All right. Here we go. Let's talk about leadership effectiveness.
My name is Greg Favaza. I am the show host of Your Transformation Station.
For those that have been listening to me prior on the Wisdom app, I do appreciate your time and you allowing me to inspire you.
I do apologize. I missed yesterday. I have myself a little cold.
still getting over it and it's a new day this is your morning wake up and we're looking into
leadership effectiveness now when we think about an effective leader an individual
on stage who is delivering a concept a theory his idea to incite you
think about how he is delivering his message.
And if you can't relate that to mine,
then think back at a time when you were at your last business meeting,
when you were sitting as somebody in a higher authority
or an individual that was teaching you a new concept,
think about their actions.
their posture, their delivery, their tonality.
What did they emphasize on?
That's when I want to highlight.
This is something that requires self-awareness.
I'm not going to go into that.
I'm sure we all know how we can develop that.
But that should be a footstomp as a reminder,
hey, self-awareness applies to this
when I'm communicating my value proposition,
my brand identity,
me as an authority within an organization.
So you're walking around, you're in charge of a team,
how are you displaying yourself back to
who I was communicating with,
what I was talking about,
the individual who's giving the person,
presentation, is he giving eye contact when communicating out to his audience? Is he listening
when an individual has a question and going deep into it? Is he thinking about his message? Is he
passionate about where he wants to inspire? Like what he wants to do?
These are all very relevant ideas and actions that need to be considered when you're communicating with someone.
It's, to me, it's demotivating to demotivating to hear someone convey something without them even being passionate about it,
without even them giving a shit about what they're trying to say.
They're just literally monologuing.
All you want them to do is shut the fuck up and move.
on to the next individual who cares.
You obviously don't care, so why should I care?
I know if we all had a boss like that that's been that way.
And it's like, dude, I don't care because you don't.
But if you're in charge of a team and you have that mentality,
you're already affecting individuals and ruining their lives, essentially,
because you're supposed to be teaching them.
I mean, if you really think about it, when an employee quits their job, are they really quitting their job?
Or are they actually quitting the manager?
Are they quitting the team leader?
That's who they're really quitting.
It's something to think about.
It's important to think about.
We all have this learner's mindset where we want to be more.
We want to be better.
But how do you actually get?
get better improve yourself yeah we can read we can go work out we can go study something new
we can go teach a class that's fantastic that's a good temporary high that will serve you
a good experience for about a week and then you're back to zero what you can do rather than
putting a band-aid over something that's going to fall apart is fucking look in the mirror
and see what's bothering you from fucking 10 years ago, 20 years ago.
We all got some sort of history that's lurking, that's hurting,
that you're inflicting onto the people that you live with,
the ones that are close to you,
the ones that fucking love you and you don't even know what you're doing.
And they try to tell you and you think they're the problem.
Now you can play this projection theory,
Oh, am I projecting my shit under this individual because of her or vice versa.
I mean, if you want to get into the psychology of it and gaslight the hell out of the individual, yeah, you'll come out on top.
But you'll be the asshole.
We're all doing something that's been infected from our social upbringing.
We're all doing it.
What are you doing to recognize what you're doing to everybody else?
Yeah, you can.
You can do all these great things and I want you to.
I want you to get on top of it because that's how you maintain it.
But if you can't address the shit that's fucking hurting you, you're not doing anything worthwhile.
Because the moment you stop, the moment you're going to fall apart.
That's how it was for me.
I did the military five and a half years.
A machine.
I fucking love structure and non-stop.
production and being in progress.
When I'm not getting progress done, I hate my life.
Yeah, I'll be honest with that. I hate it.
I thrive off seeing good results.
But the moment I stopped, the moment everything was falling apart,
I was active duty. I haven't taken a vacation since the time I started.
It was three and a half years in.
I was afraid to take a vacation.
I didn't know why.
I just couldn't stop working because I wanted to.
So the point where they made me,
it's like, Greg, there's enough.
That's enough.
You need to relax, be with family.
No, family's in a fucking different state.
They're like, I don't care.
Just take time off and relax.
Well, as soon as I did that, I was contemplating suicide.
Because that's when everything started flooding back,
everything and all that reflection just it hurt and all I want to do was go back to work
so I had to face it now ask yourself is that what you are doing are you avoiding these things
that are bothering you are you avoiding the trauma are you avoiding the social dilemmas
that you're dealing with.
Well, I appreciate you guys for listening.
My name is Greg Favaza.
I'm the podcast host of Your Transformation Station.
My thoughts about this app, I really love this app.
And I see there's a guest that wants to get on.
That means a lot to me that you want to get on.
I'm still breaking it in.
And, yeah, I'm not.
not ready to have a guest on just yet i got to get comfortable being on this it's a different
platform i know i have my weird fucking little ticks and issues that i have to go through
in order to feel comfortable i'll go ahead and share any all that you know i'm just weird
but i definitely want to do that and if i can get a really good guest i definitely want to
feature you on your transformation station and also real life transformation examples and definitely
do a live stream.
So there's like there's a lot of things I want to do with this app.
This app is badass.
I fucking love this app.
And overall, I want to try to come here at least every morning and just do a recording
of something, whether it's my, it's a.
personal reflection, whether it's interaction, something that can really illustrate a point that I want to get across
because I know we all grew up without experiencing that mentor that's supposed to teach us. I mean,
I'm the youngest of seven and nobody taught me shit. So that's like that's definitely one of many
that's driving me to get on here and teach you guys.
And I'm not that individual that's just pulling shit out of his ass to communicate.
Yeah, I mean, yeah, there's a little bit to entertain you.
But I like to try to learn and research before I get on the mic and start talking.
Relevancy, it could be last year.
Definitely need to stay on top of my education to make sure that I'm delivering relevant content to incite.
the minds that are listening.
And, yeah, thanks again for listening.
If you want to learn more, you can check out my YouTube channel.
God, it's so weird saying that.
I'm not really like a YouTube guy, but I need to in order to grow.

And really good interviews I post there or on the,
the Facebook page, which is YTS, the podcast.
