like she was so self-aware and so smart and was able to be self-deprecating. So,
quick. She was just so smart and so funny that like no one could get anything on her,
which is just insane. You don't see this anymore on late night shows of people coming to a show
with something like this. So this is, I think, one of the last shows Johnny Carson was going to do,
right? And he was just a staple for so many people for so long. And so she came on the show and
she's saying this song. I was only like the show. Well, I think other people do a good job,
but I only really like to watch it when you're on.
And I don't call it the Tonight Show.
To me, it's the Johnny Carson Show.
Oh, you're saying all that ready.
No, I'm serious.
You want to do that for you?
No, I'm going to pick it a little as good as I can with these nails.
But it's all in the words, and it's, you know, I think it is.
Now, it's not supposed to be too serious, so.
From the hills of Tennessee, and I've worked hard to make the folks back home real proud of me.
Now everybody knows my name
No matter where I go
But I never really made it
Till the Johnny Carson show
Startum since I was just a kid
A million dollar dream
Beneath this $13 wig
In my bell bottom jumpsuits
With my rhinestones all aglow
I became an overnight success
From the Johnny Carson show
From polyester paradigm
to silk and satin frills
From a 48-foot mobile home
To a mansion on the hill
Rumbling from a packard to a rose
But I never really made it
Till the Johnny Carson show
Now there's only one small problem
Sometimes I get disturbed
But folks sometimes get me confused
With Monty Rock the third
But still I think it's worth it
And I just thought you should know
that I'll always owe a special thanks to the Johnny Carson Show.
I went coach to fur from Kmart to Gucci's from here, no telling where.
From Hillbilly Heaven to a pet house on the coast.
But I never really made it till the Johnny Carson Show.
Oh my God, so good.
Even just playing the fucking guitar with those nails is insane.
Like, that's so hard.
It's a full song with like with a bridge.
And she wrote it just to like go play on that show that night to like say goodbye to him.
Like so.
So cool.
So good.
It's even funny.
She like forgets the lyric for a second.
But then like picks a bit like 10 out of 10.
I know.
Bummer.
And yeah, there's like not many people that can do that these days, you know, go sit with a guitar and sing like that and town like that.
And I mean, she truly was one of a kind.
and there just won't be another liker, you know.
Yeah.
I did see that they're renaming the BN Air Airport.
Love it.
Love it.
Yeah.
So much.
I kind of wish, I don't think they'll do this because I'm sure like it's set or whatever,
but I wish that they would change the call letters from BNA to like, I know,
DLY.
I bet they will.
You think so?
Well, you know they just changed the West Palm Beach Airport to Donald Trump International.
Yeah, okay.
It's so fucking stupid.
And they changed it.
It was PBI and now it's DJT.
Oh, so they can change the thing.
So I think they will change.
If they change the name of the airport,
I think that it will change.
Yeah.
Well, listen, New York's got JFK.
I've never liked BNA.
It never made sense to me anyway.
Well, it's something Nashville airport.
But like, yeah, I'm just like,
MNA can go.
Yeah.
But also is JFK, is it named after?
John F. Kennedy? Or is that's just the letters?
It is? No, it's Kennedy. Yeah, Kennedy Airport. Kennedy. Okay, okay. Well, anyways,
I think that's pretty awesome. And also, what did you say? Tampa? Palm Beach. Yeah.
Nashville's cool, word in West Palm Beach. I don't care. I don't care about that. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Whatever. Anyways, please extend my condolences to your family. I know you guys are all
close and it's funny. At my golf club, we're flying half-mast and everyone's like, why are we flying
half-mast? Like, what happened, you know? Because now when you think of half-mash, you're like,
well, there was a war or there was a school shooting or like, you know, like something, you know, like that.
And I was like, I'm pretty sure it's because of Dolly.
And everyone's like, no fucking way.
That's so cool.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Brandy, I know one thing that you love.
What's that?
Zazzle.
I do.
I love Zazzle.
You're a Zazzle girl.
I am.
Dude, you are terrible at gift giving.
I will admit that.
I've known you for the better part of a decade.
And you're just not good.
giving people gifts, but Zazzle's helped you out.
It has. Okay, I'm not great at it because, like, I'm not good at gift ideas.
And this is why I love Zazel. They have so many gift ideas, you guys.
Like, who doesn't love a personalized item? Everyone does, whether it's personalized,
like with your name or, you know me, I love to personalize anything for the animals,
the dogs, the horses. Zazel has this custom marketplace where you can customize any product.
So if Sarah need a coffee mug with Boo's face,
Zazel can make it happen. You know what I'm saying? Like they have everything. You can browse millions of
designs or start from scratch and build something completely your own. It truly is incredible.
Everything is on demand. So there's no out of stock this, out of stock that you pick it,
customize it, and it's done. I'm such a huge fan. So if you guys have any gifts that you need to
buy or honestly, you just want to buy something for yourself. You should check out Zazzle.

Anywho, do you want to start the show?
I know we kind of started like an bummer,
but...
Yeah, we could start the show.
Me or you?
I don't know.
Bro.
Hose and Hose you're listening to your favorite thing podcast with.
Fos and Brandy.
Well, to keep this a depressing podcast, I've got some depressing news.
Okay, I don't love that.
I was so excited about the show the big break coming back that I was hosting for the Golf Channel.
Yeah.
Did you see that?
But you knew that I was hosting it.
Yeah.
So I had to go out to New York to do press for it.
So I go out to New York.
and I'm getting on the plane,
I get a message from the PR people at Golf Channel
being like, hey, so the big break we teamed up
with this like YouTube channel called Good Good.
I don't know if you're familiar.
This is amazing that like you have no idea what I'm talking about.
Anyways, they do this.
They're a YouTube channel mainly for like really young,
young kids that they play golf and they're extremely popular.
So they were a part of the show.
Like we had two of the guys from Good Good.
team captains, and so they're a big part of the show.
Anyways, like a week before Big Break is supposed to premiere,
these guys put out an ad in collaboration with Callaway,
which is a driver company or like a golf manufacturer.
Basically, it's supposed to be a spoof on the show obsession,
but really it's not.
I guess it could be, but it's just a bad commercial.
And that starts out with like the main guy, this guy named Garrett,
and this other girl, I think her name's Alexis.
And so Alexis just like walks over to his back.
his golf bag and she goes to touch his driver, get the driver, which is the new good, good Callaway
driver collaboration.
And he runs over and he tackles her or like knocks her to the ground.
And then like kind of standing over, he goes like, don't touch my driver or something like that.
And so I guess it's supposed to be like this reference to obsession, which is so niche
anyways.
Like I know it's a big movie, but like not everyone has seen that.
So like being able to connect those is not great.
And then so obviously there's this huge backlash of like this is like domestic violence.
and this is fucked up.
I don't think they handled it very well from the get-go.
They took the video down,
then Calloway kind of separated themselves from it
and took a while for Garrett to do that kind of an apology video,
and it just kind of like caught fire on social media,
and it was just like, let's cancel these motherfuckers
because this is like supporting domestic violence in a sport
that's like notorious for like wanting to keep women out.
da-da-da-da-da-da-da. Anyways, they're supposed to be hosting a PGA tournament in Austin in November,
and that was kind of one of the prizes for Big Break. If you won, you got to play in this tournament, right?
Well, the PGA tour is like, we're cutting ties, we're getting a new sponsor, you're out.
Calloway goes, you know what, we are done with you guys. We are stopping our collaboration with you guys.
Golf Galaxy, Dick Sporting Goods, and Costco all remove all the good.
good good stuff and all the Callaway stuff.
Or maybe just the good stuff.
I don't know.
But I know Costco is no longer selling Callaway clubs.
Damn.
There's so much drama in the golf world.
So much drama.
So anyway, so I go to New York with them being like, hey, they made this commercial.
You might, I'm not having to do like Good Morning America and the Today Show and like all this shit.
And they're like, you might have to talk about it.
And I was like, what the fuck, dude?
First of all, I don't work for good good, you know?
I'm the host of the show.
Like, why do I have to be the one that has to answer this stuff?
Right.
Right.
So anyways, I get some media trained to answer.
Luckily, it really never kind of comes up because it's like morning TV.
No one wants to like get into the weeds of domestic violence at 8 in the morning, you know?
And that really comes up and I'm like, oh, this sucks.
And I'm like, you know, like tomorrow it'll be another thing and we can just move on.
Well, on the way back, I'm like on the plane and they're like, hey, we're going to push the air date of the show.
a week because we need to scrub all the sponsors that no longer want to be a part of this,
which was Calloway and Good Good.
Dang.
Or Calloway and Gulf Galaxy.
So I'm like, all right.
So then I come home and I record a bunch of ADR, which is like voiceover stuff to like cover
the problem.
Like we've got some new sponsor and like we're not saying good, good and all this stuff.
And then, yeah, Sunday rolls around because it's supposed to, or maybe Monday rolls
around.
We're supposed to air on Tuesday.
And I get a call being like, hey, we got to cut ties with this.
We can't be the last people that are still supporting this.
And we're going to have to cancel the show.
Or not cancel it, but like it's just not going to air.
You're kidding.
I'm not kidding.
That's crazy.
And you know what's funny?
I was thinking about it, regardless of how you feel about it, the bummer for me is,
is like so many.
Well, so the show went off air for 11 years and like people in the golf channel like
fought for it to come back.
Yeah.
So, and we, we made the show with the, with the crew from the original show.
Like, he was all, they were all older dudes because they had, and women, from back of the day, right?
They started airing 31 years ago or something like that.
And my heart breaks for the crew that, like, fought for this to come back.
And now this happens.
And then my heart also breaks for the kids who got to be on the show.
And now it's never going to see the light of day.
I mean, I think they all thought that, like, their lives were going to change.
You know, they were all going to be the next golfing clothes.
just like push it until all this stuff got figured out.
I don't know.
I think they were like, we can't be the last people still supporting this.
That's a bad look because a PGA tour had cut ties, golf galaxy had cut ties,
Callaway had cut ties.
And I'm sure like the golf channel was like, we don't want this.
But here's what I was thinking about.
I was like, you know, I didn't do Paradise this year because they hired someone.
That was a risk.
and it was a gamble, right, in Taylor Frankie Paul.
And she kind of went and did what Taylor Frankie Paul does, I guess.
And it completely lampooned the show.
And then same thing here.
They kind of get in bed with this good, good crew.
A little bit of a wild card, you know, I don't know if you know what's come of it all.
Sure.
Cancel.
So, you know, my agent calls me and they're like, fuck, I'm sorry, do this sucks.
Like, what can you do?
And I was like, you know what?
I'd love a show to be cancel.
canceled one time because of something I did, you know?
Would you?
No, but I'm like, what is happening around me?
I know, I know.
But that's like the joke of like, what has happened?
Like, I have done nothing wrong and I keep on getting fucked over by other people.
Yeah.
So.
Well, shit, Wells.
I hate that.
I know.
It's a bummer.
Yeah, massive bummer.
I know you were really excited about that show.
I was.
And I think like the golf world was really excited.
about it too.
Yeah.
So anyways, that happens.
But you know what?
Sela V, man, that's show business.
It is, I guess.
I guess, I don't know.
Wow, that's depressing.
Isn't it, though?
Speaking of depressing, Furious is phenomenal.
It's so good.
So good.
Are you all caught up?
Yes, waiting on that finale.
I know.
Waiting on that finale.
You know, I knew that the daughter was sketched.
Oh, of course.
She's...
Everyone knew.
She's Galane Maxwell.
Yeah, totally.
And she's going to be the one that goes down because that old motherfucker is just going to die.
Yeah.
And she's going to take the fall for that piece of garbage.
Which, it sounds like she should.
A hundred percent.
But also that guy should...
That guy should get killed by the girl.
Well, which looks like that might happen.
I know.
Okay, I'm going to prognosticate here.
This is going to come out.
the day that it airs.
So, yeah, whatever.
I wouldn't be surprised if Emmy's the one who kills him.
That could be good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Because she's on those tapes.
She is.
But I wouldn't be surprised if that happens and then, and whatever.
Yeah.
Great show.
So good.
So good.
They renewed it for season two.
I know, but how do you keep going with that?
I guess that world might get deeper.
It also might just switch lanes of like Emmys like,
I'm going to start fucking killing all.
all the other people that are a part of this and like it just becomes Dexter.
Yeah, there's a few ways it could go.
Yeah.
It's so Epstein-coded that I love it because it's like, what happened to that?
Why do we?
Speaking of Epstein, Matt showed me, you know, like every six months,
I feel like they find a new Jeffrey Epstein that's still alive.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, there's one in Florida.
Have you seen the ones in Florida?
Yeah.
It's pretty, they look exactly like them.
Yeah, for sure.
It's pretty fucking crazy.
But like, what was Jeffrey Epstein?
He was like kind of a handsome Jewish guy.
I mean, yeah.
They got plenty of them down in Florida.
That's all Florida is.
Retired, rich, old Jewish guys who used to live in New York.
Yeah.
There's one where he's like driving a convertible and someone's like, holy shit,
have you seen that video?
No, I know.
Yeah.
I don't have anything to say about Furious other than if.
you're not watching it, you're a crazy person and go watch it on Hulu right now. Yeah, it's
incredible. Best show that's come out a long time. You guys, I know it's August, but fall is so
close. I can almost feel it. I have officially started fall wardrobe shopping. I am done with
summer clothes. And as you guys know, one of my favorite places to online shop is Quince. I love that
Quince does elevated everyday essentials using premium materials, anything from like basic teas and
tanks. They have an organic cotton collection that I'm obsessed with. But when it comes to fall and
transitioning into winter, I am so in love with their Mongolian cashmere sweaters. Get this,
they start at just $50. So you're getting something super luxurious, but at a completely
acceptable price point. So you're getting luxury, but without that luxury price tag.
Quince truly has something for everyone, whether you're looking for denim, leather bags, they've got
footwear, they have jewelry, they even have home items. So when I start stocking the house with
sheets and towels, like Quince is such a good place to shop for those things. The prices are just so
good for the quality of products that you're getting. So if you want to find fall pieces that you'll
reach for most at Quince, download the Quince app for an app exclusive offer. Just go to quince.com
slash YFT. You'll get free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. It's now available in Canada
and the UK 2.
That's Quince,
Q-U-I-N-C-E dot com slash Y-F-D.
Are you excited about the return of dark matter?
I am.
I've already watched the first episode of you.
Me too, yes.
Great.
Love that.
I'm confused, though.
Is the guy that she kills the original guy?
No.
She's with the original guy.
She's with the OG.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Remember because he knew the safe word or whatever at the end of season one.
I forget what it was.
I think pineapple?
Possible.
That's everyone's safe word, I feel like.
Yeah, that's true.
But he knew that, the safe word.
And then they made a new safe word, remember?
And so when the, yeah, Fiki came in,
she was like, say it, say it, whatever.
Yeah, it's so good.
Like, I mean, we all know this was my favorite book of all time.
I know.
But it's just such a good show.
And the cast is so good.
I'm so curious to see, like, how this plays out.
I feel like I'm excited to see more of,
I forget the actor's name,
but the guy that plays the door.
The quirky guy that was in Westworld. What's his name? I don't know, but I met him on my press
tour for the show that got canceled. Oh. He's also in like always sunny in Philadelphia. He's
freaking hilarious. Yeah, he's so good. Jimmy Simpson. That's right. Jimmy Simpson. He plays Ryan Holder.
Yeah, I'm excited to see more about like his storyline and like his experience in that other world or
whatnot. And then it seemed like at the very end there of the first episode, it's, that's the world that
he opened the door to, right?
The world that Ryan, he left Ryan in.
Yes.
Very interesting.
Which like in the...
I feel like that would be a great way.
Like, why?
I mean, I feel like they could smooth things over.
Yeah.
Also, the world's big.
How would you ever find anybody?
But true.
In the book, I think that world is like extremely perfect.
Yeah.
I feel like at the end of it, it was like technologically advanced and like per, like,
when I was doing like the Today Show, Jimmy was like the interview.
was like the interview before me.
So we were like out.
You know, they put you in those chairs that's like kind of out on set, but not the main focal
point.
So then when they go to commercial, it's like, and coming up next, the hosts of big break that's
going to be fucking canceled, Wells and Blair.
And then you're like, you like, you like wave, you know, and like, oh, no, keep watching
for me.
So I was listening to his interview and he was like, dude, he didn't say dude.
He's very well-spoken.
He was talking about how he's a huge fan of Blake Crouch.
He said that Blake Crouch is he writes all the episodes.
He does the screenplay.
And I think he's show running as well.
Oh, wow.
That's why it's so good.
Yeah.
And he was like, you know, I love the book.
He's like, the second season doesn't exist.
There is no book for the second season,
but it's all his ideas that he was going to make into a book,
but now he's just writing it for the show.
Yeah.
Which.
Genius.
I kind of like.
Also, Jennifer Conley can.
Get it, dude.
Oh, I love her so much.
Oh, man.
She's still so hot.
I know.
She looks great.
Yeah.
She's incredible.
But yeah, such a good show.
I'm mad because Matt never watched season one.
Oh, yeah.
And he's like, can we just, can you just wait?
And we go watch this and I said, no, no, we can't wait.
So sorry.
Yeah.
You need to do some homework, bud.
Yeah, you can go watch that on your own time.
Speaking of Blake Crouch, I started reading a new Blake Crouch novel.
And by reading, yes, I'm listening to it.
You're listening. Is it a new new or is it just new to you?
I don't know. I just was looking for a new book, 2004.
Oh, it's his debut novel.
What's it called? Desert Places.
Oh, I haven't read that.
A novel of terror.
The story follows Andrew Z. Thomas, a successful suspense thriller writer, living peacefully at a lakehouse in North Carolina.
His life shatters when he receives a horrifying letter from an anonymous killer.
claiming a body covered in Andrew's blood is buried on his property.
Andrew is forced into a deadly game of cat and mouse
where an unknown mastermind attempts to dictate his future.
Insanity. Desert places, a novel of terror.
It like starts with him like he's on his property.
He finds this note and the notes like,
hey, by the way, left the dead body on the shoreline by your house.
I marked it with a little flag.
So he's like, fuck, okay.
And so he walks over there and is like,
oh, this is a real dead body.
A woman's like really decomposed.
So by the way, if you call the cops and tell them and I did this,
I'm going to send an anonymous call into the police.
And I'm going to let them know where the knife is.
I've hidden it in your house.
And you need to call me on this number.
And if you don't, I'm going to call the cops on you
and they're going to find a dead body in your house.
So he's kind of put between a rock and a hard place.
I'm like right in the beginning.
But it's pretty fun so far.
Pretty good?
Yeah, I like it.
Okay. Sick. Yeah. I'm still reading Fourth Wing. I'm almost done. Oh. Not Fourth Wing. Onyx Storm.
Yeah. The third book in the series of Fourth Wing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. This one's like just a, it's just a lot of, I don't know, like, filler pages. I don't know. It's just harder to like stay locked into this one. Yeah.
Yeah, not as much action, I feel like, but still good. Are you caught up on silo?
Not really.
Yeah, I am.
It's been a harder one for me to stay in, too.
And Matt doesn't watch it, so it's hard to.
Yeah, it's annoying because, like, the entire first season, is this the third season?
This is season three, yeah.
Yeah, so the entire second season, you got to deal with her being in the other silo and, like, learning all the stuff and everything.
And then they kind of pull some bullshit where they're like, guess what?
Now she has no memory.
And you're like, okay, we're back at square one.
Yeah, like, it was all for nothing.
Yeah.
And so anyways, now that, you know, like later in the season, she gets her memory back, which is, which is nice.
I tell you the thing that I like the most is when they go back in time and they like, you see how they're building the silos and why they're doing it.
And this most recent episode is pretty great because you see how basically the world ends in it.
I'm not there yet.
Yeah.
Okay.
But I still like it.
Yeah.
I mean, I did too.
I like it.
I like it.
But I like love season one.
So I'm just like I'm not loving it quite as much, but I think common's a terrible actor and
Who common?
Oh, yeah.
He's real bad.
And I think that they started to realize that he's real bad and that's why they made his wife be
basically his job.
Oh, you think?
I think so.
I think they were like, we got to, we got to cut him out of this.
We got to.
This is bad news bears.
Yeah.
You know what I did love.
What'd you love?
I went and saw The Odyssey.
Oh, yeah.
So fucking good.
Yeah.
Great.
So fucking good.
I don't know like what I was expected.
I think I should.
I don't know what I was expecting because like I know Christopher Nolan's shit.
Like I've seen his movies and I did read the book in school.
I mean obviously that was a long time ago.
And so I didn't really fully remember all of it.
But like there were some pretty dark and heavy fucking scenes in this movie.
Like Matt and I both were like fuck.
Like that was nuts.
And I had crazy dreams that night after we saw it.
I think like the scene where like going by the eye.
island and it like the thing like reaches down and was grabbing the like that like fucked me up.
I had horrible nightmares about that. And Matt was super fucked up over the pig scene.
Oh yes. That's a grer. That was fucking crazy. Yeah, that was great. That was great. Crazy.
What about the, um, the cyclops? Yeah. Yeah. It was crazy. I know. But yeah, it was really good.
I, um, like, listen, I could have done without Zendaya. She was kind of the weak link for me. I liked Tom Holland a lot.
I know you were saying you liked Robert Pattinson better,
but I didn't,
there wasn't like enough of Rob Pattinson's character
for me to be like, yeah, he was a standout.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Also, I just see Edward Cullen.
I can't help it.
Did you think John Leguizamo was the standout?
That's what I thought.
He was amazing, of course.
I walked away and being like,
holy shit, that was really good.
Yeah.
And then like, I mean,
Matt Damon really is incredible.
Like, for someone that is like such a recognizable name and face
and somebody that you've seen and so many things.
Like, I'm still able to get lost in his character, which is, that's, I feel like at this point, in his career saying a lot.
Yeah.
Really great film.
But do you think it's your favorite?
No, it's not my favorite.
But I did really enjoy it.
I liked it a lot more than I thought I would.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, I think Inception is just maybe.
A dream within a dream's dream?
Still my favorite.
Or An Interstellar, obviously.
Yeah, interstellar, obviously.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, those two are my faves, I think.
And Dark Knight was good, but I just liked the other two better, I think.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was good.
Oh, good.
I'm glad you.
Have you guys watched Obsession?
No, we haven't.
You got to watch it.
I'm telling you.
I know.
We do.
We haven't watched a ton of TV together.
I feel like Matt's been working so hard on our house.
And then we've been doing some traveling.
But I did start.
I've been meaning to start this for so long.
There's a new Amazon Prime show called Sterling Point.
Do you know about this?
No.
Shout out to Megan Park.
Do you know who Megan Park is?
No.
She's the director of this show.
She directed,
that movie with Jenna Ortega.
She directed, she might have written it as well.
This movie The Fallout with Jenna Ortega.
It won tons of awards.
It was so good.
It was just very powerful, emotional, like such a good movie.
And it was like her breakout film.
So backstory year, Megan Park and I used to be best friends.
We were roommates when I lived in L.A.
When I was young.
And she was on a show called The Secret Life of the American Teenager
when she was young with Shea Woodley.
like they were on that show together when I was living with Megan.
And Megan was in my band when we first started it, Frank and Daryl.
And then after like a year of the band, she said she wanted to focus on acting.
And so Cody and I went on without her.
And Megan went on to do some acting.
And I always knew that like her goal was to direct back then.
And she is fucking doing it and she's fucking killing it.
Like it's so impressive.
I'm so proud of her.
She's having so much success.
I mean, the fallout was huge.
She got so much recognition for that.
And then she did a movie called.
my old ass. I feel like you watched that one with Macy, Stella and Aubrey Plaza that came out a
couple years ago. That one was great. And now she's got this show called Sterling Point that's on
Amazon Prime. Josh Schwartz is producing it. Margot Robbie's producing it. Tom Ackereling,
Margot Robbie's husband, like huge names behind this show. And Megan is directing. She created it and
wrote it. And it is so, so, so good. It's one of those coming of age stories. It's about like
something, you know, a couple of teenagers or whatnot. But the same.
story is really cool. It's about like this girl's the main character and she finds out like when
her grandfather dies, she finds out that he's left her basically his entire like estate or whatever.
And he owns this island in Canada that she's never been to. And she goes there and discovers that
she's got like family she didn't know about. And like all the, there's like all this stuff on
unfolding about her past and about her mom's past that she never knew. And it's just like it's very,
It's a very unique story.
It's really good.
It's got like a little bit of an outer banks vibe to it,
just with all these kids and they live on the water and they work on the water.
And there's like that whole vibe.
But I'm only a couple episodes in, but it's just so good.
Like if you like Outer Banks or the summer I turned pretty or off campus,
like any of those, like young YA coming of age shows.
Like this one's so good.
You guys got to watch it.
Annie and her twin brother raised in New York by their single father,
discover their estranged grandfather bequeath them a lake island.
They got an island?
They got a whole island.
Damn.
Yeah.
And I guess the island's called Stirling Point.
It is.
All right.
Well, congratulations on your friend Megan Park.
I'm so happy for her.
Like, she's fucking killing it.
Do you text her about it?
I'm like, yeah, I'm watching Sterling Point.
I texted her last year.
What was about,
I think about mild ass or whatever year that came out.
I need to hit her up though and just tell her like,
I'm so proud of her.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I watched a pretty scary movie.
Is it the one on Netflix with the...
No.
The Whisper Man?
No, I'm waiting to...
Because it's terrifying.
Yeah.
Did you watch it?
We started it last night before bed,
which is a horrible mistake.
I was like, I had to turn this off.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I looked at the trailer and I was like,
nah, this is not.
I can't do this right before I go to bed.
Nope, I have to watch that during the daylight hours.
Yeah.
I watched a show a movie called The Apostle.
Okay.
In 1905, a drifter on a dangerous mission to rescue his kidnapped sister,
tangles with a sinister religious cult on an isolated island.
Ooh.
Apostle.
So, yeah, there's just, like, weird, and the cast is insane.
Dan Stevens, oh, Michael Sheens, the main guy, he's like the cult leader.
Yeah, this girl goes to this cult, and effectively the cult needs some money.
So they ask for a ransom to have the sister come back.
And so the dad sends the son there.
And yeah, it's pretty messed up.
And it's pretty like supernatural and creepy.
It's a lot of murder.
And religious, weird, weird religious shits going on.
And it is very good.
I enjoyed it.
Do you watch this?
Netflix.
Netflix.
Okay.
So yeah, if you want a spooky, a spooky one.
I was thinking the other day, like, why is all this spooky shit coming out?
It's because it's almost Halloween.
Yeah, that's true.
It's also like the only thing that's working, I feel like.
Yeah.
It's kind of, what was that, M-night Shammala-a-ding-dong one, the village.
The village, yeah.
It's kind of village-coded.
Okay.
And then I got something that sucks hard, and I don't understand why it's still a thing.
Okay.
Avatar, fire an ice.
Dude, shut up with this.
I don't even know which one we're on, all right?
But I put it on on that plane flight back from New York after I learned that my shit was getting canceled.
And I was just like, this is so bad.
Oh, no.
And you can tell they put so much money into it and everything.
But like, it's so, so incredibly bad that I don't know why we're still doing this.
Well, that's what sucks is like Avatar one and even the second one, like so fucking good.
Yeah.
It's like, why are you guys ruining something?
such a good thing. There's going to be like two more of them, I'm sure. It's so crazy. Yeah. So anyways,
don't see that. Bummer. Are you seeing all this Luke Bryan hate on social media?
No. Why are they hating?
Okay, first off, he's got this song right now. It's just like a bunch of nouns and verbs. I'm not sure
if you've heard it, but it's like, bang goes the gun, bar goes the truck, break goes the
heart. It's just
terrible. And I feel like, yeah, yeah, I wrote it, but
then that's doing justice to
AI. Anyways, he put out this video
and it's on his TikTok.
I'll play a little bit of it for you. Yeah, let's see it.
Slam goes
the door. It goes the
hearts. To the bar
goes the truck.
Anyways, that's, I don't want to play too much of it because I feel like
we're going to get flagged, but it's like, it's just
a terrible, dumb
song. And the
number one comment,
is what I just really love.
The number one comment, it's got like 65,000 likes in this comment is fart goes the butt.
Oh, my God.
I want to see who wrote the song.
So the best one is fart goes the butt.
It's got 63,000 likes.
These goes nuts.
A chew goes the sneeze.
This album's not even out.
This song's not even out yet.
Skip goes the song.
Pop goes the weasel.
Oh my God.
Down goes the volume.
Just came here for fart goes the butt.
Hell goes the no.
Slam goes the clam.
Block goes the button.
Boo goes the crowd.
I mean.
Fargo's the butt
It's so
funny
As soon as that song
comes out
I'm going to look up
who wrote it
because I know
a lot of these
writers that do
these songs
That's so mean

We're comparing truck nuts

and then we all go and bang our mothers

It's just videos of him singing

Chicken penis macaroni.
This is,

Why do these guys have to wear such tight jeans?
I just don't get it. I don't know.
But anyways, fart
goes the butt. Yeah.
That needs to be the name of this episode. Fark goes the butt.
Wow.
Slam goes the door.
Bar goes the truck.
Gun goes the head.
Fart goes the butt.
You can't put that in there.
Why?
That song makes you want to kill myself.
Wells, you can't say that.
Okay.
It's not PC.
I'm trying to get canceled over here,
but apparently I'm a nice guy,
but everything I do gets canceled for other people.
Right.
All right.
What do you got coming up?
Well, on that note,
Matt and I are finally actually
moving into this fucking house this week.
Nice.
Yep.
I want a full tour.
I'll give you a full tour, but no one's getting any reveals for quite a while because something
tells me it's going to be a shit show for the first few weeks that we're in here.
But that's part of it.
I want to know.
I want to see all the bad and the good.
Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong as far as this renovation goes.
Our fucking painter quit on Friday.
And like we're just so fucking close to the shit being done.
And people either quit or have other jobs they have to go to before they finish hours.
like it's just constant and our painter literally quit mid job so matt and i might have to get in there
and paint the entire fucking house it needs one more coat on all the walls thank god the ceilings are
done but like a whole house needs one more coat on the walls and this guy just quit so
matt and i are probably going to be painting for the next couple of days which isn't great we still
don't have plumbing fixtures they're supposed to get installed this week we'll fucking see like it's
just been chaos so anyway we will be moved in but i can't promise you guys that my backdrop's
going to be any better because my office isn't finished and now that we're we're
we have to paint the whole house. My office isn't going to get on. So we're just going to have to
see. But at least it'll be nice to be like moved because I've been living out of suitcases for about
a month and a half and it's been hard and just boxes. And I just can't find anything. And it's terrible.
So we're finally going to at least do the move. But it's going to be a hard week. So not looking
forward to that. But yeah, for the next two weeks, like that's what I'll be doing is moving and getting
settled into this new house. And then in a couple weeks, Matt and I are going to go to Boise for our annual
trip to Idaho for a motorcycle show and it's Matt's birthday and we're just going to go to the show
and hang with his friends and do stuff for his birthday, which should be fun. And then I think I'll be out
in L.A. right after that. Nice. Yeah. What are you doing now that you're unemployed? Unemployed again.
I got more golf stuff. I'm going up to Pebble Beach to play in a thing called the crew cup,
which I'm very excited about. I think I was invited to this by mistake, Brandy. I don't think I was,
I don't think I was, I think they think I'm somebody else. Okay. Okay. Well, just go with it.
Steph Curry's on my team.
Ben Rothesburg is on my team.
Okay.
Jason Kids on my team.
Great.
Drew Breeze is on my team.
I don't know who that is.
Nate Bargotsie is on my team.
I don't, I don't, you know that Sesame Street thing where it's like, one of these things is not like the other.
I don't know.
Such imposter syndrome.
And they're like, hey, you're going to give it, since you're a rookie, you're going to give a speech and like say who you are.
And I was like, I don't know if I should stand up and be like, I don't know why you guys invited me to this.
I'm Wells Adams and I'm canceled.
Yeah, I only do shows that get canceled by other people for some reason.
But anyway, so I'm excited about that.
I get to play Hippo Beach, which is, you know, my favorite golf course ever.
Well, top three.
I love it.
Yeah.
So anyways, that's what I got going on.
Okay.
All right.
Well, FAR goes the butt.
Yep.
End goes the show.
And goes the show.
End goes the show.
All right.
See you later.
Bye.
