Welcome to Your World Within Daily.
I'm Eddie Panero.
In this episode, I want to talk about how the things we fear most,
the prevent us from moving forward, they rarely happen.
And when they do, they're just not that bad.
So good morning, happy Monday.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
Enjoyed the Sunday special I put up yesterday.
A nice interview with Steve and Terry,
if you get a chance to check that out.
Pretty cool conversation.
And today I want to talk about something a little bit different as I sit here in North Carolina.
I don't have video set up yet.
So for those on YouTube, you're getting audio waves, but it's all good.
I'll have it up and rolling probably today, so later today.
So for tomorrow morning.
But I have a story time here.
So as I was driving up Saturday morning, my plan was to get from Florida.
word out of North Carolina. It's about 11-hour drive. I figured I'd stop a couple times, maybe 12
hours. And I'm in between Jacksonville and Savannah, and this is what's so interesting. I'm talking
to one of my childhood friends that I grew up with, and he's like, what are you doing? Why North
Carolina? You know, and I'm telling them about my plans with Zach and, you know, growing the channel
and all this stuff. And I'm like, you know, I'm not sure to work. I think it will. I think it's a solid
plan and I think, you know, maybe it's a couple months, maybe it's longer, but I, you know,
I'm confident that this is the spark of energy that I need for my stuff and my content and the
brand. And he goes, Eddie, you know, something I've always appreciated about you is your ability
to take risks, right? Your willingness to take risks. And literally, as he says that, the back left
tire blew up off like not just a flat like it blew off the rim and uh i'm like well mike i'm
gonna have to call you back man um i don't know what's going on here so i pull into the breakdown lane
and i don't have a spare it's a it's a tiny car and uh it just didn't come with a spare it's got
like an air compressor instead so first thing i do triple a they say it's going to be three hours
and nothing's open, and rather than calling a mechanic,
because I'm assuming there's all hell broke loose back there,
I didn't know what was going on.
She's like, you know, I'd call a hotel.
This is, you know, no man's land in Georgia.
Nothing's open Saturday, two, which I think it was,
and the dealerships wouldn't get me in.
And Sunday, everything's closed, right?
So, you know, buckle up, bud, you're staying the weekend was essentially the idea.
And you hear that, and it just seems like, no, like this can't happen.
I have so much to do.
I have to go.
I'm moving forward.
I got plans.
And I'm, you know, frantically calling people.
And, you know, just trying to pull myself out of this ditch that I feel like I fell into.
And nothing's working.
And no one's open.
And sure enough, you know, I'm like, well, I'm going to have to, I'm going to be in Georgia.
And then it kind of dawns on me.
And this is the interesting part.
it's like who cares
who cares you know
it's not the end of the world it doesn't this is such a small thing
that for about an hour
seemed like a very big thing
and it's just not
it's not a big deal
um
whatever's wrong with the car
we'll get fixed Monday I can work in the hotel
life moves on
and these are the things that like
Like, on the surface level, these are the things that we're scared of.
These are the things, like, if someone said, Eddie, what's the worst case scenario?
Other than, like, you know, a serious tragedy on the road, it'd be like, yeah, having, you know, all my equipment in the car and having a tire blow out on a, you know, 95 degrees in South Georgia.
And that happened.
Who cares?
Right.
And I'm like, well, I'm, you know, bracing myself for it.
and realize it's not the end of the world.
And then what's even more interesting is one of my friends in Boston,
I told him about the situation.
He's calling all these places.
They're telling them they're closed or they don't have the tire.
It's like a little, it's a two-door car, so it's a little tire.
And he finds this guy in the woods of Georgia that has it and that comes out on the highway.
He's like working on the car.
He lifts it up and, you know, he spends a half,
doing whatever he's doing. I'm not even, not even sure. But he ends up fixing it and,
you know, four hours later, sitting on the highway, I'm on the road again. I don't even need to say.
So like, it's just interesting. It just made me think, you know, my mind was going through all these
hurdles in my mind. And I walked away thinking, like, the things we worry about, they just don't matter.
one because the worst case is not that bad and two because we solve them anyway and you know again we're
talking about another metaphor another little kind of silly thing being on the side of the road who cares
but that same idea is everywhere that same idea we're like oh no this could happen it's like one it
probably won't and two if it does you'll figure it out like there's there's such power in
in trusting yourself to figure it out to put pieces together as you move forward into unknowns because the
unknown is always the scary thing what can be is always the scary thing um you know i feel like
i want to get this tattooed on my forehead confidence is earned well maybe
Maybe not forehead, but that was just a bad metaphor.
But it's an important quote.
Confidence is earned everywhere, everywhere.
You have to learn to trust yourself.
You have to learn that things will go wrong because that's life.
But they're not as bad as you'd think.
And you have the ability to fix them.
When you know that, it really is a coat of armor.
Because what you'll find is like the things, the possibilities that stop most people don't stop you.
It's that little advantage.
It's that 20% that sets your apart, that changes, that puts your life on a different trajectory.
Just simply trusting yourself.
So I wanted to pass that message along today.
I hope it helps you guys with whatever it is you're doing.
And again, think bigger than, you know,
my little story about, you know, car problems.
Think about whatever it is you're doing.
Think about what's holding you back.
Think about what you fear.
Think about what can go wrong and know that the likelihood is probably not good that it will.
And if it does, the likelihood is high that you'll figure it out and you'll get through it because that's what you're about.
So I hope you enjoyed this podcast.
If you did, please subscribe, rate, review.
helps me get this message out to the world.
And guys, I appreciate that.
So thank you for listening.
And we will catch you tomorrow morning with some new video footage this time.
So we'll be back on track.
Have an amazing day.
