Hello, everybody, and welcome back to your stupid opinions.
Hey!
Here we are.
Thank you so much for joining us today.
My name is James Petro Gallo.
I'm here with my co-host.
I'm Jimmy Wiseman.
And we're going to talk about more people's shit.
That's all it is.
There's nothing else, no other way to put it, except people's complaints, grievances, and praises that we couldn't care less about.
for places that we definitely don't want to go.
So that's what we're doing here,
and it's a lot of fun,
and we can't wait to do it.
Before we get started,
if you'd like,
head over to shut up
and give me murder.com.
You can get all the info,
merchandise,
tickets to small-town murder live shows.
Oh, by the way,
listen to our other podcasts,
crime in sports,
and small-town murder.
Small-town murder is also available
on Netflix twice a week.
Oh, yeah.
So check that out.
And it's exactly what they sound like,
except really funny, too.
So do that, but do that later,
because right now we're going to talk about people's reviews.
Let's find out what people think.
We're heading back to the Haunted Hills Estate Scream Park that we finished up with last week.
This is in Fayette County, Pennsylvania over here.
Union Town, Pennsylvania, to be specific.
And we started last week and people were disappointed with certain aspects of it, as you can imagine.
And basically, every week here in October, we'll do, you know, we'll touch on another.
haunted thing here.
So let's start out with eridaja.
What the fuck?
E-R-R-I-D-A-J-H-A.
That's a fun name.
Yeah, I had no plan for it.
I just looked at it and started talking.
You need to formulate a plan before you go into that name, and I didn't do that.
One Star had a really high expectation, but this year it was a disappointment.
I get that it's early in the season, but being approached by the only.
immediately and being told, quote, my insurance doesn't allow pregnant women to walk through.
Was really unsettling.
That is great.
Hey, listen, we can't cover that.
You know, I like how they're like, who else don't they cover?
Are they watching the crowd going, I see a guy with a limp, go grab him, pull him out.
Pull him out of the line.
Get him out.
Hear that wheeze?
That guy's got C-O-P-D.
We can't let him out of the line.
Telling you.
Walking through the attractions was fun and interactive.
The most negative thing about this place is the owner.
Yes.
Which seems to be a lot of these places.
They're like their own little personal fiefdoms.
Yeah.
These haunted parks and it's so weird.
Surely, one star.
The worst, all caps, scare attraction.
One, two, three, four, five, six exclamation points.
The worst.
The worst.
Wurst.
Worst, bought two VIP tickets, $100.
Jesus, that's pricey.
And that is theme parts.
What do you get?
What do you get extra?
You get a meet and greet?
Maybe you go to the front of the line.
That sucks.
Something like that, maybe.
To pay extra is wild.
That's crazy.
And was to include six attractions, no waiting in line.
That's what it is.
You go around the line.
And a lanyard.
I don't know what that does for you.
You look VIP that way.
Yeah, you look important as you go around the line.
I got two attractions instead of six as four were closed.
Well, then, why'd you sell it for six?
That's a dumb thing that they did there.
Not these people, the place itself.
Yep, you guessed it.
No lanyards.
So they got, you're supposed to get six attractions,
lanyards, and no line.
They got two attractions, no lanyard.
Wow.
Two attractions.
I worked extra hours to buy these tickets.
Oh, God.
That, yeah, that just made me very sad and depressed.
Yeah, don't do that.
I just got no humor came out.
I just got sad when I heard that.
Literally was like, oh, that's so sad.
Someone going, I'm saving up, I'm buying the VIP tickets.
I'm going to have the best time.
They really, this was their whole thing.
And they, they directed so much energy toward this.
An extra shift with my kids at home.
That's what I see.
Yes.
I see neglected children so that this lady can...
I see neglected children heating up banquet frozen dinners in the microwave because
moms at work tonight.
We're going to the scare park.
We're going to the scare park.
Mommy's going to have fun little guys on their heads.
I just feel sad when I read this.
This is bad.
And oh my God, I worked extra hours to be able to buy these tickets and be able to take a night
off for Halloween fun.
Oh, no.
I am so dissatisfied and disappointed.
I think it is worse the sheer greed of the woman owner that I spoke with that she did not understand the problem.
If I could give a negative number in review, I would have.
Wow, that's a lot.
Buyers, beware, take your money to a more professional and authentic scare attraction.
I'm just so sad for Shirley.
I want to send her a ticket to a better one or something.
She deserves better than this.
Shirley, if you're listening and you can prove your Shirley, I won't give your last name,
we'll buy you a ticket to the scare attraction of your choice on us, okay?
Literally, I feel terrible right now.
That was from five years ago.
I don't know if she's still into this sort of thing, but if you are, Shirley.
She may not even be alive.
Shirley could be long dead by now.
We have no idea.
Brenda, one star, not the best I've been to, especially for that high price.
and my boyfriend was cut
after an actor banged metal together
as part of his act
and a piece of it flew at his face
cutting his nose and leaving a mark.
Oh my God.
What was he slapping together?
Metal things, enough to break a chunk of metal?
To break one.
Wow, calm down.
Chill out.
To break off with enough force and velocity
to gash somebody's fucking nose?
This place is a fucking nightmare.
Wow.
Pregnant women being kicked down.
out, people bleeding from the face.
Some fucking poor chick with a one night off from the Circle K,
which you've saved up for.
This is so sad.
Yeah.
I was also touched by actors.
I've been too much better haunted houses.
Yeah.
I don't like that.
My monsters can touch you, but don't touch them.
No touching.
That's weird.
That is weird.
I don't get how people, okay, maybe it depends on how you grow up or where you grew up or whatever.
But reflexively, if I don't expect someone to touch me,
and they grab me, I swing my fist at them.
It's just a reflex.
I punch you because I'm just...
I'm fighting back.
Yeah, I don't know if that's whatever...
It's just survival at that point.
High school or whatever it is, but like still stuck in there.
But I can't trust myself to not punch you by accident,
just as a reflex of you grab my arm and now I'm punching you.
So that would be horrible.
I don't know how they don't get punched a lot, put it that way.
Molly, one star, this haunted house was absolutely terrible.
Not only were the attractions not...
scary whatsoever. While waiting for an attraction, I got a rope tied around my neck. Okay, that's not
part of the show at all. That's attempted murder. That's crazy. Yeah. That is aggravated assault
at the least. That's wild. And when I moved forward, the rope just got tighter and strangled me.
That's because it's tied to something else right there. It's fucking crazy. If someone's
holding it, wow. The workers there refunded me $5 of a $20 ticket. They probably just went in their pocket and
We fucked up.
It started, you got five.
You got five on it, man.
And had, did not care at all that their employees put a prop around my neck, which caused strangulation.
Jesus Christ.
Don't waste your money.
As you can see, there is slight bruising and discoloration on my neck.
Oh, she's got photos.
Yeah, this is like, we're talking bruise neck, cut face.
Yeah.
Pregnant women sitting in a parking lot waiting for their friends to finish this place.
That's like a nightmare right.
Now, poor Susan going back to work, just distraught while her kids starve.
Feel terrible.
Was it Susan?
What the hell is her name?
Shirley, Shirley.
Shirley.
Shirley.
The next person's name is Susan.
That's where I got that from.
Susan, one star.
I took one look.
Wow.
I took one, took one look.
That's her sentence.
I took one, took one look.
I took one, took one look.
She's singing a song, I think.
This is lyrics.
I took one.
I took one.
I took one.
At this place.
And the first thing that popped in my mind was that one guy talking about haunted house fires.
Who?
What guy?
What the fuck are you talking about?
Where'd that come from?
I don't know, man.
I entered the main.
Someone better be on fire by the end of this review.
Let's put that way.
Is this like a local person that talks about fires?
I don't know.
Some guy who goes to the schools and.
You know that guy.
You know the guy, the fire guy.
I entered the main he has a hat card if you hit on it
you get a rubber jacket
you know that guy I entered the main attraction
after standing after about standing there
in line for an hour or so
her words are all jumbled
she's this place has ruined her
she puts a sentence in a quezon art and just whatever
comes out fucking boom there we go
set
proceeded into the main attraction
which I noticed as a barn
walk through time four minutes.
What I did notice right away was that there was no sprinkler system.
Okay.
Oh, you're looking for the safety to make sure that it is a at-co?
You're looking for code.
This is the fire marshal Susan over here.
She's going to make sure.
It's a fucking barn.
It's a temporary thing that they put up.
Any barn that I see, I assume not to code.
Probably not to code.
There is exposed to electrical all over that wooden motherfucker.
Wedding venues.
haunted houses, all of it.
Probably not up to code.
Why?
Because it's a big bar.
You can just walk right out if it's on fire.
You're not trapped in there.
It's on a building.
There's no doors that lock.
So yeah, I don't know what's going on here.
Unless something's currently on fire,
I don't really give a shit about any of this.
Don't care.
Yeah.
Walk through time.
Okay.
It's no sprinkler system.
I would not recommend this tinder box waiting to happen.
Wow.
She acts like it was on fire.
And they were like, shut up.
It's fine.
To any children or adults for that matter,
for that matter.
Thank, thank you,
haunted Hills Estate for inviting me.
Okay.
Oh, they invited.
Invited you.
Please get the sprinkler system up and working.
Safety is your number one priority, all caps.
Is it?
Wow.
A godlike one star.
Oh, at least they're,
we're not arrogant at all.
What is it?
Godlike.
That's the name.
Oh, Godlike.
God leave.
Like it was just their last name or something.
God like.
Godlike.
One star.
Worst hauntinging.
Haunted house will never, ever go back.
Got spit on.
That doesn't seem, that's scary, I guess, if you're worried.
I'm scared of diseases, so there you go.
That'll work.
That's not good.
No automations were working.
Actors sitting down.
I wish I could give zero stars.
That's not going to say it.
This haunted attraction claims to be one of Pittsburgh's scariest
attractions, and honestly, it was trash.
And they have made sure that you realize that
with the emoji of a trash can next time.
Just in case you can't read.
I've been to backyard haunts better than this place with less budget.
And the owner is a rude cat lady that runs the no refund disclaimer like it's a holy grail to this shitty place.
She's a cat lady.
And evidently that's an insult.
That's an insult.
Hey, fuck you.
I like cats.
Eat dicks.
How about that?
That's the problem.
Yeah.
Needless to say, I will not be back, nor will anyone I know.
Oh, I'm going to tell everybody.
Tell everyone about it.
I'm buying billboards in this motherfucker.
I'm going to start with Google and branch out from there.
Yeah.
This is why backyard haunts.
Maybe like my house.
I have, we do a thing for the kids of my family in my woods.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, where Sarah spends two months setting up all this awesome shit.
It's really cool, but I mean, it takes a lot of work she puts into it.
It's just for the family.
It's just for the family.
Yeah.
We don't want any strangers on the property.
No, no, no.
It's just for, we have little kids in the family and we build it and they have fun.
You'll just get sued one day.
Yeah.
And we play tricks on each other the whole way.
You know, me and my brother will sneak off and my cousin Brian will sneak off and fucking scare the ladies.
And, you know, it's fun.
It's good times.
Yeah.
Mrs.
Anonymous, one star.
Uh-oh.
Ended up.
Oh, my God.
Ended up calling the police after an actor spit in mine in my husband's face.
Apparently that's a move that they employ here.
Just spit at you.
That's scary?
You're scared?
They go, poof, I have hepatitis.
And you go, oh, God.
I'm scared.
Mine of my husband's face after telling him to back away from being inches away from my mouth.
Yeah.
Back up and they spit on you.
Okay.
The owner had enough nerve to say it was our opinion.
What?
That you were spit on?
Spitting on. Well, that's your opinion.
That's your opinion.
Spitting on someone isn't part of a haunted house.
That's your opinion.
Depends on what you find scary.
That is definitely your opinion.
That is your opinion, sir.
Do yourself a favor and do not waste your money there.
Okay. Holy shit.
There's some problems going on there.
Okay, let's get out of there.
We're all scared.
We're covered in hepatitis spit.
Things are bad.
We have cut faces.
our pregnant women folk are sleeping out in the car while we enjoy the time in there.
We've been burned to it, just a cinder in there, and it caught on fire.
So let's get out of there.
Let's go get ourselves some booze.
What do you say?
Yeah.
Let's head to a self-proclaimed redneck bar.
Oh.
Here we go.
Oh, yeah.
This is a terrifying place.
Pops Saloon.
Old Pops here.
This is at 2636, South Gallatin Street.
in Jackson, Mississippi.
Okay.
Casual popular bar with live entertainment,
a dance floor, and six pool tables.
That is the description that they give.
It has 3.9 stars on Google.
Three point nine stars for a bar.
Literally.
A place that serves booze.
Buy booze, get fucked up.
Get fucked up while music plays.
It's probably one of the harder venues
to get an accurate star.
Oh, yeah.
reflection because your opinion of your evening has been skewed by alcohol.
By anything that happened is you don't even know what happened.
Right.
Your memories might not be quite there.
That's amazing.
The whole thing is crazy and you have to deal with that.
And they have to manage the fucking ratings.
They have to argue with people, which is even funny.
All right.
Well, let's find out what people think of this place because it varies greatly.
Put it that way.
It really varies greatly.
It sounds like this place sounds like it would be too rednecky for you.
You wouldn't like it.
You'd walk in and go, oh, God, this is.
And for me, this sounds like a nightmare.
It sounds like the record scratch sound would come on if I walked in there.
And they'd be like, where the fuck are you?
Where are you from?
Some kind of, I'll use the line from that guy in North Carolina.
You're some kind of tall Mexican or something?
A guy in North Carolina.
A guy in North Carolina.
Caroline asked me, are you some kind of tall Mexican or something when he saw my last name?
And I was like, sure, why not?
Sure.
Are you?
Or something.
Or something.
That's something.
Some kind of tall Mexican or something.
And he said it with just the most deadpan face.
Yeah.
What are you?
Some kind of tall Mexican or something?
Like, curious, but not that curious.
Or something.
Or something.
Or something.
I like some kind of.
And or something.
Those are the two ones I like the best out of that.
So, Pamela.
here. Pamela with all A's. P-A-M-A-M-A-L-A.
Pamela. Not even Pamela, like you said.
Yeah, what is that? That's crazy. That's not really spelled Pamela.
No, five stars. Love this place. Well, yeah, you don't know how to spell your name. Of course you like it.
That's right. Makes sense. We were visiting from Louisiana so we didn't know what to expect from a Mississippi, quote, redneck bar, as I heard it described.
Oh, boy. Like they don't have those in Louisiana?
What are we talking about?
The drinks were super cheap and the band was amazing.
We were on the dance floor almost the whole night.
It was a pretty rowdy and friendly crowd and we had a great time.
All right.
Yeah, okay.
People were nice to women in a bar, strange.
Right.
Weird.
Shocking.
Yeah.
Carnaca.
Women will either be a great time or someone will grope them and it will be terrible.
But there's no in between.
With men, it's mostly just bad.
And that's the same.
for haunted houses. Same for
exactly. Exactly. Totally.
Same thing. Carnica
five stars. It's never a dull
moment whenever I go.
The crowd, there's no
punctuation, first of all, and most of these
words are misspelled. So,
the crowd and atmosphere,
there's no E on the end, I'm just saying
atmosphere. The atmosphere.
They've done got it down here.
The atmosphere.
They sounded that one out.
Yeah, atmosphere. There it is.
Perfect.
The Axfer.
Helps create a real turn-up if you're looking to have a good time.
Oh, boy.
Helps create a real turn-up.
Yep.
Not turn-up.
Not turn-up.
Turn-up.
Not turn-up.
A real turn-up.
If you're looking to have a good time.
Yeah.
It's not a misspelling of turnips.
No.
No, but it's not.
Mike five stars.
Yeah.
Jimmy Stevenson, owner.
You know, Jimmy Steverson over here.
Jimmy Stevenson owner has put an amazing effort into this not club since his father, Pops, passed away.
Pops is gone and now the son, he's got to own it.
He's got to run it.
Major improvements to air quality, security, interior, and exterior upgrades, a sound system with a lot of new entertainment venues.
Venues, are you talking about?
I don't know.
Update.
Pops Saloon is operating with new owners.
Oh, venues.
update. Venue. Oh, with new
entertainment venues. No, that's a period.
Separate sentence. Update.
Pops Saloon is operating with new owners.
So apparently, Jimmy Stevenson
said, I don't want any part of this no more.
I'm going to sell this bar.
He done sold it to new owners.
And that was about five years ago. That happened.
Pops's boy had fucking walked
out. Now Pops
and Jr. have walked away.
Well, Pops didn't walk away. He
fell away, really, if you want to be
technical. I mean, he walked away, the hardest way.
The longest walk he took.
Lawrence, four stars.
Sam is a great bartender.
Oh, okay.
I like cheers too.
Okay.
Oh, she demonstrates both professional charisma and downhome feels with a Z.
Oh, okay.
With a Z, you know, cool feels.
This place is outrageous.
This is wild.
I'm a road warrior.
This is a trucker, that's what he is.
It's rare to drop in as an unfamiliar.
and receive hometown treatment.
Thank you.
Is that what they are calling themselves?
Road warriors.
I'm a road warrior.
Euphemisms are fun, aren't they?
People make themselves feel better.
There's nothing warrior.
No.
That's like a grizzled road dog.
You drive a truck.
That's like a comedian saying, I'm an artist.
Like, shut the fuck up.
You know you're not.
Get a paintbrush or shut up.
And you are not a road warrior.
I'm a stage soldier.
Good guy.
This guy, mount a 50 caliber machine gun to the top of your cab or shut the fuck up.
I don't want to hear about it.
Taking pot shots of people all day.
Goddamn.
Road warrior.
Thank you for the respite, lovely lady.
All right.
Sam is a lovely lady.
You provided exactly the environment I was looking for.
I hope to hear that singing voice someday.
He wants to fuck Sam.
Yeah, he does.
Yeah.
He's flirting with her over review.
Like, she's like, oh, can't wait for him to come back.
Yeah.
Okay.
David, four stars.
Good old O-L-E.
Like, Ole Miss.
Yeah.
Old boy.
Like, Old Miss, the college.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Good old boy.
Good old redneck bar.
Local crowd, pool,
dancing, live bands on the weekend.
This place is historic.
Yeah.
By the way, the place, it looks like.
It could not look worse, first of all.
From the outside, it looks like a storage building just stuck in the middle of nowhere.
It's just like it looks awful.
Just like an old, like a tool shed?
Kind of, but like made out of regular materials, not corrugated steel, but it's got that look to it.
Like it's, they store, awares of some kind in there.
Amazing.
And it's got in front of the regular doors, it has the actual, like, saloon looking doors there.
Yeah.
Because it's a saloon, I guess.
I don't know.
Amanda, three stars.
There we go.
It does have live music in late hours.
Okay.
Yeah.
But they really should offer food and liquor.
Right.
They have liquor.
I don't know what's...
Does this person think it's just beer and wine?
I don't know.
I'm not sure.
They should offer food.
Yeah, well, what's the point otherwise?
It's just a room to stand in where nothing happens.
It does attract a variety of people, which can be scary at times.
It reminds me of the movie Roadhouse.
That's not a compliment, by the way, if you've ever seen Roadhouse, for all the fights, but minus the Patrick Swayze that kicks ass if you get out of line.
So it's just an out of control mess.
It's Roadhouse before Swayze showed up.
When Terry Funk was the lead bouncer, that's who it is.
That's Roadhouse that he was in that movie.
Yeah, it was a nightmare and horrible.
Wow. Trevor and Crystal are great at taking care of guests. Wow. Will return just wish I could order shots with my beers. Apparently they did not have liquor. They had beer. Just beer. That is a crazy. That's a redneck bar right there. But you also, it's also, it's a redneck bar that only to only do that. But it's also super redneck of your audience to want shots with their beers.
Yeah, not, I wanted a martini.
She was like, why can't I get a Jim Beam with my Coke?
Why can't I sit here?
Shoot my tequila with my chorus.
And chase that motherfucker.
That's what I'm trying to do.
That's a good point, man.
Yikes.
David, one star, way too smoky and way too dark in the dancing.
In the dancing side, the bass and music will wear W-A-R-E-U-out.
Where are you out?
Where are you out?
Wow.
I don't go to warehouses because I don't have that much energy.
I'm just tired when I see the sign, even.
They will wear you out.
That is awesome.
Wow.
Cause it too loud for that small of the place.
Right.
I'm going to read that entire thing again.
Please do.
And by the way, all the twos, meaning too much are all T.
They're all one-off.
Way too smoky and way too dark.
in the dancing side, the bass and music will wear you out because it too loud for that small of the place.
Fucking A.
Oh, man, David.
Holy shit.
Need to get rid of the bands because people want to dance and not everyone wants to dance to the bands.
I don't like the live music that they, that's what he's generally trying to get across.
Just play Outcast and just rose up.
I'll just dance.
Over and over again.
That's fine.
I don't think that's the song these people.
want to hear, by the way.
No.
Not at all.
They want Rosa Parks for a different reason.
Yeah.
Yeah, exactly.
Like, yeah, back of the bus.
Yeah, get the hell back there.
What the hell is fucking bitch not listening all the time.
Pops also needs to close at a better hour, no later than three.
Jesus.
People start to leave around 2.30 anyway.
Yeah.
Place needs to be better lighted and make all smoking done outside.
No one wants to go home smelling.
like smoke.
Okay.
Are they still doing that?
This was years ago, but yeah.
And they were still smoking.
There's still states where you can have smoking in your bar if you want to.
When was that review?
This is 11 years ago.
Oh, shit.
Pops was still alive, for Christ's sake.
Yeah, Atlanta just stopped it like five years ago.
Three years ago.
That was a shame.
We were in Philly, though, and we could smoke in a bar.
That was fun.
I don't know if you're allowed to, but they allowed you to.
Yeah, they just turn a blind eye, I think.
They just do it.
That was wild.
They're doing that today.
Pittsburgh does it too.
There's a lot of places in Pennsylvania that are just public bars and they're like, say something.
Yeah.
Fuck it.
We're all drunk in here.
You want come in here and start something?
Go ahead.
I swear to God, I'll put my cigarette out in your fucking eye.
That's what it feels like.
You've seen now Jalen Hertz is playing.
I will fight you.
I will fight you.
That's why we love Philly.
I love Philly.
Yeah.
Okay.
All spoke guys.
Pops also needs to get rid of the...
Oh my God.
Uh-oh.
Those
Those is spelled
T-H-O-U-S
Thou's
Thou's
Oh boy
David, you fucking moron
I'm sorry, you're a fucking moron
I'll give you where
This is beyond
Thou
Need to get rid of
Thou's concert speakers
And get some smaller ones
The ones in there
Way too big
For the size of the building
I should have read the entire review in that voice, by the way.
Yeah, if only we knew they were going to do it.
Madison, one star, and this is funny because this is clearly a younger woman who went in there,
and this isn't made for her, essentially.
This is for people that are here to forget.
This is not a college bar, put it that way.
One star, horrible and nasty place.
I understand it's a bar for older people,
but this is more like a place for creeps to hang out.
Yes.
Yes.
You walked into that.
That's the point.
They were being creeps all on their own without you.
And then you walked in and you're like, ew, creeps are like, well, fucking doors that way.
This is a creep bar.
They started drooling like pennywise when you walked in.
You should have known.
From the fangs.
They're like, this is a creep bar.
That's what this is.
If you don't like it, you should go to a different bar.
It's not a creep bar.
When they started calling you meat.
Why didn't you leave?
They started calling you words like delicious.
You should have left then.
Staff is horrible and rude.
Worst experience I've had in a while.
If you're looking for a good night,
choose anywhere but this place.
This is a mistake for a young woman.
This is not where you should be going.
Vanessa, one star.
These are fun.
Terrible place unless you want to catch some kind of disease.
Then it's great.
And then it's the best.
You're going to super easy catch a bunch of diseases.
I like that.
Lori, one star, upset.
They didn't tell me about no beer till after they took my money.
He said, I'll have a beer.
And they said, that'll be $4.
And they were like, we ain't got no beer.
That's the transaction I saw happening there.
Has to be.
That's the only way it could happen.
What other?
Unless they gave her a beer for the $4 and it was flat, like it was fucked up.
They said no beer.
Didn't tell me about no beer till after they took my money.
Didn't.
Oh, maybe there's a cover charge?
How else?
They can't take your money for beer and then not give you a beer.
How did they quote you a price?
Right.
What did you, what does that quote from?
You ordered something, and then they.
told you it costs a certain amount of money.
This is how commerce works.
And then you hand in the money and they give you the product.
It can't just be.
You order something.
Yeah.
Would you like a beer?
I'd like a beer.
Great.
That'll be $4.
Terrific.
Thank you.
And then that's the end of it.
There's another step.
There's no business.
Dive bars have got to stop charging covers.
That's something that I've noticed.
It's so common now to walk into a piece of shit.
Yeah.
There's no attraction here.
The only reason I'm here is to walk up to that bar and order drinks, and you're going to charge me for the privilege of that?
Are they doing that to offset the cost of the live bands, do you think?
There's no music.
That's ridiculous then.
They're offsetting the...
They're offsetting the...
I think what they're trying to do is just keep so many people from coming in.
Maybe. Maybe that's what it is.
Essentially...
Imagine having a business that you've got to charge people to hopefully make someone.
walk away.
Well, here's the only way you should charge a cover for any kind of nightlife.
A, if there's a really, really like an expensive and decent band, understandable.
Or, or if there's tons of hot women in there.
Otherwise, you have nothing to charge for.
You have a room that you sell booze in.
That's the thing.
Because in clubs, people pay money to go in clubs because there are hot women in there.
That's why they're going in there.
No other reason.
They don't want to fucking dance.
They can drink cheaper and better somewhere else with their friends.
They want to get laid.
So, all right, Kyra.
Kyra, Kyra, Kira, something.
If I could give one star, I would.
I would.
You did.
You gave it one star.
If I could give it one star, I did.
Oh, she meant if I could give it zero stars.
If I could give it one star, I did.
When she did, or I would, but she did.
She did it.
Dangerous establishment.
The new owner is a disgrace and the things they allow now are just absolutely revolting.
What does that mean?
And then she stops and doesn't tell us what the revolting things are.
Yeah, that's a lot of hyperbole.
Holy shit.
That's a headline, you know, awful, deadly disease, rampant.
And then no information afterwards.
Just the headline.
So, yeah, new ownership, apparently six months ago, there's new ownership.
And then finally, Stephen from three months ago, one star, all caps, not a saloon.
No.
That's it.
Get those doors off the building.
That's all it is.
Okay.
So we don't want to drink there.
We've tried.
That was a...
Had enough of drinking there.
That was a bit of a nightmare.
Yeah.
We can't get any liquor.
We're having a problem here.
So let's go, just take our booze and go drink in the park.
What do you say?
All right.
Let's do it.
We're going to Lester Park.
Lester L-E-S-T-E-R, not like England, Lester.
This is in Ogden, Utah.
Oh, it's got to be beautiful, then.
Not really.
No?
No, no.
Luckily, Utah, they like to act like everything's pretty there,
but they got as much trash as anybody else.
That's the fun part.
Yeah.
So this place is at Lester Park,
663-24th Street, Ogden, Utah,
has 3.8 stars on Google.
Google. It's a park. That's not good. It doesn't seem like it's very good for a park, right?
For a public park? Yeah, it's free. Just walk in there. How bad could it be? Let's find out here.
Cindy, five stars. I was parked on the street waiting to pick someone up. The park is beautiful and looks well maintained.
Some sketchy looking people, so I probably wouldn't go there with kids. All right. Yeah, that's just, that's called a park.
That's a park. Every park, yeah. Danta, five stars.
peaceful park.
The restrooms are closed, though,
so walk to the library.
Yeah.
Yes.
Mike five stars.
Great park.
There's an AA meeting there
at seven in the pavilion
every night except for Thursday.
Yeah.
Every night?
Every night.
It's a great park.
They couldn't...
Wow.
How the fuck do you not be able
to find a church to use in Utah?
Yeah.
One thing you guys are lousy with
that's church is full of that fucking church.
That's where they usually have that.
Don't they?
All right.
Because if you're at the park having an AA meeting,
there's people shooting up 30 feet from you.
Is that?
Maybe that's part of it, temptation.
A.A. is a religious thing.
Do that shit under the roof of something.
I mean, there's so much Jesus involved in it.
They try to say that the A.A.
pisses me off because they try to say it's,
and I know a lot of people have done it.
It's been great for them.
Whatever works for you.
It's great.
We have to say a disclaimer beforehand.
My brother went to AA and me, but, but, but I get it.
We find.
It's terrific.
I don't like that it is a religious thing, but they say it's not.
Well, you don't have to be religious.
Just come in and say you believe in God and, you know, then just that's fine.
Like, no, motherfucker.
You don't get it.
It's like, well, no, that's all you can do.
So just say you believe in God and it's fine.
Just like, no, I'm not joining your fucking cult.
I'm not doing it, motherfucker.
It's when it's super involving Jesus, then.
Just come to the church and we'll talk about Jesus and you find God and it's not religious.
It's like, no, everything you just described is religious.
What are you talking about?
And they also have the same exact success rate as doing absolutely nothing.
Nothing.
Five percent of you can stop if you do nothing and just quit and sit on your couch and watch TV and eat ice cream or obsessively go to a park every day of the week and talk about Jesus with a bunch of fucking people that are six months behind on their child support.
Either way, same success rate.
Depends on the person, though.
Perfect.
All right.
So there's an AA meeting there.
So if you struggle with drinking and want to catch a meeting, 7 p.m., there's one at this park.
And it's just, and it just has an awesome vibe in the middle of town.
Okay.
The park has an awesome vibe.
Or the AA meeting.
I'm not sure which one.
I'm not positive.
Okay.
Thomas four stars.
Cool park down.
downtown central Ogden area, need public library.
Right.
Well, I thought they had one, they said before.
Is that why?
If you need it, go there?
Maybe you need the shittery you go there.
Levi, three stars.
Be careful.
I had my wife go with our daughter to the bathroom
because a lot of homeless have been hanging around.
So not to send the daughter to the bathroom alone,
is what he's saying.
There's homeless people.
Take our daughter and go look out and go investigate.
Sacrifice her.
Yeah, if you need to, shove her forward and run.
Give an offer.
Yeah.
Normally one or two is not a issue.
But there was someone actively camping out in the bathroom.
Well, you can't do that.
That's, you know, outside.
They decide to live in the bathroom.
I took my daughter to go get her license the other day at the DMV.
There was a man, a homeless man, shaving in the bathroom.
Oh, man.
The DMV.
The DMV.
I guess it's a public building.
It is.
It's a city building.
You can just do whatever you need to do there.
But it was wild.
I walked into the bathroom and he goes, he turns around with a full face of, of, of, shaving cream.
Hand soap.
Wow.
Hand soap bubbles on his face.
Soft soap bubbles.
Oh, I'm so sorry.
The soap is over there.
And he moved out of the way for me.
I was like, you're not hurting anything, anything funny.
And I wash my hands.
I was like, I got to go.
I don't want to be near you anymore.
At least him, I understand.
He's got nowhere else to go.
Yeah.
I don't like when I'm in the airport and people are doing like home bathroom shit in the airport.
It's like, how long have you been flying?
What's going on?
Why are you ironing in here?
Yeah.
What the fuck are you doing?
Why are you shaving the dead skin off your feet in the middle of the bathroom?
What is happening right now?
How long have you been?
gone. Is that a steamer? Yeah, what are you doing, sir? It's wild. All right. So, someone camping in the
bathroom. And according to my wife, a man was waiting behind a trash can, waiting to do what? We never
know. Just waiting back there. Just sitting there waiting. Waiting. When he saw my nine-year-old
got up real quick. Then we noticed my wife sat right back down. Then when he noticed my wife sat right
back down just as quick.
Like he was like, oh, going to go molest that kid?
Oh, never mind.
Sat down.
She's being watched.
Damn it.
Every, everyone has a reason.
I get that.
A reason for what?
I don't know.
I don't know what this person is talking about.
But safety being an issue at a public park during the free meals for kids should
never come up.
Kids should feel safe.
Be careful and watchful.
Just remember, everyone has a reason and be safe.
What is that mean?
It's the thing.
I thought it was a mistake.
Like he put it in for something and didn't finish his sentence.
But that's clearly a thing that he says all the time.
Everybody, well, everyone has a reason.
And then he walks away.
He might have a tick.
I had a friend whose dad used to just say, and so like that.
And he would say it all the time.
Really?
My grandmother says, like I say.
And she says, like I say, as like a fill phrase.
It's her Bill Cosby saying now.
Yeah.
It's that.
Yeah.
She goes, like I say.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's fun.
Someone's taste at the app.
Like I say, I got to go to the grocery store because, like I say, I'm going to make a pot roast try.
When did you say that?
What are you talking about?
Did I miss that part?
Where about that?
It loses all fucking meaning.
Yeah, when people have a weird catchphrasing.
Everyone has a reason.
Everyone has a.
Is that an AA slogan maybe?
I'm not sure.
It might be.
There we go.
Sinclair, three stars.
Safe.
Dot, dot, dot.
Enough.
Safe enough.
Don't go without someone with you, especially later on.
I know of this park from a nearby school.
There are a lot of homeless people.
Maybe things have changed since 2012.
A lot of things have changed since 2012.
Oh, boy, has it.
I'm certain.
Don't get on the internet, man.
Yeah, it's way different now.
It's crazy.
Holy shit.
But quite honestly, they were so.
harmless that we even nicknamed them.
Listerine, Jack,
Shulis, Sally.
Well, at least they're kind.
Kind and fun ones.
And the Ratchet Sisters,
not homeless, but local thieves.
This sounds just like a fun night over here.
It's like,
they got like the hamburger and the fucking grimace.
It's like the McDonald's crew here is what they got.
The Ratchet Sisters is fun.
Ratchet sisters are hanging out with Shulis Sally
while Listerine Jack comes on over.
This sounds like a good time.
Also, there's a guy who would throw knives at a specific time while crying like clockwork every Saturday.
That's the greatest thing in the world.
What?
I would bring popcorn for that shit.
Like, oh, here he comes.
Knife guy's coming again.
Get the fuck out of there.
Crying and throwing knives.
That's a bad guy.
That's the second most disturbing thing I've ever heard of at a park.
There's that.
The most disturbing thing I've ever seen was a man.
by himself, right by where I lived at 7th Avenue, Camelback there in Phoenix, flying a kite at night.
There's no more disturbing sight than a fucking, a single man flying a kite at 10 o'clock at night by himself in a park.
There's something wrong there.
Something's going on.
It's creepy.
It's up to how you can't even see it.
It was fucking weird, dude.
I had a whole thought, believe me, had a whole stand-up joke about what the fuck that guy was thinking.
how he got to that point.
That could be a fun, scary movie scene, too,
if you're just like flying a kite
and then it just gets yanked out of your hand.
You know what I mean?
The string is cut or something.
It's way up there and something cut it.
How did that happen?
Wasn't there a Simpsons joke about that?
There's something unsettling about flying a kite at night
and then Bart was outside looking all creepy flying a kite.
I'm pretty sure.
Okay, so guy throws knives like clockwork every Saturday.
Otherwise, it's okay in numbers.
There's space if you want to set up a large gathering for sports.
The grounds are kept up okay.
The playground equipment was sort of rusty, though, and I've even gotten cut.
You should check out the local public garden.
It's nice, and there's a picnic space.
Okay.
Luke, three stars.
I did chin-ups on the playground equipment early in the a.m.,
while the homeless people were still asleep.
Surrounded by senior living centers is not a hot local spot,
and the bathrooms were locked so everyone just peed on the building.
Oh, nice.
You're kind of asking for that.
You have an internal clock.
Yeah.
You see a bathroom and you go, I'll be peeing in 30 seconds.
Your body reacts thusly.
Yeah.
The body starts counting down.
You hit a door and it doesn't open and you go, well, I'm peeing somewhere.
Well, this has happened.
That's that.
Sean, three stars.
This park is turning into a nice park.
Not something to walk through to get somewhere else.
Oh.
Not just a walk through an actual hangout, he's saying.
Not just a pass-by, yeah.
No.
Rachel, three stars.
Scary, oh, scary is what they're going for.
Oh, the E is next to the R.
Okay.
Scary people doing scary things in the restroom.
Fucking A.
Men and women's restroom constantly.
Okay.
And we're talking actual just, you know, dudes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
It's not, yeah.
Yeah.
And they probably are because what we've done to the other restaurant.
It's impossible to use.
We've shit on everything is the problem there.
We've made it unusable.
Unusable, yeah.
Jody, three stars, have to fight off criminals most of the time.
Probably.
Well, here's a guy honest here.
Joshua, three stars, good place to sleep.
No.
We normally don't get homeless reviews.
So that's nice.
Yeah.
I like that.
Good for him for finding the library to, and then looked up this place and reviewed it.
And said, good place to sleep.
We got to let everyone know, but only three stars.
Not a great place to sleep.
Let's not be crazy here.
James, three stars.
Park was nice, but watch your stuff or it'll get stolen.
Oh.
Pretty much that's in the world is what that is.
That's, yeah, that's, uh...
You're in public, sir.
As you wake up, uh, that should be one of your first thoughts.
Is everything I have secured?
I'm not sure. Maybe things are different in Utah. I'm not positive. That could be way different.
Jacob, they just want 10% outside of that. Yeah. No one's dealing.
Jacob, two stars, two percent, I was going to say. Two percent stars. Two percent stars.
Kind of one of those low-end playgrounds, but it does have a decent basketball court.
Okay, yeah, that's good.
Jason, two stars. Would have been fine if it wasn't for the homeless and drug addicts hanging out all over the park.
play area has needle caps laying around.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's a park.
That's what parks are.
That's what you do.
Yep.
Bible camp victim.
Okay.
Two stars.
I saw a drunk man nearby throwing up everywhere.
The library next to it is good, though.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You don't have to watch the homeless guy throw up.
I wasn't got a book because there was a man viewing.
I figured it is a good time to read watch.
Aaron one star
Homeless people are everywhere here
I did not feel safe with my two young
kids and then when I thought
it'd be better to go to the Weber
Library next door the entrance was
blocked by homeless people as well
would not recommend this park
It's almost like we should try to figure out
how something to do about that right?
You're almost there
You're almost there
just a little push more and I think you'd get to
Hey we should probably try to solve this right
Not just say fuck it, let people sleep in the streets.
Zane, one star, not a lot of different things for kids to play with in this park.
We also had a homeless person laying right next to the ramp to climb up and play on the jungle gym.
Didn't stay too long.
Oh.
Well, let's just have one of your kids like step on his dick or something.
He'd get away.
It'll work.
Kids will do that anyway, by accident.
Cora one star.
My neighbor, her grandson, and her son.
I went there. These are all separate sentences.
Yeah. My neighbor, her grandson and I went there. There's homeless people sleeping there and
homeless sitting at the picnic table. Not a very safe place to bring kids anymore.
Perfect. Great. None of these people were like attacked or assaulted or even talked to by the
homeless people from what it sounds like. They just hate seeing them. They don't like seeing them.
Exactly. And they act like it. It is a bummer when they are visible.
I don't like, I don't like looking at them.
It's weird.
I'm not hungry.
I'm not having a good time anymore.
DeVina, one star.
It was scary there.
Oh, it was scary.
There was a, there's no punctuation.
It was scary.
There was a man with a metal bar,
swearing and cussing at a woman saying he was going to beat her up and bash your face in.
I had to call the police.
I would suggest not taking your children to this park.
Wow.
We don't know their backstory or their history.
I mean, who knows.
But still, this sounds like with no punctuation.
She wrote this as she was running away, fleeing the situation.
She was typing it out.
No time for periods.
And in this day and age, when the Internet is also making, calling for help and making an emergence,
you have to see somebody actively doing it.
Because otherwise, those people could be filming.
something for TikTok.
You have no clue anymore.
So fucking annoying.
Yeah.
Whenever I see like 14 kids doing a synchronized dance, I think, I think that this must be
some sort of weird hive mind disease that has taken over, like a sci-fi movie.
And it turns out it's just TikTok.
I'm on the phone with like NSA.
Like I'm really trying to get some high-level shit involved.
We have aliens.
This is a problem.
It's a problem.
Just TikTok.
It's weird.
Yeah.
Strange.
They're just having a good time.
Yeah.
They're just, that's not, they're not having a good time.
they have to do that.
They're not having fun.
They're having the same good time as a person
scratching a scratchy ticket.
You think?
You think it's a day?
Yeah, because they're thinking,
they're thinking this is the one that goes viral.
This is the one that's going to get the attention.
Really?
Yeah.
It's the exact same addiction that you have.
You're totally right.
This is the one that's going to make me a bunch of money on the internet.
You're totally right.
No, you're totally right.
I'm thinking of they don't actually enjoy doing a dance with a bunch of people.
That part they don't enjoy it.
They might.
They think they look at it as work.
I think they look at it as a job to them.
Or it's the same.
They like it the same effort as the actual effort to scratch.
Like we drank 40s in the woods.
We did that because we liked it.
There was no benefit.
There's no, maybe this will be the day that I get the big old English sponsorship.
Like that never came.
We just were having fun.
This is not.
They're not enjoying themselves.
No.
How they pass the time is, yeah, different.
They think they're working, which is even weirder, because that's definitely not that.
Yeah, because I can't believe it's such an old man thing.
Well, it is, but it's true at the same time.
I can't believe that's the desire.
It's the same thing as us, though, when we were kids.
You wanted to be a basketball star or, you know what I mean?
There was an idea of.
Whatever your goal is.
Right.
I could be, I can make money doing this.
these kids are doing
internet things.
The influencer is the new basketball star
because the new Michael Jordan.
Basketball star was a thing that like
you could say, I want to be a basketball star
and people go, all right, go play at the playground
and if you suck, you suck and you're not going to be a basketball star.
That was it.
Like you can suck and still keep doing it
and thinking you're going to be a TikTok star
even though you suck.
Because no one tells you you suck because it's not obvious.
No one swats a ball from you
and then goes, take that shit motherfucker
in your face.
and then you have to keep playing with that guy.
I'm going to say that to you on ESPN
when I signed my $140 million contract.
That's right.
Take that motherfucker.
Take that motherfucker.
You don't get any of that
because they're like,
I am bad at this.
I've got to get better still.
But there's no,
these kids don't have a,
I'm bad at this,
I've got to get better still.
Never.
Because the worst thing is famous.
That's what I mean.
There's nothing to be good at.
That's what I mean.
It's nothing to be,
this is not a skill or a talent.
No.
You're being a jerk off
and people are clicking on it.
I will give Trusky credit.
Whatever he just filmed is wonderful.
I cackled watching it.
I don't know.
I don't laugh out loud watching sketches or, oh, like, you know, that shoulder bounce.
It's not a laugh.
It's just like, huh, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, that's, look at that.
That's essentially the best response that you're getting out of somebody watching your
shit on the internet.
Yeah.
Somebody sitting on their toilet going, look at that.
Hold on.
I'm going to wait to wipe until this video's over.
That's the biggest compliment you could get.
Waiting an extra 30 seconds to wipe.
Druski's newest video, I just was giggling.
It was great.
But there's nothing else on the internet that does that.
Anything we wanted to be good at was like, well, there's a mountain of fucking practice and all this shit.
Basketball or this or that.
It was like, well, good luck.
you know, are you better than this person?
Even if you want to be a rapper, it's like, well, you better than Tupac?
Probably not.
So, I mean, like, there was a way to be measured.
People would freestyle with each other and that you would suck and everybody make fun of you.
That was the point.
There was a lot of derision towards shit that you suck at and you keep doing it.
There's humility involved.
Yeah, whereas now you can put anything out there with no shame.
And I mean.
And ignore the comments.
Yeah, that's great.
You don't even have to look at it again.
No, maybe it's better that way.
I don't know.
I'm not saying it's right or right.
wrong. I'm just, there's a difference and I don't know what it is.
It's not fair. It's rigging the game is what it is.
Sure, yeah.
But I swear that every, every video and con, oh, I'm not saying it.
Every video and thing that they put up.
The word.
The C word.
Every piece of that stupid word.
The new C word.
The new C word.
Yeah.
I cringe way less when someone says cunt.
I'll tell you that much right now.
Way less.
when they say content.
But every one of them is just another,
I'll have that $5 scratchy.
It's that.
It's the same thing.
Maybe I'll get the likes.
I'll take the hot triple sevens, please.
Hot triple sevens coming at you.
Oh, God.
All right.
Well, Benjamin one star here, back to the park.
Lots of questionable older men and women walking around.
I would not let my kids play there.
Yeah.
Yeah, those people don't have houses.
That's why there shouldn't be questionable adults anywhere.
Yeah, anyway.
There should be a place for those.
There should be a room called.
Be questionable adult center.
Yeah.
Are you a questionable adult?
We have a place for you.
We've made that word be shelter for the reason.
We should make it be questionable.
Questionable adult center.
That's it.
Anthony one star.
It's a nice view.
from where I live and so is the library and the mountain view.
And then there's a picture of him, not at the park, just standing in what looks like a regular
room with drywall behind him and a fake plant next to him smiling.
All right.
It's a nice view of the park from where he lives, so he's thrilled about it.
And he's got a fake plant sitting right there too.
We get to see that.
He loves nature, real or not.
He's fine.
Out there or in here.
One or the other.
Ashley, one star, filled with drug addicts.
When you walk through, all you see are their little baggies.
Oh, all right.
Yeah, that's where they got the drugs from.
The remnants of the drugs.
Megan, one star.
The restroom was disgusting.
Yep.
And then my favorite two here.
S or KSat, one star, It Okay.
It, okay.
Have you known?
noticed the new public restroom in parks and, I don't know, I think I just, just government in general, the new public restroom is a steel toilet.
Yeah, like prison.
But the urinals are like sheet metal also.
It's, they're gross.
Yeah, that's what they put in prison.
That's why.
Right.
And they don't drain well?
No.
It's metal and shit should be threaded to be able to tighten in.
The drain should be easy on those.
Those things do not drain.
They are full of chunky piss.
There's like there's things float.
There's like strings of I don't know what that is.
Worms.
Folloting in the piss.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Piss worm.
Got to watch out for piss worms.
Gotta watch out for that.
Steel fucking like sheet metal.
Jesus Christ.
Gross.
K-sat.
It okay one star.
Yeah.
James, one star, it suck.
No, it sucks.
It sucks.
So we got an it okay and it suck.
Those are my favorite.
It okay.
No, they're not.
It suck.
Okay, let's get out of the park and go somewhere, hopefully better.
Tremendous.
We're going to a Ralees, Rallies, R-A-L-Y-S.
Ralees.
It's a grocery store in Sacramento, where we will be this week with Small Town Murder,
if you want to come out on Saturday night.
the, what is it, the 16th or the 17th of October, we will be in Sacramento doing a small
town murder live show.
So come out after you're done at Rayleigh's, the grocery store, which has 4.2 stars out of almost
1,500 reviews, so that's not bad.
4690 Freeport Boulevard, Sacramento, California.
There we are.
All right.
Let's find out from Chef five stars.
Very impressed with this location.
It had more than enough items.
that's good i bought all i needed and there were still stuff there i didn't even buy it's more than
enough more than enough it was plentiful it was like shopping at a store and napa had everything i
needed i don't know what that why that would is that good or bad what's the store in napa look like
i don't know context no they probably have a lot of wine i know that much how many people have
shopped at a store in napa that's got to be a super short list it's very specific i'm picturing
it like we went to Carmel
and spent a night there
and there was, it's not me and Jimmy
and me and Sarah with my wife.
That's a romantic place, you know.
So we went there and there was a little
store near the hotel we went to and it was
like 85% wine.
It was in the store. And then like
a few things of crackers and some chocolate
and stuff. That's it. That's all
it was. You're getting hammered and eating cheese.
Cheese fruit chocolate wine. It's all they had.
And like, you know, greeting cards
and like, you know, souvenirs and shit.
That's all it was.
Wow.
This little country store.
So I'm picturing that's what a Napa place would be, but I could be wrong.
Who knows?
It's got to be.
Lydia, five stars.
I'm visiting the area and stopped by this Ralees on Freeport Boulevard.
It looks like they recently moved to a new modern location with restaurants nearby.
The store was very clean, had self-checkout, and even a nice upstairs lounge area.
Yeah.
What the fuck is hanging out at the grocery store?
There are, I mean, the one by my house just closed.
the bar. There was a bar inside.
With booze? Yeah, because surprise,
somebody got fucked up and left.
Gee, shocking. I know.
That's where they go to drink at the grocery store.
That's what they were doing.
Weird, man. I think it was
people like alcoholics, obviously.
I think it was somebody telling the family. They were going shopping.
Yeah. I think that's what it is. And you can have a few drinks, too.
No, I came home with groceries.
I only went to the grocery store.
Check my location.
You can look on 360.
Look at Live 360.
I went to the grocery store.
And I sat there for a long time.
And then I bought a few items.
I was in the deli department.
Very long.
Very long time.
So, yeah, the store was clean.
A few shelves were empty.
But overall, it was a great place to shop.
Miquel, three stars.
first time at this particular Ray Lee's store.
I loved the cleanliness and organization of the store.
Everything is categorized and easy to find.
Lots of fresh cook and uncooked foods and fresh ingredients.
Unfortunately, the service is very disappointing.
The checkout clerks was rude and not very helpful in helping customers to familiarize with the SE reward program.
Oh, okay.
So your little card that gets you 10 cents off or whatever.
Daniel, two stars.
His picture just looks so grumpy.
This guy's got like,
it's kind of like the glasses
that get darker if it's laid out.
Progressive, so it's like a half a dark
with a big giant mustache and a scowl.
Just, meh.
Great picture.
Two star, perfect post.
I have shopped at Ray Lees for around 15 years.
They have a great selection of foods
and competitive prices.
Also a very well-stocked,
fresh vegetable department.
service is friendly and polite.
Great store.
Huh.
Okay.
Well, Sarah doesn't think so.
Two stars from Sarah.
Two out of five, only because it's very clean inside and out.
That's it.
Two because of cleanliness and that's it.
That's it.
And the employees are nice.
Okay, you're above two stars already.
Totally clean and nice employees.
I think we're at three stars now.
Yeah.
Just from there.
But seriously, check the expiration dates.
That's not good.
I've gone there five times, and three of five times have found food expired on the shelves.
Yes, even showing mold.
What?
Or have bought something taken it home and it expired that day.
Unacceptable.
That's common, and you usually get a discount on that.
Yeah, you bring it back.
I mean, there shouldn't be that, obviously.
They should check it, but something will fall between the craft.
Yeah, if you've still got the receipt and it's.
expiring today and you're not using it today,
you should be able to return that for sure.
Fucking hope so.
Throw that right in the fucking trash.
Yeah, exactly.
Connor, two stars,
used to be a great store with fantastic service.
The facelift is nice as well.
Apparently they redid the store.
But it comes at a cost,
apparently with, quote,
gems like Alex at Express Checkout.
Oh, Alex is a nightmare.
A real gem.
Alex is known as, quote,
A cost.
What?
Look, it comes at a cost with gems like him.
He is a cost.
That's what he is.
Undoubtedly, the least pleasant person I've met working at Rayleys in the nearly 40 years I've been coming to this store.
Wow.
It's easy to see why self-checkout is such an appealing option after spending one minute with an employee like Alex.
Right.
Sad to see how far their customer service has fallen.
Yeah.
Sad.
Sad, sad, sad.
John, two stars.
All right.
Most of the fruits are good, but found multiple strawberries moldy and molding.
I won't even get into the English because it's all fucked up.
Most of those are.
Like, it's so wild how easy it is for those to spoil.
Yeah, the interior strawberries.
They go away so quick.
Yeah.
We'll grow fuzz quick.
Yeah.
They're gross.
You'll find, just look in the case, you'll find three, four packages full of it.
And it wasn't there 10 minutes ago, so it's not the store's fault.
It happens.
I mean, you just got to be careful also.
It's all kind of always buyer beware.
Look at your strawberries first.
Are these moldy?
Yeah.
Then don't buy them.
That's it.
I tried, and they misspelled tried, which is difficult.
You have to really try to misspell tried.
T-R-Y-E-D, tried.
You didn't.
They did.
I tried to bring it.
Well, they also did strawberries with the word strawberry apostrophe S.
That's strawberries.
So I'm not taking it to heart too much here.
I do that a lot with a lot of things.
Because you write Emmys, E, M, M, Y, S, and it just doesn't look right.
You know what I mean?
Oscars.
It just doesn't look right without the apostrophe.
It just looks like it just feels so much better to put that apostrophe.
Oh my God.
You, uh, wow, you'd mess up a lot of signs.
Jimmy's, this is why Jimmy's first business, which is a sign painting company, went out of business.
He said, but doesn't it look better with the apostrophe?
And they were like, I'm not paying for this.
I'm not paying for this.
I'm sorry.
My name has an S on the end.
I don't need an apostrophe on it.
It's just, it's just there.
I know, I think it looks better.
I think it looks better.
I think you're going to get more business.
this way. I like reading it. Oh, God. I tried to bring it to the attention of the lady at the self-checkout, Sarah, and she gave me an attitude. Uh-oh. Snatched one pack I was able to give her in stomped off. I guess that's and, just an N, in stomped off.
N-stomped off. And stomped off. Yeah, calm down. Jesus. Never had an issue here, but the last two times not so good. We'll stick to the one in fruit room.
Ridge.
Oh.
I guess there's another option here.
You can go to Fruit Ridge.
Your shit taking care of.
Anna, two stars.
There's always a problem.
This time I was placing order so I don't have to cook dinner.
I was too tired.
But my food arrived.
The fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy were the ones missing.
That sounds like a whole meal.
That's everything.
Fried chicken mashed potatoes and gravy.
What did you order?
They give you a thing of corn.
Here you go.
Yeah.
What did they give you?
A piece of cornbread?
Yeah, that's everything.
A biscuit?
Good God.
Ross, two stars.
The young man working on the deli was a total jerk.
Oh, working on it.
No name given, no anything.
Just the young man.
Just throw it out there.
He's working on it.
He's working on it.
Alexander, one star.
This is a nice store, but I don't understand why they allow homeless people to sleep on the second floor.
You don't understand?
That's the dangerous people community center.
That's the questionable people.
Questionable people, yeah, center that's right there.
Also, the common area, second floor was dirty with trash all over the place.
That would be from the homeless people, I would imagine.
Meanwhile, the downstairs there are employees standing around talking with each other.
Why doesn't the management have people clean up the area?
As a former Bel Air employee, I can say this stuff wouldn't be.
tolerated at my old store.
At the Bel Air.
At the Bel Air.
We tase the homeless when they come through the door.
There's a reason we call it Bel Air.
Oleg,
one star.
Is this?
I think this is another,
this might be for a different place
that they fucked up because they spell rallies.
Oleg Bezurker.
Yeah, Oleg Bezurker.
How would you like?
to suck my cock,
is that okay?
All right.
So Oleg, one star,
he spells Rallies,
Rayle's R-A-L-Y-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-R-A-L-Y-A-A-R-A-R-E-R-E-A-R-E-L-E-E-R-E-E-L-E-L-E-Rose-ROTE.
Maybe not the same.
O-E-L-E-E-B-E-E-E-B-E-E-L-E-E-Rosey store.
At every other location, the subs are toasted in the oven and served hot.
Unfortunately, my visit to this rallies left me with a very bad impression.
The employee who was preparing my sub clearly did not know what she was doing, and it showed.
After waiting about 15 long minutes, I was given a sub that was not just cold, but almost ice cold.
When I asked the employee why this happened and why the sub was not heated in the oven so the bread would be crispy and the cheese melted,
I did not receive a proper explanation.
We don't know, man.
Yeah.
After a short discussion, instead of offering to make a new one, they offered to let me take the poorly made sub for free.
Well, you win then.
Fuck off and go put in your own oven.
Take the ice cold.
Yeah.
Yeah.
In the end, I had to order something completely different that I didn't even want, and I told them they could simply throw the sub in the trash.
Overall, this visit left me impression of this location.
I don't think he went to this grocery store.
I don't think so either.
I think he went to a sandwich shop.
Is there a rally sandwich shop?
Rally's subs in the northern California?
Yeah.
Northern California.
They're sure in the fuck is.
Yes.
That is not the rain of you.
I didn't think so.
I'm like, this does not sound like a grocery store.
But is this a, it says that there is.
It says that there is.
But it says checkers and rallies, and that's a different place.
That's a hamburger.
That's the hamburger joint, yeah, that we have in Phoenix.
Great for us, by the way.
And I think all of those are gone.
No.
I think they're all gone now.
Even the one on the west side there on...
There used to be one on 16th in Washington.
That thing's gone.
Yeah, that's trashed.
I'm talking up by where I lived on the west side there, like freeway area and, like,
Glendale or Bethany.
What is this?
I used to go there all the time.
There's one somewhere.
Yeah.
Oh, what is that?
Yes, that's still there.
Yeah, I figured it wouldn't be.
That place is popular.
It's a trashy area.
I believe it, yeah.
I got shit all the time when I lived there because I'm trashed.
Yeah, it says it's open.
It says there's three of them in Phoenix.
The one downtown is fucking super gone, though.
The one on like 16th in Washington or whatever.
Oh, man.
This shit is so good.
I used to eat the one 32nd and Greenway constantly.
This shit was so good.
I think that's this one.
There's one at 7th Street and Bell now.
Oh, Jesus.
All right.
Well, all right, let's do one more, and then we'll cash this in here.
Wisdom, one star.
These pharmacies cause too much confusion and anxiety for patients.
If the pharmacy send an electronic fill request to a doctor and the doctor doesn't
send a refill through the, quote, actual request, the pharmacy will tell the patient that the prescription was denied when in reality the prescription.
The prescription was sent to the pharmacy as a regular refill, but the pharmacy is too lazy to check.
What is going on?
Holy shit.
That is a lot.
Okay.
We'll leave it at there, I think.
Yeah.
They have a pharmacy here, too?
Yeah, most grocery stores.
A lot of them all have a pharmacy.
Okay.
That makes sense.
But all right, there we go, everybody.
We've been around, man.
We've been in redneck bars.
We've been to homeless parks.
We've been to.
fucking questionable people centers.
Yeah.
We've been all over the place.
And we've been scared and spit on as well.
So it's been an adventurous day.
Thank you so much for joining us.
Right.
Definitely, like we said, the one lady, was it Shirley?
Shirley, if you're around, theme park or not scare park ticket of your choice.
On us.
Do it up.
Thank you so much for joining us.
