Your Transformation Station - #141: Contextual AI | Overthinking and Digital Transformation

Episode Date: March 23, 2026

"Why do I overthink everything?" It’s the questions you would ask yourself at one point in your life, especially when the creative process feels like it’s stalling. In this episode of Your Trans...formation Station, authentic podcast host Gregory Favazza takes personal growth listener engagement past the creative process to look at the mechanical "why" behind our mental loops. We’re diving deep into self-evaluation around the future of work and business psychology, specifically examining ai and leadership blind spots. As we integrate ai-powered voice assistants into our daily operations, we have to ask: does study ai have instant homework solutions for the modern executive, or are we just automating our biases? We even explore how ai transforms online dating to ai relationships, shifting how we connect personally and professionally. Gregory blends thought provoking questions psychological and soical psychology and observational humor to bridge the gap between education and execution. We discuss the importance of ai contextual organizational knowledge and the necessity of data transparency in a digital age. Plus, a look at how growing up in the 1990s affected the 90s kids through "Happy reading, read2succeed free program sponsored by six flags theme parks." Join us as we expose the patterns behind your decisions and help you see yourself clearly in an AI-driven world. Learn more: https://www.ytsthepodcast.com/s5e141 Learn more about your ad choices. Starting point is 00:00:00 Coming up on your transformation station, what happens when people stop thinking and don't even realize it? People are dating robots to simulate emotional connection. Holy shit. What about employees making decisions they don't fully understand? Sending that email they didn't even fucking read. Look at students. Turn it in papers they don't fully think through. AI does not replace human decisions.
Starting point is 00:00:22 No, it does not. It only supports them when used correctly. To give you guys some information about this episode, This is not to lecture you or teach you. If this episode hits home to you, then this is definitely going to be your episode. This is your transformation station. And this is your host, Greg Favaza. Read to succeed.
Starting point is 00:00:48 Says read six hours. Earn that six flags ticket. I know you guys have experienced that. Elementary school. School Scholastics comes in. You're fucking excited. and that project just happens to come on out project or is it like a fucking i don't know it starts at the beginning of the year and you have to like maybe like a month or two to complete it but you get
Starting point is 00:01:10 that six flags ticket all you had all i did i don't know for everybody else but for that six hours i actually did about 15 minutes of actual reading i mean the remaining time you just wrote that buck or down but that's where it's still That's where our society is has been formed to adhere to. And what do I mean by that? Look at students, turn it in papers they don't fully think through. I was one of those students.
Starting point is 00:01:43 I've used generative AI to create paper based on the information. I gave it and it worked out well. What about employees making decisions they don't fully understand? sending that email they didn't even fucking read trusting this kind of judgment to the software to AI leaders are approving systems they can't actually see the reason why they're fucking approving it is because they promised them
Starting point is 00:02:16 a quick turnaround to a problem that's a lot bigger than actually is and people are dating robots to simulate emotional connection holy shit I'm talking about beyond the movie her from 2020 2013 I forget his fucking name who's in it but he ends up falling in love with a robot named Samantha and then the fucking punch at the end is she's also dating 637 users so it's like this shit happens in real live and it happens in the fucking cyber world like come on now it this AI is is becoming biased. But seriously, I mean, nobody's stopping to think because it isn't about the tool. It's about what happens when people stop thinking and don't even realize it. If this episode hits home to you, then this is definitely going to be your episode.
Starting point is 00:03:18 Our official intelligence or AI, first to ability of a machine to recognize as patterns, makes predictions. AI does not replace human decisions. No, it does not. It only supports them when used correctly. To give you guys some information about this episode, this is not to lecture you or teach you anything about the specifics of programming, tabulation. We aren't going to do that. We're specifically looking at the psychology of the effects on individuals.
Starting point is 00:03:55 All right, according to Harvard Institute for Business and Global Society, human experience and judgment are still critical. AI cannot reliably tell the difference between a truly strong idea and an average one. And it cannot guide long-term business strategy on its own. I mean, we both have seen it. I mean, all of us here. I don't know why I said both. Like, I'm looking at myself like, it's just you and me. But all of us.
Starting point is 00:04:25 We have put in some sort of prompt, gave us an answer, and we just recognize that answer. Like, dude, no, not what I fucking said, or how do you think that's possible? And it gives you like a thousand different reasons. I'm like, holy shit. Like, if you're narcissist, like, this literally is your new best friend. Like, it cherry picks everything to support your idea. Holy shit. But it, the problem is this.
Starting point is 00:04:55 I mean, AI can process information fast, yes, but it still needs people to decide what matters, what direction to take, and what the tradeoff to make. As AI tools are becoming easier for everyone to use, they may not be as accessible to some, but for those, it's very accessible. but there's still a very different result-based judgment on how they think and make decisions. That shift is happening right fucking now. And when I say that shift, it's that shift that we are now in the fourth industrial revolution. We are in the era of AI. And just up ahead is the generative era, where AI is doing, its own thinking for itself.
Starting point is 00:05:54 This is the point. AI, it's not about the advantage. Judgment is. What will matter most when everyone tells someone to take what AI gives them and turns it into clear, grounded, affected decisions. If you are using AI at work, which we all know you are,
Starting point is 00:06:20 knocking on that fucking wood there, this table. The question that we consider within our own employees, yes, this is management, leadership, and everything you can expect from a professional podcast, and then some with authenticity. Is this new generation, or is this specifically appointed person going to take the lead in this AI adoption for your business?
Starting point is 00:06:55 Or as an entrepreneur or government agent, government organization. Like these things are very important to bring up here because what credentials do you need to have? I mean, growing up, like, we were supposed to have a degree. And then that's what you need to know to show that you can apply yourself to something, that you can be consistent. I mean, what does it mean to even have a fucking degree today? 2026 in March I mean
Starting point is 00:07:33 it shows that you are capable of being consistent showing up at the right place at the right time well apparently I mean doing it online you don't need to have the right uniform or outfit I mean you can just do it in your birthday suit whatever seems to work for you but uh
Starting point is 00:07:51 it's it's something to consider Because credentials, I mean, is that an understanding in AI, its practical use? What about NPL? What about word prompts? What about the effects that it has on our health, our mental health, and other factors that we've got to consider it. What about good qualities? Like, if somebody is taking point on, hey, everybody, I'm going to take a take.
Starting point is 00:08:31 in all this new technology and apply it to all of our governments, to all of the places that we need to fast track our society, because we have been behind for so long until recently. What good qualities should they have? And can their good qualities be considered bad qualities in certain circumstances as a double-edged sword? You can be a hard worker, but then during that interview, like, what's one bad thing about you? I have to work too hard. Like, which what is it, motherfucker? And I mean, if that's the case, then we need to be looking at characteristics and attributes
Starting point is 00:09:12 rather than good qualities. I mean, what I feel like is the main focus point here is do they have enough judgment to know when the output is right and when it is not? because of this. I mean, a new skill is becoming necessary today. And for those, it's not even a skill. I mean, critically critical thinking, judgment. I mean, what we know now is the standard, it needs to be up here.
Starting point is 00:09:52 And for those that can't see this video, about 10 feet above you is where this new level of thinking needs to be. and this is where I'm going to go into that. I mean, for AI to have a real impact, executives, entrepreneurs, as we were just speaking, need more than just to know how to use the tool. It's a strong direction-making strategy and leadership skills. Now, it sounds pretty normal. It sounds like if you don't know that,
Starting point is 00:10:23 then you already suck at life in the business world, but that's not what we're going at. I mean, as far as having a business, Acume, you develop this in a lifespan, but knowing the what and the how. And when I say business Acume, it's the understanding on how business works. It's how it makes money and how it creates value. It's the financial awareness. It's understanding the market. Okay. It's thinking strategically. And it also helps connect to different parts of a business so decisions are not made in isolation. that's the first one
Starting point is 00:11:01 specifically leadership intelligence okay the who and the why this is mine this is my bread and butter right here okay leadership intelligence it's not about understanding
Starting point is 00:11:15 people but it's also the team dynamics culture Jesus such a great buzzword that we still struggle to lack to correct after how many years but self-refer
Starting point is 00:11:31 awareness. It focused on motivating others, influencing behavior, and making sure people are aligned with the goals. Now, management strategy, the when and the where, we all know this. We all seen this. For those that need this description, it's how plans actually get carried out, how it includes setting priorities, making tradeoffs, allocating resources, and making sure the work gets done. Now,
Starting point is 00:12:11 those three different skills, but they work together. If this water will stand up by its own, business acume, leadership intelligence, intelligence, management strategy, okay, leaders who develop all things,
Starting point is 00:12:36 are the most effective because they can think clearly, lay people well, and execute consistently. This seems to be a norm in all organizations where we preach these qualities, yet how many individuals are representing it, and not just at one specific level. How about to the lowest level? Is that the same, are you giving the same amount of effort if you were communicating with someone at a high level to also at a low level? I mean, you should be. I mean, it should be with about respect. We're all grown men and women here.
Starting point is 00:13:26 That kind of effort should be displayed. But I know damn well that's not happening in society. I mean, imagine, I mean, going to the grocery store, just trying to get the hell out of there. People like to huddle, you know, when you're figuring out your bags as you put your grocery cart away, it's just somehow they all just want to congregate as like a group of random individuals. Like, hey, what the hell's going on over here? Like, oh, I'm just getting my bags out of the car. Like, why the fuck are you watching me?
Starting point is 00:13:58 What do you think I'm pulling out a fucking rabbit out of the bag? Like, you think I'm a magician? Dude, we get the same bag as each other. Oh, my God. Just don't get me started with that. I mean, it... You got to love psychology. Leadership in the age of AI.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Now, for those that are listening, I'm going to ask you a couple questions, and I really would like for you to think about this. what surprises you about AI what honestly if we were to look deep into it what's the first thing that comes to your mind I'll tell you
Starting point is 00:14:46 I think of Terminator 3 SkyNet takes over for those that don't know what that's all about I'll attach the clips to the video AI is confused with cyber I mean what several CEOs
Starting point is 00:15:11 or executives will say to my question about what surprises them. It's the fact of governance, controls, rules, principles, okay, that's at stake. They're frightened about radical data transparency. I mean, there's no reason to be unless, I mean, the data you report is incorrect. But that's the scary thing for, those
Starting point is 00:15:44 are in a high level who have to continuously watch this information this data that's being recorded to to share with to provide this transparency about the organization
Starting point is 00:15:59 because it's not always accurate or as it's constantly changing like you, it's not ready yet you can't keep procrastinating we now have the ability to access what you see in real time at any time. But here's the thing we all have been asking ourselves.
Starting point is 00:16:25 Isn't that what organizations have been promising us? This kind of transparency? We want to know if we have a job that's secure for the next five years. We have a family. We have children. We have fucking plans to go on vacation. Like, you think we woke up and decided to work for the rest of the rest of the of our lives.
Starting point is 00:16:46 Fuck no. Fuck no. We worked our ass off to fix ourselves, to find the greatest organization to be a part of. And we work for them. And now that's at stake because of what? No, we ain't dealing with that. We don't want that kind of shit. But for those that have lied to us, I mean, I can think of.
Starting point is 00:17:16 one company. Facebook. You remember that video? You remember that fucking thing? Oh my God. That was back in 2022. What is her name? I'm looking at the notes right here. I quote
Starting point is 00:17:35 Sarah Williams correction. It's hyphen no. Sarah Winn-Williams. Meta, Facebook, a former meta-director. Content that is hateful, that is divisive, and that is polarizing, it's easier to inspire people to anger
Starting point is 00:17:57 than it is to other emotions. Interesting. They've collected data and then been selling it to other countries. Like, what the fuck? Like, that was a huge payout. Now the next question. What mindset do people need to adopt? in the workforce for all generations as well as we approach this new era of generative
Starting point is 00:18:35 AI I mean this is something very serious now for understanding that the era that we're in I want to just give you a list a little listel a little history lesson with the AI era. I mean, there's three levels. There's narrow AI, broad AI, and general AI. Okay, narrow AI. That's where you're using right now, but it only is limited to one thing, recommending a video, answer questions. Flag, fraud, it's useful, but it's limited. But, see, I don't think we're even narrow. I feel like we're more broad. No, no. broad AI. This is where systems start connecting across multiple areas. Businesses love this. It helps them with automate decisions, connects data, and scales. Yeah, we're in broad AI. But the scary one,
Starting point is 00:19:44 where everybody is afraid of is general AI, which is not that far away. It's where it thinks for itself, adapts, operates across everything, and operates as a human, think about this, okay, what would it be for a system, like, think of it as a system that can think, adapt, and operate across anything like a human, what do you think the first thing it's going to do when it gets to that point? Are you still thinking Terminator 3? No, but seriously, the real question that we need to be addressing right now is are you still thinking for yourself
Starting point is 00:20:49 or is the machine just getting better at telling you what to do? That's the scary thing. Are you just getting better at repeating what the machine is telling you? artificial intelligence doesn't think okay let's kill this idea right now
Starting point is 00:21:12 it's calculated that's not it's not instincts it's no gut feeling it it doesn't have I've seen this before in a human sense it's just math
Starting point is 00:21:26 moving faster than you ever could it's a pattern reckon yeah could be reckoned it's a pattern reckoning machine reckoning Jesus Christ
Starting point is 00:21:41 Oh my God This is fucking hilarious Oh That's where machine learning comes in Think of it like this All right It's like training a dog Except the dog
Starting point is 00:21:55 Is made of equations And has zero loyalty to you And That's where I got the idea Like what is that movie It's her You know, that's exactly what it is. The movie her is nothing against women. It's just literally that movie is the beginning
Starting point is 00:22:16 of where we are going to. And I will tell you, because it reveals the next funniest thing that I came across. Today, there's a modern app right now, and it's called Eva AI. And I'm not promoting this at all, I think it's hilarious and definitely creepy, but this is an app that you can create, you can create its feature. How even be? I mean, his or her features, and you can make them look like anything, and people are dating them. I get the point behind it, but this is what experts are saying.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Experts say this is actual practice phase into getting people back into dating. However, what they're also saying is that it can't replace dating. Yet people are becoming reliant on it. As in, why haven't I gotten my text? message from my girlfriend. It's like, Eva, like, what do you doing?
Starting point is 00:23:43 Like, Tom, back off, all right? I'm talking to other users. Oh, man. Like, just to put a disclaimer out there, I am not recommending people to download this out. I'm just proving a point. But the short answer here is yes, we have a real problem. Guys, I hope you've enjoyed today's episode. I hope you're able to get something out of this. Because the point of this episode is that we are beginning to lose the depth of ourselves. When I say the depth, what makes us who we are, think about it. If you're constantly using the system, or even shadow AI for those that are using it under the table. I don't know there's a difference, but apparently there is.
Starting point is 00:24:53 For those that are using it quietly to publicly, I guess, in the workplace, you are training your brain to take information without even challenging it. It almost feels like we could face this potential. potential spot where we end up going backwards in time. I mean, right before Google, I mean, everybody says, I'll just Google it. Okay. We all knew what that was like. People stopped asking questions to professionals.
Starting point is 00:25:36 Like, hey, how do you do this? Hey, what do I need to do to accomplish this fucking problem? Now everybody's just looking it up online. I've Google that shit. Now it's chat GDP this shit. Now, what's the next one? And at that point, how much depth is there? And at what point can you think for yourself at that specific point without having to refer every question to AI?
Starting point is 00:26:05 And what are our capabilities going to be? Because yes, that's a point, evolution. We're going to transition. I mean, it's like getting a, wisdom teeth pulled i mean notice how the next generation doesn't have wisdom teeth or it's coming in but not even attached to the gum line i was one of those kids like i had my wisdom teeth come in and they weren't even attached except one i think that shit was wild i was like i did not see that coming they're like the they're like they need i need the nitrous that's what i needed but psychologically and
Starting point is 00:26:51 our critical thinking skills, the depth, the clarity, this is all being threatened. Yes, it's going to give us answers faster, but at what expense, that's the real question. I'll see you guys next time. Thanks for joining us on this adventure of growth and discovery.
