Life is a combination of peaks and valleys.
It's comfort and it's chaos.
It's joy and it's grief.
You can't have one without the other.
And the better we understand the relationship,
the better life becomes.
I'm Eddie Pinero, and this is your world within day.
So life is peaks in valleys.
What do I mean?
Well, it's enjoying the peaks
and buckling down for the times of discomfort.
Not expecting everything to be perfect
because perfect, as we all know, does not.
exist, but making the most of what's in front of you. And I think that theme can be life-changing,
making the best with what's at our feet. It's a superpower. Because you can really never do more
than that. You can't build a house with materials you don't have, but you can look at the
components and decide how best to build it. It's where our answers are contained. It's always
the starting point. Does it mean you can't want more or work for more? But it will always
be true that you can only do what you can with what you have in the moment.
And in that moment, when things are amazing, when they're great appreciated, we cherish those times
because they come and they go, right? Life is fleeting and they capture and hold on to the good
things to encapsulate them as memories is the essence of life. But on the other hand,
and this is the point when you're in the trenches and things are hard, know that similarly
nothing is forever. Nothing.
And it's just as important to keep your head up and push,
because on the other side of every valley is another peak.
And sometimes it's out of sight.
Sometimes it's immersed in the fog of life or too far away to see, but it's there.
And the beautiful thing is along the way on our journey to obtain it.
We learn about ourselves.
We see what we're capable of.
We come face to face with the chaos of everyday life
so that when we ultimately fight our way through,
the highs mean something.
The peaks represent our upside and really what we know in our hearts to be true,
that for those willing to buckle up and endure,
the mountaintops will be plenty, and most importantly, they will be meaningful.
Not because we were entitled to them.
We're not entitled to anything, but because we earned them.
During those very moments, they were nowhere to be found.
Thanks for listening.
