My Apple Mouse is dead again.
Mm-hmm.
It goes.
I don't understand I just charged it.
You know?
And also, not for nothing, Apple,
why don't you make a mouse pad that is also a charger?
Ooh, smart.
You like that?
Wait, should you
Wait, trademark that
Or whatever
Copyright, trademark,
Whatever the fuck it is
And get rich
I think so
Genius
You know what else I think
I think that VEMO needs to
Send me a credit card
So I can
This fake money that I've got
This monopoly money
That it's just trading back and forth
I don't buy anything with it
You know?
Yeah
It's just
just it's not like we've all been buying stuff and just been shifting it back and forth.
I now, I want it in a card and I want to go buy something.
Okay.
I think they do make Venmo debit cards.
They do?
Yeah.
Okay.
I think so.
But you're right.
It does seem like fake money.
Yeah, it's not real.
We all, it's just, we all decided that we would like just have a thousand dollars and it's just like
moves, moves to you and then it moves back to me.
And like, no one's never ever doing anything with it.
No.
I think we're just getting taxed, right?
Like they just put a, you know, it's like every transaction.
They're just taking a couple cents out of us.
I do find entertainment, though, in reading people's Venmo transactions.
And it just astounds me that people, number one, want other people knowing their business of what they're paying for.
And number two, have the time to, like, write in all these little descriptions of their transactions because I don't.
What psychopath has their Venmo transactions open to the public?
That's what I'm saying.
But it is so entertaining to see like, especially like married couples that are like Venmoing each other.
I'm like, what the fuck are you guys doing?
Yeah.
Isn't it all the same money?
Like I don't get it.
Like I do get like separate having separate bank accounts and I'm all about that.
It's like I want to spend money on horses and you know, I don't need any attitude from you about it.
So I'll just have my own bank account.
But it's like when it comes to Venmoing each other for dinner, it's like, really?
Are you guys that petty?
Like Matt and I are just like, I got this one.
You got the next.
Yeah.
Well, I don't know.
Very interesting.
Just the world's crazy.
If you have, you might not maybe not know it.
But if you have public view transactions in your Venmo, go change that right now.
All right?
Or don't because it does entertain me.
I know.
But is there nothing sacred anymore?
I don't want you know what kind of where my money's going.
going. That's weird.
Yeah. Oh, hold on a second. I got to go get this. Sorry about that. Dude, I'll tell you what.
What was that? Was that Postmates? Was that? No, I don't know. It's Sarah bought something and it needed to be
signed and she was in the shower. So I was supposed to go get it. I don't know. Do you have
ring cameras? Yes, I do. Okay. I do like ring. Actually. Same.
Should support our show. You should advertise with us. But here's some free advertising. Ring. Great
stuff. We've got like this whole other security
system. Can't stand it. It's too hard.
Never works. It's always, but
Rings's always working. Here's the thing. I think
Ring recently did like an update of
some sort and now
you know how, like on your phone is it like someone
at your front door or like someone rang your doorbell
or whatever. Do you have that? Okay. Yeah.
I have, I've always had that. Now
it's using a AI,
I think and it'll be like
a person with a brown Amazon
packages out front and then
and I'm like, I don't need to know all this
information?
It is a lot.
I think, like, I've seen it say, like, a brown dog is outside your door.
Yeah.
It is, yeah, I'm like, okay.
I know.
I don't know if I need this month's information.
I also feel like at some point it's going to say something uncouth, you know.
It'll be like, ring notification.
Some fat bitch is outside.
You're like, whoa, dude.
She's working out.
It's not going to do that.
That don't be crazy.
I do love ring, though.
I like it just because I like to spy on the dogs.
We've got them outside.
We've got them inside.
We got rings everywhere.
All right?
I also, low-key, like to spy on Matt when I'm out of town.
I like to spy on him with the dogs because I love hearing him talk to them.
It's so cute.
Like, when I'm gone, I don't hear it when I'm here, but when I'm gone, I'll hear him.
He'll be like, hey, guys, you guys want breakfast.
Like, he's so cute.
He's like, all right, all right, guys.
I'll be back.
soon. It's so fucking cute.
I love to spy. Yeah.
This is something that Sarah and I use it for
when like someone's not responding
to their text messages or calls
or whatever because they've left their phone somewhere.
But you like have something you need to talk to them
about then go on one of the
cameras and be like, hey, hey,
hey, look at your phone.
And it's terrifying.
Are your dogs barking in the background?
That would scare the shit out of me. Yeah, I think
Matt just pulled up. Okay.
Yeah. I'm surprised you even ask me.
about my location.
Yeah, there seems to, Kate Moss is behind you.
Kate Moss is behind me.
And it's weird because your computer screen glare is over her mouth, which almost
looks like she's like, um, gagged.
It kind of looks like you can see my computer screen too, which is kind of creepy.
Yeah.
So where are you?
I'm in Tish's basement.
You're in town?
No, in Franklin.
In Nashville where I live.
Yeah, okay.
Tish has a base, you know this.
Tish has a basement in the house that I'm supposed to be moving out of.
So I'm in Tish's basement because I was supposed to be moved out of here.
But long story short, shocker, our house is not fucking ready to be lived in.
And they're renovating upstairs.
So we are now living down here.
All right.
Well, that's cool.
So I'm down here until further notice.
Okay.
It's Wiley Coyote.
I'm living out of a suitcase in my own frigging house.
Well, not my house, but you know what I mean?
Do you have one of those cars that's got like the auto start function where like when you stop, it like turns off?
I do, but I have it.
You can turn it off to not do that and I have mine shut off because I actually think it uses more gas.
See, okay, this is what I want to talk about.
I think this is bullshit.
I think it wastes more energy to stop and like then restart the car.
I agree.
Every time you stop.
Yep.
I think that they're fucking with us.
They are fucking with us.
Yeah.
And I don't like it one bit.
Okay.
Also it like turns to your air condition.
off when it does that.
Yeah.
And it's fucking hot here.
Like,
I can't be having that.
No, listen, guys, stop.
Stop trying.
We got, no, no more.
We got to stop trying to save the earth.
I mean,
we can, I don't know.
Like, I'm all about saving the earth.
But the thing is like, I think you got to pick one.
You either pick an electric car or not.
We don't need any half ass half doing the electric car thing.
Like, it's like if I wanted an electric car, I'd go buy one.
And I don't.
So I don't want my engine doing the on off shit.
But I think it's just one big scam.
I think it's just like, oh, look, it's got auto start, which means it's saving gas.
But really it's not.
I think it's just all a big ruse.
I think it's big car manufacturers trying to get us.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
And listen, I'm fine with electric cars.
If you can figure out how to make them go 300 miles.
I hate electric cars for many reasons, but one of my biggest issues with them is they're so quiet.
And I don't like it.
Like, I can't hear it moving around.
I feel like it's just asking for, like, a kid to get hit or something or a dog because, like, you can't hear the car.
Yeah.
But one of my favorite things about the Teslas is that if you ever want to sneak into a lane, you kind of cut further down the lane so you can kind of, you want to cut over.
If you ever want to cut in front of somebody, just find yourself a Tesla because their sensors will make them stop.
They can't.
They can't not let you in.
That's true.
Also, they have dog mode.
I do like that about Tesla.
Yeah, that's cool.
Very cool.
I know.
Anyways, you want to start the show?
Yep.
You or me.
I think it's you.
Bros.
and hoes,
you're listening to your favorite thing podcast with.
Wells and Brandy.
AKA Dita,
aka I'm the only one
that takes advantage
of this fun little nickname thing
on Riverside.
I know.
I started it.
What was my first one?
It was like Big Mama's house.
Big Mama's house.
All right, Brandi, I have made a lot of upgrades for my health in recent years.
New tracking tech, this smart ring fitness equipment, things that were designed to improve my daily life.
But none of them have had the impact my Lisa mattress has.
The difference is how my body feels is amazing after waking up in a Lisa mattress.
I'm well rested.
I'm comfortable.
I'm ready for the day.
It's genuinely improved my quality of life so much.
If you're trying to be healthy, the number one thing is sleep.
And if you're going to sleep on a mattress, you should be sleeping on a Lisa.
This is so true.
I really am such a big believer in like sleep is king.
It is just, Wells is right.
It's the number one way to change your health.
Here's what I love about Lisa.
It's designed and assembled in the USA.
And they back it all up with free shipping.
And they have a 120 night sleep trial.
So if you don't love this mattress, you can send it back.
I also love that Lisa gives.
gives back. They work with local nonprofits across the U.S. to donate thousands of mattresses
each year to families in need. We love a give back brand. Right now, you can go to Lisa.com
for their Labor Day Early Access Sale. It's 25% off select mattresses. Plus, you'll get an
extra $50 off with promo code YFT, exclusive for our listeners. That's Lisa, L-E-E-E-S-A-com, promo code Y-F-T.
Hey guys, I don't know about you, but the best summer pieces are the ones that you end up wearing on repeat.
I have so many things in my closet, but I always reach for the same basics.
And my favorite basics come from Quince.
You guys have heard me talk about Quince before.
I love them so much because they make elevated essentials using premium materials without the traditional retail markup.
I love their organic cotton collection.
I have the T-shirts.
I have the long-sleeve tea.
I have the tank tops.
I buy all of these in like white, gray, black and just rotate them through my wardrobe.
They also have incredible pieces like denim.
They've got washable silk.
They've got European linen.
They literally have something no matter what your style.
Plus, they even have things like home decor and 14-carat gold jewelry.
You guys got to check them out for your summer wardrobe.
Make your summer wardrobe feel easier.

Guys, I am the worst gift giver.
I think one of my problems is that I wait to have the last minute and then panic because I have
no idea what to get someone.
But I've discovered Zazel and it has totally fixed this problem.
Zazel is this custom marketplace where you can basically take
any product and personalize it. So I'm talking like a mug, a tote bag, a phone case, a card so that you're
not just buying a gift, you're making one and making it personal for someone. I think that's
something that I dislike about gifts is when people just buy a gift card or just get another candle.
I like when things are personalized. So Zazel makes this so easy to do. Everything's on demand.
There's no out-of-stock situations. You just pick it, customize it, and it's done. I recently bought one of
my best friends a couple of personalized dog bowls for her two dogs. They were so cute. It was so
easy to do and she was so pumped about the gift. So right now you can save 25% on your first
order at zazzle.com. That's 25% savings on your first order at zazzle.com. Go make something
is amazing. Zazzle.com. Guess what I did? Well, I did it today and I also did it a few days ago,
but guess what I've been doing? What? Remember how I complained about my hip being broken? Yeah.
Well, it wasn't getting any butter.
So I went to physical therapy and I did dry needling.
Have you ever done this?
No.
I've only done wet needling.
That's disgusting.
I, you know me.
Like I'm like terrified of needles but also I get Botox every four months and I have tattoos.
It's like one of those things where like I think I've just convinced myself for so long that I'm terrified of needles.
But I'm really not.
I don't know.
But the idea of it, I've just, I've never done acupuncture.
I've never done any of that shit.
And the idea of it terrifies me.
But I was desperate because I like my hip pain has just been so bad.
I went on Thursday, I think, last week for the first time.
And in the four days since I have had virtually no hip pain.
Like that shooting pain I was feeling in my hip is completely fucking gone.
And I've been very active this weekend.
Pilates, horse riding.
Pilates, horse riding.
Like I've done it all, you know.
So it's crazy.
I went back today and did it again.
What?
Did you just have a stroke?
No, I was just saying what I did this weekend.
Pilates, horse riding.
Pilates.
Back to lot.
Okay.
Back to horse riding.
And then I went and got my hip dry needle again today.
And guys, I really think it's one of those things that actually works.
It's crazy.
Okay, hold on.
What is dry needling?
This sounds like overnight oats.
It seems I don't understand it.
You're the only person that doesn't have about overnight oats, okay?
By the way, the only people who commented on that post were people in my family.
I saw that.
It was my sister being like, you don't know what overnight.
Oh, it's all right.
Then my mom being like, I don't know what that is.
Oh, my God.
I love it.
Wasn't your sister like I literally make these every day?
Yes.
Yeah.
Okay, dry needling.
So from my understanding, it's the same needles as acupuncture.
So those tiny little needles, they just put them deeper.
and then they hook it up to something like a tens,
you know what a tens device is like that does the electric pulse.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
They hook it up to one of those.
So it's making your muscles like twitch, like jump.
Like it's stimulating the muscle from the needle.
It's crazy.
And it feels so weird.
Like I, the needles going in, it's not like it hurts.
Like out of five needles, like four feel totally like you don't even feel it.
And then every fifth one, like they'll hit like a muscle that's fucked and it'll feel so crazy.
Your muscle like cramps up when they're putting the needle in.
And it's not like pain, but it's just very like uncomfortable feeling.
It's the wildest sensation.
It's hard to explain.
But then once the needle's in there and they hook it up to the machine and it starts like making
your muscles twitch, it kind of feels like a massage.
Okay.
And they leave it hooked up to the needles like, I don't know, for a few minutes.
And then they move them to different needles because they put a bunch in there.
like acupuncture and she did like three different parts of my hip like in the front the side of the
back it's crazy like it immediately makes your muscle less tense like it's wild
you're all right so i'm all about it eastern medicine working apparently i'm drinking the
kool-aid yeah dude you know you got to align them chakras and you'll be just fine i know i mean it
really like it works dry needling dry needling yeah if you guys i don't know have wanted to try dry
needleing and you're skeptical. I'm here to tell you. Yeah. It's working for me. Okay.
Yeah. Got a favorite thing. Okay. The open championship in England. I went to it. Oh yeah. You're
already back. Crazy. Isn't you crazy that you went all the way to England did back? Yeah.
It's just crazy. Let me tell you like my travel itiner. By the way, it's the exact way. I did it the
exact way you should do it. Okay. But this is just me being like an old crumuchium. But
I want to say first, I've never been to England.
I've been to Heathrow, but then I went on somewhere else, but I'd never been to England.
So that doesn't count, yeah.
That doesn't count.
I went to Heathrow.
So I took the red eye on Monday night, went to London, and then landed in London, you know, the next day.
Then I took another flight to up to Manchester.
Okay.
And then I got picked up there by a lovely gentleman named Graham, who was my driver for the week.
It was like Tuesday night, basically, when I was there.
went to sleep or tried to, woke up at like 3 o'clock in the morning,
then I was just like, all right, I'm going to do some crossover puzzles or something
until I have to go to work.
Go to the first practice round.
I had to do a bunch of press for the big break, which is coming out on August 25th on
Golf Channel.
So I did a bunch of press for that, walked around the course, had some dinner, had some,
it was fun.
Then the next day I woke up again, I had to do a bunch of like social media hits for
Golf Channel and then just walked around again.
And then, so that was on Thursday.
then Thursday evening Graham picked my ass up,
drove me back to Manchester.
I got a hotel in the airport.
This is the hack, by the way, everybody.
This is the hack.
So then I went to sleep, woke up pretty early,
got on a flight, was back here by Friday afternoon.
That is the perfect amount of time I spent.
I mean, it's crazy that I went all the way over to Europe
for three days.
It's crazy.
I know.
but it was great.
I still don't know what time of day it is.
I've adjusted to time zones,
which happened way too quickly.
But I just want to say that I had an absolutely lovely time in England.
I think that the Open Championship in the UK is the best major,
and that's a bold statement.
I was there in England when England lost to Argentina,
and I was at a big party,
and it was, I felt really bad.
for all the Brits over there.
Here's a couple things.
I just got some thoughts about the Brits.
Okay.
Lovely people.
Very sweet.
Put on a great golf tournament.
I feel like England doesn't have a sense of self.
Explain.
The main dish there is chicken masala.
All right?
That's not even English at all, right?
No, it's not.
But everyone loves that.
But it's like, hold on, that's, I feel like that's Indian.
You know, like, I don't even, it's not even close to you.
you guys. It's not even like spaghetti, which is like close to Italy.
The main beer there that was like, we were drinking at, and obviously it was like sponsored
by, but the main beer there was Singh, which is a Thai beer. I was like, wait, you tell
me we don't have some British beer that's like the Anheiser bush of like what you guys do
here? Why is it, why is Singh the main beer? When I think of England, I think of Thai beer and I think
of Indian food. The other thing. So when you do.
do eat their stuff, this is a country that became incredibly rich and ruled the world getting spices
from the east and moving them all around the world. But yet they refused to put any of them in
their food at all. You should have kept some of them for yourself. You went and sold them all.
There's no flavor in here. And the last thing, I feel like there's, there's, there's.
They're still on like wartime food.
Tasteless.
Oh, let's just put fucking beans on this toast and, yeah, this bacon's half cooked.
Anyways, all that to be said.
I do like their sandwiches.
But their sandwiches are fucking weird too, you know?
Yeah, all the food there's weird.
I've, it's been a long time since I've been to London, but I've been several times.
And I've always left thinking like I hate the food here.
Yeah.
But I've heard that London is like an incredibly fantastic culinary city.
which I believe because it's just a huge hub.
But anyways, those are my takeaways from it.
I had the most fun.
The British fan or the UK fan really knows and understands golf.
They're really respectful.
They clap when they should.
They don't yell out fucking mashed potatoes or bababooie or give me back by shot after golf shots,
which is what Americans do, which is so annoying.
That sounds like something Americans would do.
Let me tell you something.
I know this isn't a golf podcast, but if you're, I know,
mainly women, listen to this. If your husband or boyfriend is one of those people who yells out
mashed potatoes after a drive or get in the hole in a par five, you should divorce them or
break up with them immediately. Or just have a chat with them about that and say, hey, let's not do that
anymore. We got to stop. Why do we got to go straight to divorce? Because you, that's the,
that's an ick for me. If I see someone do that, I'm like, who are you? And also like, what are you
getting out of this. Are you going to go back and be like, hey, watch the telecast. When
Ryan Fox was on 13, I was the one who yelled out Baba Booie after his drive.
Friends are going to be like, who the fucking dork? Who cares? No one cares about that.
You know?
Yes. Fascinating golf chat. Yeah. But I had such a good time.
And like what was really cool about the Brits is, I learned a lot of stuff.
You know, links golf. The reason why it's called links is it links the ocean land.
the ocean to the fertile land.
So it's like this really like kind of duney, sandy land that they couldn't farm.
So what they decided to do is just put golf courses there or like kind of big parks to give it some sort of use, usefulness, which is pretty interesting.
But they really love over there putting up big stands.
And you could watch the golf so easily because there stands everywhere.
And it's like just walk up and, you know, and beers were so cheap, even though they were.
Thai beers, I got three of them for 30 quid.
I was like, that's crazy.
If I got three beers in America, that's $100.
No doubt.
Which is fucked up.
I know.
They're not trying to nickel and dime everyone over there.
I know.
So, all right, everyone knows that I like a good glass of wine at the end of the day,
but I never really know where to buy good wine.
Usually just grab something and hope for the best, but that's not how you should be
working with wine, right?
But fear not.
I found First Leaf and honestly it just makes the whole thing super easy. They match wines to your taste and send them right to your door. First Leaf works directly with wineries which means we get access to award-winning bottles including wines you can't always find at your local store. At price is well below retail. Better wine for less money is kind of a no-brainer. I control my delivery schedule completely. If I need wine by Friday I can adjust timing. Going on vacation, no worries. I just skip it.
it fits my life perfectly. Now this hasn't happened for me yet because every bottle I've had has been
amazing. But if a bottle doesn't hit the mark, First Leaf has a hundred percent satisfaction
guarantee. They'll make it right. You definitely don't get that from buying at the store. I'm so happy
I found First Leaf. I'm telling you, if you were a wine lover like me, you need to go check them out.
Stop settling for wines that don't quite hit the mark. Head to try firstleaf.com slash YFT to sign up
and you'll get 50% off your first box plus free shipping for an entire year.

You know, we were talking about VEMO earlier.
Yep.
I have a hack for you.
Is it a Venmo hack?
It is a Venmo hack.
Let's hear it.
Okay.
You know, sometimes you get a phone call or a text message from somebody you don't know.
You're like, who the fuck is this?
And then you put it in your contacts and you're like, maybe it's in there.
and then it doesn't show up.
And then you ask your friends,
hey, can you put this in your contact?
So because you can figure it out, whatever,
and you can't figure it out.
If you put that number into Venmo,
it will take you to their Venmo page,
which has their name on it.
You can also do this sometimes with WhatsApp.
Oh, yes.
I do that a lot.
Good call on that.
Yep.
That is a good hack.
I have an idea, okay?
Okay.
I texted my friend Tyler Florence,
a famous chef from Food Network.
This is my idea, and he liked it.
Okay.
Okay.
Are you familiar with, oh,
Of course. Okay. So for the unanointed, omacase is basically a situation where you go to a Japanese restaurant and the sushi master just makes stuff for you. You don't order anything. You don't get any say in what comes to you. He's just making you the best shit. Yeah, it's usually like 12 courses or something, right? And it's fire. Yeah. It's always fire.
Bomb. I'm actually going to one of these on Thursday. Oh, they're the best. You know, I go to a lot of nice restaurants, especially when I'm traveling. I'm like, where do I go?
You know, like, and, you know, I'll chat GBT or, like, social media or whatever or, like,
my friends will tell me where to go.
But I never know what to order there, right?
Like, I don't know what their specialty is.
I don't know all their stuff.
And so often I'm just like, you figure it to the waiter, like, you figure it out.
I don't, I don't know.
I got no allergies and I'm really open to whatever.
Whatever's the best shit in the world.
Let's do that, you know?
Yep.
And I wish that they had an omicasse option at every.
restaurant. I do too. Another reason I would love that is because sometimes I don't want just one huge
meal of one thing. I want like a little bit of everything. So I think that would be genius too of like instead of
a fucking entree. Can I have like an omacasse of tapas? Yeah, exactly. I mean, I guess that's what
tapas are really is a bunch of tapas. That's why I love Barcelona. It's like my favorite restaurant
in town because it's tapas and you just get a little of everything. Is that place called bar B-A-R and
then Salona, because it's a bar and...
Barcelona.
Oh, it would be...
Barcelona wine bar, actually, is the full.
Well, then it should be...
If it's a wine bar, bar, and then Salona, that's a genius.
Well, it's not.
Wine bar, Salona?
Come on, guys.
I feel like I'm doing the marketing for you here.
Anyways, I want to normalize an omacase option at all restaurants, okay?
If you were a fine dining restaurant, like, so I went the other day, I went to this
amazing Thai restaurant over off of sunset called Jilt Lada.
Have you heard of this place?
No.
It was amazing.
It was fantastic.
Apparently a owner came and talked to us and was like,
did you know that they served our food at Selena and Benny's wedding?
And we're like, oh, cool.
And she's like, Benny always comes in here.
And now Selena does too.
And we're like, oh, that's awesome.
But anyways, it was, it's so good.
Like, here's the thing.
It was so authentic.
First of all, it's 9 million degrees in Los Angeles.
right? We go into this
Thai restaurant. It's in a strip mall.
It's next to like a smoke shop and
you know like another smoke shop for some reason.
And you walk in there,
AC, that's not fucking working, dude.
We're not doing that. You feel
like you're in Thailand. They sit
you down, you're all scrunched up, and then
they serve you the hottest stuff.
Straight fire for the bunghole.
But it's so good.
So we went with some Asian
friends who were like, we got to get
this and this and this and this. And I was like, this is
awesome that you guys are able to walk us through this thing. But if I wasn't here, if I was here
by myself, I wouldn't know what to order. It would be so dope if I could be like, I want the
five-course omacase meal and it's $75 or whatever. Or I want the eight-course omacase meal and it's
$100, whatever it is, you know? Yeah. You guys bring me the pig's feet, okay, I'll try it.
You know, why not? The ox tail thing, sure. I don't know. Might be good. Never tried. Bring me what
I'm supposed to have.
All right?
Your best shit.
You know what I want?
I want every restaurant to be doing their greatest hits album.
Okay?
I don't want to listen to your new music.
All right?
I want the greatest hits.
That's actually a good idea for like the name of it.
Like you can order just greatest hits and it's all the best things.
Yeah.
Speaking of greatest hits, went to the Hollywood Bowl the other day.
Oh, really?
You know, I lived so much of my life going to live music.
And then I've stopped really because I left Nashville and I don't really work in radio anymore.
But is there nothing better than going to a concert?
And I got to say, the Hollywood Bowl does it right.
Because it's technically a park, as long as it's not like a least event like by like live nation or whatever, you can bring wine and beer inside.
Yep.
Which is so great, right?
So you're kind of like picnicking out there.
We went to see, wait for it.
This is going to show you how old I am.
And I was surrounded by some old people, but it's okay.
We went to see Blues Traveler.
Oh, wow.
Gin blossoms.
Wow.
And the spin doctors.
Wow.
I mean, blast from the past.
Let me tell you what.
First of all, because there's a noise ordinance in, you know,
Hollywood. You have to stop the bowl music at like 945, right? Yes, it's a nice early show.
So it was an early show and it was also a triple bill. So like the spin doctors came and was like,
we got seven songs. These are our hits. And then like Jim Blossoms were like, we got our 10 hits.
And then and then it was awesome. I don't need to have a four hour concert.
No. Like even like even an artist that I fucking love. It's hard for me to sit through an entire concert.
if it's like an hour and half.
Like, that's crazy.
It was so much fun.
Anyways, Hollywood Bowl.
I just like, more venues should be like, you know what?
I get that they're losing money.
But like, but people are still ordering stuff there, you know?
It's like full service.
Yeah.
And I love the idea of like bringing a little picnic because the food at venues is never very good.
Yeah.
I don't normally do this, but I've been trying not to drink.
So I brought a bunch of non-alcoholic beers and then two weed sodas.
Oh.
Oh, Brandy.
I was noodling up a stool.
I was just having the best time.
I didn't care about what people were thinking of me.
I was just noodling to little miss, little miss,
little miss Camperonga.
I mean, you had to be like the youngest person there.
For sure.
There.
For sure.
But I tell you what, man.
Spin doctors?
Great energy, very fun.
Got a lot of hits.
Blues Traveler,
dear Lord,
John Popper lost a lot of weight,
still can sing and play that little harmonica
like a crazy person.
He's so good.
And the gin blossoms.
I don't think we realize
how many hits the gin blossoms have.
Yeah.
You know?
Totally.
I mean,
I was going to the show
and Sarah was like,
because it was just a boy's night,
Sarah's like,
I don't think I know the gin blossoms.
and I was like, oh, you know the gym blossoms.
And she's like, no, I don't think I do.
And I was like, I went to their Spotify page and I was like,
you know every single song on this list.
She goes, no, I don't.
So I started playing Hey, Jealousy.
She was like, oh, this was them.
And then found out about you and then follow you down.
And then until I hear it from you.
And she's like, oh, my God, Allison Road, until I fall away.
I was like, you know all these songs.
They were on every single soundtrack in the 90s.
Totally. Exactly.
Yeah.
Yeah, they were one of those bands where it was like,
They were like a sound like a like a sink.
They got synced in everything.
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah.
I missed that about the 90s.
How to do you?
Got to go back.
I know.
You have to return.
I'm also really enjoyed this, um,
Taco Bell diarrhea scare that's,
that's happening out there.
What do you mean Taco Bell?
Taco Bell.
Well,
so there's a lettuce one.
Right.
What I know about.
And then there was also one that there was like some sort of like bacteria or something in
Taco Bell meat that was giving everyone diarrhea.
Are we shocked by that?
I'm pretty sure that's always been the case.
Sarah saw that I ordered Taco Bell and I was hung over the other day and she texted me and she was like, dude, are you worried about the diarrhea?
And I was like, what are you talking about?
And she was like the diarrhea scare.
And I was like, Taco Bell always gives you diarrhea.
That's part of it.
That's like what Taco Bell.
Everybody knows that Taco Bell meat is literally like a step above dog food if that.
Yeah.
Like it's not good.
Like it would be weird if I ate Taco Bell and I didn't have explosive diarrhea.
So I just think it's normal meat.
Yeah.
What are you talking about?
I do like that.
I can't believe you still eat Taco Bell.
It's pretty wild.
Oh, my God.
It's, it's, I think it's the best, it's up there on the best, best food.
Chicken cassidia, you cannot go wrong with.
I would never eat chicken from Taco Bell.
Wow.
Would you eat beef?
I mean, I'd rather, no.
I usually just get like the fucking churros and call it a day.
No, no, no, no, no.
Yeah, yeah.
This is the play.
You get, you get a.
chicken cassidia. The canteena cassidia is pretty good as well. Then you get two soft sale
tacos, all right, just like normal seasoned beef. And then maybe a cheesy or did a crunch.
That does sound good. Oh my God. If you're hungover or if you're drunk,
there is no better food than Taco Bell. That's totally true. Or pizza. I do love pizza.
It's okay. I do. Yeah. Since it's 35 minutes in and you haven't asked about my favorite things,
is that because you've watched nothing? Basically, yeah. I mean, like I've got.
I've got like one or two things, but you got any favorite things, bro?
I do actually.
Okay.
Matt's been gone all weekend.
I binged the hell out of Little House and on the prairie.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
How is it?
Did you watch it?
No.
Oh, did you read the books when you were younger?
No.
What?
Good night, John, boy.
I have no idea.
Oh, my God.
Miley and I were literally just texting yesterday about how we read the books and we loved them when we were younger.
this is a show first of all loved the books as a kid like great great great series this show is essentially
virgin river but set in the early 1900s yeah like that's the level of you know script and acting essentially
that we're on here is virgin river and virgin river fucking kills it like they're on season like 10 so i don't
want to hear any shit but you know is is the caliber of this show up there with taylor sheridan's
Westerns, absolutely not.
But is this a feel-good, great story about settling the Wild West, this sweet, sweet family?
Yes, it is.
Are there love stories?
Yes, there are.
I just loved it.
And listen, like most of the acting's not super great.
But the one little girl that plays the younger sister, her name is Laura, I think.
She is amazing.
She is so, so, so good.
told Miley that she reminds me so much of her as a kid.
Like this reminds me of like a role Miley would have gone out for back in the day.
And there's something about this little girl that just reminds me of young Miley.
She's phenomenal.
I think this is going to be her breakout role.
I think she's going to be a huge star.
It's literally worth watching it for her.
But it's good.
Like if you, if you, I just love a story about like settling the West.
Like I'm just fascinated with that era.
And usually those stories are really fucking sad because it was just absolutely insanely
horrible back then and tough and, you know, just a lot of sad shit happening. And they like do a good job of
being realistic about how tough that was, right, to like settle, to like make your way out west
and settle some land that just like building your own house and not making your own way and catching
your own food. Like they do a good job of telling that story, but making it a feel good story too.
So it's not just so depressing. You know what I mean? The Ingalls family lives and works
in a farm in Midwestern America
during the late 19th century
Little House on the Prairie
Starring
Luke Bracey. Is he
Dreamboat? He's fine.
Crosby Fitzgerald,
Skywalker Hughes, Alice
Halsey, Cohen
Cataraff, Jacko
Sims. The names on this
show
of the act... What's the girl's name that plays Laura?
Alice. She's so cute.
There's a guy named
Migham Fliquem.
Fair Brother.
What?
McLean Fish.
These are their real names.
Okay, let's just go through the crazy ones.
Skywalker Hughes, Jacko Sims,
Meguin Fairbrother,
McLean Fish,
Cohen Catarath.
I feel like their names are cooler
than like the names in the show.
Well, the names in the show
are from back in the day
where everyone's name was like...
Ingalls.
That's her last name, yeah.
Charles and Caroline, Laura and Mary,
Caleb, Dr. George Tan.
Emily, Gemma, John, William, White Sun, Good Eagle.
Oh, these are Native Americans.
Yeah.
All right.
It's really good.
And I was worried that it was only going to be a limited series.
And I was like, and I loved it so much.
I was like, I'm just going to be so sad when this is over.
But without ruining it, they leave it to where like they can totally do another season.
Yeah.
Love that for me.
Nice.
Yeah.
Have you heard of squatter hunters?
No.
Is it people that hunt people squatting in homes?
Okay, so there's this guy.
There's this guy who's Nick, he's named himself the squatter hunter, okay?
Okay.
And so what he does, it's ingenious.
What he does, so someone will be like, I got squatters, I can't come him out of the house, you know.
So he goes, okay, this is what I want you to do.
I want you to put me on the lease, okay?
So I'm on the lease and I'm on the lease to do renovations, okay?
So that means I can do anything inside the house.
So then he comes, he breaks in.
The squatters like, what are you doing?
You got to get on my house?
And he's like, nope, I'm on the lease.
I'm your new roommate.
And they're like, what are you talking about?
They always run into their, like, into their room.
By the way, he's in full, like, cop regalia, you know?
And he's got like his two buddies.
He's got camera guys with him.
And they're like, you got to get out of here.
And he's like, no, I'm on the lease.
Show me your lease.
And of course they don't have lease because they're squatters, you know.
Right.
And so then what he does, he does.
proceeds to so he lives with them and fucks with them so he takes all the doors off of the
just oh my god because he's renovating he the only thing he can't do is he can't do the the door
off the hinges of the person's room but everyone else every other place you can so he takes all
the doors off he will put like a megaphone outside their room in the middle of night you
big plastic music.
This is amazing.
It's so great.
And they get so angry and then finally.
My question is how do they put them on camera without them signing a release?
I don't know.
You know?
I don't know.
There's this one guy who finally breaks and he's like, fine.
I'll fucking leave.
Just give me $5,000.
And he's like, no.
When he's like, okay, $3,000.
He's like, no.
He's like, okay, $2,000.
And then he just leaves.
Okay, somewhere along the way this guy had to sign a fucking release to be on the show.
I don't know.
I don't care.
Squatter hunters.
It is really smart.
It's a great idea.
It's so funny.
It is so funny.
Also, I think it's crazy that you can buy a house and someone can go live in it.
And you've got no rights.
It's insane.
I don't understand that.
I don't either.
Like, so can you, can you squat in Florida?
Because you know how, like, you know how Florida has like, stand your ground laws?
right?
Yeah.
In your house.
Well, if it's your house, I'd go in there with a gun and be like, you need to leave.
You're outstanding.
Maybe your place of residence.
I do know that there are certain states where squatters have more rights than others in California is one of the worst.
Oh, of course.
For giving, you know.
Of course.
But yeah, it's pretty fucked up.
And like, it's like, well, what's the point of a fucking lease at all if someone can just do that?
I don't get it.
It's so ridiculous.
Whoever is, like, doing the lawmaking for that.
I want to find out who that person is.
And then I want to go rent one of their properties.
And then I want to squat.
The squat.
You know, it's like, prove a point.
Yeah.
But anyways, squatter hunters.
Where do you watch this?
It's really called squatters.
It's on A&E.
Oh.
But he's the squatter hunter.
That's a good.
You know, that'd be a good Halloween costume.
100%.
Do you want to see what this guy looks like?
Yes, please.
I feel like it'll give you great joy.
Oh, wow.
This is the way that's saying he's in like full gear, dude.
Like, let's see he's got a hat.
This says get out.
That's too good.
Oh, it's so fucking funny, dude.
Where did you discover this?
TikTok.
I just saw one.
I was like, this is amazing.
And then obviously then it was like, oh, Wells is an idiot.
He likes this.
And then they kept feeding me it.
And I was like, squadronters is where it's at.
Got it.
I watched another.
thing that I really liked. Did you ever watch like the 28 days later, 28 years later,
you know, like all that? There's a new one. I didn't know that there was a new one because I watched
the last one, which was called 28 years later, came out in 2025. That one I did not watch.
It was fantastic. And then the new one, I just thought it was the same one. But this one's called 28
years later, the Bone Temple.
And I watched this on the plane.
It's a hard watch.
It's like really gruesome.
Ralph Fines is so good in it.
As Spike is inducted into Jimmy's Crystal Gang on the mainland, Dr.
Kelson makes a discovery that could alter the world.
The Bone Temple 28 years later.
It's so fun.
It's real gruesome.
Got a great ending.
And they make it so.
There's definitely going to be another one.
Like, this can keep on going forever.
Highly recommend 28 years later the Bone Temple.
Okay.
Yeah.
I don't know if I would like it, if it's that or some.
Yeah.
Well, watch this 28 years later.
Because that's about, like, this family trying to survive 28 years later.
And all the zombies have started to evolve.
And then Ralph finds is a doctor who's trying to figure out how to cure them.
Okay.
And then in this most recent one, the kind of the star kid from,
the last one, he gets
enveloped into this
gang of basically
Satan worshippers.
And anyways, so it's
fantastic. You got to check it out.
Okay. Okay.
It's, you have to watch it on, I think,
YouTube. We'll look it up.
Someone did a show called Faultless
about show jumping.
And it's kind of, I think that what they wanted
was for it to feel a little bit like
the F1 show on Netflix, you know, where for people that don't know the rules of show jumping or
don't know a lot about it, it does a good job of explaining the sport to someone that doesn't
that doesn't know anything about it. But it also is like entertaining enough to someone that does
know about the sport like me to want to watch. They do a good job of like, I guess they picked
the like, you know, top 12 writers that are competing at the top of the sport right now. And
those are like the main characters. They do a good job of kind of like telling each one's story and
and making you invested in like their story a bit,
which is what I think makes good TV, right?
I have only watched two episodes.
The only thing I wish they showed more of is more of like the prep that goes into
competition.
Like they show you the competition part.
And I just wish people could see how much goes into preparing for the minute and a half
you get to be in the show ring.
You know what I mean?
And that's something I liked about F1 was kind of seeing what the drivers have to do to prepare
to compete.
And I do wish they'd shown a bit more of that.
with this show. Maybe if it keeps going, they'll do that. If you're someone that likes drive to survive
or like what was the golf one full swing or something and like learning about a sport you don't know
as much about, I would highly suggest watching this. It's super easy to just like I pulled it up on
YouTube on my phone and just screen mirrored it to be able to watch it. And yeah, I'm just glad
someone's trying to highlight this sport that's so big in other countries and Americans just don't,
it's not mainstream here. In a partnership with Rolex, this series follows 14 of the most prominent
show jump jumping riders and their horses as they compete in the Rolex Grand Slam
and vie for the richest Grand Prix ever, the 50th anniversary Masters Tournament at Spruce Meadows.
Narrated by Walton Goggins.
Yep.
Pretty cool that they've got him on board.
Yeah, how come you don't do it?
What's going on?
Oh, I don't compete at that level.
Why not?
You can.
Well, my hip's broken, remember?
So I won't be doing that anytime.
Yeah, but we got the wet needling going on.
You're good.
Oh, my God.
wet, you know, I wish someone had made this show, you know, seven years ago when I was
competing, because I would have loved to be part of it when I was kind of like, you know, in the
thick of it and at the top of my game right now I'm not. But I feel like as I've grown up in
the sport, like I've heard of people trying to make the show and people wanting to make the show and
it just never got made. So I'm super thrilled that somebody was able to get it over the edge and
and get it greenlit, even if it is just streaming.
I think it's a great first step because there are so many parallels.
Like when I watch Drive to survive, I'm like, wow, I can relate to this so much because
of show jumping and the similarities in the sport.
And I think if people just like open their minds to it a bit that they would really love
it.
And people are so horse obsessed right now.
Maybe it's the right time to put this in front of a more of a mainstream audience.
But it's cool.
It's great too.
Like equestrian sports are one of the very few sports where the people that are competing
against each other or first of all men and women compete against each other on a level playing
field but also it's you know 19 year olds compete 19 year old girls competing against maybe like a 50 year
old man that's on this his whole life and they're competing for the same thing it's just very cool
and it's a it's a very unique sport in that way of like people aren't grouped into age groups or
gender groups like everyone just competes on the same level so guys and girls compete against
one another yeah I guess it doesn't matter because the horses are really doing all the work right
That's not true. Well, that's not true. But if you watch this sport, you'll see why. But also, you know, fascinating that the horses also like, like racing, jumping. Like, no matter of the sport, like they don't separate, you know, the mares and Geltland and stallions, like the boys and the girls. It's, it really is such a level sport. And I love that. I would just, yeah, if anybody's into the sports thing and learning more about sports like that, I would say watch it. It's very good. And I love some of the writers like I've, I've looked up to for a long time. Lily Keenan's like a really young female writer who.
who's very, very talented.
I love seeing her on there.
And yeah, I've been enjoying it.
But I think somebody that didn't know anything about show jumping would also really enjoy it.
That's awesome.
Yeah.
I have a song that I liked.
Okay.
So this is, this girl's name's Abigail Rose.
It's called Betty's in the band.
I like that.
Yeah, it's fun.
Do you find that on TikTok?
I did.
I went and looked for them on Spotify.
But I feel like if I play the TikTok sound, it's okay.
because it's just like a video, you know?
Exactly, yeah.
I don't know.
I'm trying to figure it out.
I know.
We're all just trying to figure it out.
We are.
All right.
Well, what are you got coming up?
You're still moving out?
You're still trying to figure it out?
Still trying to figure out my life.
I am playing a show this Saturday night in Belmar, New Jersey.
I think I maybe plugged this last week.
But I love playing on Jersey Shore.
It is just people go to Jersey Shore.
to fucking party and I love that.
Come party Saturday night.
It's always a late one.
I don't play until like 1 a.m.
But it's like, does anyone go to Jersey Shore to go to sleep early?
I don't think so, you know.
It's worth it.
Come party.
It's a fun spot.
It's called DJs.
I'll be there.
Yeah, Saturday.
And then I'll be back home moving out of my house for the next six weeks.
Amazing.
Yep.
Well.
Good luck.
I'm going up to Monterey for my dad's birthday party.
So that sounds fun.
All the siblings coming in, all the cousins, all the nieces and nephews and so we're going to have a big old family reunion.
That's exciting.
Yeah, it'll be a lot of fun.
Actually, I'm very excited about it.
I like hanging out with all the nieces and nephews because I got 10 of them.
Wow, that's crazy.
I know.
And I got a couple that are in college.
So, like, that's an interesting time to talk to people about, like, their lives, you know.
And then like a bunch that are in high school and then a bunch that are in middle school.
and then a bunch that are like, you know, kids, like,
and they all like each other, which is interesting.
That is crazy.
I know.
This is a very foreign concept of the Cyrus family.
Yeah, no, we are like weirdly healthy family relations.
Fascinating.
I know, exactly.
So that's it.
That's all I got going on right now.
Okay, well, cool.
Enjoy Monterey.
All right.
Well, enjoy Jersey Shore.
Oh, I will.
Okay.
Someone's going to steal my Omikaze idea.
I guarantee.
A thousand percent.
Yeah.
It's such a good idea.
It's a great idea.
I hope they do steal it.
I do too.
I'm not going to do it.
I just want it to be an option for me.
Yeah.
And maybe give me a little discount because I came up with that, you know?
Yeah, maybe a free meal or two.
Yeah, just a free couple of the tries, you know, a couple of things.
Yeah.
See you later.
See you later.
Bye.
I'm Audit Cornish.
I'm Ari Shapiro, and it's engagement party.
And we get to talk about what we're obsessed with, what we're engaged with,
what we need to process with a friend.
Big question.
Are we running out of protein?
That was a question that the Atlantic recently posed.
Wait, I want to share my headline.
No way.
Get it?
W-H-E-Y?
Like you clear in both physical and psychological space for that joke.
Follow engagement party.
Wherever you get your podcasts.
