Your World Within Podcast by Eddie Pinero - Connect the Dots
Episode Date: July 8, 2020In this episode I re-examine our perception of obstacles and challenges that lie ahead. Instead of asking ourselves whether a problem can be solved, what if we started with the premonition that it c...an, and instead moved right to the solution. If where you are is a dot, and where you want to be is a dot, the focus and energy should be on simply connecting the two, as all dots connect.

Welcome to Your World Within Daily. I'm Eddie Panero, and in this episode, I want to talk about a way to look at the problems, challenges, the obstacles ahead, in a way that transforms them from this dark unknown to a door that needs to be walked through.
So good morning. Today I want to talk about an idea called connecting the dots. And this simple idea, I'm surprised. Maybe I have talked about it before. I'm not sure. But I want to do that. I want to do that.
dedicate a whole episode to it because it's really, it's transformative in how you problem
solve and how you approach the things that you face, right? And so, you know, my past, this past
year I've been working on a project with Terry and Steve. Some of you, you know him from my previous
podcast, where, you know, we faced a lot of challenges. We faced a lot of problems. We faced a lot of
that needed to be solved, as all young businesses do or new ventures.
And something that, you know, I thought was really incredible.
And it's funny, in the thick of it, maybe he didn't even realize until, like, you step out and
you go, yeah, it's a really important thing.
I'm going to take that with me is the idea of not asking if something can be done,
but it can and how.
How do you connect the dots, right?
If where you are as a point, and this is the beauty of this, it's so simple, but so effective.
If where you are as a point and where you want to be as a point, you can connect the two.
The question is how?
How do you do it in a way that's effective, efficient?
How do you make it happen?
But you can, right?
Everything is a spin.
Everything is a pivot.
The question is, are you arranging the pieces around you to make that happen, right?
and I can think of, you know, a million different things from little things like, you know,
me realizing this morning the battery was not charged in this camera, I have kind of a tight, you know,
I got to be out of the house by like 6.45 a.m. to take my car to a dealership, you know,
and so small things, right? How do you make that happen? How do you figure it out? You're charging it.
You're finding an extension, whatever. To, you know, we talked about like Bray Brown,
who, you know, originally talked about vulnerability. And that's still.
still her thing, but we read one of her business-oriented books. And so, for example, in her world,
she connected the dot. She pivoted to make that message applicable to corporations so she can now
speak to corporations all over the world. That's a pivot. That's dot connecting. You have a podcast
that, you know, you're trying to improve your reach. It's possible. You can double, triple, quadruple
your numbers. How? Right. What do you do?
to make that happen. And so I think it's just an incredible philosophy because you don't waste time
with the if, right? No, it's a yes. But here's a dot and here's a dot. And what are you doing about
the middle stuff? Right. How are you making that a reality? And if you keep that in your back
pocket and you start there, you'll find that you get a lot more done and you get a lot more done
quickly because you know that it's not up to, you know, the world to tell you what's up.
It's up to you to take the problem and solve it.
Like I've said before, life is a game.
I really believe that.
It's a challenge.
It's supposed to be fun.
And that outlook is a weapon.
It really is.
So use it wisely.
Have an amazing day, guys.
