Welcome to Your World Within Daily. I'm Eddie Pinero. In this episode, we're going to talk about the seemingly contradictory idea that the hardest things we go through position us for the best things we'll ever achieve. Life is the greatest of teachers. But not in the way we think, right? Not in the way that's always intuitive to us. Sometimes we have to go through the most difficult of times. or experiences, situations to come out and realize that the difficult thing was what we needed most. And I'm going to play one of my favorite speeches called Life, the Greatest of Teachers, and it talks about different situations along the way where, you know, I went through something that I thought was terrible, sometimes, you know, larger than life bad. Like I couldn't even see or fathom how something good could come out of it. and it ended up being, you know, a launch pad to something greater.

And I feel like from a practical standpoint in terms of how this is valuable, well, one, it teaches us that the things that happened in the past, right, are dark spots, the parts of the turmoil and frustration, the chaotic parts of life, they hold a lot of the answers and the tools that we need moving forward. In other words, we learn the most about ourselves during the times we were most tested, and that stays with us. And then moving forward, it teaches us that the cave you fear holds the treasure you seek, as the quote says. The paradox that the exact thing you need could be the thing that's most uncomfortable and difficult for you. Both those things can be true at once.

They are not mutually exclusive. The things that seem the hardest, well, there's a pop song about that, right? The hardest thing and the right thing are the same. And that's ultimately what life is about, right? Having the courage to be one of life students. Our trials and tribulations are not obstacles that we circumvent and move on. They literally become our armor. They become who we are.

We stand on them as we move to greater things. And that's what this speech is about. It's called Life, the Greatest of Teachers. And I hope there's something in here that you can take, and you can put in your back pocket, and you can utilize and call on when you need it most. That would be a win. So here's the speech.

Have an amazing day. I'll catch you guys tomorrow. On that long drive, in the middle of the night with headlights and endless road in front of me. Everything I knew in the rear view mirror, I learned the value of making the difficult decision. During the times of disappointment, being let down by the ones I counted on I believed in, I learned the importance of loyalty, the power of being there for those who mean the most to you. Through the failures, the stress, the uncertainty, I learned that life goes on.

That when you allow yourself to fall, you build an immunity to the fear associated with hitting the ground. You get back up stronger. Through the heartbreak, the loss, the pain. I learn to appreciate every moment. To look around and not take any of this. for granted, to both recognize and appreciate the fragility of the present because with the snap of a finger, life can change. In the wake of past anger and conflict, I learned to pick my battles. That rarely is it worth my time. That our vantage points are merely a reflection of our backgrounds and understandings and even the slightest effort to understand. the person staring back at you

can be the difference between building up and tearing down. From being overlooked, disregarded, the smallest person in the room, I learned the value of true leadership. The benefit of empowering those around you and making them feel appreciated. That walking alone may sometimes be necessary,

but that building a vision that those around you believe in is unparalleled. Life is a teacher and only through its toughest tests can its curriculum be understood can its ideas and lessons take shape. What you need exists

so long as you open your eyes and you'll find an inevitable truth that this universe it wants you to wear. It's holding its hand out, providing you everything you need. Just understand. Understand that the lows prepare you for the highs. The losses set up the gains, the mistakes build a foundation

for the greatest things you will ever do. Life is a teacher. And should you listen, you'll see that it has no bounds, no restrictions, just the next chapter.
