All right. Hey, everybody. Good morning out there who is listening.
Today I want to talk about satisfiers and dissatisfiers.
Now, when we compare these two as motivational tools for leaders,
I want to understand the indicators that we look at or
Do we even recognize that promotes this motivation inside of us?
Now, in terms of positive attributes, the satisfiers, doing enjoyable work, achievement, having the idea for possibility of growth and responsibility, advancement, and recognition.
Having these in mind is what motivates us internally to wake up every day and go for a job, go for a career, rather than just making a paycheck.
It's what's driving change internally and also externally.
Now, with that in mind, let's compare the negative attributes.
the dissatisfiers
okay
at the job that you work at
it could be
say a poor organizational policy
maybe
an emphasis
lack of money
unhealthy
working conditions you put yourself
through
like I'm guilty of that
I definitely do that
it's
low status
hostile
relationships. These are all negative attributes that are happening around you that you don't even,
you might not even recognize as negative until they start to really cause an effect on you,
whether it's through your health, mental health, physical health. It's a term, what is it
call it's a fallacy where it's the boiling frog fallacy. I mean if you throw a frog right into a pot,
all right, it's going to jump right out because it's hot, it's boiling. But the only way to actually
get the frog to cook and stay in there is to put him in cold water and then turn the heat up.
So he doesn't realize he's being boiled alive. That is where we find ourselves in trouble.
as where we find ourselves experiencing this misunderstanding in our own strengths and weaknesses.
And the most important thing that we need to do is not to focus on closing the gaps,
but instead focus on what you are ready good at and hone that.
Because you can trust yourself in making the right choice,
to get to where you need to go.
I appreciate you guys for listening.
