Starting point is 00:00:00 Hello, everybody, and welcome back to your stupid opinions. Hey! Thank you so much for joining us today on another fun, fun adventure where we go places and hear from people that we don't care a goddamn bit about. It's a lot of fun, and we're very excited. My name is James Petro Gallo. I'm here with my co-host. I'm Jimmy Wiseman. And thank you for hanging with us, and thank you for being with us all the time.
Starting point is 00:00:40 Head over to shut up and give me murder.com if you want any merch or anything like that. Tickets to Small Town Murder Live shows. Speaking of Small Town Murder, you should listen to Small Town Murder. And Crime and Sports, our other two podcasts, which are exactly what they sound like, except hilarious. So do that and keep coming back and hanging out. That said, let's do it, everybody. We're going. We're going.
Starting point is 00:01:01 Let's get drunk, Jimmy. Let's do it. Oh, we love that. Let's go here. We're going to a liquor store in Long Beach, California. Let's go here. It is 2943 Santa Fe Avenue in Long Beach, California. Eddie's liquor.
Starting point is 00:01:16 Eddies. Let's go see Eddie. It's got a 4.1 out of five, which... Oh, he's got all the drinks. Not terrible, but it's funny that since we've been doing this show, I've really noticed. Liquor stores, I always thought of them as, like, tame, but Jesus, crazy shit goes on in these liquor stores. People really get angry. The owners are, like, weird little, like, kings of a little fiefdom.
Starting point is 00:01:38 It's like a pawn shop in there. You know what I mean? It's real weird. Every liquor store I've ever been to, the clerk appears to be the owner or related to. Always. It's always that. A cousin, a brother. Family members work in there.
Starting point is 00:01:54 Yeah. And every time, they've got a fucking attitude. They always, it's what I mean. Without fail. It's the weirdest thing. So it makes sense now. Why? Because we're finding that evidently everybody that goes into a liquor store is a fucking
Starting point is 00:02:08 You're a fucking asshole. It's some of these, most states, like Arizona, they sell liquor at the grocery store, like hard liquor. Now, people go, really? Because in most states, they don't sell hard liquor at the grocery store. Like in New York, they sell beer at the grocery store. That's it. Wine and liquor or somewhere else. Wow.
Starting point is 00:02:27 So, yeah, you have to go to the liquor store to buy wine or liquor. So it's interesting. Whereas, yeah, Arizona, you go in and there's a gigantic liquor aisle with every liquor bottle. you've seen. There's a cooler that's... Yeah. So a liquor store in Arizona is really a losing proposition. But...
Starting point is 00:02:45 Yeah, my beer aisle is longer than my cereal aisle. Yeah. In other states, though, it's like, okay, they're standing there like, well, you want booze. This is where the only place you're going to fucking get it, asshole. So is it people who sell booze or guns or dicks? Yeah. It's like, well, you got to come to here to get it, asshole. So I'll treat you however I want.
Starting point is 00:03:02 It's weird. And the fucking specificity? The people are really particular about what they like to get fucked up with. So it's like if you don't have fucking cinnamon apple Jack Daniels, we're about to fight over it. It's crazy. How do they not have that? It's a liquor store. Who gives it shit?
Starting point is 00:03:23 Find Crown Royal. Let's find out what they think of Eddie here. Okay. Jay Roe, five stars, had to get some cash here from the ATM. The guy was super nice to me and my kid. He gave him a cracker before we leave. I don't know if the kid gave the guy a cracker, if the guy gave the kid a cracker. I hope the kid gave him an elephant from his fucking animal crackers.
Starting point is 00:03:47 That would be amazing. I hope the liquor store guy said, when whatever accent he has. I don't even know which one to have. It's an accent. I'll tell you that much. Yeah. Of some kind. It's either foreign or one of these.
Starting point is 00:03:59 It's something. It's not a, you know. Let's see. Sidney says five stars. The nicest people work here. They have all the usual liquor store stuff with a big selection of hostess brand items. Well, that's nice. Really?
Starting point is 00:04:15 Yeah, you want to have a cupcake when you're getting fucked up? That sounds good when you're trashed. It just sort of a ding-dong and something to get some ding-dong. I like it. And they are helpful and polite. Why not shop where the people are nice? Why not? Why wouldn't you?
Starting point is 00:04:30 Stupid? Jesus, this is fucking hilarious. Here's five stars. a great selection of beer, but they need two-liter Coke zero. No, they don't. Specific one. The grocery store. Again, with the particulars.
Starting point is 00:04:48 I don't expect the liquor store to have every soda that exists. In the denomination I want it, too, a two-liter. I don't want it in cans or 20 ounces. I want a two-liter of sugar-free, not diet. No, zero. Zero. I want zero, motherfucker. Okay. Eliza, five stars. This place is great, and it's across the street from the bomb chicken shack.
Starting point is 00:05:13 The bomb one. The bomb chicken shack. Yeah, so, I mean, that makes it even better. All right. KB. 3 stars. Here we go. Other than the guys wearing cowboys gear, always asking you, where are you from, Cah? Or the Mexican gang members who, for some weird reason, like to express their dislike for seafood, quote, crabs to be specific. What? Those are called bloods are the people you've encountered. They don't like seafood. It has nothing to do with that. Nothing do with that.
Starting point is 00:05:46 It's a wonderful establishment to acquire anything you need. Obviously, I think the guy is definitely being facetious there and understands that probably if he lives in Long Beach. Yeah, where are you from? Because you're going to get that once in a while there. In Cowboys gear. In Cowboys gear, yeah. Aisha, five stars. Cool.
Starting point is 00:06:05 but sometimes they're older guys, their older guys have a nasty attitude. Charges come on your card while at work from this establishment. What? You'll be at work typing away. And you're like, oh, apparently I just bought some Bacardi. That's weird. I didn't realize I wanted rum, but apparently I do.
Starting point is 00:06:25 I was thirsty for 151. Because I wanted that while I was at work. I didn't realize it. Okay. Let's see. The fabulous green bean gives it two stars. Nice store. Seem like nice people.
Starting point is 00:06:40 But once I started regularly buying a certain type of liquor, they raised the price all at once to much higher than the stores in the area charge. I was actually kind of shocked. I'll have to patronize someone else's store from now on. Right. That's... They raise prices. It's called being an adult, you fuck.
Starting point is 00:07:00 Yeah. Yeah. They raise prices plus. the guy, he's acting like they saw I was buying this and they were like, ooh, it's a hot item, he'll pay anything for it. That says theory on this whole thing. Right. I love when people have their like own crazy conspiracy theories even at the liquor store
Starting point is 00:07:17 rather than just, it was six years ago, 2020. Everything went up in 2020 because of COVID. That was how the world worked. But also how much are you drinking that you think your supply of the demand or your demand of the supply is driving the prices? God damn, man. slow down. If you have single-handedly driven up the prices at a liquor store, you need to fucking check yourself into somewhere, because that is bad news. Go to a hospital, sir.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Check inventory on your life, my friend. Wow. Check your livestock, sir, because it's falling. It's bad. It's not good. The stock room is depleted back there, homie. Your liver's in trouble. Oh, Ralph, two stars. Get your liquor somewhere else unless you don't care to get charged more, unless you want to get charged more, motherfucker. All right. La Lisey gives it one star. Definitely will not give them another dime. They do not know how to treat customers.
Starting point is 00:08:13 They overpriced their products and are very rude. Right. As if that wasn't enough. I mentioned to them, but you should have given him an animal cracker. See, that's how you have to do it. You give him the lion. I'm told that pieces. Then he's everything smooth from there.
Starting point is 00:08:27 I mentioned to them about how expensive they are, and the guy told me not to come back. And I also told me to say hi when I came in. Oh, you should say hi when you come in, apparently. Apparently the customer didn't greet the cashier. That's the cashier's job. I think so. That's the way I would picture it. These customers are so rude.
Starting point is 00:08:49 They're not even ringing up shit. They're not restocking the shelves. These people are awful. They don't do anything. They're not saying welcome in. Yeah, they're not welcoming me. They're not saying goodbye. And also, they said it's too expensive and they said, well, if you can't afford it, have a good one, assholes.
Starting point is 00:09:03 Which is a fine thing to say. I love that. Too expensive? Well, bye. Yeah. It's like people complain about our, people complain about our shows about something. It's like, you don't get, bye. I mean, what do you want for me?
Starting point is 00:09:18 Yeah. What do you want me to do? Oh, hey, I'm sorry. Listen, Susan, you're right. I'm just picking a name. I don't know. This person is so upset. We have to appease that person.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Let's change everything we do. Let's change our business model, our artistic, whatever the fuck you want to call it. If you can even call it that, whatever it is. However, whatever pretentious thing, let's change it all for Susan or whoever the fuck or Brad or whoever the dish. And whatever it is that they're sensitive about, really out of this everything. Yeah, let's us, we should, they must be right. Change us for them. It's that person.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Yeah. This person goes on to say, if this is your job, you're supposed to greet customers that I, that, whoa, you're supposed to greet customers, not that I greet you. She said, you say hello to you. I don't say hello to you. You say hello to you. I've gave them plenty of chances, but I'm done with them. Okay. Apparently, they're also done with you.
Starting point is 00:10:20 They've told you not to come back. That's hilarious. That's like getting done to say. You've been trust. I hope you're done. Yeah. It's like getting dumped by someone and going, I don't know, I've decided it's not the best relationship for me. Well, I don't think it's working out.
Starting point is 00:10:33 Someone decided for you, actually. Supreme One Star. Terrible store. One of their workers hit my car in the lot and left without giving information. Oh, shit. And employees held the footage of the accident. They wouldn't give them the fucking security camera. I see cameras out there. Yeah, they don't work.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Yeah, we will give you that. We will never purchase anything from that. as they refused to help me, even though they knew who was the person who that hit my vehicle. Right. They're protecting their own there. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Thyrone gives it one star. Refused to give me. That's how it's spelled. Spelled T-H-Y. I've never seen Tyrone spelled with a fucking H anywhere in it. Have you? Never.
Starting point is 00:11:18 Never in my life. I think it's Thiron. He's getting called Thiron, because that's how it's stumbled. His mom had a thyroid problem, and she didn't realize, That's what it was called. She's like, my thiron is all fucked up.
Starting point is 00:11:29 I'm going to name my kid after that, you know. My bad thyroid problem. The tyrone was going to have thyroid issues. Yeah, I just know. One star refused to give me Uber order, racket. And there's a picture posted from this guy's car like a fucking private detective, which is hilarious. It's from his car through his windshield where you can see his dashboard in the picture, you know. And it's a worker.
Starting point is 00:11:56 with the doors open, picking up up the mat that goes in front of the door to shake it off outside. He's like walking outside with the mat. And he's take, that's the picture. That guy, rack it. I do like how he took it. Oh, and then there's another picture
Starting point is 00:12:08 of him not in the doorway, just the doorway open now. Oh, it's just the doorway. Yeah, this is your husband. Oh, and here's a picture of the guy at the counter. And it looks like, it looks like somebody's profile picture,
Starting point is 00:12:21 like the boss took it. Like we need a picture for insurance reason. So here's a picture of him at the camera. or just standing there. Here's a picture for your LinkedIn. Yeah. And this man is buying a white claw, it looks like, like a tall boy white claw.
Starting point is 00:12:33 So I don't think I believe anything they have to say. Another picture of the guy. Jesus Christ, you're obsessed with this man. I think this person wants to fuck that guy. Yeah, there's two pictures of him dead on right at the counter that are pretty almost identical. We got the guy. And he keeps snapping anyway.
Starting point is 00:12:50 We found him. Here he is, everybody. King is back. King is back, I guess all one word though. One star. I will never come back here ever again. The guy there was so rude and nasty, you will never see my money. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Oh, are a dime. I guess or. It means or a dime, but he said money are a dime from me again. This store needs better management and people skills. You treat people how you want to be treated. Really? Right. That's a new concept.
Starting point is 00:13:23 That's not the golden rule or anything. I've been coming here since I was a teenager. Apparently they sell booze to teenagers. That's nice to know. And never been treated like that from the old owner. That all I got to say. Oh, okay. That all he got.
Starting point is 00:13:41 That's all good. I can't talk about those days. No. Criminal past. Michael, one star. The guys that run the store are chill and respectful. But the father, see, it's all family. like you said.
Starting point is 00:13:55 Overprices. They make it sound like it's God doing this. Right. The father overprices. And even had his new coworker overpriced me. That's how you break them in. That's called training. That's how you get them.
Starting point is 00:14:08 You show them how to overprice on people. See, no, no, no. He gets charged more. Sorry, one moment. He's new. Yeah, no, no. It's what you do here is you got to, that's right. There you go.
Starting point is 00:14:18 It's 20% more for this guy. Thank you. Beer, 15. Donald. Beer, 15. dollar bottle of Jack, two red bulls, two small ginger ails, over $70? Exclamation question, Mark. Say that order again?
Starting point is 00:14:36 Beer, $15 bottle of Jack. I don't know if he's saying that's a bottle of Jack that's worth $15 or what they charge for it. Two Red Bulls, two small ginger ales, over $70. Okay. Now, the beer, I don't know how much beer you got. Yeah, did you get a 30-pack? Do you get a keg? If you bought a case of beer, like bottled beer maybe or something like that, it's going to be.
Starting point is 00:15:00 $25, $40, $40, even for a decent, if it's half decent. Then you got the jack. If you put $15 on top of that, two Red Bulls are probably $4, $5 a piece. Two small ginger a plus tax, that's about $70, dude. If you got a six pack of beer, now the whole thing is thrown off. But I don't know. That could be bad. I even asked the telling, I guess tellers what they're going for, why he wasn't scanning my beer and he stayed silent.
Starting point is 00:15:30 Oh. Oh, he stayed silent. Not the first time they've overcharged, but it will be the last. Ah. Joseph, one star, they were very rude and charged me $3 for a medium hot Cheetos bag. So not the tiny one. Yeah. Not the big guy.
Starting point is 00:15:50 The medium. Yeah. They're $279 now. I was going to say, they used to be $1.49. They're not anymore. Yeah. They're just not. That's the way it works now.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Sorry about that. And then finally, Lady Luscious One Star, 2 with 100, too expensive. Oh. Too expensive. That way, everyone. Follow me. We're going to expensive. Too expensive and beyond.
Starting point is 00:16:13 And beyond. All right. Let's get the hell out of this liquor store. We have our booze. Yeah, that's enough. So let's. take our booze and go camping. What do you say? Okay. Yeah. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:16:25 We're going to the Lakeshore Camp Resort. All right. Lake Shore Camp Resort. It is in 5300 Old Porter Road, Portage, Indiana. Let's go to a lake in Indiana and sit on it. It looks like. It doesn't even look like a big lake, dude. It looks like a golf course
Starting point is 00:16:43 fucking lake. It doesn't look like there's enough here for a resort. This place has 3.7 stars out of a 172 reviews, so almost 1100. That's this place, that's the people have spoken. It sucks. It feels like, yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 00:17:02 The location summary on Google has it at a 2.8, good for visitors, is what it says. So you don't want to live there, apparently. All right. Amy five stars. Seen a few reviews about the cabins. They are small, but the room definitely serves its purpose. you know, blocking you from the elements and such. Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:23 I guess. The walls stay up. The gentleman at the check-in ranger station above and beyond. He made us laugh so hard when my coffee pot wasn't working. He had a new one dropped off within hours. I bet he's a real hoot. He made us laugh about it. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:17:41 I'm sure they were all fresh original material, nothing that he said 700,000 times to everybody else. I hate that. I hate when people have a st. It drives me fucking nuts when they have a schick. Like a sales guy has a schick or some guy has like these like pat jokes that they say all the time. And you just go, oh, God. It's why I have a hard time talking to people.
Starting point is 00:18:03 King. Oh, no wonder why you fucking didn't like your dad. No, I get it. Never mind that he wasn't around. That's worse. If he showed up and started doing that, you'd go, oh, fuck. I made out like a bandit not having you around for fucking decades. This is way better.
Starting point is 00:18:18 you're annoying. I told his sister, she checked on me the other day, and I told her that I'm still pretty mad at him for not being around for my childhood. She goes, eh, he would have been a shit dad anyway. Yeah, exactly. Telling shit jokes, taking off all the time. Oh, man. Yeah, she is so proper. You've met her.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. She doesn't swear. And Judy rules. She does not swear at all. We dig Aunt Judy. She is cool as shit. He'd have been a shit bad anyway. This is like a proper little old Southern woman and it's hilarious.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Yeah. Yeah, she's funny as shit. Her and her awesome husband. God damn. I love those people. We got an old man high at our show. It was great. Nothing more satisfying getting a 75-year-old man high.
Starting point is 00:19:11 And he's just like, oh, boy, haven't had this since the 60s. And we're like, oh, you're in, buddy. It's going to be fun now. Since 1970, he put a B in 70. He's 70. I'm giving him hits a fucking, like, concentrate. I'm giving him, like, wax pen hits and shit.
Starting point is 00:19:27 And he's just like, oh, boy, that's, who, that's pretty good. Yes, it is. And a 30-m-G peach ring. Oh, yeah, that's right. Have a good one, grandpa. See you later. Sweet dreams, Uncle Danny. Oh, man, that was so much fun.
Starting point is 00:19:44 He was like, sure, I'll take one. I'm like, this guy's a partyer. He's into it. It's a little different than 1971. A little different when the Acapulco gold came in, isn't it? He did not remember the show. I bet not. I doubt he remember where he was.
Starting point is 00:20:03 I doubt he remembered like a buffer of like a day before and a day after. So funny. Yeah, I love my favorite is those schick guys that have the jokes and stuff. Watching the light leave my father. eyes when he encounters those people is the funniest fucking thing in the world it gives me it's so funny dude he he'll just you can just see him like just glaze over and turn to stone i love it had enough like i'm not listening to you um okay he made us laugh so hard bathrooms were very clean very nice stay and would stay again if in the area well good for you then oh okay um elizabeth five stars
Starting point is 00:20:43 five stars mind you the majority of staff and management have poor ethics, professional, and the worst they let you suffer. I have no idea. They have poor ethics. Are unprofessionals, maybe what they're going for? And the worst, they let you suffer. I used to, I used to liked the hospital, but now I won't recommend. Think before get to the hospital.
Starting point is 00:21:10 This is, first of all, okay. I get that this person clearly has a medical problem. I understand that, all right? I believe so. Number one, they gave five stars to this hospital that they clearly don't like. And number two, they left that five star review. That's actually a bad review of a hospital on the website of a campground in Indiana. There's so much wrong with this fucking review, man.
Starting point is 00:21:36 Or the backwoods of Indiana have so few hospitals. They showed up to a campground and thought it was the hospital. This is considered a medical center in this part of the country. Yeah. It doubles as a. It's an urgent care. Got an IV here. It was from a scorpion, right in my ass.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Wow. Holy shit. Okay, AJ 5 stars. I love visiting her. Not here, her. I love visiting her. It has so many fun things. Campgrounds get the girl thing. Oh, you know.
Starting point is 00:22:08 Or a truck. That's what it is. It's always a she. I love visiting she is what. really she's the best. It has so many fun things for kids to do. Every weekend there is something different for them to do. The staff are so kind,
Starting point is 00:22:23 and I would 100% recommend Lake Shore Campers Resort. All right. Now the bad, when there's a lot of it. Arellella, two stars. If you like broken water lines, cold showers, and being lied to, what do you think she's going to say now, Jimmy? Well, this place is the place for you.
Starting point is 00:22:42 Boom! Exclamation point. Yeah. It would be amazing if it was like, if you like those things, you shouldn't come here because everything is in proper working water. You're going to like it. This place is terrific. It's great. Bathroom by our cabin, question mark.
Starting point is 00:23:01 I don't fucking know if there's a bathroom by your cabin. You're telling us the review. I don't know. No hot water. Do you want cold water? Better hope the water main didn't break. Happened multiple times during our. stay. Many amenities, quote unquote, more like many out of order signs, except they don't even
Starting point is 00:23:19 bother to hang a sign. You can figure it out after you pay. Nice. Wow. The office promised boats and swimming at 10 a.m. Lifeguard wandered in around 1130. Well, you know, he's hung over and it's bright out there. I get it. Called about camp store closing time. They said nine, but it apparently meant whenever we feel like it because they locked up before eight. Okay. Nothing opens until noon, so mornings are just staring at closed doors. Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:54 Beach was, quote, open, but actually closed for water testing, because apparently that takes all day. Apparently it does, asshole. She's getting hamstrung at every turn.
Starting point is 00:24:06 This place is terrible. You're cock blocking her every fucking place she goes here. Yeah. The pool over-chlorinated enough to give you a chemical burn, closed for 10 minutes every hour, and shut down entirely from 3 to 4 p.m. daily. Probably to be cleaned, I would imagine. And the bunk beds.
Starting point is 00:24:25 Yeah, chlorine's wearing off, everybody. Which, I mean, yeah, that's good thing. During the night swim, your toes dissolve. That's fine. You know what, though? No diseases. So it's fine. The gaps between the bars are big enough for an adult.
Starting point is 00:24:43 entire body to fall through. So great if you like a side of danger with your camping. Would not recommend unless your hobby is being disappointed, which that's kind of my hobby. I don't want it to be, but it usually ends up that way. Alicia two. Happens sometimes. Alicia, two stars. After staying here, we understand why campground is no longer a Yogi Bear status level.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Well, I mean, very few can reach that can reach Yogi Bear. status level. Who, okay, we got to, we got to rewind. What is Yogi Bear status? Who is doing this ranking system, by the way, and who decided Yogi Bear status where it actually, Yogi Bear was a bear that wanted to eat your bickinic basket. So you don't want him around. He was just, look, and particularly the, the Ranger.
Starting point is 00:25:37 Yeah. Yeah. Hungry bears is a bad sign. I don't want to be at a place with hungry bears. That's going to be awful. Yogi bear status. Is it you finding anything on Yogi Bear status campgrounds? I'm just Googling it.
Starting point is 00:25:51 Nothing shows up. What is that? Yogi bear status campgrounds. It shows Delaware. I don't know if that's where it fucking starts from. Okay. Yogi bear status campgrounds. Oh my God, James.
Starting point is 00:26:05 This is a thing, huh? It's a thing. Who the fuck knew? Yogi bear status. James, you can find locations. It is Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp Resorts. Those are, okay, those exist. That makes sense, I guess.
Starting point is 00:26:22 He's... You've got a resort for Yogi Bear? Well, this is not a Yogi Bear level establishment we have here, though. Yeah, who knew? Wow. I never knew that it had to be Yogi Bear level. Wow. It was very crowded and staff was unwelcoming.
Starting point is 00:26:39 Yeah, Yogi would never do that. Many of the staff unpleasant bordering on rude Office and Beach staff were annoyed to be asked questions suggest wearing water shoes Lots were very messy We put gloves on to pick up trash
Starting point is 00:26:55 Before setting up The biggest annoyance was park patrol yelling at our kids at 6 to 7 p.m. For riding their bikes Make sure you have headlights installed on bikes During daylight hours Campground is surrounded by trailer parks but it does have a very large fence
Starting point is 00:27:11 with gated security guard for safety concerns. They have to fence off from the trailer parks around them. That's amazing. Yeah. That is fucking great. All right. One star here, the W.
Starting point is 00:27:24 Okay. What a joke. Yeah. We stayed for three nights. Sunday night, Thursday, Wednesday morning. Huh? What?
Starting point is 00:27:37 What the f? How the fuck did that happen? Bad lyrics to a, to a breakup song. Yeah, what the hell is this? 25 or 6 to 4? What is happening? Wednesday morning. Sunday night, Thursday, Wednesday morning.
Starting point is 00:27:53 That's, we stayed for three nights. Oh, so they're trying to do Sunday night through Wednesday morning. Ah. But they wrote. It's capital. It's capital T-H-U-R. That's Thursday. That's not through. Especially when you're talking about days of the week when you have a Sunday and a fucking Wednesday.
Starting point is 00:28:15 Yeah. Wow. You motherfucker. Okay. This guy is an asshole. And did not get to swim once in the lake because of the lifeguard hours and Ranger hours. We could not rent a golf cart or a paddle boat because they didn't get rented out on Mondays or Tuesdays. And we arrived Sunday after they were closed at 6 p.m. This is the middle of July. It has been a literal joke. We rented our cabin. through fucking that VRBO shit, verbo crap, and thought it was an added bonus being at a campground. In reality, this is a trailer park that's not welcome to outsiders. Don't stay here. Yeah, that sounds right.
Starting point is 00:28:54 It's an exclusive train park. Hey, you're not trailer park riffraff. Take a hike, mister. This was from, by the way, July 26. So just happened. Oh, yeah. That's from last fucking month. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:29:10 One star from Richard. Yogi left and for good reasons. I would wish I was there the day that the official campground status people came and took their statue away, took their Yogi Bear statue off the front of the fucking property by the sign and were like, no more. Yogi and Boo Boo, they're gone. Loaded them up on the back of a flat bed and took off with like 18 yogis on there that they've stripped from other campsites along the way. It seems like that's happened to a lot of campgrounds that they all lost their Yogi Bear Jellystone Park affiliation.
Starting point is 00:29:49 It's like losing a Michelin Star for a restaurant. Yeah. The outdoor Michelin Star. But James, they're giving them to, they're given the Yogi Bear status to like slide rock. What? That's a absurd. How dare you? I like how jerry.
Starting point is 00:30:08 Jimmy's going to be like in the comment sections of these going, hey, listen to me, buddy, that deserves Yogi Bear status. And this certainly doesn't. He's going to be a real Yogi Bear status officiato from now on. Slide Rock's just a river of poo. You can't give yogi status to that. Yeah. They just closed it this year.
Starting point is 00:30:27 Oh, it's disgusting. It's all shit. It's all shit. It's gross. I remember going there. They said it's because a runoff, James. Because there was a fire up there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:35 Yeah. It's, shit is running off the mountain down there. Right. From your asshole. All that brown in the water. Sliding down the rock. Yes. From people pooping in it. Stop it. I remember going there and I looked around and I was like, I'm not touching that fucking water and did not participate at all in that shit.
Starting point is 00:30:52 I was like, this is disgusting. It's the, dare I say it. It's the quality of people that get in that water and they're like rolling around on rocks. Okay. Yeah. It's gross. We've done the yogi bear status of bodies of water. And it's ocean and then larger lake and then smaller lake and then pond and then we go to rivers and creeks. Someone's sitting next to a river, there's a problem.
Starting point is 00:31:18 You know what I mean? Now when it gets down to water trickling down a fucking rock in the desert, you are, you're underground essentially of trash. Subterranean human beings. Subterranean trash. That's like people go, I feel like the stream is too hoity-toity for. us. There's some water done trickle down to rock. We could poop in it and slide on down it pretty
Starting point is 00:31:43 good if you want. If you've never been to slide rock, there are pictures of tide pools of people swimming. That's literally where the trickle stream has collected over time. So much time. There's so little water there.
Starting point is 00:32:00 There's shit from Wyatt Earp in there. I mean, Wyatt Earp has a log at the bottom. It's terrible. It's literally a four-foot-wide trickle of water that is three inches deep, would you say? In places? Yeah. Some places it's barely, you know, you know if there's water on the rock.
Starting point is 00:32:20 I mean, that's how much is moving. Some areas, you'll get six feet deep of water. But there's, it's not, that's not how much water. It took a while to fill that six feet. Oh, it is. It is fucking nasty. And these people lay in it all day. They'll drive up there on a Saturday and lay in that.
Starting point is 00:32:40 They fucking love it, dude. I saw people. Oh, Jesus Christ. They were like the, in the righteous gemstones when the two cousins were in that pond. And they're like, this is not, you shouldn't be swimming in there. This is a trout pond. All there is is dead fish in there. And they're like on their backs, like spitting water out like a fountain.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Like, fucking enjoying it backstroking and shit. That's what it looks like here. You're just like, oh, that's what slide rock is. It's fun to get there and look at it, but you got to pay the entry fee of the same scumbag that's going to go lay in it. And, oh, P.S. asses will be out. There are, there's naked bodies. It's not good.
Starting point is 00:33:20 This is bad news. It's bad. And it's poop. And so much poop. It's the fucking worst. So, anyway. Yogi left and for good reason from Richard. This place is a glorified trailer park.
Starting point is 00:33:35 numerous trailers on the site that haven't been moved in years. That's lovely. That's scenic. The pool was full. We were told to come back in an hour. We did. It was still full. The bathrooms were cleaned once a day and after five minutes they were filthy again.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Oh, God. Quiet hours? Yeah, they don't exist. All hours of the night people are riding around on motorcycles, quads, and golf carts with music turned up to ten. Yeah, trash people. It's called trash people. They should definitely get a bus to take all these people right to slide rock, I feel like. Yogi bear people.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Yogi bear people. I got a feeling this is what Yoki Bear status is about. Trash people. I feel like when this happens, this is when Yogi pulls up stakes. He's like, okay, you've... The Ranger gets an email. Too much. Oh, we got to go pull it.
Starting point is 00:34:29 So everyone, my picnic basket is in danger. We're shutting it down. It's not happening. Okay, train tracks just south of the park. Oh, lovely, with trains all night long. You're in the worst part of whatever town this is, it sounds like. Freeway to the north with traffic all night. This is just lovely.
Starting point is 00:34:48 Yeah. You know, I've parked my motorhome next to a freeway before. I-40, James. It is the most soothing sound. You will sleep until they hit their Jake break. that'll wake you up. Except if you make that a symphony with train horns that might not be as soothing. They're like working in tandem.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Jesus Christ. You probably just feel like you're about to get hit by a truck and a train at the same time. That jig break is something else. Why are you doing that? It's a straightaway road. Yeah. Why are you breaking so hard? To top it off, there's a sewage treatment plant just before you train.
Starting point is 00:35:42 Oh, my God. This place is an assault on every sense that you have. Yeah. It's wedged. We've gotten the geography. It's wedged between a sewage treatment plant, a rundown trailer park, the train tracks, and the freeway. Those are the four walls of this joint. That's great.
Starting point is 00:36:03 crazy. And they're like, come relax here. Whoa. That is a lot. Right next to the burned out trailers. Oh, now the trailers are burned out. The ones that haven't been moved for years, apparently caught fire at some point. If you want a good, clean, safe, and fun place to visit, just go to the projects of Chicago. Good God. All right. Much better than here. Easy Street, one star. Apparently, this is not easy street for this person. Okay. came here as a family while on our way to Ann Arbor. This place is not a resort. We did pay resort prices.
Starting point is 00:36:40 I think that's a haiku, by the way. I think they just put together a haiku because it's all in separate lines, too. Yeah, next and four. Yes, yeah. The pool was empty. The lake was super gross. The water was out.
Starting point is 00:36:56 The water was out. No? It's always out. Oh, out of the lake. Because the fucking water main breaks seven times. That's right. The water's out. To me, I thought the lake, the water lake was, I'm like, how is the water out? The water was out of the lake. Yeah. And we were originally told the electricity was out. It is over 90 degrees in the summer and there was absolutely no way to cool off. And one of the front desk ladies was super rude. I was about to pack up and head to a hotel, but luckily the electricity was on after all. Not relaxing after 16 hours of driving. Bummer. Yeah, I guess not.
Starting point is 00:37:31 Oh boy, this person, here we go. Priscilla one star. Wow, they have a lot to say. We stopped here on our family road trip to explore Indiana Dunes N.P. No idea what that is. Indiana Dunes. National Park? NP.
Starting point is 00:37:50 Yeah, I guess National Park. Yeah, I guess that's what it would be. Yeah. Indiana Dunes N.P. sounds like, you know, Harrison Ford has left the Indiana Jones series. And they're trying to replace him. This is Indiana Dunes. He's almost as good.
Starting point is 00:38:04 He's just as good. How does Indiana Dunes have a beach? I have no fucking idea. National Park. I don't know. We were stopped here on the way. Are they on the lake? This place is on a little lake.
Starting point is 00:38:16 But I don't know about the Dunes. I've never heard of it before now. It's the first time I've ever heard of the Indiana Dunes. I don't know what they even know. I don't know shit about it. To begin with, our site was given away, even though we had a reservation for weeks. We had to wait while they figured out.
Starting point is 00:38:31 out this error. We then found out the lake activities that were advertised online were closed because of a sewage issue. It's always a sewage issue. Oh, Jesus. We then found out there was no water at the campsite due to the sewage issue. Because there was no water, we couldn't make any
Starting point is 00:38:47 campfires. Because can't put them out. They must be pumping water out of the lake and it's their own... This lake does not seem big enough to pump anything out of. No? It's a pond. It's not, it's a fucking pond. Like, if you pumped,
Starting point is 00:39:03 it would be empty in a day. Like, it would be empty, I think, if you pumped anything out of this. Okay, no campfires. The dumpsters were overflowing with trash. Luckily, we had electricity, but some parts of the campground did not. So this is just constantly shit going on and off.
Starting point is 00:39:18 No water, some water, no sewage, no lights. There were golf carts being driven around. Spiratic. Just pops on and off. There were golf carts being driven around by kids whom appeared to be 10 to 14. that were cruising with their music blasting for fun. That's generally what you do, yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:37 What other reason would it be for? And it's a private property, so that's what you're supposed to do there. Yeah, for fun they're doing it. For sure. Yeah. I would not recommend this campsite to anyone. Please try to stay, please try the state park at Indiana Dunes if they have availability. There's a state at a national park?
Starting point is 00:39:57 I'm confused. All right. Fuck those people. All right. Tanya one star Absolutely terrible unless you want to watch a golf card A golf card, not golf cart A golf card parade
Starting point is 00:40:09 With Spanish music 24-7 Too expensive for this type of camping Not peaceful at all If it was 38 special Would you be more amenable to that? I don't know By the way I We went to the Duchess County Fair recently
Starting point is 00:40:26 Sarah and I went to the fair and we were there a couple hours and then 38 special started playing and we went well now we know it's time to leave and we left like I don't want to hear that I don't want to hear an entire fucking set of 38 special at age 77 I can't believe you didn't say
Starting point is 00:40:45 no for what I don't like concerts of music I'm really into I don't like concerts I hate concerts I'd like to hear the music I like but sounding more poor sounding poorly, and also I'd like to stand next to strangers while I do it. And if I could be outside in the heat, that'd be excellent also. Anything else? Any other factors we want to put?
Starting point is 00:41:07 I have a guy kicking me in the ass the whole time. Hold on loosely for some nostalgia. Yeah. Sit around all that just to hear hold on loosely? I don't think so. Last thing I heard was teacher, teacher. And I was like, fucking goodbye, goodbye. I'm out of here.
Starting point is 00:41:22 I got to go. All right. Here is one star from Al. And the title of his review is horrible. H-O-R-R-A-B-L-E. Horrible. Nice. Or A-A-B-L-A-L-E.
Starting point is 00:41:38 We actually own a lot. And we are near the front gate, so they own a lot here. People coming in and out of the park have their music blaring and boom boxes are disgusting. I think the people are disgusting, but that was a, there's no comma, so it's hard to tell. along with filthy music you can hear for blocks. Filthy music. Stop signs are non-existent. It doesn't say so it seems.
Starting point is 00:42:05 It says it so seems. So I was like that just made my tongue not work. Park Patrol doesn't follow their own rules. One plays their kind of music day and night, and you can hear it for several blocks. That's Park Patrol for you. Young kids driving golf cards and no one obeys speed limits. Do these 7, 8, 9, and 10-year-old kids even have insurance?
Starting point is 00:42:27 Oh, all kids have, yeah, they go to State Farm before they come here. They get it all straightened out. Kids are very responsible when it comes to paperwork and insurance. They're good like that. You didn't know that's why Geico went with the cartoon lizard because they're aiming at children. Well, I mean, they were an underservice demographic that they figured they could just, oh, really. The general, there's all these guys went with cartoon characters because kids. Kids need this shit, too.
Starting point is 00:42:55 They need it. No one should be allowed to drive these golf carts without a valid driver's license. No exceptions. None. None. None. This isn't a vacation. This is a fucking, this is whatever this person thinks it is.
Starting point is 00:43:10 Lots around us have mildew all over their trailer. Grass and weeds a foot long. Animals living under their trailer. Most trailers have insufficient human waste piped. Oh, no shit pipes. Not enough of them? They got bad shit pipes. I guess.
Starting point is 00:43:28 All sewer pipes must have a continued downward flow with no kinks or bends restricting a complete downward flow of human waste. Okay, your trailer pipe with shit in it should be made of PVC. It should not be a flexible... What is happening here? That's used at dump stations. That's a temporary thing. That's not for being hooked up and resting and standing. There's hanging there.
Starting point is 00:43:54 No. Yeah. No. That's, oh, wow. The gravel roads are disgusting with potholes everywhere. The dust and dirt is everywhere. The entertainment stage and dance floors covered with dust and dirt. Hey, maybe we should have a live show there.
Starting point is 00:44:07 This sounds great. Dust and dirt, I'm in. Dustin, can we fit like 1,400 people in here if we could? Let's do it, man. That would have been a great comedian stage name, Dustin Dirt. I wish I would have thought of that. Dustin Dirt? Oh, you'd have to have a whole schick, though.
Starting point is 00:44:23 We're going to come out dirty. A filthy fucking act. You know that dust and dirt? You come out looking like a filthy Willie Nelson? That'd have to be your act. It's just all fisting jokes. Like, shit that would make, shit that would... I'm sure there's a comic now.
Starting point is 00:44:42 Should that would make Juselnick jealous. Fucking blush and have jealousy rush over him. At times, the smell of sewage is unbearable. Well, that would be from the. the sewage plant that's right next to it. Right. You're by the front gate, so you're right by it too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:58 That or perhaps the ability to use flexible, corrugated pipes, then perhaps that's a buildup. Jesus. Over the past several years, the park has gone to pot. Oh, well, that's good. Excellent. And plenty of owners are the problem along with Do Nothing Park Patrol. When Tina Green was running Park Patrol, things were different. Well, you can't expect everyone to be Tina.
Starting point is 00:45:23 Yeah, we can't expect everyone to do that kind of job. I mean, she was special, obviously. All they do now is run around with sirens and flashing lights. I'm sorry we ever bought a lot here. Never a thought, never thought a place could deteriorate so quickly. When they were franchised with yogi things, when they were franchised with yogi, things were different. But after yogi, I got out and it just fell apart. I'm sure yogi's glad they got out.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Yeah. I didn't know yogi was a they then, but okay. Okay. That's fun. All right. Sassy one star. Do not stay here. I wasn't planning on it, sass.
Starting point is 00:46:02 My husband says it's where RVs go to die. I like how she wanted to tell this joke, but she didn't want to take credit for her husband's joke. She's not a hack. She had to say, I think it's funny, but it's not mine. I didn't think of this. It's all him. I can't take credit for it. My husband's a genius.
Starting point is 00:46:23 He says this about everything, though. But I mean, you know, in this case, he's right. So I got to give him credit. They are all old, dirty, and full of mold slash mildew outside and falling apart. It's like a horror movie set. Oh, on top of that, the road noise is so loud. You absolutely cannot even sit outside and have a conversation. This sounds just better every day.
Starting point is 00:46:47 And it smells like sewage? Wow. How can I pay money for this? No point in having a fire. since we would have to clean out the fire pit, which is full of beer cans and a large bag of dog poop. Oh, no. Put that in the fire?
Starting point is 00:47:05 What are you doing? They call it an Indiana buffalo chip, I believe. That's how it works. What scumback is burning dog shit? God damn it, no. Oh, man. My kids are trying to cook marshmallows. May you get scouts shit in there?
Starting point is 00:47:24 God damn it. This is very rich, savory tasting marshmallow, but it's not the normal sweet. That's a Purina one. Yeah, it's good. It's one of them Alpo marshmallows. I like it.
Starting point is 00:47:35 We mix it with Iams. That's why it tastes so nice. Love it. The price was $50, but they added several fees that I've never seen like a resort fee, total joke,
Starting point is 00:47:46 and it ended up being $65, a total rip-off. We have friends traveling, in another RV with us, she found her pistol to keep nearby as she slept. Holy shit. What is happening in this place? It's fucking Thunderdome in this place, dude.
Starting point is 00:48:02 This is crazy. Kids running around, sew it. Putting your piece under your pillow. All this while train horns are constantly sounding. This is horrifying. I can only surmise that the positive reviews were from friends of the owner. Stay away. Stay far, far away.
Starting point is 00:48:19 You got it. Stay armed, fuck. Stay, yeah, Jesus Christ. Farah, one star. This was one of the worst camping experiences I've ever had from the moment we got here to the night before we left. When we got our campsite to set up, we were immediately met with the smell of sewer. That's common. You'll get used to it.
Starting point is 00:48:39 Two sites, oh, you won't even smell it after a while. Two sites over, my husband found a broken, open sewer grate with crap just swimming in it. Excuse me, sir. What is this crap doing in my, in my garden? grade? Yeah, what is this? Excuse me. That's the back.
Starting point is 00:48:53 I think that's the backstroke. Sir, that's the backstroke. But that's the backstroke. That's the old fly in the soup joke. I love it. Nice adaptation. Nice, nice job there. That's good stuff.
Starting point is 00:49:05 Why? So they, hmm, they can see the actual shit through the sewer grade? Actual turds. The grate is broken. So you can actually see actual poop. Doing laps in there, apparently. Well, it's swimming. Yeah, it's swimming.
Starting point is 00:49:23 You can see it kicking. Well, shit is like a shark, too. It has to keep moving or else it'll die. Otherwise, it'll drown, right? It'll drown, right? It'll drown it has to. I understand with camping that you will come across a lot of bugs, but because of the smell, there were flies everywhere.
Starting point is 00:49:40 Then we came to discover that this isn't really a campground. It's more of a trailer park. It's geared toward the more permanent sites. There are golf carts everywhere, and they are just constantly driving by. There was never a moment where there wasn't one passing our campsite, and we were at the clear end away from the amenities. In addition to this, the noise was overwhelming. You have the noise from all the people, the golf carts, the highway, the railroad, and people drag racing up and down the main road right next to the campground. That's the racing spot in Portage also.
Starting point is 00:50:16 So the night, wow, the night before, the night before there were people chanting, screaming, and blasting music up until 1 a.m., even though quiet hours at 11 a.m. Right. Or p.m. So it's, they have satanic parties and rituals. There's chanting. The only positive is that it was only 10 minutes to the west end beach. So it's close to a different beach. That's the positive here. Okay. And then we'll do one last one here. and then we will we will head on to another place here.
Starting point is 00:50:50 Okay, Erica one star. This place isn't suitable for tent camping. Most people already live there. I was in campsites 513 and 512 which were very dirty. There were lots of trash nearby.
Starting point is 00:51:03 There was a lot of trash nearby. And at times the smell was awful. And garbage too. There's also food, discarded food stuff. It's also refuse. Yeah. The police
Starting point is 00:51:15 there were overbearing, especially one cop, especially one named Officer Rocky. No. Wow. That's his last name? Apparently. I felt, probably a first name. If you're a fucking trailer park cop, you don't get to be called officer your last name.
Starting point is 00:51:32 Your officer fucking. Yeah. You're officer. You're officer. Your officer. Yeah. Officer Chuck. That's you.
Starting point is 00:51:38 Enjoy. Officer Skeeter. We got a problem over here. That's you. Come on over. I felt like I was in the movie Malcolm Cop. What? What the fuck is that?
Starting point is 00:51:48 I've never heard of that before. Malcolm Cop. Malcolm? The name Malcolm Cop. I've never heard of Malcolm Cop before. Me neither. If you want to camp in your own tent, who find a better... We've never heard of the goddamn movie.
Starting point is 00:52:02 I was there for three nights and we only stayed because we had no other option. It looks nice in the videos, but that's not what it's like. We've been camping there for a few years, and this time I had a terrible experience. When we asked for anything, we didn't get any attention.
Starting point is 00:52:15 The service was awful and the organization was terrible. Okay. Finally, the last one I just have to put in because we've missed one. Okay, we're all penned in on four sides with all this noise, right? There's one thing we never considered, and here it is. Okay, Helen, very bad. On one side a train track where chemical trains run. On the other side is the I-94.
Starting point is 00:52:39 If it isn't enough, planes fly overhead, too. And jets! We didn't take it. account. The airspace, Jimmy. That's the problem. Planes, trains, and automobiles. And trucks and fucking wow.
Starting point is 00:52:55 Yeah, this is. Wow. Wow. So we didn't take that into account at all. We had the airspace. This place is all on Earth. Now there's a sound coming from all four sides and above. If we can get an earthquake going on and we can really get this working.
Starting point is 00:53:09 All right, let's get the hell out of there. Yeah. Okay. There's all that sewage smell and watching crap swimming. has made me hungry. I don't know about you. I need it out of my throat. I need a different flavor.
Starting point is 00:53:20 Let's do it. Well, I got one for you. Let's go to the murder McDonald's. Let's do it. What is this? This is a famous McDonald's in New York City that's known for being the murder McDonald's. That's what it's called. Really?
Starting point is 00:53:33 People just get murdered. It's right next to Penn Station, which is like the worst place in New York City. It's New York, if you look at statistics of crime, it is like, it's safer now than it's was in like the 1940s. Like it's insane. Like there's very low crime right now, but that's because there's cameras everywhere and all that shit. But at the same time,
Starting point is 00:53:55 if you're around Penn Station and you go to the McDonald's, you still might get stabbed because there's a lot of fucking people in and out. The weather in New York is unforgiving, whether it be summer or winter. It's winter more so because it gets really fucking cold. And what Penn Station offers is a shelter. Right, a place where people can get to. and not fucking freeze to death.
Starting point is 00:54:16 So you've got people that have, and you put that many people in a small area, you're going to have, there are people there with serious mental health issues. And a lot of those people rely on Penn Station as shelter when it's cold out. And what's nearby but affordable food at McDonald's. They're going to be there.
Starting point is 00:54:34 And you have people crazy enough, in addition to all those people, then there's regular people who are like, I think Penn Station's the mode of travel. I should go there and get on a bus. That seems like the best way to do this. But I'm a little parched and I'm hungry. I'm going to grab a hash brown and a coffee.
Starting point is 00:54:49 Could use a chicken nugget, actually. So this is the McDonald's at 490 8th Avenue, New York City, Manhattan. It has 3.6 stars at 4,500 reviews. Yeah. So, yeah, that's not great here. Here's Adare, five stars. I didn't take any pictures or videos. However, I enjoyed my experience.
Starting point is 00:55:10 Although I ordered through the app, I was able to ask for my own customization for my order. The staff upon entering was polite, and also the manager along with the other crew members who made my meal. If I didn't have a prior appointment, I would have loved to stay a bit longer to take in the relaxing atmosphere. The relaxing atmosphere of the Penn Station McDonald's. Wow.
Starting point is 00:55:34 Here's another one that's five. This is meat, five stars. This McDonald's is not bad at all. it's open 24 hours and the food service is quick. The price is, however, more expensive than the others in the city, but it's still worth it because it's open 24 hours. The security lady does her job correctly and respectfully and upholds the standards of the restaurant.
Starting point is 00:55:56 However, sometimes service is slower than other locations, but mostly it's on time. This shit is open 24 hours and you have a meek security woman that handles all of that? She's not the only one, we'll talk about. there's other guys who are really nasty that we'll get into these security guards have to be because people keep getting killed there and shit. And by the way, if you ever saw, I don't know if they still do it on commercials,
Starting point is 00:56:21 but if you ever saw a McDonald's commercial, look at a McDonald's commercial from like the 80s or 90s, at the end of it in fine print when they're like, you know, two Big Macs for $3 back in the day or whatever the fuck it was, it would say, price is not valid in Hawaii and Manhattan below 48th Street, or below 60th Street, it would say, literally. below Manhattan Lower 60th Street. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:44 So you go uptown fine, but you want to be in like the heart of the city and the tourist area. You're going to pay more for this fucking Big Mac. Yeah, that doesn't exist. Now here's an article from the, it's August 17th, 2026. So just happened. This is New York City tourist was stabbed at infamous murder McDonald's near Penn Station. Oh, boy. The Manhattan fast food joint where an Australian tourist was stabbed in a terrifying,
Starting point is 00:57:10 unprovoked attack Monday is an infamous hangout for shady characters earning its nickname the Murder McDonald's. Now, also you have to take into account, take the facts, guy got stabbed, whatever, but all the commentary, this is the New York Post, who might as well be called the New York is the scariest place in the world thing. When someone gets pushed in front of a subway car, people come in their pants at the New York Post. They're like, oh, it's so dangerous.
Starting point is 00:57:35 It's like, wow. They write elevety articles. and they, whatever form of social media, they put the clip on that page and every other post. Run that subway pushing again. Run that subway pushing again. Think about it. There are millions of people going through the subway every day.
Starting point is 00:57:55 So this is literally, like, this is like every like six months or something, something like that happens. This is one out of like a hundred million this happens. And they're like, look at it. You're not safe. Oh, my God. Don't go on the subway. It's like, wow.
Starting point is 00:58:10 You should play the powerball, too, because you have better chances of winning it than getting pushed in front of the subway. Anytime you're in a big city, keep your head on a swivel and do not put yourself in a position that will. It's called situational awareness. Be very careful where the fuck you're standing. That's it. So take this with a grain of salt, all the other shit here. And I say that as a man who was overcome with the inability. to stay silent when I witnessed mental health emergency on a subway in New York.
Starting point is 00:58:45 I let that man have it. And me and every other New Yorker you told went, why'd you say anything? Why'd you do that? What are you doing? All of everyone at the same reaction. We all went, who fuck did you do that for? You were 100% wrong in our minds. You're all like, that's-
Starting point is 00:59:02 Well, how am I wrong in this situation? I assure you. You're wrong. Yeah, you just ignore that. and it goes away. I know that I'm wrong because the conductor of the train came out
Starting point is 00:59:10 and said, leave him alone. I'm like, yeah. And he's like, I'm talking to you. I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:59:18 And I was like, yeah, see, I told you. You were shocked that I said it and you were like, the fucking conductor said the same thing.
Starting point is 00:59:25 I was like, he's right. That's why. Like, that guy's an asshole. How dare me. He's like, that's how you keep the peace in here.
Starting point is 00:59:33 Yeah, you can't come from a place that's not, a place that's not, New York City to a place that is New York City and expect that your behavior was the right way all the time. It's not. I promise.
Starting point is 00:59:48 You reacted correctly. You are doing everything wrong for big city standards. So they say this McDonald's, which is open 24-7, attracts a seedy clientele including drug dealers, thugs, and junkies from a nearby methadone clinic after hours, they told the post. one clinic patron named Toaster 45 years old Yeah I'll bet I know that guy
Starting point is 01:00:13 Toaster adding heats there About once a week said quote It's a fucking nightmare It's a It's like a fucking nightmare It's a murder McDonald's They do whatever they want here It's like a little slice of hell
Starting point is 01:00:30 Because you can get whatever you need here You gotta watch out Everybody's heard it's a little slice of heaven. Nobody's heard. It's a little slice of hell. That's very nice. You've got to watch out while you're eating McDonald's and you're not even freaking from here.
Starting point is 01:00:48 Okay. Nearby, a panhandler and an admitted drug pusher named Tony said anyone with common sense stays away from that eatery after midnight. That's hilarious. The drug dealer's like, I mean, it's dangerous over there after midnight. I don't go over there. That's crazy. I'm carrying it. I don't go there.
Starting point is 01:01:04 He said, once again. It gets dark, that's when all the stuff comes out. That's when the vampires come out, the bloodsuckers. The bloodsuckers come out when it hits dark. When it's light, they sleep, just like a vampire. He is a poet. He is. This is Tony.
Starting point is 01:01:21 Tony said, quote, it's money hour, not a place to be hanging out here at that late night. Okay? Amazing. Around 2 a.m. on Monday, a 19-year-old man from Australia was inside the McDonald's eating when he was stabbed in the ribs and back by a whack job. wielding a knife, according to police and law enforcement sources. Words were exchanged between the victim and as an attacker, but sources said the horrifying incident was largely unprovoked.
Starting point is 01:01:45 Well, you shouldn't have exchanged words. That's the thing. Right. You do not engage now. You were two seconds away from getting stabbed. I guarantee. He was going to stab me with a chicken bone, man. And then he was going to fuck my face.
Starting point is 01:01:57 That's what he was going to do. I'm not sure of the order of that. But he was going to do those two things. I'm just not sure which order. full of his jizz. I was, that was... He might have fucked your face first, though.
Starting point is 01:02:09 You can't know what his intentions were. He was walking away two tablespoons light. I guarantee it. He might have turned him on and feel you squirm. You never know what I mean. Yeah, or I'm had to turn him on to feel my temperature, my core temperature drop a few degrees. You never, I don't know what he's into. We couldn't know.
Starting point is 01:02:29 The victim who was staying at a nearby hotel, according to sources, was rushed to Bellevue hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Cops later arrested Juan Mercedes, 25, and charged him with second-degree assault in the attack. Mercedes of Florida, shockingly, was awaiting arraignment later Monday. The victim may have been unaware of the notorious Penn Station area restaurant's Sorted Reputation, which was the subject of a 2015 New York Times article. But the eatery remains a known hangout for troublemakers, according to the neighborhood regulars, and even a security guard stationed outside Monday.
Starting point is 01:03:04 Yeah, he probably just was like hungry at 2 a.m. and was like, oh, there's a McDonald's open right by me. Awesome. And then he went to the McDonald's because in Australia, you don't get stabbed probably at 2 in the morning, just eating a burger for no reason. Regardless of if he knew or not, he found out. He found out, no.
Starting point is 01:03:20 Yeah, he fucked around and found out. It is bad, the guard said. There's a clinic across the street, so the clinic people come in. But she said the violence usually takes place outside. He said, quote, it's more so the homeless people fighting, the homeless people. It's not really inside here.
Starting point is 01:03:36 It's just a homeless. It's in the middle of a homeless fight club. There's a homeless battle royal taking place outside at most days. And it just happens to be in the middle of it. Yeah. She said her coworker who was on duty at the time of Monday morning stabbing gave her a blow-by-blow account, including telling her, I almost got stabbed too.
Starting point is 01:03:56 Wow. The attacker was screaming and ran to the victim and stabbed him twice, she said. The fellow security guard told her he was just talking gibberish. Okay. Yeah, he's nuts. Between him talking gibberish and the other guy yelling in an Australian accent, nobody knew what the fuck anybody was saying, which was hard to deal with.
Starting point is 01:04:15 A fellow guard, quote, said, quote, he asked why he would do that and just stared at him. He waited outside for the cops. When the cops came, he dropped the knife. He's a crazy mother, just a crazy person. Major crimes have dipped by 11% in the NYPD Midtown South District, which patrols the area, with one exception being three murders so far this year compared to two over the same span in 2025. But you never know. A guy could kill his whole household, and that drives the murder rate up. By early afternoon, the restaurant was packed with patrons, and there were no signs of violence that unfolded there hours earlier.
Starting point is 01:04:54 But locals said it'll change when darkness falls. spotters looking to sell drugs or robbing the unsuspecting are always around the eatery, which is near the corner of West 35th Street, not far from Penn Station. The drug people always be here, said Khan Rays, who works at a nearby gift shop. They're always selling and drinking.
Starting point is 01:05:15 Late night, it's dangerous, especially 34th Street. It's always people sitting, and the drug mafia. The drug mafia, Jesus. Wow. The whole mafia is there. All right. So that's where we set the whole theme here and set the tone of. It's amazing.
Starting point is 01:05:32 Yeah. The murder McDonald's. And honestly, it's, again, it's all about how you, how you, like, present yourself and how you, you know what I'm saying? Like, if you look like you know where you're going and know what you're doing, people tend not to fuck with you. It's just a weird thing. Yeah, but you can also have. Not that anyone should fuck with you ever, but, you know what I'm saying. You can also appear to be in the right spot and know where you're going and somebody will still fish to see if you're, if you're, if that's what you are.
Starting point is 01:06:06 And don't buy, don't, don't get, don't give them space. Don't give them the opportunity. Just fucking ignore it. But also look like you're, I mean, you could look at them and acknowledge that you're aware of them. You acknowledge, motherfucker I see you and you're doing shit. me. That's the way you've got to look at them. You have to. I got you. I got my eye on you motherfucker and they, yeah, they respect that shit. People respect that shit. That's just how I walk around in these cities at two in the
Starting point is 01:06:37 morning all the time. Yeah. Otherwise, they're going to think that you're, we're on the road. Yeah, you're right. They're going to fucking mark otherwise. They're going to roll you. It's it. You're part of this. You're part of this. Looking to fuck with you. That's how it is. It's it. I think I probably have a little easier than most because I'm, certainly. I'm bigger. I'm pretty big person. And, and, And I'm always like smoking weed too. So it's... And you know what else helps?
Starting point is 01:07:00 They're like a lewet guy alone. If they can't see your eyes, it's fucking enormous. It's like, well, I don't ever wear sunglasses, but I haven't pulled down, though. But I'm just saying, as a smaller guy, I wear sunglasses so they don't see what I'm looking at. That helps. That helps. And I've been fucked with less, but being small invites the real fucking ones that jerk off at me. Those guys happen all the time.
Starting point is 01:07:25 Yeah. Generally, those guys will, they don't fuck with me generally. That's crazy. Good for you. Just tall, that's all. I said, tall. And I think smoke weed, it helps too, because they think that you're like one of them. They're like, oh, you're doing drugs on the street walking around it two in the morning.
Starting point is 01:07:39 So you must be a dirt bag also. And then they don't fuck with you. They assume that you're... I had a guy. I had a blunt. It was just a black and mile. I was walking down the street with, and he's like, let me, yo, let me hit that. And I was like, it's all yours now, man.
Starting point is 01:07:53 And I just walked away. And then he threw it down. because it wasn't weird. I thought you're giving him a blunt. He took my fucking cigar, you dick. Let's do a couple quick ones here. Gustavo, three stars. His whole review is, quote,
Starting point is 01:08:09 The fatal bathrooms. There it is. The fatal bathrooms. Is this guy a murder tourist? He just wanted to go see the scene of where somebody was murdered? I'm not sure. These bathrooms are really bad, too, I think, here. And then we'll end this with Maria.
Starting point is 01:08:23 We'll set it all up for next week here. I'll end this with Maria, two stars. I have a complaint about the guy in the photo behind me. I stop by every morning to buy something, but I hardly ever see him there. He told me I couldn't sit there because I ordered my food online, and he said it in a rude way. He wouldn't stop talking. If they're going to hire someone, they should train them on how to treat people badly. I don't think that's what you meant to say.
Starting point is 01:08:49 No. And the other gentleman in the photo came over politely to tell me everything was fine. What a disappointment. And it's just two pictures of looks like it's two black dudes that look like they're now arguing with each other. Where he's like, she can't sit there and this motherfucker's like, she's good.
Starting point is 01:09:07 And they've taken the fight amongst themselves now. All right. So we'll leave it there. We'll leave it right there. We will, now that's, I can't wait to get back for next week to the murder McDonald's now. I'm fucking jacked for that.
Starting point is 01:09:19 So next week, back at the murder McDonald's. And of course, much, much, much more. There are some wild shit going on. on in this place. It's fucking hilarious.
