Starting point is 00:00:00 Alright, there's a lot of talk these days about how our health starts in our gut, but if you're a woman, it all starts with your hormones. And as I get older, I am truly learning that. When your hormones are off, everything is off, including digestive issues, mood, mental clarity, energy levels, and so much more. And the older I get, the more I realize that I need to get a handle on my hormones sooner than later. If you guys aren't familiar, Hormone Harmony is a game-changer for women struggling with hormonal imbalances that leave them exhausted both physically and mentally. It only contains science-based ingredients that bring back comfort, energy, clarity, confidence, and a sense of balance. Hormone Harmony has over 50,000 raving reviews from women all over the world,
Starting point is 00:00:46 with 98% of them saying that they're glad they recommended it to their friends and family. What makes this formula like anything else in the market is that it tackles multiple hormone imbalances all at the same time. It creates a cascade of benefits all throughout the body and mind, leading to a better mood, more energy, and deep comfort,
Starting point is 00:01:04 and I think that's something we all need. For a limited time, you can get 15% off your entire first order at happymammoth.com. Just use the code YFT at checkout. You can try hormone harmony risk-free and get a 15% off your order with code YFT at checkout. Oh, okie dokie. I'm exhausted, everyone. I've done too much recently. Done way too much and I don't have the energy for it anymore. I'm in my 40s so I'm not sure if I have the testosterone for it anymore. It's just too much. Let me tell you what I did. Let's see, last week I had work and then on
Starting point is 00:01:42 Tuesday I flew to Tahoe to play in the ACC Pro Am thing, which is really fun. I got to play with Matt Linert and Austin Reeves and we played a match game. And if you're into golf, go check out the Vanity Index podcast stuff for all that stuff. We've filmed a bunch of it and then flew back on Thursday and then came back packed. Same day, got on a a plane flew to effectively San Francisco then jumped in a rental car drove to Napa and then was in Napa for Sarah's brother's wedding which was lovely by the way but you know a lot of drinking a lot of entertaining a lot of talking to folks that you don't normally
Starting point is 00:02:21 talk to and you know your emotional battery drains really fast when that happens, you know? Trying to keep up beat, and then, you know, Sarah and I haven't been around one another for a while, so we thought, you know, we really need to have a romantic getaway, so then we went a little bit of a road trip, and then, driving and driving and driving,
Starting point is 00:02:38 and seeing the sights and trying to spend time with one another. All the while, Bachelor in Paradise is airing, and I have to watch all of it and then talk about it, which I'm happy to do. That's why this show's coming out a little bit late, because I didn't have time to watch it, record it, and put it out before I got home.
Starting point is 00:02:55 So anyways, we got back last night from driving all over the state. I sat down and I watched both episodes, Monday and Tuesday of Bachelor in Paradise. Woke up this morning and Brandy's got some work so it's seven o'clock in the morning right now and we're recording this and we're gonna do a whole Bachelor in Paradise episode
Starting point is 00:03:13 but I just want you guys to know that I am tired and I'm sorry that we're a day late and it probably won't happen again the rest of the season but to be honest with you, I don't think you guys are watching the show like when it airs, right when it airs as much as you used to because like now Hulu and everything so much. It really matters That's what's going on with me I do have some fun things to talk about my favorite things to talk about was as it pertains to
Starting point is 00:03:36 My travels that I just recently had all around California. Well wait until Brandy gets in to talk about that, but I'll wait until Brandy gets in to talk about that. But dude, Bachelor in Paradise is wild, man. That rose ceremony with the Justin and Susie at all? We'll get into it, but geez, little geez. I remember when that happened, I was God smacked, flabbergasted, slack-jawed. Couldn't believe it. Can't believe it, what?
Starting point is 00:04:02 The big swing. The coffee is starting to kick in. Should we do it? Should we call the, the old brand Zeno? Let's do it. It's time to call her up. Hi. How you doing?
Starting point is 00:04:17 I'm tired. Why are you tired? I don't know, I'm just always tired. Is it because you made me start the show at 7 a.m. in the morning? But really for you, it's nine o me start the show at 7 a.m. in the morning? But really for you, it's 9 o'clock? It's 9 a.m. But you're the one that was like,
Starting point is 00:04:31 we gotta push back the episode. Well, we needed to watch it. Yeah, the screener setup is not it. I've worked on that. ABC was like, well, we can give you the screeners, but you're only gonna get them like a day before for three episodes and everything else is gonna be on time I'm like that's not gonna work for me No, are you telling me that like all the other podcasts that do podcasts about this show or not getting them in advance?
Starting point is 00:04:57 Mm-hmm, and then I pulled the old. All right. I'm gonna talk to bosses. Guess what that did fixed it immediately Let me just let me ask somebody Immediately. Oh, of course. Let me ask somebody else. Oh, yeah, perfect. We can get them for you, you know, the day, a couple days beforehand. No big deal. It's like... Unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:05:14 I'm on the fucking show, you know? Yeah. You're on the show, but you are not in the intro. I know. Either is Hannah. They cut you out. We never did it. We never filmed one. Yeah, but you used to be in it. I know, either is Hannah. They cut you out. We never did it, we never filmed one. Yeah, but you used to be in it.
Starting point is 00:05:27 I agree, there's a couple things that like, I am not okay with. One is the intro. The intros used to be funny, they're not that funny. No, they're not. Yeah, and then we are out of it, which is like, hmm. The other thing that they don't do anymore, which like, you need to end the show with funny credit roll, BTS stuff.
Starting point is 00:05:48 I don't understand why that went away. That was such like a big part of it. Yeah, it was. Thank God they brought back the little tag lines under the name. Yeah, I know. Thank God. I know.
Starting point is 00:05:59 I will say that this week was very dramatic. It was, especially the first Monday's episode. Yeah, but then it bled into Tuesday's episode you find out what happens. Yeah, Justin of it all. Aha. And then did you watch the first episode too? Because we didn't watch it last week. Okay. Oh, yeah, I've watched it all.
Starting point is 00:06:20 All right. Well, what are your initial thoughts? I'd love to hear. I like the changes for the most part. I've been on the Tik Tok and I've seen polarizing opinions on this. Right? Like some people love the way it looks. Some people love the new edit and some people are like, why you want the old show back?
Starting point is 00:06:35 But I like it better. It obviously looks way better. And to me, it's just all a little bit riskier, like roasting people a lot more, you know what I mean? Like make them be, they're not afraid to make people look bad. Fucking Jeremy makes himself look so fucking terrible this week and they kind of jump in and roast him in his interviews, like they kind of let him look bad and I loved it, it's better TV.
Starting point is 00:07:01 They let him sit there and talk and say dumb shit and then they put it over, you know, Bailey having this like incredible sensual experience with Andrew while he's sounding like an idiot. And with the taglines under his name, they were roasting him a little bit. I don't know. I just loved it. I think that in the past, they would have done the exact same thing if someone had had acted in that way.
Starting point is 00:07:22 I don't know. I feel like they're letting things like fly a little more this year. I also feel like the roasting for Jeremy might be completely justified. Completely, that's why I love it. I wanna talk about it because I do have actually some feelings about it. So let's show it real quick and then we'll just jump in. We should, yeah, totally.
Starting point is 00:07:42 Go for it. Bros and hoes, you're listening to your Favorite Thing podcast with. Bros and brondie. We have two new beach goers coming to town, Parisa and Ali Jo. Ali Jo has the prettiest eyes of anyone who's ever been on this show.
Starting point is 00:07:59 She does. She doesn't last very long, and that makes no sense to me. Her personality's not my cup of tea. She owns a boxing gym and she works out. Like that should be what every guy there is just like, that's all they do is work out, that should be perfect. Yeah, but guys don't want someone like them.
Starting point is 00:08:18 I think they do. No, I don't think so. Guys want girly, feminine, I need you, and they want their ego fed, and Allie Jo don't need no one. You know? That's my hot take there, which love that for you girl. Get it.
Starting point is 00:08:32 So we have a little exercise that Hannah and I present. It's the basically seven minutes in heaven. It's the kissing booth. I loved this by the way. I thought it was a really good, fun experiment. Again, something they wouldn't have done previously. It's an easy way to like get some drama going. I take all the guys, Hannah takes all the girls,
Starting point is 00:08:52 and the whole time I'm like interviewing them. And a lot of the guys are like, no, I'm just gonna kiss so and so, whoever I'm dating. And I'm like, first of all, it's day four. I think it's okay if you kiss someone else. Like I don't think anyone's gonna roast you in the comments for this.
Starting point is 00:09:06 But also, my whole point was like, no one's gonna know. Yes, you'll know at the end of this. Yeah, when you watch it back. When you watch it back. No one's gonna know in the moment that's gonna be able to get mad at you about it. I do feel like girls tell each other things.
Starting point is 00:09:20 So it's like if the guys are in there being hoes, I feel like that would get around pretty quick. The girl can't be in there without the guy, without both of them swiping. No, I know. Right, so if the guys are being hoes, so are the girls. True. I was blown away like, Spencer had only kissed Jess once,
Starting point is 00:09:38 and it was before he went to bed. Which is so cool, because they're so serious. Yeah, and I was like, I think that's kind of crazy. Unless you're just not attracted to anybody else, then that's totally fine. But if you are, this is a great opportunity for it. My favorite thing ever is Brian kissing Zoe and then walking out pretending like he's not gonna kiss
Starting point is 00:09:56 anybody else and then stopping and then seeing that she's gone and then going back in there. Chef's kiss, fantastic. Douchebag number two. At least he's coming by it honestly. Yeah, in a sense. Although when Zoe told him like what it what it was, he was like, well, I don't I don't think that's true. He was like, I don't believe I don't think what you're saying.
Starting point is 00:10:14 And it's like, bro, what she's saying is correct. Again, it was day four, right? Her response to that pushed him away a little bit like, whoa, for sure. Yeah, I agree with him that she is, like clingy is the wrong word, but she is very, I don't know, she's just, it's a lot, right? It's like a lot of, a lot. I think that does push people away sometimes.
Starting point is 00:10:35 However, she was 1,010% right that he came back from that date and completely ignored her, and they even showed it, which I fucking loved. It's like, he's like, I don't think that's true, and then they fucking show him sitting there eating breakfast ignoring her. And I do think that he didn't come back and communicate correctly. He should have come back and immediately been like, hey, I had a great time with Parisa or whatever her name is.
Starting point is 00:10:54 And, you know, I'm feeling more of a connection there instead of waiting a whole 24 fucking hours because he can't communicate. Fair enough. Yeah, I think he could have done things a little bit better. I think both of them could have done things a little bit better. what I'm trying to say. Ali Joe and Priza get a double date situation where they go to a bar and play bar games as a bar that apparently that I work at also I moonlight at. This is how sad my life is in paradise that I have to get a second job to be able to pay job to be able to pay. Literally. To be able to pay for my kids and my wife.
Starting point is 00:11:27 That was a really fun date to do, I gotta be honest. I really enjoyed that. It was really, really silly and it was just fun to film. The kissing booth thing that I went and filmed, that was boring because it's just like these guys were tired, they didn't want to do it. And I'm like, this is awesome. You get to go make out with whoever you want. Like, and at least for the, you know,
Starting point is 00:11:49 the torquing games and the human sloth and the armor. Yeah, it was also just very funny to watch. You know, yeah, and then we had a bunch of locals that were there. And little locals, of course, were the best at all of it. Of course. I was surprised though, Eduardo Gigantico, arm wrestling champion, he lost both of them. Little background, little BTS on that. Yeah, let's hear about that.
Starting point is 00:12:14 He was like a security guard on set. He's a big mofo, dude. Is he? He doesn't look that big. He's big. He's probably 6'3", 270, just like. Well, when you're dating a seven foot tall man, that doesn't seem very big. He's probably 6'3", 270, just like. Well, when you're dating a seven foot tall man, that doesn't seem very big.
Starting point is 00:12:29 Yeah, fair enough. But he's very big. We filmed this whole thing of like him walking in and whatever, because we thought he was gonna absolutely destroy the guys in arm wrestling. He got beat and I was just blown away. And finally, he didn't speak the best English. And finally I figured it out.
Starting point is 00:12:46 He is left handed and he had to go right handed. And so he was like bummed out and kind of embarrassed that it happened. But then I was like, Oh, I didn't know that he kept on trying to get them to go left handed. And they're like, No, no, not doing that. So anyway, that's why he lost that. Crazy. Alright, guys, if you're trying to be healthy, I know one of the things that I struggle with is getting like enough vitamins and enough vegetables and fruits and fibers into my body because I
Starting point is 00:13:13 eat like a 12 year old boy. And that's why we've been using Balance of Nature's whole health system supplements that come with 47 ingredients. We've got fruits, we've got vegetables, we've got spices and fibers, the fruits and veggie supplements have a huge variety of 31 colorful ingredients and 16 whole fruits and 15 whole vegetables ingredients like mangoes, shiitake mushrooms, spinach, wild blueberries, kale, and aloe vera.
Starting point is 00:13:39 I gotta be honest with you Wells, I hate vegetables. Yeah. Like I don't eat any veggies, I don't think. Nothing green unless it's a salad. So I desperately need something like this. I love that they have no binders or added fillers in these. Plus they ship straight to your door. So you don't have to go anywhere to get them. They're convenient, easy to take along with you
Starting point is 00:13:58 when you're traveling, wherever you're going that day, whether you're running errands or going on a trip. We love something that you can take and pack in your suitcase. You can swallow your fruits and veggies supplements with a glass of water, you can chew them or you can open them up and mix the powder with food or drink which is my reference. All right, head on over to balance of nature.com and use code y ft for 35% off your first order as a preferred customer
Starting point is 00:14:21 plus get a free bottle of fiber and spice do it. All right, y'all with summer in full swing, I have had the urge to refresh my closet. And recently I have loved shopping at Quince. I shop online and the best part about it is that you get these great quality pieces for like half the price of where you would find it elsewhere. I personally am a huge fan of their Organic Cotton collection. They have so many pieces to choose from.
Starting point is 00:14:50 I think I've talked before about how I love the t-shirt packs. I even have some of their scoop bralettes and boy shorts and organic cotton. The fabric is so good and the quality is incredible. I also have my eye on an organic denim jacket that they have. It is so cute. It comes in a couple different washes. I'm telling you guys,
Starting point is 00:15:10 if you haven't checked out Quince for your summer wardrobe, you've got to give them a try. The other cool thing about Quince is they only work with factories that use safe, ethical, and responsible manufacturing practices, plus those premium fabrics and finishes. You truly don't need to go anywhere else. They have something for everybody. And if you want to give your summer closet an upgrade with Quince, just go to quince.com slash yft for free shipping on your order. Plus
Starting point is 00:15:38 they have 365 day returns. That's amazing. Again, that's quince q u i n c e dot com slash yft to get free shipping and 365 day returns quince.com slash yft. I wonder if alijoe had taken Dale in the day. If that would have changed how Dale and alijoe would have felt about each other going forward, you know? Yeah, possible. I don't know if Dale would have gone, or would have been open to it,
Starting point is 00:16:09 but again, that was such an early part of the show. It's frustrating because I know we're not seeing everything, but I don't really see the connection between Dale and Kat, except them both being hot. Yeah, well, I think that's, you know. Like, is that it? I know it's episode one, but her fucking line about like, we love a tired man.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Oh yeah. Is literally my favorite thing I think I've ever heard on the show. It's true. It's fucking so true and so funny. Sarah even said, she was like, that's such a good line. I was like, yeah. It's incredible. I feel like if she was not given enough credit for that.
Starting point is 00:16:43 You're giving it to her right now? It's good, because it is true. All right, so double date's incredible. I feel like she was not given enough credit for that. You're giving it to her right now. It's good because it is true. All right, so double dates over Jill comes in, which she's very funny. I love her because she makes great TV. But sometimes I'm like, you're a little too walk a walk up and you're not like enough. I want to be serious and I want to find someone here. And I don't know if that's like just a coping mechanism. And then lo
Starting point is 00:17:06 and behold, who comes in is Susie. My girl. It looks easy. Fantastic coming in, by the way. She is so beautiful. So beautiful. But obviously, this is a big problem for Justin, you know, broke up with her recently and so did he break up with her? Is that public knowledge? I don't think so. But he's the one that broke, did the breaking up? I mean, like the way that I read it, and I feel like Lexi could feel it too,
Starting point is 00:17:29 is that like the subcontext is that he's still in love with her. Yeah, that is the subcontext, but. Well, then what, you don't break up with someone if you're still in love with them. Yeah, I guess. I don't know, people do dumb shit, who knows? I really don't know, but that's just what I gather.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Okay. I think that maybe they wanted different things. But I guess is what I gather. Okay. I think that maybe they wanted different things. And I think that came into the impasse and maybe it was a you know, a mutual decision. But I think that's at least the way that I'm reading it, especially watching on TV is that Justin is like not quite done with his feelings for her. Sure. So then Lexi kind of closes it down with Justin, you know, just like, hey, listen, and right before Suzy comes in, obviously, it's a little bit of like, Oh,
Starting point is 00:18:11 my god, they're having this conversation now. All right, send her in, send her in, send her in. Oh, totally. Lexi kind of closes it down with Justin. And it's like, okay, I mean, I can see where I totally can see why you'd want to do this. But also the guys have the roses, so I don't know. Seeing how things turn out, you're like, I wonder if things would have been a little bit different
Starting point is 00:18:30 if it hadn't been Lexi shutting him down beforehand where he's like, I don't know what to do. And then Jeremy starts doing some Jeremy stuff and he pulls Suze. Which isn't shocking. No, and like I totally get it. She's absolutely gorgeous. And like it's pretty noticeable in the way that he lights up
Starting point is 00:18:49 around Susie is just kind of like monotone when he's with Bailey. I feel like every time I saw him with Susie, he was just like kind of giddy. Yeah. It made me feel bad for Bailey, I don't know. Again, that's another one where like I'm not really seeing the connection.
Starting point is 00:19:02 I don't get why Bailey is so hyper-focused on Jeremy, especially like when Andrew comes in and they have like, I know I'm jumping forward, but like that's another like great fucking option. So it's not like there's no other options, right? And she's still hung on Jeremy. I think Bailey is the most gorgeous girl on the beach. Like there is something about her.
Starting point is 00:19:21 I am fucking obsessed with her. Like she is stunning. Her body is 12 out of 10. Like that girl can have anyone she wants. And we're sitting here with Jeremy and I'm just a little confused. I agree with what he said. Like her confidence about what they have is probably very attractive to him and she does just seem very unbothered. And yeah, like if he comes back and chooses me, great. And if not, like, then that's what he's gonna choose. Like I love that attitude. If I were her, I would have picked up on his uncertainty, I guess, about the choice, and I wouldn't have loved that,
Starting point is 00:19:49 especially when someone like Andrew comes in and we have such a great time. Not a great look, Brian, that you jump in the pool with Parisa after the date. What a moron. And are doing night swimming. But also I see them, and I'm like, they're perfect for each other.
Starting point is 00:20:04 They both seem like- Totally. Italian, Nigerian, P.I. I know. To the girl. I think that there's a world in which he's scared of her. I did an interview where I was like, I feel like he's just terrified that she's going to, he's gonna wake up and she's gonna be like,
Starting point is 00:20:20 heavily breathing over his face with a knife in her teeth. That's a little much. I think he's just scared of her, which I think is fair. She's a very dominant person. Then Zoe's like, all right, well then, if this is how you're gonna be, I'm gonna pull Dale. And Dale is like, yeah, just so you know,
Starting point is 00:20:36 kind of full in on Kat. But then like. Which is a lie. Which is a lie, because Ali Joe comes and talks to him and he's like, I'm still totally open. So it was more of like, I'm not open to you, but I am open to other people. Another man that just can't communicate correctly. Shocker.
Starting point is 00:20:53 So Zoe gets turned turned down by Dale and then goes off on Brian. Yep. I mean, there's also part of me that's like, yeah, if I'm Brian, I'm like, I got to get as far away from this person as possible. I see both sides. I see how Zoe's upset, but I also see how Brian's like, dude, we just got here. And like, I'm getting yelled at because I came and did the thing that like I think that you're supposed to do here in paradise. He lied to Zoe and he shouldn't have done that. I also wonder if the timeline's right about that. I kind of will defend Dale here. I'm not sure if that happened before the Zoe conversation.
Starting point is 00:21:32 It might have been. So Jeremy and Suzy go on a date. So then Brian and Priests play this weird improv murder game that's like, hey, I need you to get rid of this sandal. If that's not the most Italian New Jersey game that I've ever heard, I don't know what is and then I saw that I was like, Oh, I think you guys are perfect for one another. Actually, you'll help each other cover up murders. Also, like, are they both in the mob?
Starting point is 00:21:55 Possibly. She's definitely in the mob. I wonder if her if her father is like a mob certainty and he's like, you if before you bring a boy home, you got to ask him this question. Will you destroy evidence so you don't get in trouble with the law? Finally go to this rose ceremony. Spencer gives his rose to Jess, who couldn't have seen that coming. Jonathan gives his rose to Alex. That's kind of surprising, right? You think that there's a chance he might give it to Jill. Brian gives his rose to Parisa, which absolutely
Starting point is 00:22:31 sends Zoe into a tailspin. Dale gives his rose to Kat, if I'm really surprised about but could have gone either way. Could have gone either way. You've got Justin having to make a tough decision, which should be like, you don't think it's gonna be a tough decision. You think he's just gonna be like, I'm gonna give it to Lexi
Starting point is 00:22:47 because this is the person I have a connection with. And I'm not in the business of saving my ex. He gives her rose to Susie and Susie's flabbergasted, slack-jawed and gobsmacked. And I totally get where she's coming from. I understand what he's trying to do. I think he thinks it's gonna look really good. But I think it looks not great. I think he's trying to look like
Starting point is 00:23:10 the good guy and he ends up looking like a not great guy. The thing that annoyed me about what it did was so then a fast, you know, jump cut to the next episode where we find out I was experiencing it in real time. I was like, this is amazing television, but also like at what cost, right? Because Suzy saying no is a huge flip, right? Because it knocks out a big star and Justin not being there. She says, you know, it knocks her out. Who's a big star and being there. It knocks
Starting point is 00:23:40 out Lexi, who I think is a big name on the show. Three person swing, we're at the top of episode three. Was it like really good, compelling television? Yeah, dude, it was. Yeah, and I think Suzy made the right call. It would've been weird as fuck if she'd taken that rose. So then, Jesse goes and has this hard conversation with Justin, he's like, well, you still have a rose.
Starting point is 00:24:06 We kind of don't want the number. We need to keep some on here. You're gonna kind of kill the show here. And at that time he's just like, give it to her the fuck out of the shit. Yeah, Jill's on it. I know. And Jill says no.
Starting point is 00:24:15 And I remember being like, fuck, dude, we can't keep these people here. Oh no. Quickly is able to be convinced otherwise to stick around and stay, which is very, very funny. It just knocked out all of our stars so fast. And I've been seeing online that Lexi is still pissed about what Justin did, and so they're going back and forth
Starting point is 00:24:39 on social media, which is... Oh geez. All right, so the Golden's come in. How do you feel about the Golden's coming in? I hate to say it, but I don't love it. Oh really? Yeah, once they came onto the scene, I just checked out, like I was so uninterested.
Starting point is 00:24:56 That to say, I did not watch Joan's season, so I don't know any of the people from that season, so maybe it's just because I don't know them that I'm not invested. But yeah, to me it takes away from the rest of it. I 100% disagree. I won. I know. The morale was low with the troops
Starting point is 00:25:14 after that rose ceremony and everyone was just like kind of dragging ass and they brought in so much energy and fun. They also are like willing to like do weird shit that like no one else will do with this like new generation of people who are so nervous about how they're going to be perceived and wanting to curate their own brand and all this stuff. Having those people around showing you that like you
Starting point is 00:25:37 don't need to do any of this to be like to have fun and have a good time. I would just like this to be its own separate entity show like I would watch a bunch of Golden's date one another. Yeah, maybe that's what it needs to be. I don't know. To me, the crossover was just not it's just hard to be able to tell all the stories at the same time because you have so much history going on with the
Starting point is 00:25:56 youngs and then these, these new older folks are coming in, you guys are kind of fighting for air time storytelling. The whole thing that cat is April and 40 years is like so funny and so fucking true. Yeah, that little bit was good. And then like April getting a kiss from she got a kiss from Jack of the pool, which was cool. All right. And then Andrew comes back. You happy to see Andrew back? indifferent. Alex is very excited to then Andrew comes back. You happy to see Andrew back? I'm indifferent.
Starting point is 00:26:25 Alex is very excited to see Andrew come back. Poor little Alex. She is so fucking cute. She just gets friend zoned and I hate that for her. Her default is like being goofy or being. Oh, no. I can see how endearing but also it can probably be like, I don't know if this girl likes me.
Starting point is 00:26:42 Whereas with Jill, though, I feel like it's a little bit of a shtick. I feel like that's just how Alex is. I think she's just a little bit awkward and goofy. Andrew decides to take Bailey on the date, not Alex.
Starting point is 00:29:49 And Bailey thinks this is totally normal. I mean, Jeremy went on a date yesterday. As she should, yeah. When I go on a date, I'm so confused. When you went on a date, I was like unbothered and was like, all right, yeah, go for it. Yeah, I'd love to go on this date with you, Andrew, but I need to talk to Jeremy about it first
Starting point is 00:30:05 Which is the right thing to do for sure and then she goes and does that and he freakin loses it I was it and then walks away and is like I want Susie back like a fucking toddler insane All while wearing a tank top. I it's just You know, yeah, I do I know the producer he's talking to and he's like, give me your phone, let's FaceTime it right now. And it's just like, what? Good on you for like not caring how this is gonna look, but Jeremy, this looks terrible.
Starting point is 00:30:34 It looks terrible. Like it literally is like a fucking kid that's like, someone stole my toy, I want a new one. Yeah, but like what's the plan here because Bailey has gone on this date, you don't even know how it's gonna turn out. You can't bring it to your back. Well, he clearly wanted Suzy,
Starting point is 00:30:50 he wanted Suzy before Bailey was going on a date. He was saying immediately after the rose ceremony that he was second guessing his choice. Insane. Here's the other thing is that he is really vocal with like everyone about it. No, I know. About what's going on.
Starting point is 00:31:04 Shameless. My thing was, he was pretty vocal about telling everyone that he like called Susie, that he kind of wished Susie was still around, that he wasn't sure about his decision. And no one tells Bailey this. I know.
Starting point is 00:31:21 And of course, I'm privy to all this information. It's not my place to go tell Bailey right you guys are not being girls girls He goes and now Alex this information Mm-hmm Alex like pats them on the on the shoulder and it's like, okay, it's okay And he's like, I don't need you like sympathize with me and I don't think that's what she was doing I think she was like, okay, that's fucked up that you did that totally. Yeah I'm just confused as to why no one was like a good friend to Bailey to be like, hey, that's fucked up that you did that. Totally. Yeah. I'm just confused as to why no one was like a good friend to Bailey to be like, hey, by the way, this is just happening.
Starting point is 00:31:49 Who is she closest to in the house? Do you know the house? I don't know everybody. Yeah. So Alex finally breaks up with Jonathan. Alex stands your kiss. Cute. Yeah. Loved it. What do you think the deal is with Jonathan? Why is Jonathan he's I think he's one of the most handsome guys there. Why isn't he getting some love? I don't know what we're not seeing, but he is kind of friend-zony too.
Starting point is 00:32:13 Like he just, it's like just so like major like friendly vibes and no sexual vibes. Yeah. I don't know why. The only thing I could think is that there's just no one there that he really would like to be with. So it's like he's just kind of playing the friend card to stick around. Yeah, maybe so. All right, Sean, aka Ken doll is back on the beach. He decides to take Jill on a date, which thank God Jill gets to go on a date.
Starting point is 00:32:39 Do we think his tan is real or fake? He lives in Florida, so I could see it. I know. But he was not that tan last year. He's let his true hair color come out, which I'm not sure if that darkens his complexion or not. I don't think so. I think he got a spray tan. I think he probably did too.
Starting point is 00:32:56 If I'm being honest with you, I think everyone got spray tans. Not all the guys. I wouldn't be surprised. Jeremy didn't. No, he was like, I'm gonna get tan and then got just absolutely roasted. Alright, so they go on a date. It's cute. Then Jesse and I do a I know you did last summer commercial, which is horrible,
Starting point is 00:33:16 which I why? hated it. Why? It's like we get it you guys getting paid for this. ABCs poor for poor sure well, I think had to promote this movie I also think that like probably Disney owns the IP for sure. I just thought it was unnecessary We've done installations before I know I never like it, but you're acting skills though No, that's the thing when I did it. I thought I was so good. And then watching it back, I'm like, oh, I'm terrible. Like I texted Sarah and I was like, I'm a little actor. Like everyone was put the director thought I did such a great job. You know, and then and I was like, yeah, maybe I am good at this.
Starting point is 00:33:56 And I watched back. I'm like, oh, terrible. Well, they didn't give you much to work with. No, I am the guy who's dressed in a suit and a bunch of those. I remember Jesse being like, why are we pretending, I am the guy who's dressed in a suit and a bunch of those. I remember Jesse being like, why are we pretending that I'm the reason why we didn't do Paradise last season, you know, like, because you took your family on a year long vacation. We couldn't go. That's not true. That was for TV. Anyways, we did the commercial. I'm a terrible actor. I'm sorry about that.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Alright, the cast has to do this like secrets exercise. I don't know. I didn't really understand how like one won. It was just like this and that, I guess. Kathy wins with a pretty weird secret that she slept with another person while her husband was in the room. Jesus. I think that that's not true. You know?
Starting point is 00:34:44 Never let the truth get in the way of a good story, Wells. Yeah. I'm not sure if I believe that that's true or if it's true, it's like a play on words. I'm not really sure. I liked watching Kim, the old sea captain go after April and screwing over Jack. Kathy and Keith go to the VIP suite and they got to stop cheersing with the interlocking of the arms thing. I can't, we can't do that. I don't know if they see that on a rom-com.
Starting point is 00:35:09 They think that that's what it is. Probably. I do feel bad though that Keith decides to go and it's like a cute thing, but they never kiss or do anything. They hug, you know? It's giving friendship vibes. And that's kind of it.
Starting point is 00:35:24 That's kind of the end of the episode. That was kind of the show, yeah. A lot of hours of TV. Too much. I can't. Too much. When they told me they were like, yeah, we're doing a three hour episode on Monday
Starting point is 00:35:34 and a two hour episode on Tuesday, I was like, why? No, it was too much. Why? Everyone's comparing the show looking like Love Island and then we do the thing that Love Island does, which is put out way too much television each week. Yeah, but I'm entertained by it that Second episode and the beginning of the third was a lot
Starting point is 00:35:53 Yeah, it's very good TV. I'm locked in Yeah, who do you think is going to last the the test of time in paradise? I'm not sold on anybody so far Really? Yeah. Well, if you had to prognosticate, who would you go with? Jess and Spencer, but I just don't think they're making it. Really? I don't. It's too PG.
Starting point is 00:36:15 Yeah. I don't know. It's like church camp vibes for me, those two. Dale and Kat? I just don't think he's that into it. And I honestly don't know if she is either. I think she just like, I think he's the hottest one on the beach.
Starting point is 00:36:27 And I think she was like, that one is gonna be mine. Brian and Parisa? Maybe, maybe. Honestly, like I know the dialogue is that Brian's kind of a douche here. But when I watch them, I'm like, they're the ones that seem the most real to like, you know, I'm like, they're the ones that seem the most real to, like, you know, I'm like, I could buy this one.
Starting point is 00:36:48 Yep. Andrew and Alex. Nah. Jeremy and Bailey. Obviously not lasting. No, okay. Red flags galore. Oh, yeah, all right.
Starting point is 00:37:03 Well, we'll try to make sure that the episode comes out on Wednesday next week, because I don't believe that we've got any more two day episodes where we have to like wait to watch. But I don't know. We'll see what happens. TVD. Do you got any favorite things bro? Aside from the five fucking hours or so of bachelor in paradise I've watched this week, I guess five, seven hours, eight hours? Was the first episode three hours long? Good Lord. Way too much to my time. Matt and I did start Smoke on Apple. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:33 Did you keep up with that one or no? Firefighter one. Yeah, the firefighter one. You're in Egerton. Well, we only watched one episode. You like it? It's okay. I'm hoping it gets better.
Starting point is 00:37:42 I have faith because the cast is amazing and I love Apple TV shows usually. So we're gonna keep with it. But episode one wasn't like the best thing I've ever seen. I think the first episode is kind of slow. I think it does start to pick up. So I'd check that out. Okay, well that's good. Because I think it has promise for sure.
Starting point is 00:37:58 I'm about halfway through with We Were Liars, the show I told you guys about on Amazon Prime. That's like the YA show. It gets better. I've kind of moved past the fact that some of the dialogue is subpar. And my best friend Kirsten, she said the ending like wrecked her,
Starting point is 00:38:13 that she was like sobbing in her bedroom watching the finale. And I was like, holy shit. So this is what I keep hearing about this show is that like the finale is a doozy and that it's great, the ending's great, we'll totally just wreck you. So I'm sticking with it.
Starting point is 00:38:26 Okay, cool. Yeah, but it has gotten better. I love the, you know, it's kind of double storylines, right? You've got like the younger kids, but then like the moms, like the three sisters or whatever. And I like their storyline a lot. I guess like they're my age. So I guess I can really a little bit more about like, um, I love those
Starting point is 00:38:41 three actresses and that, that storyline is getting juicier. Good show. Um, I don't have anything anything to watch but I do have a suggestion for travel. We were in Napa. I've never been. That's so weird. I know. The wedding was in Gurnville. Never heard of it. Cute little kind of like mountain town. It's a lot of redwood trees and stuff. The river there. The town is tiny, but really, really cute and very gay. Like, like just a lot of pride flags. And I think it's amazing, like the LGBTQ community was like, we need a Napa town. This one's gonna be ours. I love the town. It was awesome. It was like this sleepy little like, like, wine
Starting point is 00:39:19 mountain town with like a lot of flair. So I highly recommend Guerneville. Very, very cute. And then, you know, I saw something on TikTok. And I was like, I must go do this. So we drove over up and over to Fort Bragg, California. Remember the Fort Bragg? I haven't been no. Well, Fort Bragg is gorgeous. It is an old redwood logging town on the water on the coastline. So we drove over there, they've got an
Starting point is 00:39:49 old train that runs the old logging lines called the skunk train. And you can rent these like little train cars that are bicycles. And I think I've heard of this. Yeah, and you pedal through the Redwood groves. That's sick. It was beautiful. It was awesome. You kind of go out kind of the end of the line, which is like, I don't know, five miles.
Starting point is 00:40:13 Also, you don't have to pedal if you don't want to. Like they have got they've got batteries on them so you can do that so you can kind of pedal. You don't really have to do any work. Classic America. Sarah and I were so hung over because it was the day after the wedding and we were like, we can pedal. And they're like, you don't really have to do any work. Classic America. Sarah and I were so hung over because it was the day after the wedding and we were like, you can paddle.
Starting point is 00:40:28 And they're like, you don't need to paddle. That's hilarious. It was so much fun. I can't tell you how much fun we had doing it. We'd go out kind of the end of the line, had a little picnic, had some wine out there, and then jump back on these bicycle train car things and pedaled our little hearts back home. Well,
Starting point is 00:40:45 we didn't pedal. Again, we just kind of... We're passenger princesses. We stayed at a cute little motel out there called the Beachcomber. Have you ever heard of that? I got to be honest with you. For a motel, it was, I think, the best one I've ever been to. The view was insane. It was like right on the water. Anyway, stay tuned for my Instagram stories because you know, I got this new camera. Oh, that's right. I love that camera. I know. I took some amazing photos. The person who's really benefiting from this is Sarah because she's just
Starting point is 00:41:16 totally photos. What was really funny is that we were we were at this wedding and we were in these redwood groves and it's beautiful and they're these places where like the light was coming through the trees and I was like, go stand over there and move your head or whatever. And so I was getting these shots. I can show you the shots that I have of Sarah. Some people got it and some people don't.
Starting point is 00:41:36 And like, she knows exactly like what angle and like how to find the light and everything. I took her pictures and I was like, this is an amazing spot to take pictures. And then other people came in and did it and it was like, no, that's not going to work. That's no good at all. Is it? No, nothing changed. Nothing changed other than like someone knew how to like take pictures. It's an art form. I don't have it. No. Yeah. And then we went to we went up to Carmel. We stayed in Carmel, which was lovely. We went and had caviar
Starting point is 00:42:08 and wine on the beach, which is what we love to do. And then I took her to Point Lobos. She'd never been to Point Lobos. We went over to China Cove and she liked that. And then I drove back yesterday and watched five hours of TV, got in bed at midnight. And here we are. Here we are. Here we are. That's all I got. That's all you got. Well, what else are you doing this week? I don't even know. You don't even know. I want to do nothing. Oh, OK.
Starting point is 00:42:32 What do you got? I'm home for the week. My first week home since May 15th or something crazy. I have four doctor's appointments today. That's fun. Gross. What's going on with you? Oh, just all the annuals, you know, since my insurance re-ups in August, so I gotta do them now. Nothing like wait until the last minute.
Starting point is 00:42:50 Pap smear? Yep, correct, that's the first one up today. Blood work. Dermatologist? Yep, dermatologist. Jeez Louise. And laser hair removal, just all in one day. Well that's not really necessary, but.
Starting point is 00:43:01 But, you know, it's on the list. How long have you been doing laser hair removal? I think this is my fourth session of six. Okay. Let me tell you, it is the most fucking painful thing on this planet that I have experienced so far. Yeah, why are you doing it? Oh, because it's just so nice to be hairless.
Starting point is 00:43:19 Hmm, yeah. When you do it, like I had to skip one because of Vegas, I was there for five, you have to go every six weeks because I went to Vegas, I had to skip one because of Vegas, I was there for five, you have to go every six weeks because I went to Vegas, I had to skip one and until Vegas, like no hair, where I got lasered, like my armpits, just didn't have to shave them at all, bikini line, didn't have to touch it.
Starting point is 00:43:36 Go to Vegas for six weeks, five, six weeks I was gone and all of a sudden all my hair's growing back. That's what I get for skipping one, but if I stay on it, then every six weeks, like you just go pop in there every six weeks and then you don't have to shave. It's really nice. Favorite thing. I mean, listen, least favorite thing to endure,
Starting point is 00:43:51 but the payoff, I do think is worth it. More painful than getting a tattoo? Way more painful. Really? But it's about the same as getting the laser tattoo removal, which is also hell. Geez. Yeah, it's about the same. The tattoo removal takes longer, which is also hell. Jeez. Yeah, it's about the same.
Starting point is 00:44:06 The tattoo removal takes longer. You're sitting there longer, zapping you for longer. I guess depending on how big your tattoo is, but the laser hair removal is pretty fucking quick. Yeah, just a bop, bop, bop. If my Nashville girlies are looking for somewhere for laser hair removal, I highly recommend Silk in West Nashville. It's where I go.
Starting point is 00:44:24 The girls there are just so sweet and they're really good at distracting you while it's going on so that you're not in as much pain. You know, stress balls and blow you with cool air and just suck all the things. All right, well, I'm never gonna do that, but good luck with all that stuff. Well, you know, you might start growing some back hair
Starting point is 00:44:42 and change your mind. You never know. I don't have back hair. I don't think it's happening. I'm 40 now, you know? Yeah, be start growing some back hair and change your mind. You never know. I don't have back hair. I don't think it's happening. I'm 40 now, you know? 40 more. Yeah. All right, well, I have tears.
Starting point is 00:44:51 We'll be back again. We'll probably most likely be back on Wednesday next week. Sorry, we had to take a day, but I've been traveling. Don't be mad at me. All right. Well, I hope that all your tests come back positive or negative. Do you know what I'm saying? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:12 All right. Later, YFT years. This podcast has been brought to you by Podcast Nation.
